- 0:24All right, family. Welcome to day 327.
- 0:27We are back in the book Song of Songs.
- 0:30Today we are going to trek through
- 0:32chapters four, five, and six. I got so
- 0:35much to say about Song OF SONGS. SO, AH,
- 0:38I HOPE today's episode's not too long. I
- 0:40got so so so so much to say. Like I've
- 0:42like I said yesterday, if you were here,
- 0:44we have a full course on this book. I
- 0:47think the book uh A Song of Songs is
- 0:50really really really really helpful. A
- 0:52really vital book. And I hope that
- 0:54today's episode is going to be a value
- 0:56ad. And if you haven't done the reading,
- 0:58how about you stop the video, pause the
- 1:00audio, go get the reading done. For
- 1:02those of you who have done the reading,
- 1:05you just read a whole sex scene. So,
- 1:07here we go. Let's break it down. Okay.
- 1:09I'm going to give you context clues. I'm
- 1:11going to give you nerdy nuggets. And I'm
- 1:13always going to leave off with a
- 1:14timeless truth. And you know, my
- 1:16timeless truth is really going to help
- 1:18the fellas today. I I don't really have
- 1:20any I don't have any I don't have a lot
- 1:22of timeless truths for the ladies today,
- 1:24BUT I DEFINITELY GOT SOME TIMELESS
- 1:25TRUTHS FOR THE GUYS. ALL RIGHT, it's
- 1:26going to be fantastic. You want to make
- 1:28sure you stick around for the end of the
- 1:29episode if you want the my timeless
- 1:31truth for all the gentlemen. All right,
- 1:33context clues. What is the correct title
- 1:36of this book? Let's start with that. Is
- 1:37it Song of Songs or is it Song of
- 1:40Solomon? Okay, so uh I know that may
- 1:43sound like such a nerdy little detail,
- 1:46but I think it's really really
- 1:47important. So, Song of Songs. So, what
- 1:50does Song of Songs even mean? Well,
- 1:52already in the Bible, you've seen this
- 1:54exact combination of words. Okay? Holy
- 1:58of Holies, King of Kings, right? What
- 2:01what does that mean? The Holy of Holies
- 2:04was the holiest place amongst other holy
- 2:07places. It is the best, the summit of
- 2:11holiness. The King of Kings is the king
- 2:13who is king over other kings. He is the
- 2:17most kingly of all kings. He is the
- 2:20best. The summit of kingship. Okay,
- 2:22that's what it means. That's what king
- 2:23of kings, lord of lords, holy of holies
- 2:26means. So this song right here, this
- 2:28collection of poems, this song is the
- 2:31song that is above all other songs. It
- 2:35is the best, the summit of all songs.
- 2:38This title is simply saying this is the
- 2:40greatest song ever written. Now I know
- 2:42what a lot of you may be thinking. You
- 2:44may be thinking that's a bold statement
- 2:46givingven that scripture contains many
- 2:50many songs, lots of songs in the Bible.
- 2:54Okay, this is a there's a whole book OF
- 2:56SONGS AND A COUPLE OF BOOKS AGO WE
- 2:58looked at Psalms. Are you telling me
- 3:01that the Song of Songs in the scriptures
- 3:03is not Psalm 119? Are you saying that
- 3:07this book right here, Song of Songs, is
- 3:09superior to all the Psalms that we've
- 3:12studied? What about all the songs of the
- 3:13prophets or the song of Moses? The title
- 3:17actually claims superiority over all of
- 3:20them. And there's more to it than that.
- 3:22There's a rabbitical saying that went,
- 3:23"All scripture is holy." But the song of
- 3:26songs is the holy of holies. Such was
- 3:30the esteem that this song had amongst
- 3:32the Jewish people, which is surprising,
- 3:35but is another fascinating insight into
- 3:38how different the worldview is between
- 3:40ancient Judaism and modern Christianity.
