- 20:22Why? Because I'm gonna be on TV. Sh
- 20:27bubble bath. Why? Because Sarah is going
- 20:31to interview me.
- 20:34Why? Because she's doing a new story
- 20:37about former villains who have
- 20:38transformed their lives.
- 20:41Why? Because people like to watch stuff
- 20:44like that.
- 20:46Why?
- 20:48Because it makes them feel all warm and
- 20:50fuzzy.
- 20:53Why?
- 20:55because it triggers dopamine responders
- 20:57and the pe-sized brains of all the gum
- 20:59chewing simpleans out there who have got
- 21:02nothing better to do than throw their
- 21:03lives away by sitting in front of a
- 21:05screen all day.
- 21:09Look, Papa, I'm Santa Claus.
- 21:15Were you even listening? No.
- 21:22Ding dong doorbell. Huh?

- 21:48I don't want any distractions today.
- 21:51Sarah is going to be here soon. Splash
- 21:54splash.
- 21:55Besides, that Molly kid is a little
- 21:58strange, if you ask me.
- 22:01I am.
- 22:04Why didn't you tell me she was already
- 22:06here? I forgot.
- 22:10Look, I'm sorry I called you strange,
- 22:12but the truth is [snorts]
- 22:15you're both a little strange when you
- 22:17play together.
- 22:22Last week you both spent one whole day
- 22:24making up songs about diarrhea.
- 22:27Oh yeah, [laughter]
- 22:30that wasn't strange. That was hilarious.
- 22:34Not when you do it for 9 hours.
- 22:37[laughter]
- 22:42[laughter]
- 22:46All right, look. You can stay and play
- 22:48downstairs, but I don't want to hear a
- 22:51peep out of you kids. Do you hear me?
- 22:54Not a peep. Okay, Papa.
- 23:00Let's go. Bye, Wally.
- 23:05Beep beep.
- 23:07[groaning]
- 23:09I'm serious. I don't want you kids
- 23:12messing everything up today. We won't.
- 23:21We're probably going to mess everything
- 23:23up today, aren't we? Yeah, probably.
- 23:28Chapter 7. A bunch of stuff that
- 23:31happened next.
- 23:35Meanwhile, shaker shaker sha mayor's new
- 23:38rose garden. Keep out, especially
- 23:41Dogman.
- 23:44Sh.
- 23:45[laughter]
- 23:47Hospital.
- 23:51Dingdong.
- 23:53Huh? Oh, look. A pile of slobbery roses.
- 23:57I'll wash these off and give them to my
- 23:59patients.
- 24:01That will cheer everyone up.
- 24:08Meanwhile, what do you mean no longer
- 24:11available?
- 24:13Uh well, Living Spray was banned due to
- 24:16complaints, right? And they stopped
- 24:18making Canary grow after the factory was
- 24:21destroyed in book number five. Right.
- 24:24This is an outrage.
- 24:28Let's take our business elsewhere.
- 24:35Meanwhile, hi, I'm Sarah Hat off.
- 24:39Welcome to my show. Oh, hi ADHD.
- 24:44Today we're at the home of Pety the cat.

- 24:51a very bad reputation.
- 24:54He was known across the continent as the
- 24:57world's most evilst cat.
- 25:01But all of that has changed.
- 25:04Today, Petey is an upstanding citizen
- 25:08and an ambassador for altruism.
- 25:12Let's meet him now. Here's Pey
- 25:16Oprah's book club.
- 25:19Well, hello Sarah. What a surprise.
- 25:22[snorts]
- 25:24And how are you, little doggy?

- 25:36widely known as a villain,
- 25:40a ruthless bad guy, [snorts]
- 25:44an evil, scheming, good for nothing
- 25:46scoundrel. But you've changed.
- 25:50Yeah. And tell me why.
- 25:55>> Well, I uh

