11. 0:21trial some twelve thousand of them sent
12. 0:24between her and former theranos
13. 0:26executive sonny balwani extracted from
14. 0:29phones and computers including one where
15. 0:32balwani referred to a theranost lab with
16. 0:35an expletive as a disaster zone and
17. 0:38holmes expressing concern that a wall
18. 0:40street journal reporter was showing up
19. 0:43to see the lab for lack of a more artful
20. 0:45legal term they want to show that the
21. 0:47two were in cahoots working together and
22. 0:50worried together about their machines
23. 0:52including one called edison these
24. 0:55messages show intimacy they show a
25. 0:58knowledge of how the company was
26. 1:00operating and not operating and yeah
27. 1:02there are absolutely text messages that
28. 1:04show that they knew that edison
29. 1:06technology their famous theronos black
30. 1:09box wasn't where it needed to be also on
31. 1:12the stand retired four star general and
32. 1:15former theranos board member james
33. 1:17mattis who testified that he was
34. 1:19impressed by holmes and hoped to use
35. 1:21theranose machines in the field of
36. 1:23battle on soldiers but was ultimately
37. 1:26disappointed that he was not allowed to
38. 1:29test the machines
39. 1:32general mattis went on to say he stepped
40. 1:34down from the theranos board when then
41. 1:36president donald trump nominated him for
42. 1:39defense secretary
43. 1:40he says his salary was 150 thousand
44. 1:43dollars a year as a board member he also
