  1. 0:00The words that are coming out of your
  2. 0:01mouth right now are building a life that
  3. 0:03you're going to be living, and I have
  4. 0:04been observing many of you speaking a
  5. 0:07life that you don't even want into
  6. 0:09existence. This needs to stop. Some of
  7. 0:11you are saying things like, "I can't
  8. 0:12afford this. I always attract the wrong
  9. 0:14people." Or even, "I just can't stick to
  10. 0:16anything." And you think that you're
  11. 0:17describing what's happening, but your
  12. 0:19brain doesn't know the difference
  13. 0:20between a description and a direction.
  14. 0:23Every time you're saying, "I am"
  15. 0:25followed by anything, that's an
  16. 0:27instruction to your nervous system. And
  17. 0:29the reticular activating system in your
  18. 0:31brain will start filtering your reality
  19. 0:32to match that instruction. Your behavior
  20. 0:35then starts to shift to prove that
  21. 0:37assumption of yours is correct. And then
  22. 0:39slowly and quietly, the words that
  23. 0:40you're continuing to repeat to yourself
  24. 0:42becomes the life that you live. This
  25. 0:44video is sponsored by Jump Speak, which
  26. 0:45actually ties perfectly into what we're
  27. 0:47talking about today, and I'm going to
  28. 0:48tell you why in a minute. It is also
  29. 0:50about the things that you're not saying,
  30. 0:52by the way. Things that we are not
  31. 0:53declaring to ourselves out loud because
  32. 0:55there is a specific version of yourself
  33. 0:57that you want to become, but it remains
  34. 0:59only in your head because you've never
  35. 1:00actually spoken it into existence
  36. 1:02because you're afraid of sounding
  37. 1:04delulu. Or you may be afraid of being
  38. 1:06someone that you're not just yet. Maybe
  39. 1:08you could journal it out or make a
  40. 1:10vision board, but you still won't speak
  41. 1:12it out loud. I'm telling you, just as
  42. 1:14much as saying the wrong things, silence
  43. 1:16also costs us more than we realize. My
  44. 1:18name is May, and I'm here to help you
  45. 1:19level up physically, mentally, and
  46. 1:21spiritually, and my community is called
  47. 1:23Stoic Angels. My angels and I are all
  48. 1:25about doing the deep inner work as well
  49. 1:27as building outward at the same time. So
  50. 1:29this topic is particularly exciting for
  51. 1:32me because I have two degrees in design
  52. 1:34and psychology. I have literally spoken
  53. 1:36my dream life into existence. So this is
  54. 1:39my realm. If you want to build with us,
  55. 1:41subscribe to my channel because I make
  56. 1:42videos like this every week. I have also
  57. 1:44made a free digital guide for you that
  58. 1:46contains everything that we talk about
  59. 1:47plus additional exercises that you can
  60. 1:49do that's not in this video. This guide
  61. 1:51is free, so go and download it if you
  62. 1:54haven't already. So So, me show you why
  63. 1:55this matters. We're not talking about
  64. 1:57literal magic, but more about the
  65. 1:58semantics and symbolism of it. I have
  66. 2:01also heard someone say that in video
  67. 2:02games, you can't cast spells,
  68. 2:04particularly magic spells, when you're
  69. 2:06being silenced, because when you speak,
  70. 2:08that's how you cast magic. And I find
  71. 2:10that to be so true, because in a lot of
  72. 2:12ways for me, life itself, like here on
  73. 2:14planet Earth, is already so magical.
  74. 2:17Some of you guys may not believe me,
  75. 2:19that maybe you think there's something
  76. 2:20out there better, and you want to ascend
  77. 2:22to like the 27th dimension or whatever,
  78. 2:24but I have to disagree. Right here on
  79. 2:26Earth, this is the planet of choice, and
  80. 2:28we get to choose what we say in order to
  81. 2:30bring forth the kind of reality that we
  82. 2:32want, and we get to do this practically.
