  1. 0:00if your thoughts can make you sick is it
  2. 0:01possible that your thoughts can make you
  3. 0:03well neurochemically you're conditioning
  4. 0:04the mind and body to begin to work as
  5. 0:06one and when the body now knows how to
  6. 0:08do it better than the mind now it's
  7. 0:09implicit it's innate it's automatic it's
  8. 0:11easy it's familiar we become that
  9. 0:13knowledge and if a person's able to do
  10. 0:15that reinvent the new way of thinking a
  11. 0:16new way of Behaving a new way of feeling
  12. 0:18will it be reflected in their biology
  13. 0:21emotions are just a chemical record of
  14. 0:23the past right what does that mean a
  15. 0:24chemical record of the past cuz I have
  16. 0:26emotions in the present moment what
  17. 0:28takes place from coherence is another
  18. 0:31phase called resonance so now the person
  19. 0:33is really relaxed in their heart and
  20. 0:36instead of stressed out unconscious
  21. 0:38somehow they tend to be way more
  22. 0:41conscious this is the signature of aha
  23. 0:43the signature of
  24. 0:48insight Joe I've been looking forward to
  25. 0:51this conversation for a long time and
  26. 0:53we've got a mutual friend Peter Park yes
  27. 0:56and you know he he has trained the best
  28. 0:58of the best of the best physical
  29. 0:59training
  30. 1:00and he's he's helped me in immense ways
  31. 1:04both physically but just as a friend um
  32. 1:07and so he when he recommended so he
  33. 1:09pulled me aside and he was like Mike do
  34. 1:11you know Jenza and I said no and he says
  35. 1:14what do you think of him and I said well
  36. 1:16I don't know enough but I've what I
  37. 1:18followed along is like really compelling
  38. 1:22and he says I think you guys got to meet
  39. 1:24I said I'd love to and so that's how
  40. 1:26this that's how this conversation
  41. 1:28started and
  42. 1:30you know uh what is your relationship
  43. 1:32with Peter like well Peter's an anomaly
  44. 1:35first of all I mean he talk about a
  45. 1:37mindset of a champion uh I think he
  46. 1:39really has uh really some innate innate
  47. 1:43Talent around that and and then a really
  48. 1:45strong developed skill set around it so
  49. 1:48um covid happened I was training in one
  50. 1:51gym they closed all the gyms and um
  51. 1:54Peter was a friend I knew I knew him
  52. 1:56well enough but never trained with him
  53. 1:58and and he I just said can I just use
  54. 2:00your gym you know when no one's there
  55. 2:02and so I got to know him a little bit
  56. 2:04more intimately and um and then he asked
  57. 2:07me if I wanted to be trained by him and
  58. 2:08then I was like sure I train now with
  59. 2:12his 25-year-old son yeah so he also like
  60. 2:16Peter also shared with me the reason I
  61. 2:18think this is an interesting way to
  62. 2:20start our conversation is because mutual
  63. 2:23friend that we both care about and he
  64. 2:25represents something to both of us and
  65. 2:27so I was asking him like how do you know
  66. 2:30Joe and he says well let me let me tell
  67. 2:32you an give you an
  68. 2:34example he says I'll say I'll mention
  69. 2:36something about one of my sons and then
  70. 2:38next thing I know I hear from my son
  71. 2:40that Joe calls him and you know he's
  72. 2:42like hey how you doing what's going on
  73. 2:44tell me really what okay what is really
  74. 2:46happening for you whatever the the
  75. 2:48conversation is but you're in there in a
  76. 2:50way that you're caring about your
  77. 2:53friend's son which makes sense but but
  78. 2:55on top of all of the other things that
  79. 2:57you're doing he's Blown Away by it and
  80. 3:00so for somebody with that type of
  81. 3:01mindset Peter Who The Listener doesn't
  82. 3:03know is incredibly intense incredibly
  83. 3:06skilled to your point earlier and then
  84. 3:09has a way of building relationships
  85. 3:11where you're compelled to want to be
  86. 3:12your very best around him and it's a
  87. 3:16special art that he has and and a pretty
  88. 3:18cool science and so coming from him
  89. 3:22about how much you care how much you do
  90. 3:24and that
  91. 3:27um you have designed a life that is
  92. 3:30giving to others and you built a
  93. 3:32business along the way so I'm really
  94. 3:34interested in not only the science and
  95. 3:37the Art of your science but also how
  96. 3:39you've designed your life I think both
  97. 3:41are fascinating to me but I would like
  98. 3:43to start with the science of it yeah and
  99. 3:45you opened up your book
  100. 3:47Supernatural with um maybe I'll insert
  101. 3:50the quote you know in full because I
  102. 3:52don't have it memorized here but you
  103. 3:54opened it up with like this idea that I
  104. 3:58need to share I need to tell what I've
  105. 4:00been doing or what I've seen or what
  106. 4:02I've experienced even at the risk of
  107. 4:04people thinking that I'm a wild one
  108. 4:07dangerous a quack I'm On The Fringe and
  109. 4:11um this likely is not going to be
  110. 4:13accepted you didn't use th any of those
  111. 4:15words but that was the risk that you
  112. 4:18decided to take um thank you for the
  113. 4:21question uh first of all I never planned
  114. 4:23on doing any of this to be really
  115. 4:24straight and really honest um I had my
  116. 4:28own personal L got run over by a truck
  117. 4:30and a triathlon broke six vertebrae in
  118. 4:33my spine typical surgery is Harrington
  119. 4:36Rod Surgery I was young I was in my 20s
  120. 4:39I was athletic I had a martial arts
  121. 4:41studio I had a yoga studio I was
  122. 4:42training for you know um a lot of
  123. 4:45different races and I went from 100
  124. 4:48miles an hour to face down and in
  125. 4:51trouble and um I couldn't imagine living
  126. 4:55my life on addictive medications with
  127. 4:58Harrington rods from the base of my neck
  128. 5:00to the base of my spine it was a full
  129. 5:03you know six six compression fractures
  130. 5:05is a lot so I had bone fragments on the
  131. 5:07cord and I had the neural Arch broken so
  132. 5:10I was in a lot of trouble so I figured
  133. 5:13my might as well see if my mind can
  134. 5:14influence my body this was at age
  135. 5:1720-some 24 yeah and it worked it it
  136. 5:21really worked for me and when that when
  137. 5:24when you go through that kind of
  138. 5:26initiation you can't go back to business
  139. 5:28as usual and it was a dark night of the
  140. 5:30soul for me during that time CU I
  141. 5:32couldn't get my mind to do what I wanted
  142. 5:34it to do cuz I think when you're faced
  143. 5:36with crisis like that we always focus on
  144. 5:38what we don't want to have happen
  145. 5:39instead of what we do want to have
  146. 5:41happen so turning that Battleship around
  147. 5:43for me as a 24-year-old kid uh was an
  148. 5:46enormous effort because I couldn't keep
  149. 5:48my mind on the
  150. 5:50task um
  151. 5:53so when I finally was able to get back
  152. 5:55on my feet and return back to my life uh
  153. 5:59uh
  154. 6:00uh I decided from that point that it
  155. 6:03would be good to study other people that
  156. 6:05may have had a spontaneous remission
  157. 6:08from disease were had were treating
  158. 6:10conventionally or unconventionally they
  159. 6:11were staying the same and getting worse
  160. 6:13and all a sudden they were getting
  161. 6:14better so I traveled around the world I
  162. 6:16traveled to 17 different countries
  163. 6:18interviewed a lot of people at age 28
  164. 6:20now uh I was probably 20 let's see I was
  165. 6:23probably 29 yeah okay so two things you
  166. 6:26said it worked yeah so I do want to
  167. 6:28understand what worked and how it worked
  168. 6:31so I know we'll unfold that as we go but
  169. 6:33in a short hand for The Listener who's
  170. 6:36unfamiliar with this part of your
  171. 6:39journey yeah so I wanted to see if my
  172. 6:42mind could influence my body and I
  173. 6:46decided two things I thought God there's
  174. 6:48an innate intelligence within us that
  175. 6:50that's giving us life it's keeping our
  176. 6:52heart beating digesting our food all the
  177. 6:54way down to the cellular level
  178. 6:56organizing trillions of functions in a
  179. 6:58Cell every second you know correcting
  180. 7:01for mutations and the DNA so I had a
  181. 7:04respect for that innate intelligence uh
  182. 7:07and I thought well it can heal to a
  183. 7:09certain point and it does and it does it
  184. 7:12is healing it's trying it's very best
  185. 7:14yeah with six compression fractures I
  186. 7:16thought um this has got to be next level
  187. 7:19now you know this has got to be next
  188. 7:20level this is this so I had to weigh
  189. 7:22what I
  190. 7:23knew against what I didn't know well and
  191. 7:27and so for me I thought God if I could
  192. 7:30make contact with this intelligence and
  193. 7:33give it a plan give it a directive give
  194. 7:35it some orders give it a template and if
  195. 7:38I could do it really well once I've had
  196. 7:40that that Vision my in my mind super
  197. 7:43clear I know that I can't heal it I'm
  198. 7:46going to surrender that that that Vision
  199. 7:50to a greater mind and see if it could
  200. 7:52begin to to to work with me so you s you
  201. 7:55sound like a a Mystic you sound like a a
  202. 7:58spiritualist at this point somebody who
  203. 8:00is a devotee to a religion that says I'm
  204. 8:03going to turn over my injury to God I'm
  205. 8:07going to turn over my life experiences
  206. 8:08to God yeah I think that's a simplistic
  207. 8:12version uh because I I what I want to do
  208. 8:14is I wanted to uh influence it uh and
  209. 8:19and see if I could take it to the next
  210. 8:20level because I knew that uh well you
  211. 8:24know the compression fractures could
  212. 8:26heal but I would lose bone height I
  213. 8:28still have fragments on my I had motor
  214. 8:30function Pro problems I had sensory
  215. 8:31function problems I had an enormous
  216. 8:33amount of pain so this was kind of next
  217. 8:36level for me and I think anytime you go
  218. 8:39against convention whether it's social
  219. 8:42convention scientific convention
  220. 8:43religious convention anytime you go
  221. 8:45against the current belief systems
  222. 8:48you're always considered fool hearty or
  223. 8:50insane right I mean you're nuts my the
  224. 8:52four opinions I had from four surgeons
  225. 8:54they all thought I hit my head like they
  226. 8:56were like what are you you know what are
  227. 8:57you thinking here yeah so but if you
  228. 9:00pull it off because did you but you did
  229. 9:02have surgery no no I never had the
  230. 9:05surgery oh you you buried the lead there
  231. 9:07you didn't have surgery you didn't no I
  232. 9:10decided not to I went against I went
  233. 9:12against that's where that's where the
  234. 9:14the Medical Institution would say what
  235. 9:17what are you doing yeah they were very
  236. 9:18upset with me 1986 you didn't do that
  237. 9:22like I was living in San Diego you just
  238. 9:24didn't do that and and I just figured
  239. 9:27god um if I have the Harrington Rod
  240. 9:30Surgery I'm not going to be the same guy
  241. 9:31I won't be able to do I won't I won't be
  242. 9:33able to do anything like I I you know I
  243. 9:35was doing and so I was
  244. 9:38willing to trust in in that process I
  245. 9:42figured if it didn't work I'm going to
  246. 9:44wind up with surgery anyway so I might
  247. 9:46as well roll the dice and so number one
  248. 9:48was make contact with that intelligence
  249. 9:50I'm not going anywhere I'm not doing
  250. 9:51anything I'm laying face down and the
  251. 9:53second thing was I'm not going to let
  252. 9:55any thought slip by my awareness
  253. 9:57unnoticed by me so so Mystic mystical
  254. 10:01means unknown that's what the word means
  255. 10:03so I was willing to
  256. 10:05trust if this could work now little
  257. 10:08background I had I had studied
  258. 10:12hypnosis a lot I I saw the power the the
  259. 10:15subconscious mind I knew I saw you know
  260. 10:18amazing things and then I did have this
  261. 10:22kind of
  262. 10:23crazy moment where I was leaving for
  263. 10:26graduate school in my best friend's
  264. 10:30father gave me a book uh autobiography
  265. 10:33of Yogi and I was reading this book and
  266. 10:36I was thought it was like God I if that
  267. 10:39is actually the truth then I am I'm
  268. 10:41unaware of a lot yeah and I read that
  269. 10:43book and scrutinized it and threw it
  270. 10:45across the room and wrestled with it but
  271. 10:49I had kind of this kind of idea that
  272. 10:53that that I I I was willing to take that
  273. 10:56risk cuz I had the time I went from 100
  274. 10:59miles an hour in my life to laying face
  275. 11:02down so I knew enough about the spine I
  276. 11:04knew enough about the body and and uh
  277. 11:07first 6 and a half weeks was misery it
  278. 11:10was it was really really a Dark Night of
  279. 11:12the Soul because I could
  280. 11:14not I I I was I was wrestling with my
  281. 11:17own
  282. 11:18belief uh and my own
  283. 11:21self-doubt and my inability to be able
  284. 11:23to control my mind when you're at of
  285. 11:25balance so the first 6 and A2 weeks it
  286. 11:28took me three hour hours to go through
  287. 11:30that inward process and when I was done
  288. 11:32I wasn't satisfied but after that 6 and
  289. 11:361 12 weeks what took me 3 hours three
  290. 11:40and a half sometimes four hours to do cu
  291. 11:42the moment I started thinking my should
  292. 11:44I sell my practice should I sell my home
