  1. 0:00Just going to leave me here alone.  Oh, we got some people joining. Bella,
  2. 0:04look. Got people. Got people looking  at us. Say hi. August 18. So, Chris,
  3. 0:12it's your house. You can go inside with us  if you'd like or you could stay out here. It
  4. 0:16doesn't matter to us. Doesn't matter. I mean, free  rain. Just whatever you got to do. Okay. Like,
  5. 0:23I can chill on the decks on the side of the sun,  but Okay. Cool. All right. Whatever you'd like.
  6. 0:32How long have you guys been married? So, we've  been together 8 years. Married six this year.
  7. 0:37Okay. And this is very unusual behavior. Yeah. Let  me get that dog out of here. Okay. She's going to
  8. 0:43flip. If this stillness holds you, a quiet gesture  helps sustain these long form investigations.
  9. 0:51Taking a moment to let Why did you kill your  wife and children? allows stories like this to
  10. 0:56be examined with the time and care they demand,  bringing hidden truths into focus, one layer at
  11. 1:03a time. Pops. Tell them you love them. You're  welcome. We love you. They love you. Candy. Oh,
  12. 1:11yeah. We're That's in here. Oh, that was No, the  doorbell. Is that a ring doorbell? Like when it
  13. 1:19when you got a visitor, it does. And but I don't  think the speaker is on to where you hear it like
  14. 1:25if I Okay. My question I guess my question for you  is would it show her leaving with the kids? Did
  15. 1:30you have any alert came out this if she came out  here? Yes. Like if did you have any alerts today
  16. 1:35with that? Just when her friends were here. Does  it only record when the doorbell rings or anytime
  17. 1:40someone if you're like right here? It should just  start the proximity should hit up. Okay. Anybody
  18. 1:48had any anything on that today? Just her friends.  And what time was that? 12:10 and 10 2 minutes
  19. 1:55afternoon. Okay. But nothing between the time when  she got here. No, like she got here at 2:00. Only
  20. 2:02thing Yeah. 2 2:00 this morning, like 1:48 on  here. And the only thing that was weird was that
  21. 2:09the garage door set as left open after I left.  And it might have been the sensor, but like my
  22. 2:15phone doesn't show when it when it for your alarm.  Yeah. It doesn't show if it shuts. And who's your
  23. 2:19lawn through? Vivid. Okay. But the Nikki, her  friend that was that came here about 12:10. She
  24. 2:25said the garage door was shut when she got here.  Okay. That was the only thing that was weird. All
  25. 2:29right. Were you going to hang out out there or you  want to come in here? I'll stay right here. Okay.
  26. 2:36I just want them back. I just I just want them to  come back. And if if they're not safe right now,
  27. 2:43that's what's that's what's tearing  me apart. Cuz if they are safe,
  28. 2:47they're coming back. But if they're  not, this this this has got to stop.
  29. 2:50Like somebody has to come forward. I don't  want to be in it. Are you okay? Get lower
  30. 3:05of trust with respect to the victim in violation  of Colorado Revised Statutes 18-3-102 subsection
  31. 3:131 subsection F. Do you understand? Yes, sir.  Count five alleges murder in the first degree
  32. 3:20of class one felony. It alleges that between and  including August 12th, 2018 and August 13th, 2018,
  33. 3:30Christopher Lee Watts unlawfully, feloniously,  and knowingly cause a death of Celeste Watts,
  34. 3:36a child who had not yet attained 12 years of age  and the defendant was in a position of trust with
  35. 3:42respect to the victim in violation of Colorado  Revised Statutes 18-3-102 subsection 1 subsection
  36. 3:51F. Do you understand? Yes, sir. With  regard to these first five counts,
  37. 3:56the minimum sentence that the court  could impose if convicted is life
  38. 4:02uh imprisonment in the Colorado Department  of Corrections and the maximum death,
  39. 4:06the sentence is death. Do you understand?  Let me also point out that pursuant to uh
  40. 4:13rule 32.1 of the rules of criminal procedure,  CeCe, play patty cake on daddy's head. Yeah,
  41. 4:20she's gripping it right now. CeCe, play  patty. Kick a daddy's head. Go whack it daddy.
  42. 4:30Don't do that, Cece. Don't do it. Someone's got
  43. 4:40like a daddy. Don't spit. Don't spit  on daddy, please. Oh, that's a shower.
  44. 4:57Careful, Bella. Don't fall. Okay. Whack it. Daddy.
  45. 5:02Whack it. Daddy. One more time.  Daddy. Whack it. Daddy. Whack.
  46. 5:12objectively say that this is perhaps the  most uh inhumane and vicious crime that I
  47. 5:23have handled out of the thousands of cases that I  have seen and nothing less than a maximum sentence
  48. 5:34um would be appropriate and anything less than the  maximum sentence would depreciate the seriousness
  49. 5:41of this offense. Deputies, I would respectfully  ask that you take this defendant into custody
  50. 5:48and have him serve the rest of his life in the  Department of Corrections. We are in recess.
  51. 6:01Girls,
  52. 6:04you want chocolate? No chocolate. chocolate.  If you want chocolate, you just get this bowl.
  53. 6:13Bigger one. We're going to  go. Um, I love you, too.
  54. 6:23This is the morning. This is why I love that I  thrive. I'm Cindy Watts. Watson. Thank you. I
  55. 6:31have authorized you to make a statement  to the court as paternal grandparents
  56. 6:38uh of the children. Uh and if you choose  not to make a statement but your design,
  57. 6:44Miss Powers, chooses to, she can do so as  well. How would you like to proceed today?
  58. 6:51Start. I want you to start. Who's  going to be speaking today? Your honor,
  59. 6:55initially um they've asked me and they're  hoping that they have the strength to speak,
  60. 6:59but if they do not, they've written out their  statements and asked me to finish for them. So,
  61. 7:04that would be fine. Who would like to go first? If  I could start, your honor. On behalf of the Watts,
  62. 7:10your honor, and to the community, we thank you  for the opportunity and the recognition under
  63. 7:16the victim bill of rights. We come today as the  grandparents and the parent of the daughter and
  64. 7:25children whose life was taken in this case. We  are not here to ask for leniency. We are not in
  65. 7:32any way condoning or tolerating the the crime that  has occurred and the pain that has been caused.
  66. 7:41We join in our daughter-in-law and grandchildren's  family in saying this should never have happened.
  67. 7:50This is not condonable. This is something  that we will never get over. We appreciate
  68. 7:59the consideration that everyone has paid, most  especially the families that have lost everyone.
  69. 8:08We appreciate that they begged for Christopher's  life. We agree and echo what they have said that
  70. 8:17it is not his place to take anyone's life, nor  would it be our place as a community to take
  71. 8:23his life. So, we thank you for the opportunity  and for every consideration and effort that's
  72. 8:30been put out. The prosecution in this case has  in fact respected the victim bill of rights.
  73. 8:36They took the time to explain that the  information that my clients had at the time that
  74. 8:42they were interviewed was not correct. They were  misinformed. They were searching for answers. They
  75. 8:49were not intending to cause any pain to anyone.  And they appreciate that the prosecution answered
  76. 8:55their questions and gave them the time and the  respect and the consideration so that they could
  77. 9:01tell this court and everyone in this community  that the interview content was not their message.
  78. 9:08That they accept that their son has done this,  that they accept that he chose to plead guilty,
  79. 9:15that he sought and requested their consent and  agreement for a life sentence. They appreciate
  80. 9:23that he is given the opportunity to serve that  life sentence. It is his responsibility. It
  81. 9:29is his sentence and it is not enough to make up  for what has done. We understand and we join the
  82. 9:38family in that we have questions. We don't know  how such a thing could possibly happen or that a
  83. 9:43man that was responsible for raising his children  and protecting his wife would take the steps that
  84. 9:48he did and that he would disregard their bodies  and the love that he had for them and they had
  85. 9:54for him and everyone else and take the gestures  and put this community through the investigation
  86. 10:00and the discovery and the responsibility of  bringing justice. We do not understand that. We
  87. 10:06do not think it was appropriate. We cannot begin  to think that an explanation will ever justify
  88. 10:12it. My clients indicate that they understand  that a full opportunity for a confession with
  89. 10:21all of the responsibility and accountability  has not occurred. and they support the family
  90. 10:26and the request that that happen if not today  at an appropriate time in an appropriate manner
  91. 10:33so that everyone can have peace to understand to  the best of their ability the details that they
  92. 10:39need and to have their questions answered. And  by giving this opportunity of a life sentence,
  93. 10:45we hope that he embraces that moment. That had  the death penalty been pursued, there would not
  94. 10:52have been an opportunity to be accountable and to  give a full confession. And had the death penalty
  95. 10:57been sought, council would have fought for his  life. The prosecutors would have been engaged
  96. 11:03in a multipleear battle. The families would have  been torn apart. This community would have had
  97. 11:08to subsidize it and endure it. And we have so much  respect and gratefulness that that did not happen.
