12. 0:35better than last time it's a lot more
13. 0:36crispier crispier because we got another
14. 0:39mic because i was really tired of having
15. 0:41to pull him forward into the mic yeah it
16. 0:43was kind of annoying being in your face
17. 0:45and up all up in your grill so i was i'm
18. 0:47definitely stoked about having a second
19. 0:49one too
20. 0:50when we were testing out the microphones
21. 0:51and everything i was like check check

23. 0:56and i was like please just say anything
24. 0:58other than check so that way i can get
25. 0:59an accurate gauge of how you actually
26. 1:01sound instead of yelling checking to the
27. 1:02mic nah i have to literally give tribute

34. 1:18unfortunately we couldn't meet up with

39. 1:30disappointing weekend that we were
40. 1:32supposed to be scheduled and having this
41. 1:33podcast

43. 1:36you know for some strange reason our
44. 1:38flight kept getting cancelled and
45. 1:40everything we did was getting canceled
46. 1:42so we just ended up cancelling the whole
47. 1:44trip
48. 1:45yeah we ended up staying here so
49. 1:47because it just wouldn't have worked out
50. 1:49and
51. 1:50it's okay but it's sad so
52. 1:52remember as we move forward with this
53. 1:54episode today it was written with you
54. 1:56guys in mind so this this whole episode
55. 1:58i'm just going to picture what you would

101. 3:44first moved down here uh
102. 3:47he basically spent the uh thanksgiving
103. 3:49dinner with us um so he and his
104. 3:51girlfriend drove down from connecticut
105. 3:53to florida to see us and uh he delivered
106. 3:55me this housewarming game and has never
107. 3:57left my side so shout out to my boy carl
108. 4:00thank you carl it does it's a staple in
109. 4:03our home
110. 4:04and uh it's imaginable holding up an
111. 4:06ashtray yeah like the ash tray that says
112. 4:09dragon ball with gold lettering and it's
113. 4:11cool too because the ashtray comes off
114. 4:14and he's pink and well yeah
115. 4:16oh yeah have you heard the uh frank
116. 4:18ocean song pink matter that he talks
117. 4:20about major boob