  83. 2:35It is already there, inherently
  84. 2:37available to us. It's really that
  85. 2:39simple. And I am saying this as someone
  86. 2:41who has done a ton of research into
  87. 2:44esotericism and spirituality, and I have
  88. 2:46come to this conclusion, that while most
  89. 2:48non-human things want to have what we
  90. 2:50have to the point of trying to possess
  91. 2:52our bodies and whatnot, and I'm not even
  92. 2:54going to digress any further than that,
  93. 2:56the worst thing for us to do is to be
  94. 2:59ungrateful about being here, and having
  95. 3:02a physical body with a literal voice,
  96. 3:04and being able to experience our planet
  97. 3:07Earth, especially in the way that we
  98. 3:08can, in our physical experience, to
  99. 3:10communicate our dream lives into
  100. 3:12reality, because again, we can do this,
  101. 3:15because we're here. Now, the word
  102. 3:16spelling comes from the word spell, and
  103. 3:18the word grammar comes from grimoire,
  104. 3:20which is a book of spells. Language was
  105. 3:22never just meant for communication.
  106. 3:24Historically, across every culture,
  107. 3:26words were understood as acts of
  108. 3:29creation, where you give your word, you
  109. 3:31cast a sentence, and you voice your
  110. 3:34opinions and your choices. This isn't
  111. 3:36just about poetic etymology, but it is
  112. 3:38also hard neuroscience behind this, and
  113. 3:41why speaking the right things changes
  114. 3:43our lives. This is also the reason why,
  115. 3:45technically, not all thoughts are valid,
  116. 3:47especially for those of us who have
  117. 3:49intrusive thoughts. When you're thinking
  118. 3:51a thought silently, you're activating
  119. 3:53your prefrontal cortex. But then when
  120. 3:54you're speaking the same thought out
  121. 3:55loud, you're activating not just the
  122. 3:57prefrontal cortex, but also your motor
  123. 3:59cortex because your mouth is moving,
  124. 4:01your auditory complex because you're
  125. 4:02hearing yourself say it, and your
  126. 4:04Broca's area, which is responsible for
  127. 4:06language production. You go from one
  128. 4:08region to four regions. Your brain is
  129. 4:10literally processing all this
  130. 4:12information four times harder than when
  131. 4:14you say it out loud versus when you
  132. 4:16think it. This is why talking to
  133. 4:18yourself out loud isn't crazy. It's
  134. 4:19actually one of the most effective ways
  135. 4:21to rewire your brain. And I talk to
  136. 4:23myself all the time. My husband makes
  137. 4:25fun of me for it, but I really do. And
  138. 4:28no offense to him, my life changes way
  139. 4:30harder than his. Researchers at the
  140. 4:31University of Michigan found that people
  141. 4:33who refer to themselves in the third
  142. 4:35person using their name performed better
  143. 4:37under pressure and had lower anxiety.
  144. 4:39Instead of saying, "I got this," they
  145. 4:41would say their own name, "May, you got
  146. 4:43this." And that tiny change in your
  147. 4:44language created enough psychological
  148. 4:46distance to actually regulate your
  149. 4:47emotions better without suppressing it.