- 3:43Okay, though I I I cannot iterate this
- 3:45enough. The world view difference
- 3:48between ancient Judaism and modern
- 3:50Christianity couldn't be could not be
- 3:54further than each other. The mindset of
- 3:56ancient Judaism is wealth is fantastic.
- 4:00Wealth is great. It's like it's like
- 4:03proof that like the blessing and FAN OF
- 4:05THE GOD is on your life. Whereas
- 4:08monochristianity, you're like
- 4:09villainized for being a wealthy person.
- 4:11I I mean it's just I mean pretty
- 4:15basswards if you ask me. So another, you
- 4:19know, just big difference between
- 4:20ancient Judaism and modern Christianity
- 4:23is the celebration of sex. Purity
- 4:26culture would not even be fathomable in
- 4:30ancient Judaism. For the church, this
- 4:32song is something that has to be dealt
- 4:34with somehow. Like for modern
- 4:36Christianity, you got to like deal with
- 4:38it. its erotic content has to be
- 4:41allegorized away or its edge taken off
- 4:44through scholarly, you know,
- 4:46hermeneutical backflips and jumping
- 4:49through all these hoops. But for the
- 4:51Jewish people, the erotic content, the
- 4:53sexual union between man and woman was
- 4:55something that was celebrated. This was
- 4:58not something dirty, sinful, or
- 5:00embarrassing, but the heart of all
- 5:03humanity. like none of us would be here
- 5:05had like our parents not you know done
- 5:08what they needed to do. Okay. So when
- 5:11God looks at Adam and Eve and he says
- 5:13multiply be fruitful. He is telling them
- 5:16to like go at it like have fun like
- 5:19explore each other's bodies like let's
- 5:22let's do the dang thing. Okay let's go.
- 5:25And so ancient Judaism just has a
- 5:28totally different mindset when it comes
- 5:31to lots of things but sex is one of
- 5:34them. Now the second part of the first
- 5:37line of the book shows its connection to
- 5:39Solomon. So let's like why do some
- 5:41people call it the song of Solomon? The
- 5:43song of songs which is Solomon's this
- 5:46later is shortened and people begin to
- 5:48call it the song of Solomon. The title
- 5:50reflects a traditional association with
- 5:53with King Solomon and the connection
- 5:56between Solomon in these poems. He is
- 5:58seen to be the author of them and is
- 6:01there as an overriding story within the
- 6:04poems. Then he is traditionally seen to
- 6:06be the beloved, the king who falls in
- 6:09love with a country girl. Okay, there
- 6:11are tons of ways to interpret that one
- 6:14word of. And let me give you five ways
- 6:16that we can interpret it. When we say of
- 6:19Solomon, okay, it can either mean these
- 6:21are Solomons because he wrote them.
- 6:23These are Solomons because he was the
- 6:25patron of the author, which means he
- 6:27paid the author. Okay, these are
- 6:30Solomons because they are dedicated to
- 6:32him. These are Solomns because they are
- 6:34written in his style or written about
- 6:36him. These are Solomon's because these
- 6:39poems are a gift to him. Added to this
- 6:42are the different opinions of whether
- 6:44there's even a story here. Is Solomon
- 6:46the hero or is he the villain? Is he the
- 6:50king that falls in love with the country
- 6:51girl or is he the king who attempts to
- 6:53steal the girl away from her shepherd
- 6:56lover? If we're just wondering, let's
- 6:58just consider who in the world Solomon
- 7:00even is. Okay, if there's anybody who's
- 7:03famous for marriage, ding ding ding,
- 7:05it's this guy. Okay, his name is
- 7:07Solomon. We are told that by the end of
- 7:09his life, he had 700 wives and 300
- 7:11concubines. In these poems in chapter
- 7:146:8, we read that there are 60 queens
- 7:18and 80 concubines and virgins without
- 7:21number who are a part of the procession
- 7:23to come try to get the girl that he's in
- 7:25love with now. Not quite a thousand, but
- 7:28it does mean that if Solomon is the hero
- 7:31that he marries and marries this girl,
- 7:33then she will be one of 141 women in his
- 7:37life. Which begs the question, how can
- 7:39an author of a series of poems that
- 7:42celebrates true romantic love within the
- 7:44confines of marriage be a credible
- 7:47source when he already has been married
- 7:4960 times and has 80 concubines? If the
- 7:53beloved is Solomon or if Solomon is
- 7:55writing this, then this perfect picture
- 7:58of love is just one amongst many. And
- 8:02I'm not saying that's not possible. I'm
- 8:04just saying we have to like take into
- 8:06account if Solomon is like the author in
- 8:09a traditional sense when we have to
- 8:12really think is Solomon really a
- 8:15credible source for like erotic love
- 8:18poetry between a man and a wife. Okay.
