EVERYTHING you NEED to know on HOW to GLOW UP — Transcript

- 0:00If I had to start my glow up, all over
- 0:01again, this is exactly what I would
- 0:03focus on. The biggest glow up of my life
- 0:05took me about 5 years, probably even
- 0:07longer if we counted the years that I
- 0:08have tried. And it took so long because
- 0:11I took the scenic route, okay? I could
- 0:13have gotten there so much faster if only
- 0:14I knew, but now you will. 90 days, three
- 0:16phases, starting with stuff that's
- 0:18basically guaranteed to work, and then
- 0:19we move upwards to the next levels. I
- 0:21know glowing up can feel like a
- 0:22full-time job, but don't worry, I got
- 0:24you. The it girls and the it boys
- 0:25watching this right now, you're all
- 0:27about to have the biggest glow up and
- 0:28come up of your lives. If you're new
- 0:30here, my name is May. I basically live
- 0:31to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of
- 0:33our world and of our people. Our
- 0:35community is full of beautiful people.
- 0:37We're called Stoic Angels. My angels and
- 0:39I are into leveling up the body, the
- 0:40mind, and the spirit. If you want a
- 0:42really honest conversation and have
- 0:44actual actionable steps, subscribe
- 0:46because I haven't found anyone else as
- 0:48honest as I am with you, to the point
- 0:50where it is almost to my detriment, but
- 0:52I care more about my values and my
- 0:54people than looking perfect because
- 0:55nobody's perfect, so who cares? The full
- 0:5790-day blueprint that I made for you is
- 0:59free that you can also download in the
- 1:02description with the checklist, the
- 1:03trackers for every phase so you don't
- 1:05have to screenshot the whole video.
- 1:07Better yet, you can follow along the
- 1:08guide as we go, so go and download it.
- 1:10Let's talk about the glow up pyramid.
- 1:11So, picture a pyramid triangle. The
- 1:13bottom layer is your foundation. Water,
- 1:15SPF, hygiene, food, movement, sleep,
- 1:17stress. The middle is your frame. Hair,
- 1:19brows, your face shape, colors, your
- 1:21wardrobe, posture, and the top is the
- 1:23finish. Makeup, skin care, little
- 1:25grooming details, and the tiny point at
- 1:27the top is hard maxing, injectables, and
- 1:29surgery. Many people glow up the other
- 1:31way round and waste a lot of time and
- 1:33money and basically undo their own
- 1:35efforts over time. In this plan, you get
- 1:3730 days per layer and the tip doesn't
- 1:39get a single day. I'll tell you why at
- 1:41the end. First phase is going to be the
- 1:42foundation, day one through day 30.
- 1:44Number one, hydrate first. Carry a water
- 1:47bottle that you actually like and finish
- 1:49the bottle before lunch, and then do it
- 1:51again. Many people in my community end
- 1:53up with about 2 liters a day. I remember
- 1:56someone once told me she thought the
- 1:58girls running to the bathroom all day
- 1:59were being weird until she realized she
- 2:01was the one being weird because she was
- 2:02barely drinking any water. A lot of what
- 2:04we call dull skin and tired eyes and
- 2:06even the physical aging process is
- 2:08actually just a dehydrated body. Aging
- 2:11is literally your body lacking in
- 2:14moisture. Don't let people tell you it's
- 2:16genetics or whatever. That is the
- 2:18greatest cop out in the world. Those
- 2:21people can enjoy being a victim because
- 2:23my angels and I, we do not. We try our
- 2:25best and we overcome. To me, that is the
- 2:28beauty of life. So, drinking more water
- 2:31is the cheapest glow up on this list and
- 2:33I will sacrifice an extra five to 10
- 2:35bathroom breaks a day to remain healthy
- 2:38and gorgeous. Number two, SPF every
- 2:40single day whether it's cloudy, indoors,
- 2:42by a window, winter, every day. Doesn't
- 2:44matter, chemical or mineral. While some
- 2:47are better than others, something is
- 2:48still better than nothing. And if you
- 2:50wear long sleeves, you don't need
- 2:51sunscreen underneath your clothes unless
- 2:53it's like mesh or something. If you use
- 2:55any type of retinoid, exfoliating acids,
- 2:57any kind of light or laser treatment,
- 2:59sunscreen is completely not optional
- 3:02because all of those products and
- 3:04treatments leave your skin more
- 3:06sensitive to the sun. Sunscreen is going
- 3:08to be what protects everything else
- 3:09you're about to put effort into. In a
- 3:11randomized trial of 903 adults, the
- 3:14people who wore sunscreen every day
- 3:16showed no detectable increase in skin
- 3:18aging after four and a half years. This
- 3:21means these people visibly aged 24% less
- 3:24than people who used it whenever they
- 3:26felt like it. I always say that visible
- 3:29aging is not chronological and it is
- 3:31also not solely due to genetics and this
- 3:33only proves my point. So, if you don't
- 3:35want to look visibly aged as you get
- 3:37older, wear sunscreen. Number three,
- 3:39hygiene but precise. So important to try
- 3:42and stay clean. I dealt with acne
- 3:44forever for years because my old living
- 3:46situation wasn't putting me in the best
- 3:48environment to have clear skin.
