- 0:01Amen. A few weeks ago, Andrés Fajardo
- 0:06gave us a message about the search that
- 0:10every person has for happiness and he
- 0:13concluded his message by saying that
- 0:17what will truly make us happy is the
- 0:20happiness of God. And I remember that
- 0:25he gave us four things that make God
- 0:29happy, but one of them caught my
- 0:33attention. He said that when a sinner
- 0:38repents. And it caught my attention
- 0:42because it reminded me of the day I
- 0:45came to know the heart of God, because
- 0:49at the center of the universe there is
- 0:52a God of love who weeps for each person
- 0:56who is going to hell. That happened, I
- 1:00remember well, in 1984. I remember that
- 1:08day I was broken like never before in
- 1:11my entire life, because I experienced
- 1:14that he put his heart in me for a few
- 1:18minutes and it is a heart that weeps
- 1:21for the lost and what happened to me
- 1:27that day marked me forever and I
- 1:32consecrated my life totally to him. I
- 1:36told him that I would do whatever was
- 1:38necessary to save as many people as
- 1:43possible. And it is the pain in my gut
- 1:48that has led me to be who I am and do
- 1:52everything that I do. I remember that
- 1:57day the preacher told us about two sons
- 2:00of a pastor who had turned away from
- 2:03God. And one day one of those sons went
- 2:09to a party and got drunk, got in his
- 2:12car and drove off into the abyss and
- 2:15died. And this affected that pastor so
- 2:19much, because his son had not only
- 2:25turned away from God, but he had died
- 2:28drunk. And in First Corinthians 6:10 it
- 2:33says that drunkards will not inherit
- 2:35heaven. And his pain was so great that
- 2:43for that reason he left his position as
- 2:46pastor. And for months, every night, he
- 2:52would go to a corner of his house and
- 2:55cry and cry and cry. That one day he
- 3:00had an encounter with the Lord and He
- 3:03told him, "What you feel for one son
- 3:06that you lost is what I feel for the
- 3:09thousands and thousands who die daily
- 3:16without knowing me because hell awaits
- 3:19them." And that night, in the midst of
- 3:26his mourning, that pastor knew the
- 3:29heart of God, he got up and made the
- 3:33decision to continue living and instead
- 3:36made the decision to rescue thousands
- 3:40of people for that only son that the
- 3:44devil had taken from him. He said to
- 3:47the devil, "You took one from me." Well
- 3:50, I'm going to take thousands from you.
- 3:54And he dedicated the rest of his life
- 3:57to evangelizing the lost. Well, in the
- 4:01Bible we find a very similar case, it
- 4:04is that of the prophet Hosea, because
- 4:10he spent his time, just like this
- 4:13pastor, crying every night in a corner
- 4:17of his house, because his wife, a woman
- 4:21he had rescued from prostitution, had
- 4:24returned to her past loves. But one of
- 4:30those nights, while he was crying
- 4:33inconsolably, he heard someone else
- 4:36crying, so he got up and ran to his
- 4:38children's room to see if it was one of
- 4:41his children, but no. They were asleep.
- 4:49So he returned to his usual place and
- 4:55remembered the good times he had had
- 4:58with his wife. But then he remembered
- 5:04the day she had left him, and once
- 5:07again the sadness returned, and he was
- 5:10broken and wept. And again he heard
- 5:15someone weeping. But this time he heard
- 5:19what was being said. It's in Hosea 11:
- 5:228. Oh, Israel, how could I forsake you?
- 5:31How could I let you go? How could I
- 5:35destroy you or demolish you? My heart,
- 5:40God says, is torn within me, and my
- 5:45compassion overflows. It was God who
- 5:51was weeping for Israel. The same pain
- 5:57that Hosea was experiencing for a woman
- 6:02at the center of the universe. Every
- 6:06day there is a God of love who weeps
- 6:10for the thousands and thousands who die
- 6:13without knowing Him. And in Israel's
- 6:20case he was weeping for the thousands
- 6:22who had forsaken him. The pain in
- 6:29Hosea's heart for this woman that he
- 6:33had rescued from sin, that he had loved
- 6:36and beautified with his words, was the
- 6:40pain that God felt for his people. Oh,
- 6:46Israel, how could I forsake you? My
- 6:50heart is torn within me, and my
- 6:55compassion overflows. But it's the same
- 7:01pain that Jesus felt when he saw
- 7:04Jerusalem and the Bible says he wept.
