- 0:24school construction program are
- 0:26phenomenal. Uh, not only do the kids get
- 0:28to use tools, learn how to use basic
- 0:30hand tools and power some power tools,
- 0:33they go home, they tell their parents
- 0:34about it, um, they have they want to
- 0:36sand it and they love building. It's it
- 0:39they really get a a joy for going to
- 0:41school that they didn't have before. Hi,
- 0:42I'm Michelle Reynolds. I teach at Whitlo
- 0:45Elementary at Foresight County and I am
- 0:46the STEM teacher. It has been an amazing
- 0:49opportunity that construction ready
- 0:51future builder program has entered
- 0:52Whitlo Elementary. I have seen the
- 0:55impact that that has had on my students.
- 0:57They are feeling empowered that they can
- 1:00build. They feel like they can use their
- 1:02math skills in a real world application.
- 1:05They also ask for Christmas presents for
- 1:07construction related items, tools, wood,
- 1:10drills, um screws, nails. They're
- 1:13wanting everything to do with
- 1:14construction. They're loving it. My
- 1:16favorite part is like when we get to
- 1:18build with like your team, like working
- 1:21with teamwork. You can learn a lot from
- 1:23all of them. Like you can learn
- 1:25different things from different careers
