1. 0:02I'm about to tell you everything that
2. 0:04you need to know about the cheapest Walt
3. 0:07Disney World tickets so as of this
4. 0:09morning if you didn't catch it on
5. 0:11Instagram already Disney announced their
6. 0:14coveted military promotional tickets
7. 0:17sometimes they're referred to as the
8. 0:18salute tickets or just the promo tickets
9. 0:21but these are the tickets that military
10. 0:23members and their families wait around
11. 0:26for all year long to see if Disney is
12. 0:28going to offer them again for the
13. 0:30following year now after doing a lot of
14. 0:32research these are going to be the most
15. 0:34affordable tickets that you're going to
16. 0:36be able to find to purchase for your
17. 0:38Walt Disney World vacation we are so
18. 0:40fortunate and forever grateful to Disney
19. 0:43for offering these to military members
20. 0:45and their families we realize this is
21. 0:47not something that's guaranteed every
22. 0:49year and it's something that they
23. 0:50graciously do to make sure that we get
24. 0:52to visit the theme parks too because as
25. 0:54you know as military members it's not
26. 0:56always easy to plan a vacation because
27. 0:58your schedules are all over the place
28. 1:00sometimes it's just not in the budget
29. 1:01but for 2024 we're seeing the 4day the
30. 1:045day and the 6- day Park ticket that
31. 1:08hasn't been seen since back in 2020 so
32. 1:10if you're planning a trip for your
33. 1:12family next year grab your paper and a
34. 1:14pen I'm going to give you all the
35. 1:16details take notes you're going to want
36. 1:18to get all of this information so that
37. 1:20you can start planning now so to start
38. 1:23off you can purchase these tickets from
39. 1:24your local base or you can contact
40. 1:27shades of green and if you don't know
41. 1:28what that is it's a res Resort on Walt
42. 1:30Disney World property that's exclusive
43. 1:32to military members and their families
44. 1:34they do have a working ticket office
45. 1:36inside the resort or you can visit
46. 1:38shades of green online I'll put the
47. 1:40website right here just go on there and
48. 1:43they'll walk you through how to fill out
49. 1:44an order form and to place your order
50. 1:46that way so if you're planning your trip
51. 1:48for 2024 the military promotional
52. 1:50tickets are going to be good from
53. 1:52January 1st through December 20th of
54. 1:562024 so with that being said keep in
55. 1:59mind that if you're ordering the 4day
56. 2:01the 5day or the six- day tickets you're
57. 2:03going to want to make sure that you
58. 2:04order those prior to December 20th so if
59. 2:07you're getting the 6-day tickets you're
60. 2:08going to want to order those before
61. 2:10December 15th if you're getting the
62. 2:125-day tickets you're going to want to
63. 2:14get those before December 16th and if
64. 2:16you're getting the 4-day tickets make
65. 2:18sure you're getting those before
66. 2:19December 17th that way you'll have
67. 2:21plenty of days to use your tickets
68. 2:23before they expire on the 20th some
69. 2:25other things that you're going to want
70. 2:26to keep in mind is that these tickets do
71. 2:28have blackout dates so kind of similar
72. 2:30to the Past for spring break and for
73. 2:32fall break or Thanksgiving there's going
74. 2:34to be some black updates you will not be
75. 2:37able to use these tickets between March
76. 2:4024th and April 6th this is typically a
77. 2:43spring break window for many many
78. 2:45schools across the country it's going to
79. 2:47be super crowded during that time
80. 2:49anyways so you may not even want to go
81. 2:52during that time the other blockout time
82. 2:54that I mentioned around Thanksgiving is
83. 2:56going to be between November 24th and
84. 2:58November 30th so it's a good week in
85. 3:01there around Thanksgiving again this is
86. 3:03a very popular time for Walt Disney
87. 3:05World so if you don't like crowds you're
88. 3:08just going to want to avoid this anyways
89. 3:10and you might be asking yourself well I
90. 3:12want to go at Christmas time so how am I
91. 3:14going to use these tickets for Christmas
92. 3:15and unfortunately you are not going to
93. 3:17be able to use these tickets for
94. 3:19Christmas time because they do end at
95. 3:21December 20th so there is a 10 11-day
96. 3:24window before the next year where you
97. 3:27cannot use these military promotional
98. 3:28tickets and once again that is probably
99. 3:31the busiest time of year I would suggest
