0:11Genesis
0:12chapter number 8 verse 8 through13 and
0:16stand to your feet for the reading of
0:18God's word. Genesis chapter number 8
0:21verse 8 through13.
0:24Then we're going over into Ephesians I
0:27think 4 and 30.
0:40Thank you, Jesus.
0:45Amen.
0:47Genesis 8 and 8.
0:50We're going to read the 8th through the
0:5112th verse and then we're going to
0:54Ephesians 4
0:57and 30.
0:59>> [screaming]
1:01>> Ain't it the truth.
1:07Let's begin reading at the eth verse
1:09together as a family. And he sent forth
1:12a dove from him to see if the waters
1:16were abaded from off the face of the
1:20ground. But the dove found no rest for
1:23the soul of her foot. and she returned
1:27unto him into the ark, for the waters
1:30were on the face of the whole earth.
1:32[snorts]
1:33Then he put forth his hand, and took
1:36her, and pulled her in unto him into the
1:40ark. And he stayed yet another seven
1:44days. And again he sent forth the dove
1:48out of the ark. And the dove came into
1:51him in the evening, and lo, in her mouth
1:55was an olive leaf plucked off. So Noah
1:59knew that the waters were abaded from
2:02off the earth. And he stayed yet other
2:06seven days, and sent forth the dove,
2:09which returned not again unto him
2:13>> anymore. Can you say amen?
2:16>> Amen.
2:16>> Now look at Ephesians 4.
2:20and 30.
2:31When you have it, say amen.
2:32>> Amen.
2:34>> Let us read together. And grieve not the
2:37Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are
2:41sealed unto the day of redemption.
2:47Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God,
2:51whereby ye are sealed unto the day of
2:57redemption. Remain standing. We're going
2:58to pray, but for the next few moments,
3:02we want to contemplate the subject
3:06when the dove cries.
3:11When the dove
3:14cries,
3:17let's pray.
3:19Spirit of God,
3:22maximize this moment.
3:26Let nothing be done in vanity.
3:30[clears throat]
3:33We have not gathered here to hear a man.
3:38>> We have come to hear you.
3:42If you don't speak tonight,
3:46>> then all of the fanfare and the pressing
3:48is in vain.
3:51We are hungry
3:54for the progressive proceeding word
3:57that cometh out of your mouth.
4:01Speak tonight.
4:03>> Somebody's got a question on the altar.
4:07>> Give an answer tonight.
4:10While we're here, Lord, just bless this
4:12house
4:14even the more abundantly with your
4:17glory.
4:18In fact, let it rain in here.
4:22Let the spirit of God send a deluge and
4:25a flood.
4:27Saturate us with glory
4:30do a new thing in us. We thank you. We
4:34thank you.
4:36You haven't even spoke yet, but we thank
4:37you in advance.
4:40Your credit is good with us. We'll thank
4:43you now. You can work it out later. We
4:46believe you for it in Jesus name. Amen.
4:49Give him a praise, somebody. [applause]
4:53Yes.
4:54Give him a little credit tonight.
4:58[applause]
5:00You may be seated.
5:05in the presence
5:08of the Lord. Do not grieve
5:11the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are
5:13sealed unto the day of redemption.
5:18While reading through some religious
5:20material that was prepared by
5:23uh some scholars from the Jehovah
5:26Witness,
5:27I stumbled upon a definition
5:31uh that they gave for the Holy Spirit
5:35which they defined in this particular
5:39journal as the active force of God.
5:46Initially, it sounded pretty good
5:50until I began to really meditate over
5:53the concept
5:54and I began to realize
5:57that if you define the Holy Spirit as
5:59the active force of God, you reduce him
6:03down to wind
6:06or rain
6:08or storms
6:10or any other force of nature,
6:14electricity,
6:17uncction.
6:19The Holy Spirit is not merely an it,
6:26>> not a mindless contortion,
6:29a force.
6:32It is referred to correctly as he.
6:38It is dangerous when we rob him of his
6:42personhood
6:45because when we lose sight of his
6:46personhood, we lose sight of his
6:49personality.
6:51For a force is mindless
6:54and has no intelligence at all.
6:57>> It is controlled by whatever contraption
7:00you build to house it.
