0:05ahead and get into it we're gonna be
0:07covering Darlie routier we're gonna do
0:09the who what when where is wise and then
0:11we'll go into some Furies my personal
0:13beliefs and as well as some other
0:15personal beliefs of other people so
0:17we'll get into that so we're gonna go
0:20ahead and start off so on June 6 1996
0:23the bralette Police Department in Texas
0:25received a phone call from a frantic
0:28woman stating that she and her two
0:31children had been stabbed that they
0:33needed to come quick and her phone call
0:37is a whopping five minutes and 44
0:40seconds long she was on that phone call
0:42for a long period of time and so at 2:31
0:46she places the call okay by the time
0:49that the paramedics get there everyone
0:51is able to they're able to secure the
0:52situation because she's stating that an
0:55intruder had entered the home she's
0:56stating that they came in they stabbed
0:59me that's what she said it's okay and it
1:02would later changed it he all throughout
1:05the phone call it's changing its
1:07changing he they so which was it and
1:10that's gonna be a big problem for Darlie
1:12it hurt her changing stories she's
1:13constantly unable to keep the story
1:17street and I think that there's are the
1:18two reasons for that
1:19and I think either yeah she's just
1:21trying to be just deceptive she wants to
1:25deceive everybody or perhaps I think
1:29that one of the things I've always had a
1:31theory on is is that
1:33the druggies like yeah when you do an
1:35autopsy you do a standard autopsy you're
1:38gonna check for certain things I bet it
1:39means what she did test positive for
1:41you're gonna even have other things
1:43barbiturates different things like that
1:45however there are certain drugs that we
1:49know that just typically aren't tested
1:50for and that there's there's they're
1:53sedatives different things that they use
1:55one of the things I want to bring up is
1:58the last call killer and one of the
2:00things he did is he was a nurse so he
2:02had access to some of these these
2:05prescriptive drugs that were used as
2:07sedative so basically it wouldn't it
2:08wouldn't pop up it wouldn't they
2:10wouldn't test for it but it basically
2:11knocked about he's able to rape them now
2:14we know that Darren who's the husband
2:16all this is going on you have Darren
2:20Darlie the mother you have Devon the
2:23eldest you have Damon the middle and
2:25then you have the baby Drake and he's
2:27upstairs wait there so supposedly Darlie
2:31the two oldest boys on the bottom level
2:34you have the baby Darren and the dog
2:37nobody's mentioned the dog Domino's no
2:40one I don't hear anybody kind of bring
2:42that up and think that it's a
2:43significant piece of information I kind
2:45of feel like if you have a child
2:48especially if you have children a baby
2:51you don't want that child being woken up
2:53because they're gonna be woken up and
2:54it's much harder to get them back to
2:55sleep you know then and you have a
2:57little yappy Pomeranian up with him and
3:01set it down with the elders maybe that's
3:04how it went but it seems like that was
3:06her dog and the dog was upstairs with
3:08him
3:09I always kind of find that weird it
3:11would later be stated by an officer that
3:13the dog nipped him so when they're doing
3:16their security you know they're making
3:19sure everything is secure you're having
3:20this little yappy dog why wasn't the dog
3:22going on what was going on why wasn't
3:25there more commotion maybe Darren knew
3:28more than he was saying or maybe Darlie
3:31was knocked out maybe something she was
3:32coming to and that's why she was
3:34fighting I don't think that they
3:35expected her to wake up or it's one of
3:40those things where she she didn't
3:44realize that how close she did come to
3:46dying that she was really that close she
3:49almost bled out so maybe it was one of
3:51those situations where that night they
3:56supposedly got into an altercation that
3:59Darren says you know this visit that she
4:02says this is that separation gets
4:04brought up supposed to bleed and then
4:07all this happens on that night I guess
4:08plates were being thrown by there and
4:10all this there's a lot going on belly of
4:14the beast so there's all these other
4:16things that are going on and I think
4:18that at the time it wasn't registered to
4:20Darlie that that there could be involved
4:22in some mysterious stuff that he was
4:24setting up these scams for people to
4:26steal his card he was perhaps you know
4:29I'm gonna set up a track for her because
4:30one of my main things is all this is
4:33going on okay
4:34we know that Darlie had a $250,000
4:38life-insurance policy
4:40now each of the boys only had a $5,000
4:42that's barely enough to bury them
4:44however if and we need to make sure we