166. 5:52we do like bad [ __ ] and that's why i
167. 5:54picked this because we were supposed to
168. 5:56be with lb and brianna and you know lb's
169. 5:59book descent from the blossoms is about
170. 6:01bad ass [ __ ]
171. 6:03we will have that interview well not
172. 6:05about badass [ __ ] but has badass
173. 6:08[ __ ] but it's kind of about badass
174. 6:09[ __ ] so we decided to talk about a
175. 6:11badass [ __ ] who ironically is from uh
176. 6:14california oh damn right where they live
177. 6:17right
178. 6:19all right without any further ado let's
179. 6:20dive into the case are you ready let's
180. 6:22do it up all right perfect so mary
181. 6:25vincent was born in 1963 and she was one
182. 6:28of seven children jesus how many kids
183. 6:30these people he had they were just
184. 6:32popping them out but remember this is 63
185. 6:35and uh there's not much else to do
186. 6:37last case was like five kids now this is
187. 6:40seven like yeah yeah they're just uh you
188. 6:43know
189. 6:44right
190. 6:45kids over there yeah definitely um so
191. 6:48she grew up in vegas and both her
192. 6:50parents actually worked at
193. 6:52casinos so her mother dealt cards and
194. 6:55her father was a machine repairman so
195. 6:57mary was somewhat described as a bad kid
196. 7:00and she was not at all close with her
197. 7:01parents she often skips
198. 7:04skipped school and uh just behave poorly
199. 7:06so you know i can relate on some level
200. 7:10i feel like i feel like every child has
201. 7:12a stage one minor one or a big one that
202. 7:15everyone's like angry and [ __ ] yeah like
203. 7:18everybody's out to get me yeah i used to
204. 7:20get suspended every single day i was a
205. 7:22good kid in school but i uh i did not
206. 7:25listen to and not enjoy the ass whoopie
207. 7:27my parents gave me but i still did it
208. 7:30yeah so she she was basically
209. 7:34yeah we're fine she was basically a
210. 7:36teenager so
211. 7:37in 1978
212. 7:39i didn't really i wasn't really able to
213. 7:40find much about her early life but in
214. 7:421978 at this time she was 15 and she ran
215. 7:45away from home already and she was
216. 7:46actually living with her boyfriend and
217. 7:48i'm pretty sure they were living in a
218. 7:49car but they were like staying together
219. 7:51wait wait wait hold up hold on
220. 7:55how old is she she said 15 15 yeah and
221. 7:58she's living with her boyfriend yeah
222. 8:00what the hell is she doing living with
223. 8:02her boyfriend what are those parents
224. 8:04they she didn't get along with them she
225. 8:06ran away
226. 8:07still that's your [ __ ] child like
227. 8:09really yeah
228. 8:12yeah he's just [ __ ] crazy that's
229. 8:13something crazy as [ __ ] oh my god
230. 8:16just you wait that's not even anything
231. 8:18yet um so she was living with him but
232. 8:21then he got accused of raping another
233. 8:23girl oh yep and uh then she said [ __ ]
234. 8:28she not even knew about that huh how did
235. 8:30she not even knew about that well i
236. 8:32don't know how she didn't know but
237. 8:34i guess like
238. 8:36he was accused
239. 8:37i'm assuming he did it i couldn't really
240. 8:39find some creepy ass [ __ ] like i don't
241. 8:41know what i would do if like that
242. 8:43happened like i'm dating someone and i
243. 8:44found out something dark like that yeah
244. 8:46well she just booked it so she said [ __ ]
245. 8:50this [ __ ] i'm out and she wanted to go
246. 8:51home
247. 8:52to her grandfather which is the only
248. 8:54person that
249. 8:55she
250. 8:56really connected with
251. 8:58was her grandfather so she decided to
252. 9:00hitchhike back to her grandfather's
253. 9:02house and remember
254. 9:04i'm gonna preface this by saying this
255. 9:06this is 1978.
256. 9:08okay there are no cell phones
257. 9:10there is
258. 9:12you know nothing there's hitchhiking
259. 9:14everybody's hitchhiking to get to where
260. 9:16they want to go there's no uber
261. 9:19you know how the [ __ ]
262. 9:21ass or ask for a ride or something yeah
263. 9:24so everybody's hitchhiking okay we're
264. 9:27just gonna talk about that right up
265. 9:28front this is the 70s everybody think
266. 9:30you know peace love it's all good
267. 9:32nobody's gonna hurt you you know
268. 9:34okay
269. 9:36not at all
270. 9:37so this is the 70s so
271. 9:40she was on the side of the road because
272. 9:41she ran away from her boyfriend and was
273. 9:42going to her grandfather she was on the
274. 9:44side of the road she had her sign with
275. 9:45her saying that she was going south
276. 9:47behind her there were two other men who
277. 9:50were also going kind of the same way
278. 9:53they were just chit-chatting sitting
279. 9:54there waiting there on the side of the
280. 9:56road
281. 9:57and the first thing that pulls up is a
282. 10:00blue van
283. 10:01first of all that's a red flag right
284. 10:03there yeah i wouldn't get in a van but
285. 10:06wait so there's this dude there with
286. 10:09nothing else in the van nobody else
287. 10:12and says that he can only take one of
288. 10:15them even though all three of them are
289. 10:17going the same way
290. 10:19yep all three of them are going the same
291. 10:21way
292. 10:22and
293. 10:23he can only take one and he only wants
294. 10:25to take mary
295. 10:28so the guys that are with her like uh
296. 10:32we don't we don't think you should do
297. 10:33that that's probably not a good idea
298. 10:34like that sketch like he only wants to
299. 10:37take you you're a girl i wouldn't get in
300. 10:39there like don't do it don't do it that
301. 10:41would be the normal way of thinking yeah
302. 10:44but remember she's 15. she just has been
303. 10:46going through some [ __ ] and she says i
304. 10:48was just tired i wasn't a daredevil or
305. 10:50anything i just i was just tired and i
306. 10:52wanted i was desperate to get home
307. 10:55so what the hell's our common sense girl
308. 10:57like come on
309. 10:59i don't know she's 15. she's 15.
310. 11:02can't call her she's black
311. 11:04can you cut common sense when i was 15.
312. 11:07there's someone sitting behind me that
313. 11:08doesn't have common sense and she's not
314. 11:10that's her little sister
315. 11:14she's she has front wheels front row
316. 11:16she's right now yeah uh unfortunately
317. 11:18because elby couldn't be here my sister
318. 11:20is sitting in because we heard some
319. 11:21scary noises like the audience like the
320. 11:23little cheerleader that goes whoa yeah
321. 11:26stuff yeah so if you randomly hear some
322. 11:28wheezing it sounds like a teapot that's
323. 11:29her laughing
324. 11:31she's not laughing now but it's all
325. 11:32right
326. 11:35so she she's standing outside the road
327. 11:38with these two guys and they're like no
328. 11:39don't go don't don't do that don't and
329. 11:41she says no [ __ ] that [ __ ] i'm going i'm
330. 11:44i'm tired i want to go i want to go home
331. 11:46i'm going to go home now i'm going
332. 11:48and she gets in the van and everything's
333. 11:50fine i think she talks to him for a
334. 11:51little bit but then she gets really
335. 11:53tired and then she falls asleep which i
336. 11:56wouldn't do yeah that's like the why
337. 11:58would you want less whoa you don't even
338. 12:00know these people
339. 12:01right there's only one guy though
340. 12:04don't matter like you don't know these
341. 12:05people you're gonna fall asleep yeah so
342. 12:08she fell asleep and
343. 12:10yep so she fell asleep
344. 12:12and then she woke up and looked outside
345. 12:17and noticed that the signs were going
346. 12:19the wrong way they're going to nevada
347. 12:21instead of california i would have been
348. 12:23freaking out
349. 12:24yes breaking the freak out uh-huh uh-huh
350. 12:27so this is when she starts to get a
351. 12:29little uh
352. 12:30suspicious
353. 12:33i don't know the way you said it it's
354. 12:35like
355. 12:37uh-huh so yeah is it gonna be dark well
356. 12:41it's still daytime
357. 12:43at this point but we will get there to
358. 12:45the dark we will get that okay
359. 12:48all right so leaving me on
360. 12:51like on a first date
361. 12:53no i'm not leading you on like a first
362. 12:56date
363. 12:57okay and i didn't leave you on our first
364. 12:59date i made things very clear
365. 13:03just to let you guys know no just to let
366. 13:05you guys know no story time no no no no
367. 13:08we met at our job
368. 13:11and
369. 13:12she told me if i guessed her favorite
370. 13:14dbz character she would give me for her
371. 13:17phone
372. 13:18number i'm a huge nerd
373. 13:21for those that don't know me i'm a huge
374. 13:23anime nerd so i started naming every
375. 13:27single character even the civilians even
376. 13:32the ones that are non-existing like
377. 13:34jamcha
378. 13:37but
379. 13:38i named every single one of them
380. 13:42and then after she gave me her phone
381. 13:44number she told me in one on one of the
382. 13:46dates that i guessed it in two shots
383. 13:51and then she
384. 13:53admitted
385. 13:55to basically leading baiting me in
386. 13:57because she didn't want me to stop
387. 14:00talking to her
388. 14:02[Laughter]
389. 14:09let's talk about after this when he
390. 14:10would drive past me and he'd be like i
391. 14:13just want to be your friend no no you
392. 14:15[ __ ]
393. 14:18you wanted to be more than my friend so
394. 14:20maybe i did bait you but you tried you
395. 14:22were trying to put yourself
396. 14:24intentionally in the friend zone you're
397. 14:25just glad i didn't leave you there i
398. 14:27don't know this girl
399. 14:29what