- 7:08Luke 3:34. Oh, Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
- 7:13the city that kills the prophets and
- 7:15stones the messengers of God! How often
- 7:20I have longed to gather your children
- 7:23together as a hen gathers her chicks
- 7:26under her wings, but you would not let
- 7:31me. And that night God opened his heart
- 7:37to Hosea. Imagine that. And he told him
- 7:41about his pain. It's in Hosea 11: 1-4.
- 7:46He said to him, "When Israel was a
- 7:49child, I loved him and called my son
- 7:51out of Egypt. But the more I called him
- 7:55, the further he went from me. He
- 7:59sacrificed to Baal and burned incense
- 8:05to idols. I taught Israel how to walk,
- 8:13as a father teaches his children to
- 8:15walk, leading them by the hand. But he
- 8:20does not know or care that I was the
- 8:23one who cared for him. I guided Israel
- 8:27with my cords of tenderness and love. I
- 8:31took the yoke from his neck and bent
- 8:37down to feed him myself." It's the same
- 8:41thing a man or a woman feels when their
- 8:48husband or wife has been unfaithful.
- 8:53It's the same thing God feels when we
- 8:56give our hearts to other gods, to false
- 9:00idols. Isaiah wrote a song precisely
- 9:07about the pain in God's heart for his
- 9:12people. It's in chapter 5, verses 1-4.
- 9:18Isaiah says, "Now I will sing to him
- 9:22whom I love." I love, it refers to God,
- 9:27and I will sing a song about his
- 9:29vineyard. "He was referring to Israel,
- 9:32which today would be the church. My
- 9:37beloved, that is, God had a vineyard on
- 9:40a rich and fertile hill. He made the
- 9:44soil, cleared away the stones, and
- 9:47planted the best vines in it. And in
- 9:51the middle of his vineyard he built a
- 9:54watchtower and carved a winepress out
- 9:56of the nearby rocks. Then he expected a
- 10:02harvest of sweet grapes, but the grapes
- 10:08that grew were bitter. And then God
- 10:16says," Now you, people of Jerusalem and
- 10:19Judah, judge between me and my vineyard
- 10:23. What more could I do for my vineyard
- 10:29that I have not already done? "" And
- 10:34this is what God says about those who
- 10:36are being unfaithful to Him today. What
- 10:40else? What else do you want Me to do
- 10:42for you? Why? When I expected sweet
- 10:50grapes, my vineyard gave me bitter
- 10:55grapes. In case you didn't know, God
- 11:01has emotions. He feels, and when He
- 11:07made human beings, He did so because He
- 11:11wanted to have a relationship of
- 11:14friendship, of friends with us. That's
- 11:20why, unlike animals, we were created in
- 11:24His image and likeness. God is a person
- 11:31. Everything you have, everything you
- 11:35feel, God feels. But in order to
- 11:43experience the pleasure of loving and
- 11:48being loved, He gave us free will, that
- 11:54is, the freedom to love Him or reject
- 12:00Him. God took a risk. And I want you to
- 12:07think about that word. God took a risk
- 12:12because the probability of loving Him
- 12:16or rejecting Him was 50-50. So, in
- 12:22order to experience the pleasure of
- 12:25loving and being loved, God took a risk
- 12:27. However, the Bible shows us that He
- 12:35hoped that His creation would turn out
- 12:42well, but It wasn't like that. Genesis
- 12:49chapter 6 verses 5 to 6 says, when the
- 12:53Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind
- 12:56on earth was great and that all their
- 12:59thoughts were always tending toward
- 13:02evil, it says that God regretted having
- 13:10made mankind, and it grieved him in his
- 13:15heart. Two words that show that God has
- 13:21emotions. He regretted having created
- 13:26us and it grieved him in his heart.
- 13:30It's like when we make a cake or a pie,
- 13:34we put all the ingredients in it, the
- 13:40flour, the eggs, the margarine, the
- 13:46chocolate, the sugar, the milk, a
- 13:51little vinegar, everything expecting.
