  1. 0:00When I was a teenager, I had such bad
  2. 0:01skin that I got bullied for it. My mom
  3. 0:03took me to dermatologists after
  4. 0:05dermatologist.
  5. 0:06>> [music]
  6. 0:06>> 5 years, nothing worked. I remember
  7. 0:08getting injections in my face. Now, I
  8. 0:12discovered a technique, [music]
  9. 0:13not a cream, not a pill, a mental
  10. 0:14technique from this Silva method, and in
  11. 0:175 weeks, [music] I was able to heal my
  12. 0:19skin. That's 5 years of skin disease
  13. 0:21healed in 5 weeks.
  14. 0:23But more than that, this technique gave
  15. 0:24me a taste [music] of the power of the
  16. 0:26mind, something I would use over the
  17. 0:28next 30 years to accomplish multiple
  18. 0:31things [music] from getting a book
  19. 0:33number one in the world on Amazon,
  20. 0:35scaling a company to 140 million in
  21. 0:37revenue, and even qualifying as a
  22. 0:39martial artist competitor [music] at the
  23. 0:41US Open Taekwondo Championships. I was
  24. 0:44able to do a lot of this [music] even
  25. 0:45though these are all different areas of
  26. 0:47life through this one technique, and
  27. 0:50it's about focusing [music] your mind on
  28. 0:53that which you deeply desire. That was
  29. 0:55the first taste of something I've now
  30. 0:57done nearly every morning [music] for
  31. 0:59over 30 years. The technique is called
  32. 1:01the three scenes technique. It is a form
  33. 1:03of creative visualization, and I'm going
  34. 1:05to teach it to you in the next 20
  35. 1:06minutes.
  36. 1:10So, I want you to think back to a night
  37. 1:12before something
  38. 1:14that was really important to you
  39. 1:16happened. A big presentation, a pitch, a
  40. 1:19game, an exam, a hard conversation you
  41. 1:21knew you had to have the next morning.
  42. 1:23And maybe you lay there in bed running
  43. 1:25it over and over in your head. Except
  44. 1:27the version playing in your mind was the
  45. 1:29one where it all went wrong. So, here's
  46. 1:32the strange thing. Your body believes
  47. 1:34it. Your heart rate went up. Your
  48. 1:36stomach tightened. You were lying
  49. 1:37perfectly still in a dark room, and your
  50. 1:39nervous system reacted as if the
  51. 1:41disaster was actually happening.
  52. 1:44Now, hold on to that because it tells
  53. 1:45you something most people never stop to
  54. 1:47realize. Your mind cannot fully tell the
  55. 1:50difference between an imagined
  56. 1:51experience and a real one. And that is
  57. 1:54either a curse or a superpower,
  58. 1:55depending entirely on what you choose to
  59. 1:58put in your mind. So, here's a study
  60. 2:01that illustrates this. It comes from the
  61. 2:02psychologist Alan Richardson. So, he did
  62. 2:05this experiment to see how powerful the
  63. 2:08mind is versus actual practice. And he
  64. 2:10did this experiment with basketball
  65. 2:12players. They were divided into three
  66. 2:14groups. The first group practiced on a
  67. 2:16court. The second group had no practice
  68. 2:18at all. The third group practiced in
  69. 2:21their mind. They would visualize
  70. 2:23themselves shooting baskets. They would
  71. 2:25see themselves scoring points. Now, at
  72. 2:28the end of this study, he found that the
  73. 2:30first group improved by 24%.
  74. 2:33Pretty expected, right? They were
  75. 2:34practicing on the court. The second
  76. 2:36group, they stayed flat, no improvement.
