Destiny's Last Batch of Legendary Primaries — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Hey everyone, I hope you're doing well.
- 0:01Today we're going to be covering the
- 0:02first of our three legendary weapon tier
- 0:05lists for Monument of Triumph, and that
- 0:06is of course going to be primaries.
- 0:08Before we get started though, a couple
- 0:09notes, especially for those of you who
- 0:10have not seen tier list, specifically
- 0:12legendary weapon tier list from me
- 0:13before. So, let's get started with those
- 0:15first. So, first we have tiers aren't
- 0:17equal across tabs. That means that an S
- 0:19tier auto rifle is not necessarily equal
- 0:21in power or endgame viability to an S
- 0:23tier bow or an S tier SMG. But to be
- 0:25fair with you, I will make
- 0:27recommendations later because it's not
- 0:28really fair if I say, "Oh, you know,
- 0:29this S tier auto, this S tier bow, this
- 0:31S tier sword, whatever it is, and then I
- 0:33don't tell you what I think is actually
- 0:34good because maybe I think auto rifles
- 0:35are better than bows." And then I don't
- 0:37really, you know, how are you supposed
- 0:38to know that if they're both just ranked
- 0:39Sier, right? They're both the same
- 0:40letter. And so toward the end of the
- 0:42video, I will make actual
- 0:43recommendations or what I think are like
- 0:44the best primaries for you to be looking
- 0:46at potentially. um on top of the stuff
- 0:48that we're going to be covering in this
- 0:49video, which I will cover notable
- 0:50examples of every weapon family
- 0:52regardless of how good I think their S
- 0:54tier is relatively speaking. And then if
- 0:56you're wondering how I actually make
- 0:57these tier lists, um I basically do
- 1:00something like bubble sorting if you're
- 1:01familiar with computer science where I
- 1:03list out, let's say, every auto rifle in
- 1:04the game from top to bottom. And then I
- 1:06look at the top two options and I see,
- 1:08okay, which one do I think is better in
- 1:09endgame content? And if I need to swap
- 1:10them, I swap them. And we just go all
- 1:12the way down the list until you have
- 1:13something resembling like a power
- 1:14ranking. And then from there you look
- 1:16and you find if there's any major gaps
- 1:18between two specific options. So maybe
- 1:20auto rifle 8 and auto rifle 9 on the
- 1:22list. You think there's a big power gap
- 1:23between these. Something is really
- 1:24holding back auto rifle 9 from joining
- 1:26the auto rifles in you know 1 to eight.
- 1:29And so as a result that might be your S
- 1:30tier. And then you continue to do that
- 1:32until you have more and more and more
- 1:33tier breaks. You have more and more
- 1:34major clusters of power. And then
- 1:36eventually you end up with maybe an F
- 1:37tier at the bottom or an E tier at the
- 1:39bottom. Which you know also reminds me
- 1:41um some tier lists are going to end at
- 1:42Ctier. Some of them are going to end at
- 1:43D. Some of them are going to end at F.
- 1:45It just depends on how many weapons are
- 1:46in that family. A lot of the time, newer
- 1:48weapon families, they don't have like a
- 1:50lot of weapons near the bottom of the
- 1:51tier list that are just completely
- 1:53terrible because they came out like 6
- 1:54years ago, right? So, um, as a result,
- 1:56you know, just be aware that there are
- 1:58going to be different tiers in different
- 2:00tier lists here in different tabs. Um, I
- 2:02will say one thing that's common though
- 2:03between all these tier lists is that
- 2:05don't be mistaken and think that only
- 2:06the stuff at the top of the S tier is
- 2:08usable. We're at a state in Destiny
- 2:10Sandbox where a lot of the weapons in
- 2:11this game are pretty good. They're
- 2:13pretty good. they're at least pretty
- 2:14good, at least usable. So S tier, A
- 2:16tier, Btier stuff, you're probably not
- 2:17trolling if you're using anything in
- 2:19these upper tiers. So don't worry too
- 2:21much about like the hyper specifics or
- 2:23even ordering within tiers. Don't worry
- 2:24too much. I would say though that there
- 2:26is on some of these tier list a
- 2:27significant drop off once you reach like
- 2:29the C or the D tier. It becomes like
- 2:31very very old weapons that you probably
- 2:32shouldn't be using or weapons that were
- 2:34just like a mistake from Bungie that
- 2:36they should not have released in that
- 2:37state because they're just really really
- 2:38terrible. Um, but for the most part, you
- 2:40know, a lot of these weapons are pretty
- 2:41viable and I'm just going to recommend,
- 2:43you know, the highlights. But, um, you
- 2:44don't necessarily need to use those in
- 2:46order to succeed in endame content. Um,
- 2:48I think that goes without being said.
- 2:50Okay. Another comment that I want to
- 2:52make here is that a lot of the mag perks
- 2:54on the weapons this season are going to
- 2:56be notably using highcaliber rounds,
- 2:58alloy magazine, or serif rounds. And
- 3:00this might be surprising to you guys
- 3:01because I used to recommend flared
- 3:03magwell on previous iterations of these
- 3:04tier lists uh in previous seasons.
- 3:06[music] And part of the reason is that I
- 3:08think we're at a point in the Destiny
- 3:09sandbox where a couple years ago if you
- 3:11had no reload perks and you had no
- 3:13flared magwell and you had no reload
- 3:15masterwork, it was very noticeable. Your
- 3:16weapon was very sluggish. These days
- 3:18with the advent of the weapon stat and
- 3:19you have like a 100 weapons, you get a
- 3:21higher base reload and handling floor
- 3:23and there's a lot of effects even just
- 3:25outside of the weapon itself that can
- 3:26give you some sort of reload whether
- 3:28it's artifact mods or subclass stuff.
- 3:29And so as a result of this um it's
- 3:31really not that important. I would say
- 3:33weapons also ship with kind of more
- 3:35reload. At least it feels like it feels
- 3:36like they ship with better stats these
- 3:37days. I don't know if that's
- 3:38statistically true. So maybe maybe don't
- 3:40back me up on that, but uh it just feels
- 3:42like, you know, reload is reload perks
- 3:44in general or just having reload stuff
- 3:45on your weapon is not as important
- 3:47anymore. And even when it is, with the
- 3:49change to alloy mag being working at the
- 3:52bottom 50% of your mag. And the fact
- 3:54that it's a reload duration scaler and
- 3:56not just base reload increase means that
- 3:58no matter how high your reload is, it's
- 4:00going to be helpful to you. And so I
- 4:01think a lot of people would agree, a lot
- 4:02of people who are like primary
- 4:04enthusiasts would probably agree with me
- 4:05that alloy mag is probably the best
- 4:07general mag to run even if you do want a
- 4:09reload boost on your weapons. And so
- 4:11that's why I've kind of switched fully
- 4:12over to alloy mag. On top of that, a lot
- 4:14of mags that do give you mag size
- 4:15increases like tac mag, app mag,
- 4:17extended mag, not only do these
- 4:19sometimes hinder your reload in the case
- 4:20of extended mag, but these also don't
- 4:22even increase your mag size
- 4:23significantly like the enhanced backup
- 4:25mag does. So, if you really care about
- 4:27your mag size or you're running a weapon
- 4:29type that is very very sensitive to
- 4:31whatever mags that you have, um you're
- 4:33better off running enhanced backup mag
- 4:34and just running that and running like a
- 4:36solid mag perk like, you know, alloy,
- 4:38which would help and stack on top of
- 4:39that, or run like highc caliber rounds,
- 4:41which I'm going to talk about next. So,
- 4:42what about high caliber rounds and serif
- 4:44rounds? Why do I recommend them? And why
- 4:45do I recommend them specifically over
- 4:47stuff like armor piercing and ricochet?
- 4:48So, we've done some testing on some of
- 4:50this stuff, especially because, you
- 4:51know, unstoppable intrinsic is on a
- 4:53third of the weapon archetypes now. And
- 4:55so the reason why I think highc caliber
- 4:56rounds is good is because in endgame
- 4:58content, we've done some testing on
- 4:59stagger thresholds and stuff like that.
- 5:01High-caliber rounds basically just
- 5:02reduces the amount of damage you need to
- 5:03do to a target in order to stun it and
- 5:05make it stagger and stop shooting you.
- 5:07And so this stacks with the unstoppable
- 5:09intrinsic effect. It stacks with stuff
- 5:10like stopping power. And so in endgame
- 5:12content, I would say it's a more
- 5:14noticeable effect, a more impactful
- 5:16effect I would say than anything like
- 5:17armor piercing rounds or ricochet rounds
- 5:19or any sort of slight reload increase
- 5:21from flared or a slightly bigger mag
- 5:23from like tactical mag or appended mag,
- 5:25which you'll notice on a lot of weapons
- 5:26like hand cannons for example, you're
- 5:27getting like plus one, plus two in the
- 5:28mag. It's really not that noticeable.
- 5:30And so, as a result, I do think if
- 5:32you're going to take a weapon and you
- 5:34don't really care that much about the
- 5:35mag size because it's already good
- 5:36enough and you don't really care that
- 5:38much about alloy because the weapon
- 5:39either you're reloading it through some
- 5:41sort of effect or, you know, you don't
- 5:42need to reload it that often or the
- 5:43reload is already plenty good enough. I
- 5:45would say high caliber rounds is
- 5:46something that a lot of people should
- 5:48consider, especially on certain weapons
- 5:49where maybe it stacks with the
- 5:50unstoppable intrinsic, especially when
- 5:52you're playing upper tier content where
- 5:54enemies are not just going to die
- 5:55instantly and you want to be able to
- 5:56stagger them a little bit, especially if
- 5:58you're using a primary. And so that's
- 5:59why I recommend highc caliber rounds.