- 13:58Wow! That a delicious cake will come
- 14:02out and we put it in the oven and
- 14:06expect it to be fluffy, but when we
- 14:09open it, it comes out all squashed or
- 14:15burnt. It says, "He expected a harvest
- 14:24of sweet grapes, but the grapes that
- 14:29grew were bitter." Human beings did not
- 14:35turn out as God expected, because
- 14:41instead of loving Him, many have
- 14:44rejected Him or simply ignored Him,
- 14:47which is the same as rejecting Him.
- 14:52Because some people don't have time for
- 14:55it and they ignore it. And what did
- 14:59that do? It broke his heart, not only
- 15:04because of his desire to have a
- 15:08friendship with us, but because it
- 15:12hurts him that they're going to hell.
- 15:19I'm going to read this verse, Genesis 6
- 15:21: 6, in the New Living Translation. It
- 15:24says, "Then the Lord regretted that he
- 15:29had created man and put him on the
- 15:33earth, and his heart was broken."
- 15:38Because at the center of the universe
- 15:42there is a God of love with a broken,
- 15:45shattered heart. Of the 170,000 people
- 15:53who die every day, 158,000 do not know
- 16:01Jesus. That's why at the center of the
- 16:08universe there is a God of love who
- 16:11weeps for all those who are going to
- 16:14hell. And you and I are crying over
- 16:18stupid things like, oh, my car was
- 16:21stolen, nothing to do with it. My
- 16:26husband left me, for no reason. I mean,
- 16:31I want to show the difference. We cry
- 16:34over stupid things. Oh, no one loves me
- 16:39, no one remembered my birthday. They
- 16:44don't value me. Oh, they're bullying me
- 16:46, they fired me from my job. Nothing to
- 16:49do with it. At the center of the
- 16:53universe there is a loving God who
- 16:55cries. If you're going to cry, let it
- 17:01be for eternal things, like the
- 17:03salvation of your family, the salvation
- 17:06of your friends, the salvation of your
- 17:09neighbors, the salvation of the world.
- 17:15And I see that sometimes God allows us
- 17:17to experience painful situations, like
- 17:23divorce, betrayal, trials with our
- 17:30children so that we can feel God's
- 17:35heart for those who are perishing.
- 17:40Because the Bible says that God is not
- 17:43willing that anyone should perish.
- 17:46Second Peter 3: 9, the Lord does not
- 17:49try, nor is he slow to fulfill his
- 17:51promise, as some understand it, by
- 17:54delay. Rather, he is patient with you
- 17:58because he does not want anyone to
- 18:02perish, but that everyone should come
- 18:06to repentance. Well, that day I
- 18:11understood for the first time that God
- 18:15has emotions because sadly many
- 18:19preachers have sold us an all-powerful
- 18:23God who feels us, has emotions, he is a
- 18:27person. So, feel the pleasure of loving
- 18:33and being loved. He feels the pleasure
- 18:37or joy that our praise, our obedience,
- 18:44our loyalty give Him, but He also feels
- 18:48the pain of rejection, betrayal,
- 18:52disobedience, and indifference. That's
- 18:59why I want you to write there, first of
- 19:01all, God feels joy. And in case you
- 19:07don't know, joy is a fleeting emotion.
- 19:11Happiness is a lasting, permanent
- 19:15feeling. And happiness is one of the
- 19:20attributes of God. Jesus said, John
- 19:2515:11, "I have told you these things so
- 19:28that you may be filled with my
- 19:30happiness, with my joy." That's right.