- 8:20Uh now God could be using Solomon in
- 8:23spite of things that would disqualify
- 8:26him. That's totally fair and that's
- 8:28totally an option and that's totally up
- 8:30to you to decide. Okay, if that's the
- 8:31route you want to go down, if that's the
- 8:33interpretive route you'd like to take.
- 8:36Now, if there's no story, if we abandon
- 8:39the dramatic approach, which would try
- 8:42to string together a story, then perhaps
- 8:45we have a situation where maybe one of
- 8:48these poems is written by Solomon. I
- 8:51also think that there's an element here
- 8:53where Solomon's the villain. I I
- 8:56actually think some bold person was was
- 8:59courageous enough to write something
- 9:01where Solomon's the villain. I would go
- 9:04with there's a shepherd who's in love
- 9:07with this this country girl and
- 9:09Solomon's trying to steal her away. I do
- 9:11think that first Kings 11:es 1-4 is very
- 9:16clear that it was the many marriages of
- 9:18Solomon and his large herum that stole
- 9:21his heart from Yahweh. And actually, I
- 9:24would contend that Song of Songs is just
- 9:27a poetic approach to telling us the
- 9:30facts that we find in First Kings 11:es
- 9:331-4. Okay? So that I I would match up
- 9:37his villain role in Song of Songs with
- 9:39what First Kings 11:es 1-4 say about
- 9:43Solomon and say I don't know that he
- 9:45wrote this content. Maybe he wrote one
- 9:47of the 34 poems that we find here. But
- 9:51what I am comfortable saying is that the
- 9:54same boldness that it took to write
- 9:57first kings chapter 11 verses 1-4 is the
- 9:59same boldness that it would take to
- 10:01really critique Solomon's like marriage
- 10:04choices by centering an entire book of
- 10:08the Bible on one man, one woman for one
- 10:12lifetime and to celebrate the edenic
- 10:14ideal in the midst of Solomon like
- 10:18veering away from that eenic ideal.
- 10:22Okay. All right. That's a lot of
- 10:24context.
- 10:26Let's dive into some nerdy nuggets.
- 10:28Okay, family. The wait is over. My brand
- 10:31new book, Crushing Chaos, is out now and
- 10:35available everywhere books [music] are
- 10:37sold literally today. I walked into a
- 10:41Barnes & Noble and I signed a bunch of
- 10:43copies at a physical location. So, you
- 10:46can grab this book at a physical Barnes
- 10:48& Noble or you can go to a Books a
- 10:50Million or Amazon or anywhere books are
- 10:54sold and grab a copy. If you enjoy
- 10:57reading the Bible from an ancient
- 10:59perspective, if you understand that the
- 11:02beauty of scripture is actually knowing
- 11:03it in context, then you'll love this
- 11:06book. And if there's any chaos in your
- 11:09personal life, I [music] think that
- 11:10reading the Bible from an ancient
- 11:13perspective can actually help to crush
- 11:15the chaos in your life. I think this
- 11:17book is going to be a New York Times
- 11:18bestseller. I really do. I think we
- 11:20wrote a good one. I think you should get
- 11:22a copy today. All right, back to the
- 11:26episode. I got a couple of ideas for you
- 11:28in the Timeless Truth. Okay, poem number
- 11:30four starts in chapter 3 verse 6, goes
- 11:32all the way to chapter 5 verse one.
