- 0:40WAY, WE GOT ONE day left in Song of
- 0:43Songs. Don't skip out on today. All
- 0:46right, we got Songs, Song of Songs,
- 0:48chapter 7 and 8. If you have not done
- 0:51the reading, you can go do the reading
- 0:53now. Stop the video, pause the audio, go
- 0:56get the reading done, and then come
- 0:58back. Like every day, we're going to
- 1:00dive into context clues. Uh we're gonna
- 1:03dive into some nerdy nuggets. I'm going
- 1:04to try to give you as many as I can, and
- 1:06then we're going to leave off the
- 1:07episode with a timeless truth, and then
- 1:09tomorrow we are in the book of Ruth. All
- 1:13right, we can wave bye-bye to Song of
- 1:16Songs. All right, let's get into the
- 1:18context clues for today. I'm going to
- 1:21give you a big 30,000 foot kind of idea
- 1:24for uh Song of Songs. Remember I said
- 1:26that of the four interpretive approaches
- 1:29that we could pick for this book that
- 1:32allegorical actually had some semblance
- 1:35of legitimacy. said and then I said like
- 1:38cultic absolutely none dramatic eh I
- 1:42could take it or leave it but it it may
- 1:44be helpful for some people to read the
- 1:45book that way but that lyrical was my
- 1:48favorite way to read the book and the
- 1:50most academic way to read the book and
- 1:53so let's talk about that you know ounce
- 1:55of legitimacy that we have in the uh
- 1:59allegorical way to read this book now
- 2:02there's five books of the Hebrew Bible
- 2:04or the Tanakh
- 2:06uh that create what's called the megalo
- 2:09okay or the five scrolls and that song
- 2:12of songs Ruth lamentations Esther and
- 2:15Ecclesiastes these five books of the
- 2:18Tanakh or the Hebrew Bible are going to
- 2:21get read at certain festivals all right
- 2:24so uh it's almost like uh liturgy in
- 2:28terms of there are certain things that
- 2:29you read at certain times of the year
- 2:32okay so I'm going to kind of tell you
- 2:34all of them and I I'll leave Song of
- 2:37Songs last. Okay. Uh Ecclesiastes was to
- 2:40be read at the feast of tabernacles. The
- 2:43book of Esther was to be read at Pim.
- 2:46The book of Lamentations was to be read
- 2:49on the 9th of A and that is festival or
- 2:54that really culminates in morning. So uh
- 2:57you could Google 9th of Av. I won't dive
- 3:00into it here because I don't have time.
- 3:02uh you it will make total sense why
- 3:04limitations gets read on the 9th of of
- 3:07AV of Ruth got read at Pentecost and
- 3:11then Song of Songs was read at Passover.
- 3:15Okay, so we need to kind of ask the
- 3:18question why why was Song of Songs read
- 3:22uh during Passover? And there's a really
- 3:24really good reason for that. Okay, the
- 3:26connection between Passover and the Song
- 3:28of Songs might not be obvious at first,
- 3:31but you begin to consider the ways these
- 3:34poems have been interpreted over the
- 3:36years, then it starts to make a lot of
- 3:38sense. A Jewish interpretation was that
- 3:41the poems reflect the relationship
- 3:42between Yahweh and Israel, his bride. a
- 3:46relationship uh that begins in Egypt
- 3:49where he rescues them from working
- 3:52through the or rescues them from slavery
- 3:55or rescues them from working. Same as
- 3:57this the the the female figure okay here
- 4:01in Song of Songs through the Passover
- 4:03and takes them to Sinai for a wedding
- 4:06covenant for the wedding. You can see
- 4:08straight away that even in Jewish times,
- 4:10not everyone was sure what to do with
- 4:13this book or how to interpret it. Okay?
- 4:16So there is some legitimacy to the fact
- 4:20that uh there is an allegorical nature.
- 4:24That doesn't mean that allegory should
- 4:26be the dominant way that we interpret
- 4:29the text. It just means hey there's an
- 4:32allegorical layer. But one layer by
- 4:35itself shouldn't define the whole cake,
- 4:37right? It's one layer. One layer. All
- 4:41right. Kind of wanted to start off the
- 4:42episode with that. Okay. Uh second thing
- 4:45is I really want to give a disclaimer.
