- 0:01No more rationalizing, no more reasons,
- 0:05no more distractions.
- 0:08>> I dare you to shut out the world.
- 0:10I dare [music] you to give up everything
- 0:12that is keeping you from your dream.
- 0:15>> [ __ ] the clubs, [music]
- 0:16[ __ ] the partying, [ __ ] the hanging out
- 0:19and getting drunk.
- 0:20Now is the time to [music] stay focused.
- 0:23If it's going to happen, it's going to
- 0:25be you that makes it happen.
- 0:28>> The only [ __ ] thing that beats
- 0:30you is you. The only thing that can stop
- 0:33you is you.
- 0:35>> And most of y'all are not in the
- 0:36covenant. And covenant means meaning you
- 0:38if THE COMPANY GO DOWN, we go down with
- 0:40it. WE DO NOT RETREAT. WE DO NOT GIVE
- 0:43UP. WE DO NOT SURRENDER. And the reason
- 0:45why most of you are not SUCCESSFUL IS
- 0:47BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE TIME STUFF NOT
- 0:49GOING YOUR WAY, YOU GIVE UP. YOU QUIT.
- 0:51YOU LET GO. AND PEOPLE FEEL WEAKNESS.
- 0:53THEY FEEL IT. YOU CAN FEEL WHEN
- 0:55SOMEBODY'S NOT COMMITTED, WHEN THEY'RE
- 0:57not all in, when they're not dedicated.
- 0:59And there's another level you get to
- 1:01when you go all in.
- 1:02>> Everything is a test. Everything is an
- 1:06opportunity if you allow it to be.
- 1:10>> You must shrink your focus down [music]
- 1:12to one thing, one business, one focus at
- 1:14one time and master it and get great out
- 1:17of it for an extended period of time.
- 1:18The more you shrink your options in
- 1:20pursuit of your dream, the more it'll
- 1:21open them up in your life later. What
- 1:23are the things that are stealing your
- 1:24focus? Who are the people that are
- 1:26stealing your focus? And begin to
- 1:27eliminate these distractions. Get
- 1:29[music] laser focused and obsessed on
- 1:31what you want. Be starving and hungry to
- 1:34get it. Be desperate to get it. The
- 1:35combination of desperation and hunger
- 1:38with laser focus over an extended period
- 1:41of time is the formula to be [music]
- 1:44great at something.
- 1:45>> And the only way you prove to yourself
- 1:47that you really want it is that you no
- 1:49longer hit the snooze button. [music]
- 1:51You no longer lose focus when you're
- 1:52studying. You no longer take shortcuts.
- 1:55You no longer playing games. You are
- 1:58willing to do whatever it takes. I'll do
- 2:01whatever it takes to get to that
- 2:02milestone.
- 2:03>> When you build [music] this mental
- 2:05toughness by looking at every little
- 2:08thing as a test of your will and your
- 2:10ability to do what you say you're going
- 2:13to do, your life is going [music] to get
- 2:16better.
- 2:18>> Stop waiting for something to move you,
- 2:19move yourself. Every day move yourself.
- 2:22In the morning move yourself. In the
- 2:23afternoon move yourself. At night move
- 2:25yourself. Be very intentional and very
- 2:28deliberate about moving yourself. You
- 2:31control your feelings. Don't let nobody
- 2:32else control your feelings. So when you
- 2:33tell ME I AIN'T FEELING IT NO MORE, IT
- 2:35DON'T GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH SOMETHING
- 2:36EXTERNAL, IT'S SOMETHING INTERNAL THAT
- 2:38YOU AIN'T PUSHING NO MORE. YOU PUSH YOU.
- 2:40You got to move YOU EVERY SINGLE DAY. IF
- 2:44YOU GET TO A POINT IN YOUR DAY AND YOU
- 2:45DIALING OUT, if you get to a point in
- 2:47your DAY AND YOU EXHAUSTED, YOU GET TO A
- 2:49POINT IN YOUR DAY AND YOU not feeling
- 2:51it, you can stop RIGHT THERE AND CHANGE
- 2:52THE MOOD. Nothing controls you. You
- 2:55control your feelings. You control YOUR
- 2:57MOOD. [music] DON'T LET CONTROL YOUR
- 2:58MOOD. You saw SOMETHING THAT THREW YOU
- 3:00OFF, WELL SEE SOMETHING THAT THROW YOU
- 3:01BACK ON.
