- 0:13Hey,
- 0:14what's going on everybody? This is the
- 0:17Blockchain Backer bringing you the
- 0:19latest cryptocurrency news and analysis.
- 0:22Today we'll be taking a look over here
- 0:23at the total market cap of the
- 0:25cryptocurrency market and the Bitcoin
- 0:27price chart now that we have two
- 0:28consecutive closes above the 50week
- 0:31moving average that not only were
- 0:33capable of closing above this 50week
- 0:35moving average but also able to continue
- 0:38higher above the 50we moving average for
- 0:40two consecutive weeks. We've seen this
- 0:42in past market cycles. Of course, we did
- 0:44this back in 2023 where we were able to
- 0:47significantly break and then the weeks
- 0:49after continue marching higher only to
- 0:51build a range afterwards. 2019, of
- 0:54course, was a big break, another
- 0:55continuation, and then we went into a
- 0:57full-blown retrace of the entire bare
- 0:59market and then just continued ranging
- 1:01afterwards. But over there back in 2015
- 1:04we of course broke from the 50we had a
- 1:06continuation week and then that third
- 1:08week gave quite a big move in here but
- 1:11still we remained rangebound there in
- 1:14that precapitulation
- 1:15kind of rally prior to capitulation as
- 1:18I've deemed it over the past several
- 1:19years. That's really kind of where we
- 1:21got stuck back in 2015 and 2016. That
- 1:25range for us here in 2026 was right in
- 1:27here. this rally prior to capitulation
- 1:31coming in here. We've now entered back
- 1:32into that range. Two consecutive green
- 1:35closes and continuations happening here
- 1:37above the 50. So, it's all optimistic.
- 1:39Lots of green throughout the market. And
- 1:40of course, we've seen a lot of action
- 1:42over there in the altcoin market in
- 1:43various little sectors and spots. I
- 1:45personally do not own any Q&A.
- 1:49You guys have given me a hard time over
- 1:50the years for calling it quaint quaint.
- 1:52I don't know what I call it. Uh but last
- 1:54week it saw a 420%
- 1:57increase in a matter of one, two, three,
- 2:00four days. So what a huge move to come
- 2:02out of there for quant after being
- 2:04rangebound in here ever since the bottom
- 2:06back there at the capitulation phase of
- 2:08June of 2022. Long range, huge move. And
- 2:12of course, we're seeing this type of
- 2:13stuff show up in here after we've gotten
- 2:15through really the worst of the market.
- 2:17Another side note about this coin, which
- 2:19is funny because I don't own any of it,
- 2:20but you guys have asked about it a lot
- 2:22over the years, and I've been to
- 2:23multiple crypto conferences where people
- 2:25say, "Yeah, I own quant because of you."
- 2:27I'm like, "What are you talking about? I
- 2:29don't even own any of it." But I'm happy
- 2:31for you guys on that one. You know,
- 2:33otherwise, this market is acting exactly
- 2:35like what we would want to see. We've
- 2:36seen all the technicals to get our way
- 2:38out of the absolute despair of the
- 2:41market. The thing of course I'm just
- 2:42like cautiously on alert for preparing
- 2:45for is like we kind of go through
- 2:46different phases and if you just kind of
- 2:48like reflect back over this last year on
- 2:50the different phases and how we're
- 2:51always trying to look forward. I'm never
- 2:53really trying to kind of like live in
- 2:55the moment of what's happening. I'm
- 2:56always trying to look to you know what's
- 2:58the next thing we can probably expect to
- 3:01happen in here. Like imagine being at
- 3:02the top right that the thoughts are hey
- 3:04we're going to enter into this bare
- 3:06market. There's going to be some
- 3:06liquidation anytime we see the 5day MACD
- 3:09start to cross. Historically, it always
- 3:11means this big liquidation comes next,
- 3:13right? Then what did we get? We got the
- 3:14October 10th liquidation. Boom. Then all
- 3:17of the larger time frame indicators
- 3:19said, "Hey, look, it looks like we're
- 3:20going to go into a bare market." So, we
- 3:22have to look at it through that lens of
- 3:23a bare market. Then we say, "Hey, look,
- 3:25we've gotten our way now down to the
- 3:26100week moving average. What
- 3:28historically comes next after we get to
- 3:30the 100week moving average?