- 11:34Definitely like there's there's there's
- 11:37definitely a sex scene, okay, in in that
- 11:39poem. Okay. Chapter and then poem number
- 11:42five is Song of Song 5:2 to verse 8.
- 11:45Also some sexual activity happening.
- 11:48Poem number six is is starting in
- 11:51chapter 5:9 and goes to chapter 6:3.
- 11:54Okay. So, six poems that we got on the
- 11:57docket for today's reading. Couple
- 11:59things I want to highlight. Number one,
- 12:00in Song of Songs chapter 4, you we start
- 12:03to get a physical description that the
- 12:06man is going to speak to the to the
- 12:09female character. Okay? [snorts] How
- 12:11beautiful you are, my darling. Oh, how
- 12:14beautiful. Your eyes behind your veil
- 12:16are doves. Your hair is like a flock of
- 12:19goats descending from the hills of
- 12:20Gilead. Your teeth are like a flock.
- 12:23Okay, now a couple of things. Number
- 12:25one, he starts with the eyes. Okay. The
- 12:29first words out of his mouth are not you
- 12:31thick girl. Like that's it's not the
- 12:33first thing he says. All right. So, hey
- 12:35gentlemen, women don't just want to be
- 12:38like, you know, talked about like
- 12:41they're a piece of meat. All right.
- 12:42Like, hey, beauty. Beauty eyes. Okay,
- 12:46girl. Dang, you got all your teeth.
- 12:49That's hot. Okay,
- 12:52your teeth. Teeth looking good, girl.
- 12:54Okay, each one has a twin. Not one of
- 12:57them is alone. That's not You're not
- 12:59missing no teeth. That's a fantastic
- 13:01thing to say. Okay. Uh your lips like
- 13:03scarlet ribbon. Your mouth is lovely.
- 13:06Temples behind your veils like hazel
- 13:08perman. Your neck. Okay. And then and
- 13:10then we get down to the breasts. All
- 13:12right. It's not the first thing that
- 13:13comes out of homiey's mouth. And I love
- 13:15this one. Okay. Your breasts are like
- 13:17two fawns like like twin f of a gazelle
- 13:22that brows among the liies. Like, so
- 13:24number one, two, two words here. Twins.
- 13:28Okay. Hey, that, you know, they match.
- 13:30They, you know, the left one looks like
- 13:32the right one. You know, we're off to a
- 13:35good start. You know what I'm saying?
- 13:37And then, and then I love this. I love
- 13:40this. And they're [clears throat] like,
- 13:41gazels. Okay. You know, I don't know if
- 13:43I don't know if you you immediately get
- 13:45an image in your head. You know, gazels.
- 13:47They're they're real they're real hoppy.
- 13:49You know what I'm saying? They be they
- 13:51be THEY BE JUMPING, BOY. They're
- 13:53buoyant. You know what I'm saying? They
- 13:55be bouncing. [laughter]
- 13:57So So my my my guys out here, he's like,
- 14:00"Look, look, THEY MATCH AND THEY MOVING.
- 14:04THEY GOT MOTION." You know, I didn't
- 14:05know you had that much motion. I love
- 14:07this. We just We just We just reading
- 14:09the Bible. We just reading the Bible.
