  1. 0:00Hey guys, welcome back to another new
  2. 0:01exciting video, another new great open
  3. 0:03source repository, and its name is ECC,
  4. 0:07and it is made by this person Affan. And
  5. 0:11here you see that this repository can
  6. 0:13help you to make your AI agent more
  7. 0:16smarter. On the right-hand side, you
  8. 0:18will find this description, the agent
  9. 0:20harness performance optimization system,
  10. 0:23skills, instincts, memory, security, and
  11. 0:26research first development for Cloud
  12. 0:29Code Codex, Open Code, Carts,
  13. 0:31and beyond. Means all of the AI coding
  14. 0:33assistant that we have, there you can
  15. 0:35use this skill ECC, and you can get a
  16. 0:38great help.
  17. 0:40If I tell you about this ECC in a little
  18. 0:43bit more
  19. 0:45descriptive way, so it is not a software
  20. 0:47application or library in a traditional
  21. 0:49sense, it is a developer toolkit and
  22. 0:53operating framework for AI coding
  23. 0:55assistant. Its goal is to make AI agents
  24. 0:58such as Cloud Code Codex, Carts, GitHub
  25. 1:01Copilot, Gemini, Open Code, and others
  26. 1:04work more effectively by giving them
  27. 1:06reusable workflows, rules, memory,
  28. 1:09security checks, and specialized roles.
  29. 1:12So, in simple terms, let's say you have
  30. 1:15hired a team of software engineer, but
  31. 1:17instead of giving them only a laptop,
  32. 1:20you can also provide coding standard,
  33. 1:23security checklist, specialized expert
  34. 1:26like architect, reviewer, tester, and
  35. 1:28also documentation, a templates,
  36. 1:31automated quality checks, and also the
  37. 1:33shared knowledge from the previous
  38. 1:35project. So, ECC does the equivalent for
  39. 1:38this AI coding agents.
  40. 1:40Now, if you go to this repository there,
  41. 1:43you will find many folders. Like here
  42. 1:45you see hooks, and also this context,
  43. 1:49and also agent, and also if you scroll
  44. 1:52down, you will find these rules. Inside
  45. 1:55this
  46. 1:56rules agent folder, you will find the
  47. 1:58predefined agent and also predefined
  48. 2:01rules. Let's say if I go inside the
  49. 2:04agents folder, then you will find this
  50. 2:07agent evaluator architect and chief of
  51. 2:10staff, code explorer, code architect,
  52. 2:12code reviewer. All of these are the MD
  53. 2:14files. And
  54. 2:16they are doing the different different
  55. 2:18task like architecture planning, code
  56. 2:20review, skill security auditing,
  57. 2:22refactoring, documentation, test-driven
  58. 2:25development, build error resolution.
  59. 2:28And if I show you the skills folder, so
  60. 2:31if you scroll down, you will find the
  61. 2:32skills.
  62. 2:33Reusable workflows that teach an AI how
  63. 2:37to perform the complex task
  64. 2:39consistently. Means this self-evaluation
  65. 2:43or let's say agentic engineering,
  66. 2:44agentic OS, Angular developer. These are
  67. 2:47kind of skills.
  68. 2:49Now, if I go back and here you see that
  69. 2:52rules folder. So, inside this rule
  70. 2:54folder, you will find the
  71. 2:56language-specific coding conventions and
  72. 2:59best practices for ecosystem such as
  73. 3:02TypeScript, Python, Go, PHP, Java, C++,
  74. 3:06Rust, Kotlin, Flutter, and more. And if
  75. 3:10I go back, there you will find another
  76. 3:12folder which is the hooks. So, here is
  77. 3:14the hooks folder and if I go inside,
  78. 3:17here you see that memory persistent and
  79. 3:19hooks.json. What they will do that
  80. 3:22automatic actions trigger before or
  81. 3:24after operation such as running the
  82. 3:26linters, preventing unsafe commands, and
  83. 3:29reminding about the testing, enforcing
  84. 3:31project standard. Let's say you have
  85. 3:33written a code and there you have forgot
  86. 3:36to do the linting, then it will remind
  87. 3:38you to that
  88. 3:40linting process and it will run that
  89. 3:42linters automatically. Okay.
  90. 3:45And
  91. 3:46if I go back, here you see that there
  92. 3:48are a lot of lot of things are there.
  93. 3:50Okay.
  94. 3:52And another thing is that it is a cloud
  95. 3:56platform support means
  96. 3:58it is ECC's the distinguishing feature
  97. 4:00is that it aims to work across multiple
  98. 4:03AI coding environments rather than being
  99. 4:06tied to a single assistant. Means with
  100. 4:08any of the
  101. 4:10AI coding agent that you know or that
  102. 4:12you use every day, you can use there.