- 3:50Unfortunately, everyone thought that it
- 3:51was hormonal issues, but guess what was
- 3:54causing the hormonal disruption? It was
- 3:56due to my lack of hygiene. I was a dirty
- 3:59girl. I didn't wash my face enough or
- 4:01shower enough. People would actually
- 4:03hint to me that I was musty and I was
- 4:05just oblivious. It was just really bad.
- 4:07For example, wipe your face after you
- 4:09brush your teeth because your toothpaste
- 4:11irritates the skin around your mouth and
- 4:13it's a really common reason for those
- 4:15little breakouts around your chin and
- 4:17lips. That happened to me a lot and it
- 4:19is that noticeable. Changing your bed
- 4:21sheets once a week. If anything, if you
- 4:23get this part of your life down where
- 4:25you're regularly changing sheets, do
- 4:27your skin care before bedtime, you wash
- 4:29your face. It will at least make you
- 4:30feel more accomplished. Like at least
- 4:31that part of your life is in order. And
- 4:33I love that idea because hygiene isn't
- 4:35just about staying clean, but we're
- 4:37going to bed and we're waking up already
- 4:38feeling put together. And while we're on
- 4:40grooming, something that improved my
- 4:42strawberry legs over time is hair
- 4:44removal. I'm partnering with Tria on
- 4:46this video. I am super happy with them.
- 4:48If you've been here a while, you know
- 4:50I've seen some ups and downs in my glob
- 4:51journey. I tried professional lasers for
- 4:53years and by the way, there are all
- 4:55kinds of lasers for so many purposes. I
- 4:57have removed tattoos, scars,
- 4:59pigmentation, used it to tighten my skin
- 5:01and so on. The thing is, they worked
- 5:04really, really well for me for years
- 5:06until one day it didn't. The last skin
- 5:08trauma I had was because a technician
- 5:10didn't know how to work with my skin so
- 5:12it backfired and I had to deal with the
- 5:14resulting hyperpigmentation for quite
- 5:16some time. I also hate shaving because
- 5:18razors drive me crazy and I am only
- 5:20starting to heal from years of
- 5:22strawberry legs. So shaving less
- 5:24directly helps heal strawberry legs. I
- 5:27thought to myself, if I can never shave
- 5:28again, I'd be so happy. So when Tria
- 5:30reached out to me about the Tria 4X
- 5:33laser hair removal device, I was like,
- 5:34wait, this is so cool because
- 5:36professional lasers can be super
- 5:38expensive. And like I've said, too
- 5:39powerful of anything, even if it's a
- 5:41good thing, is actually not a good
- 5:43thing. I love at home devices is I feel
- 5:45more in control of my experience, and
- 5:47this costs less than one typical session
- 5:49at the clinic. The wavelength of this
- 5:51device, which is 810 nanometers, is the
- 5:53same range in clinical lasers used for
- 5:55hair removal. They are also promising
- 5:57permanent results in eight treatments. I
- 5:59thought it was too good to be true, like
- 6:00how is this possible? But they've run
- 6:02clinical trials, and these are indeed
- 6:04the results. So, I tried it. I did my
- 6:06second session yesterday because I'm
- 6:07about to go to the Bahamas next week. I
- 6:09want to remain bikini ready. By the way,
- 6:12I still haven't shaved since the first
- 6:14session since I was no need to. Like
- 6:16there's maybe like three armpit hairs,
- 6:17like this small. So small. I'll show you
- 6:19some pictures. Before this, I will say
- 6:21I've already reduced my body hair a lot,
- 6:23so I think that my results are pretty
- 6:25much permanent if I do it a couple more
- 6:27times. By the way, this is the only
- 6:29FDA-cleared laser for permanent hair
- 6:31reduction you can use at home. Most
- 6:33at-home hair removal devices I try are
- 6:35IPL, intense pulsed light. That's a
- 6:37broad spectrum of light, so it's
- 6:38temporary. You have to keep using it. I
- 6:40was also fully expecting it to sting
- 6:42like the professional lasers or the
- 6:44typical at-home IPL. I was actually
- 6:46shocked that it didn't really hurt that
- 6:47much. On my arms and legs, it just feels
- 6:50a little warm. Literally like a warm cup
- 6:52of tea. On the more sensitive areas
- 6:54though, like my armpits, it does feel
- 6:55like a rubber band snapping, and less
- 6:57than 10 seconds, I'm already done, and
- 6:58it's permanent. If you are the right
- 7:00candidate for laser hair removal, the
- 7:02melanin in your hair absorbs the laser.