- 4:48You may be thinking to yourself, man, I
- 4:50shouldn't let my high school student
- 4:51read Song of Songs or I shouldn't let my
- 4:53middle school student read Song of
- 4:55Songs. Or maybe you just feel uncomfort
- 4:58uncomfortable with, you know, maybe
- 5:00you're a parent, you feel uncomfortable
- 5:02with the topic of sex with your teenager
- 5:05or child. And I just want to say this to
- 5:07you, okay? I want to kind of push back a
- 5:10little. Okay? If you would, if you would
- 5:12allow me to kind of speak pastorally
- 5:14into your life, here's just an idea that
- 5:16I think maybe most parents haven't
- 5:19considered. Okay? And that's this. that
- 5:22the first person to introduce an idea to
- 5:26your children by default becomes the
- 5:28expert on that topic. Say that again.
- 5:31The first person to introduce an idea to
- 5:34your child or to anybody really by
- 5:37default becomes the expert on that
- 5:39topic. So the first person to ever talk
- 5:42to me about Bitcoin or cryptocurrency
- 5:46was a guy named Daniel Welder Gabriel.
- 5:47He's like the first person to really
- 5:49talk to me about it. There could be
- 5:51people who know more about it than him,
- 5:54but he introduced it to me and therefore
- 5:56every time I have a question about it, I
- 5:59talk to him. Okay? Uh and you can
- 6:02probably find that in your own life.
- 6:04Okay? Whatever the topic, whoever
- 6:06introduces that topic to you in your
- 6:09mind, that person becomes the de facto
- 6:13expert. Just by default, they become an
- 6:15expert. And so I always ask parents this
- 6:18question. Who do you want to be the
- 6:22expert when it comes to sex as it
- 6:25relates to your middle school student or
- 6:27high school student? Do you want
- 6:28pornography to be the de facto expert on
- 6:31all things sex? Do you want a boyfriend
- 6:35to become the de facto expert on all
- 6:37things sex? Do you want a girlfriend to
- 6:40become the de facto expert? Do you want
- 6:42the middle school uh health instructor
- 6:46to become the expert? Do you want the
- 6:48sexed teacher to become the expert? Do
- 6:50you want a vlogger? You want a trans
- 6:53vlogger to be the expert, the deacto
- 6:56expert? Like, who do you want to
- 6:58introduce this idea to your kid? And if
- 7:01if you'd like to be the expert, then
- 7:04that means that you are going to have to
- 7:07have an active relationship with this
- 7:09conversation, not a reactive or passive
- 7:12relationship with this topic as it
- 7:15relates to your daughter or your son.
- 7:19And the reality is that for many of us,
- 7:22here's what did not happen. And and this
- 7:24is the the conversation I plan on having
- 7:26with my son. I plan on sitting him down
- 7:29when he's probably seven, eight, nine
- 7:32and just saying, "Hey, like I want to
- 7:35tell you about the most beautiful thing
- 7:36God made. The most beautiful thing that
- 7:39God ever created." Okay? Cuz right now
- 7:41my son's four and he's just like, "God
- 7:43God made everything." You know, he's
- 7:45like, "Dad, did God make that table?"
- 7:47I'm like, "Well, God made humans and
- 7:48humans made the table." And anyway
- 7:50anyway, so I plan on telling him, "Hey,
- 7:52I want to tell you about the most
- 7:53beautiful thing that God made, okay?
- 7:55It's not the moon. It's not the stars.
- 7:56It's not the sun. It's not giraffes.
- 7:59It's not me. [snorts] It's not you. It's
- 8:00not humans. Okay? The most beautiful
- 8:02thing, the most beautiful thing that God
- 8:06made is the sexual relationship between
- 8:08a man and a woman. It's beautiful. It's
- 8:10the most mysterious. It's the most
- 8:13captivating. It's the most beautiful
- 8:16thing that God ever made. Okay? And um
- 8:19you know, it's so important. It's so
- 8:23precious. It's it's such a fascinating
- 8:27topic that the I that that that Satan
- 8:30likes to pervert it. And I want to talk
- 8:33to you about the most beautiful thing
- 8:35that God ever made. And it's called sex.
- 8:38And it's the sexual relationship between
- 8:40one man and one woman in the context of
- 8:43a marital relationship. And um son, it's
- 8:47like a fire. And a fire can do so many
- 8:49great things, right? A fire [snorts] can
- 8:52warm your hands. A fire can cook food.
