  11. 0:19this is what I recommend doing watch
  12. 0:20along but as you watch also do the
  13. 0:22things that I'm doing enter in these
  14. 0:24prompts with me actually use the
  15. 0:26platform and that is going to be the
  16. 0:27best way to learn at the end of this
  17. 0:29video I'll also go over some of the more
  18. 0:30advanced ways you can use deep seek such
  19. 0:32as installing it on your computer
  20. 0:33locally using the Deep seek model on
  21. 0:36other platforms or even the API
  22. 0:37functionality but most of you watching
  23. 0:39this video don't need to know that stuff
  24. 0:40anyways let's get started so if you go
  25. 0:42to deep seek.com it's going to look
  26. 0:43something like this and what you'll do
  27. 0:45is just click on start now you can of
  28. 0:47course learn more about deep seek and
  29. 0:48the current models and yeah depending on
  30. 0:50when you're watching this video they
  31. 0:51might be a little bit different but yeah
  32. 0:53for now I'm going to go to start now so
  33. 0:54now it's going to have you log in and if
  34. 0:55you don't have an account there are two
  35. 0:57options you can log in using your Google
  36. 0:59account although I do not recommend
  37. 1:00doing that or you can go to the
  38. 1:01traditional phone number/email route
  39. 1:04with a password that's what I recommend
  40. 1:06and if you want to create an account
  41. 1:07just click on sign up right here you're
  42. 1:09going to enter in your email your
  43. 1:10password confirm your password it's
  44. 1:12going to send you a code to your email
  45. 1:14address you'll enter in that code here
  46. 1:16click on this to confirm and then click
  47. 1:18on sign up this is basically all you
  48. 1:19need to do to be able to use deep seek
  49. 1:21so now I'm in the dashboard of deep seek
  50. 1:23this is what you'll see when you create
  51. 1:25your account over here I'll have my chat
  52. 1:26history so it's very similar to chat GPT
  53. 1:29I can create a you chat whenever I want
  54. 1:31this helps you separate different
  55. 1:32conversations which is really useful and
  56. 1:34this is the main search area of deep
  57. 1:36seek right here and yeah this is where
  58. 1:37you input your messages now really
  59. 1:39quickly let's go over some of the pros
  60. 1:40and cons when it comes to deep seek
  61. 1:42versus chat GPT the first thing is that
  62. 1:45deep seek is way more affordable in fact
  63. 1:47it's completely free to use right now
  64. 1:49and the current performance of The Deep
  65. 1:50think R1 model is very similar to the
  66. 1:53o01 model for chat gbt which as of right
  67. 1:55now is about $200 per month to use now
  68. 1:58of course this may be free in the the
  69. 2:00future as of right now deep seek is free
  70. 2:02the API costs are also a lot lower and
  71. 2:04you get that really crazy performance
  72. 2:06that usually costs money with chat GPT
  73. 2:08it's also open source so you can
  74. 2:09actually download this model to your
  75. 2:12computer and run it without using the
  76. 2:14web there's also a lot of transparency
  77. 2:16because when you search something which
  78. 2:18I'll show you later on it actually shows
  79. 2:20you its thought process so you can see
  80. 2:22exactly what it is trying to brainstorm
  81. 2:25or Reason and also deep seek there's no
  82. 2:26need for prompt engineering you
  83. 2:28basically don't need to give it as much
  84. 2:30context as chat GPT so that can actually
  85. 2:32make it quite a bit easier to use now
  86. 2:34the cons are they use your info to train
  87. 2:36it and there's no way of getting out of
  88. 2:38this also the servers are in China and
  89. 2:40there is some stuff that it will not
  90. 2:42answer for you so just some small things
  91. 2:43to be aware of now back to our main
  92. 2:45dashboard I'm going to show you guys 15
  93. 2:47different use cases for deep seek it is
  94. 2:50quite similar to chat gbt and I do have
  95. 2:52a very popular tutorial on chat GPT so
  96. 2:55if you do want to check that out I will
  97. 2:56have a link to it down below but again
  98. 2:58deep seek has more reasoning
  99. 3:00capabilities as of right now and so
  100. 3:01there definitely are some big advantages
  101. 3:03now you'll note that there are two
  102. 3:04buttons here so there's this deep think
  103. 3:06R1 button and there is the search button
  104. 3:09so if we want to use the actual R1
  105. 3:11reasoning model we will have to click on