7:03But God is intelligent.
7:06He is an all- wise, all knowing God.
7:09Omnisient
7:11>> already knows what we're trying to
7:14figure out.
7:16>> Sovereign God
7:18having all power
7:21apiciously reigning and ruling in the
7:23heavenlies. When he manifest himself on
7:27our behalf in the earth realm, he moves
7:30as the person of the Holy Spirit. But
7:34don't be confused,
7:36oh Israel. The Lord thy God is one, and
7:41beside
7:44him
7:45there is no
7:49other.
7:49>> Hallelujah.
7:53The first thing the book says
7:57about the Holy Spirit, the first thing
8:00it brings before us,
8:03the law of first mention.
8:07In the beginning, God created the heaven
8:08and the earth, and the earth was without
8:10form. And boy, darkness covered the face
8:13of the deep. And there it is. The spirit
8:14of the Lord
8:16>> moved.
8:19First thing God wanted you to know about
8:21the spirit is that it moves.
8:24>> When it shows up on the canvas of
8:26history, it says, "I'm in action. I'm in
8:28flight." There is no way that you can
8:31then be filled with spirit and not move.
8:39[applause]
8:41>> So, you're going to move. And I don't
8:42just mean in physical gyrations and
8:45spanker deraniums and goose pimples and
8:46chill bumps, but I mean move in regard
8:49to change and take action and progress
8:52and grow and flourish. If the spirit of
8:56God comes into your life, you will never
8:58be able to stay like you were when you
9:00got it. It will move you. [applause]
9:08It brings to life the character and the
9:10personality of God.
9:13>> One of the great dilemmas that God has
9:15always had is communication with man.
9:18>> For in Genesis, it says that the voice
9:20of the Lord walked through the cool of
9:21the garden calling for somebody who
9:23wasn't even listening. Communication has
9:25been a paramount dilemma for God because
9:28how can he convey the magnitude of his
9:32feelings to us?
9:35God is a God of passion.
9:38>> He is an intense God. He is not just a
9:41force. He is a God of feeling.
9:46>> He's jealous.
9:49His name is jealous.
9:52>> He's a loving God.
9:55>> And yet when he gets angry, there was no
9:58no word that the Hebrews could find to
10:00depict the anger of the Lord. So they
10:02called him wroth.
10:05which means anger with fire.
10:08>> Anger plus. And then when God got upset,
10:11he was hot,
10:16furious,
10:18inflamed.
10:20The breath of his nostrils cometh forth
10:22as fire.
10:24When he loves, he loves madly,
10:28passionately,
10:30intensely.
10:32It's always been difficult for him to
10:33find some way to make his disciples know
10:35exactly how he felt. And for this cause,
10:38he taught through illustrations because
10:40pain isn't pain until you feel it. He's
10:42just I want to make you understand how I
10:45feel. So, Abram, take now thy son,
10:48thine only son, and take him up on Mount
10:51Mariah and lift up a knife.
10:55place his body on a wood sacrificial
10:59offering and get ready to burn him up
11:02and raise your knife to slay your son.
11:08And then you'll begin to understand the
11:10magnitude of the sacrifice that I'm
11:12going to make to reconcile man to God.
11:16Or Hosea,
11:19you've saved yourself. You've kept
11:21yourself for Chase Virgin and I got a
11:25wife for you.
11:29Go to the red light district on the
11:31corner of Fifth and N.
11:35I want you to meet your bride. She's
11:37standing on the corner
11:40waving at the cause.
11:45Marry a prostitute, a hooker,
11:48>> a tren.
11:50And as you struggle
11:53to change, to love, to embrace, to
11:55nurture, to culture somebody who's
11:57looking at somebody else, then you'll
11:59know how I feel trying to love you.
12:04[applause]
12:08Then she disgraces you and embarrasses
12:10you and you have to go and buy her back
12:13off the slave table. And you have to
12:15purchase what was yours in the first
12:17place and redeem her.
12:21whom you have chosen. Then you'll begin
12:23to get some kind of empathy for what I
12:28feel
12:29loving you.
12:34One thing that Satan has understood
12:36about God is how much he loves you.