4:49need to have those verify that there was
4:51a clause saying that if one of the
4:53parents had died you know that they
4:55would receive $800,000 so we need to
5:00figure out what's really going on with
5:01that either way we know for sure that he
5:03had taken out an insurance policy and
5:05that was like one of the things payment
5:07bull okay they're over here not paying
5:09bills and doing this they're having a
5:10rough time getting lungs doing this and
5:12that but we know that that was paid and
5:14we know that that is a major motivator
5:17money is a major and what's going on
5:19with RT what would be her motivation um
5:22oh she's superficial she was so consumed
5:24and worried about herself well if that's
5:28true why would she buy ice cream for the
5:33entire neighborhood why would she take
5:34not only her kids but all their friends
5:37every week to the theater we all know
5:40expensive that can be why did she do
5:42these little things as a mom these two
5:44little things that you would do if
5:46you're so consumed with yourself that's
5:48not what these rich consumed people do
5:49what they do is they ship them off to
5:50the boarding school and they don't they
5:52wipe their hands with it and that's
5:53that's not what she's doing she really
5:55loved her children you see her
5:58consistently everyone will tell you yeah
6:00she loved her kids yes she loves her
6:02kids
6:02on both sides now I do think that she
6:06was dealing with some postpartum
6:07depression I think that after Drake was
6:09born yeah she needs to admit yeah there
6:11was postpartum they kind of downplayed
6:13it but
6:16one of the most troubling very
6:21personally I felt would be that she did
6:24do it and that it would it would have
6:27been a psychotic break it would have
6:29been everything the finances it would
6:33have been there and it would have been
6:34the infidelity it would have been the
6:37bickering fighting that not being able
6:39to go on the vacation she wanted to go
6:41maybe she wasn't able to do the things
6:43that she had wanted to do okay why why
6:49slash yourself in your throat why why do
6:52like this very violent way of doing
6:56these you can read us look at the
6:58difference betwen you have every gates
7:02okay we have there's just so many but
7:05you can read it over it you Susan Smith
7:08ground it we could say Casey Anthony we
7:11could call whatever you want but I do
7:12believe the sheet - yeah I think that
7:15then you have these hot car incidents
7:18you have a lot of these of gun incidents
7:22but what you're not seeing a lot of this
7:23woman is stabbed and their children stab
7:25themselves okay what you're seeing is
7:27then kind of
7:29you know if they're gonna do it he's a
7:31gun or something like that something of
7:33that nature and here she is with you
7:37know she's having defensive wounds she's
7:39having the extensive bruising which
7:41they're gonna try to downplay there is
7:43the the neck obviously the laceration
7:46here we have should have stabbed in the
7:48shoulder and just all around you can
7:51just tell she beat up she's really beat
7:53up for me okay your whole point is okay
7:59I'm gonna kill myself
8:00I'm gonna take out my kids whatever why
8:02do defensive wounds
8:03why call for help why not wait till
8:07they're dead why would you call and
8:09they're still alive that doesn't make
8:11sense because we know that her youngest
8:13was fighting he was crawling one of the
8:17damning things I think for her is
8:19throughout this whole day and call she's
8:22not once like hey where's my youngest
8:23where's my baby
8:25I have three children where's my child
8:27no oh you're not getting that from her
8:29that's not what she's saying
8:31dami it's very damning and then when you
8:34have little things okay you notice he
8:38was stabbed four times okay we know that
8:40he's basically trying to get away you
8:44can see he's dragging himself away now I
8:48don't know about you but for me I feel
8:51like I'm very close to my child that
8:54child be trying to come me my daughter
8:56become your child wouldn't be trying to
8:58go away from me that doesn't make sense
8:59unless
9:01you were the last thing that they're
9:03seeing near the things that they're
9:04seeing right as they're dying and if
9:06that's true you have the Lisa Gibbens
9:09show okay it's a mighty show but if you
9:12want to go and research it and look down
9:14there and see one of the jurors comes on
9:17and what she is making her argument if
9:19she's stating that the grooving
9:25what if Devon was fighting what if that
9:28significant kickin
9:30he's fighting and what we know is that
9:33Devan did have stab wound on his
9:35buttocks okay and that could just be
9:37from the person you know he was just
9:40kicking fighting and going on we really
9:42don't know but I think that it's clear
