2. 0:02called to a farm. Some dry hay had

4. 0:06quickly and reached this barn. There
5. 0:08were 20 pigs inside. The first thing
6. 0:10the arriving firefighters did was pull
7. 0:12all the animals out of the barn, and
8. 0:14then they put out the fire. The farm
9. 0:16owner was infinitely grateful to them.
10. 0:18And half a year later, when the piglets
11. 0:20had grown up, she decided to thank the
12. 0:22firefighters and brought them sausages.
13. 0:24Yes, from the very same pigs that the
14. 0:25firefighters had saved. But the
15. 0:27rescuers themselves saw nothing wrong
16. 0:29with the gift. They got the grills out,
17. 0:31cooked the sausages, and even posted
18. 0:33photos on Facebook. The post went viral
19. 0:35quickly, and hell broke loose in the
20. 0:36comments. Vegetarians were especially
21. 0:39upset. The firefighters were accused of
22. 0:40hypocrisy. First they save the pigs,
23. 0:42and then they eat them. There were
24. 0:44thousands of comments. The scandal was
25. 0:46so intense that the firefighters had to
26. 0:48delete the post and issue an apology.
27. 0:50In her defense, the farmer said, "I am
28. 0:52a farmer and I have a farm, not a
29. 0:54shelter for homeless animals." And the
30. 0:56firefighters simply saved the animals
31. 0:57from a premature death.
