Cinematic Slide Zooms — 99% Won't Believe It's PowerPoint — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Hello, ladies and gentlemen. In this
- 0:02video, I'll show you how you can get so
- 0:04good at using cinematic slide zones with
- 0:07clickable sections and awesome
- 0:08animations that most people won't
- 0:10believe it's PowerPoint. So, let's go.
- 0:18>> [music]
- 0:21>> That's good.
- 0:23Okay, my friends. And now, let me show
- 0:25you how you can create it as well. And
- 0:27for that, let's jump into a fresh blank
- 0:29new presentation, and let's choose a
- 0:31blank layout. That's beautiful. And
- 0:33first of all, let me show you how you
- 0:35can create that beautiful animated video
- 0:36for the title slide. And for that, let's
- 0:38go to ChatGPT, and let me use this
- 0:41prompt that I like to use for generating
- 0:44slide zoom concepts or ideas. By the
- 0:46way, it is indeed the description. So,
- 0:48I'm basically asking ChatGPT to give me
- 0:51some design ideas for slide zoom
- 0:53presentations. And let's make sure that
- 0:55we choose create an image and for aspect
- 0:57ratio, let's go with wide screen 16 by
- 0:599. And let's click on that button. Let
- 1:01me fast forward. And skadoosh, this way
- 1:03we get nine interesting ideas for slide
- 1:06zoom concepts that we could use. And by
- 1:09the way, each time you use this prompt,
- 1:10you might get a slightly different
- 1:12results. And let me show you this result
- 1:14that I got previously when using this
- 1:17prompt. And I really like design number
- 1:19nine. So, to stay consistent, let me
- 1:21just copy this image, and let's get back
- 1:24to ChatGPT. Let's close this image over
- 1:26here, and let me paste in that reference
- 1:29image that we got previously. And now,
- 1:31let me just ask ChatGPT to basically
- 1:34extract that design number nine and to
- 1:37make it basically a full screen single
- 1:40image. So, here it is, design number
- 1:42nine. And let's ask it to make it a
- 1:44single full screen image. And skadoosh,
- 1:47here it is. Okay. So, now we have a
- 1:49beautiful slide zoom concept that we
- 1:52could use. And I really like it. But for
- 1:54the animated video, we have to clean up
- 1:56this image so there's no text, no icons,
- 1:58no slide zooms, only the background
- 2:00image. And we'll be able to animate
- 2:02those waterfalls in the background.
- 2:04That's super awesome. And for that, I'm
- 2:05using Magnific. Previously, it was
- 2:08FreePik, now it's Magnific. And now I'm
- 2:09using it, you know, when I need more
- 2:11control for the image generation and for
- 2:13the videos. So, let's go to image
- 2:15generator, okay? And now for the model,
- 2:17I'm using Nana Banana tools, really good
- 2:19with editing images. So, let me attach
- 2:23that image with these slide zooms. Here
- 2:25it is. So, this is our extracted slide
- 2:28design number nine, okay? And I'm going
- 2:30with a single image aspect ratio 16 by
- 2:329, resolution 2K. And now for the
- 2:35prompt, let me just reuse this prompt
- 2:37where I'm asking to recreate the exact
- 2:39image, but without all of the elements
- 2:41that we don't need, okay? And once I hit
- 2:44generate, I get this clean background
- 2:46image. That's nice. Now, we can use it
- 2:48for the video, and we can click on this
- 2:50button create a video, or we can just
- 2:52jump into the video tab. Over here, we
- 2:55can choose the video model. Let's go
- 2:57with SeaDance 2.0. And since I'd like a
- 2:59seamlessly looping video, let me choose
- 3:02the exact image for the starting and
- 3:05ending frames, okay? And for the prompt,
- 3:07I'm asking for a seamlessly looping
- 3:09video with subtle environmental motion.
- 3:12And what's important, the camera remains
- 3:15completely locked, okay? And I'm going
- 3:16with 1080p resolution, 4 second
- 3:19duration, aspect ratio 16 by 9, and no
- 3:21audio effects. And once I hit generate,
- 3:24I got this video. As you can see, that
- 3:25little waterfall is animated, and we
- 3:27have some flying birds in the background
- 3:29as well. That's super nice. Now, we can
- 3:31get back to PowerPoint and let's insert
- 3:33this video into our blank slide. Okay,
- 3:35my friends, let's find that video that
- 3:37we've just made. Here it is. Let's drag
- 3:39it and drop it into the blank slide.