  150. 4:50And it goes deeper than just performance
  151. 4:51itself. There were these water crystal
  152. 4:53experiments done by Dr. Masaru Emoto
  153. 4:55that showed that when this water is
  154. 4:57exposed to positive spoken words, it
  155. 5:00actually forms symmetrical, beautiful
  156. 5:02crystals. While water exposed to
  157. 5:04negative words form chaotic, broken
  158. 5:06structures. Now, his methodology has
  159. 5:08been criticized scientifically, and I
  160. 5:11want to be transparent. This is not
  161. 5:12quite peer-reviewed in the traditional
  162. 5:14sense. But consider this, your body is
  163. 5:17roughly 60% water. And whether you're
  164. 5:18taking his findings literally or
  165. 5:21metaphorically, that principle still
  166. 5:22works with what we do know from
  167. 5:24neuroscience. The words you speak create
  168. 5:27measurable psychological and
  169. 5:28physiological changes in your body, and
  170. 5:30your cortisol levels shift, your heart
  171. 5:33rate changes, and your vagal tone
  172. 5:35responds to the emotional content of
  173. 5:37your own voice. You're not just
  174. 5:39describing your reality as you're
  175. 5:41speaking it, you're also prescribing it
  176. 5:43and experiencing it in real time. I had
  177. 5:46a coworker a while back named Javi who
  178. 5:49would beat himself down in third person
  179. 5:51and it would break my heart every time
  180. 5:52he said that. He would say things like,
  181. 5:54"Javi, you're so stupid. Javi, go on
  182. 5:56you." And I had to be like, "No, Javi,
  183. 5:59stop it." Because I cannot bear to hear
  184. 6:01him talk like that. And some of you guys
  185. 6:03do talk like this to yourself all the
  186. 6:05time and it breaks my heart, too. When
  187. 6:06you speaking negatively about yourself,
  188. 6:08you're not just bringing yourself down,
  189. 6:10you're also bringing other people down,
  190. 6:12people who care about you. So, if words
  191. 6:14are this powerful, then why do most
  192. 6:16people go through life narrating their
  193. 6:18struggles out loud saying things like,
  194. 6:20"I'm so exhausted. This always happens
  195. 6:21to me." or "I'm terrible at this." But
  196. 6:23they never say their desires out loud
  197. 6:26because speaking your dream life out
  198. 6:28feels dangerous and I get it. I used to
  199. 6:31be the same way. Like I would write my
  200. 6:33goals in journal all day long. I can
  201. 6:35make a Pinterest board and whatever,
  202. 6:37visualize things in my head. But in the
  203. 6:38moment I actually have to say it out
  204. 6:40like, "I'm going to build a brand that
  205. 6:42transforms people's lives. I'm going to
  206. 6:44have financial freedom and I'm going to
  207. 6:45travel the world and do work that I
  208. 6:47love." My throat would literally feel
  209. 6:50like it's starting to tighten up because
  210. 6:52saying it out loud means other people
  211. 6:54might actually hear it. And if they hear
  212. 6:56it and you don't achieve it, maybe that
  213. 6:59means you failed publicly. There's
  214. 7:01something in our nervous system that
  215. 7:03treats speaking a desire the same way
  216. 7:05that it treats exposing a vulnerability
  217. 7:08about ourselves. It feels very risky.
  218. 7:10So, instead we might stay quiet and
  219. 7:13remain small. But whether or not we do
  220. 7:15it, we're already speaking our lives
  221. 7:17into existence anyways. We're just doing
  222. 7:20it unconsciously. Every single time you
  223. 7:22say things like, "I'm not good enough."
  224. 7:23or "That's just how I am." These are
  225. 7:25declarations. You're casting spells on
  226. 7:27yourself all day long. The only question
  227. 7:29is whether you're going to do it on
  228. 7:31purpose or by accident. And I was so
  229. 7:34afraid of making mistakes, of saying the
  230. 7:36wrong things, of putting myself out
  231. 7:38there and looking stupid. This fear
  232. 7:40didn't just show up in my goals. It
  233. 7:42actually showed up everywhere in my
  234. 7:44life. It was permeating throughout
  235. 7:46everything. The same fear that kept me
  236. 7:48from even trying to learn a new language
  237. 7:50for years. I knew I wanted to learn and
  238. 7:53I was very interested, but the thought
  239. 7:55of opening my mouth and getting it wrong
  240. 7:57was enough to stop me from ever
  241. 7:59starting. And that's actually why my
  242. 8:00partnership with Jumpspeak feels
  243. 8:02personal to me because I'm done letting
  244. 8:04the fear of making mistakes stop me from
  245. 8:06learning new languages. Jumpspeak is a
  246. 8:08language app, but it's not like the ones
  247. 8:10that we've probably tried before where
  248. 8:12you're memorizing flashcards and like
  249. 8:13matching up words to pictures. Many of
  250. 8:15us know at this point that it doesn't
  251. 8:17actually help us speak the language.