- 7:04It heats the follicle at the root, which
- 7:06then disables the follicle, so the hair
- 7:07falls out. It has up to 233% more power
- 7:10than leading IPL devices. I also love
- 7:13that I'm the one in control of my own
- 7:14power level. I started lower, and I work
- 7:16my way upwards as I see how my skin
- 7:18responds. First of all, you're going to
- 7:19shave the area to work on, and then
- 7:21unlock the device by placing the base
- 7:22against your skin, then choose the power
- 7:24level, and then hold the tip flat
- 7:25against my skin, wait for the beep, and
- 7:27move over with a tiny bit of overlap.
- 7:29There really is zero downtime. I just go
- 7:31about my day like nothing happened. They
- 7:33even have the soothing gel you can apply
- 7:35after your treatment that helps calm
- 7:36your skin. I apply extra on more
- 7:37sensitive parts of my skin. Also, if you
- 7:39have tattoos like me, they do have a
- 7:41safety feature on your laser. So, if
- 7:43it's not the correct skin tone for laser
- 7:44treatment, the laser doesn't work. Let's
- 7:46say if we start on day one of this plan
- 7:47and do it every 2 weeks, you're going to
- 7:49be about six treatments in by day 90,
- 7:51and that's the kind of slow cumulative
- 7:52result I'm talking about. By the eighth
- 7:54session, up to 100% permanent hair
- 7:57removal. So, you buy this once compared
- 7:59to paying per session at a clinic, which
- 8:01is so expensive because you have to do
- 8:02multiple sessions or buying razors and
- 8:04waxing for the rest of your life. I
- 8:06mean, that alone, holy grail. I also got
- 8:09the other laser on their website. It's a
- 8:10fractional laser for dark spots. It
- 8:12helps with fine lines, too. So, I can't
- 8:14wait to start using it. We're going to
- 8:16see how it goes. I'm going to be your
- 8:17guinea pig. You can use my code May for
- 8:1910% off anything on their website, and
- 8:21my link is in the description. Number
- 8:22four, eat like your face is watching
- 8:24because it is. It's less about being on
- 8:25a diet and more about two things that
- 8:27show up on your face within days, which
- 8:29is the inflammation from sugar and
- 8:31alcohol. When I worked in nightlife, I
- 8:33was so inflamed because of the
- 8:35lifestyle, and when I cut down on sugar
- 8:36and alcohol for one single week, just to
- 8:38try it, I could not believe how much of
- 8:41the puffiness in my face had just been
- 8:42from sugar and alcohol. I'm so serious.
- 8:45That 5:00 a.m. lamb over rice after a
- 8:47night of drinking every weekend is not a
- 8:49good idea. I was talking to some of my
- 8:51coworkers earlier today, like no shade,
- 8:53who still working in nightlife, like I
- 8:54can see the inflammation. Don't get me
- 8:56wrong, I love them, but I hope they
- 8:58choose a healthier lifestyle because I
- 8:59know they'd be drinking. Literally,
- 9:01people I know who cut out alcohol
- 9:02directly ends up looking way less puffy.