- 3:32Historically, we're going to end up
- 3:34going into the capitulation of the
- 3:35market." So, we spent a long time
- 3:37talking about this market hasn't
- 3:38capitulated yet. there's probably going
- 3:40to be this capitulation. Then eventually
- 3:42we get the capitulation and then we say
- 3:43okay that's capitulation. Now let's look
- 3:45what happens to markets after this.
- 3:47Typically we range at the bottom. We
- 3:48have to do bottom building behavior.
- 3:50Here's the various things. Then we talk
- 3:52about hey you know technically we're
- 3:54going to see one more liquidation that
- 3:55happens at the market. In the market it
- 3:57doesn't always set a new low but here's
- 3:59what they can look like. Okay. Now that
- 4:01we've had the liquidation happen we can
- 4:03see the crashing structure. What tends
- 4:05to happen after the crashing structure
- 4:07happens? What tends to happen after
- 4:09we've already gone oversold? What's the
- 4:11next thing we can look for? That's going
- 4:12to be shifting our way back up to the
- 4:1450week moving average and then trying to
- 4:17see our breadth show back up like we
- 4:19historically do after we've already done
- 4:21all of the bottom behaviors and get back
- 4:23to the 50week moving average. We look
- 4:25for breadth. We get the breadth. Great.
- 4:27Now we've done everything that marks the
- 4:28bottom and it's like, okay, so what do
- 4:30we look for next? Right? Well, the next
- 4:32thing we all look for is like, okay, are
- 4:34we going to go to all-time highs right
- 4:35now? Right? And historically, we tend to
- 4:38have to build a new range at some point.
- 4:40And so that's what the the main focus
- 4:42for me has been has been like, okay,
- 4:44look, we we're looking good. Things are
- 4:46looking good. We've done all the things
- 4:47we need to for a bottom, but now we kind
- 4:49of get back to this area where we tend
- 4:51to try to kind of like range out for a
- 4:54little while. And where could that range
- 4:55start to build itself at? And that's
- 4:58where we're at, right? And like what the
- 5:00nice thing about it is that we just kind
- 5:01of keep getting these confirmations
- 5:02throughout the market to still signal,
- 5:04yeah, that bottom's behind us. I don't
- 5:05think Q and NT taken off like that after
- 5:08being rangebound for 4 and 1/2 years or
- 5:10four a little bit over four. Uh that's
- 5:12not something that happens if we haven't
- 5:14turned a corner in this market, right?
- 5:16And so like being a content creator in
- 5:18this space, I know it's like
- 5:20forwardlooking is like the worst thing
- 5:22you can do as a content creator. Even
- 5:24though everybody wants that, like they
- 5:25want to know what comes next, the thing
- 5:27that definitely gets the most clicks,
- 5:29the most engagement, and the most
- 5:30celebration is truly focusing on what is
- 5:33happening today. Hey, what is happening
- 5:34in this exact moment rather than
- 5:36forwardlooking. So talking about, you
- 5:38know, hey, we're probably going to end
- 5:39up ranging out here at some point is not
- 5:42the like the sexiest thing we could
- 5:44possibly talk about, but it's the most
- 5:45realistic thing to really be looking
- 5:47for. Frankly, I would not be surprised
- 5:49if we just keep climbing though and that
- 5:51our range boundary really all exists
- 5:54within here. But what we know is that we
- 5:57tend to always build a range after we
- 5:59get through the 50WE moving average,
- 6:01right? We go through things like the FTX
- 6:03collapse. We have the big push back to
- 6:05the 50we. We break out and then
- 6:06eventually some larger range ends up
- 6:08getting built. You know, 2018, 2019 was
- 6:11kind of its own monster. And I don't
- 6:13think we structurally have the same
- 6:15setup as we did back then because I was
- 6:17actually making YouTube content during
- 6:18all of this and explaining this that
- 6:21this is like wave four and we try to go
- 6:23for like a fifth wave, 4.236 extension,
- 6:25which is exactly what we hit on
- 6:27Bitcoin's market cap at the peak of
- 6:292021, right? Like I know it's hard to
- 6:31kind of reflect back that long ago and
- 6:33and not everybody who watches this
- 6:35channel was here during that time, but
- 6:36that this was a wave four to go hit that
- 6:394.236 extension on the market cap and
- 6:42why I received a lot of criticism at
- 6:44that time too while also calling the top
- 6:45of Bitcoin at that time. But what I see
- 6:47in the market today is not reflective of
- 6:49what we had happen back in here. And I
- 6:52don't necessarily even believe that what
- 6:53we see today is reflective of what we
- 6:55had back in 2023 either because of that
- 6:59large divergence that has happened
- 7:00between the crypto market and between
- 7:02macro markets where this huge separation
- 7:05exists between the two unlike what we
- 7:08had back there in 2023 where we were
- 7:10still woff accumulating down in here for
- 7:12the Russell 2000 and a lack of breadth
- 7:15throughout markets and that crypto was
- 7:17no different from that time and of
- 7:18course at that time Bitcoin was still
- 7:20stuck. uck underneath the real peak of
- 7:23the market fall that happened in here.