  106. 3:13this it's going to activate it and when
  107. 3:15we submit a message it's going to know
  108. 3:17to use this reasoning model we can also
  109. 3:19toggle on and off the search
  110. 3:21functionality so it can search the web
  111. 3:24when necessary that's very useful for
  112. 3:25things that require the web both can be
  113. 3:28on both can be off you can have one on
  114. 3:30or one off but for now I'm just going to
  115. 3:32leave deep think on so the first use
  116. 3:34case you can use deep seek for is
  117. 3:35writing emails this is something that
  118. 3:37applies to almost everyone right we all
  119. 3:39write emails every single day and DC can
  120. 3:41make this process a whole lot more
  121. 3:43efficient so for example I can write
  122. 3:45something like write a professional
  123. 3:47email to a client explaining a delay in
  124. 3:50Project delivery we can of course give
  125. 3:51it way more context in this prompt but
  126. 3:54just to show you guys I want to actually
  127. 3:55just do a general one like this I'll
  128. 3:57click this button right here it's going
  129. 3:59to start thinking so it's going to show
  130. 4:00its thought process and when you do use
  131. 4:02the R1 model it's going to take a lot
  132. 4:04longer than you're probably used to if
  133. 4:06you've used chat GPT there's a whole
  134. 4:08process to this reasoning model and as
  135. 4:09you can see it gets pretty complicated
  136. 4:12and after that is done it's going to
  137. 4:14Output this sample email we can copy and
  138. 4:17paste this to Gmail or whatever email
  139. 4:20provider you use replace this right we
  140. 4:22can even include that in the prompt
  141. 4:24itself so that it will automatically put
  142. 4:26that in there and it's going to write
  143. 4:27you a pretty solid email of course I do
  144. 4:30recommend you know putting your final
  145. 4:31touches on it making it a little bit
  146. 4:33more personable if needed yeah a very
  147. 4:35useful use case and prompt that almost
  148. 4:38everyone can use right now you can even
  149. 4:40use a platform like make AI to integrate
  150. 4:43with deep seek that's a bit more
  151. 4:45complicated but basically you can have
  152. 4:47this done for you automatically when you
  153. 4:49receive an email it can create a draft
  154. 4:50it can send the message by itself there
  155. 4:52are a lot of things you can customize
  156. 4:54with a platform like make but for most
  157. 4:56people this is going to be enough we can
  158. 4:58of course give it feedback by just
  159. 5:00messaging and telling it to rewrite this
  160. 5:02email with blank or blank and it's going
  161. 5:04to spit something out that's new so the
  162. 5:06next use case we'll talk about is
  163. 5:07actually using deep seek to help with
  164. 5:09your content creation process now
  165. 5:11content creation is obviously a pretty
  166. 5:13Broad and general term it could be
  167. 5:15making blog posts it could be social
  168. 5:17media posts long form YouTube short form
  169. 5:19YouTube it can be writing Tik Tok
  170. 5:21scripts it could be doing ads whatever
  171. 5:23it is deep seek is just like chat gbt
  172. 5:25and that it can actually generate you
  173. 5:27know let's say blog post for us just
  174. 5:29using a prompt and it's quite good at it
  175. 5:31because it does have this reasoning
  176. 5:33model if you're using deep seek you can
  177. 5:34always create a new chat so that you can
  178. 5:37have different separate chats going on
  179. 5:39I'm just going to do it all in one just
  180. 5:40to make it a little bit easier but you
  181. 5:42can write something like write a 300w
  182. 5:44blog post about the benefits of remote
  183. 5:46work we can of course give it more
  184. 5:48direction if we want but I'm just going
  185. 5:50to show you guys real quick as it's
  186. 5:51outputting this response I do want to
  187. 5:53say that the more information the more
  188. 5:55context you give the prompt the better
  189. 5:58the output is going to be and the less
  190. 6:00editing you probably have to do all
  191. 6:01right so it's done creating this article
  192. 6:03for us of course I don't recommend just
  193. 6:05copying and pasting this into your
  194. 6:07website that's not the best way to do it
  195. 6:09you definitely do want to edit AI
  196. 6:10generated articles but this is a great
  197. 6:12Foundation it actually saves us a ton of
  198. 6:14time in the research phase as well as
  199. 6:16the writing phase you can see it gives