  293. 11:47uh I'm going to be living in a
  294. 11:48wheelchair you know moment the moment I
  295. 11:50was my mind my mind left the present
  296. 11:53moment and I went off T I start all over
  297. 11:55again I'd start over so it was a very
  298. 11:58very deliberate but very very in uh
  299. 12:02difficult process because if you get
  300. 12:03frustrated it's going to get worse so I
  301. 12:06had to like had to move through all this
  302. 12:08muck you know and and six and a half
  303. 12:11weeks all of a sudden something clicked
  304. 12:13it was like I hit a golf ball right in
  305. 12:14The Sweet Spot I had a tennis ball just
  306. 12:16right something clicked for me uh and
  307. 12:20all of a sudden from that point forward
  308. 12:23it got
  309. 12:24easier and and what took me three and 1
  310. 12:28half hours 3 hours to I was doing in
  311. 12:30much less time and I didn't know it at
  312. 12:32the time but I was really mastering the
  313. 12:36ability to pay attention and to be
  314. 12:38present because every time you you catch
  315. 12:40yourself defaulting and you're going
  316. 12:42unconscious the only way you become
  317. 12:44conscious is you catch yourself going
  318. 12:46unconscious and you become conscious
  319. 12:48again that's the moment to celebrate
  320. 12:49right that's and most people say I can't
  321. 12:51do it and and I was doing that but
  322. 12:52really that's a victory because that's
  323. 12:54the only way that you're actually going
  324. 12:56to stop yourself from going unconscious
  325. 12:58I I was
  326. 12:59pruning connections and I was reiring
  327. 13:03rewiring new connections and I started
  328. 13:05developing kind of a new mind and and at
  329. 13:08that moment Michael I
  330. 13:10noticed like the dramatic reduction in
  331. 13:14my pain and I was getting sensory
  332. 13:17feeling back and motor motor and then my
  333. 13:19toes and I was just like okay whatever
  334. 13:22you're doing is working so keep doing it
  335. 13:25and your belief at that point goes from
  336. 13:28here to here right it just it just
  337. 13:30catapults because you're seeing the
  338. 13:33effect of you would cause right so for
  339. 13:37me uh I was back in my feet in 10 and a
  340. 13:39half weeks they wanted me put me in this
  341. 13:42huge body cast I was I was better you
  342. 13:44know I was done so I couldn't go back to
  343. 13:47business as usual because I was
  344. 13:48initiated I have a very scientific mind
  345. 13:51so I just kind of sold everything and
  346. 13:53left and went to the Northwest and
  347. 13:56started over again and and I wanted to
  348. 13:59to take some time for myself and ask the
  349. 14:01big
  350. 14:02questions if that truly happened how did
  351. 14:07that
  352. 14:08happen and is there anybody else that is
  353. 14:11is anybody has that happened to anybody
  354. 14:12else so I had to start studying
  355. 14:14epigenetics and neuroplasticity and
  356. 14:16psychon neuroimmunology and
  357. 14:17electromagnetism quantum physics and
  358. 14:19just was this kind of exploration for me
  359. 14:23and and I started getting closer to the
  360. 14:26understanding and then when I started
  361. 14:27interviewing people that had spontaneous
  362. 14:30remissions from diseases that were
  363. 14:31treating conventionally or
  364. 14:32unconventionally staying the same and
  365. 14:34all of a sudden got better once I
  366. 14:35studied and found a commonalities
  367. 14:37amongst these people and it was really
  368. 14:39about the mind it was really about
  369. 14:41breaking the habit of being the
  370. 14:43themselves their old self and
  371. 14:45Reinventing a new self the other thing
  372. 14:47was that they in their inward
  373. 14:50process of really deciding who they no
  374. 14:53longer wanted to be like if I really
  375. 14:55could live my life again and live again
  376. 14:58how would I live differently do I really
  377. 15:00want to be an attorney I hate my job I
  378. 15:02don't want to be an attorney I want to
  379. 15:03be an artist right so you see these
  380. 15:05people make the transition by choice to
  381. 15:08stop being one person start being
  382. 15:10another person and in their inward
  383. 15:12process of thinking about how they do
  384. 15:14want to think how they do want to act
  385. 15:16how they do want to feel in their new
  386. 15:19life they had long moments where they
  387. 15:21lost track of space and time their
  388. 15:23inward experience became more real than
  389. 15:25their ouward experience and and it
  390. 15:27caused me to spend a lot of time
  391. 15:29studying the frontal lobe which is kind
  392. 15:30of the workshop of the brain that's
  393. 15:31where we focus where we have intention
  394. 15:33so we have attentions where we have free
  395. 15:35will we restrain our behaviors you know
  396. 15:37judgement we event we speculate it's the
  397. 15:39creative center right and so so and then
  398. 15:42then that fourth thing was that there
  399. 15:44they believe there was an intelligence
  400. 15:46that was giving them life that that that
  401. 15:48they would trust and and surrender to so
  402. 15:50what does that mean let's just stay on
  403. 15:52that idea for a minute and intelligence
  404. 15:54because you've mentioned a few times
  405. 15:55like making contact with intelligence
  406. 15:58well
  407. 16:02um whatever that Consciousness is that's
  408. 16:05giving us life that's within us that's
  409. 16:08happening in kind of in I'll say it
  410. 16:11scientifically the autonomic nervous
  411. 16:12system the limic brain right is the seat
  412. 16:15of the of all of those biological
  413. 16:18functions that keeps us in homeostasis
  414. 16:20and balance right the neocortex the
  415. 16:22thinking brain is the analytical mind
  416. 16:24and a lot of times that's what kind of
  417. 16:26gets us in trouble right so they had a
  418. 16:32belief and independent of
  419. 16:37religion that there was some
  420. 16:39intelligence that was giving them life
  421. 16:41that could help them in their healing
  422. 16:43process now there was a spectrum
  423. 16:46involved in that but the similarity was
  424. 16:48that there was it was within them so the
  425. 16:51intelligence is within within so for
  426. 16:54somebody who might be a spiritualist or
  427. 16:57um follow Christian Doctrine God is
  428. 17:00within yes if that if that is the word a
  429. 17:04person would want to use yeah
  430. 17:07so there came a period of time where I
  431. 17:09was in a documentary and the documentary
  432. 17:11became really popular and people started
  433. 17:13asking well how do you do it like and I
  434. 17:15think this is a time in history where
  435. 17:16it's not enough to know I think it's a
  436. 17:18time in history to know how right so I
  437. 17:20thought okay I studied the all these
  438. 17:22things I went back to school and went
  439. 17:23studied neuroscience and just got really
  440. 17:25into it and
  441. 17:26and and then I was like okay if it works
  442. 17:29on these sick people uh let's see if we
  443. 17:32can reproduce an outcome and so for the
  444. 17:34first couple years we didn't really see
  445. 17:36much it was doing these one day courses
  446. 17:38and two-day courses and people were
  447. 17:40feeling better at the end of the weekend
  448. 17:42but no real big changes then all of a
  449. 17:45sudden it just started happening we
  450. 17:47started seeing the most amazing changes
  451. 17:51in people's Health that that really
  452. 17:53challenged my belief and so when we
  453. 17:55started seeing people have remissions
  454. 17:58from very serious stage four Cancers and
  455. 18:03uh Parkinson's disease and Ms and and um
  456. 18:07ALS and uh spinal cord injuries and all
  457. 18:12kinds of crazy things that's that's when
  458. 18:15uh I knew it was time to measure and so
  459. 18:18we organized and a group of scientists
  460. 18:21and now I work with University of
  461. 18:22California San Diego and so when I
  462. 18:25started seeing the outcomes Michael and
  463. 18:28there were unbelievable they literally
  464. 18:30unbelievable to me like I was shaking my
  465. 18:32head like I cannot believe what I'm
  466. 18:35seeing and I knew that when a
  467. 18:38person has an inward experience where
  468. 18:42they're in a a certain health condition
  469. 18:44and then
  470. 18:46after there we use meditation as and I
  471. 18:49we'll talk about that demystifying
  472. 18:52meditation in a way that allows a person
  473. 18:55to learn how to make an inward
  474. 18:57experience really really real and so I
  475. 19:01knew that when a person got up out of a
  476. 19:03wheelchair with Ms right right in front
  477. 19:07of me like something was happening in
  478. 19:08there something was happening inside of
  479. 19:11them that like that was very profound
  480. 19:15and very real right and it was an
  481. 19:16experience right so we organized we
  482. 19:20we've we've got over 20,000 brain scans
  483. 19:23we have fmri scans we have we've
  484. 19:25measured thousands and thousands of HRV
  485. 19:28measurements we've measured gene
  486. 19:30expression we've measured um microbiome
  487. 19:33we've measured
  488. 19:352,882 metabolites in blood we've
  489. 19:38measured immune regulation we've we we
  490. 19:41we've measured tears we've measured
  491. 19:43breast milk we've measured everything
  492. 19:45you can possibly imagine and the idea is
  493. 19:48what happens when a
  494. 19:50person completely immerses themselves in
  495. 19:54a community that's interested in change
  496. 19:56and transformation and that's what we
  497. 19:57teach we teach the process of change we
  498. 20:00use meditation not to heal use
  499. 20:03meditation to change when you change you
  500. 20:06heal right so so the science has been so
  501. 20:09compelling because you can't call it
  502. 20:11pseudo science anymore the data is so
  503. 20:15profound that it shows that as an
  504. 20:19example uh the studies that we've
  505. 20:23done demonstrate that the human nervous
  506. 20:25system manufactures a pharmacy of
  507. 20:27chemicals
  508. 20:29that works sometimes better than any
  509. 20:31drug and it's within you right interlan
  510. 20:34you know all kinds of all kinds of
  511. 20:36amazing things yeah and is it possible
  512. 20:39then to upregulate genes for health and
  513. 20:42downregulate the genes for disease and
  514. 20:44if you teach people in a very simple way
  515. 20:48the philosophy the theory the
  516. 20:50information the knowledge and they can
  517. 20:52learn that information learning is
  518. 20:55making new Connections in the brain as
  519. 20:56you know but the research also shows
  520. 20:58that if you don't review it if you don't
  521. 21:00repeat it if you don't think about it
  522. 21:02over and over again those circuits pre
  523. 21:04apart within hours or days so we set up
  524. 21:07these large events with thousands of
  525. 21:08people from all over the world and the
  526. 21:11information is so tantamount for them
  527. 21:15because it's what they're going to do
  528. 21:16with it they got to do something with it
  529. 21:18so when they learn the information then
  530. 21:20they have to teach it back to the person
  531. 21:22next to them they have to be able to
  532. 21:24explain it and if they can't explain it
  533. 21:27it's not wired in their brain so as
  534. 21:28remind themselves what they learned
  535. 21:31they're reproducing that same level of
  536. 21:33mind and nerve cells that fire together
  537. 21:35wire together and the more you
  538. 21:37understand what you're doing and the
  539. 21:39more you understand why you're doing it
  540. 21:41the how gets easier because you can
  541. 21:42assign meaning to the task and when you
  542. 21:45assign meaning to the task you turn on
  543. 21:46that prefrontal cortex and it wants an
  544. 21:48outcome right so they're installing the
  545. 21:52neurological Hardware in their brain and
  546. 21:54preparation for the event so if you can
  547. 21:56set up the conditions in the environment
  548. 21:57and give people the proper instructions
  549. 21:59and they can get their behaviors to
  550. 22:00match their intentions their actions
  551. 22:02equal to their thoughts they get their
  552. 22:03mind and body working together and
  553. 22:05initiate that knowledge they should have
  554. 22:08an experience right and the experience
  555. 22:10then enriches the circuitry in the brain
  556. 22:12but the end product of the experience is
  557. 22:14called an emotion and when you feel
  558. 22:17unlimited or you feel grateful or you
  559. 22:19feel empowered now you're teaching your
  560. 22:21body chemically to understand what your
  561. 22:23mind is intellectually understood so the
  562. 22:26information is no longer in the brain
  563. 22:27now the information is in the in the
  564. 22:28body right so the person's embodying the
  565. 22:30truth of that
  566. 22:32philosophy so this is kind of the
  567. 22:34journey what we do so then we're
  568. 22:37measuring we're measuring what's taking
  569. 22:39place inwardly now if you can go for
  570. 22:42seven days and keep reproducing the
  571. 22:44experience neur neurologically and
  572. 22:46chemically neurochemically you're
  573. 22:48conditioning the mind and body to begin
  574. 22:49to work as one and when the body now
  575. 22:52knows how to do it better than the mind
  576. 22:53now it's you know implicit it's innate
  577. 22:55it's automatic it's easy it's familiar
  578. 22:57we've become that knowledge right and so
  579. 23:00the person's in a different state of
