  1. 0:01I have spoken to you on other occasions
  2. 0:03about people making deals with the
  3. 0:04devil, whether for money, power or
  4. 0:06material things in general. But what
  5. 0:09happens when that deal has to do with a
  6. 0:12person specifically to conceive a child
  7. 0:14? What do you think happens to that
  8. 0:16child? Do you think that the baby will
  9. 0:19be born and have a normal life like
  10. 0:21everyone else's or will it be different
  11. 0:23? Well, let me tell you that the devil,
  12. 0:26the demon or whatever you want to call
  13. 0:28this dark force, did have offspring. A
  14. 0:31daughter named Suala, who was born in
  15. 0:34Indonesia. And you may think that all
  16. 0:36this is just a story, but her evil
  17. 0:38spirit did exist. There are records
  18. 0:41about her. It turns out that many years
  19. 0:44ago in a town in Indonesia there was a
  20. 0:46woman named Sulastri who longed for a
  21. 0:49child. Sulastri's husband was a person
  22. 0:53who held a high position in a fairly
  23. 0:55important company and was part of a
  24. 0:57fairly important family. So, his family
  25. 1:00was always putting pressure on him to
  26. 1:02have an heir already. Therefore, the
  27. 1:05husband was also quite tense about this
  28. 1:07issue, because if Sulastri's husband
  29. 1:09did not have a son, they did not have
  30. 1:12an heir, any other member of the family
  31. 1:14could take the position that the
  32. 1:16husband had and that was not ideal.
  33. 1:19They had been married for years and she
  34. 1:22simply could not get pregnant. The one
  35. 1:25who had problems conceiving was her
  36. 1:27lastri. So one day her husband, fed up
  37. 1:30with all the pressure from his family,
  38. 1:33told her, "Look, you have this year to
  39. 1:35be able to conceive a child or I will
  40. 1:38have to have a second marriage."
  41. 1:41Sulastri was already aware of the
  42. 1:43pressure they were under to have a
  43. 1:45child, but when she heard this from her
  44. 1:47husband, she was determined to risk
  45. 1:49absolutely everything to be able to
  46. 1:50have a child. So she contacted an old,
  47. 1:54famous and very wise shaman from that
  48. 1:57town where they lived. The thing here
  49. 2:00was that this shaman was quite famous
  50. 2:02because he had many dealings with the
  51. 2:04devil and with very, very dark magic.
  52. 2:07As Latin Americans, if you live in
  53. 2:10Latin America, we are used to the dark
  54. 2:12magic that is used here, but in
  55. 2:14Indonesia it is much stronger. So when
  56. 2:17Suastri arrives with this shaman, she
  57. 2:19explains the whole situation to him.
  58. 2:20The shaman analyzes it and tells her, "
  59. 2:22Look, naturally you will never have a
  60. 2:24child, I mean, convince yourself of
  61. 2:26that. The only way you can give your
  62. 2:28husband a child is through a pact with
  63. 2:30the devil." And yes, as you can imagine
  64. 2:33, Suastri accepted. She was very
  65. 2:36uncomfortable with this pact, but she
  66. 2:38did it anyway and shortly after she
  67. 2:40became pregnant without knowing that
  68. 2:42the price of this deal was going to be
  69. 2:44quite high. In this part about when she
  70. 2:48gives birth, there are like two
  71. 2:49different versions, like two parts of
  72. 2:50this same story, because there are
  73. 2:52different records. The thing is that
  74. 2:54Nuna says that her lastri gave birth to
  75. 2:56twins. The girl was the daughter of the
  76. 2:59devil who was going to be taken by the
  77. 3:01devil when she turned 10 years old and
  78. 3:03the boy was a perfectly normal human
  79. 3:05being that the couple was going to be
  80. 3:06able to keep. But the other records say
  81. 3:10that her daughter only gave birth to a
  82. 3:12girl who was the daughter of the devil.
  83. 3:15And even though there are two versions
  84. 3:16here, it doesn't change the fact of
  85. 3:18what happened. This girl, this baby
  86. 3:20that was born was named Suala. A
  87. 3:24midwife went to Sulastri's house to
  88. 3:26help her give birth, and this midwife
  89. 3:28leaves their house as if completely
  90. 3:30affected by what she had just seen,
  91. 3:33since she said that this baby's body
  92. 3:35had no soul, because the baby, first of
  93. 3:37all, did not cry at any time and, in
  94. 3:39addition, its eyes were strangely dark.
  95. 3:43This midwife had no idea of the pact
  96. 3:45with the devil that her daughter made
  97. 3:47or anything, so she leaves because she
  98. 3:49did not want to spend any more time in
  99. 3:51that baby's house. And from the first
  100. 3:54day, day 1 of this baby's life, strange
  101. 3:57things began to happen and as she grew,
  102. 3:59her malaise not only affected her
  103. 4:02parents or the people who were close to
  104. 4:05her, but everyone in general, usually
  105. 4:07because of her appearance and her
  106. 4:10personality. First of all, no animal
  107. 4:13wanted to be near her, and if for some
  108. 4:15reason they had to get close, they
  109. 4:17would act very strange, wanting to run
  110. 4:19away all the time. Many people said
  111. 4:22they saw the girl talking to herself,
  112. 4:24that is, as if she were having a
  113. 4:25conversation with herself in a strange
  114. 4:27voice and with a dialect that no one
  115. 4:29recognized. Some children did play with
  116. 4:33their mala, but whenever they returned
  117. 4:35home, they experienced strange things
  118. 4:38every time they were in the company of
  119. 4:40their mala. And every time they saw
  120. 4:42their mala leave their house with their
  121. 4:44family or whatever. But the fact is
  122. 4:47that their mala was on the street, the
  123. 4:49people of the place where they lived
  124. 4:51would find their pets dead the next
  125. 4:53morning. In other words, it first
  126. 4:56started with animals, but then people
  127. 4:58began to disappear, especially children
  128. 5:00. It was only children who were
  129. 5:03disappearing. Unfortunately, some were
  130. 5:06never found, they never heard from them
  131. 5:08again. And those who were found, they
  132. 5:11found them dead at the bottom of a well
  133. 5:13. And the way they had taken their
  134. 5:16lives was quite cruel. Over time, it
  135. 5:19was no longer just children who were
  136. 5:21disappearing or losing their lives in
  137. 5:23strange ways, but also adults. But the
  138. 5:27condition of the bodies of these
  139. 5:29villagers who were dying was something
  140. 5:31that the people who found them would
  141. 5:34never forget, since their faces
  142. 5:36reflected a terror that they could not
  143. 5:38explain how they had made that face. In
  144. 5:41other words, it was something beyond
  145. 5:43human comprehension. And every time
  146. 5:45someone died, the traces of their
  147. 5:46illness were all over the scene. Even
  148. 5:48so, no one knew, let me tell you, how
  149. 5:50this girl had been conceived. So, they
  150. 5:53had suspicions. They could not directly
  151. 5:56point the finger at a girl for
  152. 5:57committing such an atrocity. And even
  153. 6:00if there were very strong suspicions,
  154. 6:02even if someone had directly seen her
  155. 6:04doing this, it was not enough for
  156. 6:06anyone to believe them, because no one
  157. 6:08dared to directly point the finger at
  158. 6:10the daughter of a high-ranking official
  159. 6:12. Remember that her daughter's father
  160. 6:17was someone very important from a very
  161. 6:19important family, although this would
  162. 6:21change very soon because her daughter's
  163. 6:23target was her own parents, since her
  164. 6:25parents also suspected her; so they
  165. 6:27tried to lock her up all night and,
  166. 6:28during the day, so that she was never
  167. 6:30alone. Until one very bad day, her
  168. 6:34daughter was found dead and her husband
  169. 6:37was devastated. He felt like he had
  170. 6:40lost everything. He had nothing left.
  171. 6:42And you might think, "Well, what about
  172. 6:44his daughter?" But he also suspected
  173. 6:45that his daughter was doing all this.
  174. 6:48At this point it was confirmed that her
  175. 6:50daughter was the one who had
  176. 6:52disappeared so many children, so many
  177. 6:54pets and his own mother. So the
  178. 6:56villagers finally decided to lock her
  179. 6:59up. But don't think it was in a prison,
  180. 7:01but rather they threw her into the same
  181. 7:03well where they found so many dead
  182. 7:05children and sealed it so that she
  183. 7:07would stay there forever. Or at least
  184. 7:10that's what they thought because things
  185. 7:11weren't going to end there. But it is
  186. 7:14said that strange things still happen
  187. 7:16in that village to this day. For
  188. 7:19example, if someone passes by the well
  189. 7:21where their mala was thrown, they can
  190. 7:24hear sounds coming from the well, like
  191. 7:26whispers, like whimpers, as if two
  192. 7:29people were having a conversation just
  193. 7:31as their mala did in life. Others claim
  194. 7:35to have seen a small figure there on
  195. 7:38the edge of the well with empty eyes.