- 6:01Serif rounds is kind of a shoein because
- 6:02it literally combines highc caliber
- 6:04rounds, ricochet, and armor piercing
- 6:05into one perk. Some people ask, "What
- 6:07about armor piercing rounds? Do I
- 6:08consider that as well?" While I will say
- 6:10the over penetrating effect of armor
- 6:11piercing rounds can help you trigger
- 6:13on-hit perks faster. Like I believe it
- 6:15counts as multiple hits for attrition
- 6:16orbs. The likelihood of ads kind of
- 6:18lining up and you getting the armor
- 6:19piercing effect is kind of low. And I do
- 6:21think high calal is kind of just always
- 6:22active. And so I would recommend high
- 6:24calal a little bit more um than stuff
- 6:26like armor piercing. But you're free to
- 6:27take armor piercing if uh if that's
- 6:29something that you want to do. Okay,
- 6:31next up, you'll notice that
- 6:32destabilizing rounds weapons on this
- 6:34tier list may have alternative perks
- 6:36listed underneath them that I wouldn't
- 6:38normally recommend, especially for
- 6:40weapons that are in upper tiers. So, a
- 6:41perk like rampage might be listed under
- 6:43destabilizing rounds. And you might be
- 6:44wondering why. And the reason is that
- 6:46there's an artifact mod called Volatile
- 6:48Flow in a pretty good artifact. And if
- 6:50you choose to take volatile flow, you're
- 6:52more than likely going to have volatile
- 6:53rounds all the time. And so if you don't
- 6:55need destabilizing rounds, you're free
- 6:57to change that perk on a void weapon to
- 6:58something else. You can run like
- 6:59repulsor and master of arms or repulsor
- 7:01and rampage. And then you kind of have
- 7:03three perks going at the same time
- 7:04because you have volatile flow providing
- 7:06you with the effect of these stabilizing
- 7:07rounds. And so as a result, um you know,
- 7:09if you ever see any weapons with
- 7:11destabilizing rounds and you see some
- 7:12like suspicious perks underneath them,
- 7:14that's why they were added in cuz I just
- 7:15wanted to present that alternative to
- 7:17people uh in case that's something that
- 7:18they're they're interested in doing if
- 7:19they're taking volatile flow. My friend
- 7:21Spider pointed this out and I thought it
- 7:22was a good point. And then the last two
- 7:24things I want to talk about is number
- 7:25one, uh, for champion intrinsic stuff,
- 7:28there is a concept that I'm going to
- 7:30mention in some of these notes here
- 7:31called double stagger. I kind of just
- 7:32made that up, but um, what I mean by
- 7:34double stagger is that the effect from
- 7:36high caliber rounds and the effect from
- 7:37the unstoppable intrinsic stack to lower
- 7:39the damage threshold even further for
- 7:41stunning targets. And since that's the
- 7:43case, if there is a weapon that has the
- 7:45unstoppable intrinsic and has access to
- 7:46high caliber rounds, and I think it's a
- 7:48good weapon archetype for taking
- 7:49advantage of this stagger effect, I'll
- 7:51write it in the notes and maybe I'll
- 7:53increase it by, you know, a couple
- 7:54placements or something. Um, depending
- 7:56on what it's nearby, maybe that might
- 7:57push it over the edge versus a very
- 7:59similar perk pool weapon. Uh, we also
- 8:01have barrier pierce intrinsic. There are
- 8:03some archetypes in this game,
- 8:04specifically I would say precision
- 8:05archetypes in this game, um, that are
- 8:07mathematically inferior to some of their
- 8:09neighboring archetypes, uh, in terms of
- 8:11raw performance, but because they have
- 8:12the barrier pierce intrinsic, I'm
- 8:14willing to give them a little bit of
- 8:15leeway when it comes to ranking them in
- 8:16this tier list. So, just be aware of
- 8:18that as well. And then finally,
- 8:19elemental supercharger working with
- 8:21exhausted targets. Technically, the
- 8:23overload intrinsic on weapons applies a
- 8:25pseudo exhaust that doesn't actually
- 8:27decrease combatant damage output, but it
- 8:28counts as exhaust for specifically
- 8:30elemental supercharger. While you're not
- 8:32doing that on most primaries, unless you
- 8:34happen to be on tablet of ruin and
- 8:35you're like, "Sure, I'll just farm super
- 8:36with it." Um, there are some weapons
- 8:38that are specifically very good at
- 8:40farming super. And we're about to talk
- 8:41about one actually. I think it's the
- 8:43only one that I've really pointed out.
- 8:44Um, and you know, to be honest with you,
- 8:46like the the overload is kind of like a
- 8:48passive thing there to be honest. But,
- 8:49um, I I will point it out if it's uh
- 8:51something of note. I do think overload
- 8:53intrinsic is is probably the least
- 8:54impactful for most players when it comes
- 8:56to endame content. And then finally, the
- 8:57last thing I want to point out, I know
- 8:58this has been a long intro. I'm sorry.
- 9:00But finally, the last thing I wanted to
- 9:01point out is I'm just going to be
- 9:02covering the highlights when it comes to
- 9:04this video because I tried, this is like
- 9:06my fifth time recording this video. I
- 9:08tried covering every single primary, and
- 9:10it's just primaries, not even including
- 9:11specials or power, just the primaries. I
- 9:12tried covering every primary that
- 9:14changed in this update. [music] And the
- 9:16video was on pace to be 4 hours by the
- 9:18time I finished auto rifles. And so, I'm
- 9:19not going to be doing that. I'm just
- 9:21going to be covering highlights within
- 9:22elements, right? So, for example, I'll
- 9:24try to cover the best stasis auto, the
- 9:25best strand auto, the best solar auto,
- 9:26because a lot of these auto rifles, a
- 9:28lot of the time you're picking the
- 9:29element of a weapon based on your build.
- 9:31I will make one point though, and that
- 9:33is that a lot of builds, even if you are
- 9:36running a stasis build, even if you are
- 9:38running a solar build, even if you are
- 9:39running some sort of arc build, it might
- 9:42still be better to run repulsor
- 9:43destabilizing rounds because of just how
- 9:45strong it is, [music] right? Um, just to
- 9:47remind you, and this is before we get
- 9:48into things, because you're going to see
- 9:49a lot of repulsor destabilizing over the
- 9:51next hour or how long, however long this
- 9:52video is, you're going to see a lot of
- 9:53that perk combo. And the reason is, for
- 9:55those of you who are not aware,
- 9:56destabilizing rounds is already just on
- 9:58its own an excellent splash perk, right?
- 10:00It doesn't require crit of any kind.
- 10:01It's just a kill and then you get a bit
- 10:03of volatile splash, which I think
- 10:04volatile splash is one of the best
- 10:06splash effects in this game outside of
- 10:07like flashover boosted bolt charge or
- 10:08straight up igniting a target, which no
- 10:10perk can just straight up ignite a
- 10:12target. Burning Ambition kind of can,
- 10:13but under certain circumstances. So
- 10:15yeah, like it's already a very good
- 10:16splash effect. And the cool thing is is
- 10:18it transfers to your weapon. Your weapon
- 10:20gets volatile rounds, which allows you
- 10:21to instantly reapply that effect to the
- 10:23next target, which is very rare. It's
- 10:25very rare for these kind of splash
- 10:26effects to be on hit, let alone
- 10:28transferred from a previous target and
- 10:29not something that you need to build up
- 10:31over time on every single target that
- 10:32you shoot. Allah kinetic tremors or
- 10:34jolting feedback, right? So that's the
- 10:36first thing. The second thing is that
- 10:37repulsor brace is essentially a zero
- 10:39cool down 150 effective HP. Just a
- 10:42reminder, heal clip is 100 HP, right?
- 10:44because it's cure times two. Repulsor
- 10:46braces void overshield with its
- 10:48effective DR included is an effective
- 10:50150 HP overheal, not just a regular
- 10:52hero. An overheal on every single kill
- 10:55that works with destabilizing rounds and
- 10:57every enemy you shoot should be un, you
- 10:59know, volatile. It should be volatile.
- 11:00And so you can get this on literally
- 11:02every single kill. And so yeah, that's
- 11:03kind of why this this self-sustaining
- 11:05loop of repulsor destabilizing is just
- 11:07so strong. It's the strongest perk
- 11:08combo, generally speaking, that we've
- 11:10ever gotten in this game for just raw ad
- 11:12clear plus survivability built in. And
- 11:13even though I'm going to be covering
- 11:15maybe like some solar auto rifles or
- 11:16like some strand auto rifles or some
- 11:17stasis auto rifles, just know that in a
- 11:19lot of cases, even if you're running a
- 11:21build or an artifact that matches like
- 11:23stasis or matches solar, um, a lot of
- 11:26the time a void auto is still going to
- 11:27be better. It's still going to be better
- 11:28just because of how strong this gameplay
- 11:30loop is. So, I do want to point that
- 11:31out. Um, and that is kind of the reason
- 11:33why the S tier is dominated by a lot of
- 11:35void weapons. And that's not even
- 11:36accounting for the fact that yes, of
- 11:38course, we have insane artifact support
- 11:40for void as well. Void is probably the
- 11:42most supported um element when it comes
- 11:44to primary gameplay at least uh when it
- 11:46comes to artifact mods. So, it's just
- 11:48absolutely insane support and probably
- 11:49the element that needed it the least
- 11:51because repulsor destabilizing, like I
- 11:52said, is already insanely strong with
- 11:54zero artifact support. So, yeah.
- 11:56Anyways, let's go ahead and get started.
- 11:57Enough ranting. We're going to go ahead
- 11:59and get started with auto rifles. So,
- 12:01auto rifles, you'll notice here I've
- 12:02bolded everything that I think is kind
- 12:03of worth talking about, even though it's
- 12:04not necessarily something I recommend
- 12:06for most cases. um just something that
- 12:07is maybe notable like maybe like the
- 12:09best strand auto or something like that.
- 12:10So first on our list we have no
- 12:12hesitation. You'll see we have three
- 12:13support autos at the top here. Support
- 12:15autos are they're already like pretty
- 12:16decent for ad clear like their damage
- 12:18profile despite the fact that they need
- 12:19to compromise because they are they have
- 12:22like multi-function and Bungie made them
- 12:23you know not the best damage profile on
- 12:25auto rifles I assume for that reason. Um
- 12:27no hesitation is the best of the three
- 12:28for two reasons. Number one, physic
- 12:30applies restoration on solar support
- 12:32autos, and restoration is easily the
- 12:34best effect to apply to both yourself
- 12:36and a teammate if they are in danger.
- 12:37So, if you're literally using a support
- 12:39auto to try and save a teammate, you're
- 12:40going to want to pick no hesitation over
- 12:42the others most likely. I mean, void
- 12:44overshield is also quite strong, like we
- 12:45mentioned when I was uh ranting about
- 12:47repulsor brace, but I would say physic
- 12:49being on no hesitation and not being on
- 12:50cusp and paternal is kind of a big deal.
- 12:53The second thing is that it does have
- 12:54dealer's choice. And so, dealer's choice
- 12:56is insane. It's an insane origin trait.
- 12:59It is the best super generating origin
- 13:01trait in the game and one of the best
- 13:02super generation sources in the game,
- 13:04period. If you're in three dealer choice
- 13:06weapons and you get a kill, already
- 13:07gives you a huge chunk of super. But
- 13:09this effect additively stacks with the
- 13:11amount of super you get from elemental
- 13:12supercharger, which no hesitation is an
- 13:15overload weapon, which accounts for
- 13:16elemental supercharger. And if you're on
- 13:18a solar super and use elemental
- 13:19supercharger with three dealer choice
- 13:21weapons with no hesitation, you can get
- 13:22an entire super essentially off of like
- 13:24two spawns of ads, which is insane.