- 7:25And we I'm not going to go into too much
- 7:26detail about it cuz we've done that many
- 7:28times over the years that the true peak
- 7:30of the market for 2021 was back in here.
- 7:32Elon Musk, Wall Street Bets, Laserized
- 7:34Diamond Hands, and the true peak of our
- 7:36market for crypto this time around was
- 7:37back here in January of 2025. But that
- 7:40we were still struggling to even be able
- 7:42to get through that floor down in there,
- 7:44let alone even be able to get back up
- 7:46into that rally prior to capitulation.
- 7:49that that level would be a little bit
- 7:50lower than where we're at right now and
- 7:52that we're already exceeding above that
- 7:54as if we kind of broke out and that
- 7:55we're trying to kind of build a range a
- 7:57little bit higher. I think that that
- 7:59still to this day I think the most
- 8:00logical analogy to make of Bitcoin's
- 8:03current price action is really still the
- 8:06exact same modeling that we've been
- 8:07following for the last year and a half
- 8:09since February of last year in 2025 when
- 8:12we started creating this extreme top and
- 8:15then a massive bearish divergence to
- 8:17ultimately go into a major correction
- 8:19back to the low just like we did back in
- 8:21here or back to the previous high that
- 8:23all the discussions we've had in here
- 8:25were that we've already gone down and
- 8:26done the crashing structure throughout
- 8:27out here and that we're trying to regain
- 8:29steam. Similarly to after already being
- 8:32through all the worst, after shaking out
- 8:34the crowd and reducing sentiment and
- 8:36that what we're really trying to do
- 8:37throughout in here is just kind of stair
- 8:39step our way up, but that we will likely
- 8:43get stuck in that pre-capitulation
- 8:46rally or rally prior to capitulation
- 8:48range until we can really work this
- 8:51thing out and then eventually be able to
- 8:53get our way out. And so right now it
- 8:55seems more like a repericing event
- 8:57happening in the market. Everybody kind
- 8:58of waking up to being like, "Oh no, I'm
- 9:00off sides and a lot of capital's trying
- 9:02to get itself set up and poured back in
- 9:04at the right places throughout right
- 9:06now." But like I discussed kind of in
- 9:07heavy detail in the last video. It's
- 9:09that we we don't see any signs yet that
- 9:11this is like alt season. And I wrote
- 9:13about that in my last newsletter on
- 9:14being like, you know, when do all
- 9:16seasons historically show up? And we're
- 9:18typically going to see them like in
- 9:19expansion moments happening in the
- 9:20market. And right now this isn't one.
- 9:22This is like a repricing, a
- 9:23recalibration of the market happening.
- 9:25And we could see that in here by there
- 9:27being no separation happening between
- 9:29Bitcoin and between the altcoin market
- 9:31in general. And you can see that here
- 9:33too if we just put Bitcoin right next to
- 9:35total 2 or the altcoin market which
- 9:37excludes Bitcoin to see where we are.
- 9:40Here's the rally prior to capitulation.
- 9:42Here's the rally prior to capitulation.
- 9:44We're just kind of moving in lock step.