404. 14:37driving driving with like the seat
405. 14:39pulled back like i just want to be your

411. 14:54asleep in the van she woke up she
412. 14:55realized he was going the wrong way
413. 14:58so she says something to him like hey
414. 15:01why are we going this way you know you
415. 15:03know you're going the wrong way
416. 15:05we're not supposed to be going this way
417. 15:07and he says oh yeah no problem so he
418. 15:09pulls over
419. 15:10and he gets out to take a leak and uh
420. 15:13she does she does too just like that
421. 15:15just
422. 15:16just
423. 15:17nonchalant just oh okay yeah oh sorry no
424. 15:20big deal what the [ __ ] yeah my bad my my
425. 15:22mistake oh
426. 15:24so so terribly sorry that would have
427. 15:25been a red flag for me
428. 15:27yeah
429. 15:29so
430. 15:30she gets out of the van well she stays
431. 15:32in the van and then she gets out to go
432. 15:34pee but when she gets out she's looking
433. 15:36around she's trying to figure out her
434. 15:37surroundings she realizes that her shoe
435. 15:39is untied
436. 15:40so
437. 15:41because her shoes on time she says [ __ ]
438. 15:43if i'm gonna run away from this guy
439. 15:45because at this point her brain is like
440. 15:47okay
441. 15:48like flee yeah now she's like okay yeah
442. 15:51flight fighter flight yeah that's what i
443. 15:53was showing yeah so she's like okay so
444. 15:55if i'm gonna run away i need to tie my
445. 15:57shoe because i'm gonna be have to get
446. 15:59away from him so while she's thinking
447. 16:00this while she's tying her shoe
448. 16:02out of [ __ ] nowhere
449. 16:04this man comes up
450. 16:06and hits her with a [ __ ] sledgehammer
451. 16:10to the side of her head what
452. 16:12a [ __ ]
453. 16:13sled
454. 16:14he just went wwe on her ass bro okay so
455. 16:18she is still alive
456. 16:21she just blacks out
457. 16:23how the how the [ __ ] do you survive that
458. 16:26oh
459. 16:27she must have been she must have been
460. 16:29stubborn as [ __ ]
461. 16:31babe just you wait until i tell you
462. 16:34about

472. 16:57she wakes like she comes too and she
473. 16:59realizes that she's in the van and she's
474. 17:01uh tied up

490. 17:33begins to rape her and he ends up raping

493. 17:38falling apart she's crying she says she
494. 17:40wanted to give up she wanted to die
495. 17:43and it's it's just terrible so he just
496. 17:46keeps going and she's just saying please
497. 17:48stop like why are you doing this to me