- 13:26Which is insane. It's already found some
- 13:27use in speedrunning. It's already found
- 13:28some applications and I'm sure as we
- 13:30move forward into the sandbox, people
- 13:32will find even more reasons to run
- 13:33elemental supercharger, especially
- 13:35specifically with this weapon. Okay, so
- 13:38that's no hesitation. It also has chaos
- 13:39reshaped. I will note one thing about
- 13:41chaos reshaped. So, the fate of chaos
- 13:43reshaped is a little bit in hangs in the
- 13:45balance a little bit here. And so, Chaos
- 13:47Rehap for those of you that don't know
- 13:48is a very good perk, right? It's up to a
- 13:5035% damage increase and it gives you
- 13:52apparently a slow like five healing per
- 13:54second stackable effect. It used to be
- 13:56like 35 HP chunks like every seven
- 13:58seconds. So, it was like a little bit
- 13:59more sustain, but now I believe the way
- 14:00it works is it spreads the healing over
- 14:02time and it just gives you a slow 5 HP
- 14:04per heal uh 5 HP per second heal. Now,
- 14:06the problem is right now apparently in
- 14:09the last 35 HP of your health bar, so
- 14:12imagine your health bar is like this big
- 14:13bar and at the top of it when you're all
- 14:15almost fully healed, that last 35 HP,
- 14:17Chaos Reshaped doesn't seem to know that
- 14:20that is part of your health bar. And so
- 14:22it stops any and all healing sources
- 14:24except for Chaos ReShap's extremely slow
- 14:275 HP per second tick rate above that
- 14:29level. So, you're basically playing the
- 14:31game, as my friend Spider would put it,
- 14:32kind of missing 35 HP a lot of the time,
- 14:34which is yeah, that's not great. I hope
- 14:36Chaos Rehap gets fixed. I think it's in
- 14:38the the known issues or something, but
- 14:39I'm not 100% sure. But regardless, I've
- 14:41ranked weapons on this tier list with
- 14:43the assumption that Chaos Reshaped will
- 14:45get fixed. So, yeah, that is kind of
- 14:46annoying. Um, yeah, second on our list,
- 14:48we have Cuspeternal here. Um, this thing
- 14:51has no physic, like I mentioned. If it
- 14:52did have physic, it might be rank one,
- 14:54but it doesn't have physic. And so, the
- 14:55reason why it's this high is because
- 14:56number one, void overshield is great as
- 14:58a sport auto effect. to give to your
- 14:59teammate. It's pretty good. But second,
- 15:01um it has repulsor destabilizing in case
- 15:03you want to use it for just regular ad
- 15:04clear while you're running around and
- 15:05also healing your teammates. And the big
- 15:07selling point for this one is that it
- 15:08has withering gaze. It's the only
- 15:10support auto with withering gaze, which
- 15:11if you have a teammate whose role you've
- 15:13kind of forced into being like the
- 15:14damage buffer, so maybe they're like
- 15:15assembler well warlock and you're
- 15:16playing an optimized fire team and
- 15:18they're on tractor and they tractor the
- 15:19boss, they swap to gall, they give
- 15:20everyone galley and they give everyone
- 15:21support auto. It means that this person
- 15:23can have a much more slot efficient
- 15:25support auto that can also debuff extend
- 15:27while giving their teammates a buff.
- 15:29[music] So being able to debuff extend
- 15:31and give a 10% stackable damage boost to
- 15:33your teammates in the same weapon I
- 15:34think is actually quite valuable. Um it
- 15:36is definitely very endgamey and very
- 15:38like optimization focused. I think it is
- 15:40a weapon that a lot of support oriented
- 15:42players will gravitate toward just
- 15:43because it can cover all of these roles
- 15:45at the same time. Next we have Decator
- 15:4702. Decator 02 is actually kind of a
- 15:49shame because um it has pretty good
- 15:51perks if it wasn't a support auto. For
- 15:54reference, I don't think there is
- 15:55another crystalline corpse bloom stasis
- 15:57auto. Stasis auto is one of the most
- 15:59neglected element types when it comes to
- 16:02literally any element and [music] weapon
- 16:03family pairing, right? Because if you
- 16:05look at this stasis auto, right, it's at
- 16:07rank three. The next stasis [music] auto
- 16:09is down here. It's intercalary at rank
- 16:1232, right? which is an insane gap to
- 16:15have between two of the same kind of
- 16:18like element plus uh weapon type [music]
- 16:20pairing. So yeah, I mean it's the only
- 16:21crystallin corpse auto. It has some
- 16:23decent stuff in the second column. Um
- 16:24but the main thing is number one is it
- 16:27has physic [music] and physic provides
- 16:29frost armor on stasis support autos
- 16:31which is pretty good. And you know with
- 16:32how frost armor now ticks down stack per
- 16:34stack instead of all at once, you can
- 16:36give your teammate uh two frost armor
- 16:38stacks per activation and it has like a
- 16:40decent origin trait too and carry
- 16:41ammunition. So, it's easily the best
- 16:43kinetic slot support auto. Although,
- 16:44it's competition adamanti, not super
- 16:46great. And Adamanti, for those of you
- 16:48that don't know, it got physic. And what
- 16:50physic does on it is it releases an
- 16:51unraveling burst on you when you give
- 16:54the support auto frame boost to your
- 16:56teammate. So, despite the fact that the
- 16:57stasis support auto is capable of
- 16:59creating that defensive buff through
- 17:01frost armor, the strand support auto, it
- 17:03does the unraveling burst thing instead
- 17:05of woven mail. I don't know. I guess
- 17:06woven mail is kind of a strong effect to
- 17:07proc instantly off of one activation,
- 17:09but still, I mean, that's kind of
- 17:10disappointing.
- 17:11I mean, the competition is not very
- 17:12strong. Uh, next on the highlights here,
- 17:14we have Reckless Oracle. There's a ton
- 17:15of Repulsor destabilizing void autos in
- 17:17this game now, and all of them are like
- 17:19specialized in some small different
- 17:20ways, right? Like, if you want a barrier
- 17:21option, you have knowing [music] hunger.
- 17:23If you want an option with like mega
- 17:24kill clip and you're willing to drop
- 17:26destabilizing rounds and get it from the
- 17:27artifact, you want accelerated assault,
- 17:28you have positive outlook, which I've
- 17:30highlighted for that reason in
- 17:31particular. But I would say the best
- 17:32overall one, right, if you're not
- 17:34looking for anything in particular, is
- 17:35Reckless Oracle. Reckless Oracle, the
- 17:37Pantheon version, right? Um, you have
- 17:38destabilizing rounds and collective
- 17:40demolition in the first slot if you want
- 17:41to drop the state and run volatile flow.
- 17:43You have chaos reshaped which a lot of
- 17:45people are combining with destabilizer
- 17:46rounds because it's essentially a very
- 17:48strong single target damage perk. You
- 17:49have a little bit of sustain and then of
- 17:51course you have the splash from
- 17:52destabilizing rounds as well. Elliptical
- 17:54orbit from preliminary testing seems to
- 17:56be a pretty good origin trait as well
- 17:58for ammo generation. So yeah, I don't
- 18:00know. It's kind of the complete package.
- 18:01Reckless Oracle if you want to use a
- 18:02void auto, it's pretty good. Okay, uh
- 18:04let's move down to the A tier here where
- 18:06we're going to cover some of the other
- 18:07elements. So, if you want a solar auto,
- 18:08I do think abyss define is the best one.
- 18:10High [music] impact is one of the best
- 18:12auto archetypes in the game right now,
- 18:14minus the fact that it doesn't have
- 18:15barrier. It has high range. It has the
- 18:17second best damage profile if I'm not
- 18:18mistaken. And this one has access to
- 18:20double stagger cuz it has unsuper.
- 18:23Um, in addition, this thing also got
- 18:24burning ambition in the first column as
- 18:26a result of the new monument of triumph
- 18:28perks. And so, if you want to use this
- 18:29with like helien or something, it's
- 18:31decent. I do think that cursed thraw is
- 18:33kind of awkward on longer range weapons
- 18:34because if you're playing with an auto
- 18:36rifle, you're playing with a scout
- 18:37rifle, you're playing with a pulse
- 18:37rifle, it kind of implies that you're
- 18:38kind of sitting back a little bit. And
- 18:40so that's not really what most melee
- 18:42builds tend to do. And if you're not
- 18:43getting melee kills, cursed roll is
- 18:44basically a dead origin trait. So eh
- 18:46auto rifle maybe not too bad, right?
- 18:48SMG, sidearm, auto rifle, not too bad,
- 18:50hand cannon. But once we move into like
- 18:51pulse rifles, once we move to like scout
- 18:53rifles, especially like fang of your u,
- 18:55it's kind of hard to argue that cursed
- 18:56roll is like a really strong origin
- 18:57trait because you're not really getting
- 18:58melee kills if you're using a scout
- 18:59rifle from like 40 meters away, right?
- 19:01So that's something worth noting, I
- 19:02suppose. And then we have scave lock and
- 19:04blue perfect. Uh, scave lock is
- 19:06interesting because it is essentially a
- 19:07multimok replacement, but it's an auto
- 19:09rifle. It has a much better damage
- 19:10profile than multimok. It has better
- 19:12artifact support than multimok. It has
- 19:13anti- barrier, which multimok doesn't
- 19:14have. Um, and of course it has veterans
- 19:17wisdom as well, which is an excellent
- 19:18origin trait. creates this like um
- 19:20exhausting I believe exhausting
- 19:21staggering shock wave every time you
- 19:23meet a certain kill requirement. And so
- 19:25skate lock pretty good. The only thing
- 19:26with skate lock that I'd like to mention
- 19:27is that it is a 600 RPM compared to
- 19:29multimok at 900 RPM. So it does produce
- 19:32orbs I would say fairly slowly compared
- 19:34to multimok. It's like a decent bit
- 19:36slower. But if you want something that's
- 19:37more of a gun than multimok um and less
- 19:39of an orb generator than multimok then
- 19:41skelock is probably a better choice. Um
- 19:43but again you know a lot of people are
- 19:44basically just using multimok to farm
- 19:45orbs. And so I kind of completely
- 19:47understand if they want to stick with
- 19:48using multimod for that purpose
- 19:49specifically. Um we have pl perfect
- 19:52which is a triple stagger weapon, right?
- 19:54Um I think uh there's other weapons that
- 19:56get stopping power and have the
- 19:57unstoppable intrinsic and have high
- 19:59caliber rounds but I think pl perfect
- 20:00might be the best one of the bunch
- 20:02because it has the right range profile.