- 3:42Let's make sure it is nicely aligned to
- 3:44the middle and center, okay? And now in
- 3:47the playback options, let's make sure
- 3:49that the video loops until stopped, and
- 3:51that it starts automatically. And now,
- 3:53in these slideshow settings, let's
- 3:55uncheck show media controls. This way we
- 3:57won't see video player buttons. This way
- 3:59everything will look cleaner, and let's
- 4:01apply a fade transition to the first
- 4:03slide. And this is how it looks like.
- 4:05So, as you can see, the waterfall is
- 4:08flowing down, the birds are flying, and
- 4:10it seems like the video is looping
- 4:11seamlessly. That's beautiful, but at the
- 4:13same time, as you can see, it looks like
- 4:15we can click the video. So, let me show
- 4:17you how we can disable that. So,
- 4:20basically, let's just insert a
- 4:21full-screen rectangle that covers the
- 4:24whole slide, okay? We can remove the
- 4:27outline from this rectangle, and let's
- 4:28make sure its fill is 100% transparent.
- 4:32So, let's just move this transparency
- 4:34slider to the right, just like that. And
- 4:36now, this way, if we check in the
- 4:38selection pane, this rectangle sits on
- 4:40top of the video, and now the video is,
- 4:42you know, not clickable, and this way
- 4:43everything looks a bit cleaner. That's
- 4:45super-duper awesome. And next, my
- 4:47friends, let me jump back to my original
- 4:49presentation, and let's grab some
- 4:51content from this title slide. Let's
- 4:53copy the logo and the slide title, and
- 4:55let's copy these guys over here. As you
- 4:58can see, the font is looking a bit
- 4:59different because on this presentation,
- 5:02I'm using Aptus Display font of the
- 5:04font, and let's change that to Space
- 5:07Grotesque Medium for the headings, and
- 5:09Space Grotesque for the body, okay? As
- 5:11you can see, Space Grotesque Medium for
- 5:13the headings, Space Grotesque for the
- 5:15body. These are both free Google fonts.
- 5:17Link is in the video description. You
- 5:19can always go to fonts, click on
- 5:21customize fonts, and over here you can
- 5:23type in any heading font and find the
- 5:25font that you'd like to use. So, let's
- 5:26go with Space Grotesque. And next, in my
- 5:29original presentation, I've made these
- 5:31kind of placeholders for my slide zooms,
- 5:34or more specifically for the section
- 5:36zooms. So, these are just simple bubbles
- 5:39with some lines at the bottom. So, let
- 5:42me copy these guys. In this case, I have
- 5:44five of them. You can, of course, insert
- 5:46as many as you need, and you can
- 5:48position them wherever you wish. And by
- 5:50the way, if you'd like to save some time
- 5:52and start using this template right
- 5:53away, link is in the video description.
- 5:56And next, my friends, let's go to the
- 5:57left side where we can see all of the
- 5:59slides. Let's right-click, and let's add
- 6:01our first section. Let's call it, for
- 6:03example, section one. And inside of this
- 6:05section, let's insert a new blank slide,
- 6:08and let's give it a dark background. Any
- 6:10color will do. Okay. And next, let me
- 6:12jump back to my original presentation.
- 6:15Let me grab these two huge text boxes,
- 6:17and let's paste these guys over here.
- 6:19Okay. As you can see, this text box
- 6:21touches the top of the slide, but that's
- 6:23okay. Everything is going to look nice.
- 6:26And now, let me show you how to insert
- 6:27those section zooms. Let's go to insert.
- 6:29Let's click on zoom, and please make
- 6:31sure you're choosing section zoom, not
- 6:33slide zoom, because slide zooms are for
- 6:35single slides, and section zooms are for
- 6:37sections with multiple slides. And now,
- 6:40let's make sure that this first section
- 6:42zoom nicely fits inside of this first uh
- 6:45bubble. That's beautiful. I think for
- 6:47the height, I was using 1.9 cm, and this
- 6:50way is just the perfect size. Let's make
- 6:53sure there's no outline, and let's click
- 6:55on the zoom background button. This will
- 6:57make uh the section zoom transparent,
- 7:00and as well, let's make sure that return
- 7:01to zoom is activated. This way, after
- 7:04finishing our section, we should zoom
- 7:06back to the starting slide. So, let's
- 7:08check it out on the full screen.