  580. 23:01being so we have to go from philosopher
  581. 23:03to initiate to master you know from from
  582. 23:06knowledge to experience to wisdom from
  583. 23:08mind the body to soul from thinking to
  584. 23:10doing to being learning with your head
  585. 23:11applying with your hands knowing it by
  586. 23:13heart and and we
  587. 23:15discovered that it's the overcoming
  588. 23:19process that is the becoming process
  589. 23:21because 95% of Who We Are by the time
  590. 23:24we're in the middle of our life or set
  591. 23:26of memorized hardwired attitudes beliefs
  592. 23:29and perceptions you know automatic and
  593. 23:32unconscious habits and behaviors and
  594. 23:34reflexive emotional responses so it's
  595. 23:37that it's that unlearning process that
  596. 23:3995% of being unconscious getting
  597. 23:43conscious and if person's able to do
  598. 23:45that if they if they're able to
  599. 23:47reconstruct and and reinvent a new way
  600. 23:50of thinking a new way of Behaving a new
  601. 23:51way of feeling will it be reflected in
  602. 23:54their biology and we've discovered that
  603. 23:58the majority of people that go through a
  604. 24:00weekl long event it's not like a small
  605. 24:02percentage there's a community effect
  606. 24:05that's taking place I think the reason
  607. 24:06people change is because of pain and I
  608. 24:09don't think it comes from inspiration I
  609. 24:12think it comes from a a position that I
  610. 24:15am sick and tired of being sick and
  611. 24:16tired and that's pulled right out of an
  612. 24:19AA you know pamphlet somewhere but when
  613. 24:22there's enough pain that a person feels
  614. 24:26that they say it's got to be different I
  615. 24:29can do different that there's a better
  616. 24:31way can you help or can I go Inward and
  617. 24:34figure out a better way I don't think we
  618. 24:36do anything alone so I think that you're
  619. 24:38on to something really powerful about
  620. 24:39doing it together but this idea that
  621. 24:41people are in change are people change
  622. 24:43because of pain I don't know if you
  623. 24:45agree with it or not I do I do I think
  624. 24:48when we're brought to our lowest
  625. 24:50denominator whether it's
  626. 24:52crisis disease diagnosis loss betrayal
  627. 24:56it doesn't matter you reach this lowest
  628. 24:59denominator where
  629. 25:00nothing is making that feeling go away
  630. 25:04no vacation no TV show no friend where
  631. 25:09that feeling is the alcohol the drugs
  632. 25:11the
  633. 25:12numbing nothing is making that feeling
  634. 25:15go away and this is I think this is a
  635. 25:17really important moment for people
  636. 25:19because they don't feel like themselves
  637. 25:22no nothing in their environment in their
  638. 25:24outer world is making this feeling go
  639. 25:27away and this is where they start for
  640. 25:30the first
  641. 25:31time observing themselves that idea of
  642. 25:35metacognition they feel so so different
  643. 25:38than the way they normally feel that
  644. 25:40they can view themselves Through The
  645. 25:42Eyes of someone else this is the moment
  646. 25:44where they can all of a sudden go oh my
  647. 25:46god look look at the way you've been
  648. 25:48thinking you've been saying I can it's
  649. 25:50too hard I hate this person those
  650. 25:53thoughts have consequences you can say
  651. 25:55oh my God you've been complaining
  652. 25:57blaming you've been a victim you been
  653. 25:58you know you've been judging uh making
  654. 26:01excuses feeling sorry for yourself oh my
  655. 26:02God look at you like it's the it's the
  656. 26:04lighting the match in the dark place and
  657. 26:07then you can say oh my God I I live the
  658. 26:08majority of my life in hatred and anger
  659. 26:11and fear oh my God that's not loving to
  660. 26:13me but but no one is going to tell no
  661. 26:16one you're not going to listen to
  662. 26:18anybody when they tell you that you're
  663. 26:19going to bump them off right but this is
  664. 26:21kind of when the soul kind of kind of
  665. 26:24give you a little nudge like this is
  666. 26:26your moment right and so and you're
  667. 26:28doing this by helping them observe
  668. 26:30themselves but more specifically helping
  669. 26:34them observe the intimate thoughts that
  670. 26:36they're having in said moment yeah so
  671. 26:39like or the emotional experience yeah so
  672. 26:41I'm curious uh we see that the brain
  673. 26:45changes the most when you get Beyond I
  674. 26:47can't I'm too tired I don't feel like it
  675. 26:50I want to quit this is too hard I'll
  676. 26:53never make it when you get Beyond like
  677. 26:54people who are curious what's on the
  678. 26:56other side of that thought they're
  679. 26:57stepping into the the unknown a person
  680. 26:59who says oh my God I want to be happy
  681. 27:02why am I spending the majority of my day
  682. 27:04complaining but complaining is not going
  683. 27:06to make me happy it's going to make me
  684. 27:08unhappy and then oh my God this emotion
  685. 27:10that I live by every day emotions are
  686. 27:13just a chemical record of the past right
  687. 27:16so if I'm living what does that mean a
  688. 27:19chemical record of the past because I
  689. 27:20have emotions in the present
  690. 27:22moment yeah you can all I'm saying is
  691. 27:25when a person's let's pick an emotion um
  692. 27:28frustration frustration frustration is a
  693. 27:30great one um a person uh feels
  694. 27:34frustration because of an experience
  695. 27:35that happens or has a series of
  696. 27:38experiences that happen in their life
  697. 27:40the stronger the emotion that we have to
  698. 27:42some experience in our life the more
  699. 27:44altered we are inside of us the the
  700. 27:46disruption in our chemical continuity
  701. 27:49causes the brain to freeze a frame and
  702. 27:51take a snapshot or a series of snapshots
  703. 27:54and that's called the long-term memory
  704. 27:56so that the memory is INB
  705. 27:58in the brain right and the chemical if
  706. 28:02this thing happens again something like
  707. 28:04this happens again yeah so if it happens
  708. 28:06a few times and then you then you review
  709. 28:09the event you keep remembering the
  710. 28:11event um you're producing the same
  711. 28:14chemistry in the brain and body as if
  712. 28:16the event was occurring and the body is
  713. 28:18so objective it's the unconscious mind
  714. 28:21that it does not know the difference
  715. 28:23between the real life experience that's
  716. 28:24creating that emotion and the emotion
  717. 28:27that person's fabricating by memory
  718. 28:28alone to the body it's exactly the same
  719. 28:30so the body is reliving the trauma 50 to
  720. 28:34100 times a day so it's a thought and a
  721. 28:35feeling it's an image and an emotion or
  722. 28:38a memory and emotion it's a stimulus and
  723. 28:40response and you're conditioning the
  724. 28:42body become the mind of that emotion and
  725. 28:44so now the body the servant is now the
  726. 28:48master so the body has learned it and
  727. 28:50it's automatic and so you're you're
  728. 28:53sweeping your environment just to look
  729. 28:55for
  730. 28:56something to cause you to feel
  731. 28:59frustrated so the hormones of stress
  732. 29:01become highly addictive and it's it's
  733. 29:04entirely possible that people use the
  734. 29:05problems and conditions in their life to
  735. 29:07reaffirm their addiction to frustration
  736. 29:09to reaffirm their addiction to that
  737. 29:11emotion so they don't know they're doing
  738. 29:13that consciously but they're becoming
  739. 29:14addicted to the life they don't even
  740. 29:16like I I have a quote here that I I
  741. 29:19wrote down I wanted to play back to you
  742. 29:21and talk about it which you just said it
  743. 29:22people are emotionally addicted to a
  744. 29:24life they don't want I'm Loosely
  745. 29:26paraphrasing but idea when you when I
  746. 29:29read that in your writings I thought it
  747. 29:32you're really on to something important
  748. 29:35and so I think what you're suggesting is
  749. 29:38that if the if the mind and brain not
  750. 29:43really separate but let's separate them
  751. 29:45for a moment uh the brain is the
  752. 29:47hardware and the mind is the software it
  753. 29:49breaks down quickly but if they're doing
  754. 29:51their job they're trying to keep you
  755. 29:53alive they're sweeping the environment
  756. 29:55to your language scanning for all the
  757. 29:57reasons
  758. 29:58that a threat could disrupt or end their
  759. 30:02life and
  760. 30:04so I think what you're saying in this in
  761. 30:07this idea is that that's a very that
  762. 30:10alertness there's a there's a chemistry
  763. 30:13that is pretty addicting to that yeah it
  764. 30:15feels good it's a beta brain
  765. 30:17wave it's essential for survival and and
  766. 30:21you're saying we like that so much that
  767. 30:23we'll just keep scanning to find the
  768. 30:25dangers to find the reasons
  769. 30:28that things could go wrong reasons I
  770. 30:31could should be frustrated and then
  771. 30:33because of that I'm now exhausted I'm
  772. 30:36now poisoning my system yeah so so let's
  773. 30:40just talk about that a let's let's
  774. 30:42unpack that a little bit because I think
  775. 30:43I saw the corners of your eyes light up
  776. 30:45when I said that well because living in
  777. 30:47stress is living in survival right and
  778. 30:49stress is when your brain and body are
  779. 30:50knocked out of homeostasis the stress
  780. 30:52response is what the body innately does
  781. 30:54to return itself back to order okay well
  782. 30:57all biological organisms can tolerate
  783. 30:59short-term stress zebra gets chased by
  784. 31:02the line it outruns the line it goes
  785. 31:04back to grazing and eating and it goes
  786. 31:05back into balance right go so all
  787. 31:07organisms can do that you get cut off on
  788. 31:09the freeway you jam on the brakes ah you
  789. 31:11know and then you're over it right for
  790. 31:13most people but when you turn on the
  791. 31:15stress
  792. 31:17response and you can't turn it off now
  793. 31:19you're headed for disease because no
  794. 31:21organism can live in emergency mode for
  795. 31:23that extended period of time now human
  796. 31:25beings because of the size of the
  797. 31:27frontal lobe
  798. 31:28we can turn on the stress response just
  799. 31:30by thought alone that's the problem now
  800. 31:33now now that's the trick yes so so if
  801. 31:37you're forecasting some future worst
  802. 31:39case scenario based on the past and
  803. 31:41you're actually imagining that future
  804. 31:45unfolding your body as as the objective
  805. 31:48mind begins to feel the emotion of that
  806. 31:50future before it happens and now you're
  807. 31:52conditioning your body to become the
  808. 31:54mind of anxiety the mind of fear right
  809. 31:56and and again thought and a feeling
  810. 31:58image emotion stimulus response the body
  811. 32:00is being conditioned into fear okay so
  812. 32:04so now you say to that person why are
  813. 32:05you this way and they'll say I am this
  814. 32:08way because of these events that have
  815. 32:09happened to me 10 years ago what what
  816. 32:12they're really saying is I had an event
  817. 32:14that's changed me biologically and I
  818. 32:16have not been able to change since okay
  819. 32:19so if you can turn on the stress
  820. 32:21response just by thought
  821. 32:22alone and and those chemicals hormones
  822. 32:26of stress are addictive the arousal you
  823. 32:28can become addicted to your own thoughts
  824. 32:30and this is why it's hard to change well
  825. 32:32if the long-term effects of the the
  826. 32:34hormones of stress push the genetic
  827. 32:35buttons and create disease that's a fact
  828. 32:38and you can turn on the stress response
  829. 32:40just by thought alone your thoughts can
  830. 32:41make you sick all right no now that's
  831. 32:43that's that's the ultimate Mind Body
  832. 32:45Connection so when you tell a person
  833. 32:46that and they go oh my God if my this
  834. 32:49you ask them if your thoughts can make
  835. 32:50you sick is it possible that your
  836. 32:52thoughts can make you well and so we did
  837. 32:54a study where we just took people and we
  838. 32:56said trade frustration trade impatience
  839. 32:59trade resentment for heart- centered
  840. 33:01emotion let's hook you up to an HRV and
  841. 33:03let's have you practice get really good
  842. 33:06at feeling appreciation gratitude
  843. 33:08kindness care let's get you in that
  844. 33:11state is it possible then that you can
  845. 33:13upregulate the proteins for your immune
  846. 33:16system and down regulate the secretion
  847. 33:19of cortisol and the amount of
  848. 33:21immunoglobulin a which is a really
  849. 33:24important you know
  850. 33:26natural flu shot for the body when up
  851. 33:2950% in the participants so the body
  852. 33:31actually believing it's living in an
  853. 33:33environment that's nurturing right and
  854. 33:35so it could be that it could be that
  855. 33:36immediate now this is a Lov and kindness
  856. 33:38meditation or a heart centered Med Heart
  857. 33:40Center Meditation yeah to 15 minutes 15
  858. 33:42minutes a day twice a day for or three
  859. 33:44times a day for three days that's it
  860. 33:46that's how fast it can happen now the
  861. 33:50caveat behind this is that uh just like
  862. 33:54breaking any addiction you're going to
  863. 33:57go through a lot of withdrawals because