- 20:03Um it is kind of at the range where
- 20:05enemies can still shoot you but you
- 20:06still want to stagger them and um it has
- 20:08stopping power. You know it has kinetic
- 20:10tremors in the second column. Post buff
- 20:12rampage is honestly pretty decent as
- 20:13well. And then you fail deadly which
- 20:15allows it to just have a much bigger
- 20:16effective mag size while you're trying
- 20:18to stagger enemies. So I think it's
- 20:19potentially interesting. I put in the A
- 20:21tier. It's it's not like S tier or
- 20:22anything. I don't think the effect is
- 20:23like world moving or anything like that,
- 20:24but it's it's an interesting choice.
- 20:25It's an interesting choice and maybe you
- 20:28might want to try it. I don't know.
- 20:29Maybe if that's if that's your speed,
- 20:30you might want to try it. Um we have VS
- 20:32Pyroelectric Propellant. I think a lot
- 20:33of people have approached me telling me
- 20:35that they love the Snip Hunt mark 47. Um
- 20:38because Snipe Hunt has, you know,
- 20:39jolting feedback, has chaos reshaped.
- 20:41Um, I honestly think if you like snipe
- 20:43hunt a lot, I think you're going to like
- 20:44VS Pylectric propellant even more
- 20:46because Bray Legacy is an insane origin
- 20:48tree. The adaptive frame is an even
- 20:49better frame than the SRL autos
- 20:51lightweight frame and of course it has
- 20:53attrition orbs and jolting feedback as
- 20:54well. So unless you specifically want
- 20:56Jolting Chaos like that combo, which I
- 20:58guess is kind of unique to Snipe Hunt. I
- 20:59think honestly VS Pyro Electra
- 21:01propellant is the better pick. Um, but
- 21:02you know if you like snipe hunt not
- 21:04going to stop you. I mean that's also a
- 21:05pretty good auto as well. Like I
- 21:06mentioned like everything in the A tier
- 21:07is going to be strong. It's going to be
- 21:08strong. Um, I just think VS Pyro is like
- 21:10a little better overall. Another thing
- 21:12I'd like to point out is Chrysera
- 21:14Chryser Melo. Um, something important
- 21:16about this support auto is that is the
- 21:18only way of getting amplified without
- 21:20using any subclass effect or without
- 21:22relying on any multi-kills or without
- 21:24relying on kills like Xerus does. And so
- 21:27it's like I can see it being used in
- 21:28speedrunning somewhere. I don't think
- 21:30the actual weapon itself is very good.
- 21:32Um, but I could definitely see it being
- 21:33used in speedrunning somewhere um, with
- 21:35physic just for specifically that
- 21:36purpose. Also, another thing you may be
- 21:38wondering why full bore and acurize are
- 21:40on every single support auto. Bungie
- 21:41made a change at some point that makes
- 21:43it so that the range of a support auto
- 21:45scales with the range that you can heal
- 21:47your teammates at. And I've used support
- 21:49autos with like fluted and alloy or like
- 21:51fluted and like flared or something
- 21:52compared with full acurized and support
- 21:54auto stat packages are good enough that
- 21:56the difference is essentially
- 21:57negligible. And so I think the increased
- 21:59range I think I used it for like a
- 22:00certain speedrunning encounter or
- 22:01something. I was trying to like heal a
- 22:02teammate from like far away for like
- 22:03whatever reason and I definitely noticed
- 22:05the difference. I believe at least. So,
- 22:07um that's why I run full acurized um
- 22:09because there's basically like no
- 22:11difference. And in terms of how you use
- 22:12a support auto, for the most part, it
- 22:14doesn't really change how the support
- 22:15auto functions because most of the time
- 22:16with the support auto, you're kind of
- 22:17just using it to kill teammates and
- 22:18getting energy for the support auto from
- 22:20other damage, whether it's ability or
- 22:22weapon damage. And then finally, the
- 22:25last auto rifle I want to cover on this
- 22:26list is going to be the forward path.
- 22:28However, I will say Lethal Abundance and
- 22:30Rufus' Fury, all three of these auto
- 22:32rifles are basically the same in terms
- 22:33of power level. Some would argue Rufus'
- 22:35fury better. Some would argue lethal
- 22:37abundance is better. They're all kind of
- 22:38the same to me. And the reason why I
- 22:39want to point these out is because the
- 22:40artifact actually does have a fair
- 22:42amount of strand support. And so I can
- 22:43see if you're running like a strand
- 22:44build or something like that, maybe
- 22:45you're on strand warlock or something. I
- 22:47could see you wanting to use like a
- 22:48strand auto. And if you're going to use
- 22:49one, I think all three of these are
- 22:50pretty strong um for, you know, pretty
- 22:52much the same reasons. They all have
- 22:53access [music] to sever on hit through
- 22:55slice. Some of them have tear. Um you
- 22:57have like an extra splash perk in the
- 22:58second column. Rufus even has chaos
- 23:00reshaped. So they're all pretty good.
- 23:01These are all pretty good frames as I
- 23:03think adaptive is obviously the best
- 23:04frame, but you know, they're all pretty
- 23:05good. And then for stasis autos, I
- 23:07honestly don't even want to mention
- 23:08intercalary. Um, you might even just
- 23:10want to use Decator and kill ads with
- 23:12Decar because the perk difference
- 23:14between these is just that big. So, I
- 23:16mean, you can use intercalary, but
- 23:17there's a reason I haven't bolded it.
- 23:18And I don't think any people on stasis
- 23:20builds are particularly sad um that they
- 23:22are not using intercalary and are
- 23:24instead using a different auto rifle.
- 23:26So, yeah, that's it for auto rifles.
- 23:27Let's go ahead and move on to bows. Bows
- 23:29are a lot more straightforward. So,
- 23:31bows. Um, this is maybe like a risky S
- 23:33tier, like rank one pick, but uh I put
- 23:35biting winds in the S tier at rank one
- 23:37because a bewildering burst. Now,
- 23:38normally bewildering burst, the way it
- 23:39works, if for those of you who are not
- 23:41aware, is you kill an enemy and then the
- 23:42next time you reload your weapon when
- 23:44you hit an enemy, a blinding missile
- 23:47will show up on the enemy that you hit
- 23:48and it will blow up and blind everything
- 23:49nearby. Now, normally this is not very
- 23:51good on pretty much every single primary
- 23:53type because it's just not worth it with
- 23:54how often you reload primaries. Um
- 23:56whereas with biting winds, because it's
- 23:58a bow, you're reloading every single
- 24:00time you shoot. And so because of bow
- 24:02lethality, especially with argent
- 24:03quiver, you're more than likely going to
- 24:04be oneshotting red bars. And this is
- 24:06basically a way of constantly keeping
- 24:08everything blinded that you're shooting.
- 24:09Now, you can argue that constantly
- 24:11blinding everything is maybe not that
- 24:12useful compared to like the increased
- 24:14lethality of like headstone firefly or
- 24:16dragonfly volts below it, but I thought
- 24:18it was a pretty cool and unique effect,
- 24:19so I wanted to give it some praise.
- 24:20Maybe I'll move it down later. It's
- 24:21probably still S tier, but of course, it
- 24:23also has kinetic tremors, which is
- 24:24pretty good on a bow. procs very
- 24:25quickly. And then you have winterized
- 24:27gear, which is a battle origin tree, but
- 24:28at least the frame is good. Uh, we also
- 24:30have the spiteful fang, which is
- 24:31definitely the base stasis bow. It just
- 24:32has Headstone Firefly, which I think um
- 24:34I honestly think headstone is like not
- 24:36that appealing on certain weapon types
- 24:38where it's kind of annoying to get crits
- 24:39like SMGs, especially like the higher
- 24:40fire rate SMGs, but on a bow, it's like
- 24:42perfect, right? So, Headstone, Firefly,
- 24:44excellent on a bow. Point of the stag
- 24:45basically has a good non-denu perks. It
- 24:48has skullking wolf instead of collective
- 24:49purpose, which is a better origin trait.
- 24:51It has less perk spread, but to be
- 24:52honest with you, Volshot is what really
- 24:54makes non-denit one special, right? And
- 24:56so, I don't really think you're going to
- 24:57be going chaos reshaped or megaura on
- 24:58this weapon. I just think bullshot is
- 25:00really what makes this bow special. Um,
- 25:01I really wish they put chaos reshaped in
- 25:03the first column or megaura in the first
- 25:05column. I think megaura vulture would be
- 25:06crazy. Even chaos reshaped full shot
- 25:08would be pretty crazy. So, that's why
- 25:09it's below point of the snack in my
- 25:11opinion. And then finally, you have a
- 25:12couple other things here. You have a
- 25:13crude redemption, which is really good
- 25:15with attrition gambit if you want to do
- 25:16like the orb spam thing with hierarchy.
- 25:18And then attrition kinetic is also fine
- 25:19as well. you have fortunate star which I
- 25:21think of all the primary types I think
- 25:23bows are maybe the weakest when it comes
- 25:25to abusing void perks just because
- 25:27volatile requires you to shoot enemies
- 25:29kind of constantly to trigger the you
- 25:30know volatile explosion effect whereas
- 25:32bows have a very low fire rate and then
- 25:34um you know but repulsor destabilizing
- 25:35bow is still pretty decent it's also a
- 25:37lightweight which kind of takes away
- 25:38from its score in my opinion a little
- 25:39bit and then you have hush if you want
- 25:41to do any sort of scorch build burning
- 25:42ambition incandescent pretty good I do
- 25:44think gun and runs increase to um your
- 25:47draw time on the bow is maybe a little
- 25:48bit more helpful than wild card. I
- 25:50honestly think in the past I've
- 25:51overrated wild card a little bit just
- 25:52because it has that internal cool down
- 25:54and like the little splash effect it
- 25:55does on the ground is not like super
- 25:56amazing or anything. So that's why I
- 25:58thought Hush might be like a little bit
- 26:00better in terms of just raw usability
- 26:01compared to Prius 9x4. And then finally
- 26:03two more bows. We have convened recurve.
- 26:06Convened recurve is basically uh if you
- 26:08just want a different frame bow that
- 26:09also has repulsor destabilizing. It has
- 26:11accelerated assault as well which I
- 26:12would take over Vice Stinger. And so
- 26:14yeah, that's pretty much it um for void
- 26:16bows. I think high impact long bows and
- 26:18lightweights both suffer from different
- 26:19problems. [music] And there might be
- 26:20some content where a high impact long
- 26:22bow is capable of one-shotting red bar
- 26:23and a lightweight isn't. So because of
- 26:25that, you know, I would rate convenient
- 26:26recurve [music] as being like
- 26:27potentially a highlight as well. And
- 26:29then finally, we have vengeful whisper.