12:40>> So when he really got ready to get on
12:42God's nerves, he didn't use himself to
12:45vex God. He used man
12:48>> for one thing is indisputable in the
12:51heavens. God loves us.
12:55>> David says, "What is man that thou art
12:57mindful of him or the son of man that
12:59thou visitth him for thou has made him a
13:01little lower than the angels and yet
13:02you've ground him with honor and glory."
13:04He said, "I don't see nothing special
13:06about him. He's not as strong as an
13:07angel. He can't move from one one area
13:10to another like the angels move. He
13:12doesn't have the power and the force and
13:14the magnitude. And yet there's something
13:16about him that your mind is full of him.
13:20>> God is in love with you.
13:23He is so in love with you that he says
13:26you don't even have to bring him an
13:28offering. Just bring him the praise and
13:30it'll mean the same thing. [applause]
13:32He says, "I just want to hear it come
13:34out of your mouth. I want it to be your
13:35voice. I want you to open your mouth and
13:37tell me how good I am." And yet some of
13:39us won't even do that. Isn't it awesome?
13:43And so Satan says, "If I'm going to get
13:45next to God, I'm going to
13:48take what he loves
13:51and get that to take what he hates,
13:55which is sin."
13:57And then I'm going to take what he hates
13:59and put it in what he loves and create a
14:03dilemma for his emotions.
14:06For if he looks at what he hates and
14:07tries to kill it, HE WILL HAVE TO KILL
14:10WHAT HE LOVES.
14:13But he look if HE LOOKS AT WHAT HE LOVES
14:14AND TRIES TO SAVE IT, HE WILL HAVE TO
14:17SAY WHAT HE HATES. AND HE PUT GOD IN A
14:20DILEMMA.
14:25>> God reacted properly to sin, he would
14:27have killed man.
14:29If he reacted the way he wanted to to
14:31man, he would have saved sin.
14:34And he set God in a dilemma
14:38that made God walk through the cool of
14:40the garden
14:42and tell man you're in a mess. Just be
14:44still. But I'm going to work it out.
14:48[applause]
14:50I got to fix this. You can't. You No,
14:52the fig leaves won't do it. Adam, shut
14:54up.
14:57I'm going to work this out for you. for
15:01his right hand and his holy arm have
15:03gotten him. The victory, salvation is of
15:06the Lord. God did it all by himself. It
15:10wasn't your church. It wasn't your
15:11bishop. It wasn't your denomination. It
15:13wasn't your doctrine, your dress code,
15:14AND YOUR MORALITY. GOD [screaming] DID
15:16IT all by himself because he loves
15:20[groaning and screaming]
15:22you.
15:26It is his good pleasure to give you the
15:31king
15:34>> wants to bless you
15:36ab abundantly.
15:39He tells his disciples, I will not leave
15:42you comfortless.
15:45I will comfort you. I will pray the
15:46father and he will send you another
15:48comforter,
15:49>> an alos pericletus, another of the same
15:52kind who stands [snorts] alongside for
15:55the express purpose of helping you.
15:57Somebody say help.
15:59>> That's what the Holy Spirit comes to do
16:00in your life is help. If you're overt
16:03taxed and overloaded and stressed out
16:05and up under burdens and pressed, the
16:07Holy Spirit has come into your life to
16:09help you. Somebody say help.
16:11>> He didn't just come for your
16:12entertainment. He didn't come for your
16:13reputation. He didn't come just to make
16:15you sing better or preach better or to
16:17build your ministry or to build any
16:19egotistical self-enthrown ideology in
16:22the earth. When the spirit of God moves
16:24in your life, he comes to help. SOMEBODY
16:26SAY, "HELP."
16:27>> If you're pressed above measure and
16:29beyond strength, it's because you have
16:30not activated the power of God in your
16:32life. Because when God's spirit begins
16:34to operate in your life, you got so much
16:36help that demons begin to tremble and
16:38hell gets frustrated. YOU GOT HELP.
16:42[applause]
16:47LOOK at somebody and tell them, "I got
16:48some help."
16:50>> That means if you don't get around to
16:51helping me, don't feel too sorry for me
16:53cuz I got some help. That means whether
16:55you help me or not, like me or not, with
16:57me or not, or support me or not, I'm
16:59still going to basically be all right
17:01because when you put me down, he'll pick
17:03me up. I've got some help that's WITH ME
17:05RIGHT NOW. I've got help.
