Full transcript
- 0:02ABBY LEE (VOICE OVER): Previously on "Dance Moms."
- 0:04It's the same choreography, exactly to the T.
- 0:06KELLY: It's never happened before.
- 0:07She's not letting them watch each other.
- 0:08Melissa will lose her [bleep] if both of her kids lose.
- 0:10You ruined your entire number.
- 0:13In the first place, Too Hot to Handle.
- 0:15[cheers and applause]
- 0:16One of our judges, they gave Chloe a 99.10.
- 0:19She actually had a 96.6.
- 0:21That means that the overall winner would have been Maddie.
- 0:25CHRISTI: You're lying. You're lying!
- 0:27[bleep] you.
- 0:28You know nothing!
- 0:30ABBY LEE (VOICE OVER): Coming up on "Dance Moms."
- 0:31All of you had the opportunity to come and see me in LA.
- 0:34Maddie came out.
- 0:36We made an agreement about what we're
- 0:37going to do with the girls.
- 0:38We all stood by that, and you didn't.
- 0:40I know, storm out--
- 0:42Oh, I am storming out, because this is not being brought up.
- 0:44CHRISTI: Feel me!
- 0:44MELISSA: Screw you!
- 0:46Melissa, she doesn't know what she's doing.
- 0:47No more recess!
- 0:49I want to see your character.
- 0:51Maybe just one of you will be gone to soon.
- 0:54Maddie's upset.
- 0:55Maddie's upset, so don't play the game.
- 0:56I'm done.
- 0:57I'm so over it!
- 0:59[theme music]
- 1:01Get up, get on the floor.
- 1:05My world is with my girls.
- 1:08Living on the dance floor.
- 1:11[music playing]
- 1:16ABBY LEE: Come on, let's go!
- 1:17Move it, move it, move it!
- 1:18Let's go!
- 1:19Come on, guys.
- 1:21Come on, everybody.
- 1:23So did you miss me?
- 1:26GIRLS: Yes.
- 1:28Really?
- 1:29GIRLS: Yes.
- 1:29ABBY LEE: OK.
- 1:30You guys, I missed.
- 1:31I missed all of my students here.
- 1:33However, the moms, not so much.
- 1:37So while you guys were in the studio--
- 1:40well, some of you were in the studio practicing, learning,
- 1:44training.
- 1:45I was doing "Abby's Dance Competition."
- 1:47I was in California learning new things.
- 1:50I was bettering myself as a teacher and a choreographer.
- 1:54All of you had the opportunity to come and see me in LA.
- 1:58Maddie came out.
- 1:59You worked with the kids, and you performed a new solo.
- 2:06Did you have a good time?
- 2:07Yes.
- 2:08ABBY LEE: Yes.
- 2:10CHRISTI: Over break, all the moms
- 2:11made a pact that none of us would send our girls to Abby's
- 2:14West Coast competition because of the way
- 2:15she treats the girls.
- 2:16And when the whole judging mishap took place,
- 2:19she handled that terribly.
- 2:21ABBY LEE: I'm anxious to get started.
- 2:23I want to see what all you've learned.
- 2:25And I've checked the roll books.
- 2:26I know who has been in class, and I
- 2:29know who hasn't been in class.
- 2:31Let's go through the pyramid.
- 2:33We can all remember back then.
- 2:36Brooke.
- 2:37Brooke, the faculty here didn't see too much of you
- 2:40while I was away.
- 2:43I was recording a CD, so I was gone all week too.
- 2:47Brooke is very passionate about her singing.
- 2:50And over the break, we decided to record a CD for her.
- 2:53And I just feel like Abby should be happy
- 2:55that Brooke is doing this.
- 2:56And instead, we come back, and she puts her
- 2:58at the bottom of the pyramid.
- 3:00Paige, do you feel that you've improved?
- 3:04Yeah, I think my turns have been getting better,
- 3:05because we've had normal classes,
- 3:07so that I've been able to work on them more.
- 3:10ABBY LEE: And next, we have Kendall.
- 3:14Kendall, do you think you've been improving?
- 3:17Yes.
- 3:18I have a private with James every week,
- 3:20and he works on my turns.
- 3:21And he says that they're getting much better.
- 3:23ABBY LEE: OK.
- 3:24And Nia.
- 3:27What about you?
- 3:28I've been taking four extra classes every single week.
- 3:31I think that's great.
- 3:33Good for you.
- 3:33Nice to hear that.
- 3:35It's a refreshing change to have Abby say something
- 3:38nice and positive about Nia's dance training.
- 3:41But unfortunately, Nia is still at the bottom
- 3:43of Abby's pyramid.
- 3:44ABBY LEE: Moving up we have, Mackenzie.
- 3:47Mackenzie, you didn't win.
- 3:51You let Asia beat you.
- 3:52In first place, Too Hot to Handle.
- 3:55[cheers and applause]
- 3:57It's this.
- 3:59And it's that confidence.
- 4:01You let your face go blank.
- 4:02Are you cute?
- 4:04Yes.
- 4:05But you're getting a little too old for cute.
- 4:07I'm going to really push Mackenzie hard this week.
- 4:09If she's going to beat Asia, she has to do what it takes.
- 4:13And now, Chloe.
- 4:15You had a great performance.
- 4:18You went out on stage, you looked beautiful,
- 4:20your mom was beaming, they announced you as the winner.
- 4:24EMCEE: Entry number 19 from Abby Lee Dance Company, You Can!
- 4:28ABBY LEE: The scores were not right.
- 4:29You did not win, you were second.
- 4:32Did you dance beautifully?
- 4:34Yes.
- 4:35But you have to work on your technique.