  196. 7:42Even today, some villagers perform
  197. 7:44rituals to counteract or to stop their
  198. 7:47mala's anger. According to what I read,
  199. 7:50they leave food and traditional
  200. 7:52remedies outside their house. This is
  201. 7:55mainly to protect their home and their
  202. 7:57people from evil. Furthermore, the
  203. 8:00parents of children in this village do
  204. 8:02not let their children go out after
  205. 8:04dark. If you go to this village in
  206. 8:08Indonesia called, let me tell you,
  207. 8:10Semarang, you will hear this version,
  208. 8:12because there is another version that
  209. 8:15says that her, her mala, really did all
  210. 8:17this because they mistreated her twin
  211. 8:20sister; But, as I tell you, that is
  212. 8:22mostly because an adaptation of this
  213. 8:24legend was made into a movie. That's
  214. 8:27where we're getting these images from.
  215. 8:30The movie, I'm telling you, is very
  216. 8:32well adapted to what this legend is,
  217. 8:34but in this village they still have a
  218. 8:36very strict prohibition against people
  219. 8:39going out at night, since the sun sets
  220. 8:41and all that, they're very strict about
  221. 8:43everything. So, what do you think
  222. 8:48happened? I mean, daughter of the devil
  223. 8:51. Obviously they weren't going to get
  224. 8:53rid of her just by throwing her down a
  225. 8:55well. Uh, they didn't take her father's
  226. 8:59life, only her mother's. So, could it
  227. 9:02be that they exacted that pact on her?
  228. 9:04With her soul, not her father's,
  229. 9:06because her father didn't know anything
  230. 9:08. But anyway, tell me what you think
  231. 9:11and tell me if you've seen this movie
  232. 9:12called Igual, su mala. It looks
  233. 9:15interesting, but anyway, tell me what
  234. 9:17you think and I'll always be there.
  235. 9:20How much is going on? How much mystery
  236. 9:21is there with mirrors? In some cultures
  237. 9:24, mirrors are covered when someone dies
  238. 9:26so that their soul is not trapped there
  239. 9:28. Now imagine that you look in a mirror
  240. 9:32, but the reflection it gives of
  241. 9:34yourself is completely different,
  242. 9:35distorted from how you see yourself in
  243. 9:38other mirrors. Well, something like
  244. 9:41that happened to a woman named Kai. At
  245. 9:44the time this happened, Kai was 50
  246. 9:46years old. She lives in Virginia,
  247. 9:49United States, and she is an antique
  248. 9:52lover. In fact, she could be considered
  249. 9:55an expert in antiques. Her entire house
  250. 9:58is full of things that she has acquired
  251. 10:00over time and her favorite pastime is
  252. 10:02going to garage sales to see what they
  253. 10:07have that she might like and can add to
  254. 10:09her collection. Part of this pastime is
  255. 10:13also traveling 2 hours to where the
  256. 10:15antiques are to go get them. And unlike
  257. 10:20other cases, in other videos where I
  258. 10:21have told you about people who acquire
  259. 10:23antiques and immediately have things
  260. 10:25start happening to them, Kai had not
  261. 10:27had any incidents until this happened.
  262. 10:30And of course, it had to be with a
  263. 10:32mirror. It turns out that Kai sees an
  264. 10:34ad in the newspaper from a real estate
  265. 10:36agent who was saying that he wanted to
  266. 10:38empty his house and everything that was
  267. 10:40there was going to be sold. So Kai,
  268. 10:42very excited, waited until the day came
  269. 10:45to see what things were there. They
  270. 10:47didn't really say if they were modern
  271. 10:49things, minimalist things or anything.
  272. 10:52She just took a chance. But when she
  273. 10:54got the address, she felt like she had
  274. 10:56won the lottery because the whole house
  275. 10:59screamed, "There are antiques!" As soon
  276. 11:01as she entered it was like an amusement
  277. 11:04park for her, they were all very
  278. 11:06tasteful and very fine antiques. When
  279. 11:10she entered, she found out that the
  280. 11:12person who was organizing this garage
  281. 11:14sale was the son of the owner of the
  282. 11:15house who had recently passed away. And
  283. 11:18this whole house was full of things. So
  284. 11:21, everything that was in there would
  285. 11:23not fit for this man, the son of the
  286. 11:25owner, and that is why he had decided
  287. 11:27to sell everything. According to Kai,
  288. 11:30the entire house was filled with fine
  289. 11:33art, hand-blown glass, old china, and
  290. 11:35other things that Kai coveted. In fact,
  291. 11:39he wanted to take everything. Usually
  292. 11:41at garage sales, they take things out
  293. 11:43to the garage and you choose from there
  294. 11:46. But this time the man opened the
  295. 11:48doors to the house and everyone was
  296. 11:50able to walk around the house and see
  297. 11:53what they wanted to take. So Kai went
  298. 11:55through all the rooms. In all the rooms
  299. 11:58she found things that she wanted to
  300. 12:00take so badly that she got overwhelmed
  301. 12:02and said, "Look, concentrate, only take
  302. 12:04things that you really don't have or
  303. 12:05that you do want. You can't take
  304. 12:07everything because her house is already
  305. 12:09full of things too." But it was when he
  306. 12:12got to the room of the recently
  307. 12:14deceased that he found a mirror and the
  308. 12:16moment he saw it he said, "I'm
  309. 12:17definitely taking this one." It was an
  310. 12:20oval mirror that hung above the
  311. 12:22headboard of the bed and the frame was
  312. 12:25made of wood hand-carved with cherubs.
  313. 12:29And if the mirror was, well, the glass
  314. 12:32was opaque, but if she stood in front
  315. 12:34of it she could see her reflection. But
  316. 12:38she said, "No, it's just that the
  317. 12:39detail with which all this is carved is
  318. 12:42exquisite, so I'm definitely going to
  319. 12:44take it." She approached the mirror,
  320. 12:47but she didn't see any sales tag. It
  321. 12:50didn't have a price anywhere, so she
  322. 12:52went down to the man in charge and said
  323. 12:54, "Hey, there's a mirror in this room
  324. 12:55that I want to take, but I can't find a
  325. 12:57price for it." The man didn't remember,
  326. 13:00so he accompanied her to the room, saw
  327. 13:02the mirror and said, "Oh, yeah, how
  328. 13:04strange that they didn't put a price on
  329. 13:05it because it is for sale." She fell
  330. 13:08like an expert in antiques and seeing
  331. 13:10the level of antiques there were in
  332. 13:12this house, she thought, she assumed
  333. 13:14that the price of this mirror was going
  334. 13:16to be incredibly high. She was willing
  335. 13:19to pay it, so she almost fainted when
  336. 13:22this man said, "Well, give me $ 10" and
  337. 13:25took it. Kai thought, "This guy doesn't
  338. 13:27even know what he's selling." I mean,
  339. 13:29this mirror is worth like 200 times
  340. 13:30what he's selling it for. So I'm not
  341. 13:32going to tell him anything. Here's your
  342. 13:34$ 10 and help me carry it to my car.
  343. 13:38Kai couldn't wait to take this mirror
  344. 13:40home and hang it up because it was his
  345. 13:42most valuable antique. When he got home
  346. 13:45, Kai tried to dust it off a bit, to
  347. 13:47remove the tarnish from the glass, but
  348. 13:49hey, it was an antique, so he didn't
  349. 13:51accomplish much. But like I said, if
  350. 13:53she stood in front of the mirror she
  351. 13:55could see herself perfectly. This
  352. 13:57mirror became her source of pride.
  353. 14:00Anyone who came to visit Kai would show
  354. 14:03off the mirror, show them all the
  355. 14:05details, and everyone agreed with her
  356. 14:07that it was something impressive,
  357. 14:10except for one person. The one person
  358. 14:13who disagreed with what Kai was saying
  359. 14:15was her own daughter. Kai's daughter,
  360. 14:17who was now an adult, told her, "Mom,
  361. 14:19this mirror makes me feel very
  362. 14:21uncomfortable. When I look at myself in
  363. 14:23it, I feel like someone else is
  364. 14:25watching me." To which K replied, "
  365. 14:28Daughter, I think it's your nerves or
  366. 14:30something like that, because I've
  367. 14:31looked at myself in this mirror
  368. 14:33hundreds of times and I've never felt
  369. 14:34uncomfortable, quite the opposite." And
  370. 14:37this continued for a while, until one
  371. 14:40afternoon when Kai was about to leave
  372. 14:43for work and he had hung this mirror
  373. 14:46right in the hallway where the main
  374. 14:48door was. So as he was passing by, he
  375. 14:51stopped to look at himself in this
  376. 14:53mirror for the last time and that's
  377. 14:54when everything changed. Because while
  378. 14:57she was looking at herself in the
  379. 14:59mirror, as if putting the finishing
  380. 15:01touches on her hair, she noticed that
  381. 15:03her reflection began to distort. She
  382. 15:06noticed that in that reflection her
  383. 15:08eyes widened and her mouth turned down,
  384. 15:10but in a way that was unnatural for any
  385. 15:13human, she was unrecognizable. I mean,
  386. 15:16it was her face, but at the same time
  387. 15:19it wasn't. She was so alarmed to see
  388. 15:22her reflection that she ran to her
  389. 15:24bathroom, to the bathroom mirror, to
  390. 15:26verify that she looked normal. And yes,
  391. 15:29she was normal, just a little pale. She
  392. 15:32thought, "Well, it's my mind playing
  393. 15:34tricks on me. What's happening to me?