- 19:35You will overflow with joy. But it's
- 19:38not that fleeting emotion, it's
- 19:42happiness. But God also feels joy. That
- 19:49fleeting joy. Psalm 1041 says, "The
- 19:53Lord delights in all that he has
- 19:56created." In other translations it says
- 20:02that he rejoices, enjoys, or rejoices
- 20:04in his creation. That's why Psalm 19: 1
- 20:10says, "The heavens declare the glory of
- 20:13God; the skies proclaim the work of his
- 20:16hands." Isaiah 55:12 says, "The
- 20:21mountains and hills will burst into
- 20:24song, and the trees of the fields will
- 20:27clap their hands." Well, God delights
- 20:32in that. Did you know? The purpose of
- 20:36the beauty of creation is to bring that
- 20:39joy, that pleasure to God. But did you
- 20:45know that we as human beings have the
- 20:51privilege of making God Almighty feel
- 20:57joy? What a privilege. Holiness, and
- 21:05that's point number two, brings joy and
- 21:08pleasure to God. That day in 1984, when
- 21:15I came to know the heart of God, I
- 21:18decided to gladden Him, to make Him
- 21:23smile, to make Him feel pleasure with
- 21:27me as He did with David. Because God
- 21:33says about David, Acts 13:22, "I have
- 21:36found David a man after my own heart. A
- 21:42man who thinks in my heart, he will do
- 21:46everything that I want." When we
- 21:51proclaim the priestly blessing, which
- 21:53is in Numbers 6:25, we say may the Lord
- 22:00smile upon you according to the living
- 22:02translation. But here what we are
- 22:07really declaring is that the person I
- 22:11am blessing lives in such a way that
- 22:14makes God smile. What the Bible God
- 22:20speaks today puts it like this: May the
- 22:24Lord look upon you with favor, that
- 22:27when God sees the way you live, your
- 22:30thoughts, your words, He feels, what
- 22:33kind, He feels pleasure. And that was
- 22:39what God the Father felt about Jesus
- 22:42after 30 years of living in this world.
- 22:47He lived a life that pleased Him
- 22:50completely. He did not have a single
- 22:52complaint, not a single sin. That is
- 22:57why, when he was baptized in Matthew
- 22:593:17, God the Father said, "This is my
- 23:02beloved son and watch this, I am very
- 23:05pleased with him. We, and I am very
- 23:12clear about this, are not saved by
- 23:14works. We are saved by grace, through
- 23:20our faith. But if we want to please God
- 23:27, we have to live a life that pleases
- 23:32Him. Jesus did. That is why in this
- 23:37church we preach holiness. Those who
- 23:41preach cheap grace today are saved.
- 23:45They are going to go to heaven, but
- 23:48they have not made God smile. In other
- 23:51words, God puts up with them. But think
- 23:54about that. That is why God says or the
- 24:00Bible says that God does not want the
- 24:02sacrifice that I would give from a
- 24:04worshiper who lives in sin. God looks
- 24:07at him like," Wow. "Yes, praise makes
- 24:10him smile but not his sin. That is why
- 24:14cheap grace is Satan's great deception.
- 24:19Job's integrity brought God pleasure.
- 24:26That's why one day he said to the devil
- 24:29in Job 28," You have noticed my servant
- 24:31Job and I have memorized this verse and
- 24:34I change Job to Andrew. Have you
- 24:38noticed Andrew? Now, I know that I
- 24:42don't fulfill all this, but I declare
- 24:44it by faith. He is the best man in all
- 24:47the earth. He is a man of blameless
- 24:51integrity. He fears God and keeps
- 24:54himself from evil. I do not live in
- 24:58holiness to be saved because I am
- 25:00already saved.
- 25:02>> I live in holiness because I love God
- 25:06and I want to bring Him pleasure. But
- 25:14thirdly, praise brings pleasure or joy
- 25:21to God. We were created for the thelema
- 25:26, the glory, the will, the purpose or
- 25:34the pleasure of God. Revelation 4:11
- 25:38says, "You are worthy, O Lord our God,
- 25:43to receive glory and honor and power,
- 25:47for you created all things and they
- 25:51exist because you created them
- 25:54according to your thelema, according to
- 26:00your will in this translation, but in
- 26:02English it says pleasure, pleasure,
- 26:05glory. We were created for God's
- 26:09pleasure. And in Isaiah, God tells us
- 26:13what gives Him that glory or that
- 26:17pleasure. Isaiah 43:21. To the people
- 26:23whom I have formed for Myself, that
- 26:27they may proclaim My praise. That is
- 26:34what, more or less, gives God pleasure.