17:09[applause]
17:14FATHER'S SPIRIT, HELP usth
17:18>> our infirmities. Romans chapter 8, for
17:20we know not
17:22what we ought to pray for, as we ought,
17:28but the spirit itself
17:31maketh
17:33intercession
17:35>> for us. You know, you can't hardly get
17:37anybody to pray for you anymore.
17:40You tell somebody to pray for you and
17:41they say, "Oh, bless the Lord."
17:45>> When I ask you to pray for me, I want
17:46you to wrap up in sackcloths and ashes,
17:49stick your face in the baptism pool, and
17:52speak in tongues for an hour and a half.
17:54I want some real prayer.
17:58[applause]
18:00I don't want no little cutesy hotsy
18:02tossy religious spania that you read in
18:05SOMEBODY'S BOOK AND YOU JUST SAY, "BLESS
18:06THE LORD." WHILE YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT
18:08YOU GOING TO WEAR TO WORK TOMORROW AND
18:10WHAT YOU GOT COOKING IN THE OVEN. NO.
18:12ALL HELL IS COMING AGAINST ME AND DEMONS
18:14ARE TRYING TO ASSASSINATE ME AND I need
18:16to do spiritual warfare in the
18:18heavenlies. I need some help.
18:19[screaming] Somebody say help.
18:21[cheering]
18:23[applause]
18:35PAUL TOLD TIMOTHY, "WHEN MY HOUR CAME TO
18:37TRIAL, NO MAN STOOD WITH ME.
18:39NOTWITHSTANDING the Lord stood with me."
18:44People who I thought would help me
18:46forsook me.
18:48>> But the Lord
18:50stood
18:53>> with me.
18:54He helpeth our infirmities,
18:58>> our weaknesses, our, you know, the
18:59things that we don't admit that we have.
19:01Those are, that's what infirmities are.
19:04The things that we're obligated to act
19:05like we don't know anything about, those
19:08are infirmities. He helpth.
19:12I know you don't need any help, but if
19:14you ever did, the spirit of God would
19:16help you. But I know you've got it
19:18together, and you don't need anything.
19:19you don't have any infirmities and you
19:21are super spiritual. But just write this
19:23down for whoever you might need to
19:25witness to or minister to who hadn't
19:27grown to the point that you've grown to
19:29and tell them that when they have an
19:31infirmity, God's got some help.
19:37The spirit helpeth
19:39our
19:41infirmity.
19:44Cuz sometimes when we get down to pray,
19:47we don't even know what to say.
19:52Prayer has almost become a manipulation
19:55for us to give God his orders for the
19:57evening.
19:59But there comes a point that even the
20:00most skillful of us become exasperated
20:03and trying to control God.
20:05>> And we break down and say, "We don't
20:07know what we're doing and we don't know
20:08what to ask for and we don't know what
20:09to do and we don't know how to instruct
20:11you today. So Lord, do what you want to
20:14do.
20:17Then the spirit itself kicks in
20:20>> with groanings
20:24that cannot
20:26be uttered
20:28with intensity
20:31that is not languageable
20:36with a level of passion that cannot be
20:39expressed
20:41with inarticulate sounds.
20:45Groaning
20:49wailings.
20:52Few men have ever tapped into what the
20:54Holy Spirit is really doing.
20:57And when they did, they became radical.
21:01And they STARTED TO SAY, "HOW YE heavens
21:05and whail ye earths?"
21:08But they had tied into the passions
21:11of God.
21:14>> [snorts]
21:14>> ALL THAT [screaming] MY HEAD WERE waters
21:18and my eyes were rivers of tears. Then
21:22would I not weep both day and night
21:26[laughter]
21:28for the daughters of Israel that are
21:30slain? Is there no bomb IN GILEAD? IS
21:34THERE NO PHYSICIAN? WHY THEN IS NOT THE
21:38HELP OF THE daughter of my people
21:40recover?
21:45Send for the women of mourning
21:49and let them take up a whailing
21:54for that has climbed into our windows.