- 26:30I do think strand crit perks like tear
- 26:32and hatchling and also like to some
- 26:33degree megaura um do benefit a lot from
- 26:36being on a bow specifically. And so I
- 26:38think not putting this thing in the A
- 26:39tier would be like a little bit
- 26:40disingenuous. I think it's actually
- 26:41pretty good. Uh even though Sundering is
- 26:43maybe not the best origin trait. And I
- 26:44know some people have pointed out like
- 26:46uh King Oreo jolting pretty quickly with
- 26:48jolting feedback, but unfortunately I do
- 26:49think the first column is like a little
- 26:50too weak on King Ofo for me to want to
- 26:52highlight it, especially compared to
- 26:53something like Point of the Stag. Okay,
- 26:55next up we have hand cannons. Hand
- 26:57cannons very contentious. Lots of very
- 26:59good hand cannons in this game right
- 27:00now. Uh we have the classic void options
- 27:01in Kindled Orchid and Ironwood 3. Now
- 27:03the reason why I haven't bolded Word of
- 27:05Cota is that adaptives and precision
- 27:06frames are essentially very similar when
- 27:08it comes to uh just, you know, being a
- 27:10hand cannon being useful. They're both
- 27:11barrier. They both have very similar
- 27:12damage profiles. I mean, I guess Kindle
- 27:14Orchid is like slightly more ammo genen.
- 27:15And you could argue that like forges kin
- 27:17is like a slightly better origin trait
- 27:19compared to cursed throll if you're not
- 27:20running a melee build. And Kindle Orchid
- 27:22also has access to shoot to loot
- 27:23explosive payload. So it's kind of like
- 27:24a jack of all trades really. It has
- 27:26repulsor destabilizing, solid origin
- 27:28trait, solid frame, and of course it
- 27:30has, you know, some utility stuff in the
- 27:32form of shoot to loot explosive. [music]
- 27:33And so and if you want to drop
- 27:34destabilizing, you can also run
- 27:35demoralize instead to have free weaken.
- 27:37So yeah, kindled kind of just does it
- 27:38all. Um, I think if you are a D2 player
- 27:40that's looking for like a, like I say in
- 27:42the notes here, a traditional hand
- 27:43cannon that's not a spreadshot or
- 27:45anything like weird like heat or dynamic
- 27:47or balance or anything like that, I
- 27:48think Kindle Orchid is probably the best
- 27:49pick. Um, you have Ironwood 03, which
- 27:51I've actually heard a lot of people
- 27:52praising because Repulsor destabilizing
- 27:54on a spreadshot is unsurprisingly very
- 27:57good. And then you also have collective
- 27:58action for void breaches from the same
- 28:00artifact if you're running beow. You can
- 28:01also run surrounded, which is a high
- 28:03damage perk as well. And then carry
- 28:05munitions is an excellent perk. Um
- 28:06because the insecttoid robot or whatever
- 28:08does actually quite a fair amount of
- 28:10damage. So [music] iron widow 3. Yeah,
- 28:12just like um I don't know if I was
- 28:13completely unbiased I suppose maybe
- 28:15might even be rank one. Um but I suppose
- 28:17it lacks barrier and you know it is you
- 28:19know it's explicitly melee range so it's
- 28:20a bit awkward. And then of course Word
- 28:22of Cro is kind of interesting because
- 28:23like if you're going to be melee range
- 28:25you might as well use Ironwood, right?
- 28:26And then I do think Ironwood is overall
- 28:28like a better weapon than Word of Cota
- 28:30in terms of damage profile in terms of
- 28:31like perk availability. So I don't know.
- 28:33I think Word of Cota is still very good.
- 28:34Don't get me wrong, that's why it's top
- 28:35three, but there's a reason it's not
- 28:37bullet. Uh, next we have the modified B7
- 28:39pistol, which I think the entire Destiny
- 28:40community agrees is the best kinetic
- 28:42slot hand cannon by a country mile. Uh,
- 28:44this thing has Firefly, Headstone,
- 28:45Accelerated Assault, one of the best
- 28:46frames for just raw minor DPS. And yeah,
- 28:49that's pretty much all I have to say
- 28:50about it. You have Z's Bane, the
- 28:52Pantheon version. I think the Pantheon
- 28:53version is a little bit better than the
- 28:54normal version. You have Firefly in the
- 28:56first column. That's like the main
- 28:57thing. And then elliptical orbit is
- 28:58arguably a better origin trait than
- 29:00Runith Over as well. So, you know,
- 29:01pretty solid. Um, obviously Zal's bane
- 29:03doesn't have any sort of sustain through
- 29:04like heal clip and repulsor brace, but I
- 29:06think most people would agree that Z's
- 29:07just hits really hard um with its perks.
- 29:09It's just like insane lethality on just
- 29:11both these perk columns. And so you kind
- 29:13of have to give it some credit for that.
- 29:14I'll give it in the S tier just for
- 29:16that. And then apocalypse
- 29:19bane with no Firefly in the first column
- 29:20and heal clip instead. And you have
- 29:22nanitech tracer missiles which is a
- 29:23better origin trait. So it's kind of a
- 29:24toss up between these two. You could put
- 29:25one higher over the other but they're
- 29:27both pretty good. And then you have
- 29:28Luna. Um, as Luna is, uh, basically just
- 29:31modified B7 pistol if you want
- 29:32specifically the barrier intrinsic. So,
- 29:33I thought I would bowl that as well. Uh,
- 29:35you have corandum hammer, which I think
- 29:36is the best kinetic slot generally
- 29:38speaking, shoot to loot explosive
- 29:40payload hand cannon because firefly and
- 29:42terror are pretty good in my opinion.
- 29:43Slice is also a good utility perk to
- 29:44have in like a low man or a solo, for
- 29:46example, for applying courage to a boss
- 29:47or, you know, severing a target to apply
- 29:49an elemental debuff. And so, I think it
- 29:51has a little bit more utility than
- 29:52vulpacula, but you can argue that a
- 29:53precision frame hand cannon is a better
- 29:55shoot explosive option than a grunt
- 29:56hammer. and I wouldn't really uh you
- 29:58know disagree with you necessarily. So
- 29:59these are both pretty good. Unloved I
- 30:01think is also deserving of a shout out
- 30:03because it is maybe the best uh user of
- 30:05subjugation in terms of raw damage
- 30:07profile um because it is a heavy burst
- 30:08hand cannon after all. You do have
- 30:10double stagger in the form of
- 30:11unstoppable intrinsic and highc caliber
- 30:12rounds. The perk options are maybe like
- 30:14a little bit disappointing, but I do
- 30:16think like hatchling terror isn't too
- 30:17bad. Um especially on like a strand
- 30:19build. So it is an option for sure if
- 30:21you want a strand option that's not like
- 30:22shoot to loot explosive payload
- 30:23specifically and that's why I decided to
- 30:25highlight [music] it. And then you have
- 30:26Nation of Beast. Nation of Beast, a lot
- 30:27of people have been praising this
- 30:28because of the gear shift jolting
- 30:30feedback combination. Uh I believe
- 30:31Jolting Feedback received a change or
- 30:33buff semi-reently to make it so that
- 30:35when you're amplified and on specific
- 30:37weapon types, it takes a lot fewer hits
- 30:39in order to get a sort of jolt. I
- 30:41believe on hand cannons, I think it's
- 30:42like even three or four hits. So, it's
- 30:44quite fast. And gear shift is a pretty
- 30:45solid perk to run for just raw damage on
- 30:48any sort of setup where you're getting
- 30:49amplified repeatedly through multi kills
- 30:51or ascensioning or whatever. And the
- 30:52only shame about this is that obviously
- 30:54you don't have any sort of sustain on
- 30:56nation of beasts through heal clip or
- 30:58through like repulsor brace and
- 30:59explosive pack is a pretty bad origin
- 31:01tree. But besides that, pretty good. Um
- 31:03that's about it for hand cannons. Let's
- 31:04go ahead and move on to pulse rifles. So
- 31:06pulse rifles, um I don't necessarily
- 31:08recommend them on the whole, but let's
- 31:09go over the highlights at least. We have
- 31:11Jocker's long sword, which has access to
- 31:13double stagger. It has shoot to loot. It
- 31:15has withering. It has repulsor. It has
- 31:16destabilizing. You could replace
- 31:18destabilizing with kill clip if you
- 31:19really wanted to if you are using
- 31:20[music] Vflow. It has accelerated
- 31:22assault, so it has basically everything
- 31:23you could ask for on a pulse. I mean,
- 31:25the frame is good. You have double
- 31:26stagger. You have repulsor
- 31:27destabilizing. You have swap options.
- 31:29You have shoot. You have withering gaze
- 31:30for debuff extension. You have
- 31:31accelerated. It has like literally
- 31:32everything you could ever want. Um, I
- 31:34mean, you could argue that the origin
- 31:35trait could be better or that the frame
- 31:36could be a different one if you don't
- 31:37like heavy burst, but you know, you have
- 31:38to admit it has kind of everything. Um,
- 31:41the next thing I bolded here is nullify.
- 31:43Um, just because it is the best solar
- 31:44pulse by quite a bit. It has heal clip
- 31:46for sustain. You have some good uh first
- 31:47column options for double splash. You
- 31:49have incandescent. You have mega. I
- 31:51think firefly megaur is pretty decent as
- 31:52well. You have chaos reshaped as an
- 31:54option. Firefly chaos reshaped is pretty
- 31:55good. The only downside here is
- 31:57obviously you don't have high caliber
- 31:58rounds despite the fact that this is a
- 31:59heavy burst weapon which would normally
- 32:01be able to have a double stagger access.
- 32:03And then you have collective purpose
- 32:04which the origin trait is not that great
- 32:05either. Uh down here we have high
- 32:07tyrant. High tyrant I think is the most
- 32:09lethal void pulse on this list if you're
- 32:11willing to use volatile flow for your
- 32:13destabilizing round source. And so you
- 32:14can run something like repulsor brace
- 32:16and mechanura. And this thing is
- 32:17absolutely lethal. I mean, effectively
- 32:19having three perks in the form of like
- 32:20repulsor brace, megaura, and like
- 32:22volatile flow together is just like very
- 32:24very lethal if you want to use a pulse
- 32:26rifle. It has a very strong splash perk
- 32:27combination. So that's why I bolded high
- 32:29tyrant here. If you scroll down a little
- 32:30bit here, we have the time war inspire.