  200. 6:17us a little brief on what it wrote us so
  201. 6:20workout is 300 it gives us the tone and
  202. 6:22it gives us some SEO keywords as well so
  203. 6:24if I were to use this on a website I
  204. 6:25would just literally create a website
  205. 6:27using AI with something like hostinger
  206. 6:29it's like $3 or $4 per month you can
  207. 6:31build a complete website in under 10
  208. 6:33minutes and you can directly use
  209. 6:35something like deep seek to help you
  210. 6:37write and that should save you a ton of
  211. 6:39time building your whole website yeah AI
  212. 6:41is just crazy extends Way Beyond just
  213. 6:43deep seek and chat gbt there's so many
  214. 6:45tools that use AI to make other tasks
  215. 6:48easier such as in this example building
  216. 6:50a website so yeah highly highly
  217. 6:51recommend using AI to just save a lot of
  218. 6:54time you can do the same thing of course
  219. 6:56with content creation beyond just making
  220. 6:57a blog post you can also create short
  221. 6:59form scripts for example we can do
  222. 7:01something like create a 15-second script
  223. 7:03for an Instagram reel that talks about
  224. 7:05the benefits of remote work have engage
  225. 7:07in Hook and a clear call Action to book
  226. 7:09a call so let's see what it does here if
  227. 7:11you don't need that deep thinking model
  228. 7:13you can of course turn this off it's
  229. 7:15going to spit out an answer a lot faster
  230. 7:17not every single thing you search needs
  231. 7:19this model so yeah just keep that in
  232. 7:21mind you can see the thinking for this
  233. 7:23particular prompt is taking a long time
  234. 7:26I also really like just looking through
  235. 7:28the reasoning because it's very very
  236. 7:29interesting to see how the AI thinks it
  237. 7:31actually helps me be a better thinker
  238. 7:34myself cool so it's done it's given us a
  239. 7:36pretty solid Instagram real script and
  240. 7:38yeah that's just a very useful use case
  241. 7:40that you can use deep seek for the next
  242. 7:42use case I want to talk about is
  243. 7:44learning new topics using deep seek I
  244. 7:46personally think that learning is one of
  245. 7:47the most important things that everyone
  246. 7:49should be doing every single day so you
  247. 7:51can basically use deep seek like a tutor
  248. 7:54a mentor basically a really smart person
  249. 7:57that knows everything and so what I'm
  250. 7:58going to do right here here is click on
  251. 8:00this search button this allows it to
  252. 8:02actually search the internet which can
  253. 8:04be helpful we can search something like
  254. 8:06explain Quantum Computing in simple
  255. 8:08terms I don't even know what this is so
  256. 8:10let's go ahead and search that so here's
  257. 8:12the output after it's reasoning you can
  258. 8:14see it defines it it actually Compares
  259. 8:16it to something you might know talks
  260. 8:18about some other Concepts why it's a big
  261. 8:20deal and it also summarizes it for us in
  262. 8:22a pretty easy to understand way so yeah
  263. 8:25any type of concept you don't know you
  264. 8:27can absolutely just use deep seek learn
  265. 8:29about it and you won't have to go to
  266. 8:31Google you know search the thing and
  267. 8:33browse through a bunch of different
  268. 8:34websites looking for information this is
  269. 8:36going to compile all of it for you and
  270. 8:38basically turn it into a summary that
  271. 8:39will save you a lot of time I do this a
  272. 8:41lot with chat GPT I'm always constantly
  273. 8:44asking it questions if I want more
  274. 8:45reasoning behind the answer I like to
  275. 8:47use deep seek now since it does have a
  276. 8:49better thinking and reasoning model yeah
  277. 8:51very very helpful use case and I highly
  278. 8:54recommend using it to learn things okay
  279. 8:56so the next use case is actually using
  280. 8:58deep seek to help with coding D is
  281. 9:00extremely great at coding because it's
  282. 9:03very analytical it has a lot of
  283. 9:05reasoning so you can give it feedback it
  284. 9:07can adjust the code it basically is a
  285. 9:09very powerful computer programmer so for
  286. 9:11example we can say write a python
  287. 9:13function to calculate the fibon sequence
  288. 9:16if this is something that you actually
  289. 9:17want to code yourself you can input it
  290. 9:19into deep seek look at the thinking
  291. 9:21because it actually like is a tutor that