- 26:39To the point that in Zephaniah 3:17 it
- 26:41says," The Lord your God lives in your
- 26:44midst. "But speak, why does God live in
- 26:47their midst? Because He lives, He
- 26:51dwells, He enthrones Himself in the
- 26:53midst of our praise. It says," He is a
- 26:56mighty Savior. "We could say, He
- 26:59manifests Himself as a mighty Savior.
- 27:04He will delight in pleasure, joy,
- 27:07happiness and it says," He will delight
- 27:14in you with gladness; with your love He
- 27:17will calm all your fears. "Reina Valera
- 27:20says," He will be silent in love. "In
- 27:23other words, there is a point in our
- 27:26worship where He feels so much
- 27:29happiness that He does nothing just to
- 27:32enjoy our praise. And then it says," He
- 27:37will rejoice over you with songs of joy
- 27:40. "And the word rejoice there in the
- 27:44Hebrew is, which means he will begin to
- 27:48spin around. Right now we were spinning
- 27:51around and I was spinning around and no
- 27:54one else, just the dancers and me, the
- 27:57praise ones too. Yeah, I mean, look at
- 28:01me, I don't like dancing, but the
- 28:08simple fact of thinking that this
- 28:10brings pleasure to God, leads me to do
- 28:14it. Psalm 147, 7, 10 and 11 says," Sing
- 28:23with gratitude to the Lord. Make sure
- 28:27your song is one of gratitude. Sing out
- 28:30, praise. Praise is exalting what he is
- 28:35, what he has done, exalting his names.
- 28:39He does not delight in the strength of
- 28:41the horse. Your chariot does not
- 28:43impress you. In those days there were
- 28:45no chariots, they played the horse. Oh,
- 28:46look at this horse, thoroughbred. Your
- 28:49chariot to God like, "Oh, yes, that's
- 28:51right. He does not delight in the
- 28:54strength of your horse or in your power
- 28:56." Oh, those muscles. Oh, how handsome.
- 29:00So many hours in the gym and so many
- 29:02praising God. Your muscles don't
- 29:06impress Him. The Lord delights in those
- 29:15who fear Him, in those who put their
- 29:19hope in His unfailing love. And David
- 29:24knew this. He knew that praise brought
- 29:29pleasure to God. That's why he sang. I
- 29:34congratulate you. Everyone here is
- 29:36singing. He raised his hands. Oh, is he
- 29:41right or what? But some don't raise
- 29:47their hands or they do raise them here,
- 29:50they raise their hands, they clap. Ever
- 29:54since the drums came in, people have
- 29:56stopped using this, which is a weapon
- 29:58of war. They clap while praising,
- 30:02jumping, dancing, playing. The harp. I
- 30:09learned musical instruments just to
- 30:11praise God. I'm not much, but I use it
- 30:16to praise God. But he also wrote psalms
- 30:20and on top of that he assigned
- 30:24musicians. First Chronicles 28:30 says
- 30:28that every morning They would come
- 30:31before the Lord to sing songs of
- 30:34thanksgiving and praise. When God told
- 30:40us to have prayer, I read this verse.
- 30:45Tuesday and Thursday we have this. Why
- 30:49do you think God blesses us so much?
- 30:52Because He takes such pleasure in us.
- 30:55When you get up early, when we all come
- 30:57here on Tuesday and Thursday, wow. And
- 31:05God was so pleased with the praise of
- 31:12the tabernacle of David, that's why He
- 31:14set it up as the pattern of praise for
- 31:17the New Testament, for us Gentiles. It
- 31:23says in Acts 15:16, "After this I will
- 31:25come again and will raise up what? The
- 31:27tabernacle of David, not the tabernacle
- 31:29of Moses, no. I'm not into that, just
- 31:35celebration. That's the tabernacle, the
- 31:42praise that's fallen. I will repair its
- 31:47ruins and raise it up again." And in
- 31:51Psalm 95 and Psalm 100 we find some
- 31:54very simple instructions on how we
- 31:58should praise. It says, "Come once more
- 32:02, let us sing to the Lord, let us make
- 32:05a joyful noise to the rock of our
- 32:07salvation. Let us draw near to him with
- 32:10thanksgiving." How do you draw near?