- 8:54You know, without fire, where would we
- 8:56be? But a fire could also burn down your
- 8:58house. And God made this. God made this.
- 9:01And water's good. And and water can it,
- 9:05you know, you can get fish out of water.
- 9:07You can you water it sustains life, but
- 9:11it can also flood a village and kill
- 9:13everybody. Okay? So, you know, surfing,
- 9:17fantastic. Tsunami, not so good. Okay?
- 9:20And so sex is the most beautiful thing
- 9:22that God ever made. And uh I want us to
- 9:26have an open dialogue as it relates to
- 9:30attraction, arousal, sexuality, sexual
- 9:33expression. I want you to feel like you
- 9:35can always talk to me and and I'm and
- 9:37I'm going to talk to you about it. I'm
- 9:39not going to wait for you to talk to me
- 9:41about it. I'm going to I'm going to be
- 9:42talking to you about it. I'm going to be
- 9:43asking you questions and I want to know
- 9:45what you know. And uh I just want you to
- 9:48know like dad dad dad has every answer
- 9:52to every question you could ever
- 9:54imagine. And the the goal of that
- 9:56conversation is not to weird him out or
- 9:58to creep him out. The goal of that
- 9:59conversation is to establish myself as
- 10:02the expert when it comes to this topic
- 10:05so that when he's 12, 13, 14, 15,
- 10:09whatever age he is and he's got
- 10:12questions that he goes, I can ask my
- 10:14dad. I can ask my dad. Now, the voice of
- 10:17puberty and the voice of the enemy is
- 10:20going to be in his ear saying, "No, keep
- 10:21a secret. No, ask your friend. No, ask
- 10:24your uncle. No, ask this person. No, ask
- 10:26that person. No, Google it. Ask Chad
- 10:28GBT." Blah blah blah blah blah. But, and
- 10:30I can't control all that. But what I can
- 10:33control is the planting of the seed, the
- 10:35planting of the thought in his mind that
- 10:39man, I think my dad's the expert. Like,
- 10:41like I think he knows. And that's just
- 10:44that's my goal is to set myself up as
- 10:47the expert when it comes to sex and
- 10:50sexual expression and sexuality with my
- 10:52son. And hopefully at some point me and
- 10:56my wife have a daughter. And my goal is
- 10:59that my wife will become the expert with
- 11:01my daughter with our daughter. But
- 11:03that's my job as a dad is to create a
- 11:06judgment-free
- 11:08space where he can ask me anything about
- 11:11sex and about women and and about and
- 11:14about about girls and and about his
- 11:16attractions. And for me to be able to
- 11:20love him, parent him, pastor him, guide
- 11:23him, and train him up in the way that he
- 11:25should go so that when he gets old, he
- 11:27won't depart from it. Okay? And I think
- 11:30that there's too many parents abdicating
- 11:33that responsibility
- 11:35to a sex head teacher at school, to a
- 11:38boyfriend, to a girlfriend, to
- 11:39pornography. By the way, the average age
- 11:42of exposure to pornography in 2025 is 8
- 11:45years old. So the average 8-year-old has
- 11:48seen pornography. So, if the average
- 11:518-year-old has seen pornography, if you
- 11:54are naive enough to believe that your
- 11:56kid just doesn't know what sex is at
- 12:00all, I'm not saying you're wrong, but
- 12:02I'm saying that you're w you're making a
- 12:05wager, and I'd rather be safe than
- 12:07sorry. Okay. All right. That's context.
- 12:09That's a disclaimer. I've used up a lot
- 12:11of my time. All right. Poem number seven
- 12:14is Song of Songs chapter 6 verse4 to 8
- 12:17verse4. poem number eight. We are going
- 12:20to go to Song of Songs chapter 8 and we
- 12:24are going to go to vers six. Okay. First
- 12:28thing I actually want you to know in
- 12:29verse five is it says, "Under the apple
- 12:32tree I roused you." So, we're going to
- 12:35get tons of garden imagery in most of
- 12:38these poems. Okay? I know I kind of
- 12:40hinted at that maybe yesterday or the
- 12:42day before, but we're going to get tons
- 12:44and tons and tons of garden imagery. Why
- 12:46are they underneath a tree? They're
- 12:48underneath a tree because the couple
- 12:51that is personified here is a new Adam
- 12:54and a new Eve. They're naked and with no
- 12:57shame. And so next, okay, is the word
- 13:00seal. Place me like a seal over your
- 13:03heart, like a seal on your arm. This is
- 13:05verse six. For love is as strong as
- 13:08death is jealousy unyielding as the
- 13:10grave. Let's talk about what a seal
- 13:13would have done in context. Okay,
- 13:16obviously many of us are not sending
- 13:19letters and sealing it like with a
- 13:21signate ring like that's just not what
- 13:24you know many of us are doing. Okay, the
- 13:26seal would bear the name of the one who
- 13:28sealed the letter or the scroll. It
- 13:31signified their authority that the words
- 13:34were indeed theirs and theirs alone.