  292. 9:23teaches you exactly what it's doing and
  293. 9:25that really helps you learn the whole
  294. 9:27process a lot better you can see again
  295. 9:29and again can it is giving an answer
  296. 9:31it's checking itself so it's verifying
  297. 9:33and trying to come up with a better
  298. 9:34solution and just keeps doing that until
  299. 9:36it comes up with something that it's
  300. 9:38happy with cool so now it's generated a
  301. 9:39python function to generate what we
  302. 9:42asked it to we can basically click on
  303. 9:44copy right here it's going to copy the
  304. 9:46code it's going to show you how it works
  305. 9:48of course it can generate HTML
  306. 9:50JavaScript any other language you can
  307. 9:51actually code games using deep seek very
  308. 9:54very powerful and really good reasoning
  309. 9:56and thinking so if this is something
  310. 9:58that you do on on a daily basis then
  311. 10:00yeah deep seek can be a great tool that
  312. 10:01saves you a ton of time okay so the next
  313. 10:03use case is actually using deep seek to
  314. 10:06help you write your resume or cover
  315. 10:08letter I think this is something that a
  316. 10:09lot of people could use if you're in the
  317. 10:11job market or trying to potentially find
  318. 10:13a new job this can actually help you a
  319. 10:14lot so what you can write is something
  320. 10:16like write a cover letter for a software
  321. 10:18engineer position at a text startup
  322. 10:21great so now it's generated a cover
  323. 10:22letter for us of course you'll want to
  324. 10:24replace things in the brackets it
  325. 10:26creates a really solid outline of things
  326. 10:28that we should men mention in the cover
  327. 10:30letter and so yeah even if you don't
  328. 10:31want to use this verbatim you can read
  329. 10:33it get an idea of what a good cover
  330. 10:34letter looks like and then just use that
  331. 10:36info to write your own you can replicate
  332. 10:39this of course with doing a resume it
  333. 10:41can generate a resume for you you can
  334. 10:43input your own resume or your own cover
  335. 10:45letter into the system to do that all
  336. 10:47you need to do is click on this and you
  337. 10:49do have to undo this so you can just
  338. 10:51click on this upload your cover letter
  339. 10:53or your resume ask it for feedback and
  340. 10:55it's going to give you really solid
  341. 10:57feedback okay so the next use case that
  342. 10:59we can use deep seek for is generating
  343. 11:01quotes now I don't know about you guys
  344. 11:03but I'm always looking for great quotes
  345. 11:05in my content and just know in life so a
  346. 11:07creative way to use deep seek is ask it
  347. 11:10something like this I'm going to toggle
  348. 11:12on search so that I can search the web
  349. 11:14and I'm just going to say something like
  350. 11:15I want to be inspired to start my own
  351. 11:17business can you give three quotes from
  352. 11:19entrepreneurs that can motivate me all
  353. 11:20right so it's done generating the
  354. 11:22response you can see it gave us three
  355. 11:24powerful quotes from entrepreneurs to
  356. 11:26ignite your entrepreneurial spirit and
  357. 11:28for each quote it gives us the actual
  358. 11:30quote who said it and it also gives us
  359. 11:33some analysis and context now the really
  360. 11:35cool thing about the web search is that
  361. 11:37actually gives you references so as you
  362. 11:38can see if you click on this button
  363. 11:40right here it's going to show you where
  364. 11:42it actually found this from so we can
  365. 11:44click on this it's going to go directly
  366. 11:46to that Source or article we have this
  367. 11:48quote by Thomas Edison I have not failed
  368. 11:50I've just found a thousand ways that
  369. 11:51won't work very true this definitely
  370. 11:53helps with viewing failure as okay it's
  371. 11:55definitely very important gives us the
  372. 11:57sources and same one this quote by Tony
  373. 12:00of
  374. 12:20zaposlite to take under 2 hours and not
  375. 12:23be too complex my parents have steak
  376. 12:25mushrooms and Savory Foods so yeah I
  377. 12:27gave it some context we will leave the
  378. 12:29search function on so that it can
  379. 12:31actually browse through different recipe
  380. 12:33sites and actually I'm going to add in
  381. 12:35dessert I want something with
  382. 12:40Chocolat okay so the server is busy
  383. 12:42right now I'm just going to try again
  384. 12:44since everyone is trying to learn deep