  98. 11:17We would strongly encourage Christopher Watts  to give that full confession in the tone and in
  99. 11:22the timing that he thinks is appropriate with the  guidance of his council. We feel that it would be
  100. 11:27appropriate and helpful to ease the pain and the  suffering. But we also say we don't think that
  101. 11:34there's anything that he can say that will ever  account for his behavior. There's nothing that
  102. 11:41can be done to cure the harm he has caused. And he  has the responsibility to serve his sentence with
  103. 11:50dignity and with regard for everyone and to spend  every breath that he has left in an atonement for
  104. 11:58what he has done. Yes. If I could just have you  state your name for the record. Cindy Watts. Thank
  105. 12:06you. My name is Cindy Watts. I am the grandmother  of two beautiful granddaughters, Bella Marie,
  106. 12:13Celeste Katherine Watts. I am also the mother  of Christopher Watts, who I will be directing
  107. 12:20most of my statement to. First, I'd like to begin  by recognizing the absolute horror of this crime
  108. 12:27and acknowledging the devastating loss that both  the Ruse family as well as our family have faced.
  109. 12:33Our families have been irreparably broken by the  needless deaths of Shannan, Bella, Cece, and Nico.
  110. 12:42This is something we will never get over. We will  always mourn the loss of our family, and in that
  111. 12:49we are united in our grief. I am still struggling  to understand how and why this tragedy occurred.
  112. 12:58I may never be able to understand and accept it,  but I pray for peace and healing for all of us.
  113. 13:06Now to my son Christopher, I have known you since  the day you were born into this world. I have
  114. 13:14watched you grow from a quiet and sweet curious  child who Bella reminded me so much of to a young
  115. 13:24man who worked hard in sports and later mechanics  to achieve your goals. You are a good friend,
  116. 13:32brother, father, and son. You have we have loved  you from the beginning and we still love you now.
  117. 13:45This might be hard for some to understand how  I can sit here under these circumstances and
  118. 13:52tell you although we are heartbroken, although we  can't imagine what could have led us to this day,
  119. 13:59but we love you. Maybe you can't believe it  either. As the Lord said in Jeremiah 3:31,
  120. 14:09"I have loved you with an everlasting  love. Therefore, I have continued my
  121. 14:15faithfulness to you and you." As your  mother, Chris, I have always loved you,
  122. 14:21and I still do. I hate what has happened.  Your father and sister and I are struggling
  123. 14:26to understand why. But we will remain faithful  as your family just as God remains faithful
  124. 14:34because of his unconditional love for all  for us all. We love you and we forgive you.
  125. 14:48Thank you. Judge, if I could read Mr. Watt's  statement. Yes. My name is Ronnie Watts and
  126. 14:55I am the grandfather of Bella Celeste Nico Watts  and I am the father of Shannon. I am the father
  127. 15:04of Christopher Watts as well. And one of the most  important things I've done in my life is to raise
  128. 15:10my children and to watch as they started their  own families. I spent many years coaching little
  129. 15:17league and talking to my son, taking him to the  races and sharing my love and knowledge of cars
  130. 15:24with him. He was just as involved with his girls.  I believe he loves his girls. I know he does.
  131. 15:33This tragedy has impacted my family in so many  ways. Beyond losing our precious grandchildren,
  132. 15:40our beloved daughter-in-law, we are forced to  question everything. We still don't have all
  133. 15:46the answers. And I hope one day, Christopher,  you can help us. Chris, I want to talk to you
  134. 15:55as a father and son. You are here today accepting  responsibility, but I want to tell you this now.
  135. 16:07I love you. Nothing will ever change that. And I  want you to find peace. And today is your first
  136. 16:15step. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, God  is faithful and just and will forgive us." Chris,
  137. 16:26I forgive you and your sister forgives you and  we will never abandon you and we love you. Dad.
  138. 16:36Judge, thank you for the  opportunity to address the court.
  139. 16:43I don't want him to really go in the ocean.  Ocean. I mean, my turn. Ready, set, go.
  140. 16:55Ready, set, go.
  141. 17:00The pool opens in two weeks, too.
  142. 17:06What's the degrees today? 85 the last I checked.  120. No. Cece. Yeah. CeCe girl. Oh god. Oh my
  143. 17:19gosh. Are you kidding? She can she can climb that  fast. Your honor, there are no words to adequately
  144. 17:26describe the unimaginable tragedy that brings us  before this court today. By my comments, I'm not
  145. 17:33even going to try to express the horror, the pain,  or the suffering that the defendant has caused to
  146. 17:39these families, to this community, and to all  who were a part of this investigation. However,
  147. 17:44I do want to spend a few minutes sharing  with the court the details of the crime,
  148. 17:49as so far, you've only had an opportunity to  review the affidavit and a few facts here and
  149. 17:53there that have been offered to the court in  the motions and pleadings that have been filed.
  150. 17:59The questions that have screamed out to anyone  who will listen since August 13th of 2018 are
  151. 18:05why and how. Why did this have to happen? How  could a seemingly normal husband and father
  152. 18:12annihilate his entire family for what? These  are the questions that only one individual
  153. 18:19in this courtroom or on this planet knows the  answers to. I fully expect we will not receive
  154. 18:25the answers to these questions today. nor  will we at any point in the future. I don't
  155. 18:31expect that he will ever tell the truth about  what truly happened or why. Even if he did,
  156. 18:37there is no rational way that any human being  could find those answers, acceptable responses
  157. 18:43to such horrific questions. The best we can do is  try to piece together some kind of understanding
  158. 18:48from the evidence that is available to us. And  the evidence tells us this. The defendant coldly
  159. 18:54and deliberately ended four lives, not in a fit of  rage, not by way of accident, but in a calculated
  160. 19:02and sickening manner. Shannan was 34 years old.  She had married the defendant in November of 2012.
  161. 19:11Over the weekend leading up to August 13th, she  had been at a work conference in Phoenix, Arizona,
  162. 19:15and uh returned home in the early morning hours  of August 13th. We know that she got home about
  163. 19:211:45 in the morning. The doorbell camera on their  home shows her arriving back home uh from the
  164. 19:27airport. Shortly thereafter, at least according  to the defendant, they had a what he referred to
  165. 19:33as an emotional conversation about the state of  their marriage and about what their lives would
  166. 19:38look like going forward. What was said during that  emotional conversation, only he knows. What we do
  167. 19:46know is that shortly after that, the defendant  strangled her to death with his own hands.
  168. 19:55We know that he slowly took her life the morning  of August 13th. We know that this was not done in
  169. 20:02an uncontrolled, vengeful manner that he tried  to describe to agents from CBI and the FBI.
  170. 20:08If that were the case, you would expect to  see vicious, horrible bruising about her neck,
  171. 20:14shoulders, and face. You would expect to see the  highway bone in her neck broken. You would expect
  172. 20:20to see some kind of defensive wounds on his body  as she struggled and fought for her own life. None
  173. 20:28of those are present. The only injuries that  were on Shannan's body were one set of finger
  174. 20:35uh or bruising, what appeared to be fingernail  or finger mark bruising to the right side of her
  175. 20:40neck. We know that our experts will tell us that  it takes two to four minutes to strangle someone
  176. 20:47to death manually with their own hands. The  horror that she felt as the man that she loved
  177. 20:52wrapped his hands around her throat and choked  the life out of her must have been unimaginable.
  178. 21:01Even worse, what must Bella, age four, and  Celeste, age three, must have experienced
  179. 21:08or thought as their father, the one man on this  planet who was supposed to nurture and protect
  180. 21:13them, was snuffing out their lives. They both  died from smothering. Let me say that again.
  181. 21:24The man seated to my right  smothered his daughters.
  182. 21:30Why? Imagine the horror in Bella's mind  as her father took her last last breaths
  183. 21:37away. Your honor, understand very clearly.  Bella fought back for her life. The frenulum,
  184. 21:46the connective tissue between her upper lip  and her gum, had an inch and a half, excuse me,
  185. 21:51a centimeter and a half laceration. She bit her  tongue multiple times before she died. She fought
  186. 22:01back for her life as her father smothered her.  Celeste had no such injuries. In fact, she had
  187. 22:11no external injuries at all. But according to the  medical examiner, she was smothered nonetheless.
  188. 22:20The defendant then methodically and calmly loaded  their bodies into his work truck, not in a hasty
  189. 22:28hasty or disorganized way. He was seen from the  neighbor's doorbell camera backing his truck into
  190. 22:35the driveway, going back and forth into the house,  and back out to the truck three different times.
  191. 22:43one time for each of their bodies. He then drove  them away from their family home one final time,
  192. 22:51intent on hiding any evidence of the crimes  that he had just committed. In one final sign
  193. 22:58of callousness for his wife, his daughters,  and their unborn son and their remains,
  194. 23:04he drove them to a location that he  thought no one would ever find them,
  195. 23:08to one of the oil tank batteries with which he  was so familiar. He knew this was safe. He had
  196. 23:14texted a coworker the night before saying, "I'll  head out to that site. I'll take care of it."
  197. 23:21He had carefully ensured that he would be alone  in the middle of the plains to secrete away the
  198. 23:26remains of his family in a place that he hoped  they would never be found. In one final measure
  199. 23:33of disrespect for the family he once had, he  ensured that they would not be together even
  200. 23:38in death. or he so he thought. He disposed of  them in different locations. He buried Chenan
  201. 23:46and Nico in a shallow grave away from the oil  tanks. Bella and Celeste were thrown away in
  202. 23:53the oil tanks at this facility. Different tanks so  these little girls wouldn't be together in death.