- 9:04And then, I think about this graphic all
- 9:06the time where in Spring Breakers,
- 9:07Harmony Korine had the cast members eat
- 9:10burgers and junk food so their bodies
- 9:12are more realistic like normal college
- 9:14kids. Because it's true, when I was in
- 9:15college, I ate straight junk all the
- 9:17time. It's corny because it's true. You
- 9:19really do become what you eat. So, what
- 9:21was I? I was falafel sandwich and
- 9:22burger. And that New York dollar pizza.
- 9:24I don't think it's a dollar anymore.
- 9:25Anyways, yes, weight loss actually did
- 9:28drastically change my looks, so
- 9:29drastically. And I'll add this as well.
- 9:31Every time I lost weight fast, it came
- 9:33back just as fast. What stayed was
- 9:36slower and more simple? Eating when I'm
- 9:38hungry, stopping when I'm full, and the
- 9:40more I stop eating ultra-processed
- 9:41foods, the more I train myself to lose
- 9:43interest in ultra-processed foods. Over
- 9:46time, I didn't even want junk food
- 9:48anymore, and I know simple doesn't mean
- 9:49easy to do. And addictions can be hard.
- 9:52I went through all kinds myself. I
- 9:54literally went to outpatient for food
- 9:56addiction, so I know how hard it is. But
- 9:58everything that's mindset related is
- 10:00trainable. Whatever is trainable does
- 10:02get easier over time, and it ripples
- 10:04outward into every single aspect of your
- 10:06life and into what you think is possible
- 10:08for you and what you believe you can
- 10:10overcome. Number five, meaningful
- 10:12movement. Finding exercises that you
- 10:15really like, because that's the only
- 10:16kind that you will repeat, even if it's
- 10:18walking 11 minutes a day. For example, I
- 10:20have friends who are Pilates freaks, and
- 10:22they never miss a class because it makes
- 10:24them feel like being a kid again. And if
- 10:26gym isn't your thing, walk every day or
- 10:28do bodyweight moves while a podcast is
- 10:30on. I like to swim, hike, occasionally
- 10:32do yoga and Pilates, and I stopped
- 10:34following fitness advice that wasn't
- 10:36made for my body type. As a result, I am
- 10:38ending up in the best shape of my life,
- 10:40and the best is still yet to come.
- 10:42Swimming for me in particular helps me
- 10:44overcome my fear of diving and swimming
- 10:46with sharks, and so on, which I'm
- 10:49actively doing both right now. And that
- 10:51to me is insane. That's what life is all
- 10:53about. Number six is sleep and stress.
- 10:55This is the most underrated hack for
- 10:58everything ever. When I was depressed, I
- 11:00would be in bed until 4:00 p.m. and up
- 11:03all night. You can see it directly on my
- 11:05face. I would look puffier and inflamed.
- 11:08The worst part of all is I couldn't get
- 11:10anything done. I would feel so terrible
- 11:12and so tired. My skin would look bad. My
- 11:15body healed slower. I'm also twice as
- 11:18stressed because I did everything twice
- 11:19as slow, and I really just wasn't
- 11:21working at peak performance. I'm telling
- 11:23you, nothing, absolutely nothing, fixes
- 11:26a nervous system that never gets to
- 11:28rest. Beauty sleep is so crucial to our
- 11:31health and to our glow. So I try to wind
- 11:33down at least a couple hours before
- 11:35bedtime, anything from changing to my
- 11:37PJs, doing my nighttime routine, stop
- 11:39scrolling on my phone, we're giving our
- 11:41brains these little signs and signals
- 11:43that it's time to go to bed soon. Same
- 11:45thing with managing our cortisol levels,
- 11:47it is our responsibility to say no to
- 11:50too much work or learn how to become
- 11:52more efficient with it. And we need to
- 11:54decide when to stop working for the day.