502. 17:58he's obviously not so

508. 18:08of the day he's asleep at night
509. 18:10yeah he fell asleep
510. 18:11no problem she did that's just sickening
511. 18:14yeah she stayed awake
512. 18:16and oh my god all right so i wish i
513. 18:19could say that this was the worst
514. 18:22um that happened and in my notes for uh
515. 18:26lb and brianna and you it literally says
516. 18:30i don't think that you guys are honestly
517. 18:32ready for what happened today
518. 18:34they're with us in spirit so let's let's
519. 18:36bring on the questions
520. 18:38all right so this [ __ ] [ __ ] sleaze

522. 18:43drags her out of the van right
523. 18:46and uh he grabs her and [ __ ] stands
524. 18:49out there with her and says oh you want
525. 18:51to be set free

527. 18:55goes into his hands doesn't sound very

529. 18:59he goes out into his van and then pulls
530. 19:01out a [ __ ] hatchet
531. 19:05and then he cuts her like binding off
532. 19:08and then grabs her left arm
533. 19:11takes it
534. 19:13and [ __ ] chops it off
535. 19:17yeah
536. 19:18so mary says that
537. 19:20see this is what kind of attracts me to
538. 19:22true crime stuff because like
539. 19:24you know i i can't even hurt an animal
540. 19:26myself no like i can't hurt anyone
541. 19:30and it's like
542. 19:31what brings you to this
543. 19:33like this place in your head to make you
544. 19:36want to do this to someone or even an
545. 19:39animal like that it's so it's so cruel
546. 19:42and twisted yeah um
547. 19:46i wish i can tell you that this is where
548. 19:48he stopped
549. 19:49i really do but it's not
550. 19:52and
551. 19:54so mary says that when she was holding
552. 19:57on to his arm she realized that she was
553. 19:59falling and she couldn't understand why
554. 20:01she was falling when
555. 20:03she was holding onto his arm and
556. 20:05obviously it's because she didn't
557. 20:06realize that he had chopped off her arm
558. 20:11damn her adrenaline must have been so
559. 20:13high that she didn't feel it
560. 20:15yep so then he goes and grabs her again
561. 20:18and grabs her right arm but this time
562. 20:20she says oh [ __ ] no and her will to live
563. 20:23just kicked in and she starts fighting
564. 20:26back and she's like oh [ __ ] no you're
565. 20:27not taking this arm too
566. 20:29so she's holding on to his arm death
567. 20:31grip style
568. 20:33and kicking and screaming and trying to
569. 20:35get away from him and she's in the
570. 20:36middle of [ __ ] nowhere and obviously
571. 20:39this isn't [ __ ] doing anything
572. 20:41so she's kicking and screaming and he
573. 20:43just keeps hacking away at her right arm
574. 20:46now
575. 20:46and because she's moving it's just
576. 20:48making it you know difficult no it's
577. 20:50making it difficult and it's just
578. 20:52prolonging that inevitable that he ended
579. 20:54up chopping that arm off as well
580. 20:56oh my god yep so
581. 21:00but mary says that she's like so twisted
582. 21:04so as she's laying on the ground and
583. 21:06looking at him she realizes that he's
584. 21:10shaking
585. 21:11her like he's shaking his arm and i'm
586. 21:12doing this to show ozzy to see the
587. 21:14motion but he's he's almost like
588. 21:16flicking it off and she's like it's
589. 21:18almost like basically you have water in
590. 21:20your hands and you're just like flicking
591. 21:21it off
592. 21:22but she realizes that her arm is still
593. 21:25holding on to his arm like death grip
594. 21:28and he's trying to shake it off her arm
595. 21:31yeah oh [ __ ]
596. 21:32yeah
597. 21:33it's [ __ ]
598. 21:35so
599. 21:36ugh so then i think that he thinks that
600. 21:39mary had died at this time because she
601. 21:41wasn't moving you know she wasn't saying
602. 21:42anything she wasn't even crying she was
603. 21:44just there like
604. 21:46obviously her body's in shock like crazy
605. 21:49yeah i mean i can't imagine the pain she
606. 21:52went through i mean her adrenaline went
607. 21:54up but
608. 21:55it comes to a certain time where her
609. 21:57drawing is going to come down and she's
610. 21:58going to feel everything oh yeah but
611. 22:02just

615. 22:09he he comes back to her
616. 22:13and he picks her up
617. 22:15and he throws her into a [ __ ] canyon
618. 22:19off a 30 [ __ ] foot cliff what

620. 22:28yo she must have hit that face first oh

1178. 43:33and he had stabbed her
1179. 43:35six times in the body and one time to

1183. 43:46law got out in eight years instead of
1184. 43:49being there for [ __ ] life at least
