4. 0:04popularizing foldable phones, starting
5. 0:07with the launch of the first Galaxy Fold
6. 0:09in 2019. Today, the company offers three
7. 0:11different form factors, flip, fold, and
8. 0:14tri-fold. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is the
9. 0:17compact option. It features a 6.9-in
10. 0:19foldable AMOLED display with a 120-Hz
11. 0:22refresh rate, along with a 4.1-in flex
12. 0:25window, an Exynos 2600 processor, 12 GB
13. 0:28of RAM, a 50-MP main camera, and a 4300
14. 0:31mA hour battery. Flex window lets you
15. 0:34use apps, widgets, Samsung Wallet, and
16. 0:36various settings without opening the
17. 0:37phone, while flex mode adapts the
18. 0:39interface when the device is partially
19. 0:41folded. For example, a video can play on
20. 0:43the top half of the screen while the
21. 0:44controls move to the bottom. For the
22. 0:46book-style form factor, there is the
23. 0:48Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the higher-end Fold
24. 0:518 Ultra. The Fold 8 Ultra features a
25. 0:536.5-in cover display and an 8-in inner
26. 0:56display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
27. 0:58for Galaxy, a 200-MP main camera, and a
28. 1:015000-mA hour battery. In addition to the
29. 1:05usual advantages of a fold, the series
30. 1:07supports Samsung DeX, allowing you to
31. 1:09connect the phone to a monitor,
32. 1:10keyboard, and mouse, and turn it into

45. 1:36today it has one of the most diverse
46. 1:38approaches with four different types of
47. 1:40foldables. For the classic flip form
48. 1:42factor, there is the Nova Flip S, a
49. 1:44compact model that folds a regular
50. 1:46smartphone in half and uses a cover
51. 1:48display for quick access to
52. 1:50notifications and other functions. More
53. 1:52interesting is the Pura X series, with
54. 1:54which Huawei has essentially created its
55. 1:56own category of foldables. The current
56. 1:58Pura X Max is much wider than a
57. 2:00conventional flip with a 5.4-in cover
58. 2:03display and a nearly square 7.7-in inner
59. 2:05display. This positions it somewhere
60. 2:07between a flip and a fold. More compact
61. 2:10than a traditional fold, but with much
62. 2:11more screen space when opened. For the
63. 2:14classic book style form factor, there is
64. 2:16the Mate X7, a direct competitor to the
65. 2:18Galaxy Z Fold. It has a 6.49-in cover
66. 2:21display and an 8-in inner display, but
67. 2:23one of its main advantages is its
68. 2:25design. It is only 9.5 mm thick when
69. 2:28folded despite its form factor and 5,300
70. 2:30mA
71. 2:31hour battery. And at the top of the
72. 2:33lineup is the Mate XT2 Ultimate, the
73. 2:36second generation of Huawei's trifold
74. 2:38concept. Its two hinges allow the phone
75. 2:40to transform from smartphone size into

77. 2:44much closer to a full-size tablet than a
78. 2:46conventional fold. Xiaomi entered the
79. 2:49foldable phone market in 2021 with the

88. 3:10selfies with the main cameras. One of
89. 3:12its biggest strengths is the 5,165
90. 3:15mA hour battery, which is unusually

93. 3:21cameras. For the book style form factor,
94. 3:24there is the Xiaomi 18 Fold, which

106. 3:53unfolded. Google entered the foldable
107. 3:55phone market in 2023 with the first
108. 3:57Pixel Fold. And unlike other
109. 3:59manufacturers, Google has so far focused
110. 4:01exclusively on this category. The
111. 4:03current Pixel 11 Pro Fold features a
112. 4:056.5-in OLED cover display and an 8-in
113. 4:08foldable display. Inside, it uses the
114. 4:10Google Tensor G6 processor, 16 GB of
115. 4:13RAM, while the camera system includes a
116. 4:1548-megapixel main camera. One important
117. 4:18advantage is its IP68 rating, providing
118. 4:20protection against both water and dust.

141. 5:06foldable display. Inside, it uses the
142. 5:09Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the
143. 5:11battery reaches up to 7,150
144. 5:14mA hours, depending on the version and