  864. 33:59the body's going to be craving the
  865. 34:01chemical right so we've discovered again
  866. 34:04when the person is sitting in a
  867. 34:06meditation and they're coming up against
  868. 34:08their frustration they're coming up
  869. 34:11against their resentment they're coming
  870. 34:12up against their impatience instead of
  871. 34:14saying I can't meditate I'm too busy I'm
  872. 34:15get on myself I have too many things to
  873. 34:17do nobody else in the herd or the flock
  874. 34:20or the Trib is do sitting right so the
  875. 34:23person we're not we're not asking them
  876. 34:25to White Knuckle it we're giving them
  877. 34:26something to do we're teaching them how
  878. 34:29to lower the volume to that emotion
  879. 34:32settle the body back down as the mind
  880. 34:35and and and teach them what to do with
  881. 34:37that so the act of doing that breaking
  882. 34:40that in the inhibition process breaking
  883. 34:42the stimulus and response the body is
  884. 34:44craving 20 years or 10 years of
  885. 34:47frustration more stimulus more stimulus
  886. 34:50what it does it starts to send images to
  887. 34:53the brain like think of the time in your
  888. 34:55life that you know and it's it's true
  889. 34:57trying to reproduce that chemical so
  890. 35:00this takes an enormous amount of energy
  891. 35:03an enormous amount of awareness to be
  892. 35:05able to free the body from the chains of
  893. 35:07the past and yet once you learn how to
  894. 35:10do it it's tedious in the beginning if
  895. 35:13the person truly can get Beyond its
  896. 35:16their addiction to that emotion the
  897. 35:19absence of that emotional addiction is
  898. 35:21called Joy the body is no longer
  899. 35:23tormented so the side effect that's
  900. 35:24interesting framing that the absence
  901. 35:27the side effect of that is there's a
  902. 35:29complete change in the body's physiology
  903. 35:31so would you say that that is your
  904. 35:33position that that is our
  905. 35:35default I think it's one of the major
  906. 35:37defaults Joy no no no I think the
  907. 35:40default to frustration is automatic
  908. 35:43right you just need to see a person or a
  909. 35:45circumstance of a thought and seamlessly
  910. 35:47you're feeling the emotion from your
  911. 35:49past and you're behaving like you're in
  912. 35:50your past and you're believing
  913. 35:53everything that goes along with your
  914. 35:54past what is the natural state of the
  915. 35:56human is it
  916. 35:58is it Joy or is there a natural state
  917. 36:01that you say no it's not it's not like
  918. 36:03there's a default to happiness or Joy or
  919. 36:05peace it's not that simple but we can we
  920. 36:08can cultivate specific actions and
  921. 36:11thought patterns to increase the amount
  922. 36:13of Joy I think the majority of time um
  923. 36:17uh people are on alert they're in high
  924. 36:19beta brain wave States they're they're
  925. 36:21Vigilant they're ready you know they're
  926. 36:23uh when we're living in stress and we're
  927. 36:25living in survival all of our attention
  928. 36:27is on on our environment that's where
  929. 36:28the danger is all of our attension is on
  930. 36:30our body because we're getting the rush
  931. 36:32of chemistry and adrenaline and all of
  932. 36:34our tension is on attention is on time
  933. 36:36how much time is we going to get make
  934. 36:38this go away right and so so when you I
  935. 36:42think when you break free from the state
  936. 36:44of survival which pretty much is about
  937. 36:4670% of the time for most people so is
  938. 36:48the world dangerous and hostile or is it
  939. 36:51safe for you for me mhm um God it's like
  940. 36:55a
  941. 36:56fundamental decision make the world is
  942. 36:58either dangerous or safe yeah I for for
  943. 37:00the most part I feel like it's a safe
  944. 37:03place I think when you're living in
  945. 37:04survival I think you'll always perceive
  946. 37:07it as a dangerous place but I think the
  947. 37:10opposite side of that and this is kind
  948. 37:11of what we've
  949. 37:13discovered um I think when you live in
  950. 37:16something other than survival you live
  951. 37:18in a state of creation and I think a
  952. 37:20state of creation is
  953. 37:21when energy naturally moves into the
  954. 37:24heart and the heart is the creative
  955. 37:26Center when you're living in stress and
  956. 37:28you're living in survival your brain is
  957. 37:29completely incoherent because you're
  958. 37:31trying to control and predict everyone
  959. 37:33and everything in your life so stress is
  960. 37:35created by by the loss of control uh the
  961. 37:39the perception that something's going to
  962. 37:40get worse or something that you can't
  963. 37:42predict right so the alarm system
  964. 37:43switches on so the next thing you start
  965. 37:45doing is you try to control and predict
  966. 37:47everything in your life well every
  967. 37:49person every object everything every
  968. 37:50place is mapped neurologically in your
  969. 37:52brain you got a neurological Network for
  970. 37:54your wife for your husband for your kids
  971. 37:56for your dog for your where you live
  972. 37:58where you where you work your phone you
  973. 37:59know so as we shift our attention to
  974. 38:02each one of these different elements
  975. 38:05like a lightning storm in the clouds in
  976. 38:07that aroused High beta State the
  977. 38:10different compartments of the brain
  978. 38:11begin to modulate and they begin to fire
  979. 38:13out of order if you measure that on the
  980. 38:15brain it's waves that are out of order
  981. 38:17and they they cancel each other out and
  982. 38:19the brain is incoherent we're incoherent
  983. 38:21same thing happens in the heart you're
  984. 38:23stepping on the gas and you're stepping
  985. 38:25on the brake you're on a zoom meeting
  986. 38:28someone's talking and you're thinking
  987. 38:30about oh my God I your your emotional
  988. 38:32response is is not the best but you're
  989. 38:35not running you're not fighting you're
  990. 38:36not hiding you're sitting there right so
  991. 38:38you're stepping on the gas in the break
  992. 38:40and the Heart starts beating very very
  993. 38:42much out of order because it's very
  994. 38:43incoherent same thing the energy in the
  995. 38:45heart goes down you can't trust it's not
  996. 38:47a time to communicate you you know the
  997. 38:49story
  998. 38:51so we we've discovered that where you
  999. 38:54place your attention is where you place
1000. 38:55your energy we teach teach people then
1001. 38:58if you can place your attention on your
1002. 39:00heart slow your breathing down you
1003. 39:02slowing your brain waves down and teach
1004. 39:04them how to work with their body and
1005. 39:06convert from the sympathetic nervous
1006. 39:08system to the parasympathetic nervous
1007. 39:09system and get their body in that state
1008. 39:12it takes practice it takes a lot of work
  1009. 39:14in the beginning you're you're working
1010. 39:16with the animal and the animal's Juiced
1011. 39:18up and it's it's ready to go and you got
1012. 39:20to teach it that the the threat the
1013. 39:24danger is over and it's not very
1014. 39:26trusting in the beginning so slow your
1015. 39:28breathing down slow your brain waves
1016. 39:29down convert over put your attention on
  1017. 39:32your heart and let's practice feeling
1018. 39:34some heart centered some elevated
1019. 39:36emotions if a person can sustain that
1020. 39:40state we'll see their heart get very
1021. 39:41coherent when it gets coherent energy
1022. 39:45builds and if they can sustain it
  1023. 39:47something really beautiful happens it's
1024. 39:50almost like the heart informs the brain
1025. 39:53that the trauma is over and it resets
1026. 39:56the Baseline for the past event where
1027. 39:59the emotion is attached to and we've
1028. 40:01seen this numerous times it tells the
1029. 40:03the the amydala it's over like the
1030. 40:05trauma's over and all of a sudden the
1031. 40:08the body re resets and the brain resets
1032. 40:11and the person all of a sudden like
1033. 40:13grabbing a big sheet and going like this
1034. 40:15they go right out of beta High beta and
1035. 40:17they go right in the alpha coherent
1036. 40:19Alpha and the hearts telling the brain
1037. 40:21get creative the other thing we
  1038. 40:23discovered Mike is that when you're
1039. 40:25pressed like that we tend to over Focus
1040. 40:30we tend to narrow our focus on the cause
1041. 40:32of the problem like any of us who have
1042. 40:33been under stress know that you know for
  1043. 40:36the most part you're obsessing you're
  1044. 40:38ruminating you're overfocused uh on some
1045. 40:42and we discovered that when you do that
1046. 40:43you actually make your brain worse 100%
1047. 40:47of the time like as you're analyzing
1048. 40:49your life within that disturbing emotion
1049. 40:51that emotion is a record of the past and
1050. 40:53you're driving it into higher and higher
1051. 40:54beta right so we thought oh my God what
  1052. 40:57if we do the
1053. 40:58opposite what if we go from this kind of
1054. 41:00narrow focus on everything physical
1055. 41:02everything material everything known to
1056. 41:05broadening and opening our focus and
1057. 41:07putting it on nothing in the act of
  1058. 41:09sensing space we
  1059. 41:12discovered when you're sensing you're
1060. 41:15not analyzing and you're not thinking in
1061. 41:18the the cortex is the analytical mind so
  1062. 41:21as you're sensing space and you're no
  1063. 41:24longer analyzing and thinking you're no
  1064. 41:25longer activating those different
1065. 41:27neurological networks in the brain and
1066. 41:29all of a sudden your brain goes from
1067. 41:32beta to Alpha but not any kind of alpha
1068. 41:35those different compartments of the
1069. 41:36brain that have been modulated and
1070. 41:38compartmentalized they begin to unify
1071. 41:40they begin to synchronize and when sinks
1072. 41:42in the brain links in the brain right
  1073. 41:43and that's a coherence so now the brain
1074. 41:45starts getting more orderly and you
1075. 41:47start feeling more like yourself so the
1076. 41:49breathing is a great way to get the body
1077. 41:52to convert uh from sympathetic to
1078. 41:54parasympathetic but the open and the
1079. 41:56broad focus and sensing nothing in space
1080. 41:59is actually what allows us to get beyond
1081. 42:01our analytical mind and what separates
1082. 42:03our conscious mind from our subconscious
1083. 42:05mind is our analytical mind now you're
1084. 42:07opening the door and getting into the
1085. 42:08operating system where you can actually
  1086. 42:11rewrite a program and rehearse a new
1087. 42:13script right which is your beliefs is I
  1088. 42:15think what you're suggesting where all
  1089. 42:16the hardwired beliefs perceptions
1090. 42:19attitudes um behaviors all exist so um
1091. 42:23to be Uber tactical you're talking about
1092. 42:26an eyes open meditation where you are oh
1093. 42:29your periphery is engaged no your eyes
1094. 42:32are closed so you're doing it eyes
  1095. 42:33closed and you're watching the light
  1096. 42:35show behind your eyes you're not
  1097. 42:37watching any you're you're focusing on
1098. 42:39absolutely nothing so the reason I was
1099. 42:41going to that is because it was a tactic
1100. 42:43I was using with um cage fighters UFC
1101. 42:47fighters is that um as a Ying to their
1102. 42:50Yang we would do a meditation eyes open
1103. 42:52meditation which is actually really hard
1104. 42:55to do yeah eyes closed is we visual
1105. 42:57creature so it's when you close the eyes
1106. 43:00a couple things happen one your
1107. 43:01analytical judgmental CR critical mind
1108. 43:04can kick on pretty quickly or you fall
1109. 43:07asleep right and so what we're doing is
1110. 43:10eyes open and just having them like
1111. 43:12three qus of the way closed I should say
1112. 43:14and just engage their periphery and as
  1113. 43:17keeping it as wide non-judgmental as
1114. 43:19they possibly can but just noticing as
1115. 43:21as opposed to the narrow attentional um
1116. 43:25hunting mode or survival mod of looking
1117. 43:27down the barrel of the gun or chasing
1118. 43:30something you know in the wild that
1119. 43:32narrow attention so we would go from
1120. 43:35broad to narrow broad to narrow and then
1121. 43:37stay broad as as much as we can yeah and
1122. 43:40it they that exercise they would report
1123. 43:44um uh quieting down their analytics
  1124. 43:47because they're paying attention to
1125. 43:49space yeah yeah and we absolutely and we
1126. 43:53can you can do it with your eyes open as
1127. 43:55well uh which I think is exponential
  1128. 43:57harder I thought that's what you were
1129. 43:58going but you're saying eyes closed so
1130. 44:00we do it both you do we do it both but
1131. 44:03for the sake of this
1132. 44:05conversation just by closing your eyes
1133. 44:07and focusing on nothing um uh you can
1134. 44:10slip past the analytical mind and when
1135. 44:13you're an alpha you know this you tend
1136. 44:15to see more in images and pictures
  1137. 44:17you're more creative
1138. 44:18right and then you can train a person to
1139. 44:21actually know the different brain wave
1140. 44:23States and my definition of theta is
1141. 44:27when your body is resting in a light
  1142. 44:28sleep and you're awake and that's when
1143. 44:31the door between the conscious mind and
1144. 44:32the subconscious mind is wide open this
1145. 44:34is the most suggestible state of the
  1146. 44:37brain it's a hypnotic state if a person