  252. 8:19Jumpspeak gets you speaking from day
  253. 8:21one. Real conversations with an AI tutor
  254. 8:23that corrects you in real time. So
  255. 8:25you're actually speaking out loud and
  256. 8:27then it gives you instant feedback on
  257. 8:29the pronunciation, the grammar. The
  258. 8:31whole point of today's video is that
  259. 8:32declaring things is how we can start
  260. 8:34solidifying change for ourselves,
  261. 8:36especially with new languages. You don't
  262. 8:39learn to speak
  263. 8:40You have to practice in real life
  264. 8:42conversations, which involves being
  265. 8:44willing to sound imperfect at times.
  266. 8:46Jumpspeak is designed exactly for that.
  267. 8:48It's like having a native speaker
  268. 8:50available on demand who will role-play
  269. 8:52real conversations with you like
  270. 8:54ordering food or asking for directions
  271. 8:56and then it tells you how well you did.
  272. 8:58I'm learning Spanish because right now I
  273. 8:59live in Miami and it's almost the first
  274. 9:01language here and learning Spanish can
  275. 9:03actually unlock a whole new world for
  276. 9:05me. Vamos a tomar algo.
  277. 9:07>> Me parece bien.
  278. 9:08>> Esta noche verdad.
  279. 9:11>> Sí, estoy ocupado durante el día.
  280. 9:13>> Perfecto. And what I love is that the
  281. 9:15lessons are like 3 minutes. I do it
  282. 9:16during my morning routine before I start
  283. 9:18my day and over a million people are
  284. 9:20already using it and 78% of members feel
  285. 9:23more confident within 3 weeks, which
  286. 9:25tracks because once you actually start
  287. 9:26speaking out loud consistently, your
  288. 9:28confidence just builds. The first 200
  289. 9:31people that click my link or scan the
  290. 9:32code get 50% off and every new member
  291. 9:35gets a 100-day money-back guarantee. So
  292. 9:37it's completely risk-free for you to try
  293. 9:39for 100 days. So, try it out for
  294. 9:40yourself. Now, let's get practical. How
  295. 9:42do we speak our dreams into real life,
  296. 9:45exactly? I built a framework for this
  297. 9:47because I needed myself as well, and I
  298. 9:49need to remind myself. And I call this
  299. 9:51the speak method, and it's five changes
  300. 9:54that take your words from self-sabotage
  301. 9:56to self-creation. S, state what you
  302. 9:59want, never what you fear. Most people's
  303. 10:02inner monologue is organized around
  304. 10:04avoidance. I don't want to be broke. I
  305. 10:06don't want to be alone. I hope I don't
  306. 10:08mess this up. But the truth is, your
  307. 10:10subconscious mind does not process
  308. 10:12negation very well. So, when you're
  309. 10:14saying things like, "I don't want to be
  310. 10:16broke," your brain lights up the concept
  311. 10:18of broke and starts orienting around it.
  312. 10:21So, it becomes like an obsession around
  313. 10:24the word broke. And the more focused you
  314. 10:25are on something, the more you're
  315. 10:26creating more of it. Neurolinguistic
  316. 10:28research shows that suppression
  317. 10:29commands, like, "I don't think of a
  318. 10:31white bear," actually increases the
  319. 10:33frequency of that repressed thought.
  320. 10:35Your brain has to hold the concept
  321. 10:37active in order to monitor whether
  322. 10:39you're successfully avoiding it or not.