- 7:10And once we click on the section zoom,
- 7:12we zoom in, and since this is the last
- 7:14slide in the section, we click again,
- 7:16and we zoom back. That's beautiful. So
- 7:18next, my friends, let's add a second
- 7:20slide into this first section. Let's
- 7:22make it uh black as well.
- 7:25And let's grab some content from my
- 7:27original presentation once again. But
- 7:30first, let me show you the process, you
- 7:32know, how I actually created this
- 7:34beautiful background image. So, for
- 7:36that, let's say jump back to ChatGPT.
- 7:39Okay. And this is the image that we've
- 7:41created before and now I'll tell ChatGPT
- 7:44that these are five slices that we can
- 7:46click on and zoom in and I'll ask it to
- 7:49create some, you know, sample content
- 7:51for those five slices that we will zoom
- 7:53in. This is the prompt that I'm using.
- 7:56Let's click on send and let's see what
- 7:58we'll get. And skadoosh, just like that
- 8:00we get some ideas, you know, for the
- 8:02slices that we will zoom in. As you can
- 8:04see the aspect ratio is not quite
- 8:07correct, but that's okay. We just need
- 8:09to get an inspiration. And let me
- 8:11actually show you the image that I got
- 8:13before. Okay, this is how it looks like.
- 8:16So, to stay consistent, let's copy this
- 8:18guy and let's use it in ChatGPT. So,
- 8:21let's close this image. Let's paste my
- 8:23reference image from before. And now let
- 8:26me just ask it to basically expand this
- 8:30first slide. And at the same time I'll
- 8:33make sure to remove any of the text
- 8:35icons so that we're left only with that
- 8:38and beautiful magnifying glass. And here
- 8:41it is. This is how I created this
- 8:42magnifying glass picture that I could
- 8:44use in my section zoom. Actually, in my
- 8:47original slide my picture looked a bit
- 8:50different, but that's okay. So, let's
- 8:52get back to PowerPoint and let's insert
- 8:54that beautiful magnifying glass picture.
- 8:56Here it is. As you can see it nicely
- 8:58covers the whole slide. That's
- 8:59beautiful. And next, my friends, let me
- 9:01show you how we can add this kind of
- 9:03vignette effects or background image so
- 9:05that the text stands out better. And for
- 9:07that let's insert a full screen
- 9:09rectangle. Let's make sure it covers the
- 9:11whole slide. No outline and now for the
- 9:13fill let's go with gradient fill. Okay.
- 9:16And I think PowerPoint remembers my last
- 9:19used gradient, so let me do that from
- 9:21scratch. Let's say you have two color
- 9:23stops and let me actually resize this
- 9:25rectangle so that we could grab some of
- 9:27the colors from the image itself. Let's
- 9:30go to the gradient once again. Let's
- 9:32select one of the gradient stops and
- 9:33let's for example copy this dark green a
- 9:36color and let's apply it to both of the
- 9:38color stops and now once again, let's
- 9:40make sure that this rectangle covers the
- 9:42whole slide. And now all we have to do
- 9:44is insert a third color stop in the
- 9:46middle of the gradient and let's make it
- 9:48fully transparent, okay? So, this way we
- 9:52can see the picture in the middle and on
- 9:54the sides we get this vignette effect,
- 9:56which helps, you know, when we place
- 9:58some white text on top. And now let me
- 10:01actually delete this mask and let me
- 10:03grab it from my original presentation
- 10:05just to stay consistent. So, let's make
- 10:07sure that we select the mask and at the
- 10:09same time let's hold down the shift key
- 10:11and select the rest of the content
- 10:13elements that we need and let's paste
- 10:15all of these guys over here. So,
- 10:17basically we have this mask in the
- 10:19background and we have a couple of
- 10:20circles with icons and we have some text
- 10:23boxes. And now let me show you in more
- 10:25detail how to make sure that these two
- 10:26text boxes are connected to these two
- 10:29text boxes on the next slide. Let's
- 10:31delete these guys for now and over here
- 10:33we can just select these two guys, let's
- 10:35copy them and let's paste them into the
- 10:38next slide and let's resize them. Let's
- 10:40use font size of 40 and now let's
- 10:42position them anywhere that we wish, for
- 10:44example, at the top left corner of the
- 10:47slide. That's looking beautiful. And now
- 10:49it's important that for this slide we
- 10:51choose morph transition. Let's go with
- 10:53the morph and you can adjust your morph
- 10:55transition duration if you wish. I'm
- 10:56going with 1 second and now these two
- 10:59huge text boxes should nicely morph into
- 11:02smaller text boxes on the next slide.