- 31:10No. But but then something changed,
- 31:14didn't it?
- 31:16Are you going to let me talk? Certainly.
- 31:21Okay. All of those things did happen.
- 31:25But that's not why I became a bad guy.
- 31:29Then why, Pety? Why did you turn to the
- 31:32dark side?
- 31:34>> Well, I sinkle
- 31:37[singing] little fart blew my
- 31:42blasting from my butt so loud
- 31:46>> like a diarinkle
- 31:50stinkle little heart.
- 31:56What is wrong with you two? We're
- 31:59thirsty.
- 32:01Yeah, potato chips can get pretty dry if
- 32:04you don't have chip dip.
- 32:07No offense.
- 32:10All right. All right. Walk this way.
- 32:14Roar. Stomp. Stomp. Stop. Stop. Stop.
- 32:17What are you doing now? We're walking
- 32:20like you.
- 32:34And so we have apple juice and cranberry
- 32:38apple. Shaker shake shaker.
- 32:43Hey Wall-E,
- 32:45[snorts] do you got any real cups? Sippy
- 32:48cups are for babies.
- 32:51Last week, you kids spilled cherry juice
- 32:53all over the couch. So, no, it's either
- 32:56sippy cups or nothing.
- 33:02Cups. All right, then.
- 33:08And don't leave them lying around on the
- 33:10floor.
- 33:16I'm tired of picking up after you, too.
- 33:23Boy, Wall-E sure is a grouch today.
- 33:26I wonder why.
- 33:30Oh, today was supposed to be about Pey,
- 33:33and nobody's letting him get a word in.
- 33:35Although, I got to say, little Pey and
- 33:37Molly have quite the singing voices. On
- 33:40to the next chapter.
- 33:42Chapter nine, the bad old days.
- 33:48We're back with Petey the Cat,
- 33:52but instead of telling us his story,
- 33:54he's going to show us. For the record, I
- 33:58think this is a bad idea.
- 34:03Why? We've got these kids with us.
- 34:06They're going to ruin everything.
- 34:09He's right. This is a bad idea.
- 34:13Oh, come on, Petey. Show us your story.
- 34:19Well, okay. I got into trouble when I
- 34:22was younger. I made some bad choices
- 34:27and I got caught by Dogman. No, it was
- 34:32before Dogman.
- 34:34This is the first jail they sent me to.
- 34:38Jail for Cats. US Department of Kitty
- 34:40Corrections.
- 34:43So, I served my time
- 34:47and I tried to do good.
- 34:51The seven habits of highly effective
- 34:53cats. But when I finally got out,
- 34:58I couldn't get a job. Employment office.
- 35:01No jailbirds. Punt.
- 35:05I couldn't find a home. Four rent. No
- 35:08excons. Boot.
- 35:11And nobody would give me a second
- 35:13chance. Second chance diner. No
- 35:16recidivists. Bop.
- 35:20Everywhere I went, people just saw the
- 35:22bad in me.
- 35:26Get lost, you criminal.
- 35:30Let anyone of ye who is without sin,
- 35:34be the first to kick me out.
- 35:43Is that why you returned to a life of
- 35:45crime?
- 35:48What choice did I have? No matter how
- 35:51hard I tried.
- 35:54Nobody would let me forget who I used to
- 35:57be.
- 36:01Meanwhile, Petey and son
- 36:09Hey, robot. I don't think anybody is

- 40:34The malic acid in that apple juice
- 40:38must have corroded his electro gizzards.
- 40:41He'll probably be okay, though.
- 40:45Gulp. [screaming]
- 40:47Munch. Munch.
- 40:54Well, goodbye, Grandpa. So long, buddy.
- 41:01>> Splash.
- 41:03I can't swim in this apple juice. Just

