  1. 0:02hi everyone well as you probably know at
  2. 0:04this time of the year I usually put out
  3. 0:06a tribute video to the um to the Apollo
  4. 0:08one and the and the spa columia and
  5. 0:11Challenger astronauts but uh
  6. 0:13unfortunately I won't it appears I won't
  7. 0:15be able to do so this year my computer
  8. 0:17is currently being repaired and I'm out
  9. 0:19of action now as a result of it in fact
  10. 0:21I'm recording this video on my Samsung
  11. 0:23Galaxy Tab here but I'd like to take
  12. 0:25this opportunity to um to say some words
  13. 0:27that I prepared um as some you already
  14. 0:30know I had interviewed Roger boay prior
  15. 0:32to his death last year boay was the
  16. 0:34engineer at fireal Morton fireal the
  17. 0:37company that that built the CH the the
  18. 0:39space shut uh solid rocket boosters Bo
  19. 0:43was the man who tried to prevent the
  20. 0:44Challenger from launching in in cold
  21. 0:46weather because he knew that it would be
  22. 0:48catastrophic I interviewed him over the
  23. 0:50phone about this a long time ago and uh
  24. 0:53while his talk was mostly about the
  25. 0:54Challenger he also discussed the the
  26. 0:56Apollo 1 and space St Columbia disasters
  27. 0:59too
  28. 1:00I'm currently in the process of uh
  29. 1:02putting that documentary together using
  30. 1:03his audio I've I've lined his audio up
  31. 1:06in sequence with with my narration and
  32. 1:08I'm I'm currently in the process of
  33. 1:10adding the appropriate visual aid I've
  34. 1:12got I've got lots of stock footage and
  35. 1:14papers and documents from from the
  36. 1:16investigation as well as um as photos
  37. 1:19that Bo had sent me prior to his death
  38. 1:22um there are some scenes that will have
  39. 1:24to be reenacted like the um like the
  40. 1:26teleconference between NASA and um and
  41. 1:28fireal prior to the launch they held
  42. 1:30they had held a a telecon on the night
  43. 1:33before the launch NASA and um and fire
  44. 1:35call fire call was trying to Pro trying
  45. 1:36to prevent uh the challenge of disaster
  46. 1:39and NASA they were basically effectively
  47. 1:42telling them to sit down and shut up and
  48. 1:44um i' I'd also like to take like to like
  49. 1:47to add that um the interview is um in
  50. 1:50the in the documentary the interview is
  51. 1:51virtually uncut obviously um obviously I
  52. 1:54added out the occasional ER and um but
  53. 1:56um and added some narration here and
  54. 1:58there but but n theless you'll be
  55. 2:00getting um Bo's talk from from start to
  56. 2:03finish and uh so that that film should
  57. 2:05be out later this year I'll be releasing
  58. 2:07it on um DVD I don't have a release date
  59. 2:10set just yet but um I'll keep you all
  60. 2:12posted and um hopefully you'll enjoy it