  203. 24:01Imagine this, your honor. This  defendant took those little girls
  204. 24:07and put them through a hatch at the  top of an oil tank 8 in in diameter.
  205. 24:15Bella had scratches on her left buttocks  from being shoved through this hole. A
  206. 24:21tuft of blonde hair was found on  the edge of one of these hatches.
  207. 24:25The defendant told investigators  that Bella's tank seemed emptier
  208. 24:29than CC's because of the sound that the  splashes made. These were his daughters.
  209. 24:38Significantly, when his co-workers arrived  at the tank battery later that morning,
  210. 24:42to a person, they all described him as acting  completely normally. It was a normal workday,
  211. 24:48even while his daughter sank in the  oil and water not far away from him.
  212. 24:53And then his efforts at deception truly began.  We've all seen the emotionless interviews that
  213. 25:00the defendant gives to the local media asking  for help in locating his family. We watched as
  214. 25:07he claimed that the house was empty without them  and that he hoped that they were somewhere safe
  215. 25:11and that he just wanted them to come home. He told  investigators that they were at home sleeping when
  216. 25:17he left for work that morning and that Shannan  had told him that he was she was taking the
  217. 25:22girls to a friend's house for the day. What is  striking about this case, your honor, beyond the
  218. 25:28horrors that I've already described to you, is  the number of collateral victims that he created
  219. 25:33by his actions. While he stood in front of TV  cameras asking for the safe return of his family,
  220. 25:39scores of law enforcement officers, neighbors,  friends, and family scoured the area, fredded for
  221. 25:47their safe return. They texted him, begging for  any information and sending him their best wishes.
  222. 25:53All the while, he hid what he had done. The list  of indirect victims does not end there. Think of
  223. 25:59the firefighters in the Colorado State Patrol  hazmat experts who had to dawn protective suits
  224. 26:05and who were called upon to pull Bella and Celeste  out of those oil tanks or the coroner employees
  225. 26:12who had to conduct these autopsies or the victim  assistants who frank frantically attempted to ease
  226. 26:18the suffering of those affected. All of this, your  honor, for what? Why? Why did this have to happen?
  227. 26:27His motive was simple, your honor. He had a desire  for a fresh start, to begin a relationship with a
  228. 26:35new love that overpowered all decency and feelings  for his wife, his daughters, and unborn son. While
  229. 26:42Shannan texted the defendant over and over again  in the days and weeks leading up to her death,
  230. 26:47attempting to save her marriage, the defendant  secreted pictures of his girlfriend into his
  231. 26:52phone and searched and texted, excuse me, texted  her at all hours of the night. While Shannan sent
  232. 26:59the defendant self, self-help and relationship  counseling books, one of which, ironically enough,
  233. 27:05was thrown in the garbage. He was searching the  internet for secluded vacation spots to take his
  234. 27:11new love in researching jewelry. And while Shannan  took the girls to visit family in North Carolina,
  235. 27:17the defendant went to car museums and the sand  dunes with his new girlfriend. The stark contrast
  236. 27:24between the subjects of their internet and text  content is absolutely stunning. Even the morning
  237. 27:31after he killed them and disposed of their bodies,  he made several phone calls. One was to the school
  238. 27:39where the girls were supposed to start, telling  the school that he would that the girls would not
  239. 27:44be coming to school anymore, that they were being  unenrolled, presumably to give him some more time
  240. 27:49before law law enforcement notification about  them going missing. He contacted a realtor to
  241. 27:58start discussing the selling of his house and he  texted with his girlfriend about their future.
  242. 28:06None of this answers the questions of why.  However, if he was this happy and wanted a
  243. 28:11new start, get a divorce. You don't annihilate  your family and throw them away like garbage.
  244. 28:19Why did Nico, Celeste, Bella, and Shannan have  to lose their lives in order for him to get
  245. 28:25what he wanted? Your honor, Justice demands the  maximum sentence under the agreement reached by
  246. 28:30the parties. As you will recall, the agreement  calls for life sentences as to Shannan, Bella,
  247. 28:36and Celeste, and all of those to run consecutively  to one another. It also calls for the count of
  248. 28:42unlawful termination of a pregnancy as to Nico to  run consecutively to counts one, two, and three.
  249. 28:50I would suggest that the extreme aggravation  present in the defendant's conduct and in
  250. 28:55his the efforts that I have described mandate  that the sentences for counts 7, 8, and nine,
  251. 29:00the tampering with a deceased human body, each be  the maximum of 12 years and that those sentences
  252. 29:05run consecutively to one another. It is very clear  that each of these acts, excuse me, that these
  253. 29:11were not the subject of one act, but each oil tank  that he walked up with his daughter's bodies and
  254. 29:17the hole that he dug for his wife and unborn  son mandate a mandatory consecutive sentence.
  255. 29:25It's been alluded to this morning, but  the defendant was certainly eligible
  256. 29:29for the death penalty in this case under  the existing law in the state of Colorado.
  257. 29:34As you heard, Shannan's family strongly opposed  my office seeking the death penalty and being
  258. 29:39bound to the crim criminal justice system for  the next several decades. That's in large part,
  259. 29:44as you've heard, why we have reached the  agreement that we have. Four lives were
  260. 29:49lost at the hands of the defendant on August 13th  for reasons that we will never fully understand,
  261. 29:54nor will we know. In the end, the Rusk family  was much more merciful towards him than he was
  262. 30:01towards his wife, his daughters, and his  unborn son. Prison for the remainder of
  263. 30:07his life is exactly where he belongs for  murdering his entire family. Thank you.
  264. 30:16Hey guys, good morning. Or I know for  Colorado people it's good morning,
  265. 30:22good afternoon for everybody else. I wanted to  come here live because today is the big day for
  266. 30:27the huge our cocktail party is tonight where  product X is going to be released. We're super
  267. 30:34excited. We're heading to the pool right now and  then we have a massage today paid for by Lavel
  268. 30:43um today at 3:30. So Chris and I are super  excited. So, we're going to get a massage
  269. 30:49after we lay by the pool for a little bit  and maybe go to the beach again and then
  270. 30:53we're going to go to the cocktail party  and we will be live there tonight. Um,
  271. 31:04I'd like to say to the courts that
  272. 31:09Shannon, Bella, and Nico love and caring  people. They love life. They love being
  273. 31:16around people who love them. They also they  always had good times. This is the first time
  274. 31:25they went to the beach this year and they  loved it. But God only knows what happened
  275. 31:32that night. Life will never be the same  without Shannon Bell and Celeste and Nico
  276. 31:41had all their lives to live. They were taken by a  heartless one. This is the heartless one. The evil
  277. 31:50monster who dare you take the lives of my daughter  Shannon, Bella, Celeste, and Nico. I trusted you
  278. 31:57to take care of them, not kill them. And they also  trusted you, the heartless monster. And then you
  279. 32:06take them out like trash. You disgust me. They  were loving and caring people. You may have taken
  280. 32:16their bodies from me, but you will never take the  love they had from me. They loved us more than you
  281. 32:24will ever know. Because you know what love You  don't know what love is. Because if you did, you
  282. 32:31would not have killed them. You monster thought  you would get away with this. I don't know how.
  283. 32:39The cameras do not lie. You carry them out like  trash of the house. Yes, I seen the videotape.
  284. 32:51You buried my my daughter Shannon and and Nico in  a shallow grave and then you put Bella and Celeste
  285. 32:57in huge containers of crude oil. You heartless  monster. You have you have to live with this
  286. 33:06vision every day of your life. And I hope you see  that every time you close your eyes at night. Oh,
  287. 33:12I forgot. You have no heart or feelings or love.  Let me tell you something. I will think of them
  288. 33:18every day of my life. And I love them every day of  my life. Prison is too good for you. This This is
  289. 33:27hard to say, but may God have mercy on your soul.  I hope you enjoy your new life. It's nothing like
  290. 33:33the one you had out here. May the courts have  no mercy on you. It's hard every day. It hurts
  291. 33:40in so many ways. I have read heard people say  that you're not a monster. No, you are not.
  292. 33:48You're an evil monster. Thank you. Love you,  Shannon Bell and Nico. Love you, Papa and Deb.
  293. 33:57And one other thing and Shannon says she is super  excited for justice today. Thank you. Thank you.
  294. 34:19We are live at the cocktail party.  Can't tell, but this place is packed.
  295. 34:27There is so many um I can't get close if I  lose signal any if I step one foot forward
  296. 34:33and I lose signal. There's thousands of people  here. Like seriously, a lot of people earned
  297. 34:39this trip to be here. Absolutely positively  amazing. I don't think I can go live tonight,
  298. 34:46but I will definitely record some stuff and  post it here shortly. I'm going to still try
  299. 34:50my best to go live, you guys. Everyone needs  to deserve this. Everyone, absolutely everyone,
  300. 35:01tell them how much fun it is. It is amazing. This  place is nuts. It is phenomenal. We're going to
  301. 35:11go have some fun. Um, get to hear what's  coming out. It's absolutely exciting. Um,
  302. 35:19we're super excited. Um, we'll be back here live  uh shortly, guys. Love you. Right here is good.