100. 3:33maybe finding another time to go but if
101. 3:35that's the only time you have and you're
102. 3:37just really gung-ho about being there
103. 3:39for Christmas as close as December 25th
104. 3:41as you can get then you're going to want
105. 3:42to look at the magic your way tickets
106. 3:45these are also military discounted
107. 3:47tickets that you can purchase through
108. 3:48shades of green they're not going to be
109. 3:50as heavily discounted as the promotional
110. 3:52tickets but it is an option for you if
111. 3:54you want to look into that you'll save a
112. 3:56little bit of money and then of course I
113. 3:58should mention if you don't already know
114. 4:00these are taxfree so if you purchase
115. 4:02them from shades of green you're paying
116. 4:04no taxes on them and that goes for your
117. 4:06base as well so like I said you do have
118. 4:08to be a military member or a spouse to
119. 4:11purchase these tickets but even further
120. 4:13than that you need to make sure that
121. 4:15you're eligible so not every military
122. 4:17member is going to be eligible for these
123. 4:19tickets this is reserved for active duty
124. 4:22Reserve members retired members and
125. 4:26members who are 100% disabled if you're
126. 4:28a spouse of one of those members you can
127. 4:30also purchase these tickets but you need
128. 4:32to know that you can't purchase tickets
129. 4:34along with the service member it has to
130. 4:36be either you the spouse or the service
131. 4:39member it can't be both so total number
132. 4:42of tickets is six not 12 if you're not
133. 4:45quite sure if you're eligible make sure
134. 4:47to visit shades of green they have an
135. 4:48entire eligibility section look at your
136. 4:51ID and make sure that it matches up with
137. 4:53one of those and if it does you're
138. 4:55eligible to get these tickets lucky you
139. 4:58something else exciting exciting to note
140. 5:00we mentioned a few of these things in
141. 5:02one of our last few videos about the
142. 5:04Disney changes coming up and things we
143. 5:06can expect at the park but starting
144. 5:07January 9th of next year in 2024 all day
145. 5:11park hopping returns to Walt Disney
146. 5:13World so as long as you have that park
147. 5:15hopper on your ticket no matter where
148. 5:17you get it from if you get it from
149. 5:18shades of green or Disney or your base
150. 5:20if it says park hopper you can parkop at
151. 5:23anytime of the day that is still subject
152. 5:25to capacity though so if it's a busy day
153. 5:27like Christmas Day or New Year's
154. 5:30you do still need to be aware that they
155. 5:31can cut off entry if the park reaches
156. 5:33capacity okay so let's dive into the
157. 5:35good stuff this is the stuff that you're
158. 5:37really going to want to know about so as
159. 5:39I mentioned in the beginning you could
160. 5:40either choose from a 4day park hopper
161. 5:42pass a 5day par hopper pass or a sixday
162. 5:46parkhopper pass which we haven't seen
163. 5:48since 2020 so it's really cool that they
164. 5:50bring that back and it makes a lot of
165. 5:51sense because when you get the military
166. 5:53salute tickets you are restricted to
167. 5:55just six tickets per military member or
168. 5:59spouse so let's say you're going for 4
169. 6:02days you're going to go to each Park
170. 6:03Magic Kingdom Epcot Animal Kingdom and
171. 6:06Hollywood Studios so you just want one
172. 6:08day of each you can choose to get the
173. 6:104-day parkhopper ticket for
174. 6:14$365 taxfree from shades of green or
175. 6:17your base or you can get the 4day
176. 6:20parkhopper plus ticket now what is a
177. 6:23plus ticket so the plus ticket is going
178. 6:26to get you additional days at Disney's
179. 6:28water parks like Blizzard Beach which
180. 6:30opens again November 6th of this year or
181. 6:33Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or you could do
182. 6:35one round of golf at Disney's Oak Trail
183. 6:37Golf Course or one of the miniature golf
184. 6:40courses so there's Winter Summerland and
185. 6:42then Disney's Fantasia miniature golf
186. 6:44you can choose one of those as well or
187. 6:46if those don't interest you you could
188. 6:48choose to use the ticket for a visit to
189. 6:50Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports
190. 6:52Complex and let me just point this out
191. 6:54real quick too because sometimes it's
192. 6:56pretty confusing so let's say that you
193. 6:57get the 4day parkhopper Plus ticket you
194. 7:00get to use those tickets for 4 days at