- 14:11Okay, that's all we doing. Uh till the
- 14:13day breaks, shadows flee. I will go to
- 14:15the mountain of my you are all together
- 14:17beautiful, my darling. Okay, so the
- 14:19breast is the last thing my man gonna
- 14:21talk about. He starts with the eyes, you
- 14:23know, the neck, the teeth, and then and
- 14:25then he lands on on the thing that's
- 14:29gonna, you know, be the most
- 14:30titillating. Okay? That's not how he
- 14:32leads. You know, words of affirmate,
- 14:34titilating. No, no pun intended. But,
- 14:36you know, that's a THOMAS TRUTH RIGHT
- 14:38THERE, GENTLEMEN. And I I won't steal my
- 14:40thunder from my Thomas Truth. My Thomas
- 14:42Truth is going to be good today. It's
- 14:43going to be fantastic. All right. Next
- 14:44thing I need you to see. Okay. First of
- 14:46all, the words of affirmation. Okay. Uh
- 14:49sex is not just some silent thing that
- 14:53you do like no no there's words. Part of
- 14:57the sexual experience is talking. Okay,
- 15:00words. And one of the harmful effects of
- 15:04purity culture is that you just you you
- 15:06feel so awkward about sex that you're
- 15:10not good at like talking
- 15:13like like talking with someone. And and
- 15:17I do think that, you know, communicating
- 15:21someone's physical beauty is very very
- 15:23important and uh gets the engine going.
- 15:25You know what I'm saying? You're not
- 15:26trying to drive a cold car. Okay? You
- 15:28got to get the engine going. All right?
- 15:30And that happens with words. Okay? It's
- 15:33important. Okay? Number two, the number
- 15:35the second things that I want to tell
- 15:36you is that garden imagery is
- 15:38everywhere. Okay? Go with me to chapter
- 15:404:12. You are a garden locked up, my
- 15:43sister, my bride. You are a spring
- 15:45enclosed, a sealed fountain. Now, now
- 15:48there's a euphemism happening here. And
- 15:50I don't know a better way to say this.
- 15:52It just mean ain't nobody wet yet. That
- 15:54that okay,
- 15:57that's that's what we saying. Okay?
- 15:59Like, hey, look, garden locked up, a
- 16:02spring enclosed, A SEALED FOUNTAIN. THE
- 16:04JUICE IS NOT FLOWING. OKAY? NO JUICE IS
- 16:07FLOWING AT THE MOMENT. OKAY? Your plants
- 16:09are an orchard, pomegranates, choice
- 16:11fruits, your garden fountain, a well of
- 16:14flowing water streaming down from
- 16:16Lebanon. Okay, by the time we GET THE
- 16:17FIRST 15, WE GOT SOME WATER. WE GOT WE
- 16:21GOT SOME MOISTURE. THIS IS FANTASTIC.
- 16:23OKAY, THIS IS GOOD. We We've moved from
- 16:26a garden locked up to we got some
- 16:28springs. We got some springs that are
- 16:30flowing. That's the goal. Okay, and then
- 16:33here we go. The entire time the poem's
- 16:36been going, what do the words have been?
- 16:38It's been, "Don't awaken love before
- 16:40it's time." Don't awake in love before
- 16:41it's time. Don't awake at long before
- 16:42it's time. Here we go. I want you to
- 16:44appreciate the tension that's been
- 16:46building. Awake north wind. That's verse
- 16:4916. Awake north wind and come south
- 16:51wind. Blow on my garden and and its
- 16:54fragrance may spread everywhere. Let my
- 16:57beloved come into his garden and taste
- 17:00his choice fruits. You better let You
- 17:02better LET HIM KNOW, GIRL. SHOOT. Blow
- 17:06blow on this garden. Let my fragrance
- 17:08spread everywhere. How things smell.
- 17:11That's important. Okay. Okay. We don't
- 17:13want to spread funk. We want to spread
- 17:15fragrance. [snorts] That's good. It
- 17:18smells good. Okay. Chapter 5 verse one.
- 17:21I've come into my garden, my sister, my
- 17:23bride. I've gathered my with my spice.
- 17:25I've eaten my honeycomb and my honey.
- 17:27I've drunk my wine and my milk. that
- 17:30that that those words right there. So
- 17:32from 416 to 51 that's that's that's the
- 17:36consummation that that's the sex act
- 17:39right there. Okay. And why is it why are
- 17:42we using garden language? Because God's
- 17:45goal is for humanity get back to the
- 17:48garden. Okay. To get back to Genesis
- 17:52chapters 1 and two where Adam and Eve
- 17:54are placed in a garden and they are
- 17:56naked with no shame. That's God's goal.