  303. 35:30Okay. All right. I'll be right back.  All right. Just going to get Tammy
  304. 35:34so she can introduce herself.  All right. Okay. Be right back.
  305. 36:19You all right? Yeah. These rooms are recorded.  Okay. So, Angie is saying here's subject to
  306. 36:27recording, just so you know. Okay. And you said  on your text that you might have remembered some
  307. 36:31more stuff. Yeah. So, let's do your phones first.  Um, I need to They gave me a piece of paper to
  308. 36:37transfer my contacts. Wouldn't do it for me, but  you should be able to just put them on the iCloud.
  309. 36:43I don't know how to do this. They said to follow  this app. I can't even find the app store on this
  310. 36:52phone. Is it Android? Yeah. So strange. I um I  tried to transfer all the stuff from this phone
  311. 37:04to this phone last night and started syncing  up like old text like stuff I don't even have
  312. 37:09saved in here. Any of them from Chris? Yeah, a  few. But not many. It's pretty short. There's
  313. 37:15like 10 or 12 and there's like a few from those  days but most of it is Hi. Hello. Tammy to meet
  314. 37:24you there. I'm Stacy Galbra. Nice to meet you.  How are you doing? All right. Getting through
  315. 37:31it. Trying. Yeah. Stressing out. Stressing  out. Yeah. You look stressed out. Did you
  316. 37:38get some therapy figured out? I'm waiting for you  guys to get back to me on that, but I'm trying.
  317. 37:45help. Yeah. Does Hazel need to Yeah, we're  going to see if Hazel comes in. We're So,
  318. 37:50W County is just I had to write a letter  yesterday for W County to approve uh to
  319. 37:56pay for her treatment. Oh. And then it's got to  go through a board because it's kind of unusual.
  320. 38:02Yeah. Since she's not an eyewitness, right? But,  uh it sounded like there was not going to be any
  321. 38:07opposition to it. It's just a process. Yeah. So,  Okay. So, when you go through the text messages,
  322. 38:13Tammy and probably Stacy will be there. Okay. So,  you guys know each other. Um or if they reach out
  323. 38:18to you, you know that they're not the media. Yeah.  Can you guys give me your cards? I got you. Okay.
  324. 38:24I just now with this new phone, it's like I got  so many numbers that I I'm sure I can. I need to
  325. 38:30just deal with that. Like, if you guys can help me  get all of my contacts from this phone, so I can
  326. 38:34get a tech guy maybe to help help me cuz I'm not  gave me instructions. This is your old phone. This
  327. 38:41is the one that I use for communication. This is  the one that's going to be good. This one's mine
  328. 38:45now. This is nicer. I know iPhones suck. I'm  kind of relieved to have this back. Okay. So,
  329. 38:51you're going to you want to move contacts from  there to there. That's all I want to do. Once
  330. 38:54you guys do that, then you guys can have this  phone. I mean, he gave me a way to do it. So,
  331. 38:59I think I need to connect to Wi-Fi and then I  need to download this app. And then I think once
  332. 39:05I download it, I can sync it up. And I need  to just download the app on both phones. So,
  333. 39:11let me get a guy who knows about Wi-Fi. Is your  password still 653038? Yeah, that hasn't changed.
  334. 39:19So, that's going to be that one. And which which  one is getting all the new text messages? Your
  335. 39:24new phone? Mhm. I only got a few and they're like  now I get what you're saying like they're out of
  336. 39:28order. They're scrambled. They're missing. They  don't make sense. I got super excited when I saw
  337. 39:34them cuz I was like maybe it'll be all of them but  it's not. So maybe what I'll ask we have a device
  338. 39:41that maybe we can download that too. This one too.  Sorry. I mean I don't know if that'll work but we
  339. 39:45can try it. Here's mine for Thank you. And then  Kevin knows how to get a hold of us after hours
  340. 39:51in that too. I appreciate that. I'll be right  back. Okay. Oh, okay. Are you giving her a spare
  341. 39:59phone? She has her own spare phone, but when she  linked her accounts, a bunch of messages between
  342. 40:04her and Chris were recovered on her new phone.  Okay. So, I'm going to have to probably just
  343. 40:08celebrate right now. Oh, okay. On our new phone,  so we don't have to take all our phones. Yeah.
  344. 40:13No doubt. Are you good in here for a bit? Okay.  You want some water or anything, please? Okay.
  345. 40:24Okay. So app store
  346. 40:59Okay.
  347. 41:21water. Thank you. Appreciate.  Anything else? Okay. So,
  348. 41:24be here in just a few minutes. Okay. Thank you.
  349. 42:25Yeah.
  350. 45:06[ __ ] [ __ ] It's just so much [ __ ] [ __ ]
  351. 46:53Come out of there.
  352. 47:35What the [ __ ]
  353. 48:00All right. Tech guys coming to help us. I just  I would do it myself, but it's like there's so
  354. 48:07many different knots. I haven't used this phone  in years. Like right now my So it's not very new.
  355. 48:12This is old. Okay. I haven't used this since  like 2016. And so all these numbers on here
  356. 48:20are numbers of people I've gotten since then. What  I don't want is with like the media and all this
  357. 48:25other stuff going on is have a phone just full of  unknown contact. Sure, I get it. So he's going to
  358. 48:31come over and turn your Wi-Fi on and figure out  how to move. He knows. Okay, I'm about to do that.
  359. 48:37I give up. Okay, so your phone this time. Do you  have any objections to us looking at everything
  360. 48:46in your phone? Why do you even need that? I'm just  curious like why do you need everything as opposed
  361. 48:51to just stuff? Well, because it's easier to get  it. And when if we're looking at all the material,
  362. 49:00let's say I take everything off your phone, I can  put a date in like let's say August 10th through
  363. 49:05the 15th because those are critical days. Uh-huh.  But other conversations between you and Chris or
  364. 49:11other text messages between you and Chris from  um June or July, then it makes it harder for me
  365. 49:18to find all those. Do you understand what I mean?  It's easier for them to just take everything. I
  366. 49:23don't know. Are they? Yeah. I mean, except for  when I first met him and it was his APC thing.
  367. 49:28Okay. And then what about u your phone? It's  always his 900 number. Number all the time,
  368. 49:36right? like it's always that one or originally was  this. We talked about your GPS uh location like
  369. 49:43knowing where your phone is at certain times. I  think you guys can have all that. I just was like,
  370. 49:47"Oh my god, I have so many texts on here between  me and all my friends." I'm like, "Do I really
  371. 49:51want all this stuff?" Well, is there anything  in those texts that you'd be concerned with? Not
  372. 49:56really. So, well, not really or yes or no? No. I  mean like I the other day my dad and I decided to
  373. 50:03do some damage control cuz a lot of people were  like hey call me I don't know what to say and I
  374. 50:07just told them all like I didn't say anything. I  pretty much just said mediators contact you tell
  375. 50:13them no comment. I was like please be nice to  them like you do not need to talk to them. It
  376. 50:19was like I'm safe. I'm not in trouble. Breaking  laws and I was just like just send your love and
  377. 50:24support and that was all I said to people. So, did  that prompt all the phone calls of people going,
  378. 50:29"Are you okay?" They were prompting me.  That is why I did that because I didn't
  379. 50:34even want to like say that, but I was getting  all sorts of texts from people that were like,
  380. 50:39"Me is trying to contact me. I don't know what  to do." I didn't tell them that I was a witness.
  381. 50:44I didn't tell them anything about that. It was  just like, "Just say no comment. I need you to
  382. 50:50do this." Okay? And then a couple of my like super  super close friends, I asked them if they would be
  383. 50:55courteous enough to take all the pictures that we  had of each other off Facebook and social media
  384. 50:59and they said yes. And that was like a couple of  really close friends. Is there any text messages
  385. 51:05between you and friends that reference anything  that would be concerning regarding this case?
  386. 51:12No. Like talking about Chris. I think you've told  me that you've never even really talked with my
  387. 51:17friends about him. No. And like my friend's dad  died last night, like yesterday. I'm not worried
  388. 51:22about that. No, I know. But she started like,  oh my god, she was really drunk last night. She
  389. 51:28started like freaking out. She's like, I don't  know what's going on in your life. She's like,
  390. 51:32I don't know if it pertains to this case. And  she like just sent me like a screenshot of a
  391. 51:36news article of that case. And she was just like,  she's like, "What about conversations?" Remember,
  392. 51:42I I didn't mention that it had anything to do with  that. She's like, "I don't know if that's what
  393. 51:46it is. he works today in the dark ghost. She's  like, I really don't give a [ __ ] She's like,
  394. 51:50I just really need you to be here with me and  my dad and this and this and this. And she was
  395. 51:55just kind of upset because I had asked her um the  police say no comment to the media and it happened
  396. 52:01to be like right when her dad died and I think  she was feeling a little like Yeah. But I mean you
  397. 52:07guys can read this. There's nothing in there of  me actually saying anything about it. I just told
  398. 52:12What's your phone number on that phone? 720. It's  the same phone number that's on this one. 6569605.
