- 0:42On this auspicious occasion, I wish to
- 0:45extend my heartfelt felicitation to the
- 0:48leadership and the members of the
- 0:51Communist Party of China as well as to
- 0:54the government and brotherly people of
- 0:55China. For over a century,
- 0:59the CPC
- 1:00has guided the Chinese people
- 1:04through a remarkable journey
- 1:06of transformation and rejuvenation.
- 1:10Under its visionary leadership,
- 1:13China has emerged as a symbol
- 1:16of
- 1:17an unparalleled economic development,
- 1:21lifting hundreds of millions of people
- 1:23out of poverty, the data which honorable
- 1:26ambassador shared.
- 1:29China's success has benefited the world,
- 1:32including
- 1:34through the frameworks of shared
- 1:36prosperity,
- 1:38common development, and building a
- 1:40community with shared future for
- 1:43mankind.
- 1:45Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:47for Pakistan, this anniversary marks an
- 1:50important opportunity
- 1:52to celebrate not only China's
- 1:54achievements, but also the ironclad
- 1:57friendship that defines our partnership
- 2:00with China.
- 2:02The friendship has been nurtured by
- 2:05successive generations of our leaders
- 2:08and embodies the profound aspirations of
- 2:11our people. Today,
- 2:13Pakistan-China friendship stands as a
- 2:16shining model of mutual trust,
- 2:19mutual respect, and mutually beneficial
- 2:22cooperation.
- 2:24Here, I wish to especially honor
- 2:28the Chinese
- 2:30People's
- 2:32Republic's Communist Party of China's
- 2:34leadership,
- 2:35whose wisdom
- 2:37and sagacity
- 2:39have been instrumental in shaping
- 2:42a resilient, dynamic, and time-tested
- 2:46China-Pakistan partnership.
- 2:49Ladies and gentlemen,
- 2:50China and Pakistan have always supported
- 2:53each other's sovereignty,
- 2:55territorial integrity,
- 2:58and core interests.
- 3:01Our friendship is a living example of
- 3:04the all-weather strategic cooperative
- 3:06partnership.
- 3:08Over the years,
- 3:10we have established
- 3:11a multitude of avenues to promote our
- 3:15bilateral cooperation.
- 3:17But one particular avenue that I wish to
- 3:21highlight
- 3:22this evening is the party-to-party
- 3:25exchanges.
- 3:26Regular dialogue between the Communist
- 3:29Party of China
- 3:30and political parties of Pakistan
- 3:33has facilitated in deepening mutual
- 3:36understanding,
- 3:37exchanging governance experiences, and
- 3:40aligning our vision for development and
- 3:43modernization.
- 3:46Such institutional interactions have
- 3:48laid a solid foundation
- 3:50for people-to-people connectivity
- 3:53ensuring that China-Pakistan friendship
- 3:56is passed on from generation to
- 3:58generation with continued vigor and
- 4:01vitality.
- 4:03Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen,
- 4:06as the president of international
- 4:07affairs of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz,
- 4:10I would like to underscore the
- 4:11long-standing bonds of friendship
- 4:13between Communist Party of China and
- 4:16Pakistan Muslim League N. I also
- 4:18appreciate the CPC continuous engagement
- 4:22with all political parties of Pakistan.
- 4:25Very recently, on 24th of May,
- 4:28they celebrated in Beijing
- 4:32the international department of Chinese
- 4:34Communist Party
- 4:37their Pakistan and China 75th
- 4:40anniversary.
- 4:42I was invited as chief guest.
- 4:44I co-chaired with Minister Liu, who
- 4:47heads the IDCPC,
- 4:49and they invited all political parties
- 4:51from China,
- 4:53and there was almost 100 participants
- 4:55from across
- 4:57the country, all political parties. I
- 4:59think that was a really grand function
- 5:03they held to celebrate 75th
- 5:06anniversary of the Chinese-Pakistan
- 5:09leadership and the relationship. There
- 5:11are
- 5:12ample evidences, I would say,
- 5:15which we can quote
- 5:17to see how close Pakistan and China
- 5:21works.
- 5:22Regardless which political party's
- 5:24governance, the relationship with China
- 5:26remains the same and at the top
- 5:29priority.
- 5:30These ties
- 5:32are underpinned by regular exchanges
- 5:34between the leadership of the two
- 5:35parties, which feed into the strategic
- 5:38mutual trust between our two countries.
- 5:41The launch of China-Pakistan Economic
- 5:42Corridor
- 5:44in 2015 during the government of
- 5:47Pakistan Muslim League marked a pivotal
- 5:49moment in the history of bilateral
- 5:52relations.
- 5:53Not only did the CPEC expand the scope
- 5:56of practical cooperation,
- 5:59it helped Pakistan successfully
- 6:01overcome the daunting challenges of
- 6:04electricity shortages in pre-2013-14,
- 6:09and it supported Pakistan economic
- 6:11development,
- 6:13and the all outages which were almost 18
- 6:15to 20 hours in the urban areas and 20 to
- 6:1921 hours in rural area all got vanished.
