- 0:00Hey Bible nerds, this is Dr. Manny
- 0:02Orango. Welcome to the Bible department
- 0:04podcast powered by Arma. We are walking
- 0:08through the entire Bible in a year. You
- 0:10can go to the description or the bible
- 0:13department.com to download a reading
- 0:15plan and join the journey
- 0:24family. Welcome to day 305 here at the
- 0:26Bible department. Today we are diving
- 0:28into Proverbs chapters 10, 11, and 12.
- 0:32This is the more classic kind of
- 0:35Proverbs that people are used to. The
- 0:38short wisdom sayings, Proverbs chapters
- 0:411-9
- 0:43had a poetic storytelling kind of a
- 0:46flow, themes that carried through. And
- 0:49these are just oneliners, one hit
- 0:52wonders. Okay. So, this entire section
- 0:55of the book is going to feel this way
- 0:57from Proverbs chapter 10 all the way to
- 0:59Proverbs chap 22:1
- 1:0216 is going to feel like these one-hit
- 1:04wonders, these oneliners, these just
- 1:07these hard-hitting, memorable oneliners.
- 1:10Okay, so uh if you haven't done the
- 1:12reading for the day, how about you stop
- 1:14this video, pause the audio, go get the
- 1:16reading done. I mean, I quite enjoy
- 1:19reading Proverbs, but I love wisdom. I
- 1:23love love love wisdom. And uh I hope by
- 1:27the end of uh our time together through
- 1:29Proverbs, you love wisdom as well.
- 1:32Because if you don't love wisdom, that
- 1:34means you love foolishness. So, we don't
- 1:36want to love foolishness. All right. The
- 1:39only context clue I really have for you
- 1:41is that we have a difference of the type
- 1:45of proverb that we are reading. Okay,
- 1:47from Proverbs 1-9, we are reading a
- 1:50narrative, storytelling, poetic kind of
- 1:53a flow. And you can feel it soon as you
- 1:55start Proverbs chapter 10, you can feel
- 1:58like, oh, okay, yeah, that was a
- 2:00distinct section. And now I'm in a new
- 2:02section. And these are short sentences
- 2:05drawn from long experiences. Okay, when
- 2:08people think of proverbs, this is what
- 2:10they typically think of, these short,
- 2:12memorable sentence sayings. All right.
- 2:15So, here's what I'm going to do today.
- 2:17I'm just going to give you my top for
- 2:20our nerdy nuggets, okay? For our nerdy
- 2:22nuggets today, I'm just going to give
- 2:23you my top 10 proverbs from these three
- 2:27chapters. Top 10. So, we're going to
- 2:29kind of like rapid fire through these.
- 2:32Not going to give super super long
- 2:34explanations. Just going to read the
- 2:36verse, encourage you, and and then and
- 2:39then move to the next one. Okay? And I'm
- 2:41going to try to move through 10. I know
- 2:43that's lofty. I should have said five or
- 2:45seven or something, but no, I think I
- 2:46can do 10. Okay, here's Dr. Manny's top
- 2:4910 proverbs from today's reading. Okay,
- 2:52uh I want you to grab your Bible. Let's
- 2:54go to Proverbsap 10 verse4. Proverbs
- 2:57chapter 10:4. And while you're there, go
- 3:00ahead and grab verse 22. Proverbsap 10:4
- 3:04and Proverbs chapter 10 verse 22. Cuz
- 3:07man,
- 3:08this is good right here. Uh I think they
- 3:11go together. These these two oneliners
- 3:13go together. Proverbs 10:4, "Lazy hands
- 3:16make for poverty, but diligent hands
- 3:19bring wealth." Lazy hands make for
- 3:21poverty. Diligent hands [snorts] bring
- 3:23wealth. Is it a guarantee? No. Does it
- 3:26mean that every lazy person will be
- 3:30poor? No. Some lazy people have rich
- 3:32parents and it is what it is. Does it
- 3:33mean that every poor person is lazy? No.
- 3:37But does it mean that there is overlap
- 3:39between laziness and poverty? Yes.
- 3:43Diligent hands bring wealth. Does that
- 3:45mean every diligent person is wealthy?