  399. 52:19So, no, I mean you guys can you guys can listen.  So, between there was a conversation that I asked
  400. 52:25you about between you and Charlotte, too. That's  the same girl. That's the same girl who's freaking
  401. 52:29out. So, was there ever a conversation about kids  with you and Charlotte? Like you I can't remember
  402. 52:36the exact context, but you guys were talking  hanging out with a guy who had kids. Okay. And
  403. 52:42um she has not even like Wait. All right. So, your  conversation about him having kids, how did that
  404. 52:49go? I mean, I don't know. I just told her uh Is  it still Did you delete that or is it still No,
  405. 52:56I don't I have no reason to delete anything else  in my phone. And the reason I deleted all this
  406. 53:00stuff with Chris is because he was making me feel  really uncomfortable and I didn't want to see it
  407. 53:06in my phone anymore. Okay. Um yeah, let me scroll  all the way back here. I'm hearing this girl talk
  408. 53:12a lot. No, she is like So, let's just while  we're here because we talked about this before,
  409. 53:19but we didn't talk about the specific context of  what that message said regarding the children.
  410. 53:24So, obviously in the situation  that we're looking at now with
  411. 53:30uh the death of two children and all the other  circumstantial stuff going around in the case,
  412. 53:36you I just want to make sure there was  no comments ever made by you regarding,
  413. 53:40you know, children or dislike of  children or love children. Either way,
  414. 53:46you you know what I mean? Oh, yeah. I guess let  me find it. Uh, I think this is going to start.
  415. 54:01You guys can just take whatever you want out  of there. So, it it's easier for me to just
  416. 54:08take everything than it is to single it out. Plus  for the purposes of this case, the less exposure,
  417. 54:17you know, we already have uh initially you  drew concern from me when you told me you
  418. 54:24deleted everything from Chris. I've already  told you that. You understand why? There's
  419. 54:30no question as to why that might cause concern.  So, if there's anything else that ever comes up,
  420. 54:34I have it and then we can just discuss it.  Do you understand what I mean? All right.
  421. 54:44It's right here. This is  where it starts. She starts
  422. 54:54right there. She starts talking about her  and her fiance. So, that was like weeks ago.
  423. 55:14and she hasn't brought it up since  really or like connected the dots or
  424. 55:18like said [ __ ] I mean, you guys  can look through all those texts
  425. 55:33and I don't know when that was.  That was definitely when things
  426. 55:36were going good. So, this is like weeks prior,
  427. 55:40I'm assuming. I think the date is at the  top of whenever we started texting that day.
  428. 55:46folks. This is we talk a lot. August 7th. Yeah.  So, I reference everything to Sunday the 12th.
  429. 56:05So, that's the only conversation like that on  there I believe on my phone. I don't think there's
  430. 56:09like anything else. And she even last night  like still wasn't even she's so worried, dude.
  431. 56:46Other than that, there shouldn't really be  anything on with other people, but you guys
  432. 56:51can just pull everything off that porn if  you want. As long as you're okay with that,
  433. 56:54that's would be I mean, if that makes your  life easier. Okay, it's not just about making
  434. 56:58it easier. It's just less. So, if there's any  question, like I told you before, some like the
  435. 57:06two girls you just met did a lot of interviews  in this case. They've done a lot of work. They
  436. 57:09may know things that I don't. There's no way  we can all know everything. So, they might go,
  437. 57:14"Oh, because somebody else is the one who told  me about Charlotte um and this message." So,
  438. 57:19I've never read this. probably why potentially  I'm I'm assuming that that's what that is
  439. 57:27cuz I said his name and I don't even  think she's put two and two together
  440. 57:32because last night it was just like the  way she was talking she wasn't like this
  441. 57:35is him this is it was like I don't know  what's going on I just assume this is it
  442. 57:41cuz this guy worked in Hannah Darko  but she is not even like processing
  443. 57:52What?
  444. 58:04What do you mean by can tell he has a lot to  take care of in life? What did you mean when
  445. 58:09you said that? He has a mortgage and he has  kids. Okay. Responsibilities. I mean, he's a
  446. 58:18Father of the house.
  447. 58:29You're even saying in here he's all about  his kids. Yeah. And she was like asking me
  448. 58:36somewhere in there like I mean everything I  had to say about him at that point was like
  449. 58:42really positive. Like I think I made it clear  that I wasn't like 100% sure this was like the
  450. 58:49man of my dreams and I was going to spend  the rest of my life with him or anything,
  451. 58:53but I was enjoying the time that I  was spending with him at that point.
  452. 59:02You're referencing that he has two  kids and then you don't like that
  453. 59:08um because you want to have that experience  with somebody else. Is that what I just said?
  454. 59:13I wasn't sure if he was the one that I  want to be with cuz he had already like
  455. 59:17done everything. Okay. Like I was like  it would be really nice to kind of like
  456. 59:24have kids and have my own marriage and all of that  stuff. That was never anything I compared to him.
  457. 59:46So, she said, you said he's handsome,  huh? Did you send her a picture? Mhm.
  458. 59:51And that's not attached here. Is that  because what you do you think from what
  459. 59:56you deleted? I think it's from when  I deleted all my photos of his stuff.
  460. 1:00:09He's kind of short.
  461. 1:00:14I mean, I talk to her in a way that I  wouldn't like talk to him. It's like my
  462. 1:00:17girl. You know what I'm saying? I get it. No,  I'm just I'm just teasing you a little bit.
  463. 1:00:57So now you're just talking about shoes and  other stuff. Okay. But then she brought it
  464. 1:01:03up again last night, but she didn't brought  up what case. But she didn't like connect
  465. 1:01:09the dots. She was like freaking out like her  dad just died and she was really upset. She
  466. 1:01:16wanted me to come see her on Saturday because  it's his way. So unexpected kind of sort of.
  467. 1:01:22He had Parkinson's. So kind of but not you know  what I'm saying? It was very drawn out thing. Um
  468. 1:01:30but she's having a really hard time with it. I  knew she would. And she just like she was like
  469. 1:01:34can you be at the wake on Saturday? And I was  like, I'm really hesitant to leave the house.
  470. 1:01:38And I didn't tell her that, but I was like, I  don't know. I'm I'll try and I'm going to go,
  471. 1:01:44but I'm not going to tell her until it's like  right before I have to be there. And she So,
  472. 1:01:48what does she reference? Just Chris the guy. I'm  I'm more interested. No, she didn't even ask me if
  473. 1:01:54she was just like She's like, I don't know what's  going on. She's like, you can see it. you. So,
  474. 1:02:03you mentioned on your text before you were coming  that there was other information that you thought
  475. 1:02:08of that was important again. Yeah. Yeah. When we  get so sidetracked, I'll look at this when you do
  476. 1:02:17that and then I'll show you where it is. Watching  here like I will just say you guys talk a lot. Oh,
  477. 1:02:23yeah. She is like my right here. So, first she  sends me this and she's not even asking me about
  478. 1:02:29him. She's saying he looks like her ex. That's  when she first brings him up. She doesn't even
  479. 1:02:35mention me at that point. I don't even think she  realizes it's the same guy. Like legitimately,
  480. 1:02:43I think this girl is so wrapped up in all the  stuff that she's got going on right now that
  481. 1:02:47I don't think it's even processing. I mean,  you can just tell by the way that she like
  482. 1:02:55talks.
  483. 1:02:59See, she's all upset cuz I asked her to  not talk to the media and it happened to
  484. 1:03:04be the day that her dad died. And  I'm sitting here trying to comfort
  485. 1:03:06her. Is this your best friend? Yes. This  girl is like my whole world. All right.
  486. 1:03:19But you're not talking about children or your  relationship with Chris or anything like that? No.
  487. 1:03:24The only time I ever mentioned him was like that  one day. And I didn't even remember that I even
  488. 1:03:29had like said that to her cuz I just What's her  phone number? Um 720 425 7330. So I'm not going to
  489. 1:03:40call her, but at some point you might want to talk  to her. Just so you know. I mean sooner or later
  490. 1:03:46she's going to connect the dots. Or you're going  to tell her, right? If she's your best friend.
  491. 1:03:50I'm not going to tell her. If she figures it out,  she figures it out. Okay. Um, if we were going to
  492. 1:03:58talk to her, I'd let you know beforehand. Is that  fair? Yeah. Just so I can give her a heads up. And
  493. 1:04:03she apologized to me cuz she was being kind of  crazy last. She was. So, tell me about the new
  494. 1:04:10info that you remember. Okay. Um, see right here.  Hold on. She says, "Look, man. I know you worked
  495. 1:04:19at Anadarko. He did too. I know he murdered his  wife and kids. I know he was a dog. I know you're
  496. 1:04:24my best friend. I know you have a good heart. I  know that you guys that guy needs to go to jail
  497. 1:04:28and he will. I know you don't want publicity  and neither would I. I know that as a witness,
  498. 1:04:33if you say anything, it can cause a mistrial. I  know you don't want that. Neither do I. [ __ ]
  499. 1:04:38the media. I want my best friend here. I never  [ __ ] said anything to her about a trial. Okay,
  500. 1:04:44so see, look, she goes, she goes, I don't even  care if you flirted with him or more. I know you
  501. 1:04:50had nothing to do with what happened and I don't  care if your job is having an open investigation.