- 11:05So, let's check it out on the full
- 11:06screen. Okay, so first of all, let's
- 11:08click on this section zoom and we zoom
- 11:10in and in order to transition
- 11:11automatically to the next slide, we
- 11:13could enable this option in the
- 11:15transitions. Let's enable after 0
- 11:18seconds. This way we should transition
- 11:20to the next slide automatically. Let's
- 11:22try that again. Let's click on the
- 11:24section zoom and skedaddle, we
- 11:25transition automatically to the next
- 11:27slide and as you can see those text
- 11:29boxes at the top are shrinking because
- 11:31we're using morph transition. That's
- 11:33nice. And now to create the rest of the
- 11:35content for this slide, I've used some
- 11:37simple circles with some icons from
- 11:38PowerPoint and some text boxes, and I've
- 11:41grouped these guys into separate groups,
- 11:43and then I've added a simple flying
- 11:45animation and a basic zoom animation to
- 11:47each of these groups, and this is what
- 11:49we got. That's nice. And if you'd like
- 11:51to learn how to create mind-blowing
- 11:53PowerPoint animations, then check out
- 11:54pptskill.com. And next, let's insert a
- 11:57second section. Let's call it section
- 11:59two. And now to save some time, we can
- 12:01reuse the first slide from the previous
- 12:03section. Let's just make sure we update
- 12:06all the text boxes. So, this time it's
- 12:07going to be 0.2 strategy. And next,
- 12:10let's add the second slide to our
- 12:12section number two with this beautiful
- 12:14compass. Let's get back to our
- 12:15presentation. Let's insert a second
- 12:18slide. Okay, once again, let's use a
- 12:20dark background. And let me find a
- 12:23picture with this compass. Here it is.
- 12:26Okay. And by the way, to create this
- 12:28image, I've used the image of the
- 12:30magnifying glass. I've just asked
- 12:32ChatGPT to replace it with compass.
- 12:35That's how easy it is. Okay. And once
- 12:37again, we can add that vignette effect
- 12:39to our compass image as well, so that
- 12:41the white text stands out better. And
- 12:44let me grab these two text boxes over
- 12:45here. Let's paste them into this slide.
- 12:48Let's just make sure that we update all
- 12:49the text boxes so that we have 0.2
- 12:52strategy both on slide number four and
- 12:55slide number five. This way, the morph
- 12:57transition will work as expected. And
- 12:59now, we can jump into our home slide,
- 13:01and let's insert the second section
- 13:04zoom. Here it is. And now, let's nicely
- 13:06fit it inside of the second bubble. Once
- 13:09again, for the height, 1.9 cm. That's
- 13:11good. No zoom border. Okay, return to
- 13:14zoom, and let's click on zoom background
- 13:16for that transparent, beautiful
- 13:17background. And let's check it out on
- 13:19the full screen. And once we click on
- 13:21the second section, we transition nicely
- 13:23into the strategy slide. That's super
- 13:25duper awesome. And now, let me add the
- 13:27rest of the content that we need for
- 13:29this strategy slide. So, let me just
- 13:31grab everything from my original slide,
- 13:33and let's paste all of these elements
- 13:35over here. Once again, this template is
- 13:38in the video description if you'd like
- 13:39to use it right away. And next, my
- 13:42friends, by following the same steps,
- 13:43let me quickly add the remaining section
- 13:45zooms, and I'll catch you in a second
- 13:47where we can check out the final result.
- 13:50Congratulations, my friends. Now you
- 13:52know how you can create these kind of
- 13:53cinematic presentations with section
- 13:56zooms and animated video backgrounds.
- 13:58And if you'd like to become a true
- 14:00Slidem expert, then watch this video
- 14:02next. Thank you so much for watching,
- 14:05and I'll see you there. Peace.