- 11:56It's really up to us. Sometimes I forget
- 11:58and it's like 7-day week, 12-hour days,
- 12:01especially now that I've been working on
- 12:02the Stoic Angels membership and I have
- 12:04to set alarms to remind myself to stop
- 12:06working and go outside for a minute. It
- 12:09really, really helps. We are not meant
- 12:11to work all the time. Anxiety and
- 12:13worrying too much also adds to our
- 12:15stress. This is why we're called Stoic
- 12:17Angels. Fundamentally, we can only
- 12:19control what we can do and we can become
- 12:21so powerful through owning the things
- 12:24that we can't, which includes keeping
- 12:25ourselves as healthy as possible. So,
- 12:28protect your sleep like an essential
- 12:30fixed appointment that you can't move
- 12:32and find something that helps you manage
- 12:34stress like going for a walk, a bath,
- 12:36calling a friend, hugging your pet,
- 12:38finding joy in your life. That is a
- 12:39must. You have to joy max first before
- 12:42you looks max. Just remember that you
- 12:43are a sweet angel who's not only kind to
- 12:45your face and body, but also your mind
- 12:47and your spirit. That's why you're
- 12:49glowing right now because all these
- 12:51things truly makes you so radiant and
- 12:52beauty gives people so much purpose and
- 12:54it radiates outwards into other people,
- 12:56into our environment. How we live, we
- 12:58really can't live beautiful lives
- 13:00without beauty. Sometimes I will hear
- 13:01about, you know, negative hater comments
- 13:03like people think my content is vapid or
- 13:05whatever, but it is simply not true.
- 13:07Beauty is truly an intellectual and
- 13:09philosophical pursuit. In fact, you can
- 13:12even say that education helps us
- 13:15understand the importance of beauty
- 13:17because the people who don't understand
- 13:19beauty also live very sad lives, but
- 13:21that won't be us, my beauty queens and
- 13:23my beauty kings. Face suit is going to
- 13:24be the frame. So, hair is half of your
- 13:27face, literally. Some of you guys asked,
- 13:29"How did my face get so small and
- 13:31snatched?" Listen, my hair is my makeup.
- 13:34The master of makeup is also the master
- 13:36of illusion, and I am all smoke and
- 13:38mirrors, too. So, yeah, half my face is
- 13:40hidden by my hair. A lot of you think I
- 13:42have an oval face, and if you saw me
- 13:44with my hair all pulled all the way
- 13:45back, you would see that I still have a
- 13:48round face. It's just more sculpted now
- 13:50because I lost weight, and my braces
- 13:52made my jawline stronger from all the
- 13:54teeth grinding, which is not great, but
- 13:56it is what it is. And I guess I want it,
- 13:58I got it. I've also been super
- 14:00consistent with my lymphatic drainage
- 14:01massages, which I also will post on my
- 14:03new Stoic Angels membership platform, so
- 14:04I look less puffy, especially the more I
- 14:06keep doing it. I honestly think that it
- 14:09will help a lot of people. Our fascia is
- 14:10so underrated when it comes to the way
- 14:12we look. It even affects our posture and
- 14:14asymmetry. Anyways, the right haircut
- 14:16can also completely change the shape
- 14:19people think your face is. So, I cut off
- 14:21my split ends whenever I see them to
- 14:23also preserve my hair length, but if you
- 14:25have damaged hair, especially in your
- 14:27ends, go to a good stylist and ask them
- 14:29to just chop it off, everything that's
- 14:30damaged. I may even have to do this at
- 14:32some point, honestly. But, what I did
- 14:34was I stopped dying and bleaching my
- 14:36hair because I had super damaged
- 14:38bleached hair for years, and it couldn't
- 14:40even grow past my shoulders. I waited
- 14:43until the health and length came back,
- 14:45then I switched to an at-home gloss
- 14:47treatment. My bangs are also
- 14:49life-changing for me, and it would be
- 14:51good for you to experiment and see if it
- 14:53suits you. Either through a beauty app
- 14:55or a wear thick bangs wig thingy, and
- 14:58see how you look before making the big
- 15:00commitment. And if your hair is curly,
- 15:02don't fight it into a blowout, learn to
- 15:04work with your curls. I personally think
- 15:07curly hair is so beautiful and gorgeous.