- 9:46The whole thing is kind of moving with a
- 9:47repricing event for the whole market. So
- 9:49it tells me that this is still probably
- 9:52the most likely thing happening in the
- 9:54market currently right now is that this
- 9:56is all of our repricing happening in the
- 9:59market. Then our ranging through here
- 10:01and then we prove that we can escape
- 10:03from this range and then try to go stab
- 10:05up there at the all-time highs and then
- 10:07once we can get an actual expansion,
- 10:09that would be where we see the
- 10:10decimation of the Bitcoin dominance in
- 10:12here. Uh my thoughts are that the peak
- 10:14of the altcoin market probably comes in
- 10:16right there, right when we get to about
- 10:1735% Bitcoin dominance. But we've just
- 10:20got to kind of work through all of these
- 10:21separate phases first before we can get
- 10:23there. And that's okay. Step one, look
- 10:26for bare market. Step two, understand we
- 10:28haven't seen capitulation. Step three,
- 10:30acknowledge that we've seen
- 10:31capitulation. We're trying to do bottom
- 10:33building formations. Step four,
- 10:35acknowledge everything has already
- 10:37happened and now we just need the last
- 10:38confirmations of bullish divergences on
- 10:41weekly relative strength indexes and
- 10:43MACD's. Step five, get the breadth to
- 10:46open, get the 50week moving average to
- 10:49break. Step six, go through the wall of
- 10:52worry and try to determine where could
- 10:54those problem areas be during a wall of
- 10:57worry. And then after we get through all
- 10:59of that, step seven, expansion. And with
- 11:01that is typically where we see alt
- 11:03season and we see the Bitcoin dominance
- 11:05collapse. So right now we're in the step
- 11:07where we're in the wall of worry
- 11:08acknowledging that ranges do build. But
- 11:10the thing that I kept harping on over
- 11:12the past several weeks and months is
- 11:14that whole conviction thing. Because
- 11:16once we enter into those things, all of
- 11:18this excitement, all of this greed, all
- 11:20of these happy golucky feelings that we
- 11:22have, which we knew would return, they
- 11:25start to fade once you get stuck in a
- 11:27range for a little while. Pessimism
- 11:29returns. all that negative content
- 11:31returns. influencers start like hedging
- 11:34their calls and saying I don't know I
- 11:36don't know this could happen that could
- 11:37happen this could everybody starts kind
- 11:38of hedging themselves and it creates a
- 11:40lot of doubt a lot of doubt everywhere
- 11:42um there won't be any doubt here
- 11:44convictionwise you don't do these types
- 11:46of things without the bottom of the
- 11:47market already being behind us any type
- 11:49of corrections from here on out or
- 11:51considered opportunities but I think
- 11:53what will be more interesting will be to
- 11:55see is if you know we still have a
- 11:56little bit of a climb to do in here to
- 11:58get back up to the upper bound of that
- 12:00range and how much more of these
- 12:02altcoins can really push at this point.
- 12:04Um, I do think really the whole market
- 12:07would cool off in that type of event.
- 12:09And historically, this is usually just a
- 12:12Bitcoin only event and people kind of
- 12:14start screaming at the altcoins, why
- 12:16aren't we moving? Why aren't we moving?
- 12:18Uh, and then the second that thing gets
- 12:20cleared, that's where all those altcoins
- 12:22wake up and that you see moves kind of
- 12:24like what you just saw with Q&T, but you
- 12:26see them more broad-based. So, I do
- 12:28think we're still within this altcoin
- 12:30reprising, kind of the reccalibration of
- 12:32the market of the 40 to 50k calls.
- 12:35Eventually, we'll cool down for a little
- 12:36while and then it'll probably become the
- 12:38Bitcoin only show as it tries to go back
- 12:41for the all-time high. Uh, but if the
- 12:43all-time high can get cleared, uh,
- 12:45historically, at this point in time, the
- 12:48focus of this market is no longer
- 12:50Bitcoin anymore outside of the Bitcoin
- 12:52maxis, they will just scream about it.
