- 0:58Essa evidence following a third-party
- 1:00research study conducted by Johns

- 1:17we look forward to having all exact path
- 1:19teachers utilize this new enhancement
- 1:23each assessment type has a critical role
- 1:25to play and standards Mastery falls into
- 1:27formative assessments where teachers and
- 1:30students May gather evidence of learning
- 1:31and use immediate feedback to adjust
- 1:33teaching and improve learning
- 1:36it allows teachers to break down the
- 1:38skills standards and Concepts that
- 1:41students do not get right away and
- 1:42offers a quick reassessment of those
- 1:44skills as part of a regular progress
- 1:46monitoring
- 1:48with standards Mastery formative
- 1:50assessments are created for you they are
- 1:53quick auto-generated exercises that may
- 1:56consist of 10 20 or 30 questions
- 1:58depending on the number of Standards
- 2:00you'd like to assess
- 2:02you can see a few ways to utilize these
- 2:04assessments and we know teachers are
- 2:06creative and will find many other
- 2:08applicable uses
- 2:10there are many ways that standards
- 2:12Mastery can be helpful but we want to
- 2:14share with you one compelling
- 2:15research-backed model for use the pairs
- 2:18standards Mastery assessment with
- 2:20exactpath you can see the model pictured
- 2:23on the slide
- 2:24we start with your whole class
- 2:26instruction which you already have a
- 2:28plan to instruct on all grade level
- 2:30standards during the course of the
- 2:31school year so stick with that
- 2:34once you have completed your planned
- 2:36instruction on a standard give the
- 2:38corresponding standards Mastery
- 2:40formative assessment this will give you
- 2:42an at a glance data on how well your
- 2:44students have understood the instruction
- 2:47then after reviewing clearly laid out
- 2:49data teachers May group students as well
- 2:52as work one-on-one with them based on
- 2:54need
- 2:55combining exact path and standards
- 2:57Mastery digital materials give teachers
- 3:00access to instruction practice and
- 3:03standards aligned formative assessments
- 3:04there are also materials you can print
- 3:07out such as worksheets or lesson ideas
- 3:10all of this is provided for you so
- 3:12teachers can do what they do best
- 3:14monitor progress engage with small
- 3:16groups and offer one-on-one support
- 3:20we would now like to take a look at
- 3:22standards Mastery through a demo account
- 3:24so standards Mastery is located in exact
- 3:27path which is really great because
- 3:29you're very familiar already with this
- 3:31platform
- 3:32so in exact paths under an tab called
- 3:36assess and teach we will see standards
- 3:39mastery
- 3:40standards Mastery is available in your
- 3:43specific State Standards so or no matter
- 3:45where you live you will have the
- 3:47appropriate aligned state standards for
- 3:50Math and English language arts in grades
- 3:53three through eight
- 3:55remember these are formative assessments
- 3:5710 questions each so 10 questions within
- 4:02each of these skills
- 4:04they are aligned to the standards that
- 4:07you will be able to see here
- 4:09and this is just a little bit more
- 4:11definition of What that particular
- 4:13standard is in case you'd like to review
- 4:16and just understand maybe exactly what's
- 4:19being covered in this skill
- 4:21your standards will be listed here with
- 4:24a deeper definition
- 4:26so these are 10 questions each a teacher
- 4:30May assign one two
- 4:33two or three
- 4:34three would be the max 30 questions Max
- 4:37to assign to a student
- 4:40so again you can select one two or three
- 4:43if I select one and I create a new
- 4:46assignment it's going to give me the
- 4:49title of that particular skill you can
- 4:53keep this you can change it anything
- 4:55that helps you in your record keeping
- 4:57you would give it an end date select
- 5:00your class possibly enforce the date so
- 5:03you know exactly when you're going to
- 5:04have it returned to you and if I'm
- 5:06working on this for my entire class I
- 5:08can easily select all and then a sign
- 5:12now when I assign one or two or three to
- 5:17my students the great thing is it's
- 5:20going to go into the student's exact
- 5:22path portal as well so whether they're
- 5:25working on a standards Mastery a
- 5:28priority skill or their learning path
- 5:30it's going to be easily accessible for
- 5:33them also in one place their exact path