195. 7:02the theme parks and then you also get an
196. 7:05additional 4 days at one of the places
197. 7:07that I just mentioned so that's four
198. 7:09theme park days and four plus days so
199. 7:12that's eight visits so the price of that
200. 7:154day par copper plus ticket is going to
201. 7:18be
202. 7:19$395 through shades of green continuing
203. 7:21down the line we have the 5-day Park
204. 7:23copper ticket and that one's just going
205. 7:25to cost you
206. 7:26$385 if you want to do the 5day park
207. 7:29copper plus ticket so again that's 5
208. 7:32days at the parks and 5 days at the
209. 7:35water parks or golf or ESPN complex
210. 7:38that's going to be
211. 7:39$415 and then our highest tier the six-
212. 7:42day ticket for the park hopper only is
213. 7:45going to be
214. 7:46$45 and then of course if you want to
215. 7:48get the six day park hopper plus ticket
216. 7:52for 6 days at the park and 6 days at one
217. 7:55of these other plus places it's going to
218. 7:57be
219. 7:58$435
220. 8:01$435 now that number is high in a normal
221. 8:04conversation that's a high number but
222. 8:06when you're talking about 6 days at
223. 8:09Disney theme parks plus 6 days at the
224. 8:13water park or miniature golf or this uh
225. 8:16ESPN complex that is 12 visits to Disney
226. 8:20property for
227. 8:23$435
228. 8:25taxfree I'm not trying to sell this you
229. 8:28can choose to go or not I make zero
230. 8:31commission off of this and I do not work
231. 8:33for Shades of Green I have no
232. 8:35affiliation to to Disney or to shades of
233. 8:38green I'm just excited about these
234. 8:40tickets no nobody else gets these deals
235. 8:43this is military only and you will not
236. 8:46find a better deal out there if you do
237. 8:49message me and a lot of people will say
238. 8:51well I'm on Disney's website and it
239. 8:52looks like you know this one day is $124
240. 8:56or something like that and what people
241. 8:58fail to real realiz is you're looking at
242. 9:00the price and it says starting
243. 9:03at14 or that's the price that it gives
244. 9:05you before it adds on taxes and all
245. 9:08these other fees when we're talking
246. 9:09about these military promotional prices
247. 9:12that's it that's the bottom line there
248. 9:13are no fees there are no taxes that is
249. 9:16the number you're paying for the sake of
250. 9:18comparison because I know everybody
251. 9:20likes to see the actual numbers let's
252. 9:22just talk about what it would be for
253. 9:24Disney for a 6-day visit so if we're
254. 9:27talking about just a Six-Day par hopper
255. 9:29ticket we won't talk about the plus
256. 9:31we're going to just compare a 6-day park
257. 9:33hopper ticket from shades of green or
258. 9:35from your base as the military promo
259. 9:38ticket compared to just a full regular
260. 9:41price Disney ticket for a regular Park
261. 9:43guest okay so in February 6 days park
262. 9:48hopper added on it's going to cost you
263. 9:58$894,000 to
264. 10:0145 okay that's almost
265. 10:04double that is double that's more than
266. 10:07double you're getting 50% off through
267. 10:10the military promo ticket July again six
268. 10:13day parkhopper ticket through Disney
269. 10:17$784 77 compared to
270. 10:2145 still a great deal August
271. 10:27$649.99 through Disney still more than
272. 10:30405 and then if we look at December
273. 10:32through Disney before the blackout dates
274. 10:34that these tickets have so early
275. 10:36December
276. 10:38$860 75 through Disney or $45 through
277. 10:42the military promo ticket some of you
278. 10:44may look at these prices and think
279. 10:47that's still a lot of money and they
280. 10:48went up from last year and they did this
281. 10:51much and I realize that these prices are
282. 10:54high for an average family but they make
283. 10:57it so affordable compar compared to
284. 10:59buying it directly through Disney that
285. 11:01it's really hard not to appreciate those
286. 11:04savings these tickets are exclusive for
287. 11:07military nobody else gets these and
288. 11:10that's what is just so important to
289. 11:12stress if you find yourself saying this
290. 11:15is just way too expensive I just don't
291. 11:17think that I can take my family a five
292. 11:19to Disney for these prices you may be
293. 11:22right but what I can tell you is that it
294. 11:24is achievable and if you just save a
295. 11:27little bit for a year you may able to
296. 11:29take that trip next year assuming
297. 11:31Disney's going to release the tickets