  77. 2:38But here's what's wild. The third group
  78. 2:41improved by 23%
  79. 2:44even though they were only practicing in
  80. 2:47their mind. Michael Beckwith's concept
  81. 2:49of the law of resonance gives us a clue
  82. 2:51of what's going on. The third group that
  83. 2:53was practicing in their mind, they were
  84. 2:55really taking on an identity that they
  85. 2:59are a good basketball player. And that
  86. 3:01identity becomes so strong as you
  87. 3:04practice in your mind that their actual
  88. 3:08performance goes up. Now, what if you
  89. 3:10were practicing in your mind being a
  90. 3:11world-class founder, being a world-class
  91. 3:14athlete, being a confident person on
  92. 3:16stage, being a published author? Might
  93. 3:19the same results happen?
  94. 3:21From what we're seeing through thousands
  95. 3:24of case studies that we get on our
  96. 3:26website from people who follow this
  97. 3:29technique,
  98. 3:30I can tell you
  99. 3:32this is really powerful. But not only is
  100. 3:34it powerful, it's a shortcut. See, the
  101. 3:37actual people who practice on a court,
  102. 3:38think about it. They had to get dressed,
  103. 3:41get in a car, drive to a basketball
  104. 3:43court, practice, come back sweaty, take
  105. 3:46a shower, and then go back to their
  106. 3:48lives. But the ones practicing in their
  107. 3:50mind,
  108. 3:51no commute. They basically just sit
  109. 3:53down, go into a mental state, and
  110. 3:55visualize.
  111. 3:56The point difference was only 1% 23% to
  112. 4:0124%
  113. 4:02in terms of improvement. So, let's
  114. 4:04define what this actually is.
  115. 4:06People sometimes call this creative
  116. 4:08visualization. It is the act of seeing
  117. 4:09in your mind that which you want to
  118. 4:11bring in the world. And it turns out
  119. 4:13this is no longer a fringe idea. Some
  120. 4:16medical professionals call it imagery
  121. 4:17therapy because it's also an effective
  122. 4:20tool for healing. Now, here's what's
  123. 4:22interesting. It doesn't just help you
  124. 4:24feel good or motivated. It actually
  125. 4:26seems to help you get to your goal
  126. 4:28faster, in less time, less hustle, less
  127. 4:32work, more effectively. You see, it's
  128. 4:35not about writing down the goals. It's
  129. 4:36not about obsessively chasing the goals.
  130. 4:39It is about the amount of time your
  131. 4:42brain is focused on the reality of that
  132. 4:45goal versus worrying about attaining
  133. 4:49that reality. So, let me give you an
  134. 4:51idea. Let's say you have a goal to hit a
  135. 4:54new position, CEO of a company. Or you
  136. 4:57have a goal to raise 10 million for your
  137. 4:58business. Or get that book out. Or
  138. 5:01compete in a competitive sporting event.
  139. 5:04How much time are you feeling and
  140. 5:06experiencing the joy of that end reality
  141. 5:11versus worried about it? Worried about
  142. 5:13the idea of having to run a big team.
  143. 5:15Worried about the idea of having to wake
  144. 5:17up at 6:00 a.m. every morning to hit the
  145. 5:19gym.
  146. 5:20The ratio between you obsessively
  147. 5:23thinking about the goal as if it's
  148. 5:26already coming. Like, you know, you're
  149. 5:28in love with someone. You know, they've
  150. 5:30just boarded a flight. They're about to
  151. 5:31come visit you. You can't wait to see
  152. 5:34them, to greet them, to show them the
  153. 5:36city
  154. 5:37versus worried.
  155. 5:40Are they going to call me back?
  156. 5:42Am I going to get that text? You sense
  157. 5:44the difference?
  158. 5:45What Michael Beckwith
  159. 5:47helped me understand in his writings and
  160. 5:50his work is this.
  161. 5:52To truly manifest your goals, you have
  162. 5:54to be stepped into the future. In other
  163. 5:58words, in your mind, the goal is
  164. 5:59inevitable. Therefore, you aren't
  165. 6:02worried about the next steps you have to
  166. 6:04take to get that promotion. You just
  167. 6:06know it's coming. So, you've already
  168. 6:08started shopping for the outfit. You
  169. 6:11know that your competitive sports career
  170. 6:14is going to be inevitable. So, you wake
  171. 6:16up every day and you're excited to go to
  172. 6:17your gym because you've already stepped
  173. 6:18into that reality where you are that
  174. 6:21athlete.