- 3:02>> THE only way to get out of the mental
- 3:04trap is to start and gain [music] and
- 3:06actually start doing it. Because all the
- 3:08research shows that if we can push you
- 3:09to get started on something, you'll
- 3:11likely keep going.
- 3:13>> Little things you're putting [music]
- 3:14off, do it. And do it right now. When
- 3:16you make a decision to do something, you
- 3:18flip your brain [music] onto the
- 3:19frequency that you have to be on to do
- 3:21it. You don't have to know how to do it.
- 3:23You only have to know you're going to do
- 3:24it.
- 3:25>> Just commit that you wake up and every
- 3:27single damn day you push yourself taking
- 3:29one small action forward.
- 3:31>> There's always going to be a reason to
- 3:32wait. There's always going to be
- 3:33something that is [music] inconvenient
- 3:35for you to work through. There's always
- 3:36going to be a busy schedule. It's always
- 3:38GOING TO BE THAT WAY. You have to
- 3:40[ __ ] work through [music] it. There's
- 3:41always going to be a reason for you to
- 3:43do what it takes now if you want it bad
- 3:46enough. But a lot of you [ __ ]
- 3:48just don't want it. Unless you're
- 3:49committed 100%, you just aren't going to
- 3:51make it. The processes of success are
- 3:54always inconvenient in the beginning.
- 3:55[music] They don't stay that way. If you
- 3:58stick with it, if you give it time, if
- 4:00you work through the inconveniences,
- 4:02[music] they become habit. It's just
- 4:04something automatic. And if you can
- 4:06create automatic actions [music] that
- 4:08are positive in your life, you're going
- 4:10to create automatic winning.
- 4:15>> People thought their lives what you got
- 4:17give up
- 4:18to become great. What sacrifices you got
- 4:21to make to become great? What promises
- 4:23you got to make to yourself to become
- 4:26great? Greatness ain't a thought
- 4:27process.
- 4:29Greatness is a lifestyle. It's what you
- 4:31give. It's what you get. Think great.
- 4:34>> If you want to take the island, burn the
- 4:37boats. As if there's no way to go back.
- 4:39It's amazing what happens when it's a
- 4:41must versus a should. Clarity is power.
- 4:44The more clear you are about exactly
- 4:46what it is you want, the more your brain
- 4:48knows how to get there.
- 4:49>> Don't stop. Narrow your focus to one
- 4:52[music] idea. One. Make it your priority
- 4:55and stick with it no matter what.
- 4:57>> Your mind will say, "Okay, we're going
- 4:59to figure it out
- 5:00>> because he is not going to stop. I don't
- 5:03know one [ __ ] that is successful
- 5:05that doesn't take inventory of every
- 5:08[ __ ] comment that anybody has ever
- 5:10made to them. Every time somebody doubts
- 5:13them, they get [ __ ] pissed. And when
- 5:16they get pissed, they go out and do
- 5:18productive things. They don't dwell.
- 5:20They don't sit at home crying their
- 5:22beer. They go to the gym. They get their
- 5:24business plan together. They do whatever
- 5:26the [ __ ] it takes to smash people in the
- 5:29[ __ ] [music] mouth with their
- 5:30progress. Build the kind of life that
- 5:33says I told you so without having to say
- 5:35a [ __ ] word. It's about taking what
- 5:38people say you can't do and shoving it
- 5:40down their [ __ ] throat. 100 to
- 5:42[ __ ] nothing.
- 5:44>> AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEAST AND
- 5:46AVERAGE PEOPLE IS THAT AVERAGE PEOPLE
- 5:48LIVE FROM CHECK TO CHECK. AVERAGE PEOPLE
- 5:50DON'T THINK ABOUT THEIR FUTURE. THEY'RE
- 5:51CONSUMED WITH THE PRESENT.
