- 0:00worried about the Central Park five well
- 0:02guess what he's one of the ones that was
- 0:04a part of that story and part of that
- 0:05and he's here with us in Henry County I
- 0:08wasn't I want him to come and just greet
- 0:11us and give his perspective
- 0:12come on yo let's make him feel welcome
- 0:14today I first like to see may the peace
- 0:24of blessings of the owner of all peace
- 0:27and blessings be upon all of it
- 0:31even Dubonnet once had a shirt on and
- 0:34said I am my ancestors wildest Rangers
- 0:37and I believe our ancestors are here
- 0:40today with us clapping cheering us on
- 0:42and lifting us up because of this effort
- 0:44that we are able to participate in at
- 0:50this time see we weren't going by
- 0:54mistake but we were born on purpose God
- 0:58chose us to be on the right side because
- 1:02we were born in struggle yes I know we
- 1:05have far too well because I was run over
- 1:07by the spiked wheels of justice at 15
- 1:09years old I'd never forget my appellate
- 1:13attorney a white man you all may know
- 1:16his name his name was Bill Kunstler or
- 1:19William Kunstler he came to the jail
- 1:22that I was in once while we were losing
- 1:24appeal after appeal after appeal and he
- 1:28said you know you sir this case the
- 1:32Central Park jogger case is such a case
- 1:37now this isn't a predominantly Christian
- 1:39country he said this he said this case
- 1:42is such a case that Jesus Christ himself
- 1:46couldn't have won that's how bad they
- 1:49wanted us and so we'll be looking at all
- 1:53of the end justices that are going on in
- 1:55our time we have to reconnect it to all
- 1:58of the end justices that have going on
- 1:59throughout time not just when we were
- 2:03brought over here as chattel slaves
- 2:05because it's not that John Henry Clark
- 2:07said we can't if you begin a people's
- 2:09history with slavery everything else
- 2:12looks like progress we were more than
- 2:15that
- 2:16we were better than that and now this is
- 2:19the time when we can restore our to
- 2:22freedom justice and equality so listen
- 2:26um I'm a member of the community we
- 2:28moved down here in 2016 and I'm happy to
- 2:34stand with you
- 2:37and I want to say that my prayer is that
- 2:43the Creator allow us to be a light in
- 2:48this world the Creator allow us to speak
- 2:52that which is light in this world to
- 2:56look at that which is light in this
- 2:58world to listen to that which will give
- 3:00light to this world to reach for that
- 3:03which is light in this world and most
- 3:06certainly as we begin the march to walk
- 3:10in a way that brings light to this world
- 3:12so thank you Pastor bishop for having me