  394. 15:37Am I tired? Didn't I sleep? Because
  395. 15:39what I just saw in the other mirror,
  396. 15:41the old mirror, is not possible." She
  397. 15:43went to work avoiding seeing herself in
  398. 15:46the old mirror in the hallway. She
  399. 15:49arrived at work and as the hours passed
  400. 15:51she decided to tell some of her
  401. 15:53coworkers what had happened. And these
  402. 15:57coworkers told her, "Well, maybe you
  403. 15:59didn't sleep, I don't know, you saw the
  404. 16:00shadows of how the mirror was or
  405. 16:02something like that." So much so that
  406. 16:05Kai began to think that yes, maybe she
  407. 16:07was exaggerating. She convinced herself
  408. 16:10with what her classmates were telling
  409. 16:12her that it had all been her idea, that
  410. 16:14this hadn't really happened. However,
  411. 16:17when she got home, she avoided looking
  412. 16:19at herself in that mirror. So much so
  413. 16:22that she considered removing the mirror
  414. 16:24, getting rid of it, because what was
  415. 16:26the point of having a mirror that she
  416. 16:28was afraid of seeing herself in, of
  417. 16:30reflecting in it? But even so, she
  418. 16:33loved the shape of the mirror, how it
  419. 16:35was carved, she loved everything about
  420. 16:38it, so she refused to get rid of this
  421. 16:40antique. At the same time, she
  422. 16:42remembered those elongated and totally
  423. 16:44distorted features that she had
  424. 16:46reflected that day and she knew that no
  425. 16:48one else would understand her more than
  426. 16:51her daughter, so she went to her and
  427. 16:53told her everything that had happened.
  428. 16:56Her daughter listened attentively and
  429. 16:57said, "Mom, do you remember when I told
  430. 16:59you that I didn't like this mirror?
  431. 17:02Because the same thing happened to me,
  432. 17:03but it happened to me when we were
  433. 17:05looking at the mirror in that house
  434. 17:07where you bought it, because yes, Kai
  435. 17:08was accompanied by her daughter. As
  436. 17:11soon as she saw the mirror, because her
  437. 17:12mother told her," Look, I want this. "
  438. 17:14The exact same thing happened to her.
  439. 17:17She told her," I think there's
  440. 17:19something evil in it. There's something
  441. 17:23in this mirror that's not normal. I
  442. 17:24don't like it being here. Better take
  443. 17:26it away, burn it or something. "The
  444. 17:29difference was that Kai's daughter
  445. 17:31didn't see her face elongated, but she
  446. 17:34saw as if her skin was melting. To
  447. 17:36which Kai said," Look, daughter, I
  448. 17:38understand. I got scared too. I know
  449. 17:40how it feels, but getting rid of this
  450. 17:43antique is out of the question. Let's
  451. 17:46try something else. "So Kai went to the
  452. 17:49pastor she was seeing to ask for advice
  453. 17:51, to ask for help. When Kai went to the
  454. 17:55pastor, she told him all this and the
  455. 17:57pastor was very understanding. He told
  456. 18:00her the same thing I told you at the
  457. 18:01beginning, that in different cultures,
  458. 18:03in fact, people covered the mirror
  459. 18:04because it was believed that when
  460. 18:06someone died, if the mirror was covered
  461. 18:08, they could prevent their soul from
  462. 18:09being trapped there. This was new to
  463. 18:12Kai. She had never heard of this before
  464. 18:15. In fact, the pastor knew a little bit
  465. 18:18about relics, antiques, and he said," I
  466. 18:20think I do have something to do with
  467. 18:22your object. "" In fact, the pastor
  468. 18:25also told her, and I'm going to read it
  469. 18:28to you, that he believed that these
  470. 18:30objects like mirrors, etc., capture
  471. 18:32moments in time and preserve part of
  472. 18:34those images forever. She began to
  473. 18:38think that what they were seeing in
  474. 18:40this mirror was some kind of reflection
  475. 18:42of the former owner. Or maybe the owner
  476. 18:45also experienced this, but there was no
  477. 18:47way to ask her anymore. She arranged
  478. 18:50for the pastor to go to her house and
  479. 18:52the pastor took a couple of days to go.
  480. 18:56The pastor goes to the house, knocks on
  481. 18:58the door and as soon as he gets there
  482. 19:00he opens the door, the pastor says that
  483. 19:02the energy felt very, very different,
  484. 19:04like sinister. K tells him, "Well, I
  485. 19:08don't know, I don't feel anything
  486. 19:10different, but here is the mirror and
  487. 19:12it shows you where you are." The pastor
  488. 19:15stood in front of the mirror and began
  489. 19:17to recite some prayers of liberation.
  490. 19:20They were prayers of blessing and
  491. 19:22liberation. Remember that pastors
  492. 19:24cannot perform exorcisms as such. K was
  493. 19:27looking at him with great confidence
  494. 19:29that this was going to be the solution
  495. 19:31to all her ills, but she noticed that
  496. 19:33the pastor's face was beginning to
  497. 19:35change. He was turning pale and very
  498. 19:38serious. What happened to this pastor
  499. 19:40was exactly the same as what happened
  500. 19:42to Cai and his daughter. At first his
  501. 19:46reflection was the same, normal, but
  502. 19:48while he was reciting these prayers it
  503. 19:50began to deform. The distorted
  504. 19:54reflection of the pastor was the most
  505. 19:56shocking of the three, because he said
  506. 19:58that his features were twisted. His
  507. 20:01mouth seemed to be frozen in a snarl.
  508. 20:04Despite being shocked, he continued to
  509. 20:07pray, well, for whatever was in this
  510. 20:09mirror to be released. He had already
  511. 20:12performed this type of procedure, let's
  512. 20:14put it that way, on other occasions and
  513. 20:17they had been successful, but in this
  514. 20:19case it was not working, it was not
  515. 20:21working at all. On the contrary, The
  516. 20:24reflection he was seeing of himself as
  517. 20:26he continued praying was becoming
  518. 20:28increasingly distorted. And far from
  519. 20:31just seeing himself and being afraid of
  520. 20:33the reflection, he began to feel that
  521. 20:35something was overwhelming him, so much
  522. 20:36so that it was impossible for him to
  523. 20:38continue. This was already beyond his
  524. 20:41reach and he knew it. The pastor
  525. 20:44apologized to Kai and said, "Look, at
  526. 20:46the end of the day I can't help you. I
  527. 20:49don't know what's here, but I recommend
  528. 20:51that you get rid of this mirror." In
  529. 20:55fact, he emphasized to Kai that time
  530. 20:57was of the essence, that there was
  531. 20:59something evil in this mirror and that
  532. 21:01he needed to get it out of his house
  533. 21:03immediately. Finally, Cae was convinced
  534. 21:06that this had to be done. His daughter
  535. 21:09and the pastor were right. She was the
  536. 21:12only one who was opposed to destroying
  537. 21:14this mirror, so they called a couple of
  538. 21:16places to see where they could
  539. 21:17incinerate all this ornamentation. The
  540. 21:21next day Cae takes the mirror with her
  541. 21:23and as soon as she takes it out of her
  542. 21:25house, she comments that she feels less
  543. 21:27heavy, as if she has lifted a dark
  544. 21:29cloud from her home. When she had this
  545. 21:33feeling of relief, it was at that
  546. 21:35moment that she realized that the
  547. 21:37situation in her house was really
  548. 21:38getting serious. She hadn't noticed
  549. 21:42until that moment how heavy her house
  550. 21:44felt, but when she takes out the mirror
  551. 21:46, everything goes back to normal and
  552. 21:47that's when she notices it. Apparently
  553. 21:51they destroyed it and that's where
  554. 21:53things ended with this family. It
  555. 21:56wasn't like whatever was in the mirror
  556. 21:58was released, it stayed in Cae's house,
  557. 22:00right? When it was destroyed, that's
  558. 22:02where the whole situation ended up
  559. 22:04until, well, today, because this
  560. 22:08happened in 2005. This isn't a story,
  561. 22:11this did happen, it happened in April
  562. 22:132005. So, if we're talking about Kai
  563. 22:15being 50 years old at that time, now
  564. 22:17she must be around 70, but anyway, they
  565. 22:20say that to this day she continues
  566. 22:22doing this, she continues going to
  567. 22:24garage sales, shopping malls and other
  568. 22:26places where she can find antiques.
  569. 22:30Having learned this lesson, she takes
  570. 22:32everything from her house but mirrors.