22:02This generation does a lot of shouting
22:06but we don't do much wailing.
22:09BUT WHEN I LOOK AT THE CONDITIONS OF OUR
22:12SOCIETY,
22:14it makes me want to take up a whale.
22:18When I see 11 and 12 year old boys
22:20standing before judges in courtrooms AND
22:24GETTING LIFE SENTENCES AND DON'T EVEN
22:26SHED THE TEAR, IT SCARES ME TO DEATH AND
22:29I WANT TO TAKE them away.
22:34When I was a little boy, I would be
22:35afraid to walk through the corner where
22:37a crowd of grown men were standing. But
22:40today, GROWN MEN ARE SCARED TO WALK DOWN
22:42A CORNER WHERE A GROUP OF KIDS ARE
22:44STANDING. SOMEBODY [screaming]
22:46NEEDS TO TAKE UP a wave.
22:54crownings
22:56that cannot
22:58be
23:00uttered.
23:02And the spirit of God moved. One
23:05translation says the spirit of God
23:07hovered
23:09like a hen does over eggs. It laid. It
23:14settled. It festered. It boiled. It
23:18bubbled. It wailed. It groan with the
23:21process of deliverance. It set up a
23:24crumbling in the earth realm.
23:29The spirit
23:31deep
23:33calling unto deep. I'm going to tell you
23:36something. If we ever quit playing with
23:40the Holy Ghost
23:42and really tie into some real spiritual
23:46power,
23:48>> I want to warn you before I go any
23:49further. It'll make you strange.
23:53You may not fit in the click or the
23:55club. YOU MAY NOT GET INVITED OUT AS
23:58MUCH. They may not call you on the phone
24:01with the latest gossip. But if you ever
24:04REALLY TIE [screaming] INTO THE HEART OF
24:06GOD, YOU'LL TAKE UP A WHAILING OF WHAT
24:08WE CALL CHURCH, YOU [screaming] REALLY
24:10HAVEN'T SEEN REAL CHURCH. NOT AS LONG AS
24:13WE'RE playing politics and games and
24:16fighting one another and NOT LOVING ONE
24:18ANOTHER. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. GOD
24:21WANTS TO do something in our building
24:24that's GOING TO CAUSE HELL to tremble.
24:26BUT WE'VE GOT TO TIE [screaming] IN TO
24:29THE POWER OF GOD. OH, HALLELUJAH.
24:36[applause]
24:43>> WHEN GOD STEPS OVER A MESS, HE'LL HOVER
24:46OVER IT UNTIL HE'S ABLE TO CHANGE IT. I
24:49PRAISE HIM FOR BEING THE KIND OF GOD
24:51[screaming]
24:52THAT CAN STEP INTO AN EARTHLY FLESHLY
24:54SITUATION AND SAY, "EVERYBODY ELSE MIGHT
24:57LEAVE YOU, BUT I'M GOING TO HOVER OVER
24:59TOP OF YOU UNTIL YOU GET A BREAKTHROUGH
25:01[screaming] IN YOUR LIFE." HE hover
25:03[applause and cheering]
25:15and tell them, "He stayed with me.
25:25He stayed
25:28with me,
25:32hovering,
25:34groaning,
25:38groaning.
25:40How many of you ever been in a labor
25:41room?
25:49You can bring
25:51Dr. Christine Anne Stevenson
25:55and put her in the bed
25:58beside Lucricia
26:00Jones
26:03and you can't tell the difference
26:07one between the other because though Dr.
26:11Stevenson might speak in 12 different
26:13languages and graduated from Yale on the
26:17deans list in the throws of labor. You
26:20don't get intellect. You get groanings
26:23and moanies and whailings.
26:27HALLELUJAH. I DON'T CARE WHAT THE
26:29EDUCATION or the color OF THE SKIN IS.
26:32THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT WE REACT TO
26:34JUST THE SAME. IN ORDER TO BURST SOME
26:37THINGS, YOU GOT TO BE ABLE TO GET DOWN
26:40AND WELL AND LAMENT BEFORE GOD. AND
26:44GOD'S ANOINTED IS COMMITTED TO
26:46DELIVERING YOU. AND GOD SAID, "BEFORE I
26:49LET YOU GO DOWN, [screaming] I'LL LOCK
26:51MY LEGS IN LABOR AND WHAIL TILL YOU ARE
26:55burnt into the theme of God."