- 5:38so again you can select one two or three
- 5:42create new assignments you can give it a
- 5:45title the end date
- 5:47I'm going to enforce my dates and for
- 5:50this one I just need to have one student
- 5:52and then I would click assign
- 5:55now if I wanted to print I can easily
- 5:58click on this and it will only print one
- 6:02skill at a time so only 10 questions at
- 6:05a time but if I wanted to hit click
- 6:06print it's going to generate
- 6:09populate for me and then I can take a
- 6:13look and print it off with the answer
- 6:15key at the end
- 6:18now what I do want to point out is if we
- 6:21are assigning these digitally so that
- 6:23they go into the exact path account not
- 6:26only is every assignment a fresh set of
- 6:30questions
- 6:31but each student gets a different mix of
- 6:33questions from the bank so if I assigned
- 6:37asking and answering questions to these
- 6:40three students and it's going to
- 6:41populate into their exact path account
- 6:43each one of these students is going to
- 6:46have a randomized assessment you know
- 6:49quiz of 10 questions
- 6:51on their standards Mastery assignment
- 6:55now if I would like to say okay I've
- 6:58been assigning a lot of these where can
- 7:00I see what I assigned so just like exact
- 7:03path in my classes under assignments
- 7:07whenever we would create a priority
- 7:09skill or a specific assignment for
- 7:11reading or language arts or math
- 7:14when you assigned it it populates and it
- 7:17collects under assignments I like to
- 7:20think of this as the grade book
- 7:22because it reminds you not only what did
- 7:25you assign but it will tell you who has
- 7:28submitted it is it did everybody turn it
- 7:30in
- 7:31and as well as then looking at the data
- 7:34so again in assignments I can also
- 7:39assign standards Mastery I can do it
- 7:41from assess and teach I can also do it
- 7:43from assignments
- 7:45now when I want to look at my data I can
- 7:47click on it and say how did my students
- 7:49do
- 7:51I had 10 students
- 7:53taking this particular standards Mastery
- 7:55five are still developing their skills
- 7:58one is approaching and four had a strong
- 8:02mastery
- 8:03so I know that these four students no
- 8:06longer need to work on this particular
- 8:08standard
- 8:09these five up here I might pull a small
- 8:13group and work with them offline a
- 8:15little bit or maybe assign them a
- 8:17priority skill that has the lesson and
- 8:19the practice
- 8:22so this lets me know who has mastered
- 8:24and who has not I can also review each
- 8:27student's standards Mastery assignment
- 8:31and see which questions they got right
- 8:33which questions they got wrong I could
- 8:35sit one-on-one with them and review that
- 8:36from the same page we are able to click
- 8:39on any of our students to take them to a
- 8:42full report of how that student is doing
- 8:45in each standard we can see again the
- 8:49same color coding and which standards
- 8:52they need to continue to work on and or
- 8:55which ones have been mastered along with
- 8:58having a student Report with standards
- 9:01Mastery we are also able to go to their
- 9:03learning path report their Diagnostics
- 9:05and their benchmarks
- 9:08one additional report that I would like
- 9:10to show you again this was from our
- 9:12assignment page and it showed the
- 9:14specific skill and our class but under
- 9:17reports we can go to standards Mastery
- 9:21reports and we can see a class summary I
- 9:24could put in a date range for English or
- 9:26math I could select my grade and my
- 9:30class and then I am able to view my
- 9:32report as a whole to see how many
- 9:35students have mastered and how many
- 9:37students are working
- 9:40in our Edmonton Community we listen to
- 9:42the needs and desires of our teachers
- 9:44using our programs and with a task force
- 9:46focus groups and our internal teams
- 9:49standards Mastery was created
- 9:52teachers can quickly understand which
- 9:54students caught what was taught they can
- 9:57create an implementation model that
- 9:59supports a tighter feedback loop as a
- 10:01response to intervention and access
- 10:04through a single access point of
- 10:06Engagement to adminsum for both teacher
- 10:09assignments and the individualized
- 10:11learning paths we hope you're as excited
- 10:14as we are about our new and available
- 10:15standards Mastery add-on to your exact
- 10:18path please reach out to your