- 15:09I would love to have curly hair, but I'm
- 15:10not built like that, unfortunately. In
- 15:12fact, I would have to do a lot to my
- 15:13current hair to maintain curls. So, for
- 15:15my curly kings and queens, lucky you,
- 15:17honestly. I love. Number eight,
- 15:19eyebrows. Good eyebrows can change the
- 15:21way your face looks. You can feel like a
- 15:22new person after getting your brows done
- 15:24and styled. Brows frame your entire face
- 15:27and they're one of the fastest changes
- 15:28you can make. If you're not sure what
- 15:30shape suits you, go and see a
- 15:32professional brow artist once and then
- 15:34ask them how to maintain that shape at
- 15:36home. Brow lamination is also very
- 15:38popular these days. If you like the look
- 15:40of thicker brows, again, this is a great
- 15:42place to experiment and your brows can
- 15:44really change a lot for you. Number
- 15:45nine, knowing your colors. Most people
- 15:47have a handful of colors that make them
- 15:48look incredible and some that make them
- 15:50look a little sick and you don't need a
- 15:52new wardrobe to do that. My favorite
- 15:54trick is to buy one light scarf or a
- 15:56cardigan in your best color so that
- 15:58color sits right next to your face. One
- 16:01piece, it works with everything. Number
- 16:0310 is to cut the frump. I shifted my
- 16:05whole approach to clothes so that I feel
- 16:07at least a little bit sexy every single
- 16:09day and not just cute or polished,
- 16:11right? Something that I wouldn't mind
- 16:13running into an ex in, but we have to
- 16:14dress ourselves out of love, not hate.
- 16:17Instead of wearing clothes that hide
- 16:18what you want to change, wear clothes
- 16:20that show off the features you already
- 16:22love. The most beautiful people I know,
- 16:24in fact, are just really knowledgeable
- 16:27about their best features and they work
- 16:29them to the bone. Number 11, posture. It
- 16:31is the physical embodiment of
- 16:33confidence. It's free 99. It changes how
- 16:36every outfit looks on you. It changes
- 16:38how you look completely, your aura,
- 16:41everything. People with good posture
- 16:43look insanely good automatically and I'm
- 16:46constantly trying my best to work on my
- 16:48posture. It's been struggling lately
- 16:50because I've been editing videos all day
- 16:52long for that membership for the last
- 16:53few months. I'm aiming to launch it with
- 16:55so much content. So like, why am I doing
- 16:57this myself? I do it for you, actually.
- 16:59Anyways, hopefully by then my posture
- 17:01will be flawless, but yeah, desk work
- 17:03all day long, no good. I wear these
- 17:05things, by the way, to correct my
- 17:07posture at the desk. I got it in two
- 17:08colorways, slack and then pink. It's
- 17:10been super useful. They're literally
- 17:12like corsets, but I just searched
- 17:13posture corrector and I do posture reset
- 17:16and neck exercises every hour or so, and
- 17:19back bends are really good to combat
- 17:21tech neck. I get a weekly deep tissue
- 17:23massage as well, and it strengthened my
- 17:25upper back muscles by 50%. And my
- 17:27shoulders dropped a lot. I'm not even
- 17:28talking about the good muscles. Like
- 17:30those knots really add up visually. I
- 17:32can see a huge difference even after one
- 17:35session. But if you don't have time for
- 17:36that, stretch. Shoulders down, slightly
- 17:39back. Think about drawing your belly
- 17:41button towards your spine with your
- 17:42muscles, which is different from sucking
- 17:44in your stomach because it will realign
- 17:46your hips and your back. Now, phase
- 17:47three, we're at the finish line. Number
- 17:4912 is makeup, and yes, guys, this one's
- 17:52for you, too. Makeup is a game changer
- 17:54even for the it boys. Please do not skip
- 17:56this section. If you're going to take
- 17:57some tips from girls, you're going to be
- 17:59ahead of the game. No queen out there is
- 18:02going to shame you for concealer or
- 18:04using Chapstick. Why would they? In
- 18:06fact, they would love that. The only
- 18:08people who will are guys who are
- 18:10insecure about their masculinity, and
- 18:12truly, who cares? My best makeup tip,
- 18:14which is the one I wish I knew years
- 18:16ago, dewy light coverage base only
- 18:18really works on clearer, drier skin. If
- 18:20you're oily, acne-prone, or have
- 18:22texture, it shows every bump. It doesn't
- 18:25cover up any redness, and it slides off
- 18:28by noon. Matte foundation and powder
- 18:30products would treat you so much better.