- 3:47No. Does that mean that every wealthy
- 3:50person is diligent? No. But is there
- 3:52overlap? Yes. There's enough overlap for
- 3:55this proverb to say that lazy hands make
- 3:58for poverty and diligent hands bring
- 4:00wealth. What I get out of that is, hey,
- 4:03make sure I'm fighting laziness at every
- 4:07stage. And there's different kinds of
- 4:08laziness. There are people who, you
- 4:11know, are workaholics, but they're still
- 4:12lazy. Okay? So, they'll put in tons of
- 4:15work and effort at their job because
- 4:18their work or their professional life is
- 4:20actually easy for them. But when it
- 4:22comes to like their emotional life or
- 4:24their marital life or their life as a
- 4:26parent, they don't put in equal amounts
- 4:29of work because in those areas they're
- 4:31lazy. And so I have prided myself as a
- 4:35hardworking person. I remember the first
- 4:37time that a leader kind of looked at me
- 4:39and was like, "Yeah, but you know,
- 4:42you're lazy when it comes to your
- 4:44marriage. You're lazy when it comes to
- 4:47things that have to do with the home.
- 4:49You're lazy when it comes to Tia and
- 4:51Theo. You're lazy. And I remember the
- 4:54first time Uncle Jimmy Rollins, like I
- 4:56had preached like four times and I call
- 4:58him Unk. I call him Uncle Jimmy. You
- 5:00know, I was just ready to go home and
- 5:01crash. And he was like, "You better grab
- 5:03a 5-hour energy at the airport. Your son
- 5:06does not care that you preach four
- 5:07times. He does not care." And it's lazy
- 5:10to use preaching four times as an excuse
- 5:12to go home and not be a good parent and
- 5:15to just check out and not engage with
- 5:17your son. Okay, that's lazy. If you're
- 5:19going to be hardworking on Sunday
- 5:22mornings at the church, then guess what?
- 5:24You're going to be hardworking when you
- 5:26get home, when you engage with your wife
- 5:28and your son. Okay? So, lazy, diligent.
- 5:32I think that it goes well with verse 22
- 5:34because here's what verse 22 says. The
- 5:36blessing of the Lord brings wealth
- 5:39without painful toil for it. So,
- 5:42Proverbs is shy about wealth. Proverbs
- 5:45is not going to operate under the
- 5:48assumption that wealth is like evil or
- 5:50wealth is bad. Actually, the Bible
- 5:52operates from this place that greed is a
- 5:55problem that idolatry is a problem. So,
- 5:58if money is something that creates greed
- 6:00in you or if finances or financial
- 6:03security is an idol for you, then then
- 6:06God has an issue with that. But he has
- 6:08no problem with wealth. Actually, the
- 6:10Bible never says that money is evil or
- 6:12money's bad. that says the love of money
- 6:15is bad, which again is greed and
- 6:17idolatry. Okay, so number one, Proverbs
- 6:2010:4. Number two, Proverbs 10:22.
- 6:25Number three, Proverbs 11:4. Proverbs
- 6:2911:4 says this, "Wealth is worthless in
- 6:33the day of wrath." Okay, again, Proverbs
- 6:37is actually giving a pretty holistic
- 6:39view on wealth. says, "Hey, you know,
- 6:42God brings a blessing of wealth.
- 6:44Diligent hands create wealth, but let's
- 6:46be clear, wealth is worthless on the day
- 6:49of wrath, but righteousness delivers
- 6:52from death." Hey, don't just go after
- 6:53being wealthy. Make sure that you go
- 6:55after being righteous. Okay, I love
- 6:57that. That's a good good reminder, and
- 7:00it's a good counterbalance. I guess the
- 7:02way that I've thought about it is this.
- 7:03If a plane's crashing, it doesn't matter
- 7:05if you're in first class. Okay? So,
- 7:08you're dying. Okay? Everybody dying.
- 7:10Okay. So, the goal of this proverb is to
- 7:13help people to go, hey, wealth is
- 7:15worthless in the day of wrath. Hey, once
- 7:18once God cracks the sky and comes back,
- 7:21you're not going to be able to take your
- 7:23riches or your wealth with you. So,
- 7:25wealth is worthless in the day of wrath.
- 7:27So, make sure that you stored up some
- 7:29treasures in heaven, okay? Where moth
- 7:31and rust don't destroy, where thieves
- 7:32don't break in and steal. Okay? That's
- 7:34why it says righteousness delivers from
- 7:36death, not wealth. That's three. Let's
- 7:38do number four, family. The wait is
- 7:41over. My brand new book, Crushing Chaos,
- 7:44is out now and available everywhere
- 7:48books are sold literally today. I walked
- 7:51into a Barnes & Noble and I signed a
- 7:54bunch of copies at a physical location.