  323. 10:41So, instead of saying things like, "I
  324. 10:43don't want to be broke," you can say,
  325. 10:45"I'm building wealth." Instead of
  326. 10:46saying, "I don't want to be alone," say,
  327. 10:49"I'm attracting deeper and healthier
  328. 10:51love." And instead of saying, "I hope I
  329. 10:52don't mess this up," you say, "I'm
  330. 10:54prepared for this." Do you feel the
  331. 10:56difference? It's the same thing and the
  332. 10:58same desire, same wants, but completely
  333. 11:01different ways of speaking it into
  334. 11:03existence. P, present tense only. Your
  335. 11:05brain responds to language literally. If
  336. 11:08you're saying things like, "I will be
  337. 11:09confident," you're telling your brain
  338. 11:10that confidence is somewhere in the
  339. 11:12future. It's always coming. It's never
  340. 11:15here right now. Just like how the diet
  341. 11:17always starts tomorrow, but now we're no
  342. 11:19longer doing that. It already started.
  343. 11:21We're already doing it. We're done,
  344. 11:23basically. We're already done. "I am
  345. 11:25confident" tells your brain this is
  346. 11:27happening right now. Your reticular
  347. 11:30activating system, which is the filter
  348. 11:31in your brain that decides what you pay
  349. 11:33attention to, starts scanning for even
  350. 11:34more evidence to confirm whatever you're
  351. 11:37declaring in the present tense. So, say
  352. 11:39I am creative, and your brain starts
  353. 11:41noticing all the ways that you're
  354. 11:42already being creative. And when you're
  355. 11:44saying things like, "I will be creative
  356. 11:46someday," your brain files it away as,
  357. 11:49"You know what? This is not important
  358. 11:50right now. I'll deal with that later."
  359. 11:52So, someday you're going to be creative,
  360. 11:54but not today. The present tense is the
  361. 11:56spell, but the future tense is the wish
  362. 11:59unfulfilled. If you want something to
  363. 12:01come true right now, you better speak it
  364. 12:02in present tense. E, embody it when you
  365. 12:05say it. Most people, they will say
  366. 12:07words, but their body doesn't believe
  367. 12:09them. You're saying things like, "I am
  368. 12:10confident," while your whole body is
  369. 12:12hunched over, and your energy is just
  370. 12:14not feeling it. So, your body is sending
  371. 12:16a completely different signal through
  372. 12:17your words. And guess what wins that
  373. 12:19argument every time? It's your body. Amy
  374. 12:21Cuddy's original research at Harvard
  375. 12:23found that power posing, standing tall
  376. 12:25and taking up space with your chest open
  377. 12:28for just 2 minutes, made people feel
  378. 12:29significantly
  379. 12:30more powerful and confident. Now, I want
  380. 12:32to be transparent once again, because
  381. 12:34the actual hormonal specific claims in
  382. 12:36the original 2010 study has been
  383. 12:38challenged in replications. But, what
  384. 12:40still held up consistently across
  385. 12:42meta-analyses is the psychological
  386. 12:44effect. Your posture changes how
  387. 12:46powerful you're feeling, which changes
  388. 12:48what feels possible to you. Your body
  389. 12:51sends signals to your brain about what
  390. 12:53state you're in. So, when you speak your
  391. 12:55declarations out loud, you better stand
  392. 12:57up and put your shoulders back, speak
  393. 12:59from your chest, and your diaphragm, and
  394. 13:01not from your throat. If you can't
  395. 13:02remember all of these things, then
  396. 13:03basically use your stomach to talk.