- 12:54uh but these are the type of times where
- 12:56the tweets on things like you know XRP
- 12:59it is time you may send that's where
- 13:01those types of tweets get made. I also
- 13:03think that will happen in conjunction
- 13:04with macro markets at the same time
- 13:06specifically with IGV and I am also like
- 13:10on edge because I just think you know
- 13:12there's there's a likelihood that this
- 13:13thing is still going to keep ranging
- 13:15throughout here and it would make sense
- 13:17that Bitcoin does have that style of
- 13:19ranging behavior throughout here in the
- 13:22event that we do see more ranging take
- 13:24place in the IGV because my best guess
- 13:26on timing on when we're going to see
- 13:28Bitcoin break out is going to be with
- 13:30macro markets at the exact exact same
- 13:32time. If you've watched this channel for
- 13:34a long time, I've always held that
- 13:36belief and that's because the data has
- 13:38always supported it. And then back there
- 13:40in 2024 when the market started ripping
- 13:42and XRP, it is time you may send that it
- 13:45was all incorporating in macro at the
- 13:47exact same time. It was not a
- 13:49coincidence that it occurred when it
- 13:51happened. There was the big picture all
- 13:53tied together. There was no secrets upon
- 13:55secrets. There was no secret secret
- 13:57ledgers or bank things or ISO200022
- 14:01or Fed buybacks or special liquidity
- 14:03operations or anything like that. It it
- 14:05was really just this big picture. And so
- 14:07I'm not so certain this big picture has
- 14:09cleared itself up yet. Um, but what I
- 14:12can absolutely see on the chart of
- 14:14course and that we've monitored this
- 14:15whole time has been that we got a nice
- 14:17lead here on the IGV to get back up into
- 14:20these retracement levels and to get
- 14:22ourselves back into this rally prior to
- 14:25capitulation and that we've now been
- 14:27ranged out within that rally prior to
- 14:29capitulation in here and that it makes
- 14:31sense that Bitcoin also let me let me
- 14:33take all this off here that Bitcoin also
- 14:35is trying to get back within that same
- 14:38range and that we're working that stuff
- 14:40out do. So, it's exciting to see the
- 14:43divergence start to close itself between
- 14:45the IGV and between the crypto market.
- 14:47And but those were things that we
- 14:48acknowledged way ahead of time saying
- 14:50this market's uh diverging. And a lot of
- 14:52times what happens with uh crypton
- 14:54natives or just investors in general is
- 14:56they look at those divergences and think
- 14:57to themselves something's wrong,
- 14:59something's broken. But usually what it
- 15:00means is we have to recalibrate and we
- 15:02have to get back in lock step with what
- 15:04typically matters. And a lot of times
- 15:06what really matters in this market is
- 15:07macro. And so we're starting to see
- 15:09ourselves start to catch back up in
- 15:10there. But you can even see it in there
- 15:12that even the IGV it's really stuck
- 15:13within that range. And it's only natural
- 15:16for that precapitulation
- 15:18range to provide some type of problems
- 15:21throughout in here which is where we are
- 15:23right in now. So you know those are just
- 15:24things I have to think about when I'm
- 15:25looking out towards the future. Are we
- 15:27past the bottom? History says yes. You
- 15:29don't have a single historical example
- 15:31to look at to imply we're not beyond the
- 15:34bottom. the things we look forward to is
- 15:35to saying, "All right, when is alt
- 15:37season going to start? When are we going
- 15:38to break into new all-time highs and
- 15:40what are the things that kind of stand
- 15:41as roadblocks in our way before we can
- 15:43get there?" And our current roadblocks
- 15:45right now is going to be that range,
- 15:46which is the range that macro markets
- 15:48are dealing with at the same time. But
- 15:50when we think about those, I'm always
- 15:52trying to like lay the foundation and
- 15:53kind of like emotionally prepare people
- 15:55is that if there's a correction within
- 15:57this range, which there's typically
- 15:59always some type of long liquidation
- 16:01that happens and we get headlines, $2
- 16:02billion liquidated from the crypto
- 16:04market in 5 seconds and it's like, okay,
- 16:07good. The leverage has been wiped out of
- 16:08the system at this point and that when
- 16:10we have that happen and especially when
- 16:12we're beyond the 50week moving average,
- 16:14they're historically opportunities,
- 16:16right? So, it's a very exciting time of
- 16:19the market because yeah, prices are up,
- 16:21but people who were grabbing in
- 16:22February, people who are grabbing there
- 16:24in June and July and August, they're all
- 16:26reaping their rewards. Uh, we all enjoy
- 16:28seeing green candles show up on the
- 16:30screen, of course. And I I kind of joked
- 16:32about being like a wet blanket in my
- 16:34last video because who wants to be the
- 16:35downer when there's like green candles
- 16:37to say, "Hey, we'll probably range out.
