  1. 0:00So yesterday I went through this tweet.
  2. 0:01It was like a massive just almost like a
  3. 0:05diary entry, right? Just like a sort of
  4. 0:07off-the-cuff, really unfiltered. He's
  5. 0:09just talking about everything that
  6. 0:11happened with him in the last 10 years
  7. 0:13ever since he stopped playing and
  8. 0:16finding his wife and getting married and
  9. 0:18and and becoming like really closer to
  10. 0:20God and becoming a lot more religious.
  11. 0:23Now, the main part that I I didn't get
  12. 0:25to this part because it was just it was
  13. 0:27just so long. I started I was reading I
  14. 0:29was reading I was reading I was reading
  15. 0:31um and then I didn't really get to this
  16. 0:32part but this is the excerpt that uh
  17. 0:34everyone has a problem with or at least
  18. 0:35G2 had a problem with. I shouldn't say
  19. 0:37everyone. Here's how it goes. He says I
  20. 0:40don't really do politics nor have I ever
  21. 0:42even ever voted once in my life. I do
  22. 0:44have opinions and I wish I was more
  23. 0:45educated on the topic but the truth is
  24. 0:47I'm not so I stay away from it. There
  25. 0:49are some things I stand for very simple
  26. 0:51things in life but the only thing that
  27. 0:53is unshakable for me is how it's so
  28. 0:55widely accepted in public is abortion. I
  29. 0:57cannot comprehend how people do not
  30. 0:59understand that it is a murder as life
  31. 1:01is created at conception. That is one
  32. 1:03view I will die by and never change. So
  33. 1:06then again, I don't like Trump or Kla.
  34. 1:07Honestly, both are pretty [ __ ] bad
  35. 1:08and horrible choices to be rulers of the
  36. 1:10most powerful country in the world. But
  37. 1:11that's a whole different topic. Okay.
  38. 1:14After he made this massive post, [ __ ] I
  39. 1:17shouldn't have accepted. I should have
  40. 1:18just declined so I can go over this. But
  41. 1:20G2 terminated him. Okay. Um G2
  42. 1:24terminated him. They made this statement
  43. 1:26and uh cue the most insane online
  44. 1:30discussion ever. Now, I mean, what what
  45. 1:33do I personally believe? I'm obviously I
  46. 1:36shouldn't say obviously. I don't know if
  47. 1:37this is a surprise, but I am
  48. 1:39pro-abortion. I think that it is a
  49. 1:41woman's choice. Um I don't believe that
  50. 1:43life is created at conception, and I
  51. 1:46don't think the science backs that.
  52. 1:48However, if you believe that to be the
  53. 1:49case, I think that is completely in your
  54. 1:51right to choose not to to get an
  55. 1:53abortion, right? Uh where I have a
  56. 1:55problem with it is when you're dictating
  57. 1:56what other people can and can't do. Um
  58. 1:58and I think that is a massive overstep.
  59. 2:00Like if we if there are different
  60. 2:02beliefs on it, then I think that Perks
  61. 2:05is well within his right to be a
  62. 2:07Catholic and to and if him and his if he
  63. 2:09impregnated his wife and they were not
  64. 2:11comfortable with getting an abortion,
  65. 2:12that is completely their choice. I think
  66. 2:15where people have an issue with what he
  67. 2:17said
  68. 2:19is where he is essentially
  69. 2:23uh
  70. 2:24insinuating or or heavily implying or
  71. 2:27essentially just outright flatly saying
  72. 2:29that people who get abortions are
  73. 2:31murderers. Um, and if we're not if we're
  74. 2:35going to get completely away from the
  75. 2:36politics of it all, where this would
  76. 2:38actually completely ruin his chances of
  77. 2:40holding a job, especially a public
  78. 2:42facing job like a head coach, is that G2
  79. 2:45is a business. And so, so just remove
  80. 2:48any sort of like your political biases
  81. 2:49and stuff like that, and just just just
  82. 2:51completely just think about it from a a
  83. 2:53totally practical standpoint here. G2 is
  84. 2:57a business that does business with a lot
  85. 3:00of women.
  86. 3:01There are sponsors that are going to be
  87. 3:03women. There are people that are in
  88. 3:04business relationships with G2 that are
  89. 3:05going to be women. There are employees
  90. 3:08and players under the G2 umbrella that
  91. 3:10are women. And if you have a head coach
  92. 3:12that is publicly
  93. 3:14going into the most politically
  94. 3:16sensitive topic in the world, and this
  95. 3:19has got to be top two, top three most
  96. 3:21politically sensitive topics in the
  97. 3:22world and outright saying that people
  98. 3:24who support abortion are murderers or
  99. 3:25people who have had abortions are
  100. 3:27murderers.