26:59[cheering]
27:00I feel the glory of the Holy Ghost.
27:04[applause]
27:06Glory.
27:10>> HE W
27:12FOR YOU.
27:18>> That's why the enemy didn't kill you.
27:23>> Cuz every TIME HE CAME IN LIKE A FLOOD,
27:26THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD [screaming]
27:28LIFTED UP A STANDARD against you.
27:30>> [applause]
27:31>> IT WASN'T YOUR PRAYER WARRIORS AND YOUR
27:33INTERCESSORS AND YOUR PRAYER TEAM AND
27:35YOUR PRAYER PARTNER, YOUR PRAYER BOOK
27:37AND YOUR PRAYER MANUAL AND YOUR FIVE
27:39STEPS TO PRAYER AND YOUR 10 STEPS TO A
27:42BLESSING AND 12 STEPS TO PROSPERITY. NO,
27:45IT WAS THE HOLY GHOST [screaming]
27:47GROUNDING over your trouble.
27:50[cheering]
27:56>> [applause]
27:58>> SOMEBODY GIVE HIM SOME PRAISE IN
28:00[screaming] HERE.
28:06[cheering] I dare you to give him
28:08praise. [screaming] I dare you to lift
28:10him up. I dare you to give him the
28:13glory. He alone is worthy for
28:16[screaming] every success and every
28:18victory in your life. If it had not been
28:21for the Lord that was on your side.

28:42>> Tell somebody and tell them, "I'm still
28:43going.
28:44>> I'm still going.
28:59>> [applause]

29:01>> Tell them I didn't HAVE THE EVER READY
29:03BATTERY, BUT I'M STILL GOING.
29:06I've been through the storm and the
29:08rain, but I'm [screaming] still going.
29:11I had to cry, BUT I'M STILL GOING. THE
29:14HOLY GHOST prayed for me and look at me.
29:22>> [cheering]
29:24>> SOMEBODY GIVE HIM PLAY SOMEWHERE.

29:48>> [cheering]
29:52[applause]
29:55>> For he that searchth the hearts
29:59knoweth what is the will of God. For he
30:03maketh intercession for the saints
30:06according to the will of God. He has
30:10searched your heart.
30:17I tell you why you must seek him.
30:21Because
30:23he is the only one
30:26who really knows
30:29what's wrong with you.
30:34[applause]
30:38And when you get tired of calling
30:40people,
30:45when you finally run out of phone
30:47numbers
30:49and decide that they don't know what's
30:51wrong with you and they don't know
30:52what's wrong with them and they can't
30:54help you and they can't even help
30:56themselves and you finally lay out on
30:58your face and say, "Lord, if you don't
31:00help me, I can't stand this store." You
31:04know what's wrong with me. You have
31:06assessed my beginning. You have assessed
31:08my childhood. You've assessed my
31:11damages, my accidents, MY INCIDENTS, MY
31:14CASUALTIES, MY CRISIS. YOU'VE ASSESSED
31:17MY PERSONALITY, MY BACKGROUND, MY IQ,
31:20AND MY MENTALITY. AND YOU'VE ADDED UP
31:22THE SUM TOTAL OF EVERYTHING I CAN DO AND
31:25EVERYTHING I CAN BE. AND I'VE [laughter]
31:27GOT TO FIND YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE THE ONLY
31:29ONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO FIX ME AND HOW TO
31:33BLESS ME AND HOW [screaming] TO
31:34STRENGTHEN ME. AND IF YOU DON'T HELP ME,
31:37I CANNOT STAND THIS STORM. I NEED YOU.
31:42[screaming] AS A HEART PANDM,
31:45I need you. I'M NOT COMING TO CHURCH
31:48BECAUSE I WANT TO COME. I'M NOT COMING
31:50FOR THE BUILDING. I'M NOT COMING FOR THE
31:53CHOIR. I'm not coming for THE PREACHER.

46:45with the Lord we're working for. You
46:47need to go back to your first love and
46:49BEGIN TO BLESS GOD. And praise God.