  571. 22:34And I'm going to show you the real
  572. 22:36image of the mirror here. Apparently,
  573. 22:39you have it here. As much as I searched
  574. 22:42, this is the image they showed
  575. 22:45regarding this mirror, although in
  576. 22:47Kai's story it had cherubs and I don't
  577. 22:50see any here, but anyway, this is the
  578. 22:52closest to what that mirror was. So,
  579. 22:56tell me what you think about this case.
  580. 22:59Would you have a mirror like this in
  581. 23:00your house? Would you take it knowing
  582. 23:02that it is an antique from who knows
  583. 23:04how many years ago and that its
  584. 23:05previous owner recently passed away? Or
  585. 23:08what do you think? And you know that I
  586. 23:09am always reading to you. Just look at
  587. 23:11this beautiful landscape, what
  588. 23:13beautiful water, what beautiful sky,
  589. 23:15trees, what a beautiful island in
  590. 23:16general. It doesn't seem like it's
  591. 23:19called the Island of the Headless Men,
  592. 23:21because it has quite a few headless men
  593. 23:24. This island, this valley is in Canada
  594. 23:28and despite the fact that it is so
  595. 23:29beautiful, people try not to go there.
  596. 23:33In Canada, they have some very curious
  597. 23:35nicknames for their places. For example
  598. 23:38, this is the Valley or Island of the
  599. 23:39Headless Men. There's another one
  600. 23:42called the Island of the Dead Man. But
  601. 23:44they're specifically afraid to go to
  602. 23:46this island for fear of losing their
  603. 23:49heads. And it's because since 1905,
  604. 23:52they've found more than 40 headless men
  605. 23:55. Where did their heads go? No one
  606. 23:58knows. What happened to them? Who took
  607. 24:00their heads? No one knows either. The
  608. 24:03real name of this place is the Nahani
  609. 24:05Valley and it's located in northwest
  610. 24:08Canada. And there are no roads, no
  611. 24:11highways, there really aren't any easy
  612. 24:13ways to get here because it's an
  613. 24:15unexplored area. For the last 100 years
  614. 24:19, it was advised not to travel to this
  615. 24:22area; but recently, in 2023 to be exact
  616. 24:24, a website started talking about this
  617. 24:26place and they said that if they were
  618. 24:28to visit it, they could get there by
  619. 24:30air or by boat, although they consider
  620. 24:32it a challenging place because there's
  621. 24:35nothing, no civilization, the forest is
  622. 24:37completely untouched. They really don't
  623. 24:40know what they might find in this place
  624. 24:41. Imagine how remote this place is from
  625. 24:45everything, the nearest city is 500 km
  626. 24:47away. But getting into the subject of
  627. 24:50the people who unfortunately
  628. 24:52mysteriously lost their heads, let's
  629. 24:54talk about these brothers called the
  630. 24:56Mleot brothers. To understand a little
  631. 24:58bit about why people came to this area,
  632. 25:00they wanted to explore this area, it's
  633. 25:02because it's full of natural resources
  634. 25:05and they were specifically looking for
  635. 25:07gold. So in 1904, these two brothers,
  636. 25:10seeing how everyone was making a lot of
  637. 25:13money from finding gold, ventured to
  638. 25:15this valley. The first time they went
  639. 25:18to this valley they were quite lucky.
  640. 25:21They survived the entire winter in this
  641. 25:23place and returned with quite a bit of
  642. 25:25gold. So they wanted to venture out a
  643. 25:27second time. Unfortunately, they never
  644. 25:30returned from this second trip. They
  645. 25:32were never seen alive again. The other
  646. 25:35relatives of these two brothers didn't
  647. 25:37know what had happened to them, they
  648. 25:39simply hadn't returned. So the third
  649. 25:41brother of these two brothers traveled
  650. 25:43to the same island to see what was
  651. 25:45happening, to see if he could discover
  652. 25:47something. And yes, he did. He found
  653. 25:51his two brothers without heads, but the
  654. 25:53way he found them made it seem like
  655. 25:55they hadn't been fighting for their
  656. 25:57lives. They were lying there peacefully
  657. 26:02next to what appeared to be a campfire,
  658. 26:04located right outside of a small cabin
  659. 26:06that they had constructed. The first
  660. 26:09thing they thought was that maybe some
  661. 26:11wild animal had attacked them, which
  662. 26:13didn't make much sense because why
  663. 26:14would it just take the head and not eat
  664. 26:16the rest of the body, since the rest of
  665. 26:18the bodies of the two brothers were
  666. 26:19intact? Also, another detail is that it
  667. 26:23didn't look like the head had been torn
  668. 26:25off, okay? I mean, the body wasn't
  669. 26:28injured. Another thing they thought was
  670. 26:31that maybe a third person realized that
  671. 26:34they were returning with a lot of gold,
  672. 26:36followed them, discovered where they
  673. 26:38were getting the gold, and decided to
  674. 26:40take their lives; which would make a
  675. 26:42little sense if it weren't for what
  676. 26:44happened next, since a few years later
  677. 26:46they would realize that the death of
  678. 26:48these two brothers would be just the
  679. 26:50beginning of what was going to happen.
  680. 26:53In 1917, a man named Martin went to
  681. 26:56this valley for the same reason, to
  682. 26:59look for gold. He said goodbye to his
  683. 27:01family with great hope and told them, "
  684. 27:04When I get back, we're going to be rich
  685. 27:06." However, Martin never returned. Some
  686. 27:10time later, someone else went to this
  687. 27:11island. They found Martin's body, the
  688. 27:14same, without a head, next to a cabin
  689. 27:17that had burned down. The strangest
  690. 27:19thing is that there was no gold in that
  691. 27:21place. Apparently he never found any.
  692. 27:24At this point, there were a lot of
  693. 27:26theories and they all said more or less
  694. 27:28the same thing, like, "Surely someone
  695. 27:30knows, lives on this island and doesn't
  696. 27:33want their gold taken." So far, it
  697. 27:35would make sense if it weren't for what
  698. 27:37happened next. "In 1927, another man
  699. 27:40known as Yukon arrived in this valley
  700. 27:43and, curiously enough, this was pure
  701. 27:45coincidence, he set up camp right where
  702. 27:48they had found the bodies of these two
  703. 27:51brothers. When they saw that he hadn't
  704. 27:54returned, they went to look for him and
  705. 27:55found him in the same way. He was only
  706. 27:58there from the neck down next to a
  707. 28:00burned down cabin. In 1928, a house
  708. 28:03party was being organized to go to this
  709. 28:06valley and a man named Angus decided to
  710. 28:08go ahead a couple of days just to
  711. 28:10explore the island before the group
  712. 28:12arrived. He was never seen again. When
  713. 28:16the house party arrived, they found him
  714. 28:18the same way, without a head. In 1936,
  715. 28:21two explorers went to this valley. They
  716. 28:24never returned. Then they went looking
  717. 28:26for them and this time they didn't find
  718. 28:28a head or a body, they were simply
  719. 28:30nowhere to be found. Here we are
  720. 28:32talking about the fact that these last
  721. 28:34three people were no longer looking for
  722. 28:35gold. If that was the main theory that
  723. 28:38they were taking their lives so that
  724. 28:39they wouldn't take the gold, they
  725. 28:41weren't taking any gold here at all.
  726. 28:43And that's where they started to think,
  727. 28:45well, why are these people dying this
  728. 28:47way? Because it could be that some of
  729. 28:50them die because the weather is quite
  730. 28:52cold up there in Canada in the winter
  731. 28:54or something in nature, but to take
  732. 28:56their heads off, why? And if this
  733. 28:59head-snatching wasn't strange enough,
  734. 29:02there are other equally inexplicable
  735. 29:05events. It turns out that in 1926 a
  736. 29:08girl named Annie went with a group of
  737. 29:10homeless people to this valley. Early
  738. 29:13one morning, the men woke up to find
  739. 29:15that Annie was nowhere to be found.
  740. 29:19They immediately began searching around
  741. 29:21where they were, but they couldn't find
  742. 29:23her, and this search continued for
  743. 29:24weeks. Finally, during those weeks of
  744. 29:29searching, a man saw Annie running on
  745. 29:32all fours up a very steep cliff. She
  746. 29:36had no clothes on, even though it was
  747. 29:38winter, and her eyes looked extremely
  748. 29:41crazy. And she was in such bad shape, I
  749. 29:44mean, the state in which they saw her
  750. 29:46was so strange, that the men who were
  751. 29:48looking for her feared for her safety
  752. 29:50and abandoned her there to her fate.
  753. 29:53They made no attempt to follow her,
  754. 29:54help her, ask her what she was doing,
  755. 29:56why she was running around on all fours
  756. 29:57without clothes, and so on. They simply
  757. 30:00left. In 1945, there was another
  758. 30:04unidentified victim who was also
  759. 30:06discovered without a head, still inside
  760. 30:09her sleeping bag. The head was never
  761. 30:13found. Around the same time, they found
  762. 30:16another man named John, also headless.