- 17:59naked with no shame. If there's shame,
- 18:02then then God's not pleased. Okay. And
- 18:04and if I'm, you know, or Yeah. naked and
- 18:09no shame. Okay. Naked and no shame. That
- 18:11means I can't be angelic or anim
- 18:13animalistic. I got to be truly human.
- 18:15All right. Words of affirmation was the
- 18:17first nerdy nugget. Garden imagery.
- 18:20Second nerdy nugget. Do not awaken
- 18:22versus awaken. Third nerdy nugget. Okay.
- 18:24And now I just want to just make you
- 18:26aware that there's a whole another sex
- 18:29scene. Okay? And I I want you to see how
- 18:32much like moisture language is used. All
- 18:37right? This is a dream sequence. And it
- 18:40says, "My head is drenched with dew. My
- 18:43hair with the dampness of the night."
- 18:46Okay. Drenched in dampness. Okay. And
- 18:49and what it the words are open to me, my
- 18:53sister, my darling. Okay. Drenched with
- 18:55dew, dampness of the night, and then
- 18:57I've washed my feet. Now, feet are a
- 18:59euphemism for male bodily parts. Okay.
- 19:03Private parts. Uh so like when you know
- 19:07in the story of Ruth, okay, when she is
- 19:10at Boaz's feet, you know, she definitely
- 19:13ain't giving him a pedicure. I I'll just
- 19:15say that much. Okay. And then uh my
- 19:18beloved thrust his hand through the
- 19:20latch opening. My heart began to pound
- 19:23for him. Let me tell you what's not h
- 19:25we're not talking about a literal latch
- 19:27opening. All right. This not this not a
- 19:29literal door. Yeah. This is this this is
- 19:31the door into her soul. Okay. And and
- 19:34what does it say? I arose open to my
- 19:36beloved. I open to him and my hands
- 19:40dripped with myrr. Okay. Fingers flowing
- 19:44with myrr. So, you know, moisture.
- 19:47There's a whole another sex scene here.
- 19:48Okay. And it's a dream sequence. And
- 19:51then uh we end today's you know reading
- 19:54with her describing him physically. My
- 19:57beloved is radiant and ruddy outstanding
- 20:00amongst 10,000. His head is a purest
- 20:02gold and eyes, cheeks, lips, arms, body,
- 20:07legs, appearance, his mouth. This is my
- 20:10beloved. This is my friend. Daughters of
- 20:13Jerusalem. All right. Hope I helped you
- 20:15just interpret Song of Songs. All right.
- 20:17Okay, my timeless truth is simple, but
- 20:18it's definitely geared towards a
- 20:20gentleman. And it's this one thing is
- 20:22going to help your sex life, and that is
- 20:25your phone. Okay, this thing right here.
- 20:27This is either going to be the thing
- 20:29that destroys your relationship with
- 20:31your wife, or this the thing that's
- 20:33going to mean that your relationship
- 20:34with your bride is is hot and steamy.
- 20:38This thing right here. Now, I get it.
- 20:40I'm a guy, okay? For me to be ready to
- 20:44rock and roll when it comes to sex
- 20:46takes, I don't know.5 seconds. Like 30
- 20:49seconds, man. No warm-up time necessary.
- 20:52I could be thinking about video games,
- 20:54basketball, coffee, and then if my wife
- 20:56is like, "Hey, you down to go? Let's
- 20:58go." I no warm up. But for all the
- 21:02gentlemen, I need you to know that's not
- 21:03how women operate. Okay? So, if you have
- 21:06this expectation that you're going to
- 21:07come home from work and your wife's just
- 21:09going to be chilling on the couch with
- 21:11some lingerie on and she's just going to
- 21:13be ready to like attack you, that that
- 21:16is going to that's possible, but it's
- 21:19going to take you sending words of
- 21:22affirmation to her throughout the day.