  385. 12:45seek and use it right now it can get
  386. 12:47overwhelming for the servers so yeah
  387. 12:49that does happen sometimes so in this
  388. 12:51case I turn off deep think R1 mode and
  389. 12:54this actually allowed us to get an
  390. 12:56answer extremely fast you can see it
  391. 12:58skip the whole reasoning part so this
  392. 13:01answer might not be as good but I just
  393. 13:03want to show you guys that yeah if the
  394. 13:04servers are down sometimes you can just
  395. 13:06turn that off it should still be able to
  396. 13:08Output an answer yeah it's created a
  397. 13:10pretty solid three course dinner menu it
  398. 13:13actually gave us instructions too and it
  399. 13:15gave us a decadent chocolate mousse for
  400. 13:18dessert which seems like it would taste
  401. 13:20really good it's also funny cuz it gave
  402. 13:21us a timeline on when to actually do
  403. 13:24these steps yeah I think that's pretty
  404. 13:25solid yeah any type of brainstorming you
  405. 13:27need just ask the deep seek it's going
  406. 13:29to be able to do it for you the next use
  407. 13:31case we'll talk about for deep seek is
  408. 13:33language translation Now language
  409. 13:35translation of course you can do this
  410. 13:37with Google translate or other tools
  411. 13:39like that but AI seems to be extremely
  412. 13:41extremely good especially when you pair
  413. 13:43it with this reasoning model you
  414. 13:45typically get better translations that
  415. 13:48locals would actually say rather than
  416. 13:50just word for word direct translations
  417. 13:52so we can say something like translate
  418. 13:54hello how are you into French Spanish
  419. 13:57and Mander all right so servers is busy
  420. 13:59again for the rest of this video I'm
  421. 14:00just going to turn off the deep think R1
  422. 14:02mode and you might be thinking why
  423. 14:04should I use deep seek instead of chat
  424. 14:05GPT well when the server is up and it's
  425. 14:08running having access to that reasoning
  426. 14:10model can actually give you better
  427. 14:11answers than chat GPT the free version
  428. 14:14okay in this case it's giving us three
  429. 14:16translations these all seem to be
  430. 14:18correct it even gives you the
  431. 14:20pronunciation which is pretty cool and
  432. 14:22so yeah as you can see you don't need to
  433. 14:24always have the reasoning mode on
  434. 14:26sometimes it just makes it slow for no
  435. 14:29needed purpose but for more analytical
  436. 14:31and like critical thinking tasks then
  437. 14:33that's when that model really really
  438. 14:35helps Beyond just translating languages
  439. 14:37you can also use deep seek to learn
  440. 14:39languages use it as like a language
  441. 14:41tutor you can have whole conversations
  442. 14:43with it ask it to explain different
  443. 14:45things how locals would say this or that
  444. 14:48when is this used more commonly view it
  445. 14:50as a person that's extremely smart so
  446. 14:53the next use case we'll talk about is
  447. 14:54actually using deep seek to summarize
  448. 14:56long texts and websites so of course
  449. 14:59with this search functionality we can
  450. 15:00have it actually go to a website crawl
  451. 15:03it and actually get the information and
  452. 15:05come back for example I can enter in a
  453. 15:07URL and say something like this can you
  454. 15:09help me summarize this page in 100 words
  455. 15:12or less so it's actually going to be
  456. 15:13able to go to that website look at
  457. 15:16everything on that page and then give us
  458. 15:18this concise summary this works
  459. 15:20extremely well for very long articles
  460. 15:22that you don't want to read it works
  461. 15:24well for complex text that is hard to
  462. 15:27understand it can sort of summarize it
  463. 15:28and make it easier to understand for you
  464. 15:30and if we turn off the search function
  465. 15:31we can also of course input documents so
  466. 15:34PDFs docs whatever it is we can have it
  467. 15:37look at a bunch of information and
  468. 15:39summarize it or even ask it questions
  469. 15:42about it so for example one thing I can
  470. 15:43do just to give you guys an example is
  471. 15:45input a spreadsheet and ask it for a
  472. 15:48certain number if you put in the profit
  473. 15:50and loss statement for your business you
  474. 15:52could ask it okay how much money did I
  475. 15:54make between June and August of let's
  476. 15:57say 2024 it can really analyze that