  763. 30:20The strange thing here was the
  764. 30:22positions of the bodies, because they
  765. 30:24found this man, John, headless, but in
  766. 30:26his hand he had something like a match
  767. 30:28that he was trying to light. That's how
  768. 30:31his body ended up. To this day, 44
  769. 30:34deaths and unexplained disappearances
  770. 30:37have been confirmed. This has happened
  771. 30:40since around 1905, and all of them were
  772. 30:43experienced. Don't think that they just
  773. 30:46woke up one day and said," No, let's
  774. 30:47set up camp in this valley. "No,
  775. 30:49because first of all, it wasn't easy to
  776. 30:51get to this place, much less in those
  777. 30:53years. Some people tried to discredit
  778. 30:56all these strange deaths, but
  779. 30:58everything they said, all the theories
  780. 31:00they put forward lacked evidence,
  781. 31:02because everything they said," Okay,
  782. 31:04that was all very well, but where were
  783. 31:06the heads? Why were they taking the
  784. 31:08heads off these people? That was
  785. 31:10inexplicable. Especially Anni, this
  786. 31:13woman, who suddenly turned wild. "And
  787. 31:16that wasn't the only thing that
  788. 31:18happened. Because the unexplained plane
  789. 31:21crashes began. Also in 1962, there were
  790. 31:24two very strange plane crashes in which
  791. 31:26the plane was flying as if nothing had
  792. 31:28happened, without any faults, and when
  793. 31:30they were passing over this valley, it
  794. 31:32simply crashed. Of these two incidents,
  795. 31:35the first pilot did survive because he
  796. 31:37had access to food and water that he
  797. 31:39had brought on his plane. The second
  798. 31:41pilot apparently remained there for
  799. 31:43about 42 days, during which time he
  800. 31:45wrote in a diary about his day-to-day
  801. 31:48life. On day 43, he abruptly stopped
  802. 31:52writing. No remains or anything was
  803. 31:54ever found that could tell what
  804. 31:56happened to this pilot. They found the
  805. 31:58crashed plane, they found his
  806. 32:00belongings, they found the diary, but
  807. 32:02not a clue as to what happened to this
  808. 32:04pilot. Now, the D tribe, who were
  809. 32:06natives of this region, think they know
  810. 32:08what's happening to all these people.
  811. 32:11Wait, I'm being attacked by a white
  812. 32:14piranha.
  813. 32:18Oh. This tribe claimed that there were
  814. 32:21creatures they called Nakani and that
  815. 32:24they, these creatures, were the ones
  816. 32:26who chased these tribes from that place
  817. 32:28. They describe them as terrifying wild
  818. 32:33men with red eyes and enormous height,
  819. 32:35completely covered in long hair who
  820. 32:37leave human footprints three feet long
  821. 32:40and could pull trees out of the ground
  822. 32:42with their bare hands, roots and all.
  823. 32:45So, what really lurks in this valley?
  824. 32:48Maybe it's a mystery that will remain
  825. 32:51hidden forever, but anyway, tell me
  826. 32:53what you think and I'll read them as
  827. 32:55always. Some puppets move. This one
  828. 32:59breathed. Oh, how horrible. Within my
  829. 33:03top dolls that I hate the most, number
  830. 33:06one are the ventriloquist dolls in the
  831. 33:08files of unsolved cases of the Chicago
  832. 33:11Police Department, there's this doll
  833. 33:14that we're going to call Mr. Smiles in
  834. 33:16Spanish. Of those unsolved cases that
  835. 33:20the police have, the most mysterious is
  836. 33:22that of the owner of this doll named
  837. 33:24Frank Dawson. Veteran detectives would
  838. 33:28occasionally talk about this
  839. 33:31inexplicable case. It turned out that
  840. 33:35Frank Dawson had been a well-known
  841. 33:37ventriloist in the field for at least
  842. 33:3930 years. All of his performances were
  843. 33:42impressive. Every time he gave a show,
  844. 33:44the place would be packed. At first,
  845. 33:48his fellow ventriloists began to feel a
  846. 33:50bit of envy and jealousy, because they
  847. 33:53always sought out his shows, but there
  848. 33:55came a point where they began to
  849. 33:57suspect that there was something much
  850. 34:00darker behind these performances. They
  851. 34:03felt it, they talked about it among
  852. 34:05themselves, but they couldn't really
  853. 34:07define what it was that they were
  854. 34:08feeling. Even so, they recognized that
  855. 34:11Frank had a brilliant talent. Despite
  856. 34:14this, Frank didn't get along very well
  857. 34:17with his colleagues; in fact, he was
  858. 34:19increasingly isolated. It turned out
  859. 34:23that at a ventriloquist competition,
  860. 34:25Frank Dawson met a 26-year-old boy
  861. 34:27named Thomas Aguirre. Thomas was
  862. 34:30talented, ambitious, and also
  863. 34:32desperately wanted to enter the
  864. 34:34professional ventriloquist field. At
  865. 34:38the time they met, as I said, Thomas
  866. 34:40was 26 and Frank was 47. When the two
  867. 34:43of them met, Frank's reputation was on
  868. 34:46the decline because he had changed a
  869. 34:48lot. His performances were actually a
  870. 34:52bit strange. Despite that, people still
  871. 34:54recognized that he had perfect
  872. 34:56techniques. At the moment that they met
  873. 34:58, they shook hands, exchanged a few
  874. 35:00words, and held a discussion regarding
  875. 35:02various techniques. Frank gave Thomas a
  876. 35:04couple of tips and they got along very
  877. 35:07well. Frank continued to do his
  878. 35:10performances and with him he had a new
  879. 35:12puppet called Mr. Smiles. This Mr.
  880. 35:14Smiles was like his sixth puppet, but
  881. 35:17this Mr. Smiles was different. First of
  882. 35:21all, it was handmade from a rare wood
  883. 35:23brought from Brazil. The joints, for
  884. 35:27example, of the neck with the rest of
  885. 35:29the body, the hands with the arms and,
  886. 35:31you know, all of this was hand-carved,
  887. 35:33which made it move with an almost
  888. 35:34unnatural precision. This puppet made
  889. 35:38its debut in 1991 with Frank. If
  890. 35:43Frank's reputation was already in
  891. 35:45decline, with this new puppet the
  892. 35:47situation began to worsen because the
  893. 35:50audience began to say that something
  894. 35:52was strange. First of all, it seemed
  895. 35:56that the puppet's movements anticipated
  896. 35:58Frank's gestures. People could notice
  897. 36:02that the glass eyes of this puppet,
  898. 36:04even though Frank wasn't moving them,
  899. 36:07the puppet moved its eyes as if it were
  900. 36:09watching everyone in the audience. And,
  901. 36:12if someone caught its attention, it
  902. 36:14would stare at them; and it was
  903. 36:16noticeable from afar that Frank wasn't
  904. 36:18moving the puppet when he did this with
  905. 36:20his eyes. The audience began to get
  906. 36:23scared, but professional critics said,"
  907. 36:26He has an almost magical technique. "
  908. 36:28But those who really knew Frank knew
  909. 36:30that something much more complex was
  910. 36:33happening to him because he wasn't
  911. 36:35himself at all anymore. Until one day,
  912. 36:39in 1992, just a year after Mr. Smiles
  913. 36:42premiered, it was reported that Frank
  914. 36:44had died, and in a rather strange way,
  915. 36:47according to forensic reports. First of
  916. 36:52all, they said that Frank had died
  917. 36:54because he had quite severe arterial
  918. 36:57damage inside his throat, as if he had
  919. 37:01been hit quite violently. They also
  920. 37:05noticed that on his hand, which was
  921. 37:07precisely the hand he used to
  922. 37:09manipulate his dolls, he had a kind of
  923. 37:11skin graft, but this skin was neither
  924. 37:13human nor animal. Furthermore, this
  925. 37:16graft had a surgical precision that not
  926. 37:19even the most experienced doctors could
  927. 37:21achieve. On top of that, there was no
  928. 37:24record in any hospital, anywhere, that
  929. 37:26Frank had had that graft or for what
  930. 37:29purpose. When Thomas found out that
  931. 37:32Frank had died, he decided to go to the
  932. 37:34Chicago police to tell them a couple of
  933. 37:36strange details that he noticed about
  934. 37:38Frank the time they met. He told them
  935. 37:42that he saw him inject a substance into
  936. 37:45the hand he used to manipulate the
  937. 37:47dolls where he had the graft while
  938. 37:49whispering something like it was
  939. 37:51getting stronger. This substance that
  940. 37:55he was injecting himself was to numb
  941. 37:56the area. He also told them about some
  942. 38:00rather strange comments that Frank made
  943. 38:03, which Thomas took at the time as a
  944. 38:05joke, that he simply didn't want to
  945. 38:08tell him certain techniques because
  946. 38:10Frank told Thomas that he believed that
  947. 38:13his puppet was developing its own
  948. 38:15consciousness and that it was thinking
  949. 38:18independently. What Thomas didn't tell
  950. 38:22the police was that for months he had
  951. 38:24been recording all of Frank's shows in
  952. 38:26order to study them in private. And in
  953. 38:30those recordings that were later
  954. 38:32recovered, you can see how Frank
  955. 38:35becomes silent at times and seems to be
  956. 38:38listening to a voice that only he hears
  957. 38:40. This led to some rather uncomfortable
  958. 38:43moments of silence during the show,
  959. 38:45which made the audience dislike him and
  960. 38:48that's why his reputation was falling.