- 16:38People will probably get scared again at
- 16:40some point." And but the thing is like
- 16:42when we get to those moments I I get so
- 16:44repetitive and people always comment on
- 16:46that and I understand it and I know I'm
- 16:48doing it when I'm doing it and but then
- 16:50when those moments come when those
- 16:51significant moments come and it's like
- 16:53dude I heard about this like 30 times.
- 16:56It's that split-second decision where
- 16:58you're you're like questioning things
- 17:00and you have this like crazy thought run
- 17:01through your head and you reflect back
- 17:03on man this was beaten down in my head
- 17:05so many times that it like saves the
- 17:07day. And so for me, the only thing I
- 17:09really care about in this market is when
- 17:11we can actually get into expansion, when
- 17:12we can get into alt season. Otherwise,
- 17:14it's a a hold on for dear life market.
- 17:17For me, it's a, you know, strengthening
- 17:19my conviction part of the market cycle
- 17:21because what we haven't seen yet, and
- 17:23you have to think about this, too, what
- 17:24we haven't seen is any type of
- 17:25correction yet, right? The last time we
- 17:27had a correction, everybody was calling
- 17:29for lower and so we don't know how the
- 17:31crowd sentiment is going to be during
- 17:32the next the next correction that comes
- 17:34up. And you're fooling yourself to think
- 17:36there won't ever be one. but there will
- 17:38and then the crowd sentiment will swap.
- 17:41And so it's about kind of being prepared
- 17:42for that moment. So I'm not trying to be
- 17:44a wet blanket and be like, "Hey, we're
- 17:45going to correct. Watch out." It's,
- 17:47"Hey, whenever we do correct, be mindful
- 17:49that the crowd sentiment is going to be
- 17:51really bad." But you have to look at the
- 17:53really big picture of everything and say
- 17:55anytime these things historically
- 17:56happen, we're beyond the bottom.
- 17:58Remember when we were looking at onchain
- 18:00data, trying to isolate the bottom? We
- 18:02were like, "Okay, Bitcoin has now hit
- 18:0410.8 million coins in a loss." Look at
- 18:06this thing. I mean it went all the way
- 18:07down to 4 million in loss. Like this is
- 18:09what happens when the market has
- 18:10reversed, right? So corrections do
- 18:12eventually come. But when we get beyond
- 18:14these things on chain, when we get
- 18:15beyond these things with technical
- 18:16indicators, whenever the breadth has
- 18:18already opened and we're we're seeing
- 18:20just random firing off happening
- 18:22throughout the altcoin market, right? It
- 18:24has signified the bottom is behind us
- 18:25and corrections are opportunities
- 18:27throughout the market. So corrections
- 18:28will come. We're going to get near a
- 18:30range here pretty soon where one could
- 18:31really develop. I think it's reasonable
- 18:33that we, you know, we could march higher
- 18:35before that range really kind of sets in
- 18:37for a longer period, but I do also
- 18:39think, right, bring that optimism after
- 18:41talking about a range eventually
- 18:42building. I do think we're going to
- 18:44recover in this market faster than
- 18:46anyone has seen in the past and the
- 18:48four-year cycles and expecting that it's
- 18:50going to take, you know, still two years
- 18:52from this moment. I just don't think
- 18:53it's going to because of macro. I think
- 18:55it there's just there's no way to me
- 18:57this is going to take two years to be
- 18:59able to break out into an all-time high.
- 19:01And I know you guys love time
- 19:02predictions, but I I also think that a
- 19:04lot of people are having a really hard
- 19:06time wrapping their head around this
- 19:07market and how it's operating, right?
- 19:08You got the 10-year yield sitting at the
- 19:10highest it's been in 20 years, right?
- 19:12You got oil prices skyrocketing, you
- 19:14know, diesel prices, right? Like people
- 19:16are having a very hard time wrapping
- 19:18their head around this market because
- 19:19they're trying to like incorporate in
- 19:21things that happened in 2013, 2017, and
- 19:242021 into this market thinking, hey,
- 19:26this is not how cycles are supposed to
- 19:27behave, right? We're supposed to see
- 19:29these expansions. were supposed to sue
- 19:30like certain things happening with the
- 19:32Fed and all this stuff. And and I've
- 19:33kept proposing that, you know, the
- 19:35reason 2023 through 2025 was so wonky is
- 19:39because there was an absence of breadth
- 19:40throughout markets. And that what
- 19:42happens is we see a consolidation of
- 19:44breadth into mega caps happen when
- 19:46you're producing a bubble in markets.
