  1. 0:00hey guys uh video lesson two here with
  2. 0:04my uncle larry hey guys
  3. 0:06what are we gonna talk about today so
  4. 0:07today we're gonna talk about being more
  5. 0:09than one-dimensional all right so
  6. 0:12one of the things i've noticed in my
  7. 0:14years of work with people is if i ask
  8. 0:16them to tell me what they're doing um or
  9. 0:19you know who are you
  10. 0:20they tell me
  11. 0:22what they do you know they might say
  12. 0:24jack might say well i'm a traitor
  13. 0:27if i talk to an athlete they say well
  14. 0:29i'm a basketball player
  15. 0:31or i'm a student
  16. 0:32whatever that's not who you are that's
  17. 0:34what you do
  18. 0:36so one of the things though especially
  19. 0:38in our american culture is we are so
  20. 0:40defined by what we do that we can lose
  21. 0:44all other sense of self and all a lot of
  22. 0:47different parts of us that are really
  23. 0:48important
  24. 0:49so
  25. 0:50jack your year last year and a half when
  26. 0:54you were really you know killing it and
  27. 0:56being successful
  28. 0:57would you say that was really your total
  29. 0:59focus
  30. 1:00yeah i'd say so that was definitely my
  31. 1:02total focus and i noticed that like
  32. 1:04you're saying i was very one-dimensional
  33. 1:07and there's there's a time and place for
  34. 1:08it and now as
  35. 1:10the market has changed
  36. 1:12and some things have happened in my life
  37. 1:15personally now i have to realize that i
  38. 1:19need to become more dimensional and have
  39. 1:22different sides and different aspects of
  40. 1:24me because the one-dimensional lifestyle
  41. 1:26is definitely no way to live
  42. 1:28so what were some of the things that
  43. 1:29were happening to you negatively doing
  44. 1:31that one-dimensional lifestyle
  45. 1:33i would say that the biggest thing was
  46. 1:35my health was really taking a plummet
  47. 1:38and you know the famous saying health is
  48. 1:40wealth and health is definitely the most
  49. 1:42important pillar in your life before
  50. 1:45money and before
  51. 1:47family and before friends and before
  52. 1:49pretty much everything is your own
  53. 1:50health
  54. 1:51so for me personally i started getting
  55. 1:53really sick
  56. 1:55it was actually about a year ago last
  57. 1:57december
  58. 1:59and
  59. 2:00i actually remember it pretty crystal
  60. 2:02clear it was december 1st and it
  61. 2:04actually was
  62. 2:06the day i got mono
  63. 2:08and it was also my first six figure day
  64. 2:11um so as you can see i was really really
  65. 2:14getting really really sick and
  66. 2:16my throat was in really bad condition
  67. 2:18but i kept trading and i didn't take
  68. 2:20care of myself
  69. 2:21so that recovery of mono can be up to
  70. 2:24six months of some serious fatigue
  71. 2:27and i would say for the next three
  72. 2:29months i was only trading all day every
  73. 2:31day was not exercising not eating well
  74. 2:33nothing so that sickness really
  75. 2:36affected me for a good six months and
  76. 2:38about halfway through it i also um got
  77. 2:41covered
  78. 2:42and then moving into the summer i really
  79. 2:45had to realize like what i put myself
  80. 2:47through and i was um very um
  81. 2:49one-dimensional and something that my
  82. 2:51parents were uh saying a lot to me was
  83. 2:54like you're gonna get sick and you're
  84. 2:55gonna burn out because you're just
  85. 2:57going way too crazy and i did
  86. 3:00so now i had to realize like
  87. 3:02okay i pushed myself really hard and it
  88. 3:05was
  89. 3:06worth it because i
  90. 3:08achieved what i wanted to do of course
  91. 3:10but just then it's very key to make sure
  92. 3:13you have to change and you have to
  93. 3:14change your habits because if you keep
  94. 3:16doing that you're really going to run
  95. 3:18yourself into the ground to an
  96. 3:19unrecoverable um standpoint yeah you
  97. 3:23know it's interesting you said that
  98. 3:24because you know you did achieve the
  99. 3:26goals you wanted i know some of the the
  100. 3:29people who are seeing this video are
  101. 3:30saying well i'm still not there yet and
  102. 3:31i get that um but it is important to
  103. 3:35kind of try to keep balance from the
  104. 3:36get-go so you don't end up with motto or
  105. 3:40you know ending up really kind of run
  106. 3:41down
  107. 3:43[Music]
  108. 3:44obviously it's got to be different for
  109. 3:45each person but you have to kind of be
  110. 3:47aware of it
  111. 3:48down the road i'm going to give you guys
  112. 3:50some tips on how to be more diverse how
  113. 3:52to kind of tap into you know seeing
  114. 3:54yourself multi-dimensional instead of
  115. 3:56just you know i'm a trader or what have
  116. 3:59you um the fact that you know you've
  117. 4:02been able to kind of
  118. 4:03step back at this point um a little bit
  119. 4:06you know focus more on your relationship
  120. 4:08which is important to you the um your
  121. 4:11health you know