46:51Nothing that you're worried about is as
46:53important as your relationship with the
46:55Lord. Don't let the DEVIL TRICK YOU OUT
46:58OF YOUR PLACE WITH budgets and
47:00businesses and rehearsals and meeting.
47:03You need to GO BACK TO PRAISING HIM AND
47:05WORSHIPING HIM. THERE WAS A TIME THAT
47:08YOU JUST LOVED GOD. YOU DIDN'T CARE WHAT
47:10TIME THE SERVICE STARTED. YOU DIDN'T
47:12CARE WHO WAS PREACHING. YOU DIDN'T CARE
47:15WHO WAS SINGING. WE DIDN'T HAVE TO SPEND
47:17$5,000 ON advertisement to get the All
47:21Saints to come TO CHURCH. IF THEY HEARD
47:24THE FEEDING, THEY WANTED TO BE THERE.

49:52mouth empty,
49:54for he has found no place
49:58to rest
50:00his foot.
50:05Symbolically,
50:06it reminds us
50:09of the spirit of God that begin to move
50:11in Genesis 1 and 3 upon the face of the
50:15deep,
50:17searching
50:19for a place to rest his foot.
50:23All through the Old Testament,
50:26the dove flew,
50:30looking
50:32for a place he could rest.
50:37He came upon the prophets,
50:42spoke through them, lifted up from them,
50:47looking for a place
50:50he could rest.
50:52From Daniel to Jeremiah,
50:55Oatiah,
50:57Zachchariah, Amos,
50:59Malachi,
51:01he searches for a place he could rest.
51:06Seeing many men, blessing many men,
51:09flowing through many men, touching many
51:11men, abiding with none, [clears throat]
51:15comes back.
51:17found
51:19no one
51:21that he could rest
51:24upon.
51:26And after arrest,
51:30he goes again
51:33looking
51:35the dove,
51:37the Christ,
51:39the Christma,
51:42the Christos, the creole, the anointed.
51:45looking
51:53for someone.
51:55The searching God, the intelligent God,
52:00the grieving God, the wailing, the
52:02weeping God searches.
52:06A dove that has set flight from the
52:09window of the ark flies
52:13through dispensations
52:15and ages through prophets and priests.
52:20Flies over kings like Saul. Flies over
52:26kings like David. Flies over kings like
52:30Solomon. Flies from tabernacles to
52:34temples. From the temple of Solomon to
52:36the temple of Zerubbabel to the temple
52:39of Herod flies. Finally, it comes to the
52:43Jordan River
52:46[applause]
52:49and down in the Chile Jordan River. down
52:55over the Jordan that flows into [music]
52:57the Dead Sea, representing our sins
53:00being flowing into the sea of
53:02forgetfulness, never to be remembered in
53:04this world or the world to come. The
53:06dove says, "I have found him whom my
53:10soul loveth. I HAVE FOUND THE ONE THAT I
53:13CAN SIT UPON." And he rested. AND THE
53:16BIBLE SAID UH THAT WHEN JESUS UH was
53:19standing UH IN THE JORDAN River uh that
53:22A SOUND UH CAME FROM HEAVEN UH AND SAID,
53:25"THIS IS MY BELOVED SON in whom I am
53:28well pleased." And the spirit,
53:32[cheering and applause]
53:37the spirit of God descended
53:42upon him like a dove and it rested
53:50on him
53:52[panting]
53:53and he went in the water. Jesus,
53:57he came out of the water. Jesus the
53:59Christ
54:01>> because the the dove
54:06rested
54:08on him
54:12and Satan was angry.
54:16He set an appointment in the wilderness
54:21because the one thing that the enemy
54:23doesn't want you to be is anointed.

54:28>> He said, "I don't want that anointing on
54:31him, and I'm going to tempt him until I
54:34get it right." But what the devil didn't
54:37know, he said, "When God's anointing
54:39comes upon you, no weapon formed against
54:43you, shall be able to prosper."