- 4:37Abby would rather go on a diet than say that Chloe deserved
- 4:40to be at the top of the pyramid.
- 4:41And next, we have Asia.
- 4:45Now, Asia is not here.
- 4:47Asia will be back in pyramid next week.
- 4:49And on top of the pyramid, we have Maddie.
- 4:52[applause]
- 4:53ABBY LEE: Congratulations, Maddie.
- 4:55You gave a flawless performance.
- 4:57And when they announced Chloe as the winner,
- 4:59you didn't even flinch.
- 5:00You were thrilled for your classmate.
- 5:03This week, you will be traveling to Syracuse, New York.
- 5:08The competition is In10sity Dance.
- 5:11Now, this week's assignments.
- 5:14Maddie, you will be doing a top solo.
- 5:17[applause]
- 5:19Maddie's solo this week is tap,
- 5:21and she's going to be so amazing, because she's
- 5:23a phenomenal tap dancer.
- 5:25Mackenzie, you will also be doing a solo this week.
- 5:28[applause]
- 5:29You will not be performing with the group.
- 5:31You will be doing a straight acrobatic gymnastic routine.
- 5:35This is your last shot before Asia gets back.
- 5:38Abby's pushing me to dance more
- 5:40like Maddie and the big kids, but I think I can do it.
- 5:43I have one more solo to give out.
- 5:50And due to what happened last time,
- 5:53that solo will go to Chloe.
- 5:55[applause]
- 5:59I know that it's unfortunate, the whole Maddie-Chloe solo
- 6:02thing.
- 6:03Mistakes happen.
- 6:04I'm giving Chloe another opportunity
- 6:06to go right up against Maddie.
- 6:08Chloe, you better start concentrating on your hip-hop,
- 6:11because it is hip-hop.
- 6:14CHRISTI: Abby gave Maddie a top solo, which, clearly, Maddie
- 6:17excels in tap.
- 6:18She's had tap classes for years.
- 6:19And she assigns Chloe hip-hop, which we don't even have
- 6:22hip-hop classes at the studio.
- 6:23She's so unfair.
- 6:25The group routine is called Gone Too Soon.
- 6:30And of course, we're referring to all those Hollywood
- 6:32tragedies.
- 6:34Nia, you will portray Whitney Houston.
- 6:39Kendall, I want to see the sass and spunk of Selena.
- 6:45Sorry, Kendall, you are not playing Selena Gomez.
- 6:49I'm talking about the Grammy-winning Latin artist,
- 6:53Selena.
- 6:54Brooke will be inspired by Amy Winehouse.
- 6:59Ah!
- 7:00Paige, Anna Nicole Smith.
- 7:02JILL: Ooh!
- 7:05Your buddy, Chloe, will portray Marilyn Monroe.
- 7:10No!
- 7:11That's not fair!
- 7:14And Maddie, who else is there but Princess Di?
- 7:18Ooh, I love her.
- 7:21ABBY LEE: All right.
- 7:21You can go.
- 7:22Girls, spread apart.
- 7:23[music playing]
- 7:29Let's go from the top.
- 7:30Let's see what we have. Let's all dance it.
- 7:32Hit it! [music playing]
- 7:32I hear echoes inside myself.
- 7:33ABBY LEE: Come on, push.
- 7:34Get in the ball of that foot, right off the floor.
- 7:36One, two, three, four, five.
- 7:39Yay!
- 7:40Good girl!
- 7:41This week, the routine is entitled Gone Too Soon.
- 7:46This is a contemporary routine.
- 7:48It has very intricate timing, and it's also characterization.
- 7:53These girls need to become one with their character.
- 7:57And they better bring it on, because everybody
- 7:59in that audience, including the judges,
- 8:02needs to easily recognize their character.
- 8:04I got to let you go in a few minutes.
- 8:06I want to not keep choreographing.
- 8:08I want to go over the story.
- 8:09You need to tell the audience and the judges
- 8:12they shouldn't know who you are because of the costume.
- 8:15They should know who you are because you're
- 8:17telling the story.
- 8:18Do your homework.
- 8:19Look on the internet, Google it.
- 8:21Figure it out.
- 8:22Or maybe just one of you will be gone too soon from the Abby Lee
- 8:25Dance Company.
- 8:27KELLY: But what shall we have Abby be?
- 8:29Well, who can Abby be?
- 8:31Who's the woman who has the snakes coming out of her head?
- 8:33Medusa!
- 8:34JILL: Oh, no, Nefertiti. - Ursula!
- 8:35Ursula! She's Ursula.
- 8:36The sea witch.
- 8:37Oh.
- 8:38Ursula was the octopus.
- 8:40The big black--
- 8:41CHRISTI: She wears black and she steals little beautiful
- 8:43children's talent. MELISSA: Isn't she?
- 8:45Yes. She's Ursula.
- 8:46HOLLY: She's a cartoon. She's not real.
- 8:47And she keeps it in a jar around her neck.
- 8:50CHRISTI: She steals talent.
- 8:51JILL: She's Ursula.
- 8:52She is Ursula.
- 8:54JILL: Oh, golly.
- 8:56ABBY LEE: Hello.
- 8:57Are you ready for hip-hop?
- 8:59Yes?
- 9:00Is Payton teaching her?
- 9:02Now, remember, the story is if you want to be a celebrity,
- 9:06you want to be a pop star, you want to move to LA and do all
- 9:08these things, you better be able to be a hip-hop dancer.
- 9:12[music playing]
- 9:15So Chloe is doing a hip-hop routine entitled beautiful.
- 9:19It's more of a jazz routine with hip-hop elements,
- 9:23hip-hop costume, hip-hop style.
