- 0:02Bismillahi rahmani irahim. Assalamu
- 0:14alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.
- 0:18This is the fifth lesson in the newly
- 0:19released Taskiyatul Midan for the ninth
- 0:21grade this year. First, let me tell you
- 0:27about the topic of the lesson. The
- 0:40story of a pious companion named Abu
- 0:41Dahadah radhiyallahu anhu is told in
- 0:44this lesson. When the verse that begins
- 0:53in the Quran was revealed, which means,
- 0:55who will lend to Allah? When a verse
- 1:01was revealed that says, "Who will lend
- 1:03to Allah in good faith?" Abu Dahadah
- 1:07radhiyallahu anhu, the Prophet
- 1:09sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, asked them
- 1:12: "Will Allah ask us for a loan? Isn't
- 1:21He the Self-sufficient in terms of
- 1:22loans? Then why does Allah ask us for a
- 1:25loan?" When asked, the Prophet (peace
- 1:32and blessings of Allah be upon him)
- 1:34said, "Yes, we will, because Allah
- 1:36wants to admit you to Paradise, that is
- 1:38why Allah asks for a loan." Abu Daha (
- 1:44may Allah be pleased with him) said to
- 1:46the Prophet (peace and blessings of
- 1:47Allah be upon him), "I will lend to
- 1:49Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be
- 1:51upon him) that He will grant me and my
- 1:53children Paradise. Will you be surety
- 1:56for me?" The Prophet (peace and
- 1:58blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "
- 2:00Yes, I will be surety for you." Abu
- 2:03Daha (may Allah be pleased with him)
- 2:05said, "I have two gardens, one above
- 2:17and one below, and I have nothing else
- 2:19besides them." When he said, "I will
- 2:25lend both of them in the way of Allah,"
- 2:27he said, "One, one, you will lend in
- 2:29the way of Allah." He said, "You should
- 2:35leave it for your livelihood." Then Abu
- 2:43Dahada (may Allah be pleased with him)
- 2:45said, "The best of them is that I am
- 2:46lending it for the sake of Allah. That
- 2:53is my big garden, in which there are
- 2:55600 date palms." The Messenger of Allah
- 3:02(peace and blessings of Allah be upon
- 3:04him) said, "If that is the case, may
- 3:06Allah grant you Paradise instead." Abu
- 3:13Dahada (may Allah be pleased with him)
- 3:15went to that garden. His wife Umm
- 3:19Dahada was there; and there were also
- 3:21children. They were playing around the
- 3:25date palm. Then Abu Dahada (may Allah
- 3:34be pleased with him) called out, "O Umm
- 3:36Umm, you must come out of this garden.
- 3:47I have loaned this garden to Allah."
- 3:56Umm Umm said, "Your trade has been
- 3:58profitable. Barahu, may Allah bless you
- 4:04for what you have bought." Then Ummudah
- 4:12told her sons to throw the dates in
- 4:13their hands and pockets on the ground.
- 4:21And so. They went to another garden and
- 4:27the Prophet (peace and blessings of
- 4:32Allah be upon him) said, "O Messenger
- 4:40of Allah, how many palm trees and how
- 4:42spacious a house Allah has given you in
- 4:45Paradise?" The. "The Prophet (peace and
- 4:48blessings of Allah be upon him) said,"
- 4:49O Messenger of Allah, how many palm
- 4:49trees and how spacious a house Allah
- 4:50has given you in Paradise. "The Prophet
- 4:52(peace and blessings of Allah be upon
- 5:04him) said," O Messenger of Allah, how
- 5:16many palm trees and how spacious a
- 5:28house Allah has given you in Paradise.