- 7:56So, you can grab this book [music] at a
- 7:59physical Barnes & Noble or you can go to
- 8:01a Books a Million or Amazon or anywhere
- 8:04books are sold and grab a copy. If you
- 8:07enjoy reading the Bible from an ancient
- 8:10perspective, if you understand that the
- 8:13beauty of scripture is actually knowing
- 8:14it in context, then you'll love this
- 8:17book. And if there's any chaos in your
- 8:20personal life, I [music] think that
- 8:22reading the Bible from an ancient
- 8:24perspective can actually help to crush
- 8:26the chaos in your life. I think this
- 8:28book is going to be a New York Times
- 8:29bestseller. I really do. I think we
- 8:31wrote a good one. I think you should get
- 8:34a copy today. All right, back to the
- 8:37episode. Proverbs 11 24- 26 says this,
- 8:43"One person gives freely yet gains even
- 8:46more." That's the counterintuitive
- 8:49nature of generosity right there. One
- 8:51person gives freely yet gains even more.
- 8:54Another withholds
- 8:56unduly but comes to poverty. That verse
- 8:59right there essentially says generosity
- 9:02leads to wealth, not the other way
- 9:03around. Wealth doesn't lead to
- 9:05generosity, but generosity leads to
- 9:07wealth. But stinginess leads to poverty.
- 9:10Are all stingy people poor? No. Are all
- 9:13poor people stingy? No. But is there
- 9:16overlap? Yes. Okay. So remember,
- 9:19Proverbs are not telling you how things
- 9:21work all the time. It's not a law of
- 9:25nature. It's not like gravity. But
- 9:27Proverbs is telling you a general rule
- 9:29of thumb. Uh let's keep going. Verse 25.
- 9:32A generous person will prosper. Whoever
- 9:35refreshes others will be refreshed. This
- 9:37is saying this this how society works.
- 9:39Generous people are attractive people.
- 9:42I've won favor by just being a generous
- 9:44person. One of the first things we did
- 9:46when we got to Houston is I decided,
- 9:47yep, I'm going to buy season tickets to
- 9:50the Houston Rockets. Why? Cuz I'm not
- 9:52planting a church from a poverty
- 9:54mindset. I'm planting a church from an
- 9:56abundance mindset, from a wealth
- 9:58mindset. And to me, I want to be able to
- 10:00invite people to go see the Houston
- 10:02Rockets with me. So, I bought two
- 10:04tickets. And I'm able to say to anybody
- 10:07on our team, "Come, come go to a game
- 10:08with me." Especially, not anybody, men
- 10:12on our team, come go to a game with me.
- 10:15Well, that's generous. That's just me
- 10:16being generous. An executive pastor at
- 10:18my old church so told me that uh he
- 10:21always used to give his kids when they
- 10:23were in high school a pack of gum. He
- 10:25sent them to school with a pack of gum
- 10:26every morning. He said, "Cuz guess what?
- 10:28The kid with gum makes friends cuz you
- 10:31can give gum away. He didn't give them
- 10:32gum so their breath could be fresh. He
- 10:34gave them gum so that they could win
- 10:36favor with other people because
- 10:39generosity
- 10:40always attracts people. People love
- 10:44being around givers. They love being
- 10:46around generous people. People do not
- 10:48like being around stingy people or
- 10:50people who take. Okay? People who
- 10:53withdraw more than they deposit. No one
- 10:55likes being around that person. Okay?
- 10:57But people love being around a generous
- 10:59person. I want you to think about this.
- 11:01What emotion do you think people feel
- 11:03when they see your name on their caller
- 11:05ID? When they look at their phone and
- 11:07you're calling, do you think they get a
- 11:08pit in their stomach like, "Ah, this
- 11:10dude about to ask me for something or do
- 11:12you think they rejoice like, "Yo, this
- 11:14person's about to encourage me." And uh
- 11:16I got some friends in my life who as
- 11:18soon as I see their name on my phone,
- 11:20they're calling me. I'm like, yo, every
- 11:23time they call me, they encourage, they
- 11:25make a deposit. They're generous. And
- 11:27that means I always answer the phone.
