8. 0:13College volleyball team here's Santos's
9. 0:16response
10. 0:17why did you lie about being on a
11. 0:19volleyball team
12. 0:26you're low wait you actually were on a
13. 0:28volleyball team is that right and
14. 0:29college and Baruch College is that true
15. 0:32is that true
16. 0:34this is Santos ex-boyfriend is speaking
17. 0:37to out front for his first television
18. 0:38interview in an out front exclusive
19. 0:40Pedro villarva shared this photo with us
20. 0:43of him celebrating Christmas with Santos
21. 0:45and other loved ones in 2014. he told me
22. 0:48that Santos went by the name Anthony
23. 0:50devolder when they dated they lived
24. 0:52together for about a year and belarva
25. 0:54says he repeatedly turned down Santos's
26. 0:55proposals to get engaged
27. 0:59Pedro joins me now from Brazil and Pedro
28. 1:02I very much appreciate your time and I
29. 1:04know that you're deciding to speak out
30. 1:06was a very careful decision
31. 1:08does this George Santos the one that we
32. 1:12are now all seeing sound like the man
33. 1:15that you dated and lived with
34. 1:17no not at all
35. 1:20completely different person

37. 1:26it's just oh at the beginning of the
38. 1:28relationship it was fine uh he was so
39. 1:32sweet caring
40. 1:34um
41. 1:35he actually like he showed like yeah
42. 1:37that he actually cared and all but later
43. 1:40on like when I started finding out the
44. 1:42lies I thought that was it uh that it
45. 1:45was my phone that went State uh that he
46. 1:48stole uh that he pawned it that I
47. 1:50believe
48. 1:51uh the jewelry as well from uh from our
49. 1:55friend that used to live with us uh and
50. 1:57so it's so like the tickets to Hawaii
51. 1:59that he had the uh purchase for us to go
52. 2:02where he was planning to be uh proposing
53. 2:05for the third time as well
54. 2:07um but the engagement never happened
55. 2:09nothing like that you know I know you
56. 2:11say Santos

58. 2:13repeatedly asked you to get engaged
59. 2:16before you broke up and he appears Pedro
60. 2:18to reference you and an Instagram post
61. 2:20that you shared with us from 2015 he
62. 2:23writes this is my family that I managed
63. 2:26to screw up I will not give up I will
64. 2:29fight till the end I love you PV
65. 2:31I miss you now Pedro you were 18 and
66. 2:35Santos was 26 when you met him when did
67. 2:38you know
68. 2:39that you couldn't trust him
69. 2:42towards the end of the relationship it
70. 2:44was more he started like I started
71. 2:46finding out about the lies in December
72. 2:48and then it went on until February
73. 2:52and then that's when I broke up with
74. 2:55them and then I went on my way
75. 2:58but then later on like we still had
76. 3:00contact with each other because he
77. 3:02didn't like I found out about the lies
78. 3:03but we still kept him uh in contact with
79. 3:06each other just saying like oh how are
80. 3:08you how's your mom and stuff because
81. 3:10when I found out that she was sick I
82. 3:12still cared for her and then I went to
83. 3:14visit her a couple of times later on
84. 3:16but then uh when I found out about the
85. 3:19other stuff I was like what a psycho
86. 3:22you know I want to share a picture of
87. 3:24you that you shared with us of you and
88. 3:26his mother you say you were close and
89. 3:29um besides you know he said she it was a
90. 3:31survivor of the 911 Terror attacks right
91. 3:33she was he also claimed she was an
92. 3:35executive at Citigroup she was a part of
93. 3:38many of his lies there there you are
94. 3:39with her this is a picture you shared
95. 3:40with us
96. 3:42did did she ever discuss these these
97. 3:44lies with you did she know any of this
98. 3:47oh I never no 911 no CD group nothing
99. 3:53like that from when I was with them I
100. 3:56never saw her going to work at Citigroup
101. 3:58or anything and they never mentioned
102. 4:01anything about 9 11 even because I was
103. 4:03born on 9 11 and
104. 4:06um if I say like if if they knew that I
105. 4:08was born on 9 11 I think they were gonna
106. 4:10reference that and say something about
107. 4:12it but never heard anything about it
108. 4:16I want to play George Santos what we've
109. 4:18all now heard Pedro explaining who he is
110. 4:21in his own words over the years
111. 4:24my grandparents survived the Holocaust I
112. 4:27didn't Latino Jew my mom was a 911
113. 4:30Survivor does that mean to a good prep
114. 4:32school so and which was Horace Mann uh
115. 4:34prep in the Bronx I actually went to
116. 4:37school on uh on a volleyball scholarship
117. 4:39when I was in Baruch we were the number
118. 4:41one volleyball but I put myself through
119. 4:44college and got an MBA from NYU I also
120. 4:46founded my own non-profit organization
121. 4:49prior to running I decided to close it
122. 4:52it was an animal rescue we had a great
123. 4:54organization we were able to save
124. 4:56animals dogs cats horses if lived an
125. 4:59honest life I've never been uh accused
126. 5:02shoot of any bad doing
127. 5:06I do want to note of course he was
128. 5:08charged with embezzlement so he has
129. 5:10obviously been accused of bad doing but
130. 5:12you know Pedro the point is some of
131. 5:14these lies were so minor and yet so
132. 5:16specific I mean the volleyball one right
133. 5:18not just saying that he played
134. 5:19volleyball but he had a scholarship that
135. 5:21he slayed teams from Harvard and Yale
136. 5:23that he was the smallest player on the
137. 5:24team that he needed to get two knee
138. 5:26Replacements I mean you know he went
139. 5:28deep with the lies
140. 5:30why does he do this
141. 5:32I don't know I think he's just out of
142. 5:35his mind and One Lie led to uh to the
143. 5:38other and now that's everybody found out
144. 5:40like they're finding out like the the
145. 5:43little stuff as well I just think that
146. 5:46he should not be in Congress
147. 5:49and uh whatever oh my God it was so many
148. 5:52things that I found out afterwards as
149. 5:54well things that I did not know because
150. 5:56I still believe that he actually went to
151. 5:58a Baruch College like like he used to
152. 6:00say I already knew about the the CD
153. 6:03group that he said that he used to work
154. 6:04and like the the Investments and such so
155. 6:07I already knew that those were lies
156. 6:09because I never saw him working uh
157. 6:12actually uh but then uh the other stuff
158. 6:16like the stuff about the Pats the he
159. 6:20actually did used to say about the
160. 6:22organization about fupu as well that he
161. 6:25used to do like uh
162. 6:27um he the there was another person that
163. 6:30I also had a pet organization so they
164. 6:33used to have like a little picky fight
165. 6:35with each other as also
166. 6:38um but then I never saw anything going
167. 6:40uh uh towards it like uh
168. 6:44um charity stuff when we were together
169. 6:47he never used to do anything so first
170. 6:49that's why it was so it's a better you
171. 6:52know what do you say are you surprised
172. 6:53he's now a member of Congress I mean
173. 6:55that that was that was that an ambition
174. 6:58that he had
175. 7:00you always uh why he always uh looked
176. 7:03for was Fame and power that's all the
177. 7:07all he cared about and he got it he got
178. 7:10the fame of the lies and he got the
179. 7:13power that he's in Congress now but it's
180. 7:15uh he shouldn't be there well the story
181. 7:18has gotten so big right everyone
182. 7:19everyone is paying attention to it you
183. 7:22know he's being spoofed by late night
184. 7:23shows and other comedians