  1147. 44:40can
1148. 44:41sit um and practice this we discovered
1149. 44:45that the formula is relaxed and awake
1150. 44:49relaxed the more relaxed you get in your
1151. 44:52heart the more energy goes to the brain
1152. 44:55now this is where this is where like
  1153. 44:57like I'm completely a rookie in this
1154. 45:00part of the discussion which is how the
1155. 45:03heart and the Brain work together the
1156. 45:05heart and the mind I was really
  1157. 45:07surprised I was I was I I was so
1158. 45:09surprised in seeing this because I was
1159. 45:11always a brain guy until I saw like like
1160. 45:16every time the heart gets coherent it
1161. 45:18influences the and how do we measure
  1162. 45:19heart
1163. 45:20coherence um we we measure them with um
1164. 45:23all kinds of devices we use what's
1165. 45:25called a bodyguard some people wear them
1166. 45:26for2 for hours we're looking at them
  1167. 45:28when they're sleeping we're looking at
  1168. 45:29them when they're eating we're looking
  1169. 45:30at them when they're doing their
  1170. 45:31meditations we're looking at them when
  1171. 45:32we're signing a specific act during a
  1172. 45:35meditation to see if they're actually
1173. 45:37doing it so we can say to them you're
1174. 45:39doing it or you're not doing it so it's
1175. 45:40measuring the electrical activity of
1176. 45:43measuring the electrical activity is
1177. 45:44actually measuring the the the pulse you
  1178. 45:48know it's not heart rate variability
1179. 45:50there is an element of heart rate
  1180. 45:51variability to Heart coherence
1181. 45:53absolutely so there' be an increase in
1182. 45:55variability yes and there would be a
  1183. 45:57what from an electrical standpoint I
1184. 45:59don't know what the other measures would
1185. 46:00be so the the the sensors are picking up
  1186. 46:06Electro Electro
1187. 46:08electromagnetic signals right the heart
  1188. 46:10when it gets coherent produces a
1189. 46:13magnetic field and that mag magnetic
1190. 46:15field can be up to 3 meters wide it it
1191. 46:18is like a drum it gets very coherent and
  1192. 46:20it produces magnetic field a very
1193. 46:23measurable magnetic field so it informs
1194. 46:26the brain to be creative and it causes
1195. 46:29uh kind of an frequency or energy is
  1196. 46:33carrying information so there's an
  1197. 46:35emission of energy that's released from
1198. 46:37the heart if a person can get re relaxed
1199. 46:41in their heart and awake in the brain
1200. 46:42you can train a person to get really
1201. 46:43good at this it gets really crazy
  1202. 46:46because what's takes place from
1203. 46:48coherence is another phase called
1204. 46:52resonance and resonance is when the
  1205. 46:55brain is in
1206. 46:57Delta and at the same time in Theta and
1207. 47:01at the same time in Alpha and the same
1208. 47:03time in beta and high beta and all of a
1209. 47:05sudden you have this very Peak frequency
  1210. 47:07called gamma and that's
1211. 47:09superconsciousness so now the person is
1212. 47:11really relaxed in their heart and
1213. 47:14instead of stressed out unconscious and
1214. 47:18programmed somehow they they tend to be
1215. 47:21way more conscious so this is the the
1216. 47:24signature of aha the signature of
1217. 47:26insight the signature maybe a flow State
1218. 47:28as well it's another arousal but the
1219. 47:30instead of the arousal being fear that's
1220. 47:33right instead of the arousal being pain
1221. 47:35instead of the arousal being aggression
1222. 47:37the arousal is kind of like what you
  1223. 47:39said it's kind of like an ecstasy it's
1224. 47:41kind of like a bliss like a person is
1225. 47:43like this feels so good I don't want to
1226. 47:46leave the moment like I want to stay
1227. 47:48right here and what we want to do is get
1228. 47:52people to do that so well with their
1229. 47:53eyes closed that they can do it with
1230. 47:55their eyes open and that's why we do
1231. 47:56walking meditations and things like that
  1232. 47:58and so that so you've got a 7-Day
1233. 48:00training and then for somebody who
1234. 48:03doesn't have the ability to get to a
1235. 48:05location whe I know you have one coming
1236. 48:07up in La you know does can't get to
1237. 48:10California whatever um what what do you
  1238. 48:13point them to to
1239. 48:15increase yeah so we have a little little
1240. 48:18uh like a little course called the
  1241. 48:20formula okay and it's like 30 minutes of
  1242. 48:23content with five meditations 12
  1243. 48:25different sessions it's it's a great way
1244. 48:28to get the practice of heart coherence
1245. 48:30and brain coherence and then synchronize
1246. 48:32the two and the five meditations are
1247. 48:34step by step work on the heart work on
1248. 48:35the brain work on the heart and the
1249. 48:36brain and then take it to the next level
1250. 48:39um uh and then we have an online
1251. 48:41Progressive Workshop like the same
1252. 48:43course we'll be doing in LA in January
1253. 48:46you can watch it online and and you can
1254. 48:48get you know good 12 14 hours of content
1255. 48:52and you'll get uh six meditations and
1256. 48:55four hours of meditations and you got a
1257. 48:57lot of tools to practice there and it's
1258. 49:00a requirement uh for for our community
1259. 49:04in fact I tell people do not come to a
1260. 49:06weeklong event do not come to a weeklong
1261. 49:09event until you see the progressive
1262. 49:10Workshop so do do the online Progressive
1263. 49:13Workshop first they have to prepare
1264. 49:14because we got bodies to heal we got
1265. 49:16lives to change we got Futures to create
1266. 49:18I mean it was a very full week I mean
1267. 49:20we're I just finished one just this past
  1268. 49:22week and um yeah they're they're 6:00 in
  1269. 49:26the morning till 7 in the 8 7 or 7:30
1270. 49:28how many do you do I we do about one a
1271. 49:31month yeah so why did you want to go
1272. 49:33down the research path um you could stay
  1273. 49:37as a kind of a guru and have you know 12
  1274. 49:42of these a year 2,000 folks write some
1275. 49:44more books and just have the honest
1276. 49:47experience that you know you're on to
1277. 49:49and as soon as you're going down I want
  1278. 49:51to measure it and I'll tell you I'll
1279. 49:53before you answer the question one more
  1280. 49:55Divergent it was
1281. 49:581995 and I had this radical injury it
1282. 50:01was two spines uh um two vertebrae one
1283. 50:05was an extrusion and one was an
1284. 50:07intrusion so one popped in and one
1285. 50:08popped out the one that popped out
1286. 50:10they're pretty normal right those are
1287. 50:12but the one that popped in broke off so
  1288. 50:15a spondo thesis no no it was a a a
1289. 50:19cervical intrusion so it was just the
1290. 50:21dis matter bulged inward not outward so
1291. 50:25it bulged inward and then it pinched and
1292. 50:27it broke off so I've got this U disc
1293. 50:31matter floating around my spinal cord
1294. 50:32and pushing against my spinal cord which
1295. 50:34is a problem prolapse yeah yeah not not
1296. 50:36pushing on the nerve but pushing on the
1297. 50:38entire bundle yeah and it was bad it was
1298. 50:40really bad and so two years where I my
1299. 50:43wife was like um she would had it with
  1300. 50:46me because I I couldn't even lift my
  1301. 50:47laundry
1302. 50:49basket and um you know she's like you
1303. 50:53you need to figure this out like we
  1304. 50:54can't keep going this way and I didn't
1305. 50:56want surgery and then the doc uh he was
1306. 50:58great he was you know good ortho spinal
  1307. 51:00Ortho he's like look it's time we've
  1308. 51:02done everything uh I I cannot do anym
  1309. 51:04here for you it's time for
1310. 51:06surgery and I said can you give me 30
  1311. 51:09days I was just wrapping up my master's
1312. 51:11degree or just somewhere in that range
1313. 51:14right towards the end of my masters and
1314. 51:16I thought to myself what am I doing I'm
  1315. 51:19not doing any performance imagery I'm
1316. 51:21not using my mind in any way and there
1317. 51:24was this Fringe thing called healing
1318. 51:25imagery not really well understood and
  1319. 51:29they I I read a couple articles about it
  1320. 51:31and I don't think there were scientific
  1321. 51:32journals there was a couple articles
1322. 51:34about what is this thing called healing
1323. 51:36imagery and they were studying cancer
1324. 51:38patients do you remember this original
1325. 51:40research or writings about it and they
1326. 51:42asked them what did you do because there
1327. 51:44was you know control group in a in an
1328. 51:46experimental group and the experimental
  1329. 51:47group um said I don't know I just the
1330. 51:49control group did nothing over the
1331. 51:51course of X number of weeks and the
1332. 51:53experimental group said um well you told
1333. 51:55me to do healing imagery and there was
1334. 51:58this theme that emerged that there was
1335. 51:59like Mickey Mouse hands or there was
1336. 52:02dump trucks or there was the hands of
1337. 52:04God and it was this white light and
1338. 52:06there was these themes that would no
1339. 52:07instructions were given to these folks
1340. 52:09to do healing other than do healing
  1341. 52:11imagery X number minutes for X number of
1342. 52:13days and they had better results in
1343. 52:16cancer than than the control group and
  1344. 52:19so I thought I need to do that and I
1345. 52:22couldn't see it disappear so I used that
1346. 52:24that spiritual framing it it was Mickey
1347. 52:27Mouse hands but they like had the hands
1348. 52:29of God in there the energy of God if you
  1349. 52:31will and I could
1350. 52:33not see my intrusion go away extr now
1351. 52:39I'm blinking on the am I getting the the
  1352. 52:41diagnosis right intrusion I couldn't see
  1353. 52:43it just disappear I couldn't see it go
1354. 52:46away so you can ask my wife 17 minutes
  1355. 52:49every night for about 30 uh 30 days um I
1356. 52:53would see like a wet clay I would see
1357. 52:57this matter of my disc be like wet clay
1358. 53:00and these Mickey Mouse hands fueled with
1359. 53:02this spiritual you would call it this
1360. 53:04intelligent being or intelligence uh
1361. 53:07take layers off it like clay wet water
1362. 53:10on clay and just take more off and more
1363. 53:12off and more off and more off until I
1364. 53:14could believe that over time it was
  1365. 53:16reducing to a place that was
  1366. 53:19non-existent uh probably like 45 days
1367. 53:21later that I had a second MRI the doc
  1368. 53:23pops a screen up this is before there's
  1369. 53:26still SC
1370. 53:27not on not not like the digital now it
1371. 53:29was a view box bang he puts it up and he
1372. 53:31goes he was like I don't know what to
1373. 53:33tell you but um how you doing and I said
  1374. 53:37um I'm okay like nothing nothing
  1375. 53:40radically different it's still kind of a
1376. 53:43burning between my shoulder blades and
1377. 53:45he says um yeah it looks like I don't
1378. 53:48know the body sometimes just eats up
1379. 53:49these things and it looks like there's
  1380. 53:51just a little bit of calcium that's
  1381. 53:53built up there but like it's it's gone
  1382. 53:56so you know I I I don't know what I
1383. 53:58would go we could go in and do some
1384. 53:59surgery and poke around and maybe clean
1385. 54:01some stuff out I said no thank
1386. 54:04you so um back fully functioning very
1387. 54:08soon after that I needed my mind to
1388. 54:10catch up with the image that I saw yeah
1389. 54:12but my mind also was the one that um
1390. 54:16allowed me to take these layers off
1391. 54:18every night and so I share that with you
  1392. 54:21because I if I ever in this conversation
1393. 54:25had more of like a me more tell me more
  1394. 54:27I really want to understand I don't talk
  1395. 54:29about this much and the reason I don't
1396. 54:31talk about it if all any is because it's
  1397. 54:33like you kid it's unbelievable
  1398. 54:35it's unbelievable yeah yeah like I I I
1399. 54:40uh I did in in my own um convalescence
1400. 54:45from my injury I did the exact same
  1401. 54:47thing I went in there with a
  1402. 54:48mortar and I reconstructed every
1403. 54:52vertebrae like with a mortar like just
1404. 54:54make it all smooth and and and I did and
  1405. 54:57one if I if I was doing that and I was
  1406. 54:59on say I did I broke T8 T9 T10 t11 T12
  1407. 55:02and L1 if I was on like T9 and I started
1408. 55:04thinking about am I going to live in a
1409. 55:07wheelchair I'd stop and start all over
  1410. 55:09again because I was not that's exactly
1411. 55:10how I did it that I was not giving that
  1412. 55:13intelligence it is a Consciousness
1413. 55:15that's giving us life and I have to be
1414. 55:18present with it I have to give it a very
1415. 55:20clear picture and if and if it's if it's
1416. 55:22polluted in any way I would start all
1417. 55:24over and I think the brain does not know
1418. 55:27the difference really at certain moments
  1419. 55:29between what's real and what's imagining
1420. 55:32and I think that in effect starts
  1421. 55:34producing
1422. 55:36outcomes um so yeah so so that's an
1423. 55:39example of truth you're the example of
1424. 55:41Truth so when a person comes to our
1425. 55:44week-long Retreat and they stand on the
1426. 55:46stage and they say I was diagnosed with
  1427. 55:49stage four cancer and you know I I had a
  1428. 55:52doctor I tried the chemo I tried the
  1429. 55:54radiation I tried the surg IES I tried
1430. 55:57the diet I tried the drug trials I tried
  1431. 55:59everything that wasn't changing because
  1432. 56:01I wasn't changing and then they say I
1433. 56:03have no evidence of cancer
