  1. 0:00Hi doctor, how you doing?
  2. 0:01>> Hi,
  3. 0:01>> can I know your name please?
  4. 0:03>> My name is Akaya.
  5. 0:04>> Okay. And where do you practice out of?
  6. 0:06>> Uh I practice in Dubai. I am a part of a
  7. 0:11chain of dental practice. Uh we have
  8. 0:13three branches. Um and I'm also oral
  9. 0:17surgeon.
  10. 0:18>> Wow, that's amazing. So how many years
  11. 0:20have you been practicing for it?
  12. 0:21>> So uh for the past 14 years I've been
  13. 0:24practicing dentistry, but I've been in
  14. 0:26Dubai for the past three and a half
  15. 0:27years.
  16. 0:28>> Wow, that's amazing. So what are these
  17. 0:30challenges that you have been facing in
  18. 0:32your practice that made you join this
  19. 0:33program?
  20. 0:34>> So um it's basically uh I feel the
  21. 0:38practice needed some structure and some
  22. 0:41streamlining of how uh the so I feel
  23. 0:45that that it needed a foundation. So we
  24. 0:47expanded very very fast. We had three
  25. 0:49branches in about a span of 2 years. So
  26. 0:53I felt that if the foundation is not
  27. 0:54right now then when we expand further
  28. 0:57then you know it's just not going to be
  29. 0:59easy for us to manage. So I was looking
  30. 1:01for some structured course for the for
  31. 1:03this you know
  32. 1:04>> right but why now like what is this what
  33. 1:07is it that motivated you to take this up
  34. 1:08now khing has had so much experience in
  35. 1:11the past
  36. 1:12>> so we I'm experienced as oral surgeon
  37. 1:14but not as a you know somebody who runs
  38. 1:17a business
  39. 1:18>> right so basically I was looking for
  40. 1:21something which will help me with
  41. 1:23bringing in structure to the whole uh
  42. 1:27practice like you know if we open more
  43. 1:29branches I need a foundation laid so
  44. 1:32that we can just follow that template
  45. 1:33for the next practice.
  46. 1:35>> Fair. So what was this one moment in the
  47. 1:38program that we can call an aha moment
  48. 1:40for you uh across the entire program
  49. 1:42till now? So the program, the part where
  50. 1:45we were taught strategy to really sit
  51. 1:48down and jot down our thoughts on the
  52. 1:52SWAT analysis is my favorite in the
  53. 1:55program where I actually sat down and I
  54. 1:57wrote down that these are our strengths,
  55. 1:59these are our weaknesses, this is the
  56. 2:01opportunity which I can grab and these
  57. 2:03are my threats and I could really find
  58. 2:06myself sitting down and writing
  59. 2:08everything and it got me a lot of
  60. 2:10clarity in what I can do and that's what
  61. 2:12I say was the aha moment for video of
  62. 2:14the program.
  63. 2:15>> That's amazing doctor. So uh when we
  64. 2:17talk about the faculty or the entire
  65. 2:19ISB's executive education, how's the
  66. 2:21experience been? Do you think the cons
  67. 2:23you are so experienced using the faculty
  68. 2:25actually match that expertise that you
  69. 2:28know they can deliver the program that
  70. 2:29you actually found the value in?
  71. 2:31>> Definitely definitely I would say that u
  72. 2:35everybody's handpicked and uh it's too
  73. 2:38relevant and to the point. So yes.
  74. 2:41>> Okay. That's great. So doctor, what is
  75. 2:43this one takeaway that you have taken
  76. 2:45from the program and uh and you actually
  77. 2:47want to implement in your practice uh
  78. 2:50after the program?
  79. 2:51>> I would say all of it. If I can do make
  80. 2:52that happen, I think it'll be excellent.
  81. 2:55>> Okay. So um there are so many dentists
  82. 2:57who actually want to uh join a program
  83. 3:00or a little hesitant towards that. What
  84. 3:02is your one um uh advice to them that
  85. 3:05you know would help them probably make a
  86. 3:08better decision? So uh this is a program
  87. 3:10which will definitely help you create a
  88. 3:12baseline for yourself. Be it you are a
  89. 3:15practitioner under an umbrella or you
  90. 3:19are going to start out with a practice
  91. 3:20or you already are running a practice. I
  92. 3:22think it it is a program that fits to
  93. 3:24all of these categories and uh it'll
  94. 3:27help you just have a foundation and have
  95. 3:29a vision for whatever you want to do
  96. 3:31next in you know your professional life.
  97. 3:35>> Okay, that's great. So doctor uh did you
  98. 3:37find the program to be your money's
  99. 3:38worth and your time's worth for sure?
  100. 3:41>> I think so. I would say that. Yes.
  101. 3:42>> So uh when we talk about the entire fees
  102. 3:44that you paid in terms of knowledge
  103. 3:46growth or the future opportunities, do
  104. 3:49you think it was something that you got
  105. 3:50the value back?
  106. 3:51>> Yes. Yes. I I absolutely think so.
  107. 3:54>> Okay. That's great. Doctor, thank you so
  108. 3:56much for your time. That was very very
  109. 3:57helpful.
  110. 3:57>> Most welcome. Thank you.
  111. 3:58>> Thank you doctor.