  397. 13:06That's what I do. I will speak like
  398. 13:07this, and I sound like a tiny mouse when
  399. 13:09I do it. So, use your body in your
  400. 13:12speech, and let your body match the
  401. 13:14vibrations of the words. Some of you
  402. 13:15guys actually clown on me saying that
  403. 13:17like, "Oh my gosh, you speak like an
  404. 13:18Italian." But guess what? I speak with
  405. 13:20my entire physical body, and my mind,
  406. 13:23and my spirit. I speak with everything I
  407. 13:25got. So, maybe that's why you guys
  408. 13:27listen to me. A, attach emotion. A
  409. 13:29declaration without emotion is just a
  410. 13:32sentence. Your amygdala, which is the
  411. 13:34emotional processing center of your
  412. 13:35brain, it tags experiences and
  413. 13:37information with emotional weight. The
  414. 13:39stronger the emotion that's attached to
  415. 13:41a memory or a statement, the deeper it
  416. 13:44feels and then the more powerful it
  417. 13:46gets. This is why you remember where you
  418. 13:47were during a life-changing moment, but
  419. 13:49you can't even remember what you ate for
  420. 13:51lunch 2 days ago. Our emotions make
  421. 13:53everything else feel much more real and
  422. 13:56memorable. So, that when you speak your
  423. 13:57new reality, make sure to feel it. Don't
  424. 14:00just say, "I am abundant." Like, close
  425. 14:03your eyes and feel what it would feel
  426. 14:04like to check your bank account and to
  427. 14:07see more than enough and feel that
  428. 14:08relief in your body.
  429. 14:10Ah, feel the exhale and the spaciousness
  430. 14:13and just like release, you know, and
  431. 14:14then say it from that place. "I am
  432. 14:17abundance." [music]
  433. 14:18Like, you can go on vacation tomorrow
  434. 14:19and for the next 3 months. That emotion
  435. 14:22makes that declaration feel even more
  436. 14:24real to you and so much more powerful.
  437. 14:26K, keep it sacred. Not every declaration
  438. 14:30needs an audience. In fact, some of the
  439. 14:32most powerful spoken word you will ever
  440. 14:34do is when you do it alone on your own,
  441. 14:36in front of the mirror, on your own, on
  442. 14:38a walk, in your car. And there's a
  443. 14:40reason why so many spiritual and
  444. 14:42religious traditions emphasize spoken
  445. 14:45prayer, mantra, incantation, chanting
  446. 14:48done privately and repeatedly between
  447. 14:51you and between God or the universe.
  448. 14:53Repetition in a safe, contained space
  449. 14:56builds neural pathways without the
  450. 14:58interference of other people's doubt or
  451. 15:01their judgments. I'm not saying don't
  452. 15:02share your goals at all. I'm saying be
  453. 15:04intentional about who you share them
  454. 15:06with. Maybe don't even share it so
  455. 15:08early. Some dreams need to be spoken
  456. 15:10into existence privately before you're
  457. 15:13strong enough to survive public scrutiny
  458. 15:15and exposure. So, protect the frequency
  459. 15:18of your words like it matters because it
  460. 15:20does. Not everyone deserves to hear
  461. 15:22about your becoming. So, let me draw a
  462. 15:23line here because sometimes people
  463. 15:25conflate declarations versus
  464. 15:26affirmations and they're actually not
  465. 15:28the same thing. An affirmation is a
  466. 15:30statement that you want to come true.
  467. 15:32I'm rich. I'm beautiful. I'm love. And
  468. 15:35I'm not against affirmations at all. I
  469. 15:37love them and I've talked about them a
  470. 15:38lot on this channel. They are so
  471. 15:40powerful to me. But, research from the
  472. 15:41University of Waterloo found that for
  473. 15:43people with low self-esteem, repeating
  474. 15:45positive affirmations actually made them
  475. 15:47feel worse. Because if the gap between
  476. 15:49what you're saying and what you believe
  477. 15:51is too wide, then your brain registers
  478. 15:54it as a lie. And trying to lie to
  479. 15:56yourself creates cognitive dissonance,
  480. 15:58which creates more stress, not less. A
  481. 16:00declaration, however, is different. A
  482. 16:03declaration is actually a decision
  483. 16:05that's spoken out loud, and decisions
  484. 16:08are portals to a new state of mind. The
  485. 16:11declaration is the driver that takes you
  486. 16:14there. It's not just I hope this comes
  487. 16:16true for me someday, it's I have
  488. 16:17decided. That's who I'm becoming. So,
  489. 16:19the energy is very different. A
  490. 16:22declaration really announces your
  491. 16:24intention. So, think about it like this.