  1434. 56:05like is it's a four-minute mile moment
  1435. 56:08it's like I'm looking at 2,000 people in
  1436. 56:11an audience and everybody's leaning in
1437. 56:13because that is the example of Truth up
  1438. 56:16there they're they're saying I broke
  1439. 56:17through a certain level of Consciousness
1440. 56:19or unconsciousness and the person in the
1441. 56:22audience invariably that has that
  1442. 56:24similar condition
1443. 56:26sees that person they don't look any
1444. 56:29more special than them and their belief
1445. 56:32in possibility goes up and I think
1446. 56:34people do the best with what they think
1447. 56:35is available so you get a you got enough
1448. 56:38people together in in the spirit of that
1449. 56:42I think people become conscious of other
1450. 56:45possibilities and and just like an
1451. 56:47infection can spread amongst the
1452. 56:49community and create disease health and
1453. 56:51wellness can become as infectious as
1454. 56:53disease in seven days so we did this
1455. 56:56study and we found out that we had all
1456. 56:58these people with everybody had their
1457. 56:59own genotype right their own particular
1458. 57:01gene expression based on their race
  1459. 57:03their culture their family
1460. 57:06whatever and genes make proteins and
1461. 57:09proteins are responsible for the
1462. 57:10structure and function of your body the
1463. 57:12expression of proteins is the expression
1464. 57:13of Life at the end of seven days all
  1465. 57:16these different uh
1466. 57:18genotypes almost 80% of the of the
1467. 57:21collective were expressing the same
1468. 57:24genes and making the same proteins like
1469. 57:26that's unheard of so like people Chang
1470. 57:30people but there was an emergent
1471. 57:32Consciousness that was taking place that
  1472. 57:34was being reflected in people's biology
1473. 57:37the herd the flock the tribe you know
  1474. 57:41the school of fish everybody's evolving
  1475. 57:43together in seven days
  1476. 57:45so if you don't
  1477. 57:48know that that's
1478. 57:50possible that you could actually use
1479. 57:52imagery to heal an an some type of leion
1480. 57:56then you you'll make the typical choice
1481. 57:59but the fact that you do know that you
1482. 58:01have a hand in it you could actually do
1483. 58:04something you me I can do something to
1484. 58:07help my health and it may not be in like
1485. 58:10a pill immediate you got to put in the
1486. 58:13work you got to put in the time and and
1487. 58:16you have to really understand what
1488. 58:18you're doing and why you're doing there
1489. 58:20can be no false hope well so this is why
  1490. 58:23I didn't talk about it cuz I didn't know
  1491. 58:25exactly how it works worked and I didn't
  1492. 58:28I didn't know the medical professional
1493. 58:30said oh the gas just the body just ate
1494. 58:32up up maybe you know sometimes it it
1495. 58:34turns these things into a gas and it
1496. 58:36just kind of I thought well maybe but I
  1497. 58:39I didn't tell them what I did I that was
  1498. 58:42my my information but I didn't want to
1499. 58:44share it one because it was super Fringe
1500. 58:47and it was way out there I can get out
1501. 58:49there and so I'm not I'm not too afraid
1502. 58:51of that however I didn't want to set up
1503. 58:54this condition in another person
1504. 58:57that I did it I'm pretty good at this
1505. 59:02you could do it if you were just good
1506. 59:03enough and then they go away and they're
  1507. 59:05like I still have cancer or I've
1508. 59:07still got my back is still riddled and I
1509. 59:10I just felt like there was this unfair
  1510. 59:11thing yeah yeah and so that's why I
1511. 59:14asked you about your the way why you
  1512. 59:16wanted to step forward cuz I I made a
1513. 59:18very different Choice yeah when I saw
  1514. 59:21people like I I I saw that I was truly
1515. 59:24making a difference and some level in
  1516. 59:26their life that was the moment I didn't
  1517. 59:29care like I really didn't care about the
1518. 59:31academic who was sitting there judging
1519. 59:33me he's going to or he or she's going to
  1520. 59:34judge me anyway I really don't care like
  1521. 59:37that's fine I'm more interested in
1522. 59:38people who do want to learn those are
1523. 59:40the people that I'm after right so they
1524. 59:42can have their judgments about me and
1525. 59:44say all kinds of things but I really
  1526. 59:45don't care anymore I really don't care I
1527. 59:47know on some level between the evidence
1528. 59:50that's taking place in human testimony
  1529. 59:53and there there's enough we have
1530. 59:55hundreds of not thousands now of people
1531. 59:57who have healed themselves and we have
1532. 59:59amazing evidence and scient empirical
1533. 1:00:02scientific studies evidence is the
1534. 1:00:05loudest voice and so chronic health
1535. 1:00:07conditions in themselves just just stay
1536. 1:00:09stay in the lane of
  1537. 1:00:11convention require a lifestyle change
1538. 1:00:14and chronic health conditions make up
1539. 1:00:1795% of of all health conditions because
1540. 1:00:20of Lifestyle because of behaviors
  1541. 1:00:22because of choices okay so a
  1542. 1:00:24pharmaceutical
1543. 1:00:26May alleviate and give you some chemical
  1544. 1:00:29balance but if you're not physically
  1545. 1:00:31balanced then you're not emotionally
1546. 1:00:32balanced that's going to do very little
1547. 1:00:35so so teach a person then this the
1548. 1:00:38structure of what it really means to
  1549. 1:00:41change people don't do the meditations
1550. 1:00:44in our work to heal they do the
1551. 1:00:47meditations to change and what are you
1552. 1:00:49what are you hoping that they
1553. 1:00:50change uh so it's just three things the
1554. 1:00:53way they think the way they act and the
1555. 1:00:55way they feel and how you think how you
1556. 1:00:58act and how you feel is called your
1557. 1:00:59personality and your personality is
1558. 1:01:02intimately connected to your personal
1559. 1:01:03reality so then let's unlearn the old
  1560. 1:01:06personality that's 95% hardwired
  1561. 1:01:09conditioned and habituated and that's
  1562. 1:01:11the that's the hard work that's the
  1563. 1:01:13overcoming process and then let's fire
1564. 1:01:16and wire new thoughts in our brain what
  1565. 1:01:18do I want to believe a belief is just a
1566. 1:01:19thought I keep thinking over and over
  1567. 1:01:21again so let's with intention let's with
1568. 1:01:24attention begin to install that the
1569. 1:01:26hardware keep doing it it becomes a
1570. 1:01:29software program that's the new voice in
  1571. 1:01:31your head that's the new belief I can
  1572. 1:01:33it's possible that's my vision okay a
  1573. 1:01:36person who's healing from a health
1574. 1:01:37condition may have a good meditation in
1575. 1:01:40the morning 45 minutes hour half hour
  1576. 1:01:43whatever feel really in Z 12 minutes
1577. 1:01:46feel really in the zone but then spends
1578. 1:01:48the rest of their day the rest of their
1579. 1:01:51day frustrated impatient angry uh
  1580. 1:01:55suffering
1581. 1:01:57fearful okay so 1 hour it does not it's
1582. 1:02:01not going to work so let me mentally
1583. 1:02:05rehearse how I'm going to be in those
1584. 1:02:08circumstances now you know this the act
1585. 1:02:10of mental rehearsal you close your eyes
1586. 1:02:13and you rehearse doing something whether
1587. 1:02:14you're playing the piano or doing a
1588. 1:02:16sport or whatever you know this
  1589. 1:02:18extremely well when you're truly present
1590. 1:02:20the brain cannot distinguish between the
  1591. 1:02:23actual event and what you're imagining
  1592. 1:02:25so
  1593. 1:02:27what you're imagining becomes the
1594. 1:02:28experience and the brain looks like
1595. 1:02:31you've been playing the piano for 5 days
  1596. 1:02:33it looks like you've been hitting a golf
1597. 1:02:35ball for the last week the brain looks
1598. 1:02:37like you've already done it now the
1599. 1:02:39brain's no longer a record of the past
1600. 1:02:40now now you're priming it as a map to
  1601. 1:02:43the Future you're installing the
1602. 1:02:44hardware keep doing it you behave
  1603. 1:02:47differently around your coworker there's
1604. 1:02:49no magic here you you be behave
1605. 1:02:51differently around your ex or whoever
  1606. 1:02:53you're you're you're changing right now
1607. 1:02:56your to change is be greater than your
1608. 1:02:57environment to think act and feel
1609. 1:02:59differently in the same environment okay
1610. 1:03:02now can I stay in my heart can I feel an
1611. 1:03:05elevated emotion today let me just bring
1612. 1:03:08up the feeling I want to feel today and
1613. 1:03:10let me bring it up a hundred times so I
1614. 1:03:12I can bring it up on my own right so the
1615. 1:03:14word meditation then means to become
1616. 1:03:17familiar with that's what it means to
1617. 1:03:20become so familiar so conscious of your
  1618. 1:03:23unconscious self that you don't default
1619. 1:03:25go unconscious in your waking day that's
1620. 1:03:28that is a great day and then okay how
1621. 1:03:30let me remind myself how I am going to
1622. 1:03:32think let me remind myself how I'm going
1623. 1:03:34to act at the staff meeting how am I
1624. 1:03:35going to act with my kids how am going
1625. 1:03:36to act when I'm here let me what would
1626. 1:03:37greatness look like what would love do
1627. 1:03:40let me just let me just rehearse it in
1628. 1:03:42my mind so I can get my behaviors to
1629. 1:03:44match my intentions let me get really
1630. 1:03:45clear okay no person no circumstance no
1631. 1:03:49condition in my life is going to move me
1632. 1:03:51from this elevated emotion now the game
  1633. 1:03:53is on you're out of the bleachers you're
1634. 1:03:55on the playing field now because the
  1635. 1:03:57person who's truly interested in healing
1636. 1:03:59says the moment I start feeling those
  1637. 1:04:01familiar
  1638. 1:04:03emotions I'm signaling the same genes
  1639. 1:04:06and genes make proteins it's the
1640. 1:04:07environment that signals the gene okay
1641. 1:04:09the end product from an experience in
1642. 1:04:11the environment is an emotion so as long
  1643. 1:04:13as I live by this emotion I'm signaling
1644. 1:04:15the same genes okay is it possible then
  1645. 1:04:18if I feel this elevated emotion and I'm
1646. 1:04:21able to sustain it that I could actually
  1647. 1:04:23my body would believe it's living in a
1648. 1:04:25different environment and if the
1649. 1:04:26environment signals the Gene and the end
1650. 1:04:28product of an experience in the
1651. 1:04:29environment is an emotion by me feeling
1652. 1:04:31this elevated emotion my entire day I
1653. 1:04:34can signal genes ahead of the
1654. 1:04:36environment what we discovered if you
  1655. 1:04:38have
  1656. 1:04:38intention in that state
1657. 1:04:41100% of the people actually signal the
  1658. 1:04:45gene to make a protein 100% that's a
1659. 1:04:49pretty good odds it's going to happen
1660. 1:04:51what what duration of time Seven Days
1661. 1:04:55Seven well if you thin slice the amount
1662. 1:04:58of time they were doing intention work
1663. 1:05:00call it mental re 35 hours of meditation
  1664. 1:05:02in a in a 7-Day event okay 35 hours of
1665. 1:05:05meditation and of that meditation are
1666. 1:05:07you including mental rehearsal mental
1667. 1:05:09imagery intention is that included in
  1668. 1:05:12the 35 yeah it's a it's a it's a journey
  1669. 1:05:14yeah so you're you're thin slicing there
1670. 1:05:17are thin slices of different types of
  1671. 1:05:19meditation you're talking about yeah so
1672. 1:05:21that's one type of meditation we we do
1673. 1:05:23we do all kinds we create brain and
1674. 1:05:25heart go That's essential yeah when what
1675. 1:05:28we discovered Mike that was really crazy
1676. 1:05:30when we started when people started
1677. 1:05:32hitting these and I talk about it in the
  1678. 1:05:35documentary where they're hitting these
1679. 1:05:38high high states of gamma
1680. 1:05:40like three standard deviations outside
  1681. 1:05:43of normal when you're measuring anything
  1682. 1:05:44is 2% of the population that's very very
  1683. 1:05:47good we're
1684. 1:05:49getting high gamma coherent High gamma
  1685. 1:05:52brain wave patterns 200 300 4 400
1686. 1:05:56standard deviations outside of three is
  1687. 1:05:59an outlier so you imagine 197 more 297
1688. 1:06:03more of those little boxes this is a
  1689. 1:06:05person who's having a supernatural
1690. 1:06:07amount of order in their autonomic
  1691. 1:06:09nervous system so if
  1692. 1:06:11stress is autonomic
  1693. 1:06:14disregulation then the person who's
1694. 1:06:17functioning in that coherent highly
1695. 1:06:21regulated very intense gamma brain wave
  1696. 1:06:24state that's producing some of ecstasy
1697. 1:06:26or Bliss that's an enormous amount of
1698. 1:06:29autonomic regulation and when people hit
  1699. 1:06:32that
  1700. 1:06:33moment somehow there's an
1701. 1:06:36immediate biological upgrade in their
1702. 1:06:38body there there's the condition and now
1703. 1:06:41it's gone because the autonomic nervous
1704. 1:06:42system is controlling and coordinating
1705. 1:06:45every other system in the body right so
  1706. 1:06:47now the information that's traveling to
1707. 1:06:50the cell to the tissue to the organ to
1708. 1:06:52the system is very very coherent is very
1709. 1:06:55clear and the frequency is very fast and
1710. 1:06:58so a person somehow gets this kind of
  1711. 1:07:01upgrade now that's that's where we've
  1712. 1:07:03gotten like that's like the
  1713. 1:07:05instantaneous stuff where I'm shaking my
1714. 1:07:07head and going muscular distrophy I mean
