- 0:04i know a lot of friends of mine if they
- 0:06see someone wearing xyz they want to get
- 0:09the same thing i follow people and then
- 0:11i'm like oh my god i want that and i
- 0:12want that and i spend way more i need to
- 0:15get rid of instagram because that is the
- 0:16worst if i love a brand and i see an
- 0:19influencer who i know
- 0:20i will buy from it but if i see like a
- 0:22random influencer with a random brand i
- 0:25won't i'm a bit old for social media
- 0:27influencers however
- 0:29i did buy this mascara today because of
- 0:32a social media influencer so they go so
- 0:34i'm not i'm not immune to this to the
- 0:36influences i try to avoid the kind of
- 0:39more mainstream like ex-love island
- 0:41people personally like pretty little
- 0:43thing boohoo it's like
- 0:44brands that i 100 avoid the one that's
- 0:46come to mind only because we were
- 0:48talking about it this morning um in uni
- 0:51was the whole
- 0:52um
- 0:54pretty little thing kind of move to hire
- 0:57molly may those clothes when they've
- 0:59been reviewed are completely different
- 1:00to how they looked online and on her i'm
- 1:03gonna be
- 1:04wise about my decisions and not go out
- 1:06and spend all this crazy money because
- 1:08i've seen it online but there's a part
- 1:11of me that's like oh hmm like i could
- 1:13try that out but then i think
- 1:16like the sensible part of my brain like
- 1:18overpowers that and like no that's a
- 1:20ridiculous purchase you don't need that
- 1:22let's say you look at a platform like
- 1:24instagram for example obviously you've
- 1:25got instagram shopping channels so you
- 1:27can literally directly shop
- 1:30from a feed you can literally be like oh
- 1:32let me tap on the photo there's the
- 1:34description click on it and it goes
- 1:35straight to the consumer purchase page
- 1:38right that really is a good way to get
- 1:40people to buy online and also seeing the
- 1:42way that people wear things for example
- 1:44let's say it's clothes you might see
- 1:46someone you like wearing something nice
- 1:48and you're like oh this looks really
- 1:49cool i want it social media is basically
- 1:52a trend like social media has always had
- 1:54an impact on the world we live in today
- 1:56especially because everything is so well
- 1:59connected so you're able to see the
- 2:00latest shoes the latest jackets the
- 2:02latest this and that is that
- 2:03but the crazy thing about it is you're
- 2:05able to see your favorite people in
- 2:07those things as well i definitely feel
- 2:09distrustful of influences so
- 2:12you know i think they do get better
- 2:14versions of clothes especially if it's
- 2:18these brands like pretty little thing
- 2:20and like boohoo and all of that kind of
- 2:22stuff maybe have they even tried the
- 2:24products before they're selling them are
- 2:27they just
- 2:28doing this for a paycheck
- 2:30not because they actually enjoy the
- 2:32products so i am very wary for sure
