  1. 0:02Thousands of years ago, at a time when volcanoes walked the earth,
  2. 0:07the beautiful Tunupa existed.
  3. 0:10A goddess who, being separated from her son,
  4. 0:12wept over the arid land creating a sea of salt and discovering the meeting point
  5. 0:19between heaven and earth.
  6. 0:23Place of mysticism as deep as portals to another world.
  7. 0:35On my first trip to Bolivia I will have the opportunity to see the largest salt flat in the world
  8. 0:39with Mati De Rada and Donika.
  9. 0:42A couple of years ago, Mati came to this place to make content and made it viral with images that traveled the world,
  10. 0:49so this time I am going to accompany him to make very interesting creative concepts in this place.
  11. 0:54First time I've seen the salt flats from the plane, I've come here six times. Craziness!
  12. 1:00And we are not going to do these alone, but the people of "a Great Nation" are going to accompany us on the adventure.
  13. 1:07We stopped by the hotel to get the last equipment before starting.
  14. 1:10Well now it seems that they are going to kidnap me, they are going to put a bandage on me.
  15. 1:13It's his first time in the salt flat, so last year we started to make our friends, it's like a tradition
  16. 1:18we sell the people we bring here to the salt flat so that when we are like this, literally, in the salt desert that the whole mirage, look amazing.
  17. 1:27And how do I get in the car now? -Enter here
  18. 1:30I have no expectations of anything I want to be surprised but from here you can hear the water, that is, we are going above water.
  19. 1:36Will you guide me? Someone grab me at least
  20. 1:38There is water.
  21. 1:42-The glasses -Wow! What?
  22. 1:49We are in the emblematic Uyuni salt flat
  23. 1:52so that you have an idea of what this place means, it is so immense, it is the largest salt desert in the world
  24. 2:02to the point that when Neil Armstrong went to the moon he said “I want to go to that place”.
  25. 2:07From that moment on, even astronauts use it as a reference, not to mention that this becomes the largest mirror on the planet.
  26. 2:16No, I swear I saw it in a photo but see it in reality. Above where I see, I try to see the horizon.
  27. 2:21It is a sea, it is an ocean. I'm freaking out, crazy!
  28. 2:24Well now I'm hungry, let's eat something
  29. 2:26Hello, how are you? Thank you very much
  30. 2:29Wow, look where we are. This place that is in the middle of nowhere, we literally go, have lunch here
  31. 2:35and the incredible landscape because if you see 360° it is all salt, water and there in the background the mountains
  32. 2:42of the best things I saw in Latin America.
  33. 2:45What we are having for lunch is the “apthapi” in Bolivia, it is a tradition of the peoples that put together different foods, each one brings something, and shares
  34. 2:55“apthapi” comes from the “share” part, so that is why we serve each and every one is being served let's say.
  35. 3:04We went kilometers into the salt flat to start with the first concept.
  36. 3:09Basically the idea of this concept and these days, is to make creative concepts that are as if you were like dreaming
  37. 3:15because like here, here people say that if you are in heaven then that is the idea
  38. 3:19to make creative concepts and then record them , document it in photographs, the drone and all that.
  39. 3:24So we are putting together a structure for a girl named Ingrid who does aerial acrobatics. To be
  40. 3:30honest, I have never seen it, obviously in a circus or something like that, but in the Salar de Uyuni I think it has never been done.
  41. 3:35Well the light is already setting, it's looking very nice. We start with the dancer and let the show begin.
  42. 3:56It's very crazy but here at dawn and dusk it gets super cold, bone is completely frozen. But look at this sunset. Check this out!
  43. 4:21That's why when I told you about the legend of Tunupa, what it tells us is that it ends up leaving us the portal
  44. 4:27where the sky meets the earth ,
  45. 4:36that's why in Bolivia we used to say, we don't have the sea because we have the sky.
  46. 4:48Good morning! Well, I wanted to tell you where we are stopping right now,
  47. 4:52it is the salt palace, which is basically a hotel made almost entirely of salt and it is very good inside , it
  48. 4:58has like all the salt sculptures, all the rooms, everything is made of salt.
  49. 5:02It's very interesting.
  50. 5:16Well, we have just arrived at a kind of sculpture, a staircase in the middle of nowhere,
  51. 5:20very minimalist salt flat, all this, you have to see how it looks.