- 21:25And and you may want to get take a page
- 21:27right out of right out of song
- 21:30of songs chapter 4 verse one. you may
- 21:33want to just rip this page out because
- 21:35the way that this brother is talking to
- 21:36this woman, that's the way you want to
- 21:38start talking to her. And if you trying
- 21:40to get freaky with your wife at 10:00
- 21:43tonight, you should start warming up
- 21:45that engine at 10:00 this morning. She
- 21:48going to need like a solid 12 hours of
- 21:51like warming it up, warming it up,
- 21:53warming it up. And and here's the deal.
- 21:56Tell her she's beautiful, but please
- 21:58like be freaky, bro. like say stuff that
- 22:02you know is going to get that engine
- 22:04going because sex is on your mind all
- 22:07day. And now you may have married a
- 22:10woman who's just like, "Hey man, you
- 22:13know, I'm a lady in the streets but a
- 22:14freak in the bed." Like you you I don't
- 22:16know. I don't know. You may have married
- 22:17somebody like that. But for the average
- 22:20woman, they're not thinking about sex
- 22:22all day long non-stop. That's just not
- 22:24what they're thinking about. They're not
- 22:26They're not like men. They're not every
- 22:29waking moment isn't kind of connected to
- 22:31sex in some way. So that means that
- 22:34you're either going to be on this phone
- 22:36looking at porn or like on Reddit or on
- 22:39Twitter or X like looking at stuff
- 22:42that's getting you sexually stimulated
- 22:44and excited and then you're using that
- 22:46sexual energy in ways that are taking
- 22:48away from your marriage. or you're going
- 22:51to be on this phone sending your girl
- 22:54stuff that's getting her engine going
- 22:57because by the time you do get home,
- 22:59especially if she's got kids, if you
- 23:01guys got small kids, or if she's got a
- 23:03job, like I I I'm sorry to burst your
- 23:06bubble, but you're just going to have to
- 23:08get over yourself and know that you're
- 23:10not the center of her universe. But if
- 23:13but if you are going to be an important
- 23:15part of her life and if sex is going to
- 23:17be important and I would say that sex is
- 23:19a very very important of a thriving
- 23:22flourishing sexual relationship then
- 23:24you're going to have to put sex on her
- 23:26mind. You are going to have to be the
- 23:28person who is wound her up so that when
- 23:32you do get home that she is like I'm
- 23:35ready to pounce on this man. But you're
- 23:37going to have to do the work of getting
- 23:39her to that place. And now there are
- 23:42some husbands this does not apply. And
- 23:45there are some women maybe you're kind
- 23:47of like the guy in the relationship. So
- 23:49like your sexual urges are stronger than
- 23:52his. Hey, then take the advice that I'm
- 23:55GIVING TO ALL THE guys today. Okay, text
- 23:58that brother. Let that brother know. If
- 24:00you have a sexual appetite that's maybe
- 24:02stronger than his, you guys got to work
- 24:05together so that the sexual experience
- 24:08that you guys share together is awesome,
- 24:12is incredible. And let me just
- 24:14reiterate, there should be absolutely no
- 24:16shame, no embarrassment when it comes to
- 24:19talking about sex. There's a whole book
- 24:21of the Bible dedicated to making sure
- 24:23your fingers are dripping with myrr. You
- 24:25know what I'm saying? making sure things
- 24:28is is is is how they need to be. Making
- 24:31sure it's fragrant. Making sure stuff is
- 24:34bouncing. You know what I'm saying?
- 24:35There's a whole book of the Bible. This
- 24:36is this is God. God made this inspired
- 24:39by the Holy Ghost. And that's a timeless
- 24:41truth. That's not just for Solomon,
- 24:43baby. That's for you and that's for us.
- 24:45That's for me. That's fantastic. All
- 24:47right. Tomorrow we got our last day in
- 24:50Songs of Songs. Uh, you know, it's going
- 24:52to be fantastic. We got chapter seven
- 24:54and chapter eight of Song of Songs. same
- 24:56time, same place. I hope that this