- 5:53>> YOU'RE NOT going to be the best if
- 5:55you're not [music] intentional and
- 5:56deliberate.
- 5:57>> YOU GOT TO BE INTENTIONAL AND
- 5:58DELIBERATE. WHETHER YOU'RE MAKING MONEY
- 5:59OR NOT MAKING MONEY, YOU GOT TO DECIDE
- 6:01THAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO SOMETHING AND
- 6:02YOU GOT TO DO IT EVERY MONDAY, every
- 6:04Tuesday, every Wednesday, every
- 6:05Thursday. The problem with some OF YOU
- 6:06IN THIS ROOM, YOU'RE NOT INTENTIONAL AND
- 6:08DELIBERATE. YOU'RE A GOOD PERSON that
- 6:10just hopes that good stuff is going to
- 6:11happen to you.
- 6:11>> You got [music] to be a morning person,
- 6:13afternoon person, night person. You got
- 6:15to be when you feel good person, when
- 6:16you sick person, when you TIRED PERSON.
- 6:19>> I'M WIRED DIFFERENTLY. I LOOK AT MY WIFE
- 6:22EVERY SINGLE DAY AND I SAID I GOT TO
- 6:24GRIND. [music] I GOT TO GRIND FOR MY
- 6:25WIFE AND SO I EXECUTE FOR my mom. I
- 6:28execute for my grandma. I execute for my
- 6:30sister. That's why [music] I can't quit
- 6:32and give up even though I get tired just
- 6:34like everybody else.
- 6:35>> You have to be relentless. You have to
- 6:37never let off the gas, never stop, never
- 6:40quit. People who are extremely well
- 6:43accomplished, they have the ability to
- 6:44mentally flip that switch to where they
- 6:47don't [music] have a choice but to do
- 6:49the things they need to do. They will
- 6:51talk as if they don't succeed, the world
- 6:54is going to end.
- 6:55>> Listen to me, this is how you do it
- 6:57first with no money, no human [music]
- 6:59resources, no building, no funding, no
- 7:02support. The first thing we did was we
- 7:04dreamed, we wrote the dream down, we
- 7:06slept the dream, we ate the dream, we
- 7:08rehearsed the dream, we looked at the
- 7:10dream, WE TALKED ABOUT [music] THE
- 7:11DREAM, WE SLEPT WITH THE DREAM, WE WOKE
- 7:14UP TO THE DREAM, WE WORE the dream and
- 7:16now boom, it's all reality.
- 7:18>> You want some?
- 7:19>> You make up your mind.
- 7:20>> And yes, it's going to be hard and it's
- 7:21going to be difficult and you'll get
- 7:22more no's than you do yes, but when you
- 7:25hold out, THINGS WILL BEGIN TO HAPPEN
- 7:27YOU WON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND. HOW?
- 7:29>> And you don't get here by quitting when
- 7:31you tired. You get here by quitting when
- 7:33you finished, when you done. YOU DON'T
- 7:35STOP WHEN YOU TIRED. YOU STOP WHEN YOU
- 7:37DONE. YOU STOP WHEN you completed when
- 7:39you executed. [music]
- 7:41Execution is worship.
- 7:46>> The battle
- 7:47The battle is actually
- 7:49in your head.
- 7:51You're not going to hear noises. You're
- 7:53not going to hear gunfire. You're not
- 7:54going to hear any explosions.
- 7:56It's not that kind of battle.
- 7:58What's in your head is weakness and
- 8:00laziness.
- 8:02>> [music]
- 8:02>> And they're not attacking.
- 8:05They're sneaking around.
- 8:08They're poisoning
- 8:10the strength in your brain.
- 8:13You are putting things off because in
- 8:16the short term
- 8:17it's easier, it's more comfortable, it's
- 8:20more pleasurable to be distracted or to
- 8:23indulge yourself doing something else
- 8:25than it is to sit down and do the actual
- 8:28work to create the outputs that matter
- 8:31when they are needed.