  101. 3:28Why are you then surprised that you got
  102. 3:30fired? How is that? How is that? You are
  103. 3:34you are actually such a massive
  104. 3:36liability to the company. There is going
  105. 3:38to be millions of dollars that are going
  106. 3:39to be blocked off for you business-wise
  107. 3:42because you have this outspoken person
  108. 3:45that is the face of your league team
  109. 3:46saying this stuff. I don't think that
  110. 3:48it's surprising at all. It is a very
  111. 3:51unwise thing for Perks. so irresponsible
  112. 3:53for him to have tweeted this and and so
  113. 3:56when he got terminated, G2 got a lot of
  114. 3:59backlash, right? G2 got a ton of
  115. 4:00backlash because it was like what
  116. 4:02happened to freedom of speech? Uh, you
  117. 4:05know, I but like once again I like I I
  118. 4:08don't even really want to like get into
  119. 4:09this whole like morality slop and like
  120. 4:13you know like we could like people could
  121. 4:14argue endlessly about the morality, the
  122. 4:18ethics of abortion and this and that.
  123. 4:21Um, but I'm talking about a purely
  124. 4:23business perspective.
  125. 4:25They pay perks 150k a year, probably
  126. 4:29less. Between a 100, let's say they pay
  127. 4:31them between 100 and 200k a year, right?
  128. 4:33G2 employs them. And G2 is a business
  129. 4:37and they are definitely going to be
  130. 4:39losing a lot of business relationships
  131. 4:42with any woman that that comes across
  132. 4:44this, and they will come across this.
  133. 4:47Um,
  134. 4:49it's a PR disaster. And and I think it's
  135. 4:51nowhere like more guaranteed to be a FGR
  136. 4:53disaster, guys, uh than like read what
  137. 4:57G2 said. I think I think like the
  138. 4:58biggest tell for me is what G2 said. So,
  139. 5:00I'll just I'll just read it really fast.
  140. 5:02Last night, like many of you, we saw the
  141. 5:04statement shared by G2 head coach by the
  142. 5:06G2 head coach of one of our teams. G2 is
  143. 5:08a diverse international organization
  144. 5:09with different people from all around
  145. 5:10the world, blah blah blah. I don't even
  146. 5:11need to read this entire thing.
  147. 5:13Actually, [ __ ] it. It's just a it's the
  148. 5:15the the point I'm trying to make is that
  149. 5:17G2 doesn't even outright say that they
  150. 5:21are pro-life or sorry, they don't
  151. 5:23outright say that they're pro-choice.
  152. 5:25They don't even want to get into
  153. 5:28essentially like G2 is not even trying
  154. 5:29to take a stance on this. They just want
  155. 5:31to be apolitical and Perks
  156. 5:34invited a massive political discussion
  157. 5:37around G2 which G2 definitely doesn't
  158. 5:39want. So, do you guys understand what I
  159. 5:41mean by like it doesn't even really
  160. 5:43matter which side that you take or like
  161. 5:45what stance that you take on abortion?
  162. 5:47Like I think that that Perks massively
  163. 5:52is a massive liability to the company.
  164. 5:53Like he like what he did is just so
  165. 5:55[ __ ] stupid. Like you know what I
  166. 5:57mean? Like just just shut your mouth and
  167. 5:59focus on the game, right? Like it it's
  168. 6:02absolutely insane. Like they don't even
  169. 6:05try to do any sort of moral grand
  170. 6:07standing here in their in their post. I
  171. 6:09don't even think they they mention perks
  172. 6:11by name.
  173. 6:14Yeah. I just I I actually am just like
  174. 6:19I I don't think it's really that
  175. 6:20surprising. I mean I I think it's
  176. 6:22hilarious and I I made a joke tweet
  177. 6:24about this earlier where like you start
  178. 6:27the post by like I don't really do
  179. 6:29politics and then you drop your opinion
  180. 6:33on one of the most politically sensitive
  181. 6:35topics. So, like, how are you then
  182. 6:38surprised if five minutes later there's
  183. 6:40thousands of people discussing your
  184. 6:41opinion when you're that outspoken about
  185. 6:44it?
  186. 6:45It's And then earlier in this tweet too,
  187. 6:48earlier in this tweet, he is talking
  188. 6:50about, "I've been very distant." Okay,
  189. 6:52the very first thing he says, "I've been
  190. 6:53very distant from social media and
  191. 6:54public touch for many years, and my life
  192. 6:57has been a lot more peaceful and
  193. 6:58enjoyable since." Is it not just so
  194. 7:01ironic? Like I just it's not that it
  195. 7:05shouldn't be funny, but like I think it
  196. 7:06is a little bit kind of it's like a
  197. 7:09little bit amusing to me that like the
  198. 7:11first thing he says is life has been so
  199. 7:13much more peaceful and enjoyable since I
  200. 7:15stopped posting on social media. Then
  201. 7:18his first post back is the exact
  202. 7:21opposite. It brings the exact opposite
  203. 7:23of peaceful and enjoyable. It is all out
  204. 7:26war on Twitter. It is all out just
  205. 7:28arguments back and forth. It immediately
  206. 7:30made him lose his job within 24 hours.
  207. 7:34Brother, I I don't know how to tell you
  208. 7:36this, but I think that Perks, you you
  209. 7:38are much better served staying away from
  210. 7:41social media. That is the only thing
  211. 7:43that I would ever tell him. Um, and I
  212. 7:46think he knows that. I think I think he
  213. 7:47genuinely knows that. I think he
  214. 7:48understands that. I think he saw what
  215. 7:49happened with Oscot and then with him
  216. 7:52and and deep down I think that he knows
  217. 7:54this. So,
  218. 7:56uh, hopefully this is just a learning
  219. 7:58lesson for