- 13:37What was inside was only available to
- 13:39the one who sealed it or who they sealed
- 13:42it for and the one to whom it was given.
- 13:47Okay? One giver, one recipient. The
- 13:50bride is saying then that her name is on
- 13:53his heart and arm. It belongs to her. No
- 13:57one else has the authority to open it
- 14:00and take what is inside. It is available
- 14:03to her alone. I want you to think
- 14:05forward to like the book of revelation
- 14:07when it's like who can open the scrolls?
- 14:09Who can unseal the seal? Well, only the
- 14:12lamb who's been slain before the
- 14:14foundations of the earth. Okay? Only he
- 14:17can open its seal. Okay? So in the same
- 14:20way marriage is a union whereby a seal
- 14:25can only be given from one to another
- 14:28and can only be opened from the one from
- 14:31which it was given to the one it is uh
- 14:34received by. Okay. Her love is as strong
- 14:37as death such as the passion and
- 14:39dedication she has from him. Here we are
- 14:43also going to see our next uh nerdy
- 14:45nugget. Okay. the word jealousy versus
- 14:48envy. Uh it says this, I'll start at the
- 14:52top of verse six. Place me like a seal
- 14:54over your heart, like a seal on your
- 14:56arm. For love is as strong as death.
- 14:58It's jealousy unyielding as the grave.
- 15:03It's it burns like blazing fire, like a
- 15:06mighty flame. Okay, so we are now going
- 15:09to dive into just that word jealousy.
- 15:11Often times today, jealousy is used
- 15:15really as a synonym to envy, which is a
- 15:19mistake because jealousy and envy are
- 15:21not the same thing. Okay? But jealousy
- 15:25and envy don't mean the same thing.
- 15:27Jealousy is the defense of the desire to
- 15:32keep for yourself what is already yours.
- 15:36Envy is to desire that which belongs to
- 15:40someone else. So, so, so what the the
- 15:45male voice is saying is that his heart
- 15:47belongs to her alone. And so, her
- 15:50jealousy for it was as strong and
- 15:54inevitable as she itself. The same way
- 15:57that people die is the same way that I
- 15:59am jealous. Okay? So, jealousy and envy
- 16:02not the same. Which explains why Yahweh
- 16:05can describe himself as jealous as
- 16:08opposed to why envy could be a one of
- 16:11the ten commandments, right? Don't covet
- 16:13that which belongs to your neighbor.
- 16:15Okay? So envy is desiring something that
- 16:18belongs to someone else and wishing that
- 16:20it was yours. Jealousy is not that those
- 16:25are not the same. Jealousy is wanting to
- 16:27defend that which actually belongs to
- 16:31you. It's actually yours. All right.
- 16:34Next is we're going to get into a
- 16:37metaphor where you kind of need to
- 16:39understand the difference between a door
- 16:41and a wall. Okay. So, chapter 8 verse 8,
- 16:45we have a little sister and her breasts
- 16:47are not yet grown. Okay. So, this is a
- 16:50prepubescent girl. What shall we do for
- 16:53our sister on the day she is spoken for?
- 16:56That means on the day that she's
- 16:58betrothed. Okay. So this is a girl who's
- 17:01not yet at the age to be betrothed. So
- 17:04betrodal age was right around 13. So who
- 17:07knows this girl may be 10. She may be
- 17:1011. Okay? She may be eight. Who knows?
- 17:12And it says this. If she is a wall, we
- 17:16will build towers of silver on her. And
- 17:19then the metaphor, the metaphor is about
- 17:21to make sense. If she is a door, we will
- 17:24enclose her with with panels of cedar. I
- 17:28am a wall and my breasts are like
- 17:31towers. Thus I have become in his eyes
- 17:33like one bringing contentment. Okay.