  175. 6:22When you can step into the future today,
  176. 6:26that is the law of resonance. You've
  177. 6:28become and taken on a new identity. And
  178. 6:31because you're in that new identity, you
  179. 6:34don't have worries. You don't have
  180. 6:35fears.
  181. 6:37The reason you don't have worries and
  182. 6:38you don't have fears is because that new
  183. 6:40identity is already you. The future is
  184. 6:43inevitable. This is the essence of the
  185. 6:46law of resonance, which is explained
  186. 6:49with this line. The universe does not
  187. 6:52give a damn about what you want.
  188. 6:54Rather, the universe will reflect back
  189. 6:57to you who you are. Therefore, become
  190. 7:01and step into the person you want to be
  191. 7:05at an identity level,
  192. 7:07and reality bends in your favor. Now, we
  193. 7:10are going to do the exercise, but I got
  194. 7:11to teach you how to do it properly, and
  195. 7:14then you can do this on your own. What
  196. 7:16I'm going to teach you today is a
  197. 7:17technique. There's also a deeper skill
  198. 7:19underneath it, the ability to drop in,
  199. 7:22to come on, to drop into the brainwave
  200. 7:24state where this stuff actually takes
  201. 7:26hold on your subconscious. I'll come
  202. 7:28back to that later. For now, just know
  203. 7:30that that door exist. Sit down, find a
  204. 7:33comfortable position, close your eyes,
  205. 7:36and I want you to now see the number
  206. 7:38three three times.
  207. 7:40Three.
  208. 7:41Three.
  209. 7:43Three.
  210. 7:45You're now experiencing physical
  211. 7:46relaxation.
  212. 7:48Now see the number two three times. Two.
  213. 7:52Two.
  214. 7:53Two.
  215. 7:55You're now mentally relaxed.
  216. 7:58Now see the number one three times. One.
  217. 8:02One.
  218. 8:03One.
  219. 8:05You're now at your center.
  220. 8:07Directly in front of you, you see your
  221. 8:10mental screen.
  222. 8:11Project onto your mental screen
  223. 8:14the problem that you're seeking to
  224. 8:16resolve.
  225. 8:17See that problem.
  226. 8:19Feel the pain.
  227. 8:21I want you
  228. 8:23to now, as I snap my fingers, make the
  229. 8:26color brighter and more vivid.
  230. 8:29One, two, three.
  231. 8:31Color is brighter and more vivid.
  232. 8:36I want you to now feel the emotions of
  233. 8:38this problem.
  234. 8:40Feel the negative emotions
  235. 8:42that you want to remove from your life.
  236. 8:46Feel the pain.
  237. 8:49Feel the regret. Feel the suffering.
  238. 8:53Exaggerate the problem to magnify the
  239. 8:56emotion.
  240. 9:08By seeing the problem
  241. 9:10and feeling the pain,
  242. 9:11you're creating greater desire within
  243. 9:13you to heal the situation.
  244. 9:17Exaggerate the pain.
  245. 9:24See how the problem is affecting other
  246. 9:27people in your life.
  247. 9:32And feel how it's preventing you
  248. 9:35from truly being the best version of you
  249. 9:37you can be so you can give your gifts to
  250. 9:40the world.
  251. 9:48Exaggerate the problem.
  252. 9:51Feel the pain.
  253. 9:55Now, stop.
  254. 9:57I want you to move your mental screen
  255. 10:0015° to the left. And now see yourself
  256. 10:03taking some action to resolve this
  257. 10:05problem.
  258. 10:08See yourself taking any baby step
  259. 10:11towards resolving the problem.
  260. 10:16Perhaps you're looking at starting a
  261. 10:17business.
  262. 10:19A baby step might be registering a
  263. 10:20domain name.
  264. 10:23Maybe you're looking at improving your
  265. 10:24emotional states.
  266. 10:26A baby step might be meditating every
  267. 10:29single day.