- 19:48and that this is not going to be like an
- 19:50expansionary top, but more like a
- 19:52rotating top happening in the markets
- 19:54where capital is more so just slloshing
- 19:56around and that crypto is going to have
- 19:58its turn to go flying to the upside and
- 20:00it won't look like your 2013, 2017 or
- 20:032021 models. And I certainly don't think
- 20:05it'll look like what we saw in 2025
- 20:07where there was no breadth in these
- 20:09markets because typically what you see
- 20:11in bubbles when all the money
- 20:13consolidates into the largest capped
- 20:15assets within the asset class and then
- 20:17when the bubble starts reaching its peak
- 20:19which everybody's worried about now with
- 20:21that 10-year and with diesel and
- 20:22inflation and the Fed raising rates if
- 20:24it is the true peak we're typically
- 20:26going to see some type of rotation of
- 20:28capital happen and it's going to chase
- 20:30other things and that is why this is not
- 20:32the same. And I I spent a lot of time
- 20:34harping on it in 2023, 2024, and 2025
- 20:37that this is very symbolic of what
- 20:39happens in euphoric bubbles that are
- 20:41being printed where all the money
- 20:43allocates itself into the mega caps and
- 20:45the breadth completely collapses in
- 20:47markets. And a way to think about that
- 20:49is like Bitcoin back in 2017. And I know
- 20:52so so few of you have that reference
- 20:54point to think about, but like what we
- 20:56saw happen in the cryptocurrency market
- 20:57is that, you know, Bitcoin goes and
- 20:59breaks into its all-time high over in
- 21:01here and actually goes into an
- 21:03expansion. And like a thing to think
- 21:05about is like with XRP, right? So it
- 21:07gets into an expansion and XRP goes
- 21:10moonshots and breaks through its
- 21:12all-time high, right? As the expansion
- 21:14is actually taking place, this is where
- 21:16XRP can finally clear through its
- 21:18all-time high and go into a bull run,
- 21:20right? and it goes from, you know, a
- 21:21half of a cent to, you know, 38 cents.
- 21:24But then what happens from here and for
- 21:25the rest of 2017, right? This is like
- 21:28the first alt season. Then Bitcoin keeps
- 21:30going. All the capital gets sucked into
- 21:33Bitcoin as XRP tops over here, you know,
- 21:3638. The capital gets absolutely sucked
- 21:39into Bitcoin and it continues here from,
- 21:41you know, $2,000 all the way up to, you
- 21:44know, $17,000.
- 21:46And then we enter into a rotating top
- 21:49and the money starts to shift over there
- 21:51into the altcoin market. And so it's not
- 21:53unusual to see these types of bubbles
- 21:54get printed where the capital gets
- 21:56siphoned into the mega caps, which is
- 21:58what happened in macro markets that it
- 22:00was only the mega caps sucking in all
- 22:03the capital while we couldn't get it
- 22:05down in here. And so I don't know the
- 22:06point of this really long ramble is this
- 22:08video is already way too long already is
- 22:09to say I don't think it's going to take
- 22:11as long as what we've seen in past
- 22:13cycles. And I think everybody's having
- 22:14their a hard time wrapping their head
- 22:16around this stuff because they're
- 22:17looking at 10-year yields. They're
- 22:18looking at diesel prices. They're
- 22:20looking at Fed future rate hikes.