- 11:29There's some people,
- 11:31they are low capacity, but high
- 11:34maintenance. That's the opposite of
- 11:36generous. Here's what generous is. Low
- 11:38maintenance and high capacity. It means
- 11:41that you don't require a lot of
- 11:42attention, but you're someone who gives
- 11:44a lot of value. Okay, that is a general
- 11:47rule. I I could say right there, Gary
- 11:50Vee, I don't know if you know who Gary
- 11:51Vee is genuinely just trying to teach
- 11:53people how to do that, right? You don't
- 11:55even need to be a Christian to access
- 11:56that level of wisdom that you should be
- 11:59generous. Why do we make this entire
- 12:01podcast free? Well, it's because I
- 12:04believe that the more you share the the
- 12:09world of the generous get bigger and
- 12:11bigger, get larger and larger. Okay. So,
- 12:13uh, Proverbsap 11 24 to 26. Uh, and then
- 12:19last one, people curse the one who
- 12:21hoards grain, but they pray God's
- 12:23blessing on the one who is willing to
- 12:25sell. Okay, so Proverbs 11:es 24- 26
- 12:29essentially saying, hey, the world of
- 12:32the generous man brings blessing. People
- 12:35want generous people to flourish because
- 12:37they understand that if that person
- 12:39flourishes, we all flourish. Okay. So,
- 12:41Proverbs 10:4, Proverbs 10:22, Proverbs
- 12:4411:4, Proverbs 11:24-26.
- 12:49Okay. And then uh Proverbs 10. So, we're
- 12:52going to go back to Proverbs 10. Okay.
- 12:54Uh Proverbs 10 24. Proverbs 10 24 and
- 12:5925. Oh, no, no, no, just 24. Sorry, just
- 13:0324. It says this, "What the wicked dread
- 13:05will overtake them. What the what the
- 13:07righteous desire will be granted." Say,
- 13:10I want you to think about this. This is
- 13:11the first time that we have a riddle.
- 13:13This is more like a riddle. You got to
- 13:15have to figure out the riddle. Okay?
- 13:17What the wicked dread will overtake
- 13:19them. What the righteous desire will be
- 13:23granted. Okay? So, we have to ask the
- 13:25question, what do the wicked dread and
- 13:28what do the righteous desire? And it
- 13:31would seem as though it's the same thing
- 13:33because that's how the riddle works. And
- 13:35the answer is Yahweh. That's the answer.
- 13:39You got to figure out the real. You have
- 13:40to think about it for a little bit. The
- 13:41answer is Yahweh. What do the wicked
- 13:44dread? The the presence of God. Why?
- 13:46Because they're wicked and they know
- 13:48that Yahweh means wrath. Okay. What do
- 13:51the righteous desire? Yahweh. And so
- 13:54both will get what they what they the
- 13:56the the wicked will get what they dread.
- 13:59One day Yahweh will come on the day of
- 14:01the Lord. Yahweh will come. And what
- 14:05will happen? Yahweh will overtake the
- 14:07wicked. They'll die. But what will
- 14:09happen to the righteous? The righteous,
- 14:11what they desire will be granted. And
- 14:13then next verse kind of goes along with
- 14:15it. When the storm is swept by, the
- 14:17wicked are gone. It may look like the
- 14:19wicked are prospering, but their lives
- 14:21are not set up to withstand trouble, to
- 14:24withstand storms, to withstand hardship.
- 14:27Okay? But the righteous stand firm
- 14:29forever. The righteous aren't shaken by
- 14:32storms. Okay? because they're righteous
- 14:35and they're building their life not just
- 14:37for this world but for eternity. All
- 14:39right, I got through five. Let me see
- 14:41how many more I can get through before
- 14:43our time runs out today. Proverbs
- 14:45chapter 10 verse 8. Proverbs chapter 10
- 14:48verse 8 says this and it goes along with
- 14:51verse 17 of the same chapter. So
- 14:54Proverbs chapter 10 verse 8 and 17 says
- 14:58this in verse eight, the wise in heart
- 15:00accept commands. Okay. But then verse 17
- 15:03says, "Whoever heeds discipline shows
- 15:06the way to life, but whoever ignores
- 15:08correction leads others astray. The wise
- 15:11in heart accept commands." The wise in
- 15:14heart, they accept commands. They they
- 15:17And then it says this, "But a chattering
- 15:19fool comes to ruin." I always can tell
- 15:21whether or not someone's in a position
- 15:22to accept based on how much they're
- 15:25listening to the ratio of how much
- 15:26they're talking. So the wise in heart
- 15:28accept commands. They know how to heed
- 15:30discipline. They're easy to correct,
- 15:33easy to give advice to because you give
- 15:36them advice, they pivot, they change,
- 15:38they apply it. What's verse 17 say?