- 41:09See, we're fine. Splish splash. Sploosh.
- 41:19What are you smiling about? You called
- 41:22me buddy. No, I didn't. Yes, you did. I
- 41:27did not.
- 41:30Yeah, you did, too. [screaming]
- 41:32>> Did not.
- 41:35>> Meanwhile,
- 41:36>> take me out to the bathroom.
- 41:40Take me out to go poo.
- 41:44My duty smells just like rotten eggs and
- 41:48it's starting to run down my legs. Oh,
- 41:52if we don't get to the bathroom
- 41:56>> and we can't find the door, there'll be
- 42:00one, two, three pound of poo on the
- 42:03bathroom floor.
- 42:10>> What is your problem? [laughter] H
- 42:14>> actually we do have to go to the
- 42:16bathroom.
- 42:17>> Yeah, seriously.
- 42:21And so
- 42:266 minutes later.
- 42:27>> Flush. Flush. You kids better quit
- 42:30goofing around. It's getting late.
- 42:33[snorts] Where are we going now, Petey?
- 42:36To where it all began.
- 42:39Chapter 11. Where it all began. Happy
- 42:42Home Shelter, where kindness rules.
- 42:46If you really want to know why I changed
- 42:48from bad to good, it all starts here.
- 42:53This is where my mom and I lived after
- 42:55my dad left.
- 42:58We arrived with almost nothing.
- 43:03And things were pretty tough. Bus stop.
- 43:10tick. We didn't have much money or food,
- 43:13but my mom was always hopeful.
- 43:20We still have love
- 43:23and love lasts forever and ever.
- 43:29Hey, Papa. How come I have a bandage on
- 43:32my tail?
- 43:34That's not you. That's me when I was
- 43:37little.
- 43:39Oh.
- 43:41So anyway, it was hard on both of us
- 43:47and I didn't always handle it well.
- 43:55But my mother always forgave me
- 44:01and she never gave up on me.
- 44:07Through it all, her love was so strong
- 44:13that it survived even after she passed
- 44:16away.
- 44:21[snorts]
- 44:22Even after all of the mistakes I made.
- 44:33And then one day
- 44:36when I least expected it,
- 44:39cloning machine start DNA. Her love
- 44:43became something new.
- 44:46Huh? That's me, right, Papa? Yep, that's
- 44:51you. I didn't recognize it at first,
- 44:57but my mother's love was there,
- 45:03staring me right in the face,
- 45:08still believing in me,
- 45:12still forgiving me,
- 45:18and never giving up hope.
- 45:24Sometimes love is so strong it really
- 45:27does last forever and ever.
- 45:33Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle.
- 45:36Are you saying that love is eternal and
- 45:40even though its metaphysical
- 45:41characteristics may change, its
- 45:43invariable nature will remain pure,
- 45:45inspiring even the most hardened soul to
- 45:48transform into a benevolent altruist?
- 45:55Um,
- 45:56sure, why not?
- 45:59I couldn't have said it better myself.
- 46:03Well, that's the end of our show, folks.
- 46:05And what a wonderful ending it was.
- 46:10I can't think of anything that could
- 46:12ruin this delightful ending.
- 46:16Grab.
- 46:20[snorts]
- 46:21Well, okay. Maybe one thing.
- 46:25[groaning]
- 46:27Whoa, Petey finally opened up. That was
- 46:30so awesome. But I just got to say, uh,
- 46:33new rule, nobody takes their eyes off
- 46:35grandpa. That dude is nothing but
- 46:38trouble. On to the next chapter.
- 46:42Chapter 12. Big fight. [laughter]
- 46:47[screaming]
- 46:53Splash.
- 46:56Are you guys okay?
- 46:58Yeah, I think so.
- 47:01Don't worry gang, I'll save the day.
- 47:12Hey, you big lugs, let go of my friends.
- 47:16[laughter]
- 47:18All right, you asked for it.
- 47:22Molly used her psychoinetic mind powers
- 47:24on the first sippy cup
- 47:30and it was working.
- 47:35But the second sippy cup got an idea.
- 47:40Carefully it aimed its nose.
- 47:47[groaning and screaming]
- 47:48Whoosh.
- 47:53Crash.
- 47:58Ow.
- 47:59Huh? Oh no.

- 48:08Meanwhile, cops. Scrubble. Scribble.
- 48:12Scribble.
- 48:19Crumple. crumple.

- 48:29She says she needs you to
- 48:32Come on, dog man. Now's our chance.
- 48:42Oh boy, this is gonna be
- 48:48screech.
- 48:52Oh no. I'll help evacuate the hospital.
- 48:56You fight those sippy cups.
- 48:59Salute.
- 49:01Good luck, dog man.
- 49:10[crying]
- 49:10Click. [snorts]
- 49:12random
- 49:21defect.
- 49:25So anyway,
- 49:31clench

- 49:40ready.
- 49:47[groaning]
- 49:54Wow. Ah,
- 50:00while Dogman duped it out with one sippy
- 50:03cup,
- 50:05the other sippy cup was bent on
- 50:08destruction.
- 50:11Crash
- 50:14[groaning and screaming] rumble, rumble,
- 50:15rumble.
- 50:20It's going to destroy the hospital and
- 50:23there's no time to evacuate.
- 50:29You know what we must do?
- 50:33Yes.
- 50:41[screaming] Aw.

- 51:18Well, I guess we're doomed.
- 51:21Yeah, but it wasn't all bad. At least I
- 51:24got to hold your hand.
- 51:29Bark bark bark bark. What's Dogman
- 51:31barking about? What do you want, Dogman?
- 51:34Bark bark bark bark.
