  1. 0:00Today, I'm going to show you a video
  2. 0:01style that keeps blowing up small
  3. 0:03channels on YouTube. And I'm not even
  4. 0:05joking, this literally keeps working
  5. 0:07over and over again. In fact, there's a
  6. 0:10video on this channel that uses this
  7. 0:12exact video style, and it has over
  8. 0:14350,000
  9. 0:16views. And honestly, the video isn't
  10. 0:18even that good. It's just because I used
  11. 0:20this idea. So, without further ado,
  12. 0:22let's dive into this. So, this video
  13. 0:24style is split into three main parts.
  14. 0:27And just before we dive into this, I
  15. 0:28will say that you do need all three
  16. 0:30pieces of the puzzle to make this work.
  17. 0:32So, make sure you actually watch the
  18. 0:33whole video because I know for a fact
  19. 0:35that this is going to help you a lot.
  20. 0:37So, the first part of this video style
  21. 0:39is creating an irresistible hook. Now,
  22. 0:42before you click off the video thinking,
  23. 0:43"Okay, yeah, I already know about
  24. 0:44hooks." Just stay with me for a second
  25. 0:46because we're going to do things a
  26. 0:48little bit differently. So, when YouTube
  27. 0:49gurus talk about hooks, they always
  28. 0:52repeat the exact same thing, which is to
  29. 0:54simply grab attention in the first few
  30. 0:57seconds, which is not bad advice, but
  31. 1:00your hook needs to do more than just
  32. 1:02grab someone's attention. It's about
  33. 1:04giving the viewer a clear, irresistible
  34. 1:06reason to keep watching. And in order to
  35. 1:08do that, you need just two things in
  36. 1:10your hook. That's it. And the first
  37. 1:12thing is that the hook needs to create
  38. 1:14something that I call an emotional
  39. 1:16anchor. And honestly, every single big
  40. 1:18creator on YouTube uses this, whether
  41. 1:21you realize it or not. So, basically,
  42. 1:22this is what makes a viewer feel some
  43. 1:24sort of emotional pull in the first few
  44. 1:27seconds of a video. So, we're not just
  45. 1:29trying to grab their attention by being
  46. 1:31as loud and crazy as possible. Instead,
  47. 1:34an emotional anchor is what makes them
  48. 1:36feel something deeper in the first few
  49. 1:38seconds. So, this could be curiosity,
  50. 1:41tension, the fear of missing out, or
  51. 1:43even just sheer disbelief. And to give
  52. 1:46you an example, I have a video on this
  53. 1:47channel with 350,000 views, which
  54. 1:50completely blew up my entire channel.
  55. 1:53And the video is so simple. It's just me
  56. 1:55talking to a camera with no crazy
  57. 1:57editing, no big drawings in front of me,
  58. 2:00or anything like that. But, I started
  59. 2:02that video with this sentence. "Creating
  60. 2:04content completely changed my life in
  61. 2:07just 90 days." And that one line really
  62. 2:09works because it immediately creates a
  63. 2:12lot of emotion. It makes the viewer
  64. 2:13wonder, "Wait, how did this guy change
  65. 2:15his life in just 90 days? Could I change
  66. 2:17my life in 90 days?" And that's why an
  67. 2:20emotional anchor works because it
  68. 2:22doesn't matter if you don't have the
  69. 2:23best camera or the fanciest editing. If
  70. 2:26you can make someone feel a spark of
  71. 2:28curiosity or emotion in the first few
  72. 2:31seconds, then they will keep watching.
  73. 2:33Now, the second thing we need for an
  74. 2:35irresistible hook is we need to create a
  75. 2:38very clear [music] promise. So, here's
  76. 2:40the thing. One of the biggest lessons
  77. 2:42that I've learned on my content creation
  78. 2:44journey is that viewers don't care about
  79. 2:47you. They don't care about your fancy
  80. 2:49setup, or your nice background, or even
  81. 2:52your quirky personality. They care about
  82. 2:54themselves. They care about what they're
  83. 2:56going to get out of watching your video.
  84. 2:59And I know that sounds kind of harsh,
  85. 3:00but it's the truth. is why creating a
  86. 3:03promise in the hook is so important
  87. 3:06because it answers the question in your
  88. 3:07viewer's mind, which is, "Is this video
  89. 3:10even worth my time?" But, the best part
  90. 3:12is creating a promise in your hook is
  91. 3:15actually really, really simple. So, the
  92. 3:18easiest, most effective way to do this
  93. 3:20is to say something along the lines of,
  94. 3:22"In this video," and then give them a
  95. 3:24big, compelling promise as to why they
  96. 3:27should keep watching. And you are
  97. 3:28literally going to see every single big
  98. 3:30creator use this idea. In this video So,
  99. 3:33in this video So, in this video In this
  100. 3:35video And in this video And when you
  101. 3:36combine that in this video promise with
  102. 3:39an emotional anchor, that is when your
  103. 3:42hook becomes completely irresistible.