  502. 1:04:54I'm not gonna ask you a single question, but my  pops died and you're my best friend. Okay. I said,
  503. 1:04:58"Please stop talking about that." And she said,  "What do you want? House arrest." And she just
  504. 1:05:02keeps saying, "My father died. What the fuck?"  She was not okay last night. And I was just
  505. 1:05:06trying to like understand mitigate this. Um and  I was like trying to calm her down. And I said,
  506. 1:05:13"Charlotte, I'm trying so hard to be the  best friend of Candy right now." I said,
  507. 1:05:16"I want to talk to you about that case." I  didn't say that case. I said that case like
  508. 1:05:20I wasn't even affiliated with it at all and you  need to respect that. I'm here for you regarding
  509. 1:05:24your dad. You know this. And then she's but  freaking out and freaking out. You guys never
  510. 1:05:32had a conversation except for this past text  messages about Chris and his children. No,
  511. 1:05:36that was it. Okay. That was it. That's fine.  I mean cuz he wasn't really something that I
  512. 1:05:40like super wanted everybody to know about. And I  shouldn't have even mentioned it when she brought
  513. 1:05:44up what she had like going on sexually with her  fiance and it it happened. But at that point,
  514. 1:05:50you guys are best friends. It's understandable.  Yeah. See, and she keeps trying to talk about
  515. 1:05:54it. She says, "If you're not under investigation  by the police, I don't care. Why can't you attend
  516. 1:06:01your so-called best friend's father's death? It  doesn't make sense to me." And all I told her was
  517. 1:06:05stop. And she Yeah. and she just is like freaking  out and finally I just told her, you know,
  518. 1:06:14getting mad at me isn't going to bring your dad  back. And that when she chilled, okay, while she
  519. 1:06:20kind of went on another rant, but I had nothing to  do with Chris. And then she apologized to me this
  520. 1:06:25morning for being drunk and sad and angry that her  dad died. What other new information? Okay. Um,
  521. 1:06:34see, we got so much going on. I didn't even I  texted it myself because I can't prove this.
  522. 1:06:41You you make sure before you leave you see  Hazel. You need to get some help. I know.
  523. 1:06:47I've been asking. Um Oh, so he he was talking  for a few weeks like he give me a time. Okay.
  524. 1:06:58Okay. So he went to North Carolina. When we came  back from North Carolina, I was informed sometime
  525. 1:07:06either when he was on the trip or when he was  like getting back but in that area that they
  526. 1:07:12filed for divorce and that um they were going to  put the house up and he for sale and he was like
  527. 1:07:21she's the one that called the realtor cuz he  told me that he had spoke to her when he was
  528. 1:07:27in North Carolina about it and then the next  day she was the one who called the realtor.
  529. 1:07:31You say she Shannan. Yes. And when you say the  time frame they came back from North Carolina,
  530. 1:07:38you don't remember the specific dates, but was  like the first or second week of August. Yeah,
  531. 1:07:43I I think I told you guys when they left. I think  he left on Tuesday the 31st of July. I do remember
  532. 1:07:52you saying that. And I don't remember when he came  home. I really don't. I don't remember if it was
  533. 1:08:00like So, is this a phone conversation or is this  a text conversation? No. Um, this happened over
  534. 1:08:06the phone and he told me that um that was when  I had said, "Hey, when you go to North Carolina,
  535. 1:08:17I really think you should try to fix things with  your wife." And he kept asking, "Well, what about
  536. 1:08:21us?" And I was trying to kind of take a step back  and see if he would fix things before attempting
  537. 1:08:27to pursue things with me because I wanted to know  that if all of these things he's saying like yes,
  538. 1:08:35we're getting separated and yes, you know, all  of these things that he's saying are happening
  539. 1:08:40are happening. I wanted to know that it was like  you were doing this like you said you were prior
  540. 1:08:48to me coming in your life and it had nothing  to do with me, you know. And so for me it was
  541. 1:08:54like I just I really wanted them to fix it.  I would have just like left the situation. So
  542. 1:09:02tell me why him Shenan calling a realtor and him  mentioning that they were going to be divorced.
  543. 1:09:09Why why do you think it's important? Um because  so after that he was like she's the one who called
  544. 1:09:15the realtor and I remember I was like damn that  was fast cuz I knew he told me like we were going
  545. 1:09:20to put the house up but they said he was like  we didn't know how much to offer for it and we
  546. 1:09:25were kind of trying to find somebody and it like  so for the first few weeks that I hung out with
  547. 1:09:29him he kind of like dragged his feet on hey this  is happening and then after North Carolina he's
  548. 1:09:35like yeah she wants to put the house up. she's on  the call the realtor and I was like kind of taken
  549. 1:09:39back not necessarily at the speed of it given how  long he said that they'd been separating but the
  550. 1:09:44fact that it she did it like the day after he  supposedly sat down and had a conversation with
  551. 1:09:50her about hey do we fix this or do we not fix this  relationship so do you remember how many days she
  552. 1:09:57was back in Colorado before leaving do you know  that cuz I don't remember when they got home right
  553. 1:10:04I don't I'm just trying to get your memory jog  there on that. But so this was they get home. He
  554. 1:10:10had told you in North Carolina that they agreed to  end their finalized their relationship. Yeah. It's
  555. 1:10:17they get home and she immediately wants to sell  the house. Yes. And then um so I mean I started
  556. 1:10:24thinking, okay, well I know in Colorado houses  sell very fast here. So I was like, what's your
  557. 1:10:30plan? You know, and I was like, cuz you might  want to be prepared. And I remember that's when
  558. 1:10:36the whole concept came up of you probably need to  start looking for a new place pretty quick. And
  559. 1:10:44that was when he was kind of overwhelmed with it.  And I told him I was like look like I just moved
  560. 1:10:48a few months ago. Um and uh I was like to find  a place that was comfortable for me. I was like
  561. 1:10:55it took like a lot of research and I that's  when I offered to help. I was like I'll help
  562. 1:11:03you. and he seemed pretty gung-ho about it for  like the first week and he seemed very grateful
  563. 1:11:10and I was putting in work on it and I was like  calling him and kind of letting him know about
  564. 1:11:15places and there really wasn't that many options  in Brighton. Um I found one I actually texted it
  565. 1:11:21to myself before I texted it to him because I  was going I still have that in my phone too.
  566. 1:11:26Um cuz I found it and it was great but it was like  right at the beginning of my search and I was like
  567. 1:11:33I don't want to inundate him. So you said a week.  Do you think you worked on that for a week? No. I
  568. 1:11:38honestly I only probably spent like a few hours  over a few days and just trying to like line it
  569. 1:11:43up. Just trying to think about how many days she  had been back while you were working on that. Do
  570. 1:11:48you know what I'm saying? Oh. So you said did you  actually work on it for a week straight? No. No.
  571. 1:11:53No. It was just like a couple days after work.  I would just like spend a couple hours if I had
  572. 1:11:59time like at the end of my day or if I didn't  go to the gym and just sit down. And I mean I
  573. 1:12:04can give you a date on one that I worked on cuz  I texted that one to myself. This one I love this
  574. 1:12:09one. Um when is this? Saturday, August 11th.  That's the night you guys went out. Uh yeah.
  575. 1:12:20To uh the lazy dog. Yes. or the two the two lazy  dogs. Yes, two lazy dogs. All right. What else?
  576. 1:12:28Um, yeah. So, the reason that this was important  is because he like up to that point seemed like he
  577. 1:12:40was all about it, you know, and I was respecting  him. I wasn't like, "Oh, you need to get this,
  578. 1:12:44you need to get that." I was like, "What city  do you want to live in? What side of town is she
  579. 1:12:48staying in? You know, how close do you want to be  to work? how close do you want to be to your kids?
  580. 1:12:53I mean, I asked him everything. I just wanted  him to have something that was accommodating
  581. 1:12:58for his whole family. And he told me that she was  probably gonna stay in the Frederick area, but he
  582. 1:13:02never said for sure. The first time I asked him,  he's like, "I don't know where she's going to go,
  583. 1:13:07but she'll probably stay in this area." And I was  like, "Chris, if you're going to get an apartment,
  584. 1:13:11like, you need to figure that out because the  last thing you want is to be like an hour drive
  585. 1:13:16from your kids." I was like, you know, you you got  to be close. And so, um, ended up asking him again
  586. 1:13:25like a couple days later. And that was when,  um, he was like, I think she's staying in the
  587. 1:13:30Frederick area. And I was like, okay. And that's  when I was like started to get details like where,
  588. 1:13:35and if you guys find my text, you'll see it where  I'm asking like, where do you want to live? Like,
  589. 1:13:40how close do you want to be to work? Those  things like, you know, um, did do you care
  590. 1:13:46what gym you go to? like what are you looking for?  You know, we talked about this previously. Yeah.
  591. 1:13:50Yeah. Yeah. So, the thing was is he was like super  gung-haul about it. And then on Saturday that day,
  592. 1:13:57um I remember being outside with him when this  conversation happened, but I don't know where.