- 32:12Many times, "Oh, Lord, I pray and I
- 32:14pray. Don't be wretched, miserable." It
- 32:18says, "Come near with thanksgiving."
- 32:22Let's sing praises to him. And then it
- 32:27says in Psalm 100, make a joyful noise
- 32:30to the Lord, come before him with
- 32:32singing and repeat it with joy. Many
- 32:38Christian songs today are not joyful,
- 32:40because joyful songs don't sell.
- 32:46They're songs of, "Oh, acknowledge that
- 32:52the Lord is God. He made us and we
- 32:55belong to him. We are his people. Enter
- 32:59his gates." The gate to enter into the
- 33:03presence of God is, "Thank you." Our
- 33:07Father who art in heaven, thank you.
- 33:13Hallowed be thy name, and let us praise
- 33:15his name, for the Lord is good. Number
- 33:19four, God feels joy when the sinner
- 33:25repents. And in Luke 15: 7, Jesus
- 33:31compared the joy a person feels when
- 33:35they find something valuable that they
- 33:38have lost, similar to the joy he feels
- 33:42when a sinner repents. Jesus said, "In
- 33:48the same way there is joy in the
- 33:51presence of the angels of God when even
- 33:54one sinner repents. When one person
- 34:00receives Jesus into heaven, there is
- 34:02celebration for one." Imagine that. Yes
- 34:15. We hope so.
- 34:26>> Yes, because there's the movie Haxor
- 34:43Ridge, it's the story of a Christian
- 34:46soldier. His name was Desmundos, who in
- 34:5212 hours and single-handedly rescued 75
- 35:00mortally wounded soldiers from the
- 35:04battlefield. And each time he rescued a
- 35:10soldier, he had to carry him down a
- 35:13steep cliff, drop him off in a safe
- 35:16place, and then climb back up again,
- 35:19and each time he prayed the following
- 35:22prayer: Please, Lord, give me one more
- 35:26soldier. 75 soldiers. That should be
- 35:34our prayer. First of all, Lord, give me
- 35:39one more day to preach the gospel. Not
- 35:44one more day to go visit Paris, no, one
- 35:50more day to preach, but also give me
- 35:53one more soul. Number five, God also
- 35:58feels anger. Psalm 7:11 says, "God is a
- 36:02righteous judge. He is angry with the
- 36:06wicked every day, but his anger is
- 36:10justified." In Romans 1:18 it says, "
- 36:16But God shows his wrath from heaven
- 36:20against all who are sinful and wicked."
- 36:26And listen to this, they suppress the
- 36:29truth with their wickedness. Netflix,
- 36:34HBO, Amazon, Disney, social media. This
- 36:40is it. Psalm 95:10 says that during or
- 36:45God says, "For 40 years I was angry."
- 36:50In another translation it says, "I was
- 36:51disgusted with them." And I said, "They
- 36:54are a people whose heart is far from me
- 36:58. They refuse to do what I say. However
- 37:02, God's anger is a fleeting emotion
- 37:11because his nature is characterized by
- 37:14love. His attributes are grace, mercy,
- 37:20and kindness. Psalm 103: 8-14 says,"
- 37:25The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
- 37:28slow to anger, and filled with
- 37:31unfailing love. He will not always
- 37:35rebuke us or remain angry forever. He
- 37:41does not punish us for all our sins,
- 37:44nor does he deal harshly with us, for
- 37:48his unfailing love for those who fear
- 37:51him is as great as the heavens are
- 37:54above the earth. He has taken our sins
- 37:59as far away from us as the east is from
- 38:02the west. The Lord is like a father to
- 38:06his children, tender and compassionate
- 38:10to those who fear him, for he knows or
- 38:14he remembers our weakness and remembers
- 38:18that we are but dust. That's why Judges
- 38:2510: 6-8 says, "The Israelites did evil
- 38:30again. They worshiped idols like Baal
- 38:34and Ashtaroth. They abandoned the Lord
- 38:37and stopped serving him altogether.