- 5:32"The Prophet (peace and blessings of
- 5:34Allah be upon him) said," O Messenger
- 5:36of Allah, how many palm trees and how
- 5:38spacious a house Allah has given you in
- 5:40Paradise. "The Prophet (peace and
- 5:44blessings of Allah be upon him) said,"
- 5:46O Messenger of Allah, how many palm
- 5:48trees and how spacious a house Allah
- 5:50has given you in Paradise. "The The
- 5:59Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah
- 6:01be upon him) said," That is why Allah
- 6:03wants to admit you to Paradise. "The
- 6:12Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah
- 6:13be upon him) said," If I were to lend a
- 6:15loan to Allah, would you grant me and
- 6:17my children Paradise in return? Would
- 6:21you be a guarantor for me to have
- 6:23Paradise? "The Prophet (peace and
- 6:36blessings of Allah be upon him) said,"
- 6:37If I were to lend a loan to Allah,
- 6:38would you grant me and my children
- 6:38Paradise in return? "The Prophet (peace
- 6:40and blessings of Allah be upon him)
- 6:42asked them. The Prophet (peace and
- 6:45blessings of Allah be upon him) said,"
- 6:48Yes. "Abu Dawud said," O Messenger of
- 6:54Allah, extend your hand to me. "The
- 6:59Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah
- 7:01be upon him) extended his hand to me.
- 7:08Abu Dawud said," I have two gardens,
- 7:11one above and one below. I have nothing
- 7:17but them. I lend them to Allah. "The
- 7:31Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah
- 7:33be upon him) said," Give one of them to
- 7:35Allah and leave the other as a means of
- 7:37livelihood for you and your family. "
- 7:49Abu Dawud said," O Messenger of Allah,
- 8:02I call you to witness that I give the
- 8:04best of them to Allah, which is a
- 8:13garden in which there are 600 date
- 8:15palms. "The Prophet (peace and
- 8:20blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
- 8:22This is the heading of our lesson: But
- 8:24may Allah grant you Paradise instead.
- 8:30Hearing this, Abu Dawud came to the
- 8:37Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah
- 8:39be upon him) and said this too. Mahdi
- 8:49was walking around the date palm tree
- 8:51with his children. Abu Dawud called out
- 8:59: Get out of this garden. I have lent
- 9:11this garden to my Lord, Allah. Then Umm
- 9:23Rahu said: Your trade...has been
- 9:24profitable, may Allah bless you for
- 9:26what you have bought. Then he went to
- 9:35his children. Then Umm Rahu told them
- 9:47to throw the dates in their hands and
- 9:48pockets on the ground. They entered the
- 9:57other garden. The Prophet (peace and
- 10:09blessings of Allah be upon him) then
- 10:11said to Abu Dah," How spacious is the
- 10:13house and how big are the dates in
- 10:15Paradise? "The Messenger of Allah (
- 10:24peace and blessings of Allah be upon
- 10:26him) is describing Abu Dah. He was one

- 13:36Abu Dawud asked the Prophet (peace and
- 13:38blessings of Allaah be upon him) two:"
- 13:40Give me your hand, and when did you say
- 13:43this? "He said," Allaah intends to

- 14:33Prophet's hand and said," I have two
- 14:34gardens, and I am lending them both to
- 14:36Allaah. "The Prophet (peace and
- 14:42blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,"
- 14:44Four. "Then, may Allaah grant you
- 14:49Paradise instead of that. When the
- 14:56Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah
- 14:58be upon him) said," It is enough to
- 15:00give one garden out of two, "Abu Dahada
- 15:02(may Allah be pleased with him) donated
- 15:04a large garden with 600 date palms for
- 15:07the sake of Allah. When the Prophet (
- 15:12peace and blessings of Allah be upon
- 15:14him) did so, this is what he said:" May
- 15:16Allah grant you Paradise instead of
- 15:18that, O Rabiha, your trade has been
- 15:20profitable. "When did he say this? When
- 15:27Umm Dahada was playing with her
- 15:29children in the garden that was given
- 15:30for the sake of Allah, Abu Dahada (may
- 15:38Allah be pleased with him) said to her,
- 15:40" Get down from this garden, I have
- 15:41given this for the sake of Allah. "When
- 15:43she said," I have given this for the
- 15:45sake of Allah, "Umm Dahada (may Allah
- 15:47be pleased with her) said:" Write down