  961. 38:50But there was a very strange detail,
  962. 38:53and that is that Frank inherited Mr.
  963. 38:56Smiles from Thomas. Once Thomas
  964. 38:58inherited this puppet, he decided to
  965. 39:00start doing shows as well. And when he
  966. 39:04began doing shows, his fame began to
  967. 39:06grow quite quickly because his shows
  968. 39:08were also impressive. The puppet's
  969. 39:11movements were so fluid that it seemed
  970. 39:14a bit grotesque. I mean, it was scary
  971. 39:18watching them and also his colleagues
  972. 39:20said that no matter what technique he
  973. 39:22was using, it wasn't ventriloquism. In
  974. 39:26fact, as the shows went on, I could
  975. 39:28tell that Thomas himself was quite
  976. 39:30uncomfortable doing the show. He seemed
  977. 39:34humorless, quite stiff. However, the
  978. 39:37puppet moved in a way that was, let me
  979. 39:39tell you, quite fluid. But Thomas's
  980. 39:41fame was growing rapidly and they were
  981. 39:43giving him bigger and bigger shows. He
  982. 39:47had one in a fairly important theater
  983. 39:50in Chicago and there the witnesses who
  984. 39:52were watching the show said that at
  985. 39:55first Thomas was stiff, quite serious,
  986. 39:57then he started to get quite agitated.
  987. 40:01His movements were abrupt,
  988. 40:03uncoordinated, as if he wasn't really
  989. 40:06aware of what he was doing. But
  990. 40:09everything got out of control halfway
  991. 40:10through the show when Thomas started
  992. 40:12screaming that something was spreading
  993. 40:14through his arm. People didn't know
  994. 40:17whether to laugh or take him seriously,
  995. 40:19because after all, it was a
  996. 40:21ventriloquist show. But then Thomas
  997. 40:24stands up, throws the puppet, runs off
  998. 40:27the stage, and the arm that he was
  999. 40:29holding the puppet with was bent in a
1000. 40:31way that was humanly impossible. After
1001. 40:35he ran off the show, he disappeared.
1002. 40:38They never heard from him again and
1003. 40:40nobody ever filed a report that he was
1004. 40:43a missing person. Not a family member,
1005. 40:45not a friend, no one. The United States
  1006. 40:48does some much more in-depth
1007. 40:49investigations, so as part of their
  1008. 40:51investigation, they went to Thomas '
1009. 40:53apartment to see if there was any clue
1010. 40:55as to what had happened to him. In his
1011. 40:57apartment, they found normal things
1012. 41:01like costumes for his shows and there
1013. 41:04was a diary with only one page written
1014. 41:07in it that said," He's not a puppet, he
1015. 41:11never was, and now he wants a bigger
1016. 41:14stage. "And you know what the worst
1017. 41:16part is, with all the hustle and bustle
1018. 41:18that was going on, when Thomas comes
1019. 41:20out screaming with his arm all bent up
1020. 41:22weirdly, people get scared, they get up
1021. 41:24, they try to go. Mr. Smiley went
1022. 41:27missing and to this day, no one knows
1023. 41:29where he is, who has him or what. This
1024. 41:32happened decades ago and for decades
1025. 41:35this case has remained unsolved.
1026. 41:37Despite the fact that experts, you know
1027. 41:40, researchers, forensic experts and
1028. 41:42others, analyzed the graft that Frank
1029. 41:44had. They couldn't say where the graft
  1030. 41:48came from, why Thomas disappeared. I
1031. 41:51had no idea about anything. These
  1032. 41:53photos are representative, they're not
1033. 41:55Mr. Smiles as such, but you know that
1034. 41:57all ventriloquists are like that with
1035. 42:00their square mouth, their eyes move,
1036. 42:02right? How horrible. So, well, tell me
1037. 42:05what you think and you can't convince
  1038. 42:07me otherwise, because I believe that
  1039. 42:09these dolls really do move. I don't
1040. 42:11care if they're good, bad or whatever,
1041. 42:13for me they do move. But hey, you know
  1042. 42:15that I'm always reading them. The
1043. 42:17Warrens said that the Annabelle doll
1044. 42:20shouldn't move. She was originally in
1045. 42:23Connecott, in their museum, which used
1046. 42:26to be their home, and they recently
1047. 42:28moved her to New Orleans, right there
1048. 42:30in the United States. The day after
1049. 42:33Annabelle arrived in New Orleans, this
  1050. 42:35happened. A plantation that had been
  1051. 42:37built since 1859 burned down. Total
  1052. 42:40destruction. Coincidentally, some think
1053. 42:43so, some think not, that it all had to
1054. 42:46do with Annabel being taken to New
1055. 42:48Orleans. Some think that this was a
1056. 42:52brutal historical loss. Now, why did
1057. 42:55they take the doll out of its place?
1058. 42:57It's the first time we've seen it leave
1059. 42:59Conenicot. They had closed the museum
1060. 43:00and according to what I had read on the
1061. 43:02internet, they were going to move it
1062. 43:04either to Los Angeles or New York. And
1063. 43:06it was to be expected that the things
1064. 43:08that were in the original museum were
1065. 43:09going to be moved to that other state.
1066. 43:12But what's happening this time is that
1067. 43:14they're doing a kind of advance tour
1068. 43:17for the new Annabel movie. So it's
1069. 43:19going to be going all over the United
1070. 43:21States. First it was in New Orleans and
1071. 43:23the second place it's going to is San
1072. 43:25Antonio, Texas. And with what happened,
1073. 43:27the people of San Antonio are saying,"
1074. 43:29No, take her home, we don't want her
1075. 43:31here. "Even a paranormal expert who is
1076. 43:34a presenter, has several shows, was
1077. 43:36invited to take the box with Annabel to
1078. 43:39the place where they were going to
1079. 43:41present it and he mentioned that the
1080. 43:43energy is definitely different. The
1081. 43:46guys from the New England Society for
1082. 43:48Psychical Research invited me to take
1083. 43:51the doll. I'm not going to lie, I was
1084. 43:54saying prayers to God the whole time.
1085. 43:57Annabel is not the only object that is
1086. 43:58being exhibited. There are two other
1087. 44:00objects from the Warren museum that are
1088. 44:02also accompanying her. But this was not
1089. 44:05the only misfortune that happened when
1090. 44:07Annabel arrived in New Orleans. In
1091. 44:10addition to this burning, the sheriff
  1092. 44:13said and reported that 11 prisoners
1093. 44:15considered dangerous had escaped from
1094. 44:17the jail. Apparently they escaped on
1095. 44:21Friday morning when we are talking
1096. 44:22about Annabel arriving in New Orleans
1097. 44:24about three days ago. Today as I record
1098. 44:26this is Sunday. So right after she
1099. 44:29arrived these types of things started
  1100. 44:31happening and they kind of didn't
1101. 44:33realize how they escaped. They simply
  1102. 44:36do a daily count between 8 and 8:30 in
  1103. 44:38the morning and that's when they
  1104. 44:40realized that 11 prisoners who are
  1105. 44:42considered dangerous were missing.