  52. 5:23We are now in "stairs to heaven" is a work of art by Gastón Ugalde
  53. 5:29our great Bolivian artist representative of Bolivia and Latin America as one of the best artists in the abstract world.
  54. 5:37Well, do you remember the lost drone that we were there in Africa that fell into a river in Nazgul 5?
  55. 5:46Well, iFlight took over and sent me the new drone they released, which is the Nazgul Evoque. The F5D,
  56. 5:52which has a different frame, is a Deadcat. What does that mean?
  57. 5:56For example, in the shots that I was doing in one shot and others when I need to have a very low profile of the camera
  58. 6:01, the propellers are not visible and that is a very big pro.
  59. 6:04Another plus that this drone has is that it has some very good LED strips that look very incredible at night,
  60. 6:08so we are going to test it now how it looks because sunset is coming, we are going to see how everything looks with the drone.
  61. 6:43I even look very good as a devil
  62. 6:50Right now we are about 15-20 minutes from the salt palace and I think that today this sunrise that we are going to see is something crazy.
  63. 6:57Donika had the idea of making a bed with flowers, we're going to fill a whole bed
  64. 7:01, we did it last night, we haven't slept at all but we're excited because I think it's going to look epic
  65. 7:06so the idea is to have a reflection and the bed there like if you were in heaven
  66. 7:31If I can give you one piece of advice for filming here in these places like the salt flats, it is to use ND filters.
  67. 7:37An ND filter is a neutral density filter that is basically like glasses for the camera
  68. 7:42instead of for our vision, for the camera
  69. 7:44and the difference is very noticeable in places that are very bright, for example, the salt flat that bounces the light a lot.
  70. 7:49One of the problems that I always had with these types of filters is that I never found a filter that has very good quality and also that is cheap
  71. 7:55because most of them are super expensive.
  72. 7:57Lately I've been testing the K&F ND filter and the truth is that it works quite well, it
  73. 8:00has a super affordable price and I thought it was great,
  74. 8:03I was shooting the last video I shot in Venezuela and this one, the one from Bolivia all with that filter
  75. 8:08because it helps us generate that beautiful blur in the background, whether it's for vlogs, for cinematics,
  76. 8:14and it's really worth more than anything in this type of situation,
  77. 8:16if you're interested I'll leave you a link in the description so you can check it out.
  78. 8:19Well guys here the idea is to do something like a dream, so right now for example, a tub in the sea with flowers while drinking wine
  79. 8:27are things that are very unreal and that is the goal.
  80. 8:31-The vibe -The vibe
  81. 8:33Let's try the 70/200. It would be at 200 so that she looks bigger
  82. 8:38Of course, as Mati says, what this generates is a depth between the background and the person,
  83. 8:42the perspective is completely different with a telephoto lens than with a wide angle lens,
  84. 8:46so that is key, to look for different focal lengths to find the sweet spot and the best feeling for the photo.
  85. 9:20-Wow, tremendous sunset that we had, right? -The sunsets here don't fail
  86. 9:23No, they don't fail. But they have a unique color that is indescribable.
  87. 9:26Something I wanted to tell you about is the passion that we share with Mati for showing places in Latin America,
  88. 9:31part of what we are doing here is based on this, to show you what is in Latin America, what is in different countries.
  89. 9:38He is from Bolivia.
  90. 9:39The salt flat is an incredible place, it is magical. I come back every time. But, well, there are more places in Argentina, in Colombia, in Brazil, in Venezuela
  91. 9:46and as Gastón said, what we are trying to do is show it in a cinematic way, putting a lot of love
  92. 9:53into it so that you are inspired and see these places so that you feel what it is to be here.
  93. 9:56I mean, it's a joke that people say that we don't have the sea, but we have the sky.
  94. 10:00But it literally feels like you're in heaven and that a place like this exists in Bolivia
  95. 10:06. I mean, I'm very proud to have this at home, but there's more, so you have to show it to the world.
  96. 10:12-Well Mati, thank you very much for inviting me, for receiving me. -Gastón now invites me to Argentina
  97. 10:17If now be attentive because in the next videos we are already in Argentina, we are going around there.
  98. 10:21So see you in the next video, if you didn't like it, subscribe and see you in the next one. Bye!