  477. 16:00document for you it can analyze the
  478. 16:01website it can analyze any text and be
  479. 16:04able to answer questions that you ask it
  480. 16:06okay another use case is actually using
  481. 16:08it to create study guides now if you're
  482. 16:10in school or you're taking a class or
  483. 16:12whatever and you need to learn something
  484. 16:13this is very functional it can help you
  485. 16:15get a better score on your exams so I
  486. 16:17can write something like create a 500w
  487. 16:19study guide on the most common phrases
  488. 16:21in Spanish of course you can create a
  489. 16:23way longer one if you want but just for
  490. 16:25this video I want to show something
  491. 16:26that's a little faster we'll turn the
  492. 16:28search function on go ahead and click
  493. 16:30enter okay so as you can see it's given
  494. 16:32us the most common phrases in Spanish
  495. 16:34broken down by different categories so
  496. 16:35we have greetings and basic courtesies
  497. 16:37we have introducing yourself asking for
  498. 16:39help or directions dining and shopping
  499. 16:41expressing feelings and opinions common
  500. 16:43questions as well as farewells and it
  501. 16:45also gives us some tips for practice
  502. 16:47what you can also do to create a study
  503. 16:49guide is input let's say you have a
  504. 16:51spreadsheet of vocabulary that you have
  505. 16:53learned with your teacher or whatever
  506. 16:55input that spreadsheet and then ask it
  507. 16:57to use that spreadsheet and create a
  508. 16:59study guide create flash cards you can
  509. 17:01even ask it to test yourself really the
  510. 17:04possibilities are endless when it comes
  511. 17:06to studying with deep seek another way
  512. 17:08you can use deep seek is by using it to
  513. 17:10generate business ideas so we can say
  514. 17:13something like give me five business
  515. 17:14ideas I can start that cost under $100
  516. 17:16where I can work from my laptop some
  517. 17:18context I am a great writer all right so
  518. 17:20it's going to search through its
  519. 17:22database as well as the web and it's
  520. 17:24given us five different businesses that
  521. 17:26relate to writing these all make a lot
  522. 17:28of sense and yeah if you want to start a
  523. 17:29business but you don't really know what
  524. 17:31to do you can give it a bunch of context
  525. 17:33and have it brainstorm these ideas for
  526. 17:35you the next use case is actually using
  527. 17:37deep seek as either a therapist or a
  528. 17:40life coach now of course it's not going
  529. 17:41to fully replace the one-on-one
  530. 17:43interaction between you and a human
  531. 17:46therapist or life coach but it's
  532. 17:47actually quite effective I've tried it a
  533. 17:50bunch AI can give you emotional support
  534. 17:52it can give you advice it can give you
  535. 17:54tips on let's say mindfulness Stress
  536. 17:56Management whatever it is that you need
  537. 17:58help with we can write something like
  538. 17:59I'm feeling lost in life and want to
  539. 18:00quit my 9 to5 can you give me some
  540. 18:02advice on how I can manage my stress and
  541. 18:04the first steps I can take cool so it
  542. 18:06gave us a pretty solid answer what you
  543. 18:08can do is continue the conversation by
  544. 18:10asking a follow-up question you can tell
  545. 18:12it to clarify certain things you can
  546. 18:14give the AI more context and just
  547. 18:15continue the conversation like that yeah
  548. 18:17I think this is a use case that not a
  549. 18:19lot of people think is actually possible
  550. 18:21but I'll tell you this it is actually
  551. 18:23very effective and yeah therapy is
  552. 18:24expensive life coaches are expensive if
  553. 18:27you don't have the resources to actually
  554. 18:29you know get that type of help you can
  555. 18:31absolutely use something like this as a
  556. 18:32first step the next use case for deep
  557. 18:34seek is that you can use it to role play
  558. 18:36and what I mean by this is let's say for
  559. 18:38example you want to learn a language
  560. 18:40this is something we sort of talked
  561. 18:41about already you can have it be a
  562. 18:43native let's say French speaker give it
  563. 18:45the context of you being a student at
  564. 18:48this level and have it test you so you
  565. 18:50can roleplay have a whole conversation
  566. 18:52with it and basically treat it as like a
  567. 18:54tutor another way to use the role