- 18:32And the flawless Korean and Japanese
- 18:34makeup look, the glass skin, it's all in
- 18:37the layering. Thin, thin layers of a
- 18:39medium coverage semi-matte foundation
- 18:42around the edges of your face, and the
- 18:44lighter glowier base only on the center
- 18:47and the high points, and then spot
- 18:50conceal in very thin layers. I've been
- 18:52doing all of my base makeup in layers,
- 18:54very thin layers lately. I do two layers
- 18:57of primer, and then I also set it off
- 19:00with a setting spray. My foundation
- 19:01lately, which is a BB cream, I'm doing
- 19:03like five, six thin layers. And it's
- 19:05been a huge improvement because my
- 19:06makeup doesn't get clumpy anymore. And
- 19:08remember, too, like who you're comparing
- 19:10yourself to when you compare your skin,
- 19:13do not compare yourself to me because
- 19:15you see how many lights I'm sitting in
- 19:17front of and you can tell with my
- 19:18eyeballs, by the way. Anyone's skin can
- 19:20look incredible with amazing lighting.
- 19:22Also, a lot of celebrities with glass
- 19:24skin are probably on low-dose Accutane.
- 19:27They probably see a dermatologist very
- 19:30regularly and then they still get
- 19:32airbrushed. You're most likely comparing
- 19:33your real face to a face with a ton of
- 19:35upkeep done to it. Number 13, skin care
- 19:38one product at a time. Skin care changed
- 19:40the game for me, but it's near the top
- 19:42of the pyramid for a reason. So, my rule
- 19:44is whatever skin concerns you're dealing
- 19:46with, wait 2 weeks between introducing
- 19:48new products so you know what's actually
- 19:50working and what's breaking you out. I
- 19:52stick to the same few evidence-based
- 19:54ingredients and rotate products around
- 19:56them. If you start a retinoid, start low
- 19:58and slow and please do not put tretinoin
- 20:00right next to your eyes. I have had dry
- 20:03eyes for years. It was chronic. My eye
- 20:05doctor couldn't figure it out until I
- 20:08stopped using Trets for a while. My dry
- 20:11eyes literally went away. As it turns
- 20:13out, it can affect the oil glands on
- 20:15your eyelids and cause long-lasting dry
- 20:17eyes. And because tretinoin travels on
- 20:19your skin, you actually still get the
- 20:20benefits even if you don't apply it in
- 20:22your infraorbital area, basically your
- 20:24eye socket area. And ask your
- 20:26dermatologist before you start any
- 20:27prescription. Number 14, the little
- 20:29things that add up. So, I'm not perfect
- 20:31at doing everything every day, but every
- 20:33few days I do one small beauty thing.
- 20:35Whitening strips, a hair mask in the
- 20:36shower, I touch up my nails, which I do
- 20:38myself these days. I trim my brow hair,
- 20:41trim my split ends, nothing crazy, but
- 20:43it all adds up. That's the energy for
- 20:45our last month. People will notice
- 20:48teeth, nails, lashes, how you smell. I
- 20:50love to do a lash lift and tint every 6
- 20:52weeks and a nice perfume with clean
- 20:54ingredients, maintain clean nails. I
- 20:56cannot maintain clean nails, so I have
- 20:58to cover it up with my acrylics. I swear
- 21:00having claws also stops me from picking
- 21:03my scabs because your girl has ADHD. So,
- 21:07know yourself and understand yourself.
- 21:09And do the small things on repeat so
- 21:11that it's not a chore. Now, the capstone
- 21:13is going to be hard maxing. Injectables,
- 21:16medspas, surgery, I do not recommend any
- 21:18of this until you have done everything
- 21:20else first and feel like you still want
- 21:21it, then go and explore it. Some people
- 21:23think that I'm against it, but I'm
- 21:24against illiteracy. Know what you're
- 21:26getting into and know what you're paying
- 21:28for. For example, I see a lot of younger
- 21:31girls get preventative baby Botox for
- 21:33anti-aging, but it's actually not
- 21:35preventative. What actually ages a face
- 21:37is the structures underneath the skin
- 21:39slowly moving down because of gravity,
- 21:42plus losing the baby fat on your face,
- 21:45and Botox doesn't touch any of that.