9:45that he did I think that all this is
9:49going on in this bizarre that Darren is
9:51upstairs and he doesn't care nothing to
9:54the dog
9:54you don't hear nothing nothing that
9:56Darlie she doesn't hear nothing she's
9:58not waking up somebody added them and
10:02something stinks and I think Darren it's
10:05super sketchy and I think that he's kind
10:08of just slid under the radar because
10:11Darlie is just she's just unable to keep
10:15her story straight and unless it comes
10:18down to
10:21maybe she was coming up and if you are
10:23you're kind they're not gonna be
10:24remembering everything that's going on
10:26you're gonna be kind of in and out of it
10:28you know they're initially going in and
10:30they're going in as they're thinking
10:32it's some type of they're trying to save
10:35lives
10:35okay that's what they're doing they're
10:37not trying to preserve evidence they're
10:39not you making sure that everything
10:40they're trying to get these people and
10:42they're trying to save their lives and I
10:43understand that but okay don't act later
10:47on like oh you know that didn't happen
10:50and everything was just the evidence is
10:53you know as best as it can because we
10:56know that there's people running in
10:58people running out we know that there's
11:00not only the police force you have
11:02paramedics we know that everybody was
11:04chaos okay
11:05it was super chaos and kind of right up
11:09from the get-go they're like okay
11:10darling you know there's no justice
11:13there's no investigation there's no hey
11:16you know this this could be something
11:21else I think that they were right to
11:23call in somebody bigger they called it
11:26crumb okay so he gets their Khurana
11:29Jane crumb okay so he gets there and he
11:32he's retired he knows what he's talking
11:35about
11:35okay he is retired but he doesn't know
11:37it's talking about and he state like
11:39something it's not right this is not an
11:41intruder somebody from inside this house
11:44and I think that that might have been
11:47true but to only focus in on Darlie was
11:51not that I don't think that would be the
11:53way to handle it I think you gather all
11:55the information all the evidence and
11:57then we'll get a clearer picture we can
11:59piece it together I can't just say oh
12:01you know I think it was this person I'm
12:03gonna gather every piece of information
12:04just in evidence so I can build this
12:07story I'm gonna ignore any other leads
12:11or anything like that but you know one
12:13of the damning things is there's no
12:14footprints right now
12:15why is there no footprints unless think
12:19about it if Darlie is drugged
12:22knocked out whatever all this is going
12:24on what if he helped them get out what
12:28if he's part of it what if he's the one
12:30who did it
12:31there's so many questions what about
12:32this song how the hell did this suck it
12:36all these guards away from their house
12:37and their Satan that that there was too
12:42nice okay when you go through the
12:43transcripts and you read in everything
12:45that's going on you're hearing that
12:47there's two knives okay this is a big
12:48problem for prosecutor this is a big
12:50problem for them because why because
12:52what they're stating is that she planted
12:54the song she did this and that she did
12:56that okay but why is there only blood of
12:59little thing diamond dirt that's what
13:02they found on the the knife why it
13:05doesn't
13:05make sense unless there was another
13:07weapon and in which case where is that
13:10weapon
13:10what happened where'd it go we need to
13:15go into why I think dermis sketchy
13:17because I'm not just over here accusing
13:20somebody this man he lost his family and
13:24that's that's a sad thing and if he
13:25wasn't involved
13:26that's super sad but the fact that he
13:28was setting up scams and doing these
13:30things you were setting your family up
13:31for possibly something bad going wrong
13:34and the fact that you live in this big
13:35old house got all this money okay but
13:38you can't set an alarm
13:39okay you can't you know what I mean like
13:41it doesn't make sense that they went
13:45through all these they had them alarmed
13:46to have this they have a little light
13:47they go to up but none of it was said
13:49nothing bit was working dogs not working
13:51um called [ __ ] so we know that there
13:57was a black car spotted in the
13:58neighborhood that night and a week prior
14:00we know that there was cut screens
14:02throughout the neighborhood we know that
14:04there are other cases the burglary going
14:06on in the neighborhood okay and for some
14:10reason please don't want to hear it they
14:12don't want to hear the neighbors coming
14:13forward and saying yeah there's some
14:14weird stuff that's been going on there