- 38:39They abandoned their bond of connection
- 38:42. Then the Lord was angry and gave them
- 38:50into the hands of the Philistines and
- 38:53the Ammonites, who began to oppress
- 38:56them for 18 years until they finally
- 39:00cried out to the Lord." In verse 15, "
- 39:04We have sinned. Punish us as you please
- 39:11, but rescue us from our enemies." So
- 39:16the Israelites turned from their
- 39:19foreign gods to serve the Lord. And
- 39:22listen to this. And God was grieved
- 39:29because of the suffering they were
- 39:32experiencing. Finally, God feels pain
- 39:37and sorrow. And that's why I read
- 39:42Genesis 6 again. When the Lord saw that
- 39:46the wickedness of human beings on earth
- 39:50was so great, today the wickedness in
- 39:53the world is like nothing we've ever
- 39:56seen before. And that all his thoughts
- 40:01were always toward evil. He repented of
- 40:06having made the human being and it hurt
- 40:10his heart. God feels pain and sorrow.
- 40:15He felt it for Martha and Mary. He felt
- 40:17for Martha and Mary. John 11:32 says, "
- 40:21When Mary arrived and saw Jesus, she
- 40:23fell at his feet and said, 'Lord, if
- 40:25you had been here, my brother would not
- 40:27have died.'" It says that when Jesus
- 40:32saw her weeping and saw the people
- 40:34mourning with her, he was moved with
- 40:37indignation. God has emotions and was
- 40:41deeply stirred. It then says, Jesus
- 40:47wept. Jesus also had compassion on the
- 40:52multitudes who had no shepherd, on the
- 40:55widow who lost her only son, on the
- 40:58blind men by the roadside, on the leper
- 41:01who begged to be healed. And in
- 41:06Ephesians 4:30 it tells us, "Do not
- 41:09grieve the Holy Spirit by the way in
- 41:13which you choose to live your life.""I
- 41:17believe that a Christian filled with
- 41:23the Holy Spirit should not be sad, he
- 41:27should always be joyful. Why? Because
- 41:32joy is the fruit or evidence of the
- 41:34Holy Spirit. And it is a joy that does
- 41:39not depend on circumstances. We have
- 41:42joy in the midst of trials, in the
- 41:45midst of storms. So, if that is so, if
- 41:49the Christian should always have joy,
- 41:52why do some feel sadness? Because the
- 41:56Holy Spirit who is inside them is
- 41:59saddened and there he says because of
- 42:03our way of living. And the only way to
- 42:09experience joy again after having
- 42:13messed up is the prayer that David made
- 42:17after he messed up. Psalm 51:12.
- 42:21Restore to me the joy of salvation. I
- 42:25want you to stand up and Lord, my
- 42:26prayer is that you put your heart in us
- 42:29and I want you to receive it. You will
- 42:33receive power when the Holy Spirit has
- 42:37come upon you and you will be my
- 42:40witnesses. Today I want you to see that
- 42:44power as the sadness, the brokenness of
- 42:48God so that we love the lost. so that
- 42:51we weep for the thousands and thousands
- 42:54. that every day they are going to hell
- 42:58. Lord, I ask you to put your heart in
- 43:02me and forgive me because I cry over
- 43:05silly things. Forgive me, Lord, because
- 43:11I do not feel what you feel for the
- 43:14lost, but I ask you, Lord, that it may
- 43:20burn in our hearts like never before.
- 43:26That we realize that we are very close
- 43:29to the end times, but you are not
- 43:31returning because there are still too
- 43:34many who are going to hell and you love
- 43:37them so much that you do not want to
- 43:39see them there. And I want you to raise
- 43:43your hands and receive that baptism of
- 43:45the Holy Spirit. You will receive power
- 43:48. Break, Lord, our hard hearts. Make us
- 43:54feel your tender love. Come, Holy
- 43:59Spirit, come, come, come, come, Holy
- 44:03Spirit, come. Tell me what you want.
- 44:12>> I want to see you smile. What you want
- 44:22is to see you
- 44:26>> smile. Your love is so great that it
- 44:39reaches to heaven. The incomparable
- 44:51Lord, you are the greatest and your
- 45:01love is so great that it reaches to
- 45:09heaven. You are Lord. Incomparable Lord
- 45:18. You are the most beautiful.