- 22:22They're looking at this way, that way. I
- 22:23wonder why won't it look like 2013,
- 22:252017, 2021? Why did 2025 look so
- 22:28different? And I I just think that they
- 22:30haven't studied bubbles and yeah, all
- 22:33that stuff of the, you know, inflation
- 22:35and diesel prices and the Fed and
- 22:3710-year yields, they are probably
- 22:39signaling long-term problems. But what
- 22:42happens is when we get to these peaks of
- 22:45these markets, which can lead to 20-year
- 22:47long bare markets, there's usually a lot
- 22:49of nutty behavior that happens at the
- 22:51top of them. And that's been my theory
- 22:53all along. And so, I don't think anybody
- 22:55who's looking for a clean expansion of
- 22:57the Russell and the NASDAQ and pretty
- 22:59happy golucky stuff is going to get what
- 23:01they're looking for. Their modeling is
- 23:03going to get them. They're going to have
- 23:04to think abstractly and think about
- 23:06bubbles and and that's what we've been
- 23:07doing on this channel. So, I don't want
- 23:09to sit here and say we're going to go
- 23:10much higher. we're going to do it a lot
- 23:12faster because of um no it's a
- 23:14long-standing thesis that I've had that
- 23:16I don't think most people have
- 23:18acknowledged and I don't think it's what
- 23:20people recognize at the peak of the
- 23:21market in 2024 and 2025 is that the
- 23:24breadth was completely dead and the
- 23:26reason that happens is because it
- 23:28happens when bubbles are being printed
- 23:30and when bubbles are being printed
- 23:31especially that magnitude where you see
- 23:33the capital get all siphoned into the
- 23:34mega caps there tends to be a rotation
- 23:36that happens at the end of that and I do
- 23:38think we will be recipients of that and
- 23:40I think it'll happen much faster than 2
- 23:42years from right now. And the pace we're
- 23:44going at currently right now tells me
- 23:45that's true, too. So, we have two
- 23:47consecutive weeks of continuing to close
- 23:49higher above the 50week moving average.
- 23:52Corrections will eventually come. Crowd
- 23:54sentiment will change eventually.
- 23:56However, our mindsets will be this is
- 23:59what we always expect to happen at this
- 24:01phase of the market. beyond
- 24:03capitulation, beyond crashing final
- 24:05liquidations, beyond breaking through
- 24:08the 50week moving average with the daily
- 24:10breadth finally opening corrections
- 24:12historically are opportunities once we
- 24:14get to these phases and we're just not
- 24:15going to be blind to the idea that they
- 24:17will eventually come. But I mean, in the
- 24:19meantime, what is there to do except sit
- 24:21there and kind of enjoy the green
- 24:22candles as they show up? For me, there's
- 24:24no action to take here right now except
- 24:26hold on for dear life. And that's just
- 24:28what I'm going to continue to do. So
- 24:30until we start seeing some like really
- 24:32obvious signs of a correction or
- 24:34something like that, that'll just kind
- 24:35of be the thing that we're in right now.
- 24:37Hey, things continue to march up. They
- 24:39look good. Corrections will probably
- 24:40come. We're looking for signs of them. I
- 24:42don't personally see any obvious signs
- 24:44right now. So until I do, I'll point
- 24:48them out. Otherwise, they it just looks
- 24:50fine. So hopefully you're doing well in
- 24:52this market, and we'll just kind of keep
- 24:53taking the punches as they come. But
- 24:55otherwise, I hope that you had an
- 24:56absolutely wonderful weekend. Um, I've
- 24:58been working on the next newsletter.
- 25:00It'll be published there on Wednesday.
- 25:02So, that's 2 days from today. Uh, in the
- 25:04meantime, of course, you can check out
- 25:05the one that has been published over
- 25:07here at blockchainbacker.substack.com.
- 25:09And of course, you get access to all the
- 25:10past ones as well. I do audio record all
- 25:13of these after they're put together. The
- 25:15last one was talking about the altcoin
- 25:16leaders. Really kind of comparing the
- 25:18different stuff between developer
- 25:19activity, utility, percentage draw
- 25:21downs, top 20 by market cap, and
- 25:23blockchains that when there's token
- 25:24demand, it leads to value acrruel. and
- 25:27which tokens those are from the top 50
- 25:28that do that. There's a link down here
- 25:30in the description of this video to the
- 25:32newsletter at
- 25:32blockchainbacker.substack.com.
- 25:34Otherwise, guys, I hope that you're
- 25:36doing well. You should be. But all
- 25:37right, that's going to be it. Thank you
- 25:38so much for watching. If you could,
- 25:40please like this video and give it a
- 25:42thumbs up. If you're new to the channel,
- 25:43please subscribe and hit the
- 25:45notification bell so you can be notified
- 25:47of when I create new content and when I
- 25:48go live. As always, this is not
- 25:50investment advice and I am not a
- 25:52financial adviser, but if you ever need
- 25:54a pickme up or a little bit of
- 25:56reassurance, just remember that the
- 25:58blockchain backers got your back. Have a
- 26:01good one.