14:15no no we know dang whoa now Darren
14:19Darren Darren Darren okay okay so what
14:24his being is it's he's
14:26if you're gonna get our diary how can
14:29you just sleep through this hacking
14:30there and sleep through this it doesn't
14:31make sense
14:32okay there's these two adults in this
14:34home one of them's gashed up bruised up
14:39another one's just up fine sleeping off
14:42now though Drake didn't have an
14:44insurance policy and we know that later
14:46he would go on to live with Karen's mom
14:50okay so he didn't keep the youngest
14:53neither now I know he had a lot going on
14:57and he I don't think that he just felt
14:58like it was for the best and the put in
15:00the authority probably felt like it was
15:02for the best and I understand that but
15:05it would just seem like if that was all
15:07I had left
15:08I was hold on so tight my biggest
15:15problems my number one issue where is
15:19baby Drake she's not asking nobody's
15:22asking where the heck is waiting to
15:23drink and I'm kind of dumbfounded I
15:26don't understand and I don't understand
15:28that when all this is going on she's on
15:30the phone with the police I do think
15:32that she was running to get in town I
15:33think that she was trying her best I
15:35think so she was in a state of shock I
15:36think that Darin being able to run
15:38across the street worship he's over
15:40there changing clothes we don't know
15:44what evidence was were sure we don't
15:45know whey costume which we don't know
15:47we'll never know partly because
15:51the way it just happened it was just
15:53everything people were not used that
15:55this is a small town okay most of these
15:57police officers probably never even
15:58doubt that homicide that a lot of triple
16:00homicide and in the fashion that it was
16:03carried out was extremely and I think
16:10the the the biggest problem is true
16:15during why why would someone come in
16:17your home what were they looking for
16:19now they had money so she has jewelry on
16:23somewhat of a display you know Rolex
16:26jewelry all this none of which was taken
16:29expensive items throughout the home
16:31which we're not taking in your dumb
16:34family they're wondering why me what's
16:37happening what's going on and you know
16:40one of the things I think that is is
16:42that maybe they were there for their
16:45Darlie and the voice okay they weren't
16:48supposed to do anything that was what
16:50they're taking more lives and they were
16:51taking the lives for money and it's it's
16:54sad but it's a possibility but my whole
16:58point is is that reasonable doubt is
16:59that little piece of
17:02that just makes everything not right the
17:06prosecutors there's three don't out of
17:08Darlie heard stories on that up it's
17:12somewhere in the great it's in the
17:13middle and what we know is that Darlie
17:16took we know that she did take a
17:18polygraph but we know is that she was
17:21like oh it's inconclusive I don't know
17:26I'm sorry
17:27when you should be fighting by I would
17:29take I want to take another one give me
17:31another chance give me another chance to
17:33clear my name I would be fighting every
17:34second to get another one done to get it
17:37to get it wouldn't respect I don't know
17:39I don't know what it said you know no
17:42what the hell did this end I want to do
17:44another one come on
17:46like Darren Chuck what are you that we
17:54know that Darren took one okay and we
17:56know that some of the questions that he
17:58was asked is did he want his white [ __ ]
18:01did he arrange an attempted homicide did
18:04you stab your wife could you identify
18:06who stabbed his family we know you know
18:11the killer do you know who stabbed our
18:13Lee did you stab her so the questions
18:16that they're asking and sometimes come
18:18back deceptive okay so we know that the
18:21light the person who's given the lie
18:24detector is telling him you're lying I
18:26know you're lying
18:27you did want your wife did it was for
18:29money and we'll never really know but
18:33you have to think what was the person
18:36who was administering the part was there
18:38you know whether the conspiracy against
18:40Tim or did he know is she
18:43you know like yeah I do know who did it
18:45maybe he was being deceptive in the
18:47sense of yeah I mean it was Darlie or he
18:49was deceptive Essenza I do I set up a
18:52hit on my family you know that he knew
18:54exactly what the hell was going on and
18:57we're gonna talk about his friend berry
18:58fact okay the one who stole his Jaguar
19:00okay we're talking this guy they were
19:02relatively new to money okay they're
19:04novo Beach if you will because we know
19:07that he and her were young they were
19:10really young when they first got
19:11together and got married they were