  104. 3:45And just before we dive into the second
  105. 3:47part of this video style, I want to
  106. 3:48quickly show you one of the best tools
  107. 3:50for creators that I've come across in a
  108. 3:52long time. So, if I'm being totally
  109. 3:54honest, my YouTube thumbnails sometimes
  110. 3:56take me hours to create. But, recently,
  111. 3:59one of 10 have actually launched a new
  112. 4:01thumbnail generator model. And let me
  113. 4:03just show you how powerful this thing
  114. 4:05is. So, let's say we need a thumbnail
  115. 4:07for a video that we're working on. So,
  116. 4:08we're just going to come up here, and
  117. 4:09we're going to type in, "Make a
  118. 4:11thumbnail about filming yourself for
  119. 4:15YouTube." And then we're just going to
  120. 4:16hit generate. And then we literally only
  121. 4:18need to wait about 60 to 90 seconds. And
  122. 4:21just look how good these are. They're in
  123. 4:23the exact same style as the thumbnails
  124. 4:25I'm already using, and they don't even
  125. 4:27look like AI. And if you like a
  126. 4:29thumbnail, but there is something you
  127. 4:30want to change, you can just click on
  128. 4:32edit with AI. And let's say that I want
  129. 4:34this text to say, "Just start." We can
  130. 4:36just type that in, and it's as simple as
  131. 4:38that. And I've tried other AI thumbnail
  132. 4:40generators on different websites, and
  133. 4:43they always look terrible. Like, it
  134. 4:44never looks like me in the thumbnail.
  135. 4:46But, just look how good these are. I
  136. 4:48mean, it even has my exact tattoo. Like,
  137. 4:51it's crazy. And one of 10 have actually
  138. 4:53given you guys a special offer. So, the
  139. 4:55first 100 people to use my link in the
  140. 4:57description will get their first month
  141. 4:59for $1. So, yeah, click the top link in
  142. 5:02the description if you're interested.
  143. 5:04And yeah, let's go back to the video.
  144. 5:05So, the second part of this video style
  145. 5:07is [music] to tell your story. And this
  146. 5:10is probably the part that I have
  147. 5:11struggled with the most on my journey
  148. 5:13because if I'm just being totally honest
  149. 5:15with you, for a long time, I didn't
  150. 5:17think my story was worth telling. I
  151. 5:20thought, "Who would even care about what
  152. 5:22I've been through? Like, who wants to
  153. 5:23listen to that?" So, I'd avoid it. I'd
  154. 5:25avoid telling my story. I'd skip
  155. 5:28straight to the lessons and the tips and
  156. 5:30the content strategies and all that type
  157. 5:32of stuff. But, looking back now, this
  158. 5:34was actually the thing that was holding
  159. 5:36my content back when I was stuck in that
  160. 5:39dead zone period at the beginning of my
  161. 5:41journey because I was trying to position
  162. 5:43myself as someone worth listening to
  163. 5:46without giving people a reason to
  164. 5:48believe me. And when that clicked in my
  165. 5:50brain, everything changed. So, I started
  166. 5:53telling personal, vulnerable stories
  167. 5:55about my own journey as a creator. And
  168. 5:57it's so funny because if you look at my
  169. 5:59analytics, I started using this
  170. 6:02storytelling technique right around
  171. 6:04here, which is just insane. But,
  172. 6:06obviously, it's not just me doing this.