- 8:32And I know what it's like to tell
- 8:33yourself, "I'm going to start on
- 8:35Monday." And then for the next 5 days,
- 8:38you gorge yourself or you're extra lazy
- 8:40or you treat yourself extra much because
- 8:43you know you're going to do it this time
- 8:45and this time I'm serious and this time
- 8:46I'm for real and I'm going to get it
- 8:48done. Except you're not. And you know
- 8:50you're not. And if you really wanted to
- 8:52change and if you really want to make a
- 8:54change and you really want to be
- 8:55different and you really want it to be
- 8:56this time, start [ __ ] now.
- 8:59I don't care if it's 9:00 at night. Do
- 9:01something productive towards what it is
- 9:04you're trying to become because I can
- 9:07tell you right now for sure that the
- 9:09people who tell themselves, "I'm going
- 9:11to start Monday." never [music] [ __ ]
- 9:14start Monday.
- 9:15All you have to do to kill
- 9:17procrastination
- 9:19is just start. You just go. And
- 9:21procrastination dies.
- 9:23>> [music]
- 9:23>> So don't wonder how you overcome
- 9:25procrastination. It's easy.
- 9:28All you do to overcome procrastination
- 9:31is go.
- 9:33>> You've got to activate the thinker in
- 9:35you. Don't allow your emotions to
- 9:37control you. We are emotional, but you
- 9:39want to begin to discipline your
- 9:41emotion. If you don't discipline and
- 9:44contain your emotions, they will use
- 9:46you. Prove to yourself today, every
- 9:49[music] day, that you can and will push
- 9:52harder than you want to [music] do,
- 9:54harder than you felt like pushing, past
- 9:57the point of fatigue and far beyond the
- 9:59point of comfort [music] to that outer
- 10:01edge with every ounce of grit and
- 10:04tenacity. It's where you cross that
- 10:06line, that threshold, THROUGH THE
- 10:09SUFFERING. YOUR BODY AND MIND WILL
- 10:11ALWAYS ADJUST to more suffering, to more
- 10:13pain. [music]
- 10:13Your mind quits way before your body
- 10:15does. So, you have to be willing to go
- 10:17way in that darkness
- 10:18>> [music]
- 10:18>> and find more yourself. Regardless of
- 10:20what's in front of you, you still must
- 10:22grind. I fail at most things I do, but
- 10:25still I grind. I don't want to do half
- 10:27the stuff I do,
- 10:28>> [music]
- 10:28>> but still I grind. And that one day, you
- 10:31see me in a dark alley, running at 1:00
- 10:33in the morning, no one playing, I was
- 10:35grinding. Where are the warriors that
- 10:38say, "I'm going to make a decision and
- 10:40I'm keeping it." And regardless of how
- 10:42you feel about it, it doesn't matter if
- 10:44the world is crumbling down around you.
- 10:46It doesn't matter what's happening. Just
- 10:49do the thing every
- 10:51>> [music]
- 10:51>> single day, whether you feel like it or
- 10:54not. "Oh, I don't feel so good today."
- 10:56Get your lazy, sick ass up out of bed.
- 10:58Your only commitment is
- 11:00>> [music]
- 11:00>> to the activity, not to the grand
- 11:02scheme, not to the big picture, not to
- 11:04the implications of what it is that
- 11:05you're doing. It's [music] to do the
- 11:07thing. It's what you just going to do
- 11:08every single day that matters more than
- 11:10anything. Devote yourself to something
- 11:12bigger. [music] Be decisive about what
- 11:14you're going to do. And then be
- 11:15disciplined about getting it done every
- 11:17single day, whether you feel like it
- 11:19or not.
- 11:26If you stay in bed, if you stay on the
- 11:29couch, if you stay in your comfort zone,
- 11:32if you only do what is easy, your life
- 11:36will be hard. But if you do what is
- 11:38hard, if you get up, if you grind, if
- 11:41you are relentless, if you work as hard
- 11:43as possible when other people are
- 11:45slacking off, your life will be easy.
- 11:49>> Easy does it pay well. Choose the hard
- 11:52path, the path of responsibility, hard
- 11:55work, and sacrifice that ultimately
- 11:59leads to freedom.
- 12:00>> Too tired, too hungry, too sore, too
- 12:04hot, too cold, too whatever.