19:12married in 88 so their children are come
19:15along 89 so what were you're seeing is
19:17is there quickly
19:20quickly moving on it okay and you're
19:22having a neighborhood these people are
19:24in their thirties forties times work the
19:26majority of their life to get where
19:27they're at and you have these young kids
19:29coming in and just flashing money by a
19:31neighborhood everything for the
19:33neighborhood doing this and that and
19:34you're wondering how is that possible
19:36this guy can't be on the up-and-up it
19:37can't just be you know he has this test
19:40testing company and he's tested this but
19:43we know that he had government contracts
19:45we know that it was a very successful
19:47business while it was running but it
19:51seemed that the business had been shut
19:52down for some time when they're
19:55investigating everything like that had
19:57been shut down
19:58so basically money was going down at
20:00home the status was going down you know
20:03you you have this big old long vote you
20:05want to take out we had a Jaguar
20:07big ol fancy house all the you know the
20:11riches of the world but
20:16you know some people are still not happy
20:19and what we see is that Darby was still
20:20not happy that she was suffering from
20:22depression she was having second
20:25thoughts and everything like that and
20:27that's that's not something that doesn't
20:29mean she killed her family that this
20:31information murder them when you read
20:32her notes she's talking to harmful on
20:35herself and it's very peculiar that
20:42after all this is happening all this is
20:44going down that Darlene is basically
20:52she's taken off he's allowed to wash up
20:56change up go on then then they
20:57fingerprint him then they do this then
20:59they do that she's over here in critical
21:01care she's over here and there and he is
21:04kind of you know basically allowed to
21:07just kind of go his own way and I think
21:10that that was kind of a mistake because
21:12at that point everyone should have been
21:15a suspect and I know that she had stated
21:17intruder but I just really think that
21:20they you know he do that and they did
21:25take his clothes but then at that point
21:27she wanted to see drink why not why not
21:29when all this is going on I just it's
21:32hard to believe that that that's true so
21:36we're also gonna go into her injuries
21:39were expensive okay she was a
21:42right-handed okay and she would have had
21:46to do it left hand so that's even more
21:47tricky she does have the defensive
21:50wounds
21:50there was unselected body bloody towels
21:54that were around never obtained then you
21:58have the two lead detectives pleading
21:59the fifth okay we have a court reporter
22:01pleading the fifth we have thirty
22:04thousand errors in her thing she's
22:07maintaining her innocence we don't see
22:09that a lot like a lot of time so see
22:10these women and even on phone calls of
22:12it oh you know I did I'm lying or or
22:17their story unravels relatively quickly
22:20and and what we see is is that Darren
22:24was one of these schemes okay in 93 94
22:27okay and in March in April in 96 he went
22:31to the Father stepfathers both of Darlie
22:34routier and was basically stating that
22:37he was dead broke and he needed someone
22:40to try to come in clear out this clearly
22:42furniture and everything you collect the
22:45money then he'd come back get all the
22:47stuff load his house up with it and be
22:49back to good it's kind of sad that he
22:54was kind of scheming behind her back and
22:55doing all this I don't think that she
22:58didn't know but I think that he was used
23:00to having this money now he you know he
23:03gave her this wife and she would become
23:04accustomed to him as well you know they
23:07wanted to keep that charade up and we
23:10need to discuss
23:11doesn't Mulder okay so we have Darrin's
23:16he has lawyer Ford already for him
23:20conflict of interest he can't work for
23:22both back trial he can't really look
23:26over it there and give that reasonable
23:27doubt he couldn't really raise those
23:29questions that had needed be answered
23:31and asked because he was unable to do so
23:33because of his it was his client that
23:36was your but you're having he what he
23:39did was messy and he should not have
23:41been and this is a murder trial okay so
23:43we need to have every every possible
23:46theory out there and allowed to be
23:49examined why is that why cause right
23:52like why not wait till they're dead why
23:54not do it a different way
23:57why not kill Drake he's the most
23:59burdensome he's the young one he's the
24:01one keeping her up at night supposedly
24:02why not um and let's go ahead and talk
24:07about the notes women from the nurses
24:10okay they're contradicting they think