- 15:40Whoever heeds discipline shows the way
- 15:42to life. But whoever ignores correction
- 15:45leads others astray. I don't want to be
- 15:47someone who ignores wisdom, who ignores
- 15:50correction. Actually, the way that I
- 15:52would say it is like being easily
- 15:54offended will lead you to a place where
- 15:58you where you ignore correction and
- 16:01where you don't want to be challenged,
- 16:03where you don't like commands. Nothing
- 16:05worse than an insecure person who's
- 16:08always offended when you have something
- 16:10to say that will help them ultimately.
- 16:12Let's see if we can get a couple more
- 16:14in. Proverbs 11:1. It's a good one.
- 16:18Okay. the Lord to test dishonest scales,
- 16:20but accurate weights find favor with
- 16:22him. Obviously, God, what you begin to
- 16:25see through Proverbs is wealth is not an
- 16:28issue for God. But what does God have an
- 16:30issue with? Injustice, ill gotten gain.
- 16:33He's like, "No, no, no, no, no.
- 16:34Dishonest scales means that you're
- 16:37using, you know, would be kind of like
- 16:38it's a way to get over on on on people."
- 16:41Okay. Dishonest scales. It's it's like,
- 16:43hey, what what the Lord actually has an
- 16:45issue with is a lying and cheating and
- 16:50using shady methods to get wealthy,
- 16:53okay? Get rich quick schemes like that
- 16:57stuff, God is just like, "Yeah, no, I'm
- 16:59not in that." And so anyone who's trying
- 17:01to convert you to like be a part of
- 17:03their pyramid scheme or sorry their
- 17:04multi-level marketing, you know, thing,
- 17:07like if it's dishonest, if it's getting
- 17:08over on somebody, you know, if I got to
- 17:10cheat on my taxes to do it, I I'm
- 17:12probably I'm not going to do it because
- 17:14God says like he hates dishonest skills.
- 17:16And uh at some point, you can't love
- 17:18wealth so much that you're willing to
- 17:20compromise on your character because one
- 17:23of the things that Proverbs has got to
- 17:24make clear is that your name, like
- 17:26having a good name is to be valued.
- 17:29Okay. So, dishonest scales. God has an
- 17:31issue with injustice. Especially if that
- 17:33injustice is taking advantage of the
- 17:35poor. All right. So, I I wanted that put
- 17:37in there because if we just cherrypick
- 17:40the proverbs that sound like, "Yeah,
- 17:42man, God is pro wealth." Then that's not
- 17:45actually helping us. There's a very very
- 17:47holistic picture that God's creating
- 17:49here in the Proverbs on how we're
- 17:52supposed to engage with money in the
- 17:54marketplace as business leaders. And and
- 17:57one of the things that God says verse
- 17:5911, sorry, chapter 11, verse one, the
- 18:02Lord hates the son of skills. Okay? But
- 18:05accurate weights find favor with him.
- 18:07God wants you to win, but he doesn't
- 18:08want you to cheat to do it. Okay? He
- 18:10doesn't want you to lose your character
- 18:12to do it or compromise your morals to do
- 18:14it. Uh let's see how many more I can get
- 18:16done. Proverbs 12, uh verse 11 is a good
- 18:20one. Proverbs 12 11. It says this,
- 18:23"Those who work their land will have
- 18:25abundant food, but those who chase
- 18:27fantasies have no sense." That's a good
- 18:30one. Work the land don't chase
- 18:32fantasies. Okay, there are people who I
- 18:37ask them their dream and they tell me
- 18:39and I'm like, "Okay, so what are you
- 18:40doing to get there?" And and they're
- 18:42like, "Oh, nothing." And I'm like, "Got
- 18:43it." There's not a dream then. It's a
- 18:45fantasy. You're living in fantasy. you
- 18:48know you there's nothing realistic about
- 18:50what you're saying and the way that I
- 18:53know that I'm operating in faith and not
- 18:55a fantasy is that faith without works is
- 18:58dead. I guess the other way that I can
- 19:00say this faith without corresponding
- 19:02action is a fantasy. It's a fantasy.