54:48How somebody tell them, "It ain't going
54:49to work." [cheering]
54:52The devil is trying a whole LOT OF STUFF
54:53TO GET YOUR ANOINTING, but it ain't
54:55going to work. He after your peace and
54:57YOUR POWER AND YOUR VICTORY. DEVIL, I
55:00HEAR YOU KNOCKING, BUT YOU CAN'T COME
55:02IN. It ain't going to work. GREATER IS
55:05HE THAT'S IN me than he that's in

55:10YOU'RE AFTER MY JOY. BUT THE ANOINTING

56:02with the sign to the one that sent him
56:06and said,
56:08"I have found
56:12him."
56:15>> Oh my soul loveth. And at the price of a
56:18broken twig, at the price of a cross, at
56:22the price of a bleeding side,
56:26here's a sign that the gospel shall be
56:29preached,
56:32all over the nation,
56:34all over the world. And the dove says to
56:37the one that sent him, "What shall I
56:40do?" And he says, "Wait
56:44>> seven days until the fullness of time."
56:47>> And while he's saying, "Wait in the
56:49heavenlies."
56:51>> Jesus is saying, "Wait on the earth real
56:53ground," he's saying, "Go to Jerusalem
56:57and wait there until you be endued with
57:00power from on high." The same anointing
57:04that is on me is going to come upon you
57:08if you will. And when the day of
57:11Pentecost was fully come and they were
57:14in one place with one accord, HE SENDS A
57:17DOVE UH THIS LAST TIME. SUDDENLY THERE
57:21COME A SOUND [screaming] FROM HEAVEN
57:24LIKE A mighty rushing away and clothing
57:26tongue appeared like as a fire and it
57:28sat
57:33[cheering]
57:33back to doing what he was doing in THE
57:35BOOK OF GENESIS. HE SAT ON EACH OF THEM.
57:39LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. WHEN THE HOLY
57:40GHOST HIT THE UPPER ROOM, IT WASN'T JUST
57:43THAT HE FILLED THE MEN. THE BIBLE SAID
57:45HE FILLED THE HOUSEH THEY WERE SITTING
57:48IN. HE FILLED EVERY VASE, EVERY POT,
57:51EVERY CUP, EVERY TAMBOURINE. HE FILLED
57:54EVERY MAN, WOMAN, and boy, AND GIRL IN
57:57THE HOUSE HE SAT.

58:44thought he had me, THE HOLY GHOST SAT ON
58:47ME. He set on my mind till I come right.

58:54love right. He set on my tongue till I

1:08:06When he has gone through all of that to
1:08:07cover you
1:08:10and you still don't trust him.
1:08:16It grieves him when you yield your
1:08:18strength and your body to lesser gods
1:08:24>> and serve flesh.
1:08:27When you could walk in the spirit,
1:08:31it grieves him
1:08:34when you who dance and shout go home
1:08:37depressed and discouraged.
1:08:41It grieves him
1:08:43when we have to go to worldly counselors
1:08:47>> to get answers for Christian people.
1:08:51It grieves him. [music]
1:08:56Some of you have been encouraging
1:08:58everybody else,
1:09:02>> but you need to be encouraged yourself.
1:09:08He grieves him when you know all the
1:09:10right scriptures and all the right words
1:09:12and all the right things until it comes
1:09:14to your circumstance.
1:09:19It grieves him because we have become
1:09:20professional Christians.
1:09:23We know what to do and when to do it and
1:09:24how to handle it.
1:09:27We have not learned how to trust the
1:09:29Savior
1:09:32in this room tonight.
1:09:36There is everything you can think of.
1:09:46>> Depression,
1:09:49>> discouragement,
1:09:52fear,
1:09:54marriages that are broken,
1:09:58about to break,
1:10:01husband and wives who have just become
1:10:03roommates.
1:10:07Suicide is here.
1:10:11AIDS is here too.
1:10:14Every crisis of our society
1:10:18is in this room.
1:10:21And the dove weeps.
1:10:27He weeps
1:10:29for he says, "How oft would I have
1:10:31gathered you as a hymn does her chicks?"
1:10:39But he would not.
1:10:42I wanted to lift your heaviness,
1:10:45but you would not let it go.
1:10:50I wanted to heal your cold,
1:10:54>> but you would not be still.
1:10:59>> I wanted to give you peace,
1:11:02but you talk to men when you should have
1:11:04been talking to me.