  173. 6:08All the biggest creators in the world
  174. 6:10use personal, vulnerable storytelling to
  175. 6:13build trust and connection with their
  176. 6:15audience, every single one. In fact, I
  177. 6:17remember back in the day when Hamza was
  178. 6:19blowing up, and he would tell super
  179. 6:21personal stories with like
  180. 6:23excruciatingly personal details, like
  181. 6:26things that most people would never say
  182. 6:28out loud on the internet. And the trust
  183. 6:30and level of authenticity that that
  184. 6:32created is probably one of the biggest
  185. 6:33reasons why he blew up so fast. But, on
  186. 6:36top of that, telling your unique story
  187. 6:38is probably one of the biggest
  188. 6:40advantages you have right now,
  189. 6:41especially with AI because, let's be
  190. 6:44honest, AI is getting pretty crazy. It
  191. 6:46can write scripts, it can generate
  192. 6:48ideas, it can create entire videos, but
  193. 6:51the one thing that it can't do is be
  194. 6:53you. It can't tell your story. It can't
  195. 6:56replicate your experiences. It can't
  196. 6:58connect with an audience in the way that
  197. 7:00you or I can. And this is how you're
  198. 7:02going to be able to stand out in the
  199. 7:04future dystopian world of AI-generated
  200. 7:07content. And it's by leaning into the
  201. 7:09stories and the experiences that
  202. 7:11actually make you human. So, at this
  203. 7:14point, you might be wondering, "Okay,
  204. 7:15but how do I actually find good stories
  205. 7:17[music]
  206. 7:18to tell in my videos?" Well, this is
  207. 7:20actually very simple. You just need to
  208. 7:21identify any transformation-based
  209. 7:24stories [music] from your own life. And
  210. 7:26this doesn't have to be some huge,
  211. 7:28life-altering moment. [music] It can be
  212. 7:30small. It can be a mindset shift. It can
  213. 7:32be a failure that changed the way you
  214. 7:34think about something. It can be a phase
  215. 7:37in your life where you struggled with
  216. 7:38confidence. Basically, anything where
  217. 7:40there's a clear before and after.
  218. 7:42[music] And then you're basically going
  219. 7:44to package that story into this video
  220. 7:46structure right here, which actually
  221. 7:48leads us nicely onto the third and final
  222. 7:50part of this video style, which is where
  223. 7:52we're going to share the lessons. And
  224. 7:54this is where your content actually
  225. 7:56starts to become extremely valuable. So,
  226. 7:58once you've told your story, the next
  227. 8:00step is to take a step back and ask
  228. 8:03yourself, "Okay, what does this actually
  229. 8:05mean for the person watching this
  230. 8:06video?" Because telling your story alone
  231. 8:09isn't the end goal. It's about giving
  232. 8:11your viewer something that they can
  233. 8:12actually apply to their own life. So, in
  234. 8:14my viral storytelling video, after I
  235. 8:17shared my story, I didn't just leave it
  236. 8:19there. I actually zoomed out and turned
  237. 8:22that story into a few simple lessons.
  238. 8:24Although, having said that, looking back
  239. 8:26now almost 2 years later, there are
  240. 8:28definitely a few lessons that I wish I'd
  241. 8:30known when I was first getting started.
  242. 8:32So, by giving my audience some lessons
  243. 8:34that I'd learned from my experiences,
  244. 8:36the video wasn't just about, "Here's
  245. 8:38what happened to me." It became, "Here's
  246. 8:40what this means for you." And this is
  247. 8:42also something I noticed all the big
  248. 8:44creators doing as well. So, they don't
  249. 8:45just tell stories for the sake of
  250. 8:47telling stories. They actually use their
  251. 8:49experiences as a way to teach something
  252. 8:52or inspire people, or even just use
  253. 8:54their story to make people feel a little
  254. 8:57bit less alone. Okay, so I want to
  255. 8:59finish off this video by answering a
  256. 9:00question that I know a lot of you are
  257. 9:02probably wondering, which is, "What if I
  258. 9:04have no interesting stories to tell?"
  259. 9:07And I get why you would feel that way
  260. 9:09because that's exactly how I felt.
  261. 9:11Because when we look at our own lives,
  262. 9:13nothing seems special enough to talk
  263. 9:16about. But, the truth is, when it comes
  264. 9:18to content creation, it's not about
  265. 9:19having the craziest, most interesting,
  266. 9:22most extreme story out there. It's about
  267. 9:25sharing moments in your life that
  268. 9:27actually meant something to you. Because
  269. 9:29even the smallest experiences can turn
  270. 9:31into something powerful [music]
  271. 9:33if there's a lesson behind them. So,
  272. 9:34maybe you did something small that
  273. 9:36scared you, or maybe you started a new
  274. 9:37business, or posted your first video on
  275. 9:39YouTube. Like, [music] these things seem
  276. 9:41small, but at the end of the day, these
  277. 9:43are the moments in our lives that people
  278. 9:45actually connect with. And on that note,
  279. 9:47if you are in a place right now where
  280. 9:49you're really struggling or becoming
  281. 9:51overwhelmed with content creation, then
  282. 9:53click onto this video just up here,
  283. 9:55>> [music]
  284. 9:55>> and I'll see you there.