  568. 18:55playing feature is let's say you want to
  569. 18:58practice doing an interview we can write
  570. 19:00something like let's role playay a job
  571. 19:01interview for a data analyst position
  572. 19:04you act as the interviewer and ask me
  573. 19:06three questions now I can use deep seek
  574. 19:08to train myself to perform better or
  575. 19:10have a better interview when the actual
  576. 19:12time comes okay so it's saying can you
  577. 19:14walk me through a recent project where
  578. 19:15you use data analysis to solve a problem
  579. 19:18what tools and techniques did you use
  580. 19:19and what was the outcome of course I
  581. 19:21don't know anything about this so I'm
  582. 19:22just going to say something like I have
  583. 19:24never had a project like this and I
  584. 19:27don't know what what I would do
  585. 19:30obviously a terrible answer so let's see
  586. 19:32what it has to say okay it seems like
  587. 19:33it's a very nice interviewer but
  588. 19:35actually gives us some feedback on what
  589. 19:37we should have answered so that's pretty
  590. 19:38cool the next use case is using deep
  591. 19:40seek for creative writing and we sort of
  592. 19:42mentioned this already with the blog
  593. 19:44posts and social media but deep seek is
  594. 19:46also extremely good at writing stories
  595. 19:48poems letters and so let's do something
  596. 19:50like this write a short story about a
  597. 19:52robot discovering human emotions let's
  598. 19:54make it under 200 words okay okay so
  599. 19:58it's written this story about unit 7
  600. 20:01which is a maintenance robot we could do
  601. 20:02the same thing with a poem so you can
  602. 20:04have it write a haiku about a certain
  603. 20:06topic so yeah when it comes to text and
  604. 20:08text based outputs AI is extremely
  605. 20:11strong at this and you can think
  606. 20:12anything with text I can use AI to
  607. 20:14generate it it will save me a lot of
  608. 20:15time give me a foundation and I can of
  609. 20:17course put my own spin on the content a
  610. 20:19lot of people think that robots in AI do
  611. 20:21not have the capacity to be creative but
  612. 20:24actually the opposite is true I've seen
  613. 20:26AI like deep seek and chat GPT generic
  614. 20:28some really interesting stuff stuff that
  615. 20:30I would never have thought about so the
  616. 20:32last use case I want to talk about in
  617. 20:33this video is probably the one that's
  618. 20:35most suitable for deep seek and of
  619. 20:38course because it has that deep think
  620. 20:39reasoning model is very very good at any
  621. 20:42task that requires analytical thinking
  622. 20:44deep thinking critical thinking whatever
  623. 20:45it is an example I want to show you is
  624. 20:47let's say we can have solve a math
  625. 20:49problem so I have a circle with a
  626. 20:50diameter of 7 cm what is the area of the
  627. 20:53circle if I were to double the circle's
  628. 20:55diameter what would the new area be so
  629. 20:57let's turn on deep think for this
  630. 20:59hopefully it works hopefully the servers
  631. 21:01are not down right now okay
  632. 21:02unfortunately the servers are still busy
  633. 21:03so I'm going to turn off deep think but
  634. 21:05I'm still going to show you what it
  635. 21:07outputs for this answer as you can see
  636. 21:09it still gave us the whole process of
  637. 21:11how it came to this answer so if we had
  638. 21:14deep think on it'd be a little bit
  639. 21:15different and that the answer would be a
  640. 21:17little bit more concise but we would be
  641. 21:19able to look through the reasoning and
  642. 21:20see what it is doing the things it's
  643. 21:22doing to re-evaluate but even with it
  644. 21:24off it can still do this this is a very
  645. 21:27simple question but if it was something
  646. 21:28a lot more complex then that's where the
  647. 21:30R1 model would really shine yeah
  648. 21:32essentially anything that requires a lot
  649. 21:34of analysis or critical thinking
  650. 21:36anything with data or numbers then deep
  651. 21:39seek is going to be extremely good at
  652. 21:40solving it so at the start of this video
  653. 21:42I mentioned that deep seek is open
  654. 21:44source right so it's something that you
  655. 21:45can actually download to your computer
  656. 21:47and use offline something like chat gbt
  657. 21:49it's always going to require an internet
  658. 21:51connection you're always going to be
  659. 21:52using the cloud but with deep seek we