  492. 16:26When the country declares independence,
  493. 16:28it doesn't ask another country for
  494. 16:30permission. It says, "We are free now,
  495. 16:32starting now." And then it acts
  496. 16:34accordingly. So, here's how you bridge
  497. 16:36this gap. If affirmations feels like a
  498. 16:37lot to you, instead of saying, "I am
  499. 16:39rich," which your mind might reject,
  500. 16:40try, "I am becoming someone who builds
  501. 16:43wealth." Instead of saying, "I am
  502. 16:44confident," try, "I'm learning to trust
  503. 16:46myself more every day." So, these
  504. 16:48bridging declarations honor where you
  505. 16:51are while pointing towards where you're
  506. 16:53going. Your brain can accept them
  507. 16:55because they're actually true right now.
  508. 16:57You did decide that, that you're
  509. 16:58becoming, that you are learning. So,
  510. 17:00once your brain accepts that statement,
  511. 17:02it starts to build these neural pathways
  512. 17:04to support that. Now, are you guys ready
  513. 17:06to get even deeper? Because this is
  514. 17:08going to make everything make sense.
  515. 17:09Your words don't just reflect your
  516. 17:10identity, they actually construct it.
  517. 17:12So, every time you say, "I'm not a
  518. 17:14morning person," you are building the
  519. 17:16foundation for someone who can't wake up
  520. 17:17early. And every time you say, "I am bad
  521. 17:19with money," you are reinforcing a
  522. 17:21financial identity that will sabotage
  523. 17:23every budget and every savings plan and
  524. 17:25every investment opportunity that you
  525. 17:27come across. Because your behavior
  526. 17:29always snaps back to match your spoken I
  527. 17:32am identity. This is why people can
  528. 17:34learn about all the right strategies and
  529. 17:36read a ton of self-help books and still
  530. 17:38never change. Because that person that
  531. 17:40they are speaking themselves into is
  532. 17:42still the same person who created that
  533. 17:44problem in the first place. You're
  534. 17:46trying to build a new life with your old
  535. 17:48self and you're not willing to let go of
  536. 17:50that old self. Your words are the
  537. 17:51building blocks of that identity. So,
  538. 17:53one thing I noticed across every sport
  539. 17:56is how the greatest athletes talk about
  540. 17:58themselves. None of them are going to
  541. 18:00sit around and lament about how afraid
  542. 18:02they are of losing. They talk about
  543. 18:04mastering their craft. They talk about
  544. 18:06who they are becoming and how their
  545. 18:07younger self is so proud of them. Now,
  546. 18:09Michael Jordan wouldn't say things like,
  547. 18:11"I hope I don't miss." He actually said,
  548. 18:13"I have failed over and over again my
  549. 18:15life and that I succeed." He talked
  550. 18:17about his failure as his fuel and not
  551. 18:19who he is. The athletes who win
  552. 18:21consistently don't eliminate the fear of
  553. 18:24losing, but they focus their language on
  554. 18:26what they can control while getting
  555. 18:28better at what they do. This actually
  556. 18:30lowers the internal pressure because the
  557. 18:32mental spotlight isn't on whether they
  558. 18:34win or lose. Their spoken focus is on
  559. 18:37their mastery of their craft and not the
  560. 18:39outcome. You won't be focusing on your
  561. 18:41defeat when your words are constantly
  562. 18:43about improvement, no matter what. So,
  563. 18:46ask yourself right now and be so honest
  564. 18:49with yourself, what are the I am
  565. 18:51statements that you are most often
  566. 18:52repeating in your head? Those are your
  567. 18:54real declarations. And especially when
  568. 18:56you're speaking it out loud or typing it
  569. 18:58out loud or whatever, these are the
  570. 18:59spells that you're casting on yourself