- 9:27I want her to succeed with this hip-hop routine.
- 9:29And I'm bringing Payton in.
- 9:31Because when Peyton hits hip-hop, she hits it hard.
- 9:36KELLY: I think Chloe should say to her, why am I doing hip-hop?
- 9:39I'm not a hip-hopper.
- 9:40Whatever.
- 9:41Again, this is just a way to humiliate Chloe.
- 9:43Sometimes, this is the best dance,
- 9:44because there's no pressure.
- 9:46You know you're not going to win?
- 9:49So you go out there, and have fun, and you enjoy.
- 9:51Holly, is that what you're saying?
- 9:52You say Chloe is not going to win with hip-hop?
- 9:54They tend to be very competitive.
- 9:56It's so clear that Abby only thinks of Maddie as her star,
- 9:59that Chloe is not allowed to come anywhere near that.
- 10:02That's why Maddie got tap this week, and Chloe got hip-hop.
- 10:05You need to isolate this movement.
- 10:07The isolation, the shoulder, the rib cage.
- 10:10That's what hip-hop is.
- 10:11That's why a lot of people, trained beautiful dancers
- 10:14can't do it, because it's that sudden change of direction.
- 10:16Believe me, I was sitting next to the guru of hip-hop,
- 10:19and I learned something.
- 10:20Maybe if you would have come out to LA,
- 10:22you would have learned something to.
- 10:24CHRISTI: You know what?
- 10:26I think is really sad is that you point-blank said to all
- 10:28of us that when the children were invited that you were not
- 10:31going to send Maddie, but then you screwed the group.
- 10:34We made agreement about what we were
- 10:35going to do with the girls.
- 10:37We all stood by that, and you didn't.
- 10:39Melissa, if I would have disobeyed the group,
- 10:43and went, and had Brooke do it--
- 10:44CHRISTI: Brooke would be in much better standing.
- 10:46--Brooke wouldn't have been at the bottom of the pyramid this
- 10:48week, I can guarantee you that.
- 10:49But I didn't do that, because I'm a team player.
- 10:52You know What that's my choice as a mother.
- 10:55So basically, your choice as a mother is dance trumps all.
- 10:58Just to be clear, sneaky.
- 10:59[awkward chuckles]
- 11:00CHRISTI: Well--
- 11:01That's funny.
- 11:03Why is that funny?
- 11:04Because you know Christi sneaks all the time.
- 11:05You've said it.
- 11:06No, I'm saying I wouldn't do it.
- 11:08MELISSA: Oh, OK.
- 11:08What do I sneak about?
- 11:10What do you mean?
- 11:10You talk to everybody.
- 11:11Give me a break.
- 11:13If you could sleep with Abby, you would, and you know it.
- 11:14Oh, yeah.
- 11:15Oh, yeah.
- 11:17Well, that's how you tend to get ahead in life, Melissa.
- 11:19Oh, yeah, I sleep with everybody.
- 11:20You do, boss.
- 11:22I've never slept with my boss.
- 11:23Yes, you did.
- 11:24You married him.
- 11:25Yes, I married Greg after--
- 11:26Yeah, after you slept with him and had an affair when
- 11:28he had a wife. MELISSA: I did not!
- 11:29And you had a husband. - Guess what?
- 11:31I didn't sleep with him.
- 11:32And don't start with me again, Christi.
- 11:33JILL: You know what?
- 11:34I know, storm out.
- 11:35Oh, I am storming out, because this is not being brought up.
- 11:37CHRISTI: Feel me.
- 11:38MELISSA: Screw you.
- 11:39I did not sleep with my boss.
- 11:40You know what?
- 11:40You want to play those games?
- 11:42What's wrong?
- 11:43JILL: She has to live with the decisions she made.
- 11:46Like I'm not going to sit up here and make this easy on her.
- 11:48She didn't make it easy on any of those six little girls.
- 11:51JILL: No, but--
- 11:52CHRISTI: She knew she had that coming.
- 11:58[music playing]
- 12:04Hey, girls.
- 12:05How are you doing? MELISSA: Hey.
- 12:06Good.
- 12:07ABBY LEE: Good.
- 12:08After yesterday's blow out with Melissa
- 12:10and all of the other moms, I'm not
- 12:12sure what's really going on.
- 12:13But I am going to get to the bottom of it.
- 12:15Nobody is going to mess with Melissa.
- 12:17So what I need to know is what happened yesterday.
- 12:24Well, Christi starts screaming that--
- 12:27about I sleep with everybody to get my kids ahead.
- 12:31And I'm not taking crap like that, Abby.
- 12:32I'm done. ABBY LEE: I'm sorry.
- 12:33That has nothing--
- 12:34That just shows you--
- 12:35She's trash.
- 12:35ABBY LEE: --what she is.
- 12:37Because she goes to that level.
- 12:39But I don't--
- 12:40I'm not like that.
- 12:41I have lots of mean things to say about her,
- 12:43and I can't, because that's not my makeup.
- 12:46Christie fights dirty, and I don't.
- 12:48I think it's wrong, and I'm not like her,
- 12:51so I'm not going to act like her.
- 12:52I'm not white trash.
- 12:54[chuckles]
- 12:55Hello.
- 12:59If I were a betting woman, I would
- 13:01say that Melissa is probably talking to Abby about me.
- 13:05If I'm the most exciting thing that Abby and Melissa have
- 13:08to talk about, then they have a really, really sad life.
- 13:11If you feel that you don't want to sit up there
- 13:13and it's getting crazy, come down and work the front desk.
- 13:16MELISSA: OK.
- 13:17Come down and work at the store.