- 32:32This is firefly and headstone. I have
- 32:33heard that this pulse rifle has some uh
- 32:35stability issues. So you may want to
- 32:37invest in getting a roll with like
- 32:38arrowhead or something like that. Um but
- 32:40just raw stat package wise. It is a
- 32:42rapid fire which is one of the better
- 32:43pulse rifle frames. You have firefly,
- 32:45headstone, and crystalline corsoom in
- 32:47case you want a different sort of stasis
- 32:48crystal perk. You have skullking wolf as
- 32:50well. So, you know, that's kind of why I
- 32:51wrote probably as good as a stasis pulse
- 32:53gets. I mean, maybe you could argue that
- 32:54you would want a heavy burst instead to
- 32:55make it a little easier to hit your
- 32:57crits, but yeah, pretty good regardless.
- 32:58We have all or nothing, which is a
- 33:00pretty solid pulse frame in the form of
- 33:01a dynamic. And it has firefly tear. You
- 33:03have slice in the first column as well,
- 33:04and you have accelerated assault. So,
- 33:06just pretty solid perks all around the
- 33:07board. Certainly not one of the
- 33:09strongest weapons on this list or
- 33:10something I would recommend universally,
- 33:11but you know, pretty good if you want
- 33:13specifically a Shran pulse. And then I'd
- 33:15also like to point out Chattering Bone
- 33:16and Blast Furnace. [music] Uh Chattering
- 33:18Bone specifically, it has elliptical
- 33:20orbit, which is pretty good. Um it has
- 33:21attrition orbs, kinetic tremors, which
- 33:23is pretty decent. You have kill clip
- 33:24kinetic tremors. You have sort of like
- 33:25this double perk action going on. It is
- 33:27a better frame, I would say, than blast
- 33:28furnace in the form of a lightweight.
- 33:30And I would say it does have a better
- 33:32origin trait as well. I'd say if you're
- 33:33willing to use a four burst pulse
- 33:35though, blast furnace is also really
- 33:36good, mostly because kinetic tremors and
- 33:37chaos reshape combined are really great.
- 33:39You have splash combined with a really
- 33:41really strong single target damage
- 33:42boost. You also have indomitability as
- 33:44an option for an origin trait as well. I
- 33:45don't typically put two origin traits in
- 33:47every single cell here. So I'm just
- 33:49mentioning like indomitability as an
- 33:50alternative if that's something you're
- 33:51interested in. The only shame here I
- 33:53guess is that you know no highc caliber
- 33:54rounds despite this being an unstop
- 33:55intrinsic so you can have like double
- 33:57stagger. Um but you know that's not the
- 33:58biggest deal in the world. And then
- 34:00finally for pulse rifles we have
- 34:01oversold edict as our arc representative
- 34:03which has rolling storm a new perk added
- 34:04in monument of triumph as well as gear
- 34:06shift jolting feedback. Um so some
- 34:08pretty interesting stuff from this pulse
- 34:09rifle maybe not the best user of cursed
- 34:11thraw given the typical range they use
- 34:12pulse rifles at. But I will say I mean
- 34:14you might think this is oh this is
- 34:15pretty good. Why isn't it in the S tier
- 34:17or why isn't it higher? I mean Rolling
- 34:18Storm, you know, it's like double
- 34:19splash. Why isn't it higher? I'm going
- 34:20to say right now, um, a little rant
- 34:22here, but I do think Rolling Storm is
- 34:23one of the most overrated perks in D2
- 34:25history. Compared to other splash perks
- 34:28that typically compete with it in the
- 34:29same column, Rolling Storm is kind of
- 34:31terrible, right? Um, unless your build
- 34:33specifically functions off of Bull
- 34:34Charge, which the main one is going to
- 34:35be Storm's Keep, which is perfectly
- 34:37capable of producing plenty of bull
- 34:38charge on its own without the use of
- 34:40wasting a perk slot on just getting bull
- 34:42charge. and rolling storm compared to
- 34:44the payoff that you receive from every
- 34:45other splashbook in the game. Whether
- 34:47we're talking headstone, crystine,
- 34:48corpse, boom, firefly, megaura, tear,
- 34:50volatile rounds from like destabilizing
- 34:52rounds, you have incandescent, like all
- 34:54of these perks, there is nothing that
- 34:55comes close to the delayed payoff that
- 34:57comes from rolling storm. And the bull
- 34:59charge damage isn't even like a
- 35:00significant step up over other elemental
- 35:02effects unless you boost it with
- 35:03flashover, which I don't know. I mean,
- 35:05that's not really cheating, but like
- 35:06it's not like the other splash effects,
- 35:08which are immediate require any sort of
- 35:09boost to [music] be pretty potent. And
- 35:10so Rolling Storm, I mean, it's
- 35:12technically positive in the first
- 35:13column, and I would take it over
- 35:15everything else in the first column on
- 35:16Oversold Edict. So, if you're wondering
- 35:17why I don't rate Rolling Storm as
- 35:18highly, or if you're wondering why I
- 35:20don't consider it to be like a full
- 35:21double splash [music] perk when it comes
- 35:22to ranking weapons, uh, that's that's
- 35:24kind of the reason. It's just definitely
- 35:25a cut below other splash perks. And I
- 35:27don't know why some people treat Rolling
- 35:29Storm as being up there with like Volt
- 35:30Shot or Jolting Feedback or really any
- 35:32other, you know, 3.0 splash perk. Okay,
- 35:34next up we have scout rifles. Now, scout
- 35:36rifles at rank one. Here we have vouch.
- 35:38Vouch safe. The only bad thing about
- 35:40vouch safe I guess there's two bad
- 35:41things. The only bad things about vouch
- 35:42safe is that the frame could be better.
- 35:44Lightweight is the second worst scout
- 35:45frame. [music] And advanced reflexes,
- 35:46while it did get a buff to increase your
- 35:48damage when you take damage upon adsing,
- 35:51uh it's still not that great. It's still
- 35:53not that great. So, vouch safe, you
- 35:54know, repulsor brace, destabilizing
- 35:56rounds, classic. You have shoot
- 35:57explosive payload. You have shoot
- 35:58withering gaze. This thing [music] is
- 35:59just a jack of all trades. Jack of all
- 36:01trades. Um, and I would argue it to be
- 36:03one of the better void scouts, even
- 36:05regardless of the utility perks [music]
- 36:06that it packs as well, and so I ranked
- 36:08it as rank one. We have Voltaic Shade.
- 36:10Voltaic Shade originally I had it below
- 36:12unworthy, but on second revisit, this
- 36:14thing procs jolting feedback. Probably
- 36:15the fastest of any weapon in the game.
- 36:17And the double splash here, I think
- 36:18Megaura is better than Firefly. I mean,
- 36:21just damage profile wise it is. You just
- 36:22don't have the reload buff. And so,
- 36:24Jolting Feedback, Megaura, very, very
- 36:25strong, very, very lethal perk combo.
- 36:27Balance frame scout is certainly not
- 36:28bad. And Imperial Allegiance is, I would
- 36:30say, significantly worse than
- 36:31Subjugation. But if you're just looking
- 36:33to use a scout rifle at range and you
- 36:35want something that's very lethal, I do
- 36:37think Voltaic Shade fits that
- 36:38description a little bit better.
- 36:39However, I will say unworthy if you like
- 36:41uh are are plinking away for some
- 36:42reason. Subjugation is super super
- 36:44excellent. And obviously, Fireflyy's
- 36:46reload buff is a little bit helpful as
- 36:47well. So, they're pretty close, but I do
- 36:48think Voltage Shade takes the cake for
- 36:50me. You have Trustee, which I think is
- 36:52the best heal clip/s solar sustain sort
- 36:54of scout rifle. It has heal clip access.
- 36:56has reconstruction which I would argue
- 36:57it actually isn't even that bad on
- 36:58trusty. I I don't like reconstruction on
- 37:00most primaries but I think trusty in
- 37:01particular I'm willing to make an
- 37:02exception for. Um incandescent burning
- 37:04ambition meura you know classic solar
- 37:06perks. Brain inheritance has a special
- 37:07interaction with incandescent where all
- 37:09the scorch ticks count as I think weapon
- 37:11damage or like damage ticks from the
- 37:12weapon for the purposes of the origin
- 37:14trait. So you can get a lot of ability
- 37:15regen from range using this weapon. So
- 37:17yeah, trustee I think it's pretty good.
- 37:18You have doom of chelches or doom of
- 37:20kelkus or I don't know something like
- 37:21that. Um, this weapon is only let down
- 37:24by the fact that it is a precision frame
- 37:26which is a significantly worse archetype
- 37:28than most other scout archetypes. And it
- 37:30has runth over which is not the best
- 37:32origin trait. Um, not active a lot of
- 37:34the time and there are just a lot of
- 37:35better origin traits that you'd rather
- 37:37take. Yeah, look at this thing's purple.
- 37:38It is firefly repulsor brace if you
- 37:40decide to take be flow. If you don't
- 37:41need overshield, you can run
- 37:42destabilizing rounds of mega. So yeah,
- 37:44pretty pretty crazy perks on Doom of
- 37:45Chelchius. And then finally, the last
- 37:47void scout that I want to talk about is
- 37:48actually pointed inquiry. Very
- 37:50interesting. So, for those of you who
- 37:51did not watch the archetype video, high
- 37:53impact scouts actually are the best
- 37:54scout rifle archetype mathematically
- 37:56right now. And this thing has access to
- 37:58double stagger. It is psycho hack, which
- 37:59is excellent. And then you have repulsor
- 38:01brace. And you can run demoralize or you
- 38:02can run maybe dragonfly. Probably
- 38:03demoralize. And then if this assumes
- 38:05you're getting V flow from the artifact,
- 38:06if you're getting V flow from the
- 38:08artifact, this thing you can stagger an
- 38:10enemy very quickly because of double
- 38:11stagger. You have psycho hack, so you
- 38:12can exhaust the enemy and stop them from
- 38:14doing as much damage to you. And then it
- 38:15is technically the best archetype of
- 38:17scout rifle when it comes to just raw
- 38:18mathematical performance. And so if you
- 38:20can get over the RPM of a high impact
- 38:22being maybe something that's a little
- 38:23bit uncomfortable to use, this thing is
- 38:25actually pretty good. It's actually
- 38:26pretty good. Um, it is a little artifact
- 38:28reliant. Next up, we have fang of irute.