- 12:07>> People ask me what I do when I get those
- 12:10little feelings running around. Well,
- 12:12let me tell you what I don't do. I don't
- 12:14tell everybody. As a matter of fact, I
- 12:17don't even let those words run around
- 12:19inside my own brain housing group. I
- 12:21keep it secure.
- 12:22>> LOCK IT DOWN.
- 12:24>> It doesn't matter how I'm doing. It
- 12:26doesn't matter how I slept last night.
- 12:28It doesn't matter how I feel. It doesn't
- 12:29matter when the last time I ate. It
- 12:32doesn't matter cuz I'm going to go get
- 12:33some.
- 12:34>> Are you going to work out today? Yes or
- 12:37no? Are you going to win? Yes or no?
- 12:41Make the binary toad decision. Yes or
- 12:44no?
- 12:45>> It's a commitment. It's not a feeling.
- 12:47Don't let me start having TO DEAL WITH
- 12:49YOUR FEELINGS. YOU DO IT BECAUSE YOU'RE
- 12:51SUPPOSED TO.
- 12:52>> [music]
- 12:52>> Your mind is your strongest weapon, but
- 12:54you must take control of it. You have to
- 12:56tell [music] your brain where you want
- 12:57to go. When your brain tells you to give
- 12:59in, you push forward. When it tells you
- 13:01to take the day off,
- 13:02>> [music]
- 13:02>> you go harder. Don't allow your weak
- 13:05feelings to dictate where you end up in
- 13:07your life.
- 13:09>> Effort is isolated. [music]
- 13:10Nobody can dictate. Effort is 100% in
- 13:13the mind.
- 13:14>> Don't give in. Don't be like everybody
- 13:16else. Don't [music] give up. Don't
- 13:18settle because things are hard. Don't
- 13:20let people talk you into their life.
- 13:22Become stronger. [music]
- 13:23Become better. Become faster. Become
- 13:26smarter. Become more productive.
- 13:28>> [music]
- 13:28>> What does a $500,000 a year person do
- 13:31that a $50,000 a year person doesn't do?
- 13:33He pays the price and a little bit more.
- 13:35He works hard and a little bit more. He
- 13:38bleeds and a little bit more. He makes
- 13:40money and a little bit more. He saves
- 13:41[music] money and a little bit more.
- 13:43They do it and do it and do it until the
- 13:46job gets done.
- 13:48If you want to become somebody, do it.
- 13:51If you want to go in business for
- 13:52yourself, [music]
- 13:53do it. If you want to become financially
- 13:55independent, do it. You do it and do it
- 13:58and do it. You are phenomenal. You are
- 14:02beyond measure. I need you to act like
- 14:03it. No alarm clock needed. My passion
- 14:06wakes me up. My drive wakes me up. My
- 14:09determination wakes My ability to be,
- 14:11DO, AND ACT WHATEVER I WANT, it wakes ME
- 14:13UP. I AIN'T ABOUT TO MISS this
- 14:15opportunity. [music] I'm about to get
- 14:16everything I got. And I will know if I
- 14:18don't get another gig, it won't have
- 14:20anything to do with the fact that I
- 14:21didn't put everything on the field. It's
- 14:23full throttle or no champagne bottle.
- 14:29You are not where you're supposed to be
- 14:31because of you.
- 14:32It's all you.
- 14:35You tell yourself lies,
- 14:37reasons.
- 14:39I'm too tired. I need to rest. [music]
- 14:41I'm too hungry. I'm too full. Something
- 14:44else is more important. I don't have
- 14:47time. Lies. Lies. Lies. Lies. People ask
- 14:52where discipline comes from. I tell them
- 14:55it comes from needing. But there's ego
- 14:57level. Discipline comes from the truth.
- 15:00The framework of discipline.
- 15:03And if you lie to yourself, you will not
- 15:05find discipline. The truth is that you
- 15:08know. You know you could do more. You
- 15:11know you could be more. That's what's
- 15:13driving you crazy. All your excuses are
- 15:17lies. The truth will set you free. The
- 15:20truth delivers discipline. And the truth
- 15:23is you have time. You have the skill.