- 13:17MELISSA: I will.
- 13:18Or come and sit inside the room.
- 13:20I don't go for parents in the room,
- 13:21but if you can just sit in the corner
- 13:23quietly, or play the music, or something, that's fine with me.
- 13:26OK. That's fine.
- 13:27- All righty? - Yep, thank you.
- 13:28OK.
- 13:29I certainly wouldn't want to sit with them.
- 13:31So I invite her down into the studio.
- 13:33She should see what Mackenzie's doing.
- 13:35[music playing]
- 13:38Mackenzie is doing an acrobatic gymnastics routine entitled
- 13:42California Adventure.
- 13:44It's sassy and fun.
- 13:46Split!
- 13:46It's a bigger split!
- 13:48She does a whole lot of stuff in this number.
- 13:52She has to have the strength, the proper technique,
- 13:54and the stamina to get through this routine.
- 13:57You should be on a diagonal.
- 14:00Hi, Holly.
- 14:00Oh, hey, Hol.
- 14:02Hello, ladies.
- 14:03Did you see Melissa downstairs?
- 14:05CHRISTI: Of course, Melissa's avoiding the situation.
- 14:07It's what she does.
- 14:08She'd rather high downstairs and kiss Abby's ass
- 14:11than come upstairs and face the music with the rest of us.
- 14:13You know, she needs to just admit what she did
- 14:16and get over it.
- 14:17She had a meeting with Abby when I walked in.
- 14:19They were meeting in the store.
- 14:21Oh, in store.
- 14:21And they both went--
- 14:23and I just kept on going.
- 14:24Ah.
- 14:25And she's not up here, because, you know--
- 14:28even though she was the one who sent Maddie to dance for Abby,
- 14:32even though the teen all agreed not to do it,
- 14:35and she was wrong, she's punishing all of us.
- 14:39Own who you are.
- 14:40Don't sit here and say, I'm so nice,
- 14:42and my daughters are just amazing.
- 14:44You intentionally do things to hurt the other kids
- 14:49but then you claim you're a team player.
- 14:50You're not.
- 14:51You know, when it comes to Abby,
- 14:52she will do whatever she wants her to.
- 14:55Or getting Maddie a routine.
- 14:56And you said, because she, Abby, will catapult Maddie
- 14:59and Mackenzie to stardom.
- 15:01CHRISTI: Well, but it's--
- 15:01That's what it's all about.
- 15:02CHRISTI: But it's--
- 15:03So there's never going to be a chance--
- 15:05But here's the thing.
- 15:06You're teaching your kids that you step on everyone
- 15:09to get ahead, and that's not a good lesson to teach your kids.
- 15:12ABBY LEE: So let's go from the top.
- 15:14It has to be bigger.
- 15:14It's boring.
- 15:16Boring!
- 15:17Mackenzie is not looking too good.
- 15:19Mackenzie walked into this studio sweaty and out
- 15:24of breath.
- 15:25She walked in that way.
- 15:27Usually, that's how she walks out.
- 15:29Cartwheel.
- 15:30Cut, split, arch back.
- 15:32Why do I have to say that every time?
- 15:34Cut, split, arch back!
- 15:35It's one move.
- 15:36Dah-dah-dah-dah!
- 15:37Asia isn't here.
- 15:38This is Mackenzie's shot, but she's not giving me
- 15:41what I want.
- 15:42Melissa, she doesn't know what she's doing,
- 15:46she's out of breath, she can't remember one step
- 15:49from the next.
- 15:50No more recess!
- 15:52Why were you sunburned when you came in here?
- 15:54Were you outside at recess?
- 15:56Outside, running around, playing all day--
- 15:58I know.
- 15:59ABBY LEE: --and now, she's useless.
- 16:01That's why these kids need to be home-schooled.
- 16:03It's ridiculous.
- 16:04She is useless.
- 16:05What are you supposed to say when all the kids go
- 16:07to the playground?
- 16:08Sorry, my dance teacher said no kick ball.
- 16:10Abby doesn't want Mackenzie to play during recess.
- 16:12If it were up to Abby, Mackenzie wouldn't be allowed
- 16:14to have any friends at all.
- 16:15Well, you know, just because no one played with Abby at recess,
- 16:17doesn't mean she has to take it out on poor little Mackenzie.
- 16:20Why should Abby have any say-so when Melissa's kids play
- 16:25with friends?
- 16:26That's the whole reason I send my kids to this school
- 16:28is to have social interaction with other children.
- 16:31But Melissa will do it, and she'll
- 16:33pull her kid from school, and not have her do recess
- 16:35because Abby said so.
- 16:37ABBY LEE: Straddle.
- 16:38Not apron split, a straddle split.
- 16:39No, before the tag.
- 16:40You're doing a different every time you do it.
- 16:42MELISSA: You know, I'm sitting in there watching Mackenzie's
- 16:44rehearsal.
- 16:45I'm not looking at the other moms.
- 16:46I'm looking at my daughter.
- 16:47I can care less.
- 16:48All right, you understand what you're doing?
- 16:50Yes?
- 16:51ABBY LEE: All right, you're finished.
- 16:53Melissa, you can go.
- 16:56I think Melissa's coming up.
- 16:58[chuckles] Our gossip is over, ladies.
- 17:01[chuckles]
- 17:02I'm through avoiding the situation.
- 17:04The moms can talk behind my back all they want.
- 17:06They're just going to have to deal with it.
- 17:08I did nothing wrong.
- 17:11JILL: Oh, hello.
- 17:12HOLLY: Hi.
- 17:14How did it go?
- 17:15HOLLY: What was that about recess?
- 17:16No recess.
- 17:17All they do is play.