  103. 4:15Okay? And also it has the security
  104. 4:17features like vulnerability scanning and
  105. 4:20securing the coding rules, configuration
  106. 4:23validation, protection against prompt or
  107. 4:25tool poisoning, and uh
  108. 4:28automated security review workflows,
  109. 4:30etc. etc. Okay?
  110. 4:32And now if I scroll down below here, you
  111. 4:35will find the uh this details like plan,
  112. 4:38test, implement, review, verify,
  113. 4:40remember, etc. etc. Now, how do you use
  114. 4:42it? Now, with cloud code it is very
  115. 4:44simple and uh here you see if you just
  116. 4:47do this {slash} plugin marketplace add,
  117. 4:50then it will add that. Just copy that
  118. 4:52and inside cloud code here, you can uh
  119. 4:55paste it and uh
  120. 4:57press enter and here you see that adding
  121. 5:00this to the marketplace.
  122. 5:02And when it will add that, after that we
  123. 5:05have to run this {slash} plugin install
  124. 5:08to use it. Now, copy this and inside
  125. 5:11here, you see successfully added to the
  126. 5:13marketplace. Now, we have to install it.
  127. 5:16Now,
  128. 5:17what you will do that copy Let me just
  129. 5:20copy it properly. {slash} plugin
  130. 5:22install. Okay?
  131. 5:25{slash} plugin install ECC. So, now it
  132. 5:28is asking me to install it for you or
  133. 5:30for all of the collaborators. So,
  134. 5:32currently I will uh install it for me
  135. 5:34only. Installing.
  136. 5:36And after this it will ask you to reload
  137. 5:39the plugin. So, let's wait for that.
  138. 5:42And uh here you see for codex also they
  139. 5:46have given the the process. This is the
  140. 5:49same process that you have to do. And
  141. 5:51also, uh for Codex plugin marketplace,
  142. 5:53this is currently experimental. You can
  143. 5:55do these things the same way.
  144. 5:57And for other agents here, you see
  145. 5:59Cursor, Open Code, Gemini. If you just
  146. 6:02open it, then you will find the same
  147. 6:04thing, okay?
  148. 6:06The process can be different from for
  149. 6:07the different different AI code editor.
  150. 6:09You can follow that. But, I'm just
  151. 6:12showing you for the cloud code only.
  152. 6:14And uh here you see, if I just uh reload
  153. 6:17the plugin, then you you can uh use it.
  154. 6:21And now, let's say {slash} ECC, and here
  155. 6:24you see a lot of things are appearing,
  156. 6:27like ECC create a GitHub PR, and ECCK
  157. 6:30power project memory for cloud code, and
  158. 6:33a lot of things. Now, if I take you to
  159. 6:35the uh GitHub and scroll down, here you
  160. 6:38see a lot of things, like {slash} code
  161. 6:40review, {slash} build fix, {slash}
  162. 6:43refactor clean, {slash} contest budget.
  163. 6:45And also, uh if I show you the another
  164. 6:48prompt,
  165. 6:49here you see this one, test-driven
  166. 6:51development. This is a very popular
  167. 6:52technique. So, just try this {slash} ECC
  168. 6:55and uh give this. Means, let's say you
  169. 6:58want to add a feature in your existing
  170. 7:00project, then write this add usage-based
  171. 7:02billing alerts. And after that, all of
  172. 7:05this. Write this. Implement until the
  173. 7:08green means it is uh green
  174. 7:11uh in your billing system. Review from
  175. 7:13fresh context. Fix findings integration
  176. 7:15test. Means, until you are getting the
  177. 7:17satisfaction or until your feature
  178. 7:20getting added to your project, you can
  179. 7:23just uh build it and test it. And uh in
  180. 7:26the form of loop, run it, okay? So, this
  181. 7:29is the command. It will do that
  182. 7:30automatically. Here you see, our result
  183. 7:32is not just a code, it is a trail of
  184. 7:34evidence, the plan failing test, the
  185. 7:35passing test, the review findings, and
  186. 7:37the final verification.
  187. 7:39So, So hope that you got the idea that
  188. 7:41why this ECC actually a great great
  189. 7:44repository and and it is completely open
  190. 7:46source. Please make Please use it and
  191. 7:49here you see
  192. 7:50till the time
  193. 7:52I am making this video it has got
  194. 7:53already 236k stars. So this is a very
  195. 7:56very popular repository.
  196. 7:58Okay, so I hope that you have found this
  197. 8:00video helpful guys. If you have found
  198. 8:02helpful and if you want to get this kind
  199. 8:05of videos more, don't forget to