  268. 10:32Or maybe you're looking at improving
  269. 10:34your relationship with someone.
  270. 10:36A baby step might be being courageous
  271. 10:38enough to have that first difficult
  272. 10:41conversation.
  273. 10:46As you see yourself taking the baby
  274. 10:48steps and taking some action towards
  275. 10:50resolving the situation, see the colors
  276. 10:54getting brighter and more vivid.
  277. 10:56See other senses involved.
  278. 10:59What do you hear?
  279. 11:01What do you smell?
  280. 11:03Where are you?
  281. 11:05Who is around you? What do you feel as
  282. 11:08you're taking this baby step?
  283. 11:19And now, as I snap my fingers,
  284. 11:22you're going to move to the third scene.
  285. 11:24Again, 15° to the left. 1 2 3.
  286. 11:29Now, on this third scene, see the
  287. 11:31having resolved itself.
  288. 11:35Feel the emotions and the feelings
  289. 11:38knowing
  290. 11:39that this problem is gone.
  291. 11:43How do you feel?
  292. 11:46How are you celebrating?
  293. 11:49See how the resolution of this problem
  294. 11:51is helping other people.
  295. 11:54Which other lives are getting better
  296. 11:57because this problem has been healed?
  297. 12:02See color.
  298. 12:04Feel emotion.
  299. 12:14Keep the visualization bright
  300. 12:16and bold.
  301. 12:21Feel the joy, feeling of victory,
  302. 12:25feeling of success,
  303. 12:26knowing that this problem
  304. 12:28is no more,
  305. 12:30and that the solution is now your new
  306. 12:32reality.
  307. 12:41In later lessons, we will go into more
  308. 12:43intricacies of this particular
  309. 12:45technique, and we will go into further
  310. 12:48ways to use this technique for specific
  311. 12:50things such as healing.
  312. 12:53At the count of five, you will now come
  313. 12:55out. You'll be wide awake feeling fine
  314. 12:57and perfect health, feeling better than
  315. 12:58before.
  316. 12:59One,
  317. 13:01two,
  318. 13:02three,
  319. 13:03ready to come out,
  320. 13:05four,
  321. 13:06five,
  322. 13:07eyes open, wide awake feeling fine and
  323. 13:09perfect health, feeling better than
  324. 13:10before. So, there you have it. You now
  325. 13:12get the three scenes technique, and if
  326. 13:14you enjoyed this technique, all I ask is
  327. 13:16this, leave a comment. Let us know what
  328. 13:18you liked about it. I read every
  329. 13:20comment, and I want to know did you get
  330. 13:23stuck on something? Is there something I
  331. 13:25can clarify further? And also, I want to
  332. 13:28stress I got permission to share this
  333. 13:30technique from the Silva family, the
  334. 13:33descendants of Jose Silva. And they
  335. 13:36asked me to state one thing,
  336. 13:38when we're getting this technique out to
  337. 13:39you free, for those of you who want to
  338. 13:41go deeper, go check out the Silva
  339. 13:44UltraMind program on Mindvalley. It's at
  340. 13:47mindvalley.com/silva.
  341. 13:51Proceeds from that program actually go
  342. 13:53to Jose Silva's family. And remember
  343. 13:56this man
  344. 13:58who passed away in 1999 put in so much
  345. 14:00effort in developing these
  346. 14:02methodologies. And one of the things I'm
  347. 14:04most proud about what we do is that
  348. 14:07we're helping get this out to as many
  349. 14:08people as possible. Now, here's a really
  350. 14:11important tip.