- 17:18How does Abby know what Mackenzie does?
- 17:20Because she asked her.
- 17:21And Mackenzie said, we played outside all day today.
- 17:23But what's wrong with that?
- 17:26She has no-- she's tired, and she's a mess.
- 17:29I'm like, I don't think--
- 17:30I thought she looked great.
- 17:31Sorry, but--
- 17:33You're certainly not going to let Chloe,
- 17:35doing a hip-hop dance, beat you.
- 17:37Really?
- 17:38Maddie is doing a tap solo.
- 17:40I am thrilled.
- 17:42She's a great tapper, it's a cute little number.
- 17:44It's called Me and You Against the World.
- 17:47And it's all about a housewife that woke up
- 17:50on the wrong side of the bed.
- 17:51She burnt the bacon and the pancakes.
- 17:53She spilled coffee on her husband.
- 17:55I mean, the whole nine yards.
- 17:57[music playing]
- 17:58I hope you understand.
- 18:00Call me up after a bad day of work.
- 18:04MADDIE: I love tapping.
- 18:05I've always been tapping ever since I was four.
- 18:08It's one of my best strengths.
- 18:12That's a good song.
- 18:13Yeah, it's a great solo.
- 18:14HOLLY: Yeah, it really is.
- 18:15I like the music.
- 18:17I thought Abby said she wasn't running Maddie's solo.
- 18:19She did.
- 18:20She told me that today when I walked in.
- 18:22That's what she told me.
- 18:24CHRISTI: I'm thinking she's going to keep her promise about
- 18:26not running Chloe's.
- 18:27KELLY: [laughs]
- 18:28Something just tells me maybe.
- 18:29That promise she might keep, but I'm--
- 18:31Melissa's not Chloe's mother so--
- 18:32of course, Chloe's not working on her solo.
- 18:34This is the way it goes here.
- 18:37[music playing]
- 18:43[applause]
- 18:45Abby, she make sure that nobody wins.
- 18:47And when Chloe did win, she made sure
- 18:48that she went to the judges and fixed their mistake.
- 18:51This score ended up being 97.5, 97 and 1/2.
- 18:56This should be 96.6.
- 19:03This is your winner.
- 19:05ABBY LEE: Maddie won everything.
- 19:07Melissa, Christi said, when she came in,
- 19:09you were having a meeting with Abby.
- 19:10What were you talking to her about?
- 19:12I wasn't having a meeting.
- 19:13I was talking to her.
- 19:14What about?
- 19:15None of your concern.
- 19:22Not that you care, because you hate my kids.
- 19:24So don't worry about it.
- 19:25Who said I hate your kids?
- 19:26MELISSA: It's none of your concern.
- 19:27My kids are not your concern, so don't worry about them.
- 19:31KELLY: We all told you though, Melissa--
- 19:32I don't-- I don't--
- 19:33I don't need to hear anything.
- 19:34But whenever--
- 19:35MELISSA: I don't need to hear.
- 19:36- Whenever-- - I really don't.
- 19:37JILL: --we talk to you about this--
- 19:38I don't care. JILL: --you said--
- 19:39I don't care.
- 19:41I'm over it.
- 19:41OK.
- 19:43But then you can't be mad at us for something you chose to do.
- 19:46For talking about my husband, it
- 19:47has nothing to do with my kids.
- 19:48JILL: No, I'm not talking about your husband.
- 19:50Oh, bull crap.
- 19:51I never said anything about your husband.
- 19:54What did I say about your husband?
- 19:55Nothing. I don't want to talk about it.
- 19:56But I want to know why you don't think we should say
- 19:58something to you when-- - I don't care.
- 19:59You already said something.
- 20:00JILL: --it was affecting our kids.
- 20:01Whatever.
- 20:03JILL: We just want you to live up to what you do.
- 20:06I told you what I was doing.
- 20:07And I'm done with it. - No, you didn't.
- 20:08MELISSA: I'm done talking.
- 20:09We called you and asked you about it.
- 20:10My kids, they come first.
- 20:11And I'm fine, I can handle my kids.
- 20:13I can take care of my kids.
- 20:15That's what we're doing with our kids.
- 20:16We're trying to protect them. - Then protect them.
- 20:18JILL: Because--
- 20:19MELISSA: That's your job.
- 20:20--you want against us and hurt them.
- 20:22I did not hurt your kids.
- 20:24- Yes, you did. - OK, whatever.
- 20:25I hurt your kids.
- 20:26I'm a bad person.
- 20:27Kill me.
- 20:29I'm sure you wish I would die in a car accident too.
- 20:31HOLLY: Oh, no, Melissa.
- 20:32Oh, my god.
- 20:39CHRISTI: Shall we belly up to the bar?
- 20:41Let's do it.
- 20:42I love when the moms finally break free of dance jail.
- 20:44You know, we get to hang out, we get to have drinks,
- 20:45you know, vent a little bit.
- 20:46I'll have a diet cola.
- 20:47WOMAN: Sure.
- 20:48Shoot, I was going to get that.
- 20:50She lives on the edge.
- 20:51I'll have the $100 martini.
- 20:53Is anyone really missing from the picture?
- 20:56No.
- 20:57We're all here.
- 20:58I could not believe earlier that Melissa
- 21:00said that we hope her and her kids died in a car crash.
- 21:03Yeah, I hate that.
- 21:04I hate, hate, hate that-- HOLLY: That was just crazy.
- 21:05That's crazy.
- 21:06If she really believes that, then we're in trouble.
- 21:07Who thinks that way?
- 21:08I don't know.
- 21:09That was crazy.
- 21:10I mean, if that's the way she feels,
- 21:11you know, I don't want to be her friend.
