  1. 0:00Well, the experts are unanimous. We are
  2. 0:02all doomed. You need to stock up on
  3. 0:04food, water, gasoline, ammo as soon as
  4. 0:07possible. Pay $10,000 for a generator.
  5. 0:09Don't forget to build a solar-powered
  6. 0:11farmhouse somewhere far away from the
  7. 0:13city just in case, you know, the fuel
  8. 0:14supply completely runs out and or the
  9. 0:16Chinese detonate an EMP over your
  10. 0:18neighborhood or something like that.
  11. 0:19These are all basic steps that you
  12. 0:21should be taking right now so that in
  13. 0:23the event of a total catastrophe, you
  14. 0:25won't be overtaken by the inevitable
  15. 0:27zombie horde that results. So, at least
  16. 0:29not right away. These are the kinds of
  17. 0:30messages that we have all been bombarded
  18. 0:32with. I've been bombarded with over the
  19. 0:34past few days as the algorithm has
  20. 0:36decided to confront me and I think many
  21. 0:38of us with every imaginable doomsday
  22. 0:41scenario all at once. Now, on one level,
  23. 0:43this is nothing new. There's always been
  24. 0:44a market for hysteria and paranoia. Fear
  25. 0:48is, as we know, a lucrative industry.
  26. 0:50And now this market is bigger than ever
  27. 0:52thanks to amplification from the various
  28. 0:54big tech platforms. You know, if you
  29. 0:56interact with just one post on X about
  30. 0:58how, say, the UK government is telling
  31. 1:00people to prepare for an emergency, as I
  32. 1:02did, then, as I was, you will be quickly
  33. 1:05overwhelmed with all of this kind of
  34. 1:07stuff. And this is what my feed looks
  35. 1:09like right now, more or less. It's just
  36. 1:11full-on apocalyptic, non-stop. Every
  37. 1:14story is something along these lines.
  38. 1:16Once you're swept up by the algorithm,
  39. 1:18it just it just floods you with a
  40. 1:21firehose of doom slop. And this is how
  41. 1:23the algorithm works, of course. You
  42. 1:24interact with one kind of piece of
  43. 1:26content and it just feeds you only that
  44. 1:29for weeks at a time. And as you can see,
  45. 1:31various governments, as we are seeing on
  46. 1:33X, including America and the UK, are
  47. 1:35warning of an impending disaster. The
  48. 1:37power grid's about to get wiped out, and
  49. 1:39so on. There's no way to see content
  50. 1:41like this day after day and remain
  51. 1:43unaffected by it. Even if you are a
  52. 1:44rational person, as I try to be on my
  53. 1:47good days, anyway, it still it gets in
  54. 1:49your