- 21:47Botox prevents signs of immobility, not
- 21:50signs of aging, and fine lines do not
- 21:52necessarily make you look older. For
- 21:54example, I have no Botox right now. When
- 21:57I talk, maybe even without lights on,
- 21:59you can see my mouth lines and you can
- 22:01see how expressive my face is. People
- 22:03will get Botox so they don't do that or
- 22:05have the forehead thing, and they just
- 22:07look like this.
- 22:09These days, the girls are also getting
- 22:11biostimulators instead of filler.
- 22:13Personally for me, when I'm 60, I might
- 22:15look into fat transfer and a facelift,
- 22:17and I think that's all for me. And that
- 22:19won't come for another, I don't know, a
- 22:21few decades. And I've had two nose jobs
- 22:23because the first one was really not
- 22:24great, and I got chest implants, and
- 22:27none of this is taboo, okay? I don't
- 22:29know why. Like, we can talk about these
- 22:30things, okay? A lot of haters love to
- 22:32tell me that I obviously have limiting
- 22:33beliefs about manifestation because I
- 22:35got plastic surgery. That is not true at
- 22:37all. Everyone has limiting beliefs. I
- 22:39know mine very well. I also dig deep and
- 22:42I still get my results. I'd rather do
- 22:43all of that than pretend I don't have
- 22:45any. This is why we do our shadow work
- 22:47integration. Look at me. I wanted it, I
- 22:50got it. Surgery was one method of
- 22:51getting what I wanted, but I don't want
- 22:53to influence anyone to do this. The risk
- 22:56can be high. Trust me, I have lived
- 22:58through it. I have almost
- 22:59through it. You need to decide for
- 23:02yourself, but I also did mention before
- 23:04your end goals for your glow up. You
- 23:06need to know what the end goal is. For
- 23:08example, I have uneven eyelids which
- 23:11makes my eyes look different sizes
- 23:12sometimes. It doesn't bother me because
- 23:14I can fix that with makeup. So, I will
- 23:17not be getting eye surgery. People think
- 23:19I did absolutely everything when I just
- 23:20got good at makeup and lost a lot of
- 23:22weight. Only the people who know will
- 23:24know. The ones who don't, they don't.
- 23:26This is why I emphasize inner work. If
- 23:28you have done the top of the pyramid and
- 23:29you still wonder why you feel insecure
- 23:31still, please I suggest you read this
- 23:34book called Psycho-Cybernetics. It's
- 23:36written by a plastic surgeon who
- 23:37observed the same thing in his patients.
- 23:39Spoiler alert, they failed to update
- 23:42their self-concept. I have a video on
- 23:44that as well if you want to watch it
- 23:46next. So, before you change anything,
- 23:47ask yourself why you want to glow up,
- 23:49why you think something is wrong with
- 23:50you, and what you're willing to give up
- 23:52to become who you want to be. Everything
- 23:54that you do or do not do have
- 23:56consequences. So, what are you willing
- 23:58to deal with? If you don't believe you
- 24:00deserve to look and feel better, no
- 24:01amount of skin care will convince you.
- 24:03So, whatever beliefs you have about
- 24:04yourself, acknowledge it, work with
- 24:06them, dig it up, and then we can build.
- 24:08This is exactly what I'm building inside
- 24:11my new membership. Stoic Angels is where
- 24:13we do daily inner work practices,
- 24:14brainwash ourselves to have an
- 24:16incredible glow up, regulate our nervous
- 24:18system, and I am uploading so many
- 24:20videos that the YouTube algorithm will
- 24:21hate because it is not clickbait. And
- 24:23I'll put all of that on my platform. I'm
- 24:24launching at the end of this month. I'm
- 24:26so nervous. I'm so excited. You can join
- 24:28my waitlist with the link in the
- 24:29description. So, 90 days though,
- 24:31foundation first and then your frame and
- 24:33the finish and capstone only if you
- 24:35still want it after all of that. Now,
- 24:37tell me in the comments which phase
- 24:39you're going to start off with. And tell
- 24:40me which one is the one that you've been
- 24:42skipping and you want to work on. And
- 24:43affirm with me, I am building my glow up
- 24:46from the ground up. I believe you all
- 24:48beautiful people. You are all my beauty
- 24:50kings and queens. I love you all, and
- 24:53I'll see you in the next video.
- 25:02>> Hey.