24:14they were a little kind of brainstorm
24:15together and it's been their stories are
24:20then they're changing it's a little bit
24:23sketch you know within twenty minutes
24:26they're saying she's guilty you know
24:28she's definitely did it I think that
24:30some negatives are the lie detector
24:35inconclusive horseshit there's the
24:38graduation of Darrin there's there was a
24:40party that was going on for Darrin it
24:42was about Darrin or Darrin Darrin
24:43graduated this was for him
24:45supposedly start he didn't like that she
24:48wanted the attention on her and what she
24:50made a bigger thing and basically let
24:53stormed off and in had said that she had
24:55been you know ready but raised in August
24:58that Picon
24:59so basically took everything off him and
25:01everything was put back on her and
25:03supposably that wasn't even true so I
25:06don't know then you haven't folks say
25:09that the kids are running around
25:10unattended back and then - you could let
25:12your kids run around specially was like
25:13cold sack of neighborhood where you know
25:16everybody they just they would just let
25:18them run so I mean I'm not really
25:20persuaded by that but I think that you
25:24know those just something little boys
25:25did at the time you went outside when
25:27you weren't at school yeah you went out
25:29we would go outside we'd be outside we
25:31were number you know that's how it
25:32wasn't but the okay dang it Domino so
25:39the dog okay the one that nips the
25:41officer okay this is the one that was
25:43upstairs supposedly with Drake okay all
25:46this commotion is going on that dog must
25:47have been going crazy and I'm telling
25:49you that they must have been going crazy
25:51and no one wondered okay why did nobody
25:55see the bruises at the
25:57at the hospital they said that they
26:01didn't see him but that it could take up
26:03to 24 48 hours okay maybe they just
26:08didn't see him so we'll give her the
26:09benefit of the doubt maybe that's just
26:11not something that but one thing that we
26:15know for sure has been paying blood
26:16stain on the back of the shirt running
26:19down not not should not be there but we
26:23know that some of that evidence it was
26:26just chaos you know that some stuff was
26:27put not properly taken care of so
26:30there's still that reasonable doubt even
26:32if it wasn't that one piece of evidence
26:34it would call about so many other things
26:36of them is collecting there's one of the
26:41things I found most damning is when
26:45she's drawing a picture she's going over
26:47she's trying to regress trying to figure
26:49out what happened and she's drawn a
26:51picture of herself but she doesn't draw
26:53eyes and I know that there has to be
26:55some psychology to that it just it's
26:59like she didn't want to see what was
27:00happening or just was refusing to
27:03remember that she had done it so with
27:08her aggressive when she goes back with
27:11the regressive thing you know she says
27:13you know that wouldn't we do this it's
27:14going to come out and I'll have five key
27:17points of information
27:19prove that it was an intruder but you
27:22know that's not really that's not really
27:25what happens so we'll go over the fight
27:29the fight that they had that night of
27:31separation no footprints one of the
27:34craziest things are they're buried in
27:36one coffin okay when you're reading the
27:40autopsy when you're reading all this
27:42that and you'll have to correct me if
27:46I'm wrong if you're somebody who does
27:47this but they were saying that hands
27:48were handed to them back and I've never
27:50even heard it such as these so there was
27:53no fingerprints taken of the boys
27:54there's footprints but no fingerprints
27:56so when we're finding different
27:58fingerprints throughout the house that
27:59maybe perhaps could have been something
28:02they could have used for the intruder
28:04theory they're inconclusive because
28:06we'll never know now because the boys
28:08were not properly it was not properly
28:10done okay so that's another piece
28:12they're kind of just glossing over like
28:14oh it's not a big deal but it is a big
28:17deal okay it is alright and then we'll
28:22go over some other key things okay so
28:25she was on bit things back in the my
28:28knees a lot of these house moments
28:30that's what they did that's what they
28:31took you know kind of a diet thing and
28:32when she was tested positive for
28:34amphetamines supposedly that was was
28:36giving her the positive I don't know we
28:40know that those are now are not safe for
28:43you those kind of things so maybe it was
28:45messing with her mind okay we know that
28:47maybe perhaps possibly she was going
28:51through a psychotic issue and she had
28:53had her son you know maybe she had had
28:55it wasn't just baby
