3. 0:04a cop by the name of louis scottsdale
4. 0:06walked in the door
5. 0:07uh they pulled guns on me told me to
6. 0:09stand on the wall don't move if this guy
7. 0:11moved shoot him in his back
8. 0:14uh came up on me kissed me in the side
9. 0:15of my cheek and said lg [ __ ]

11. 0:19um lg to me meant it was a housing
12. 0:22project where i grew up in brooklyn
13. 0:24so i knew that he was automatically from
14. 0:26brooklyn when he said lg [ __ ]
15. 0:28and he said um what's your name show me
16. 0:30a picture of me whatever and told me
17. 0:32that i was being arrested
18. 0:34uh for the death of the daniel cash that
19. 0:36happened in brooklyn
20. 0:38um i'm like
21. 0:40you know like
22. 0:42what the [ __ ] you know what i mean i
23. 0:43heard that the cops was acting for me in
24. 0:45the neighborhood about this but i'm
25. 0:47thinking they're not gonna when you
26. 0:48didn't do it you're not thinking that
27. 0:50sure
28. 0:51and definitely not twice
29. 0:53right you're not this is not happening
30. 0:55again in my mind right this is fitz
31. 0:57cannot be i was arrested
32. 0:59took to brooklyn
33. 1:01uh
34. 1:02went to trial about a year later
35. 1:05they bought a witness in
36. 1:07who said that she was present when the
37. 1:09murder happened that i walked up in the
38. 1:11vestibule in the building
39. 1:12axed her with her boyfriend at even
40. 1:14though he was standing right there shot
41. 1:16him several times he killed him
42. 1:19that was her story
43. 1:21um ballistics evidence proved
44. 1:23that this guy was shot with two
45. 1:25different guns
46. 1:26and he was shot outside in the sidewalk
47. 1:29where he died not in the vestibule in
48. 1:31the building
49. 1:32uh it also proved
50. 1:34um that the witness definitely didn't
51. 1:36see the crime because she said he was
52. 1:38shot in the building there was no there
53. 1:40was nothing found in the building it all
54. 1:41proved anybody was shot
55. 1:43despite that
56. 1:44i was convicted
57. 1:46um
58. 1:47and
59. 1:50you know immediately after i was
60. 1:51convicted
61. 1:52i found the motion to set aside the
62. 1:54verdict
63. 1:55because i found
64. 1:57a memo book from a detective who didn't
65. 1:59testify at trial
66. 2:01that indicated that this same person
67. 2:03that said she saw me kill her boyfriend
68. 2:06had a fact told him immediately when he
69. 2:09arrived on the scene of crime that she
70. 2:10didn't see the crime
71. 2:12that she was at a store around the
72. 2:13corner when she came back her boyfriend
73. 2:15was already on the floor dead
74. 2:17so she changed her story she changed her
75. 2:19story and the jury didn't hear that and
76. 2:21and what the prosecutor had instructed
77. 2:23the jury was that the first statement
78. 2:25she ever made was that i killed her
79. 2:27boyfriend and she never changed her
80. 2:29story she said that from the beginning
81. 2:30when in fact we now knew
82. 2:32that that's not true she first said
83. 2:35that she didn't see it
84. 2:37the judge was
85. 2:39very upset
86. 2:40he was asking the prosecutor okay let's
87. 2:42get to the bottom line now
88. 2:44did she say this they said yes
89. 2:47what would that jury have done had they
90. 2:48knew this all right and the jury know
91. 2:51she first told the cops she didn't see