- 17:36Wall versus a door. What's a wall? A
- 17:40wall would be a woman who's like, you
- 17:44know, placed a wall there. You can't get
- 17:47in. A door is some is a woman who's wide
- 17:51open. Okay. It can open and close. So,
- 17:54what what they're saying is, hey, like
- 17:57our little sister hasn't been betrothed
- 18:00yet. Is she going to be a door or is she
- 18:02going to be a wall? Okay. Is she going
- 18:03to be someone who's absinate or is she
- 18:06going to be someone who allows men in
- 18:10and out? Okay. Is she a wall or is she a
- 18:12door? Which really gets me into my
- 18:15timeless truth for the day. And uh I'll
- 18:18kind of steal my own thunder. But I
- 18:21think that the goal of the scriptures
- 18:23and of Song of Songs is to have purity
- 18:27without purity culture. I think
- 18:30sometimes when I tell people that I'm
- 18:31anti-purity culture, they think that I'm
- 18:34anti-purity, that I'm anti abstinence,
- 18:38celibacy, that I'm against, you know,
- 18:41people having a vow to stay sexually
- 18:46pure until marriage. And that couldn't
- 18:48be further from the truth. I'm all for
- 18:50that. What I mean by purity culture is
- 18:54shaming people, guilting people into
- 18:56making that decision and then
- 18:58incentivizing that decision by making
- 19:00false promises. Like if you are pure,
- 19:05you will have earned a spouse in a great
- 19:07sex life. It's like, well, that's crazy.
- 19:10And saying things that are just not true
- 19:13about sex. saying, not admitting that
- 19:17sex is pleasurable and it's great and
- 19:19it's awesome. And so the Bible is all
- 19:21about purity. It's just not purity
- 19:24culture. And I think that we've got to
- 19:27separate the two and we've got to keep
- 19:30helping people to be pure because sex
- 19:32will damage their life if used in an
- 19:36unwise way. Okay? So, and you can hear
- 19:39it. This older sister is like, "Hey man,
- 19:42we got to help our little sister be a
- 19:44wall and not a door." And then goes on
- 19:46to say, "I'm a wall." Like, I have
- 19:49proven throughout all of these poems and
- 19:53all these songs that I wasn't sexually
- 19:55active with my lover until our wedding.
- 19:58So, next is I think we're going to get
- 20:01the biggest proof that Solomon is not
- 20:03the hero, okay, of the book as a whole,
- 20:06but rather a villain. It says this in
- 20:08verse 11, Solomon had a vineyard in Bal
- 20:11Hammon. He let out his vineyard. He let
- 20:15out, they rented out or leased out his
- 20:18vineyard to tenants. Each was to bring
- 20:22each was to bring forth its fruit a
- 20:25thousand shekels of silver, but my own
- 20:28vineyard is mine to give. Okay. So, it's
- 20:31saying that um the main character, okay,
- 20:35and and Solomon are gonna respond very
- 20:38very differently to this vineyard
- 20:40analogy. Okay, she had but one vineyard
- 20:43and she gave it to her beloved. Solomon
- 20:46can keep his thousand vineyards. He has
- 20:49access to many women. His lifestyle
- 20:52cheapens the poem's champions. Okay. The
- 20:56poem's champions is this worker girl,
- 20:59this country girl in her shepherd boy.
- 21:01Solomon, keep your thousand for one is
- 21:05far better. And then we get our final
- 21:08poem. Family, the wait is over. My brand
- 21:11new book, Crushing Chaos, [music] is out
- 21:14now and available everywhere books are
- 21:17sold. [music]
- 21:18Literally today, I walked into a Barnes
- 21:21& Noble and I signed a bunch of copies
- 21:24at a physical location. So, you can grab
- 21:26this book at a physical Barnes & Noble
- 21:29or you can go to a Books a Million or
- 21:31Amazon or anywhere books are sold and
- 21:34grab a copy. If you enjoy reading the
- 21:38Bible from an ancient perspective, if
- 21:40you understand that the beauty of
- 21:42scripture is actually knowing it in
- 21:44context, then you'll love this book. And
- 21:47if there's any chaos in your personal
- 21:49life, I think that reading the Bible
- 21:52from an ancient perspective can actually
- 21:54help to crush [music] the chaos in your
- 21:56life. I think this book is going to be a
- 21:58NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER. I really do.