1715. 1:07:11come on like there's no cure for
1716. 1:07:13muscular distrophy the kid came in in a
1717. 1:07:16wheelchair and he's walking out of the
1718. 1:07:17event like I'm scratching my head like
1719. 1:07:20how did that happen he he had that
1720. 1:07:23moment of arousal but the arous B was an
1721. 1:07:26enormous amount of gamma and it wasn't
1722. 1:07:28happening in his thinking neocortex it
1723. 1:07:31was happening in the lyic brain the seed
1724. 1:07:33of the autonom nervous SYM on fire and
  1725. 1:07:37that that's regulating enormous amounts
  1726. 1:07:39of order right
  1727. 1:07:41it's it's crazy yeah it's crazy I can't
1728. 1:07:46believe it I keep telling the scientists
1729. 1:07:47I can't believe this stuff and then and
1730. 1:07:49you should see the scientists because
1731. 1:07:51these are you know guys that have
  1732. 1:07:53published 200 300 papers or very
  1733. 1:07:55empirical now we're working with uh
1734. 1:07:58Harvard scientists and some Stanford
1735. 1:07:59people too and and they see the data the
1736. 1:08:03the first thing they fall out of their
1737. 1:08:05chair with is s days like a drug trial
1738. 1:08:08is you know 3 months 6 months this is
  1739. 1:08:10they're like what 7 days and it's not
  1740. 1:08:12like it's not like 10% of the population
  1741. 1:08:15it's 80% it's 70% of your population
1742. 1:08:18yeah the community it's kind of insane
1743. 1:08:20they're like what no drug no drug trial
1744. 1:08:24does that best drug trials 25% one out
1745. 1:08:27of four this is like three out of four
1746. 1:08:29like and and and I keep saying to the
1747. 1:08:31scientists where are those chemicals
1748. 1:08:36coming from where are they coming from
1749. 1:08:38where are they coming from the person's
  1750. 1:08:40not
  1751. 1:08:41ingesting anything they're not changing
  1752. 1:08:43their diet how can a person's microbiome
1753. 1:08:45in seven days be completely different
  1754. 1:08:49completely different at least 15
  1755. 1:08:52probiotic really powerful
1756. 1:08:55in in large communities changes in
  1757. 1:08:58microbiome the only answer is they're
1758. 1:09:00not the same person if they were the
  1759. 1:09:02same person they'd have the same
  1760. 1:09:03microbiome right a different a different
  1761. 1:09:06person completely different microbiome
1762. 1:09:08do you think that it's something unique
  1763. 1:09:10and special that's happening in your
1764. 1:09:12methodology or so John kabin is a mentor
1765. 1:09:16friend of mine beautiful human being and
  1766. 1:09:20um he's got a three and a 5 day
  1767. 1:09:22meditation that I'll go to and so it's
1768. 1:09:26three days of call it you know 16 hours
1769. 1:09:29of noble silence meditation and do you
1770. 1:09:32think it happens there and this is not
1771. 1:09:34about John and about Joe this is about
1772. 1:09:36the the practice of meditation
1773. 1:09:40mindfulness over an extended period of
  1774. 1:09:44time um I I think
1775. 1:09:48that uh any methodology can work as long
  1776. 1:09:52as the person understands what they're
  1777. 1:09:54doing and and why they're doing it I
  1778. 1:09:56think that's important and there's
  1779. 1:09:57elements of
1780. 1:09:59mindfulness uh in the work that we do
  1781. 1:10:02but there's a the scientists uh call it
1782. 1:10:07WTF fullness like what like what is that
1783. 1:10:12like like what is that and I honestly
1784. 1:10:15believe that um when you get in that
  1785. 1:10:18right brain State like theto you're
  1786. 1:10:20suggestible to information you're in a
  1787. 1:10:22hypnotic state right and
1788. 1:10:25you suggestibility is your ability to
  1789. 1:10:27accept information believe information
1790. 1:10:29surrender to it without analyzing it and
1791. 1:10:31somehow it it programs the subconscious
1792. 1:10:34or affects the autonomic nervous system
1793. 1:10:36but if your eyes are
1794. 1:10:38closed and you're in meditation and and
1795. 1:10:40the music filling the space and you're
1796. 1:10:42not seeing anything you're not you know
  1797. 1:10:43you're not hearing ambient sounds you're
  1798. 1:10:45not tasting you're not smelling you're
1799. 1:10:47not feeling anything with your physical
  1800. 1:10:49body but you're still suggestible to
  1801. 1:10:50information there's only one other place
1802. 1:10:53you can get information from that's free
1803. 1:10:55frequency right so get the get the
1804. 1:10:58nervous system tuned up to order and
1805. 1:11:01there's an invisible field of energy
  1806. 1:11:03that exists beyond our
1807. 1:11:05senses that we are immersed in that
  1808. 1:11:08somehow the brain can
  1809. 1:11:10transduce that frequency into
  1810. 1:11:12information in our biology
  1811. 1:11:15because 25 hours of focusing a lot of
1812. 1:11:18times on a good portion of that on
  1813. 1:11:21nothing physical and material
  1814. 1:11:25somehow there's effects dramatic effects
1815. 1:11:29in people's biology to the extent that
1816. 1:11:32the end of seven days their biology
  1817. 1:11:34looks like they're living in a whole new
  1818. 1:11:36life it looks like they're living in a
  1819. 1:11:38whole new environment and they're in a
  1820. 1:11:40ballroom and there's really nothing
  1821. 1:11:42really spectacular in a ballroom I've
1822. 1:11:44been to thousands of them they all look
1823. 1:11:46the same when you have a one week post
1824. 1:11:49trial 3 we 6 week post- trial and you
1825. 1:11:53measure checkin uh and whatever ways
1826. 1:11:55what what are you finding um happens
  1827. 1:11:58post okay I'll tell you I'll tell you
1828. 1:12:00what we we know so
  1829. 1:12:02far um HRV
1830. 1:12:06levels after uh the 7-Day event continue
1831. 1:12:11to improve for two to three weeks in
1832. 1:12:13other words we do these healings on each
1833. 1:12:16other and you got to get into this super
1834. 1:12:19altered state and we see the part go
  1835. 1:12:23completely out of order like there's a
1836. 1:12:25arousal that's insane and you see it in
  1837. 1:12:27the
  1838. 1:12:28collective that
1839. 1:12:30experience produces an emotion of love
1840. 1:12:34and joy that tends to
1841. 1:12:36linger for weeks if not months after the
  1842. 1:12:39event the person's just feelings a whole
  1843. 1:12:41different
1844. 1:12:42feeling um we see um brain coherence uh
1845. 1:12:47sustained we see um certain people not
1846. 1:12:50all of them uh their microbiome stays
1847. 1:12:53changed uh we see some people regress uh
1848. 1:12:57because they stop doing the work and
1849. 1:13:01they return back to their environment
1850. 1:13:03and their environment is controlling how
1851. 1:13:06they're feeling and controlling how
1852. 1:13:08they're thinking and controlling how
1853. 1:13:09they're acting they return back to the
1854. 1:13:11same personality and so you see this
1855. 1:13:14kind of encroachment slowly over time
1856. 1:13:16yeah of disease starting to re reoccur
1857. 1:13:20um but I think really one of the cool
1858. 1:13:22things that I'm proud about with our
  1859. 1:13:24community
  1860. 1:13:26is that people do the work and I I don't
1861. 1:13:29think they do it because they have to I
1862. 1:13:31think they do it because there's magic
1863. 1:13:33happening in their life with
  1864. 1:13:36opportunities and synchronicities and
1865. 1:13:37coincidences and and um that inspires
1866. 1:13:41them uh to want to keep the magic going
1867. 1:13:44so uh um yeah we've seen great changes
1868. 1:13:48uh and we've seen great the people who
1869. 1:13:50have those High gamma moments where
  1870. 1:13:53there's the Parkinson's and now it's
1871. 1:13:55gone those tend to be very permanent
1872. 1:13:58like we very rarely see like the there's
1873. 1:14:01a regression of the condition and and we
1874. 1:14:04we have a language expert you know that
1875. 1:14:07that at the University of Central
  1876. 1:14:09Oklahoma he's really studies the
1877. 1:14:11language of transformation and he he
1878. 1:14:13started off studying like I think it was
  1879. 1:14:16like 26 or 28 case histories of people
1880. 1:14:19that tell their testimonial their their
  1881. 1:14:22story of transformation and he's got a
1882. 1:14:24huge AI system and we were picking apart
1883. 1:14:27the language of transformation so that I
1884. 1:14:30can actually teach it better and I know
1885. 1:14:34the words then that I could use to help
1886. 1:14:36people get there easier and one of the
1887. 1:14:39main things that happens in people who
1888. 1:14:41who really fully immerse themselves is
1889. 1:14:45that the word I felt it or feel it is
1890. 1:14:48the most common word and it breaks down
1891. 1:14:50into two two uh venues one is it's very
1892. 1:14:54SU itic like I don't know what that was
1893. 1:14:58like my heart blew open the top of my
1894. 1:15:00head blew off there was lightning bolts
1895. 1:15:02coming out of my hand I could feel every
1896. 1:15:05atom in my body vibrating to a certain
1897. 1:15:07level of ORD it's very sematic like what
  1898. 1:15:09the
1899. 1:15:10hell and the other component Mike is is
1900. 1:15:13very emotional like I never felt love
  1901. 1:15:16like that before I never felt anything I
1902. 1:15:19don't even have the word to describe it
  1903. 1:15:22but as a
  1904. 1:15:23consequence of that
  1905. 1:15:25experience there's a
  1906. 1:15:28temporality like I'm not I'm not that
1907. 1:15:31person any longer like that's not me
  1908. 1:15:33that used to be that's a different
1909. 1:15:34person I'm somebody else right and so
1910. 1:15:38the the the those those High arousals
1911. 1:15:42where the person moves into those States
1912. 1:15:44uh there there's an upgrade that takes
  1913. 1:15:47biologically that that's sustained for a
1914. 1:15:49good period of time what does your
  1915. 1:15:51practice look like um so I'm a morning
  1916. 1:15:53person I'm always been a morning person
  1917. 1:15:56I I have a lot of things that I have to
  1918. 1:15:58do in one
1919. 1:16:00day my belief is that if I can get
  1920. 1:16:02myself right if I if I can overcome
1921. 1:16:04myself the beginning of the day it's
  1922. 1:16:06everybody else is
1923. 1:16:08easy so I I allow for two hours every
  1924. 1:16:11morning doesn't doesn't mean I
1925. 1:16:12necessarily take two hours but I like
  1926. 1:16:15the morning where everybody's asleep I'm
  1927. 1:16:17early
1928. 1:16:17riser I get in my think box it's really
  1929. 1:16:20important I I I'm not a i Pace I move
1930. 1:16:23around I get you know okay I think about
1931. 1:16:26the the obvious things I look at my
1932. 1:16:28calendar I get all that taken care of
1933. 1:16:30okay this that the other thing I get all
1934. 1:16:32that worked out and then then it is
1935. 1:16:34really uh me sitting down and and doing
1936. 1:16:36the work my my goal is to be the example
  1937. 1:16:39really of everything that I teach so I
1938. 1:16:41have to lead by example uh and I think
1939. 1:16:44experience is the greatest Professor so
1940. 1:16:46I'm going to I'm going to step into uh
1941. 1:16:49we we interface with the world you know
1942. 1:16:51I have a lots of Zoom calls lots of
1943. 1:16:54meetings lots of things to learn um but
1944. 1:16:57really my morning practice is getting
1945. 1:17:00myself ready for my day uh how am I
1946. 1:17:03going to face uh unexpected things and
1947. 1:17:06how long am I going to emotionally react
  1948. 1:17:08for if I react I mean it's not that you
1949. 1:17:10react question is how long you going to
1950. 1:17:12keep that going right got it yeah so so
  1951. 1:17:15then I'm there's things I'm working on
1952. 1:17:16with myself you know that I always that
1953. 1:17:18I always want to unlearn and relearn you
1954. 1:17:20know is this more um are you using your
  1955. 1:17:26a meditative practice or a Writing
1956. 1:17:27Practice no no no the morning the first
1957. 1:17:30part the think box of just looking at my
  1958. 1:17:31day is that's the known that's
  1959. 1:17:33analytical if you that's the knowns
1960. 1:17:35let's just okay I can go through that
  1961. 1:17:37very quickly then I'll say okay when I
1962. 1:17:38get done I'm going to have to read this
1963. 1:17:40stuff just to get ready or someone's
1964. 1:17:41going to brief me on it and I'll get
1965. 1:17:43ready okay but then there's Joe the
1966. 1:17:44spend on the journey right who do I want
1967. 1:17:47to be one day one lifetime yeah let me
1968. 1:17:50just see if I can let me see if I can
1969. 1:17:52embody this person let me see if I can
1970. 1:17:54keep my energy up see if I can stay in
1971. 1:17:55my heart let me see if I can really be
1972. 1:17:57present and considerate and kind and
1973. 1:17:59then the rest of the day I'm serving you
1974. 1:18:01know the rest of the day I'm busy and my
1975. 1:18:03my my ambition is to be able to to
1976. 1:18:07maintain that modified State of Mind and
1977. 1:18:09Body my entire day only for the simple
  1978. 1:18:12reason that I want the synchronicity I
1979. 1:18:14want the weird opportunity I want the
1980. 1:18:16unusual thing that caused me to go huh
  1981. 1:18:19did I really create that am I am I
1982. 1:18:22somehow in the creative process here
1983. 1:18:24instead of being the victim in my life
1984. 1:18:25that person that circumstance is
1985. 1:18:27actually controlling my feelings and
1986. 1:18:29thoughts and ultimately my behaviors
  1987. 1:18:31that's a program right so I want to
1988. 1:18:33switch from that Mo that mode into being
1989. 1:18:36the Creator so I got to get in the state
1990. 1:18:39where I can create and that means
1991. 1:18:41sometimes it takes me a little bit
1992. 1:18:43longer and sometimes it takes me like
1993. 1:18:45almost an hour to get Beyond myself but