  351. 14:13The universe hates to be nagged at. So,
  352. 14:16imagine you're on a road trip with kids,
  353. 14:18and the kids at the back of the car,
  354. 14:20before you get to that gorgeous national
  355. 14:22park that you're that you promised them,
  356. 14:24well, before you get to Disneyland, they
  357. 14:25keep yelling, "Are we there yet? Are we
  358. 14:27there yet? Are we there yet?" And you
  359. 14:29just want to like turn around and smack
  360. 14:30those kids. Don't do that, that's
  361. 14:32illegal in most countries. But as a
  362. 14:34driver, that's rather annoying. The
  363. 14:37universe doesn't like it when you keep
  364. 14:39going, "Are we there yet? Are we there
  365. 14:41yet?" So, what I want to stress that you
  366. 14:44should do, okay, is if you're applying
  367. 14:46the three scenes technique for a goal,
  368. 14:49the dream office, the published book, do
  369. 14:52it one day a week in the morning. One
  370. 14:56day a week. Now, let's say you do it on
  371. 14:58Monday for your book goal.
  372. 15:01If Wednesday, Thursday, you're somehow
  373. 15:03feeling intense doubt, intense like lack
  374. 15:07of urgency about writing, you can do it
  375. 15:08again.
  376. 15:09But if you feel good about it on
  377. 15:11Tuesday, go to a different goal. Now, if
  378. 15:13you're doing it for healing, Jose
  379. 15:14Silva's principles still apply. Healing
  380. 15:17is something that is often urgent, so
  381. 15:19you want to do it three times a day,
  382. 15:21especially if it's pain, if it's
  383. 15:23something that you really want to like
  384. 15:25resolve, three times a day every day
  385. 15:27until healed. But if it's not for
  386. 15:29healing, doing it once is enough as long
  387. 15:32as when you're done with it, you're in a
  388. 15:35positive frame of mind. Now, what many
  389. 15:38people do when they've been practicing
  390. 15:40the Silva techniques for a while is they
  391. 15:42pick seven goals and they do one on
  392. 15:44Monday, one on Tuesday, Wednesday,
  393. 15:45Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, a
  394. 15:48different goal. Create balance in your
  395. 15:50life. You can pick a longevity-related
  396. 15:53goal, run a marathon, you can pick a
  397. 15:55money goal, a business goal, a
  398. 15:56relationship goal, a goal related to
  399. 15:58accomplishment, a goal for reading, a
  400. 16:01goal for learning, a goal for how you
  401. 16:03show up amongst peers and co-workers.
  402. 16:06Different goal every day. If you have
  403. 16:08difficulty identifying goals, getting
  404. 16:11really clear on what you want, then I
  405. 16:13have another video called the three most
  406. 16:15important questions. This is an exercise
  407. 16:17I designed in 2012.
  408. 16:19And what happened was I designed it and
  409. 16:21put it up on YouTube back then just for
  410. 16:24my friends and employees, and the
  411. 16:25American Management Association loved it
  412. 16:27so much they retweeted it and the
  413. 16:29technique blew up. It's a technique for
  414. 16:31finding clarity. And it takes less than
  415. 16:3415 minutes, but it helps you identify
  416. 16:37clarity in your life and the most
  417. 16:40important goals that your soul and your
  418. 16:42heart really want you to be aligned
  419. 16:45with, not goals which are coming from
  420. 16:47outside you, but goals stemming from
  421. 16:48within. And all I ask is you subscribe
  422. 16:51to this channel.
  423. 16:52And on this channel, you'll find a link,
  424. 16:55as well as below this video, a link to
  425. 16:56the three most important questions
  426. 16:58video. Do that to get clear on your
  427. 17:00goal. Use the three C's technique to
  428. 17:02move towards that goal in record time.

  432. 17:12transformational ideas to founders
  433. 17:15everywhere. And we don't just look at
  434. 17:18concepts of how to grow your business,
  435. 17:20but things such as longevity, your
  436. 17:23spiritual practices, your relationship
  437. 17:25with the people around you, how you
  438. 17:27build community, how you scale without
  439. 17:29breaking yourself, and all the other
  440. 17:32things that are often not as commonly
  441. 17:36spoken about in entrepreneurship as they
  442. 17:38should be. And if you like these topics,
  443. 17:40subscribe to this channel cuz there's so
  444. 17:41much more I'd love to be able to share
  445. 17:43with you, not just from my work, but