  660. 21:54can actually download the whole
  661. 21:56reasoning model to our computer and use
  662. 21:58it locally now for most of you watching
  663. 22:00this video just using it online is
  664. 22:02probably going to be okay as you can see
  665. 22:04sometimes these servers are down so you
  666. 22:06cannot use the full capabilities in that
  667. 22:09case it would have been very useful to
  668. 22:10actually download the whole model to my
  669. 22:13computer and yeah I'm just going to show
  670. 22:14you guys how to do that right now so
  671. 22:16probably the easiest way to do it is
  672. 22:17just by downloading AMA so just go to
  673. 22:19ama.com I'll have you link down below
  674. 22:22I'm not going to go into this too much
  675. 22:23detail but the model that you're going
  676. 22:25to want to use is deep seek R1 as of
  677. 22:27right now if you click on on this we can
  678. 22:29see that there are multiple versions We
  679. 22:31can actually download depending on how
  680. 22:33much space and memory you have some of
  681. 22:35these probably won't be possible so for
  682. 22:37example if you want to download the
  683. 22:39entire reasoning model with all the data
  684. 22:41that's going to be this one so 671
  685. 22:45billion parameters I think for most
  686. 22:47people the 1.5 7 or 8 billion parameters
  687. 22:50one is going to be okay you don't need
  688. 22:52the entire model to get really good
  689. 22:55reasoning and answers but of course for
  690. 22:57the best one you will want to have this
  691. 23:00one but that takes it 404 GB as of right
  692. 23:02now let's say I want to go with the 7B
  693. 23:04one I can click on this just copy and
  694. 23:06paste this into terminal and that's
  695. 23:07basically how you run it now of course
  696. 23:09the UI for something like this is really
  697. 23:11bad that's why I prefer just to use deep
  698. 23:13seek.com you can also use anything llm
  699. 23:16or LM Studio these are two different
  700. 23:18ways to run it locally on your computer
  701. 23:21but with a better user interface that's
  702. 23:23probably what I would recommend most
  703. 23:24people watching this video if you do
  704. 23:26need to run this on your computer only
  705. 23:29without internet and then the other way
  706. 23:30to do it is actually just using
  707. 23:31something like perplexity it has this
  708. 23:33reasoning model built in as of right now
  709. 23:35you only get limited number of R1
  710. 23:38searches per day on the free perplexity
  711. 23:40plan but that does go away if you get
  712. 23:42the paid perplexity plan I will say
  713. 23:44perplexity plus the Deep seek reasoning
  714. 23:46model is like AI on steroids it's going
  715. 23:49to research the stuff using perplexities
  716. 23:52model and then reason with that info so
  717. 23:55to use this all you have to do is come
  718. 23:56here click on this reasoning r R1 model
  719. 23:59and all you have to do is type in your
  720. 24:00prompt or question and then click submit
  721. 24:02so I didn't go over this in too much
  722. 24:03detail since I think for most people
  723. 24:05watching this video the website is going
  724. 24:07to be perfect as long as they can get
  725. 24:09their servers to be up more then that's
  726. 24:11going to make it a lot better of course
  727. 24:12you can always go to chat GPT as a great
  728. 24:15alternative yeah overall AI is very
  729. 24:17powerful it's always advancing there's
  730. 24:19so much you can use AI like deep seek
  731. 24:21for on a day-to-day basis I covered 15
  732. 24:24different use cases but there are a lot
  733. 24:25of other use cases you can use it for
  734. 24:28but the thing I tell everyone is just
  735. 24:29sort of think of it as the smartest
  736. 24:32person in the world that knows
  737. 24:34everything someone that's willing to
  738. 24:35talk to you 24 hours a day giving you
  739. 24:38instantaneous answers being able to
  740. 24:40browse the web for you having incredible
  741. 24:42reasoning skills and if you had that
  742. 24:44type of person in front of you what
  743. 24:46would you have them do right cuz let's
  744. 24:48say it's free they don't charge you
  745. 24:49anything that's basically what deep seek
  746. 24:51is how would you ulies this person's
  747. 24:53knowledge skill reasoning and the answer
  748. 24:55is you can pretty much use it for
  749. 24:56anything hopefully that comes across in
  750. 24:58this video that there are unlimited use