- 15:27You have the knowledge and the willpower
- 15:30and the discipline to get it done. Don't
- 15:33really want to work out? I work out.
- 15:35Don't really want to hammer on a
- 15:37project? I hammer on a project. Don't
- 15:40really want to get up and get out of
- 15:42bed? I get up and get out of bed. Don't
- 15:46give in to the immediate [music]
- 15:48gratification
- 15:49that is whispering in your ear. Shut
- 15:52that down. Do not listen. Instead, go
- 15:55through the motions. Lift the weights.
- 15:57Sprint the hill. Work on the projects.
- 15:59[music] Get out of bed.
- 16:01>> The ability to be resilient towards your
- 16:03dreams, to keep marching on when the
- 16:06struggle, the strife, the trial, [music]
- 16:07the turmoil, the chaos, the frustration,
- 16:10the hurt, the anger, the disappointment,
- 16:12the shame, the regret, the
- 16:14embarrassment. When all that is there
- 16:16and you keep marching on, you know
- 16:19you'll be a successful person. It's the
- 16:21ability to be optimistic enough to know
- 16:24this too shall pass.
- 16:27This time shall change.
- 16:30I will find a way. I will honor my truth
- 16:34[music] and keep pursuing my dreams
- 16:37thick and thin, storm or night. I will
- 16:41maintain my march.
- 16:45That is something [music] that is built
- 16:47and ingrained in every successful
- 16:48person. Not because they were lucky with
- 16:50it. Not because they grew up with it.
- 16:52Because they developed it. It's a style
- 16:55they developed. By doing it once, they
- 16:56did it again, they did it again, they
- 16:58did it again. The more bold and
- 16:59courageous you are, the more bold and
- 17:02courageous you'll be in the future. The
- 17:04more confident you are today, the more
- 17:05confident you'll be in the future. The
- 17:07more you overcome yesterday's struggles
- 17:10today, the more you'll be able to
- 17:11overcome the bigger struggles tomorrow.
- 17:14Never forget these things. Keep
- 17:17marching.
- 17:18>> Nobody wakes up in the morning every day
- 17:21of their life fired up. The reason I'm
- 17:23successful is because I execute whether
- 17:25I have the [ __ ] fire or whether I
- 17:27don't have the [ __ ] fire. And that's
- 17:29discipline. That's discipline to do the
- 17:32[ __ ] that you don't want to do because
- 17:34you know it needs to be [ __ ] done.
- 17:36>> Why not try it, man? Shock the system.
- 17:39Get up at 4:00 in the [ __ ] morning
- 17:40one day, just one day, and go for a
- 17:42[ __ ] run. Commit to one day and see
- 17:44how you feel as you're jogging it back
- 17:46in around 5:00 or something as your
- 17:48neighbors are still asleep. Well, your
- 17:50day's already provided something for
- 17:51you. Mentally, you'll feel like, "Wow,
- 17:53man, that was a [ __ ] alive."
- 17:55>> When everybody else says, "No, this is
- 17:57not comfortable. We shouldn't do this."
- 17:58You say, "Yes, [ __ ] I'm going
- 17:59to introduce myself to it."
- 18:01>> When we talk about regret, I can 1,000%
- 18:04guarantee you that how you feel about
- 18:07your life at the end of your time here
- 18:09is going to come down to your ability to
- 18:11cultivate discipline. It's going to come
- 18:13down to you developing the ability to do
- 18:17the things that you don't feel [music]
- 18:18like doing because you know that it's
- 18:20the right thing to [ __ ] do.
- 18:22>> Because we are what we repeatedly do
- 18:25every day.
- 18:25>> Therefore, excellence is not an
- 18:27accident, but a habit. It's habitual.
- 18:30It's in us every single day. The people
- 18:31that are top movie stars over and over
- 18:33and over again, they're not lucky. They
- 18:35train it, they win it, they earn it over
- 18:38and over again.
- 18:38>> So, THOSE DAYS YOU DON'T WANT TO DO IT,
- 18:40JUST WHAT YOU GOT TO DO, YOU GOT TO SUCK
- 18:42IT THE [ __ ] UP AND DO IT.