1994. 1:18:47I'm not going to get up until I'm that
  1995. 1:18:50person and I don't care if it if I run
1996. 1:18:52over it's just in in the light of all
1997. 1:18:54the eternity that's worth it to me right
1998. 1:18:56so so I allow for those two hours
1999. 1:18:59sometimes the whole entire two hours I'm
2000. 1:19:00Inward and other times I fall into the
  2001. 1:19:03fold and you know it's it's like you
  2002. 1:19:06said you're you're there and you just
2003. 1:19:08want to elongate the moment do anything
  2004. 1:19:11except I always say memorize this
2005. 1:19:12feeling dude memorize this feeling
2006. 1:19:15memorize it bring it up keep remembering
2007. 1:19:17this this is who you are right so when I
  2008. 1:19:20when I open my
2009. 1:19:21eyes and I do do that my day is
  2010. 1:19:24differently than when when I don't and
  2011. 1:19:25and and I like the I like the
  2012. 1:19:28synchronicities I like the unknown
2013. 1:19:30experiences because it proves to me that
2014. 1:19:32I am the creator of my life at the end
2015. 1:19:34of my day it's always the same question
2016. 1:19:36how'd you do dude like how did you do
2017. 1:19:38today like yeah when'd you fall from
2018. 1:19:39grace what what person what circumstance
2019. 1:19:42when when did you lose it when did you
2020. 1:19:43go unconscious then of course the next
2021. 1:19:46question is new day tomorrow how are you
2022. 1:19:49going to think different how are you
2023. 1:19:50going to behave differently in that same
2024. 1:19:52circumstance another shot at it Joe the
2025. 1:19:54spend what would you do and if you die
  2026. 1:19:56if I don't know the answer I'm going to
2027. 1:19:57look it up and find out what what would
  2028. 1:20:00some somebody somebody
2029. 1:20:02somewhere sometime must have faced this
2030. 1:20:05and how did they do it so let me just
2031. 1:20:07learn that and then let me just let me
2032. 1:20:09integrate that into my Evolution right
  2033. 1:20:12because I what I want to do is I just
  2034. 1:20:13want to make steady
2035. 1:20:15strides in my own Evolution and
2036. 1:20:17sometimes I work on things for months
2037. 1:20:20you know just just but I know that that
2038. 1:20:22is the I know that when I change my life
  2039. 1:20:25changes I mean I know that nothing
2040. 1:20:27changes in our life until we change
2041. 1:20:29right so again if I could if I could
2042. 1:20:32work with it if it takes me two months
  2043. 1:20:34to get there uh it's always it's always
2044. 1:20:38worth the effort so what challenges you
2045. 1:20:40the most my biggest challenge is time
  2046. 1:20:42you know I I mean I do a lot of things
  2047. 1:20:44and I think it's a commodity uh but if
2048. 1:20:47I'm in the present moment uh and I'm not
2049. 1:20:50thinking about time somehow it magically
  2050. 1:20:51works so I I work a lot on that what is
2051. 1:20:54is your great anxiety am I doing enough
2052. 1:20:57yeah yeah not like in an obsessive way
2053. 1:21:01but one thing that really works well for
2054. 1:21:03me and I'm totally happy with this is
  2055. 1:21:05that I I need I just need time alone and
2056. 1:21:08I and I think that that helps me the
2057. 1:21:11most a couple quick hits yeah I am how
2058. 1:21:15do you finish that thought joyful right
2059. 1:21:18now my vision is uh to make a difference
2060. 1:21:21in the World to Change people to another
2061. 1:21:24change people in order to change the
2062. 1:21:25world relationships are most important
2063. 1:21:28thing we have my philosophy is live life
2064. 1:21:31to its fullest and that we the creator
2065. 1:21:33of our life if you could sit with one
  2066. 1:21:35master somebody that's a true master of
2067. 1:21:38self or craft who would it be and if you
2068. 1:21:41only had one question what would you ask
2069. 1:21:43well I would choose somebody that was
2070. 1:21:45enlightened whoever that would be and
  2071. 1:21:48then I would ask him what's my blind
  2072. 1:21:49spot that's all I'd want to know just
2073. 1:21:52maybe just ask your wife she probably
  2074. 1:21:53knows
2075. 1:21:55of course as one of your kids or
  2076. 1:21:57something that's what I always do to say
2077. 1:21:58to my kids how am I doing yeah how am I
2078. 1:22:00doing like so um Mastery is I think when
2079. 1:22:04you know that you know how to do
2080. 1:22:08something and you can shorten the
2081. 1:22:10distance between the thought of what you
2082. 1:22:12want and the experience of having it
2083. 1:22:14that's really cool that's my best shot
2084. 1:22:16that is speaking for my present state of
2085. 1:22:19ignorance my working philosophy is every
  2086. 1:22:21day is an
  2087. 1:22:22opportunity to create a living
2088. 1:22:24Masterpiece and each one of those words
  2089. 1:22:28matters um opportunity create a
2090. 1:22:31masterpiece and so when you think about
2091. 1:22:33a living Masterpiece what comes to mind
2092. 1:22:36for you I really like studying uh people
  2093. 1:22:39who have near-death experiences it's
2094. 1:22:42just really fascinating to me because
  2095. 1:22:43when they come back their brain's
2096. 1:22:45completely different for sure and their
  2097. 1:22:47world view is different there's nothing
  2098. 1:22:50greater than being a part of a human
  2099. 1:22:53being's transformation there's nothing
  2100. 1:22:55greater when you can
  2101. 1:22:57celebrate someone's personal change and
  2102. 1:23:00transformation and I think the greatest
2103. 1:23:02form of gratitude that we can ever
2104. 1:23:04experience is when we receive gratitude
  2105. 1:23:06from someone else I think there's an
2106. 1:23:08empathy that's innate in us that we kind
2107. 1:23:11of go we feel what that person's feeling
2108. 1:23:14when their life has changed right or
  2109. 1:23:17they're they're appreciative and I think
2110. 1:23:21our our social networks switch on I
2111. 1:23:24think we Come Together We commune we
  2112. 1:23:26connect more and I think there's a
2113. 1:23:28greater appreciation for life and so
2114. 1:23:31Mission my mission driven people are
2115. 1:23:36people who really really want to make a
  2116. 1:23:38difference in people's uh people's lives
  2117. 1:23:40and I think I think that's the highest
2118. 1:23:42form of motivation and I think people uh
2119. 1:23:45you know we see this in our work all the
2120. 1:23:46time Mike you know they people come for
2121. 1:23:48wealth they come for health they come
2122. 1:23:51for relationships they come for mystical
  2123. 1:23:52experience doesn't matter to me it
  2124. 1:23:54doesn't matter to me it's just that's
2125. 1:23:56just one experience like the people who
  2126. 1:23:59actually heal themselves they they're
2127. 1:24:01not victimized by their their their
2128. 1:24:03disease that they they tell me I would
2129. 1:24:05have never changed would have never
2130. 1:24:07changed unless I had this disease right
2131. 1:24:10and so then but what what people
2132. 1:24:13ultimately come for after they arrive at
2133. 1:24:15whatever it is they they arrive at is
  2134. 1:24:17wholeness they just want wholeness I
2135. 1:24:19mean imagine being so whole you no
2136. 1:24:21longer want how could you want when
2137. 1:24:23you're whole yeah and somehow the
2138. 1:24:26self-reported questionnaires that we do
  2139. 1:24:30around that that there's a direct
2140. 1:24:32correlation with the heart and the Brain
2141. 1:24:35you know coherence in the heart and the
  2142. 1:24:37Brain that's synchron synchronization
2143. 1:24:39that takes place and that kind of
  2144. 1:24:41explanation like I don't I'm I'm I don't
  2145. 1:24:44want anything and and I think when we're
  2146. 1:24:46in that state everybody's okay it's
2147. 1:24:49amazing you know cardiac disease is one
2148. 1:24:51of the the big killers and for folks
2149. 1:24:54that are listening that are struggling
  2150. 1:24:56with cardiac disease and they've got
  2151. 1:24:59maybe blockage they've got a
  2152. 1:25:00calcification they've got something
  2153. 1:25:02going on would you
  2154. 1:25:05suggest um because you've talked about
  2155. 1:25:07the heart a lot would you suggest a
  2156. 1:25:10daily meditation practice uh if they're
2157. 1:25:13not yours figured out would you suggest
2158. 1:25:15a healing imagery where they see the
2159. 1:25:17decalcification taking place like yeah
  2160. 1:25:20yeah I think it's more than that though
2161. 1:25:21I mean um I think there's three types of
  2162. 1:25:24stress physical chemical and emotional I
  2163. 1:25:26think there's three types of balance
  2164. 1:25:27physical chemical and emotional I work
2165. 1:25:29really hard in my life to be physically
  2166. 1:25:32balanced chemically balanced and
2167. 1:25:34emotionally balanced the hard one out of
  2168. 1:25:36the three because you know 90 75 to 90%
2169. 1:25:39of every person that walks into a health
2170. 1:25:41care facility walks in because of
2171. 1:25:43psychological and emotional stress so
2172. 1:25:45you could be visualizing all you want
2173. 1:25:47seeing your AR is clear you could be an
2174. 1:25:49emotional basket case and it's not going
2175. 1:25:52to work cuz the heart and survival and
2176. 1:25:54stress is out of balance right so so
  2177. 1:25:57there's a there's got to be the right I
  2178. 1:25:59believe me personally I believe there's
2179. 1:26:01got to be a right state that you have to
2180. 1:26:04be in to be able to have the
2181. 1:26:08visual process be the most effective uh
  2182. 1:26:11because otherwise it's trying it's
  2183. 1:26:14forcing it's wishing it's hoping it's
  2184. 1:26:17fighting it's competing that's not
  2185. 1:26:19that's lack that's like we cannot
2186. 1:26:21attract anything in our life that we
2187. 1:26:23feel separate from from so in order for
2188. 1:26:25the person to heal their heart their
2189. 1:26:28heart has to be open that their heart
2190. 1:26:29has to be activated that Center has got
  2191. 1:26:31to be
2192. 1:26:32awakened then the greatest effects that
2193. 1:26:35you can see and we've seen this with
2194. 1:26:37people the greatest effects takes place
2195. 1:26:40beyond our comprehension of how that
2196. 1:26:42little protrusion disappeared the pr how
  2197. 1:26:45did it disappear that's not it's none of
2198. 1:26:47your business the autonomic nervous
2199. 1:26:50system can manufacture chemistry like
2200. 1:26:52that's insane we've Prov proven it so
2201. 1:26:54like it's none of your business all you
2202. 1:26:56have to do is when it happens and how it
2203. 1:26:59happens is none of our business but we
2204. 1:27:01got to be in the right state right
2205. 1:27:02getting people in the right state is the
2206. 1:27:04challenge then the rehearsal the the the
2207. 1:27:08positive imagery all that stuff has the
2208. 1:27:11greatest outcome but that works better
2209. 1:27:14in children we discovered than in adults
2210. 1:27:16what works better in adults is for them
2211. 1:27:18to change if I change my heart should
2212. 1:27:21change if I change my life should change
2213. 1:27:24and and and people say um I don't know
  2214. 1:27:2780% of the tumors went away I wasn't
  2215. 1:27:29doing anything like I I was just doing
2216. 1:27:31my meditations there well of course
  2217. 1:27:33you're in
2218. 1:27:34homeostasis uh and your body's Back in
2219. 1:27:37Balance because because stress is the
  2220. 1:27:39lack of homeostasis some people's
2221. 1:27:41goals when they have a diagnosis is not
2222. 1:27:44like I'm going to heal their goal is
2223. 1:27:47like I've been out of homeostasis for
2224. 1:27:50the last 10 years my job is to get back
2225. 1:27:54into homeostasis if I get back into
2226. 1:27:56homeostasis a better shot of me healing
2227. 1:27:58now then with that comes a lot of
  2228. 1:28:00challenges like I said it's not that you
2229. 1:28:03react yeah that's how long you react you
2230. 1:28:06are more of a bottom up approach versus
2231. 1:28:09a top down yeah right create the
  2232. 1:28:11conditions create the physiological
2233. 1:28:13experience and one of the conditions is
2234. 1:28:16the neurochemistry that happens between
  2235. 1:28:17people the community so you're more of a
  2236. 1:28:19bottoms up but you're not absent of a
2237. 1:28:21top down because because a person could
  2238. 1:28:24say I'm healthy I'm healthy I'm wealthy
  2239. 1:28:26I'm wealthy I'm free I'm free I'm a
  2240. 1:28:27limit and their body's programmed and
  2241. 1:28:30their body saying no you're not you're
2242. 1:28:31miserable dude like the thought never
2243. 1:28:33passes the brain stem so that
2244. 1:28:35affirmation thing is kind of yeah but
2245. 1:28:37get a person in the right state where
  2246. 1:28:38they're feeling
2247. 1:28:40grateful oh we accept believe and
2248. 1:28:42surrender to thoughts equal to our
2249. 1:28:44emotional state so the bottom up is
  2250. 1:28:46important the top
2251. 1:28:48down is the is the is the application is
2252. 1:28:51the technique right you got to set up
2253. 1:28:54you got to set up the conditions and I
  2254. 1:28:56think I think I've I've done everything
2255. 1:28:58wrong I've made all the wrong turns like
2256. 1:29:00I've I'll try this I'll try that and and
  2257. 1:29:03so I only go I don't do any type of
  2258. 1:29:05meditation that's traditional I just
2259. 1:29:08look at the data yeah that's really
2260. 1:29:11cool um Peter said that you're just
  2261. 1:29:14going to love having a conversation I've
2262. 1:29:16known you from a distance and have
2263. 1:29:19respected the work that you're doing and
  2264. 1:29:20the mission that you're on and um I've
  2265. 1:29:23really appreciate this conversation
2266. 1:29:25Peter told me the same thing about you
  2267. 1:29:26and it's absolutely the truth and I hope