- 21:13Melissa sat there and told all of us--
- 21:14She wouldn't go.
- 21:15CHRISTI: She promised.
- 21:16What does that make you think?
- 21:17Because that makes me think that she doesn't really
- 21:19value our friendship.
- 21:20She's definitely made it out that dance
- 21:22is more important than school.
- 21:23If the only thing that's important to you in life
- 21:26is getting your kids ahead of other people in dance,
- 21:28don't sit upstairs and pretend you don't care.
- 21:32If your kids win or lose, own who you are.
- 21:35Yeah.
- 21:36Stop lying to our faces.
- 21:38Maddie had an hour with Abby, Mackenzie had two hours
- 21:41with Abby, and Chloe got none?
- 21:43If you can't see that's wrong, then you are really blind.
- 21:46You have a problem.
- 21:47The fundamental issue is your word.
- 21:50You know, friendship, what is it worth?
- 21:53And what has taught was that I can't trust everybody
- 21:57when they give their word.
- 22:00[music playing]
- 22:02ABBY LEE: Guys, come on.
- 22:03We're getting on a bus, we're going tomorrow.
- 22:05This is the first competition we've
- 22:07been back since I was gone.
- 22:10The group number is fine choreographically.
- 22:14But I don't see that skill of characterisation shining
- 22:18through.
- 22:19And your competition except exit.
- 22:21That was a hot mess.
- 22:23CHRISTI: I don't like sitting up here.
- 22:25I like sitting at the bar last night.
- 22:27The bar last night.
- 22:28That was way more fun than this.
- 22:29KELLY: That was way better.
- 22:31You should have came with us last night.
- 22:33I went home with my husband and kids.
- 22:37I couldn't care less if the moms went out to drink without me.
- 22:39I'm not much of a drinker.
- 22:41So I'd rather be home with my kids and my husband.
- 22:43We all talked about it.
- 22:44Jill was supposed to ask you.
- 22:46I was?
- 22:47Mackenzie wasn't feeling well.
- 22:49I didn't realize it was my job to invite Melissa.
- 22:58[music playing]
- 22:59Banging the walls for help.
- 23:02Some kind of malady--
- 23:04Chloe, you need to make sure you're that way a little bit
- 23:06more.
- 23:07Point your feet, Paige, in the middle of the stage.
- 23:08Foot underneath you.
- 23:09Foot underneath you.
- 23:11Some of the kids are still trying to remember what step
- 23:14comes next.
- 23:15Come on, kiddos.
- 23:16You have been doing this for three years.
- 23:20[suspenseful music]
- 23:23Hey, ladies.
- 23:24JILL: Hello. - Hey!
- 23:25How are you?
- 23:26I'm good.
- 23:27How are you?
- 23:28HOLLY: I'm hanging in there.
- 23:29Christi, by the way, Payton's going to stay 15 minutes late
- 23:32and help Chloe with her solo.
- 23:34Did Leslie just rear her ugly head again?
- 23:37I thought we got rid of her.
- 23:38Why is she back?
- 23:40You're sitting here listening to this woman,
- 23:42this drunk, say what she's saying.
- 23:44And you're sitting here--
- 23:44Call me a drunk again.
- 23:47You're not just sitting here and not telling us what you
- 23:50really-- like you are OK with it.
- 23:52So when we leave, you're not going to complain to Abby.
- 23:54If Abby asks Payton to dance with your kids,
- 23:57then I'm fine with it.
- 23:58We are in it 100%.
- 24:01Anyway, we'll see you around, ladies.
- 24:02All right, bye.
- 24:05Leslie's back.
- 24:06I think that she's been planning on trying
- 24:08to get her daughter in with this team since day one.
- 24:10Oh, I do think that's her plan.
- 24:11It's not often that people come up here just to say hello
- 24:15and be nice.
- 24:18She likes to stir the pot.
- 24:19CHRISTI: I have enough crazy dance moms
- 24:21to deal with sitting upstairs.
- 24:22I don't need to engage with two women who are clearly here
- 24:25just to pick a fight.
- 24:26We're all stocked up on crazy here.
- 24:28KELLY: Did you think at all, Melissa, about what we talked
- 24:31about?
- 24:32You understand where we're coming from?
- 24:34I got upset when you talk about my personal business,
- 24:37because it's--
- 24:38I didn't talk about your personal business.
- 24:39It's none of anybody's concern.
- 24:40But you sat here and you said, oh, you guys hate me.
- 24:43You hate my kids.
- 24:44I don't-- I never said--
- 24:46I never said you guys hate me and my kids.
- 24:49I know you don't like my kids, and that's fine.
- 24:51But that's not true.
- 24:52What we're trying to say to you, Melissa, is none of this
- 24:54has anything to do with Maddie or Mackenzie.
- 24:57- Right. - None of it.
- 24:58MELISSA: That's fine.
- 25:00If you don't want to be my friend anymore-- because I
- 25:01would do anything for your kid kids, and you know it.
- 25:03And I would do anything for your kids.
- 25:05Not any more, you won't I'm sure.
- 25:07I feel really lost.
- 25:08I'm torn between my friendships with my friends
- 25:11and my children's dance careers.
- 25:13Clearly, the most important thing in the world to you
- 25:16is if your kids win at dance over our friendship,
- 25:19over their friendships with the kids.
- 25:20You've made that quite clear, not in your words,
- 25:23but by your actions.
- 25:24And you have denied it for three years sitting here saying,
- 25:27I don't care if my kids win.
- 25:28So just sit here and own it.
- 25:30Say, you know what?