  122. 4:12seeing your family all these things um
  123. 4:15you know slow down and smell the flowers
  124. 4:17because no matter how good you are you
  125. 4:18don't know what happens tomorrow right
  126. 4:21so
  127. 4:22you know that's a really key thing yeah
  128. 4:24so now i've been really focusing the
  129. 4:27last six months on multiple aspects of
  130. 4:29my life
  131. 4:31i've really been stretching numerous
  132. 4:33times every single day because
  133. 4:35i created a lot of stress knots in the
  134. 4:38upper shoulder area and in the neck from
  135. 4:41you know constantly being like this and
  136. 4:43moving my mouse around and
  137. 4:45all that good stuff so i've been
  138. 4:47stretching multiple times a day and
  139. 4:49eating healthy and taking supplements
  140. 4:51and exercising of course and
  141. 4:53strength training and cardio training
  142. 4:55going for walks doing all that stuff
  143. 4:58and that's been really good for me and
  144. 5:00has really improved my
  145. 5:02energy levels and my happiness
  146. 5:05and going into happiness i've also
  147. 5:08been working on you know relationships
  148. 5:10with my girlfriend
  149. 5:12um and her family and really
  150. 5:15uh being mature and being loving
  151. 5:17and really um picking up where i kind of
  152. 5:21fell off
  153. 5:23last year and earlier this year where i
  154. 5:26just couldn't be
  155. 5:28what i wanted to be and i was just very
  156. 5:30one-dimensional and i never had the time
  157. 5:32to really
  158. 5:35help
  159. 5:36mari and be with her family and do
  160. 5:39things that
  161. 5:40you know a good boyfriend should be
  162. 5:42doing
  163. 5:43and
  164. 5:45other than that um
  165. 5:46family and friends i i'm with my uncle
  166. 5:49right now helping him out with uh his
  167. 5:51new
  168. 5:52uh ei
  169. 5:54uh emotional intelligence yeah yeah
  170. 5:58i always thought it was eq well you know
  171. 6:00good thing you mentioned eq is uh is
  172. 6:02another term but i think that one might
  173. 6:04be uh copyrighted so
  174. 6:06ei is uh is
  175. 6:08you know one that everybody can use
  176. 6:10cool
  177. 6:11so yeah i've been uh
  178. 6:13helping my family out i've been with my
  179. 6:15mom here for a couple weeks i've been
  180. 6:17seeing a lot more friends
  181. 6:19so just working on
  182. 6:21multiple areas of of life and making
  183. 6:24sure i see myself as
  184. 6:26a boyfriend see myself as a family man
  185. 6:29see myself as a trader see myself as
  186. 6:32someone who stays active and stays
  187. 6:34healthy and being this four-dimensional
  188. 6:37um
  189. 6:38person who
  190. 6:39has more than one thing and who is is
  191. 6:42happy in life because he's not so
  192. 6:43focused on one thing and letting one
  193. 6:45thing control his life where you have
  194. 6:47you have other things to uh bounce off
  195. 6:49of whereas
  196. 6:51okay if training's not good one day then
  197. 6:53i will go and spend time with my
  198. 6:55girlfriend and you know everything you
  199. 6:57know vanishes from the trading whereas
  200. 6:59if you're just trading you have a bad
  201. 7:00day you have nothing to bounce it off of
  202. 7:03um
  203. 7:03or if i'm
  204. 7:06with family and friends and having a
  205. 7:08good dinner staying active just
  206. 7:10that's really the key to happiness is
  207. 7:13having multiple pillars of advancements
  208. 7:16right you know it's interesting because
  209. 7:17when jack was first studying to learn
  210. 7:20how to become a traitor um
  211. 7:22you know he would share a little bit
  212. 7:23with me and he was passionate about it
  213. 7:26he
  214. 7:27loved doing what he was doing and that
  215. 7:29is one of the key things to to
  216. 7:32being happy so in america we focus so
  217. 7:35much on money that a lot of people will
  218. 7:37do things that they're not really
  219. 7:38passionate about but make some money
  220. 7:40you're not going to be happy you know i
  221. 7:42am not a trader i will probably never be
  222. 7:45a traitor because i'm really passionate
  223. 7:46about human psychology and being a
  224. 7:49therapist i love it i'm never going to
  225. 7:50make the money that he does or you know
  226. 7:52the potential you guys have
  227. 7:54but i enjoy it more and so it's really
  228. 7:57key to do what makes you happy and so
  229. 8:01jack you know he would tell me how
  230. 8:02excited he'd get you could see in his
  231. 8:04face we'd be talking about the new
  232. 8:06things he was learning and so now it's
  233. 8:08not a matter of saying you know training
  234. 8:10is not important it's now saying okay
  235. 8:13now i just got to kind of remember the
  236. 8:14other things that are important too and
  237. 8:16that's what we want you guys to do is
  238. 8:18just have
  239. 8:20a full life not a one-dimensional life
  240. 8:23love it yeah
  241. 8:25so we'll talk some more on the next uh
  242. 8:28video but remember follow me on twitter