  593. 1:14:03I don't know if we were like walking into the  restaurant or walking to the car, but I like
  594. 1:14:08vaguely remember being outside with him. And I  was like, he had told me that he wanted to go
  595. 1:14:15look at some places that upcoming week and we were  supposed to go do that on Wednesday. And I was
  596. 1:14:22like, um, I asked him, I was like, um, what places  do you want to go see? And I was like, did you
  597. 1:14:29really like that place that I showed you? Cuz it  was just like super convenient for everything and
  598. 1:14:33it had a little playground and it had a pool. Like  it would have been awesome for his kids and it
  599. 1:14:38was cheap. And um and so and it was like close to  Frederick. It was like it was it was close to the
  600. 1:14:46gym. It was close to work. It was close to me. It  was close to everything. And it was in Brighton,
  601. 1:14:50which is what he wanted. And so, um I was like,  "Did you want to go check that place out?" And
  602. 1:14:56he's like, "Yeah, yes." And he like didn't seem  sure anymore. And that was the part that I wanted
  603. 1:15:01to tell you. I just figured I'd give you all the  backstory. Sure. Um so, so he's not sure about the
  604. 1:15:06particular apartment or about even leaving. So,  he told me that he like he looked at it and he
  605. 1:15:14told me that he thought it was nice, but he didn't  really seem like his interest was that peaked. And
  606. 1:15:19I was like, "Well, did you find anything that you  really wanted to look at?" And he told me, yeah,
  607. 1:15:25that he'd found a few, but nothing that really  really piqu his interest. And I was like, "Well,
  608. 1:15:32you might want to get started." And he's like,  "Well, I I I found one." And I asked him, I said,
  609. 1:15:36"Which one is it?" because I think I've looked at  like every apartment in Brighton and maybe I'll
  610. 1:15:41remember it. And he's like, I don't know. I don't  remember the name of it. And he kind of just like
  611. 1:15:48disregarded it. And it was kind of strange to me  because like the whole week prior he was like so
  612. 1:15:54excited that I was trying to help him because  he's busy. I'm busy. So I was like, "You look,
  613. 1:16:00I'll look. let's see if we can try to narrow it  down to like four or five spots and then we'll
  614. 1:16:06find something that's good for you and your  girls, you know, and and he seemed like very
  615. 1:16:10enthusiastic about it like during the week when  the conversations first really started ramping up
  616. 1:16:17about like you probably got to figure something  out because that house is going to sell really
  617. 1:16:23fast, you know, or at least be prepared.  And so, so why do you think he was removed
  618. 1:16:28or not interested um on your Saturday night  wherever you guys were? I don't know. I mean,
  619. 1:16:34sometimes like I think about these things  and I feel like they're all assumptions,
  620. 1:16:37but at that point like maybe he already knew  something that I didn't. I don't know. But
  621. 1:16:44it was just a complete mood change where he just  didn't even seem that interested. And I was like,
  622. 1:16:50"Okay." And I was like, "Well, we don't have to do  that on Wednesday if you don't want to." And he's
  623. 1:16:55like, "No, no, I know I need to get it done."  And I was like, "All right." Okay. You know,
  624. 1:17:01cuz I wasn't going to like force him  to do it. If he doesn't want to do it,
  625. 1:17:05don't do it. Just say no. You know, and I was  like, and for me, it was like I was just offering
  626. 1:17:08to help because it's like I know what a tedious  task it is trying to find a new place to live. Um,
  627. 1:17:15what else? Any other new info? um that part where  he was just like really unplugged on Saturday and
  628. 1:17:22then there was something else that went with  that. Let me just think for a minute. It was um
  629. 1:17:30I didn't write all this down.  I just wrote that part down.
  630. 1:17:44I can't believe I can't remember all this stuff.  Yeah, you remember so much stuff already. Slowly
  631. 1:17:50comes to me all the time. Well, some of this  stuff is just things that you would never think
  632. 1:17:55about. And now that I'm like hindsight's 2020, I'm  like starting to go back. There was something else
  633. 1:18:00that happened on Saturday that had to do with  all of this. Think about it for a minute. I'm
  634. 1:18:05going to see if uh my tech guy has his equipment  charged and we'll get your phone taken care of.
  635. 1:18:11Okay. So again, I'm going to have you sign  this uh voluntary consent. Y it's the same
  636. 1:18:17thing that you signed in Thornton saying that,  you know, I didn't threaten you, intimidate you,
  637. 1:18:23you have a right to say no. I want you to read the  document again. We're going to take your phone,
  638. 1:18:27we're going to use um a program called  Celebrite. If you go to your phone store,
  639. 1:18:33that's what they use sometimes. They used to  do this. They used to move your stuff back and
  640. 1:18:37forth. It's the same thing. They're going to  take that information and then um an examiner
  641. 1:18:43who is skilled in looking at cell phone data  is going to look at it to try to recover the
  642. 1:18:48deleted material that we're after. I hope that  they can get the deleted material is what I'm
  643. 1:18:52after obviously. I know it is. I feel so bad  that I did that. I didn't even honestly like
  644. 1:18:57that's not even what I was thinking about. I was  just so did not want like any presence from him.
  645. 1:19:05So you're okay with like Take the whole phone.  Just take it cuz I feel like we've been trying.
  646. 1:19:13I'm going to put all data on here just for ease.  Okay. You need So read that and make sure you sign
  647. 1:19:20it that you understand that's we're going to  take all the data. Once I have all that stuff,
  648. 1:19:24I'll get your phone back to you. That's okay. I  mean, I'm not even going to use this anymore. I'm
  649. 1:19:28going to just use this. Okay. I'm going to still  get it back to you as soon as we're done. Okay.
  650. 1:19:31All right. So, next week sometime maybe. Okay.  Or the week after or something like somewhere
  651. 1:19:36in that time frame. Okay. Okay. All right.  Relax for a minute. I'll be back in a sec.
  652. 1:20:03I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it.
  653. 1:20:13I remember, by the way, I got it. Remember what in  my head what I needed to tell you. Okay. Okay. So,
  654. 1:20:20hi. Hi. I'm Matt. I'm Nikki. Nice to meet you.  Hello. Um, so this is my original phone, okay,
  655. 1:20:27that these guys would like to have. I have a lot  of contacts on here that are not on the phone
  656. 1:20:31that I'm currently transferring to. Like a lot of  them. I need some of them, right? Um, it would be
  657. 1:20:37greatly appreciated if we could get the contacts  from this phone to just go to this phone so that
  658. 1:20:42all the text messages and everything have like  names and things to them so that I can that's
  659. 1:20:47all I want to do. And I went to Verizon to switch  it to this phone and all they did was give me this
  660. 1:20:53little sheet of paper to follow, which seems very  simple and I'm usually pretty techsavvy except for
  661. 1:20:58the fact that I can't get the app store to work  on this phone and I can't get the Wi-Fi to work on
  662. 1:21:02this phone. Okay, so that is the dilemma that I'm  in. But if you would be so kind is to just think
  663. 1:21:09that up then I can give them what they need and um  I am not good on phone things. I'm usually pretty
  664. 1:21:15techsavvy after working in the oil field. You got  to get creative about this. It's in technology,
  665. 1:21:20but you're like in the sticks, so everything wants  to malfunction. So are your contacts on this phone
  666. 1:21:27sync to the cloud to iCloud? I don't know. Okay.  I mean, some messages came over, so I assume that
  667. 1:21:35everything is, but I don't really know. Maybe  I'm not as I thought. What'd you remember? You
  668. 1:21:46just said you remember something. Besides that,  you Oh, you have conversation right now. He's an
  669. 1:21:52agent. He works with me. He's He knows about this.  I can step out if you feel more confident. Oh,
  670. 1:21:58no. I mean, what about whatever? You tell me. He  had a fire stick. He kept talking about, "You know
  671. 1:22:05what a fire stick is?" Okay. You probably do since  you're a tech guy. They're like, "Oh, you mean
  672. 1:22:10like an Amazon fire stick?" Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.  Okay. So, he didn't have it in his possession,
  673. 1:22:14but I know Chris. Yes. So Chris mentioned  to me that on Saturday, that same day, um
  674. 1:22:24that Oh, cuz this kind of went handinhand with  the whole like apartment talk cuz I was like,
  675. 1:22:34"Oh, that apartment that he said he found that  he was like I was like, "What's it called?" And
  676. 1:22:40he's like, "I don't remember." And I was like,  "Well, how much is it?" He's like, "It's close
  677. 1:22:44to 1,100." And I was really taken back by that  cuz I pay more than that and I don't really have
  678. 1:22:50that nice of a place and it's not a two-bedroom,  it's a one. So that part kind of seemed odd to me,
  679. 1:22:56but I'd seen a few things online that were kind  of cheap and I was just like, "All right." And
  680. 1:23:00he's like, "I'm just trying to cut costs."  And I was like, "That's cool." I was like,
  681. 1:23:04"How else are you doing that?" And it was just out  of curiosity. And he's like, "Well, I decided to
  682. 1:23:09get rid of cable." And I was like, "Okay." And I  was kind of taken back by that too cuz he loves
  683. 1:23:16sports. Dude like lives and breathes football. So  I uh I was like okay. And I was like that's a good
  684. 1:23:26cost to you know to cut back on. And he was like  yeah I think I can watch still stream sports via a
  685. 1:23:35Fire Stick. And I've heard of those things before.  I don't really know a lot about them. Um, but
  686. 1:23:42he was saying that he had a buddy working on it  already for him. Who's the buddy? He didn't say.