- 25:32I will do anything I need to do-- don't sit here and act
- 25:34like you're not a stage mom.
- 25:38ABBY LEE: Foot underneath you.
- 25:39Foot underneath you.
- 25:42JILL: What's going on in there?
- 25:44What is going on in there? - I don't know.
- 25:45I thought we were having a lesson, not
- 25:47a private conversation.
- 25:49OK.
- 25:50Dr. Holly might have a PhD in education,
- 25:53but Melissa has a PhD in kissing Abby's ass.
- 25:56[music playing]
- 26:03[upbeat music]
- 26:06[fans cheering]
- 26:13ABBY LEE: Thank you for coming.
- 26:16We're in Syracuse, New York.
- 26:17This is our first week back, so it's very
- 26:20important for the girls to win.
- 26:21If they want to prove themselves, and prove that they
- 26:23were working, and they were training,
- 26:25and they were in class, then they're going to win again.
- 26:27All right.
- 26:29Remember, this is the first competition back.
- 26:31This is it.
- 26:33Don't make me regret coming home.
- 26:35So ladies, we have three solos.
- 26:40Mackenzie, you're the first solo up.
- 26:42Then Chloe, your second.
- 26:44Then Maddie, your third.
- 26:46Maddie, are you ready?
- 26:46I had a different shirt, though.
- 26:49MELISSA: Maddie, come out.
- 26:51Yeah, OK.
- 26:52That's cute.
- 26:53I don't like the shirt.
- 26:54MELISSA: You don't?
- 26:55No, because this is competing.
- 26:56At this point, Abby and Team Melissa
- 26:58should just travel to competitions on their own.
- 27:00Because as it stands right now, we're
- 27:03just kind of the filler in between the Maddie dances.
- 27:06ABBY LEE: Let me see.
- 27:07Do some steps.
- 27:09I like the back of the shirt.
- 27:12I like the sleeves bouncing.
- 27:14I don't know what it is, but as soon as Abby comes back
- 27:16in town, I seem to get all sorts of flack for any attention
- 27:20that Maddie gets.
- 27:25Mackenzie, Asia's not here this week.
- 27:29I gave you the solo.
- 27:31If you bomb, she comes back next week, she gets the solo.
- 27:35I can count on her.
- 27:37She wins because of this, because of this.
- 27:43Mackenzie needs to nail her routine.
- 27:46With Asia gone, this is going to be her opportunity to win.
- 27:50Now, listen, you two.
- 27:51This is the first time that you're
- 27:54going up against each other since you
- 27:56did the same exact routine.
- 27:58[music playing]
- 27:59It takes a moment to break a butterfly.
- 28:04Unaware that's when you hear an angel cry.
- 28:08Now, you are doing polar opposites.
- 28:11So if you want to do a hip-hop dance next time
- 28:14and you want to go to tap dance in an hour and a half,
- 28:18we can do that too.
- 28:20Why shouldn't Chloe be able to do hip-hop?
- 28:22If she's going to work in this business
- 28:24as a professional dancer, she better
- 28:26make sure that her hip-hop is equal with everything else.
- 28:31All right, let's go.
- 28:32[music, cheers and applause]
- 28:39MELISSA: I'm happy Mackenzie has a solo this week.
- 28:41But Abby told Mackenzie, you have a solo this week
- 28:44because Asia is not here.
- 28:45Is it just her way of making Mackenzie work harder?
- 28:49EMCEE: All right, and to the In10sity
- 28:51stage is act number 11.
- 28:52It's a mini acro solo.
- 28:54Please welcome Mackenzie performing California
- 28:57Adventure.
- 28:58[cheers and applause]
- 29:03[music playing]
- 29:06Sunshine, I feel the energy.
- 29:08I need sunshine falling down on me.
- 29:11Now, sunshine, don't you hide away.
- 29:14I want sunshine each and every day, hey.
- 29:21[applause]
- 29:28Sunshine, I feel the energy.
- 29:31I need sunshine falling down on me now.
- 29:36Sunshine.
- 29:38[cheers and applause]
- 29:45ABBY LEE: Mackenzie looks great.
- 29:47Costume's adorable.
- 29:48I think her shot at winning this is really strong.
- 29:52CHLOE: This is my first hip-hop solo ever,
- 29:54and we've only ever done two hip-hop group dances.
- 29:58So it's very weird to be doing hip-hop, especially as a solo.
- 30:03EMCEE: And next to the stage is act number
- 30:0515 is a junior hip-hop solo.
- 30:07Let's please welcome Chloe performing Keep it Pumping.
- 30:09[cheers and applause]
- 30:13[music playing]
- 30:18Pumping, yeah.
- 30:20Keep it pumping, keep it pumping in here.
- 30:26Put your hands up, put your hands in the air.
- 30:33Keep it pumping, keep it pumping in here.
- 30:40Put your hands up, put your hands in the air.
- 30:48[cheers and applause]
- 30:49HOLLY: Good job.
- 30:52EMCEE: That was beautiful, act number 15.
- 30:57ABBY LEE: Chloe just performed, and she was good.
- 31:00Good enough for first place?
- 31:02Mm, I don't think so.
- 31:04But I know that my best shot for first place is coming up next.
- 31:08EMCEE: This is act number 13, junior tap solo.
- 31:10Please welcome Maddie performing You and Me Against the World.
- 31:15[cheers and applause]
- 31:19[music playing]
- 31:23I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
- 31:28And I spilled coffee on your white T.
- 31:32I burnt your bacon, burnt your pancakes, and my hand.
- 31:36It's not my day, I hope you understand.
- 31:41ABBY LEE: The apron starts to come down
- 31:43in the middle of the number.