298. 11:33for 2025 if this is the first time that
299. 11:35you're hearing about these tickets you
300. 11:36may need a little bit of time just to
301. 11:38save up some extra cash something else
302. 11:40to think about too is how much the
303. 11:42ticket has gone up each year now I don't
304. 11:44know about you but we've been going to
305. 11:46shades of green since 2017 and the cost
306. 11:49has never gone up more than $32 a ticket
307. 11:52it's actually gone up less this year
308. 11:54than it has for the past few years so in
309. 11:572017 a 4day par copper ticket would have
310. 12:01cost
311. 12:02$29 and man do I miss that price in 2018
312. 12:06it went up to
313. 12:07$226 for an increase of 17 for 2019 it
314. 12:11went up to $241 for an increase of $15
315. 12:14in 2020 it went up to $265 for an
316. 12:18increase of $24 2021 the price was
317. 12:23$290 for an increase of
318. 12:25$25 2022 the price was $32 22 per ticket
319. 12:30for an increase of $32 and that was our
320. 12:33highest increase between 2021 and 2022
321. 12:37and then this current year for 2023 it
322. 12:40cost you
323. 12:41$346 and that was an increase of $24
324. 12:44from the prior year and then for our new
325. 12:46tickets in 2024 the price is $365 so
326. 12:50it's only going up $19 for next year
327. 12:52which isn't too bad considering the
328. 12:54inflation everywhere else and just to
329. 12:56reiterate because I think this all ties
330. 12:58into together I want to make sure that
331. 13:00you guys understand that these military
332. 13:02promotional tickets are not date-based
333. 13:05tickets so what does that mean you may
334. 13:08have heard in Disney news that starting
335. 13:10next year January 9th you won't have to
336. 13:13make Park reservations anymore and
337. 13:15that's true if you purchase your tickets
338. 13:17through Disney because those are
339. 13:18date-based tickets basically when you
340. 13:20order tickets through Disney you have to
341. 13:22let them know when you're coming or when
342. 13:24your start date is so that they know
343. 13:25when to expect you those are date-based
344. 13:28whenever you're purchasing these kind of
345. 13:30tickets the promotional tickets Disney
346. 13:32doesn't exactly know when you're coming
347. 13:34they just know that when you come you're
348. 13:35going to be here for 4 days 5 days or 6
349. 13:38days but that could be at any point in
350. 13:40the year before December 20th right so
351. 13:42they're not really sure when to account
352. 13:44for you and so basically a Park
353. 13:46reservation is just your way to RSVP to
354. 13:49Disney and let them know that you're
355. 13:50coming so don't get confused when you
356. 13:52hear people say Park reservations are
357. 13:54going away next year they are but not
358. 13:57for these tickets okay
359. 13:59are you guys still with me I think we
360. 14:01covered everything important as of now
361. 14:05I'm thinking about doing a separate
362. 14:06video about magic your way tickets on
363. 14:09their own we do have a video from
364. 14:12earlier this year where we compared
365. 14:14magic your way tickets to the
366. 14:17promotional tickets to Disney tickets
367. 14:19I'll go ahead and Link that video down
368. 14:21below in case you guys are interested in
369. 14:23seeing that but just know that those
370. 14:24prices reflect 2023 not next year's
371. 14:28prices that we're talking about in this
372. 14:30video but it is good to reference just
373. 14:32to see like what the difference is in
374. 14:34pricing so now I need to know let me
375. 14:36know in the comments if you guys are
376. 14:37planning on going next year what do you
377. 14:39think about the prices of these tickets
378. 14:41honestly I think Tim and I may need to
379. 14:43have a conversation because everyone in
380. 14:45our family has an annual pass and I'm
381. 14:48not quite sure that we all need one next
382. 14:53year we're going to have to do some math
383. 14:55and check out our schedule but we may be
384. 14:57able to just get away with doing these
385. 14:59Six-Day park hopper tickets instead
386. 15:02because you could even do the Six-Day
387. 15:04park hopper ticket but only go to three
388. 15:07parks and save the other three days for
389. 15:11a future visit you know what I'm saying
390. 15:13if you purchase the sixday park hopper
391. 15:15ticket you don't have to use them all at
392. 15:17one time you just have to use them
393. 15:19before December 20th so you could
394. 15:22potentially make two or even three trips