1106. 44:45Users on different platforms posted
  1107. 44:47Anabel arrives in New Orleans, a
  1108. 44:48historic house burns down and 11
  1109. 44:50inmates escape from prison. Now she's
1110. 44:53in San Antonio because she just arrived
1111. 44:55waiting. Go home, Anabel. We don't want
1112. 44:57your company. Since at first the
1113. 44:59tickets to see Anabel were selling out
  1114. 45:01quickly because she's considered one of
1115. 45:03the dolls, in fact, one of the most
1116. 45:04dangerous objects in the world of the
1117. 45:06paranormal. But when this started,
1118. 45:09there was no longer any excitement, but
1119. 45:11rather panic. Another user mentioned,"
1120. 45:14Three days ago they moved Anabel, one
1121. 45:16of the most haunted dolls from
1122. 45:18Conenicot to New Orleans. And now the
1123. 45:21plantation, which is this one, uh,
  1124. 45:23burned down. 11 inmates escaped. Didn't
1125. 45:26the Warrens say she should never be
  1126. 45:28moved? "And that's exactly what they
1127. 45:30said. It should be noted that all of
1128. 45:33this is speculation, since the sheriff
1129. 45:36and New Orleans authorities have not
1130. 45:38said how these prisoners escaped, nor
1131. 45:41have they confirmed how the building
1132. 45:43ended up burning. However, it seems
1133. 45:47like there are many coincidences that
1134. 45:49as soon as she arrived, all this began
1135. 45:52to unfold, and it wasn't just one
1136. 45:54serious incident, but two. So I guess
1137. 45:57we'll have to wait and see if something
1138. 45:59happens in San Antonio to see if she's
1139. 46:01really the one doing it. And I also
1140. 46:04know that there are many speculations
1141. 46:05about the Warrens. Some think that it
1142. 46:07was all a hoax, that all their cases
1143. 46:09were a hoax, that they were set up,
1144. 46:10that they were famous, and so on. It
1145. 46:13all depends on each person, but I have
1146. 46:15a question for you. If you knew that a
1147. 46:17doll was related to several people who
1148. 46:19lost their lives, would you be
1149. 46:21comfortable around it or not? Leave
1150. 46:23aside for a moment who discovered it,
1151. 46:25who possesses it, and who told the
1152. 46:27story. If you knew this information,
1153. 46:29you would be comfortable around it. So,
1154. 46:31tell me what you think about all this,
1155. 46:34and as always, I'm reading to you. Many
1156. 46:37years ago, while a woman was giving
1157. 46:39birth to her twelfth child, she said,"
1158. 46:41If I have one more child, this one will
1159. 46:43be the devil himself. "What do you
1160. 46:46think happened when she had her
  1161. 46:48thirteenth child? You can't even
1162. 46:50imagine. Well, it turns out that in
1163. 46:531735 a woman named Deborah Leditz was
1164. 46:56giving birth to her thirteenth child,
1165. 46:58surrounded by all her acquaintances who
1166. 47:00were watching her closely. Supposedly,
1167. 47:04Deborah Litz was a witch and her
1168. 47:06husband was the devil himself. The baby
  1169. 47:09was born without complications.
1170. 47:12Apparently it was a normal birth, but
1171. 47:15then that baby began to change shape,
  1172. 47:17since the baby's little body
  1173. 47:19transformed into a creature with hooves
1174. 47:22. Its head elongated to such an extent
1175. 47:26that it looked like the head of a horse
1176. 47:28. Wings that looked like bats sprouted
1177. 47:31from its back, and finally it grew a
1178. 47:33tail. This creature, because it could
1179. 47:36no longer be called a baby, stopped
1180. 47:39crying and began to growl. This newborn
1181. 47:42demon took the life of the midwife who
1182. 47:44brought it into the world and escaped
1183. 47:46through the chimney of the house. After
1184. 47:50escaping, it continued flying in
1185. 47:52circles around the entire village and
1186. 47:54finally headed into the forest where it
1187. 47:56was lost. The residents of this village
1188. 48:00, fearful of this creature, asked the
1189. 48:02local minister to exorcise this baby,
1190. 48:05this newborn creature. The minister
1191. 48:08actually tried after performing this
1192. 48:10ritual on the creature, he told the
1193. 48:13villagers that it would only be
1194. 48:15effective for a century, no more. After
1195. 48:18that century, the creature would return
1196. 48:20and they would have to figure out what
1197. 48:21else to do. But the Jersey Devil, as
1198. 48:25you might call it, returned twice
1199. 48:27before that century was up. After those
1200. 48:31100 years had passed since the exorcism
1201. 48:33was performed, the sightings of this
1202. 48:35creature only increased. Now, since
1203. 48:39this story happened a long time ago,
1204. 48:41there were doubts about whether these
1205. 48:44people actually existed until they
  1206. 48:46found a document where Deborah's
1207. 48:48husband listed 12 children in his will,
1208. 48:51despite having had 13. Imagine if their
1209. 48:54newborn baby ended up becoming this
1210. 48:56strange creature. If the village where
1211. 49:00this Jersey Devil was born was already
1212. 49:02isolated, this made it even more so.
1213. 49:06And, taking advantage of the fact that
1214. 49:08people no longer wanted to go near this
1215. 49:11area for fear of encountering the
  1216. 49:13Jersey Devil, it became a natural
  1217. 49:15refuge for criminals, thieves,
1218. 49:17fugitives and others who used furs to
1219. 49:19make themselves look like the Jersey
1220. 49:21Devil and avoid being captured. Note
1221. 49:25that the first accredited testimonies
1222. 49:27of sightings of this creature were from
1223. 49:29pre-colonial times to the present day.
1224. 49:33There are still reports of this
1225. 49:35creature having been seen, although
1226. 49:37they are not as strong as they used to
1227. 49:39be. According to people who have seen
1228. 49:42this creature, it is described as
1229. 49:44having the body of a kangaroo with bat
1230. 49:47wings, pig legs, and a forked tail. Its
1231. 49:51head is like that of a dog, but its
1232. 49:52face is elongated like that of a horse.
1233. 49:55The size of the creature depends on who
1234. 49:57has seen it. Some say it is 180 meters
1235. 50:01tall and others 5 to 6 meters. It is
1236. 50:05also said that it is not affected by
1237. 50:08bullets. Other people have said that it
1238. 50:11has bright red eyes and that it emits a
1239. 50:14sound like a fairly loud screech, which
1240. 50:16is strong enough to paralyze whoever it
1241. 50:18is that happens to be looking at it
1242. 50:20right now. You are not paralyzed by the
1243. 50:23fear of having this creature in front
1244. 50:24of you, you are paralyzed by the sound
1245. 50:26it makes. As the story grew, the
1246. 50:29villagers became more afraid of it
1247. 50:31because it took large animals, such as
1248. 50:33very large breed dogs, cows, gazelles,
1249. 50:36anything they had. This creature could
1250. 50:40take them away, if it could take a cow
1251. 50:42that was in its way to take a child,
1252. 50:44which happened on certain occasions. It
1253. 50:47would take them away and obviously they
1254. 50:50were never seen again, just like the
1255. 50:52animals it stole. And if people were
1256. 50:55lucky enough for the Jersey Devil not
1257. 50:56to steal their animals, but only to get
1258. 50:58onto their property, their farm, their
1259. 51:00home, it was said that it was capable
1260. 51:02of drying up the milk of the cows just
1261. 51:04by breathing on them. If you had a pond
1262. 51:07and this creature was nearby, all your
1263. 51:09fish would go to the other world. Why
1264. 51:12was this dangerous? Because if it was
1265. 51:14capable of doing this just by its
1266. 51:16presence, then it was dangerous for the
  1267. 51:18entire population. Now let's go with
1268. 51:21some of the most important sightings,
1269. 51:23because don't think that they were just
1270. 51:26ordinary, common people, but of
1271. 51:27important people, important people who
1272. 51:29left written records of their
1273. 51:31encounters with it. One of them was a
1274. 51:35naval hero in the 1800s named Steven
1275. 51:38Decur. He claimed to have been in the
  1276. 51:42countryside and noticed a strange
1277. 51:44creature flying around, so he shot off
1278. 51:46one of its wings. It hit its wings, so
1279. 51:49it hurt it, but the creature kept
1280. 51:51flying as if nothing had happened.
  1281. 51:53Years later, Napoleon Bonaparte's
1282. 51:56brother, Joseph Bonaparte, had an
1283. 51:59encounter with the Jersey Devil. He
1284. 52:03said he was hunting and had already
  1285. 52:04brought a few animals when he spotted a
1286. 52:06strange creature. He chased it, shot at
1287. 52:09it, and it didn't do anything to him.
1288. 52:13So he went back to file his report with
1289. 52:15the authorities, and that made the
1290. 52:17whole story much more believable. Also,
1291. 52:20people reported seeing this creature.
  1292. 52:23It wasn't unusual for the authorities
1293. 52:25anymore. They already knew what
1294. 52:26creature they were referring to. But
1295. 52:28when Joseph Bonaparte goes and says,"
  1296. 52:30Hey, I came across this creature, "I
1297. 52:32tell you, it gains much more
1298. 52:33credibility. These were the two
  1299. 52:36sightings that occurred between the 100
1300. 52:38years that the minister said would pass
1301. 52:40before the creature returned. And when
  1302. 52:43the 100 years passed, the creature
1303. 52:45returned just like that. It spread
1304. 52:47total terror throughout the region. It
1305. 52:50would appear at night, take all the
1306. 52:52livestock, and children. So much so
1307. 52:55that everyone would lock themselves in
1308. 52:57their homes before the sun went down
1309. 52:59and put a flashlight outside the door
1310. 53:01in an attempt to scare it away.
1311. 53:03Starting this year, many attacks by
1312. 53:05this creature have been reported.