- 38:30Fang of Ute is a rapid fire strand
- 38:32scout. Um, I just decided to highlight
- 38:34this because it has tear megaura, which
- 38:36I think is pretty good. Curse Thraw is
- 38:38kind of a dead origin trait at the
- 38:39ranges that you tend to use Fangir Ute
- 38:41at. Yeah, pretty solid. I mean, like I
- 38:42would say like ter meura is better than
- 38:44like firefly tear here, but to be
- 38:45honest, Fangiru and the scholar are
- 38:47pretty close together. if you're okay
- 38:48with using a high impact, you know, the
- 38:49scholar is, I think, fine as well. Um,
- 38:51you have Hungjury SR4. I don't actually
- 38:53recommend this weapon to be honest
- 38:54because it is a precision uh scout rifle
- 38:56and the perks that it has, they're like
- 38:58pretty good. You can like KT Firefly, KT
- 39:00ancillary. Um, I only pointed this out
- 39:02because it is like the shoot to loot
- 39:03explosive payload option in the kinetic
- 39:05slot for scout rifle specifically if you
- 39:06don't want to use a hand cannon for
- 39:07whatever reason. And then in the energy
- 39:09slot, if you want to shoot to loot
- 39:10explosive payload option, we have nature
- 39:11reclaimed, which is pretty good. You
- 39:13know, it's a lightweight, not not a not
- 39:14an amazing frame, but for quality of
- 39:16life, it's pretty good with shoot
- 39:17explosive payload. And you have heel
- 39:18clip, incandescent, and skullking wolf
- 39:20as well, which are certainly not bad
- 39:22perks either. And then next up, we have
- 39:24sidearms. Sidearms, we have a decent
- 39:26amount of sidearms to talk about. In
- 39:28rank one, I would say compact defender
- 39:29is excellent just because of its frame.
- 39:31Dynamic is a really, really solid frame.
- 39:33Very, very high one mag minor DPS. And
- 39:36then, of course, you have the classic
- 39:37void combo with accelerated assault.
- 39:38just an excellent and very lethal
- 39:40outlier when it comes to raw damage
- 39:42performance. But if you're willing to
- 39:43sacrifice a little bit of that damage
- 39:44performance, I would say brass attacks
- 39:45is a very, very, very close second.
- 39:47Heavy burst is a pretty decent
- 39:49archetype. And then you have unstoppable
- 39:51and high caliber for that double stagger
- 39:52that I was talking about. You have
- 39:53repulsor brace, you have destabilizing
- 39:55rounds, and you have land tank, the
- 39:56return of land tank. Land tank, for
- 39:58those of you that don't know, is an
- 39:59absolutely insane origin trade. It gives
- 40:01you a stackable 5% up to three stacks of
- 40:04DR every time you get a kill. And you
- 40:06can just stack it, stack it, stack it,
- 40:07keep it going. This origin trait is one
- 40:09of the best in the game for any sort of
- 40:11ad clear weapon. And of course, you can
- 40:12drop these stave and run like repulsor
- 40:14demoralizer, repulsor rampage as well.
- 40:16So, just really really excellent.
- 40:17Honestly, with the way I'm talking about
- 40:18brass attacks, you might think it's rank
- 40:19one, but honestly, they're really really
- 40:20close together. You could trade these uh
- 40:22any day and I think it'd be totally
- 40:23fine. Uh seven serifi 2. I know it's not
- 40:25bolded, but I think it's also pretty
- 40:27decent as well. Lightweight frame a
- 40:28little bit worse than these two. Um and
- 40:30it does have, you know, megaura and
- 40:32surrounded as well if you want like that
- 40:33double splash effectiveness or like
- 40:34destabilizing with like a really strong
- 40:36single target damage perk. But I do
- 40:37think it's a little worse overall
- 40:38compared to brass and compact. [music]
- 40:40You have evening SI4 which is easily the
- 40:42best heal clip incandescent primary in
- 40:44the game. Excellent excellent archetype
- 40:46here in the form of the adapted burst.
- 40:47And then accelerated assault is never
- 40:49going to be an origin trait that you
- 40:50turn down. Insurmountable despite being
- 40:52the worst archetype of sidearm in the
- 40:54form of a precision. It does have access
- 40:55to attrition orbs which is kind of
- 40:57interesting and dark ether reaper. Um
- 40:59attrition orbs is really really good on
- 41:01sidearms. They dump their mags very very
- 41:02quickly, if not even faster than SMGs,
- 41:04which people praise a lot for quick
- 41:06attrition orbs creation times. And then
- 41:08Dark Ether Reaper is an excellent
- 41:09excellent origin trait to have on a
- 41:11primary. Uh for those of you that are
- 41:12not aware of Dark Eye the Reaper, uh go
- 41:14check it out. Go check it out on
- 41:15Compentium and you'll you'll see what I
- 41:16mean. Another couple sidearms that I
- 41:18want to highlight in the A tier here.
- 41:19Anonymous Autumn is an attrition orbs, a
- 41:22lightweight sidearm. And this one I
- 41:23think is notable because it actually
- 41:25makes orbs faster than Multimok. It
- 41:26makes them in nine shots when it has a
- 41:2814 mag. And I think generally speaking
- 41:30when you're using this, you are very
- 41:31likely to create one orb per mag. And
- 41:33the amount of time that it takes to dump
- 41:35that mag really quickly and just get a
- 41:36quick reload off and use volt is pretty
- 41:38pretty fast honestly. So if this thing
- 41:40had more sustain or if it was void, um I
- 41:43think it would be definitely in the S
- 41:44tier. Um but it definitely a little bit
- 41:46notable just because it can make orbs
- 41:47very quickly just like multimok and the
- 41:49damage profile is certainly better than
- 41:50multimok. If you're looking for like an
- 41:52energy multimok equivalent, honestly the
- 41:54more apt comparison might even be like
- 41:56your tide apex cuz your tide apex is an
- 41:57attrition or SMG people using the energy
- 41:59slot. And honestly comparing the two, I
- 42:01mean like the origin trait on anonymous
- 42:03autumn is certainly better. Build tested
- 42:04is basically like a permanent reload
- 42:06buff if you're just playing the game and
- 42:07running around. Lightweight sardum has a
- 42:09better damage profile certainly than
- 42:10lightweight SMG. And vault shot you can
- 42:12argue is more useful than some of the
- 42:14stuff in the your tide apex's second
- 42:15column. So if you're a tight Apex lover,
- 42:17maybe try out anonymous autumn. It's
- 42:19it's uh it's not too bad. Uh, I'm not
- 42:20going to say that ominous autom has heal
- 42:22clip, but if you're going to use heal
- 42:23clip instead of attrition orbs, you
- 42:24should just use the solar sidearm
- 42:25instead, which we've talked about
- 42:26already. We also have empirical evidence
- 42:28if you're going to use a kinetic slot
- 42:30sidearm, this thing has kinetic tremors
- 42:31and psycho hack. Um, unfortunately,
- 42:33Bungie never progressed to the point of
- 42:35giving us a kinetic tremors, a sidearm
- 42:37that's like truly good. But, uh, heavy
- 42:38burst, not bad. High caliber rounds, you
- 42:40can pair them for like that double
- 42:41stagger action I was talking about
- 42:42before. And then enlightened action in
- 42:44the first column. It's like not a
- 42:45terrible perk, right? You get a lot of
- 42:47reload off of this, but imagine if this
- 42:48was attrition orbs. I mean, this would
- 42:49easily be in the S tier and it would be
- 42:51competing with the likes of Multimog.
- 42:52So, honestly, empirical evidence not too
- 42:54bad, but obviously you're lacking um in
- 42:56the first column a little bit and that's
- 42:57what's preventing it from being really
- 42:58like a top tier pick. And then you also
- 43:00have Peace Bond. Peace Bond um not a
- 43:02particularly amazing weapon. You know,
- 43:04Headstone is pretty decent. Skullking
- 43:05Wolf is a good origin trait. That second
- 43:07column is not particularly amazing, but
- 43:09uh I it's mostly up here because of the
- 43:11adaptive verse frame that it has. It is
- 43:13anti- barrier and it is mathematically
- 43:15the best or one of the best sidearm
- 43:17archetypes. And so I did want to point
- 43:18it out if you want to use a headstone
- 43:19sidearm, I would probably personally use
- 43:21peace spawn over something like liinal
- 43:23vigil. And then if we scroll down a
- 43:24little bit into B tier, if you want to
- 43:25use like a strand sidearm, I would say
- 43:26Michael's reference is a little bit
- 43:28better than breach light just because of
- 43:29its sheer ammo genen stat. And then you
- 43:31have slice of course for procing severed
- 43:33stuff with the artifact. Hatchling is
- 43:35decent. Master of arms is decent in the
- 43:36second column as well. So yeah,
- 43:37Michael's reference rapid firef 67 ammo
- 43:40genen. Pretty solid. Finally, we have
- 43:43SMGs. SMGs. SMGs. SMGs. Okay, in the S
- 43:46tier on SMGs, I would say rank one
- 43:48multimok has been dethroned. I do think
- 43:50it is unforgiven. Unforgiven has double
- 43:52stagger. So, it is a worse archetype
- 43:54than a lightweight because aggressives
- 43:55have slightly lower and worse damage
- 43:57profiles than lightweights. But you have
- 43:58double stagger on an SMG, which is
- 44:00pretty good. Aggressive, unstoppable,
- 44:02intrinsic, high caliber rounds, and then
- 44:03you have destabilizing rounds, repulsor
- 44:05brace, which is a classic combo, but you
- 44:06can also choose to run attrition orbs,
- 44:07repulsor brace. And if you run Vflow,
- 44:09you essentially have an attrition orbs,
- 44:11repulsor brace, destabilizing double
- 44:14stagger SMG, which is excellent. You can
- 44:16also run destabilizing rounds, chaos
- 44:17reshape. You can run attrition chaos
- 44:19reshaped if you don't mind not having
- 44:20repulsor as much. And you can get V flow
- 44:22from the artifact. And essentially, you
- 44:24have a year tide apex with a better
- 44:26origin trait for reload up time. Um, I
- 44:28would say bitter spite is a little bit
- 44:29better than text balance stock in that
- 44:30regard. And then you also have attrition
- 44:32orbs with a slightly lower rate, but you
- 44:34have double stagger and you have void
- 44:35synergy instead, which I would say is
- 44:37significantly better than what your
- 44:39tight Apex has to offer when it comes to
- 44:40survivability. Multimon is still kind of
- 44:43in the same place. You have attrition
- 44:44orbs, kinetic tremors, you know, classic
- 44:45with skullking wolf. Um, you have
- 44:47recluse, which I've noted here
- 44:48specifically because it's a lightweight.
- 44:50Um, if you want a lightweight repulsor
- 44:51destabilizing SMG and you don't really
- 44:53care about attrition orbs, I would take
- 44:54this over unforgiven. However, granted,
- 44:56if you're going to use a void primary
- 44:58and you want repulsor destabilizing and
- 45:00you're not using attrition, I'd probably
- 45:01just use a sidearm instead, but I
- 45:03suppose it's notable to some degree.