  571. 19:01every single day. And maybe some of you
  572. 19:03guys may think that manifestation
  573. 19:04doesn't work, but that's because you
  574. 19:05don't really understand how it works. We
  575. 19:07are all doing it, no matter what we
  576. 19:09believe. So, try this. I want you to
  577. 19:11start speaking your future before
  578. 19:13there's even any evidence for it. For
  579. 19:14example, you can try saying, "I am a
  580. 19:17successful creator." before you even
  581. 19:18have a thousand followers. And I want
  582. 19:20you to try and say, "I am building
  583. 19:22something that matters." before you even
  584. 19:23have anything to show for it. The thing
  585. 19:25about creating transformation is the
  586. 19:27evidence always comes after the decision
  587. 19:30to start changing our identity, never
  588. 19:33before. You never get the proof first
  589. 19:36and then start believing. You always
  590. 19:38start believing first before the
  591. 19:40evidence can even catch up and
  592. 19:41eventually it does. I remember when I
  593. 19:43first started this channel, my first
  594. 19:45video had 20 views in 1 week and I said
  595. 19:47to myself, "I am helping other people
  596. 19:49transform their lives. If I can even
  597. 19:51help one person, I have done my job."
  598. 19:54And I felt kind of ridiculous saying
  599. 19:55that to myself. Like there wasn't even a
  600. 19:57comment or anything that I got. I got
  601. 19:59like two likes. One of them was me. That
  602. 20:02same video, I think, is now sitting at
  603. 20:04over a hundred thousand views. But back
  604. 20:06then, I didn't know that and I kept
  605. 20:08saying because I decided that was who I
  606. 20:11was becoming and those words started
  607. 20:13building these neural pathways in my
  608. 20:14brain that made me show up consistently
  609. 20:17enough for it to actually become true. I
  610. 20:19actually still leave my first video up
  611. 20:21on my channel to prove to myself and to
  612. 20:23you guys how far I have become and my
  613. 20:25intentions have always remained the
  614. 20:26same. And I have decided that ever since
  615. 20:28I started this channel, ever since I
  616. 20:30uploaded that first video, I was like,
  617. 20:31"I'm never taking it down." So that
  618. 20:33first brick that you lay on that
  619. 20:34foundation of change is the words that
  620. 20:37you choose to say over your life. I
  621. 20:39promise you if you keep practicing your
  622. 20:41declarations and start speaking more
  623. 20:42positivity to yourself, that version of
  624. 20:44yourself that exists 30 days from now
  625. 20:46will not be the same person standing in
  626. 20:48front of that mirror today because you
  627. 20:50will have spoken them into existence.
  628. 20:52Remember I made a digital guide for you
  629. 20:53that contains all the things that we
  630. 20:55have spoken about in this video plus
  631. 20:56additional exercises. So go and download
  632. 20:59that guide if you haven't already. Now
  633. 21:00comment below what your first
  634. 21:02declaration is. I want to read them and
  635. 21:04I want to witness you choosing yourself
  636. 21:05out loud. This is a safe space. You are
  637. 21:08anonymous. And if you want to go even
  638. 21:09deeper on identity transformation and
  639. 21:11the inner work that makes everything
  640. 21:13stick for good, my membership Stoic
  641. 21:15Angels 2.0 is opening up soon. The
  642. 21:18waitlist is in the description and
  643. 21:20that's where we do this practice
  644. 21:21together consistently with a community
  645. 21:23that also gets exactly what we're going
  646. 21:25through because we're all doing it
  647. 21:27together. As always, if nobody has told
  648. 21:29you this and if you don't believe in
  649. 21:30yourself, I believe in you, angel, and I
  650. 21:33will see you in the next video.