1313. 53:08Thousands of people reported seeing it
1314. 53:10and finding its footprints on their
1315. 53:12property, and the fear was so great
1316. 53:14that schools and businesses began to
1317. 53:16close. Before, the fear was of going
1318. 53:19out after the sun had set, but at this
1319. 53:22point people refused to leave their
1320. 53:24homes at any time of day for fear of
1321. 53:26encountering it. The nights were
1322. 53:28chilling for everyone, but there were
1323. 53:31still people who had to be out on the
1324. 53:33streets, like the police. On one
1325. 53:36occasion, a policeman was on his night
1326. 53:38shift patrolling the city when he
1327. 53:40entered an alley and came across this
1328. 53:42creature. It let out a terrible scream,
1329. 53:47enough to scare the policeman. He took
  1330. 53:50out his self-defense device, shot the
  1331. 53:52creature several times, but didn't hit
1332. 53:54any of them. So the creature spread its
1333. 53:57enormous wings and disappeared into the
  1334. 54:00night sky. A policeman made a report of
1335. 54:03having seen this creature. So it was
1336. 54:05believable that it was indeed out there
1337. 54:07. Later, a mailman said that at about 2
1338. 54:10a.m. he heard what seemed to be a
1339. 54:12rather strange sound. He looked out his
1340. 54:14window and saw this creature near his
1341. 54:17pond making very strange noises. The
1342. 54:20sightings of this creature continued
  1343. 54:22until the year 1909, when a couple woke
1344. 54:25up very early in the morning because
1345. 54:27they heard strange noises coming from
1346. 54:30the roof of their house. Do you see the
1347. 54:33creature? They described it as having
1348. 54:36the face of a dog and the head of a
1349. 54:38horse. It had a long neck with large
1350. 54:41wings and hind legs similar to those of
1351. 54:43a crane with horse hooves. It also had
1352. 54:46two small claws on the upper part of
1353. 54:48its torso and just like it appeared out
1354. 54:50of nowhere, it was gone. In 927 there
1355. 54:54was another sighting when a taxi driver
1356. 54:56was driving down the road, he got a
1357. 54:58flat tire, he got out to change it and
1358. 55:00then his car shook violently and when
1359. 55:03he looked up he saw this creature on
1360. 55:05the roof. He ran to his car, no longer
1361. 55:08caring that his tire was flat, and went
1362. 55:11to the police to tell them that this
1363. 55:13creature was in the area again. From
1364. 55:17there there was another important
1365. 55:19sighting in 1961. From there we move on
1366. 55:22to 1987 and then to 1993. This last one
1367. 55:27was of a park ranger. He was doing his
1368. 55:30guard duty when he noticed a creature
1369. 55:32blocking his way and it was exactly
1370. 55:35that, the same description. And now
1371. 55:39there have been more sightings, but we
1372. 55:41are more advanced in technology,
1373. 55:43everything is very well lit, everything
1374. 55:46is marked, so there are not as many as
1375. 55:48before, so it is believed that the
1376. 55:50devil was forced to hide from
1377. 55:52civilization. Ever since this creature
1378. 55:55was born and all the sightings that
1379. 55:57there were, there were always doubts
1380. 55:59about whether it existed or not. The
1381. 56:01strange thing about this case was that,
1382. 56:03for example, since it was born it was
1383. 56:05registered that it was born and only 12
1384. 56:07were mentioned in the will and then all
1385. 56:09the people who saw them were
1386. 56:11respectable people, it was not like any
1387. 56:13other kid from the neighborhood, as
1388. 56:14they say out there. So, well, tell me
1389. 56:17what you think of this creature. Is it
1390. 56:19like the chupacabra but from the United
1391. 56:21States or what do you think? And you
1392. 56:23know that I am always like you. As you
1393. 56:25know, all the elementary schools in
1394. 56:27Mexico were built on top of cemeteries,
  1395. 56:29abandoned hospitals. In my case, a
1396. 56:31cemetery of clowns who would come out
1397. 56:33of the apartment at midnight. A ghost
1398. 56:36almost always appears in the last
1399. 56:38bathroom of every Mexican school. Now,
1400. 56:42imagine that in addition to that, in
1401. 56:44Coahuila, in a school in Coahuila, they
1402. 56:46had to deal with a cursed doll that
1403. 56:48would appear, even if they threw it in
1404. 56:50the trash or took it somewhere else to
1405. 56:52throw it away, it would always return
1406. 56:54to the classroom. This happened exactly
1407. 56:58in San Pedro, Coahuila, at the Allende
1408. 57:00Federal School, which was built more
1409. 57:02than 100 years ago. It was closed for a
  1410. 57:05time, according to what I investigated,
1411. 57:07because it was affected by the flooding
1412. 57:10of the Nasas River and it reopened in
1413. 57:121991. But before it was closed and
1414. 57:15after it reopened, teachers, students,
1415. 57:17and other workers at that school
  1416. 57:20remember having experienced certain
  1417. 57:22strange things, supernatural
  1418. 57:24experiences that left everyone
  1419. 57:26completely terrified and confused.
1420. 57:29Since former students of this school
1421. 57:31perfectly remember how the janitor
1422. 57:33would take a doll out of the classroom
1423. 57:36every day. It was an old doll, they
1424. 57:38don't remember exactly what it looked
1425. 57:40like, but it was either made of ceramic
1426. 57:41or one of those materials that dolls
1427. 57:43were made of in the past. As I was
1428. 57:45saying, the janitor would take it out,
1429. 57:47take it to the trash, throw it away,
1430. 57:49and this would happen every day with
1431. 57:51the same doll. What was surprising was
1432. 57:54how it would return to school, because
1433. 57:56they would throw it in the trash. The
1434. 57:59trash would be taken away and how it
1435. 58:01would return to the school every day.
1436. 58:05At first, the children didn't give much
1437. 58:08importance to this fact, let's say; but
1438. 58:10as time went by, it began to affect the
1439. 58:12entire student, work, and other
1440. 58:14environments, because they began to
1441. 58:16feel strange, since the first people
1442. 58:18who arrived at the school said that
1443. 58:20when they found the doll in the
1444. 58:22classrooms, they saw it moving, since
1445. 58:24some claimed that it was walking, and
1446. 58:26others who entered the classroom could
1447. 58:29feel that the doll was following them
1448. 58:31with its gaze. The teachers, who felt
1449. 58:34that the doll was watching them,
  1450. 58:36obviously didn't want anything to do
1451. 58:37with the children so as not to upset
1452. 58:39them. But later the children began to
1453. 58:41say the same thing. This situation grew
1454. 58:44so much that all the students were
  1455. 58:46restless, some even didn't want to
1456. 58:48return to school because of it, and it
1457. 58:50was decided to take some more extreme
1458. 58:52measures. They realized that by getting
1459. 58:55rid of the doll, throwing it away,
1460. 58:56taking it somewhere else, or giving it
1461. 58:58away to someone, it would always return
1462. 59:00to school. So they decided to burn it
  1463. 59:03in a fire-like ritual that, in addition
1464. 59:06to freeing the doll from whatever was
1465. 59:08possessing it, whatever was tied to the
1466. 59:10school, would purify the entire
1467. 59:12atmosphere of the place. Since at this
1468. 59:16point, there was a strong rumor that
1469. 59:18there was an evil presence that was
1470. 59:20actually moving the doll around the
1471. 59:22school. After this fire ritual they
1472. 59:25performed, peace apparently returned to
1473. 59:27the school. The students were much
1474. 59:30calmer, as were the teachers. I think
1475. 59:33it's this school, according to what I
1476. 59:35found on the internet, but if you're
1477. 59:36from there, tell me. But it's said that
1478. 59:39when they burned the doll, they didn't
1479. 59:41know what happened to its remains. They
  1480. 59:43couldn't find them anywhere. For a
1481. 59:46while, things remained quiet, but as
1482. 59:47time passed, some students claimed they
  1483. 59:49would find a strange doll inside a
1484. 59:51trash can in the schoolyard, or they
1485. 59:53would discover it in certain other
1486. 59:55locations around the school grounds.
1487. 59:57When they went to check, they couldn't
1488. 59:59find the doll. It is said that this
1489. 1:00:03doll, or the spirit attached to it, is
1490. 1:00:05waiting for someone to rescue it
1491. 1:00:07somehow. You know that when a spirit is
1492. 1:00:10in an object, it has to be a human who
1493. 1:00:13gives it permission to be in that place
1494. 1:00:15. It is said that this is what this
1495. 1:00:17spirit is waiting for. So it could be
1496. 1:00:19said that the fear that this doll will
1497. 1:00:21return is still present in this school.
1498. 1:00:24Well, that was before the school closed
1499. 1:00:26because it is still standing, but right
1500. 1:00:29now it is in a state of abandonment.
1501. 1:00:32There are even some people who claim
1502. 1:00:34that if you walk by this school at
1503. 1:00:36night, you can hear movements inside,
1504. 1:00:37children laughing, and so on. Now, let
1505. 1:00:41me tell you that in Coahuila they have
1506. 1:00:42some pretty scary stories. For example,
1507. 1:00:45I found one about satanic rites where
1508. 1:00:47several people died and ghost children
1509. 1:00:50that can be seen in ISE hospitals. So,
1510. 1:00:53well, tell me what you think about this
1511. 1:00:55story, what do you think this doll was.
1512. 1:00:58And you know that I am always reading
1513. 1:01:00you. And if you are from Coahuila, if
1514. 1:01:02you know someone who went to this
1515. 1:01:04school, confirm if this is true, if you
1516. 1:01:05had this fear or what happened with
  1517. 1:01:07this.