- 19:05There's some people actually they have
- 19:07dreams and their dreams they're dreaming
- 19:10not to get to work but they're dreaming
- 19:12to keep them from work. They're they
- 19:14they spend all this time dreaming up
- 19:16what they're gonna do, who they're going
- 19:17to be, almost like they're caught up in
- 19:21dreamland. And it's like you can't get
- 19:23them to get busy doing something. But
- 19:27who's who's actually going to have
- 19:29abundant food? Those who work their
- 19:31land. Get work the land. It's one thing
- 19:34for me to dream about Arma. It's another
- 19:37thing for me to get in the studio,
- 19:39record some courses, learn how to get,
- 19:42you know, salesunnel together, run some
- 19:44ads, get a podcast, you know, put the
- 19:47ads in the middle of the podcast and
- 19:49work the land. It's one thing for me to
- 19:52have a pipe dream like, oh, I'm going to
- 19:54plant a church one day. It's another
- 19:55thing to move to Houston, start meeting
- 19:58people, start evangelizing,
- 20:00start attracting Christians who are not
- 20:04been to church, get them active that get
- 20:07them get them from dormant, you know,
- 20:10active like to work the land. Get to
- 20:14work. Wake up. There's a lot of us,
- 20:16we're just living in fantasies. One day
- 20:19I'm gonna one day. What about today?
- 20:22What are you going to do today? What
- 20:24about right now? A whole bunch of people
- 20:26who it's like they're they tell me about
- 20:29all their future goals and then I I look
- 20:31at them and I'm like, "Okay, so you got
- 20:33a dream of being an entrepreneur."
- 20:35Fantastic. You're a bad employee today,
- 20:38though. Hey, stop with the fantasies.
- 20:41Work the land. Work your land. And guess
- 20:45what? The best land is to work. This is
- 20:46where we're going to pivot to our Thomas
- 20:48tree. Guess the best land to work right
- 20:50here. The soil of your own soul.
- 20:52Everything every everything that I've
- 20:55reaped in my life has come out of the
- 20:58the toil of getting my my heart turning
- 21:02my heart into good ground. Making sure
- 21:05that my heart is not thorny, rocky, or
- 21:08shallow, but that I'm good ground. And
- 21:11um there's other proverbs that we could
- 21:13look at. There's, you know, I've got a
- 21:15bunch of proverbs listed here that we
- 21:16just don't have time to get into. So, we
- 21:18didn't hit 10. It was wishful thinking.
- 21:20It was a fantasy. But I want to leave
- 21:23you with this timeless truth. First of
- 21:24all, the proverbs are already timeless,
- 21:26but just the timeless truth that the
- 21:28best land of work is the ground of your
- 21:31heart. It's the wellspring of life
- 21:33protect your heart above everything.
- 21:35It's the wellspring of life. Like, does
- 21:37love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
- 21:39goodness, generous, self-control? Do all
- 21:41the fruits of the Holy Spirit grow out
- 21:44of the soil of your soul? Because if
- 21:46they don't, then that means you got to
- 21:48work the land. You got to work the land
- 21:51of your heart because it doesn't matter
- 21:54how great of an employee or talented of
- 21:56an employee I could recruit if my own
- 22:00soul is not producing the fruit of the
- 22:02Holy Spirit great employees are not
- 22:04going to stay. So what good is it if I
- 22:07recruit them but then it can't keep
- 22:08them. Okay. So, the biggest ROI that
- 22:11I've had as a pastor, as an
- 22:13entrepreneur, as a leader, as as a faith
- 22:17leader, as a business leader, has been
- 22:19cultivating the soil of my own heart.
- 22:23And I would say, man, Proverbs 12:1,
- 22:27those who work their land, not just the
- 22:30land of their business or their family
- 22:32or No, no, no. But their land, like what
- 22:35me and my therapist do, okay? couple
- 22:38times out of the month. This land called
- 22:41this plot of land called Manny Orango. I
- 22:43was made from the dirt and to the dirt I
- 22:46will return one day. And my job is to
- 22:48work this plot of ground until this plot
- 22:51of ground produced a harvest of
- 22:52righteousness. And that's not just true
- 22:54for Solomon. That's not just true for
- 22:57the context of when these proverbs were
- 22:59written. But that's true for you. That's
- 23:01true for me. That's timelessly true. All
- 23:03right. Tomorrow we got day 306. We're
- 23:06going to be looking at Proverbs chapters
- 23:0813, 14, or 15. I love Proverbs. Maybe
- 23:11tomorrow I'll do a top 10 again. And
- 23:14maybe I'll say it's top 10, but won't
- 23:16get to 10 because there's no way to get
- 23:17to 10 in a 20-minute episode. But
- 23:19anyway, we'll see. I love you. I'm proud
- 23:22of you. Especially if you're on a
- 23:23streak. I'll see you right here
- 23:24tomorrow. Same day, same time, same
- 23:26place. Let's look at Proverbs chapter 13
- 23:29and 15 tomorrow. Love you guys. Peace.
