  2. 0:04Hello Dr. Shavin.
  3. 0:05>> Hi.
  4. 0:06>> How are you doing today?
  5. 0:07>> All good.
  6. 0:07>> So, how is the campus been for you
  7. 0:09today?
  8. 0:09>> Excellent. Excellent.
  9. 0:10>> So, you have been a part of the program
  10. 0:12for the last 3 months.
  11. 0:13>> Yeah.
  12. 0:14>> What is your overview about it?
  13. 0:15>> Uh, it is like one of one of its kind of
  14. 0:19a program. Uh, initially we had uh
  15. 0:23little doubts about will this be helpful
  16. 0:25for us being a dentist and there's a
  17. 0:27management program and other things. But
  18. 0:29as the weeks progressed, we found it to
  19. 0:32be very interesting and uh uh very very
  20. 0:34useful for our clinical practice and
  21. 0:36also it's one good way to uh improve our
  22. 0:39practice and also uh it was very helpful
  23. 0:43uh we could learn many things apart from
  24. 0:45the dentistry um how to improve the
  25. 0:48revenue and how to make changes in the
  26. 0:50practice and overall uh the outlook has
  27. 0:53changed.
  28. 0:54>> Right. So you mentioning all of about
  29. 0:57the revenue and everything. So have you
  30. 0:59implemented any of these things in your
  31. 1:01practice today? Uh immediately after
  32. 1:04first two sessions we started imp
  33. 1:06implementing in the pract clinic because
  34. 1:08if at all we had any doubts we can go
  35. 1:10back and because there are multiple
  36. 1:11sessions taken by the same professor. Uh
  37. 1:13so we had doubts and we could go back
  38. 1:15and just because I felt rather than
  39. 1:17completing course and uh implementing it
  40. 1:19in the clinic right from the day one it
  41. 1:21is we inculcate in the practice. So we
  42. 1:23can at least like uh see how it brings
  43. 1:26about a ching in 3 months time kind of
  44. 1:28thing before we complete the course.
  45. 1:29>> Correct. Correct. Absolutely. Doc, so
  46. 1:31what what is this one session that you
  47. 1:33remember uh that has actually been make
  48. 1:36it made it very memorable for you.
  49. 1:39>> So all all the faculty who were uh from
  50. 1:41the dental side was uh very helpful for
  51. 1:45us because they could really connect us
  52. 1:46with the clinical part of it. Uh rest
  53. 1:49all like they're all like management
  54. 1:50gurus. Initial initially we had little
  55. 1:52tough uh uh getting into their level and
  56. 1:56understanding things but as the days
  57. 1:58progressed we found it to be very useful
  58. 2:00and we got uh adjusted to the course. uh
  59. 2:03I feel uh professor arachalams and sesh
  60. 2:06miker sir's uh programs were very
  61. 2:09helpful because being a dentist they
  62. 2:11could uh they they could we could
  63. 2:14connect better with them
  64. 2:16>> right so I'm understanding there were a
  65. 2:17lot of modules on finance as well so did
  66. 2:19that give you a little better
  67. 2:20perspective about finance
  68. 2:22>> exactly because all these days we were
  69. 2:24just looking the patient aspect and
  70. 2:25we're not bothering much of the finance
  71. 2:26because our chartered accountants were
  72. 2:28taking care now most of the work I feel
  73. 2:30we can uh do it on our own and cut down
  74. 2:33on the costs and also increase the
  75. 2:35revenue part kind of thing.
  76. 2:36>> So now that you have that uh knowledge
  77. 2:38uh do you think the investment that you
  78. 2:40made towards the program gave you the
  79. 2:42value back?
  80. 2:42>> It's worth paying whatever we paid and
  81. 2:45doing the course because that will be
  82. 2:47like a edge over the others and it'll be
  83. 2:49very helpful for whoever is joining this
  84. 2:51course. Don't think it is like a
  85. 2:53management course and uh uh avoid this.
  86. 2:57It'll be very helpful. Do something
  87. 2:59different and you learn many more apart
  88. 3:00from the dentistry. Absolutely do. So
  89. 3:03whoever is listening to this video, do
  90. 3:05you have any feedback to give to that to
  91. 3:08that dentist that you know how did it
  92. 3:10impact you or what they can do something
  93. 3:12differently?
  94. 3:13>> Whoever is practicing more than 10 years
  95. 3:15or so so they can I feel it's a good
  96. 3:18course to take up because uh it's not
  97. 3:20just BDS or MDS whoever is having a
  98. 3:23successful practice and who want to
  99. 3:24improve beyond their practice and have a
  100. 3:26multiple branches. So I uh we learned a
  101. 3:30lot from this course and also it's very
  102. 3:32it's it's a positive impact on us. So I
  103. 3:34recommend everybody to take up this
  104. 3:36course and it's one good uh opportunity
  105. 3:38for you guys to get into this campus
  106. 3:41because ISB is one of the leading uh
  107. 3:42business schools worldwide and um it's
  108. 3:46amazing kind of thing.
  109. 3:47>> Lastly, I just wanted to know what was
  110. 3:49your objective behind joining the
  111. 3:50program. So we I wanted to do something
  112. 3:52different uh because we've been
  113. 3:55attending lot of the dental
  114. 3:57courses hands-ons and other things. So I
  115. 3:59wanted to try something new and learn
  116. 4:01that two ISB and uh Shiram's initiative.
  117. 4:05So
  118. 4:07I just also wanted to learn whether I'm
  119. 4:10managing my clinic well in part of
  120. 4:12financial finances and revenue and other
  121. 4:14things. So that is where I felt um this
  122. 4:16course would be much better and I
  123. 4:18thoroughly feel that I took a good
  124. 4:20decision in joining this course kind of
  125. 4:21thing and I recommend everybody to take
  126. 4:23up this course.
  127. 4:24>> Absolutely. Did you so what I'm hearing
  128. 4:26is you reached your objective.
  129. 4:28>> Yeah truly 100% I can say.
  130. 4:31>> Absolutely. Thank you so much. Thank
  131. 4:33you. Thank you so much.