- 6:24Ladies and gentlemen, excellencies, the
- 6:26CPEC also strengthened our road
- 6:28infrastructure while generating
- 6:30employment opportunities for our
- 6:32citizens,
- 6:33including in rural and less developed
- 6:36parts of Pakistan.
- 6:40Now, the CPEC second phase
- 6:42is focused on high-quality development,
- 6:45with priority areas including
- 6:48industrialization,
- 6:49agriculture, mines and minerals, IT and
- 6:53human resource development.
- 6:56Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, I'm
- 6:58delighted to share
- 7:00that a mutually reinforcing relationship
- 7:02exists
- 7:03between the CPEC 2.0 and Pakistan's five
- 7:08E's framework for development that
- 7:11prioritizes exports,
- 7:13e-Pakistan,
- 7:15environment and climate change, energy
- 7:18and infrastructure, and equity and
- 7:20empowerment. I'm confident that this
- 7:23alignment of visions between China and
- 7:26Pakistan will bring even greater
- 7:28prosperity, innovation, and shared
- 7:31growth for our two peoples.
- 7:34Importantly, these shared priorities
- 7:37will give
- 7:38a fresh impetus to the efforts aimed as
- 7:42building the China-Pakistan
- 7:44corridor
- 7:46a vibrant one
- 7:47and also China-Pakistan community with a
- 7:50shared future in the new era.
- 7:53Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen,
- 7:55today's anniversary comes against the
- 7:57backdrop of an uncertain regional and
- 8:00institutional situation.
- 8:03As a peace-loving nation,
- 8:05Pakistan continues to advance the
- 8:07mediation process through
- 8:10persistent outreach and sustained
- 8:12engagement.
- 8:14Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen,
- 8:16thankfully, the peace efforts achieved
- 8:19the signing of the historic Islamabad
- 8:21Memorandum of Understanding between the
- 8:23US and Iran on 18th of June
- 8:26this year.
- 8:28These peace efforts were greatly
- 8:29supported by President Xi Jinping's
- 8:33visionary four-point peace proposal
- 8:36which advocated dialogue as the means to
- 8:39solve differences.
- 8:41Pakistan has the same policy.
- 8:44Last year, Pakistan has its turn as
- 8:47presidency of the UN Security Council in
- 8:50May last year and then July 2025.
- 8:53Particularly, May China had the
- 8:55presidency, in July Pakistan had the
- 8:58presidency. And the theme we selected
- 9:02for the ministerial debate
- 9:04in
- 9:05New York
- 9:06in the UN Security Council meeting and
- 9:09during Pakistan presidency was
- 9:11multilateralism
- 9:14disputes solution through
- 9:17the
- 9:18dialogue and diplomacy.
- 9:21So, Pakistan and China
- 9:24work together
- 9:26for the peace and security of the globe
- 9:28and obviously which includes the region.
- 9:31Pakistan-China also joined
- 9:35hands on 31st of March
- 9:38when I visited at the invitation of
- 9:41Foreign Minister Wang Yi
- 9:42and we both discussed
- 9:45the China-Pakistan five-point peace
- 9:48initiative
- 9:49for Middle East.
- 9:51We urged
- 9:53de-escalation
- 9:55succession of hostilities
- 9:57peace talks
- 9:59security of shipping lanes
- 10:01and adherence to the UN Charter as the
- 10:04pathway to lasting peace in the Middle
- 10:06East.
- 10:08We had massive support
- 10:10to China-Pakistan five-point peace
- 10:13initiative which we announced during my
- 10:15visit 31st of March. We had dozens of
- 10:18countries across the globe
- 10:21Americas, Europe
- 10:23Central Asia South Asia, Middle East,
- 10:27virtually everybody supported those five
- 10:30points.
- 10:31Since the start of the crisis, close
- 10:33coordination between China and Pakistan
- 10:36has shown that our friendship is a
- 10:39prized asset for global peace, stability
- 10:42and harmony.
- 10:44We will continue to work closely with
- 10:46China
- 10:47in the interest of not only our two
- 10:49countries but also
- 10:51for the international community.
- 10:53Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, in
- 10:56conclusion, I wish to once again pay my
- 10:59tribute to the great founding spirit and
- 11:03century-long legacy of the Communist
- 11:06Party of China.
- 11:08Let me also reaffirm
- 11:10Pakistan's ironclad friendship with the
- 11:12leadership
- 11:14government and the peoples of China.
- 11:16Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen
- 11:18I pray that this timeless bond of
- 11:21friendship may continue to thrive
- 11:25bringing more prosperity and happiness
- 11:28to our two countries and beyond. I thank
- 11:30you all. Pakistan, China friendship
- 11:33Zindabad.
- 11:34Thank you.