- 22:00I think we wrote a good one. I think you
- 22:02should get a copy today. All right, back
- 22:06to the episode. Uh it says, "The
- 22:08thousand shekels are for you, Solomon,
- 22:10and 200 are for those who tend its
- 22:14fruit." Then we get verse 13. You who
- 22:16dwell in the gardens with friends and
- 22:19attendance, let me hear your voice. Come
- 22:21away, my beloved, and be like a gazelle
- 22:23or like a young stag on the spice laden
- 22:27mountains. So love is going to take on
- 22:31the imagery of a garden. And we're going
- 22:33to see that all throughout the book. But
- 22:35it closes with that that for those who
- 22:38heed the wisdom of Song of Songs, they
- 22:43get to be Adam and Eve figure. They get
- 22:45to come back into the garden and be
- 22:47naked and not ashamed. Naked and not
- 22:49ashamed means that your spouse should be
- 22:51able to say anything. And it's not that
- 22:54they're what they say may not get
- 22:57challenged, but that what they said
- 23:00won't ever be met with judgment or
- 23:01shame. There's a there's a big
- 23:03difference between shaming someone or
- 23:06judging someone for what they say versus
- 23:08correcting what they say. Last thing is
- 23:11that as we compare Israel's relationship
- 23:15with Yahweh, this our timeless truth, by
- 23:17the way, as we uh compare Israel's
- 23:19relationship with Yahweh, we want to
- 23:21keep in mind that Israel's relationship
- 23:24with Yahweh, our relationships with our
- 23:27spouses include fileto, Aeros, and
- 23:29Agape. Meanwhile, our relationship with
- 23:32the Lord really is only fileto and
- 23:35agape. And you may not know what those
- 23:37Greek words mean. Um, but there are
- 23:38multiple Greek words for love. And
- 23:40there's only one English word for love.
- 23:43And one of those Greek words was uh
- 23:46fileto, which means like brotherly love.
- 23:49It's like Philadelphia fileto, brotherly
- 23:52love, family love, friendship love. And
- 23:55aeros is where we get the word erotic,
- 23:58right? So there's aeros love, there's
- 24:00passionate sexual, sensual love, and
- 24:02there's agape. This like perfect godly
- 24:06love, like the kind of love that that
- 24:09Jesus offers. And I think sometimes when
- 24:11we get into marital conversations, we
- 24:14need agape, we need fileto, but there's
- 24:17this other category of love that we
- 24:19don't necessarily have with God. That's
- 24:21aeros love. And I've heard a lot of
- 24:23people say, you know, my husband should
- 24:26love me like Christ loved the church.
- 24:28And I'm like, yeah, absolutely. Like,
- 24:31please. Like, that is the standard that
- 24:34Paul gives men. And I then say, but I
- 24:37just want to give you like one caveat is
- 24:40that, you know, Jesus doesn't have to be
- 24:43in an erotic relationship with you. So,
- 24:46like, yes, like your your husband needs
- 24:49to have agape. your husband needs to
- 24:52have fileto for you. But there's also
- 24:54like an erotic part of love that if
- 24:58we're not careful, we'll just
- 24:59overspiritualize marriage and
- 25:02overspiritualize everything about
- 25:03marriage. And it's almost like we'll
- 25:06throw out the erotic part of marriage.
- 25:08And I think that it's really really
- 25:10important that we always remember when
- 25:14we talk about marriage, yes, I have a
- 25:17friendship with the Lord that has to be
- 25:19protected. I have a grace and a perfect
- 25:24love with God that requires me to be
- 25:27obedient. Like there's agape, there's
- 25:29fileo, but there is not an erotic
- 25:31element to my relationship with the
- 25:33Lord. And I think that sometimes if we
- 25:35just try to map our relationship with
- 25:37God onto marriage, I think that we end
- 25:39up essentially giving married people
- 25:43really bad advice like like like the
- 25:46kind of advice that really leads to
- 25:49people not emphasizing the sexual health
- 25:52of their marital relationships and
- 25:54almost ignoring the sexual realities of
- 25:58of the sensual and sexual realities of
- 26:01of a relationship of an earthly physical
- 26:05human relationship. And I would just
- 26:07challenge us that when we talk about
- 26:10marriage, you have to include the
- 26:15friendship love, the fileto love, the
- 26:18erotic love, and agape love. All right,
- 26:20tomorrow we're going to dive into the
- 26:22book of Ruth. We're going to take one