- 45:05Bugout bag is basically just here
- 45:06because it's an adaptive frame, which
- 45:07has the anti- barrier intrinsic, um,
- 45:09which none of these others have, so I
- 45:10thought I'd put one in the S tier that
- 45:12has that. I believe M17 Fast talker is
- 45:14able to get two orbs per mag thanks to
- 45:16accelerated assault. It also is a pretty
- 45:18decent frame and it also has access to
- 45:19crystalline corpse instead of kinetic
- 45:20tremors which has better stasis synergy
- 45:22but kinetic tremors I would say is a
- 45:24little bit more universally applicable.
- 45:25And then you have your tide apex which I
- 45:27suppose is notable for being like a
- 45:28nutrition orbs lightweight. But then
- 45:30again bugout bag also has the same RPM
- 45:32and is a nutrition orbs weapon and it's
- 45:34void instead of solar. So you can kind
- 45:36of argue that your tide apex is kind of
- 45:38worse than bugout bag in some ways. Um
- 45:40yeah that's definitely certainly an
- 45:42interesting thought actually. I've never
- 45:43had that thought until now. [music] Um
- 45:45cuz I've always looked at bugout bag as
- 45:46just being like the adaptive repulsor
- 45:47destabilizing option, but I just
- 45:48realized that has attrition orbs. I
- 45:50suppose, you know, if attrition orbs was
- 45:51in the second column instead of the
- 45:52first column. I think bugout bag would
- 45:54kind of strictly be better than your
- 45:55tide. Um but that's a discussion for
- 45:57another day. And then we have
- 45:58submission. Submission. A lot of people
- 45:59have pointed out this thing has kinetic
- 46:00tremors and chaos reshape, which is a
- 46:01completely unique perk combo to have on
- 46:03an SMG up until this point. It also has
- 46:04soul drinker, which is pretty good on an
- 46:06SMG for a bit of healing as well. So the
- 46:08way I look at submission, it's kind of
- 46:09like a multimok if you don't care about
- 46:11orbs. um it's just better for sustain
- 46:13overall compared to a multimok and just
- 46:15does more damage. And so that's kind of
- 46:17nice. Although I would argue that if
- 46:18you're not running attrition orbs, if
- 46:19you're not running an SMG for attrition
- 46:21orbs, there are other archetypes on
- 46:23other families that I would argue are
- 46:24just better. And so yeah, I don't know.
- 46:26Submission is kind of a preference based
- 46:28thing, I suppose. And then finally, last
- 46:30but not least, we have imminence.
- 46:31Eminence is a lightweight SMG, so the
- 46:33best frame. It has a solid ammo gen
- 46:35stat. And we have a bunch of perks here
- 46:37that are strand related. We have tear
- 46:38and slice in the first column, chaos
- 46:40reshaped, hatchling and firefly in the
- 46:41second column. Just a solid utility SMG
- 46:43all around. And if you're running like a
- 46:45strand build with artifact mods that
- 46:47benefit from like defeating severed
- 46:48targets, defeating unravel targets, then
- 46:49imminence is pretty decent. So that is
- 46:51pretty much all I have to talk about
- 46:53when it comes to individual tier list.
- 46:54Let's talk about what I actually
- 46:56recommend. Now, let's talk about what I
- 46:57actually recommend. So when it comes to
- 47:00primaries in Destiny, I would say there
- 47:02are a couple families that are
- 47:03non-starters. I think pulse rifles are
- 47:05kind of non-starters. auto rifles are
- 47:07strictly just better than them in the
- 47:08same range tier. I would say scout
- 47:10rifles are largely not very useful in
- 47:12the way people play in the modern
- 47:13sandbox which is a lot more close to
- 47:14mid-range than it used to be. And then I
- 47:16would say SMGs are largely mostly just
- 47:19useful for attritions. And so as a
- 47:21result auto rifles I'm going to
- 47:23recommend you know all three of these
- 47:24support autos are pretty good. If you
- 47:25want like a classic just energy slot um
- 47:28you know ad clear auto I think reckless
- 47:29oracle is pretty solid. Positive outlook
- 47:31is like an interesting alternative that
- 47:33you can explore if you're willing to
- 47:34take beow specifically. And then if you
- 47:36want a kinetic slot auto, I would say
- 47:37skate lock is generally the best one. In
- 47:39the bow slot, this is bows are like,
- 47:42someone was asking me earlier um when I
- 47:44would recommend bows over auto rifles.
- 47:45It's really a preference thing. It's
- 47:46really a preference thing. Um obviously
- 47:48bows will drop off a lot in content
- 47:49where you can't one-shot red bars with
- 47:51crits. Um but that's not most content. I
- 47:52would say most content, even in um some
- 47:54some upper deltas, you can definitely
- 47:56still one-shot red bars with a crit,
- 47:58especially if you run argent quiver. And
- 48:00so yeah, bows, I mean, you know, you can
- 48:02run spiteful bang, you can run biting
- 48:04winds. Um, it's kind of up to you
- 48:05though. I I think bows are for a
- 48:07specific type of player. Um, and if you
- 48:09do play around bows, I think you won't
- 48:11really have any trouble deciding on what
- 48:13bow is best for you out of the ones that
- 48:14I've recommended here. So, I'm not going
- 48:16to really mention too many names. Um,
- 48:17but yeah, I mean, I've already bolded
- 48:19them and talked about the ones that I
- 48:20think are relevant. Um, you have hand
- 48:22cannons. Hand cannons, despite not
- 48:23really having any specific artifact
- 48:24support, are still very strong. I think
- 48:27Kindled orchid and Ironwood are
- 48:28definitely like my picks. And then
- 48:30modified B7 pistol if you want to use
- 48:31specifically a kinetic slot one. As much
- 48:33as you know people love zies and
- 48:34apocalypration, I do think the void
- 48:36picks are kind of just better. They are
- 48:38kind of just better. Um, unless you're
- 48:40in content where you don't really
- 48:41benefit from the void overshield as much
- 48:43in which case these are going to be a
- 48:44little bit more lethal and you can take
- 48:46a look at them. But, uh, yeah, these are
- 48:47mostly the picks for the most part. I
- 48:49would say corundum hammer is obviously
- 48:50useful for shoot to loot explosive
- 48:52payload. So, just getting like an energy
- 48:53slot shoot to loot explosive payload
- 48:54kindled orchid and then a kinetic slot
- 48:56shoot explosive payload corundum hammer
- 48:58for endgame content can be useful. But
- 48:59for the most part, I'm just going to
- 49:00recommend the stuff that's in the S
- 49:02tier. And then on pulses, we've already
- 49:04talked about this. I don't really
- 49:05recommend getting any pulses to be
- 49:06honest with you. Um, scout rifles is
- 49:08kind of the same deal. Um, you can maybe
- 49:10look at some shoot explosive payload
- 49:11stuff and voltage shade is kind of a
- 49:13standout and maybe uh, you know, pointed
- 49:15in is kind of like a standout when it
- 49:16comes to damage profiles and and running
- 49:18vlow, but I honestly still don't think
- 49:20they're they're that worth it and
- 49:21they're kind of awkward to use at closer
- 49:22ranges. Um, sidearms, lots of good
- 49:24sidearms. I would say compact defender
- 49:26is great, brass attacks is great,
- 49:27evening SI4 is great. If you want a
- 49:29nutrition option, insurmountable is
- 49:31pretty good. Those are the four big ones
- 49:32I'd be looking at. And then SMGs, I
- 49:34would say Unforgiven is kind of a
- 49:36standout. Um, even though it is an SMG,
- 49:39if you want like a nutrition orbs SMG, I
- 49:40think it's very solid. I think bugout
- 49:42bag, honestly, now that I've realized
- 49:43that it has attrition orbs, is also
- 49:45pretty solid as well. You have barrier
- 49:46intrinsic. The frame is barely worse
- 49:48than a lightweight. Yeah, bugout bag. I
- 49:50would definitely trade a barrier
- 49:51intrinsic for having like a slightly
- 49:52worse damage profile than your tight
- 49:53Apex any day. And then, of course, it's
- 49:55void. So you can get void overshield,
- 49:57you can get destabilizing volatile
- 49:58rounds from the artifact in 10 different
- 50:00ways. So uh yeah, pretty strong there.
- 50:02And then multimok, I mean, if you want
- 50:03to use multimok, you can still use
- 50:04multimok for generating [music] orbs. Uh
- 50:06just know that there are other options
- 50:08out there like ever burning blitz and
- 50:09sca lock if you're willing to drop a
- 50:11little bit of orb generation for just a
- 50:13better weapon profile overall. I would
- 50:15say the vast majority of the other SMGs,
- 50:17even the ones that are bolded here, can
- 50:18be substituted by other weapons, unless
- 50:20sidearms, um and maybe auto rifles as
- 50:22well. Um, but that's uh, you know, kind
- 50:24of up to you. So, that's pretty much it
- 50:26for primaries. Uh, this was kind of a
- 50:28long talk, but I hope you guys enjoyed
- 50:29me kind of looking through all the new
- 50:31primaries that I think are potentially
- 50:33relevant within each element. I skipped
- 50:34over some of them, like, you know,
- 50:35stasis autos, stasis pulses didn't
- 50:37really get as much love, for example,
- 50:38cuz there's very few of them that I
- 50:40would consider to be endgame relevant.
- 50:42Um, but yeah, that's pretty much it.
- 50:44There are a lot of auto rifles, a lot of
- 50:46bows, a lot of hand cannons that I
- 50:48didn't talk about that got new perks.
- 50:49And so, if you're curious about those,
- 50:50definitely go check them out. But um
- 50:52it's definitely not like sustainable for
- 50:54me to talk about all of them and every
- 50:55single change that has occurred. And
- 50:57yeah, that's about it for today. And uh
- 50:59for those of you who are waiting for the
- 51:00shopping list, that will definitely come
- 51:02out after I do a little bit of more
- 51:04exotic weapon testing. And once I'm done
- 51:06with that, we will certainly put
- 51:07together a shopping list including where
- 51:09to get these things uh as well as why
- 51:11you should be considering them. I will
- 51:13definitely make a slideshow actually
- 51:14shopping list which I think will be
- 51:15quite appealing for a lot of people.
- 51:17Yeah, it'll be like a presentation that
- 51:19covers every single weapon role that
- 51:20endgame players should be looking to
- 51:22fill and what the best options in those
- 51:24roles are. That is pretty much it for
- 51:26this one, guys. I will see you probably
- 51:27in 2 days for the special tier list once
- 51:29I finish working on that. And uh after
- 51:31that, we'll be the power tier list. I'll
- 51:32do exotic weapon testing. I'll probably
- 51:34do like an exotic weapon tier list. Uh
- 51:36perk and origin tier list will be
- 51:37updated because that needs some work as
- 51:38well. And then we will finish the
- 51:40shopping list. And uh yeah, so I'll see
- 51:42you guys around and thanks for watching.