- 31:45You know I'll put you first,
- 31:49ABBY LEE: And that kid doesn't miss a beat.
- 31:52She is right on the money the entire routine.
- 31:56Me and you against the world.
- 31:58Me and you against the world.
- 32:02[cheers and applause]
- 32:05EMCEE: That was You and Me Against the World.
- 32:07That kid was like a pro.
- 32:11JILL: I thought all of them look great.
- 32:12Mackenzie is looking so strong.
- 32:15And Maddie looked great.
- 32:17Maddie's apron came down, and I looked over at Abby--
- 32:19JILL: Abby was laughing.
- 32:20--and Abby laughed.
- 32:21I know.
- 32:22When Chloe lost her headband, Christi was like--
- 32:24Dead
- 32:25--murdered.
- 32:28Oh, my god.
- 32:28It came forward.
- 32:30What did you want me to do?
- 32:31You were in the bar having a drink,
- 32:32and her head piece is falling off!
- 32:33Like she's not going to come in here and yell at Melissa.
- 32:35She's not going to be upset with Maddie like she screamed at me,
- 32:38she was angry with Chloe.
- 32:39Like, that's not going to happen with them.
- 32:42It is what it is.
- 32:49I guess I should have pinned it.
- 32:50But I had it Velcroed really good.
- 32:52But you must have gotten it like--
- 32:53Just--
- 32:54MELISSA: You must have just gotten it in your hair.
- 32:56Melissa, you are on my last nerve.
- 33:00Amazing job.
- 33:03I was nervous. Seen
- 33:04Chloe, you did a great job too,
- 33:06but we're back to right where we started, forgetting the dance.
- 33:09Did you forgot the dance?
- 33:10You forgot this whole thing.
- 33:13That's eight counts.
- 33:15I did--
- 33:16You did not do this.
- 33:18This, swish, swish.
- 33:20You're really going to argue with me?
- 33:22[sighs]
- 33:23ABBY LEE: Really?
- 33:24CHRISTI: As far as I can see, Chloe didn't forget any piece
- 33:26of her choreography.
- 33:27And if she did, I put that back on Abby,
- 33:30because she gave her two times to run the dance.
- 33:32Who remembers that entire dance with two rehearsals?

- 38:06Yeah.
- 38:07I know.
- 38:08Oh, I don't think Abby cares that the girls won.
- 38:10The only thing she cares about is Maddie's solo.
- 38:13KELLY: I feel kind of bad that the girls probably
- 38:15won't get to enjoy their win.
- 38:17So all your kissing ass and doing whatever has paid off.
- 38:21And aren't you glad that you went to LA to make sure
- 38:24that she will protect you?
- 38:26But you don't see when you do things against the group
- 38:30that it hurts our kids.
- 38:35My kids come first to me, and they always
- 38:37will come first to me.
- 38:39I can't say that I'm fed up with Melissa's lying
- 38:41and fakeness, because I've always been fed up
- 38:43with Melissa's lying and fakeness.
- 38:44But I think all of the other moms in the room
- 38:47are finally fed up with it too.

- 39:03CHRISTI: She looked upset.
- 39:04Why are you saying this in front of your kids?
- 39:05Because guess what?
- 39:06You do it all the time.
- 39:07You talk about my kid all the time.
- 39:09You said, oh, Maddie is upset.
- 39:11Every time Maddie doesn't win, oh, my god, Maddie's upset.
- 39:14Maddie's upset.
- 39:15So don't play the the game.

- 39:20Screw you!
- 39:21I'm done.
- 39:22I'm so over it.
- 39:23You know what?
- 39:24You're always against me.
- 39:27Come on.
- 39:28Why don't you tell that that trashy girl to stop?
- 39:30Let's go.
- 39:31we're leaving.
- 39:33When I walk into the dressing room.
- 39:35And Melissa's mad.
- 39:36She's leaving.
- 39:37The other kids aren't even in there.
- 39:38They're all milling around.
- 39:39What is going on with the Abby Lee Dance Company?
- 39:41Come on, girls.
- 39:46You are all sitting here like we have another number.
- 39:48It's over.
- 39:49Get your stuff together.
- 39:51OK, let's go.
- 39:52We don't have yet our children.
- 39:55Stop it.
- 39:56MELISSA: Maddie, please, stop.
- 40:05ABBY LEE: Melissa, what's going on with you?
- 40:07Tell me what happened.
- 40:07Maddie is fine.
- 40:12Maddie, learn from Chloe or learn from Christi being evil,
- 40:17not to cry.
- 40:21You've got to save it for the pillow,
- 40:23because people like that make it worse.
- 40:27Every time you get knocked down, you fight that much more.
- 40:31And that's what makes you Maddie.
- 40:34You're a survivor.
- 40:35Got it?
- 40:37The moms?
- 40:37They're jealous of Maddie.
- 40:39This is Maddie's time to shine, and they don't understand that.
- 40:42Come over here and give me a hug.
- 40:48Oh.
- 40:50Next on "Dance Moms."
- 40:51This week, you will be performing in the annual dance
- 40:55concert.
- 40:55Now, something else is going on.
- 40:57We're going to throw in a photo shoot.
- 41:00Shush the beak!
- 41:00Stop it.
- 41:02Since when does your ass go on my stage?
- 41:04If you think Christi and Kelly are going to make your kid
- 41:06a star, by all means, go.
- 41:09Pick which side you're on.
- 41:10Never in 40 years of being in the Abby Lee Dance Company has
- 41:13anyone been giving a solo the day of the [bleep] recital!
- 41:18She's going to crap all over me and talk to me that way
- 41:20in front of my customers?
- 41:21No way.