  687. 1:23:49I didn't ask. Why do you think that's important?  That he had all that set up. I don't know. I mean,
  688. 1:23:57it made me believe that that he was ready to move  out. Is that Oh, I get what you're saying. Yeah.
  689. 1:24:03Like he was prepping. It still sounded like he  was prepping. I mean, everything he did sounded
  690. 1:24:08like he was getting ready for everything to  happen. The only thing that I found really
  691. 1:24:12peculiar about the whole situation was the fact  that he just kind of seemed disconnected about the
  692. 1:24:17apartment thing on Saturday, whereas in previous  conversations, he was the one who brought it up
  693. 1:24:25and he was the one who seemed really excited  about it when I offered to help him do some
  694. 1:24:29like leg work on trying to find him a spot for  him and his girls. Right. I'll be right back.
  695. 1:24:36Okay. So, I don't I don't know who his friend was.  It was just weird cuz sometimes it seemed like
  696. 1:24:43some of the things he said he was still really  a lot of things he said made sense. It still to
  697. 1:24:50this day make sense and then other things that he  said don't make sense at all to me anymore or like
  698. 1:24:56they changed, you know? Well, you know a lot more  now. Well, unfortunately, you know a lot more more
  699. 1:25:03now about terrible things that may have happened  that changed the way you're thinking about what he
  700. 1:25:08said, too. So, making you think differently  about those kind of that verbiage, right?
  701. 1:25:23Definitely. Okay. So, I think we we've talked a  lot about a lot of different things. I hope I'm
  702. 1:25:32helping you guys. You certainly are. I hope so,  cuz I'm so I don't like having this stuff on the
  703. 1:25:38top of my head. It's so hard in so many days.  I can tell that my mind is trying to like block
  704. 1:25:46it all out right now. And I think it's almost  like a subliminal like coping mechanism. And
  705. 1:25:50I'm trying not to. I'm trying to like think about  it so that I can help you guys. And I just that's
  706. 1:25:55why I Why don't you give yourself a break for  a day or two and just live a normal life? Stop
  707. 1:26:02thinking about this stuff for a day or two and  then revisit it. Maybe that'll help you because
  708. 1:26:07you look like you're tired again. I lost my job  yesterday. So that's where that comes from. You
  709. 1:26:14lost your job with the geocciences place as  well. Okay. Sorry to hear that. That's what it
  710. 1:26:20is. With I think you mentioned with your skill set  though, you should be easily employable in another
  711. 1:26:28uh local. I don't know. I don't know. I hope  somebody hires me. I hope people don't see my
  712. 1:26:34name on a resume and just not hire me. Well,  your name hasn't even made it in the papers
  713. 1:26:41yet. Not yet. So, remember you said that you had  some locations you could go out of state maybe.
  714. 1:26:49Yeah. I don't know if that's what you're thinking  or whatever is going to work for you. Yeah,
  715. 1:26:56I'm I'm thinking a lot about all of that. It's  just a matter of timing and trying to figure
  716. 1:27:01out when to do it. Hesitant to do it all too soon  and then have to do it all over again. Tell me the
  717. 1:27:07name of the geocciences company I Tasmin. Tasmin.  That's right. I think I was just so bummed because
  718. 1:27:15they told me that they would keep me and then they  called me back and let me go and I was just like,
  719. 1:27:20man. So, did they essentially fire you for a lack  of better term and that was yesterday? Yeah. They
  720. 1:27:32said they let me go because they hired me to do  a contract job and now that contract was over.
  721. 1:27:39It was unfortunate cuz Vanna Barco actually  offered to pay me for a while and said no. So
  722. 1:27:47I just wish they would have been honest with me  in the first place, but it is what it is. So now
  723. 1:27:52you're out looking for a job, too. I haven't even  started doing that. It's not even like a priority
  724. 1:27:58to me at this point, but it will get dealt with.  So yeah, so I need Hazel to help me out with his
  725. 1:28:03lease and sell my truck and change my entire life  and hopefully somebody somewhere will give me a
  726. 1:28:11decent job and give me a chance and not judge for  all of this whole disaster. So that's why it's You
  727. 1:28:21said Hazel was going to was helping you out with  some of your lease stuff. All right. So, yeah,
  728. 1:28:27when we're here, I think she usually comes in in  the afternoon today, so we'll check with her. Hey,
  729. 1:28:33I think Matt just went the other way looking for  me, but he'll come back eventually. Awesome. So,
  730. 1:28:39he must want this for something. Probably  charge my phone. I didn't charge this one.
  731. 1:28:46This one? Yeah. Here. What's this? Oh, this  is your this is the Verizon callox. June
  732. 1:28:56the 13th. From what date to what date? You  want this one back? It's a month. Sorry. No,
  733. 1:29:00you're good. I don't know. It's a month. So, it's  probably whatever 30 days was. Probably July 14th,
  734. 1:29:08I'd assume. So, August 13. You'll see it  when you open it up. You'll see it. But,
  735. 1:29:12it's a month. So, my Can I just take this real  quick and and move it off your thumb drive? I'll
  736. 1:29:18give you your thumb drive. You can do whatever you  want. That's yours. Um, you don't need this back.
  737. 1:29:29Um, no. I mean, you can give it back if you want.  Yeah, I'll just go download this to my computer
  738. 1:29:34real quick. There's So, I think So, it's a month.  It ends on the 13th. And that's why I was saying
  739. 1:29:40when they bill me next month, then I can give  you the 14th and pass that. And I could have
  740. 1:29:46given you the 14th now, but because they haven't  build me for it, like this is in a nice PDF,
  741. 1:29:53but the the the on build one is like in this janky  Excel format, and you could like manipulate the
  742. 1:30:00data. You could I don't I don't want What is on  here specifically? PDF of your complete phone bill
  743. 1:30:06for your cell phone. That ends on August 13th.  Everything after that, you got to go put this
  744. 1:30:10on my phone or computer. My lease agreement is on  there. And I told Hazel that you had it. Okay. So,
  745. 1:30:18I'll call Sher because she needs that. And then  um my there's also like a computer record of me
  746. 1:30:28talking to the Verizon wireless people asking  them if they can restore my text and what they
  747. 1:30:34had to say about it just so that you guys know  that I did the due diligence to attempt to do
  748. 1:30:38that. Um so those are the three things that are  on there. So there the messages that synced up
  749. 1:30:45when you started are on this phone, right? So  when she's started, this phone's like 2 years
  750. 1:30:50old. Okay. But when she turned it on, a bunch  of deleted messages from Chris that were on that
  751. 1:30:55phone synced up with that phone. Okay. So that's  the one I want to try to rip. Okay. So we're going
  752. 1:30:59to download this phone. This one's coming. Yep.  Exactly. So this one's going to be coming with us
  753. 1:31:05as evidence. That one was just ripped. So she has  a phone. Okay. I need you to log into Google. I'm
  754. 1:31:10just trying to figure this out. I don't know if  Oh, okay. That might be an issue. I know. I mean,
  755. 1:31:18if you guys really can't do it, I'm trying to go  through figure out who is there's another way we
  756. 1:31:23can do it or we can try. Okay, man. I'm usually  really good about passwords, but this one I'm not.
  757. 1:31:45I don't know. I really don't. I was messing with  this before you walked in here. Okay. And that's
  758. 1:31:53the only way you can download apps, right?  Was through this? Yeah. I mean, I'll have to
  759. 1:31:58figure I'm not I'm not an Android guy, so I don't  know. I don't know. I never I haven't used Android
  760. 1:32:03phone in like 2 years. Okay. I guess I'll have to  figure this out. That sucks. But it's okay. Well,
  761. 1:32:09there's another there's another thing that we can  try. Sorry for the inconvenience. Did you have a
  762. 1:32:15text message on? So, when I looked up to I mean  Wi-Fi I think you got a couple more extra. Oh,
  763. 1:32:22I got these. Yeah, this came in on my other  phone. This was like right when I transferred.
  764. 1:32:32Um, so I think your contacts should be
  765. 1:32:38um connected to iCloud now. So shouldn't lose them
  766. 1:32:50and we can use we can try and use our down the  machine that we use to download the phones can
  767. 1:32:55also transfer. I've never done that so I don't  know how it's going to work but we're going to
  768. 1:33:00give it a shot. Okay. I just that would be so  nice cuz I was looking at these messages and I
  769. 1:33:04was like, "Oh my god." Like, "Don't know. Don't  know. Don't know. Don't know. Don't know. Don't
  770. 1:33:09know." I mean, again, I'm sure I could figure  it out pretty quick if I read the text. Look at
  771. 1:33:12all them. Yeah. They're all different. Okay.  And so, you would just save me a lot of time
  772. 1:33:20and stress. Okay. And then we're keeping this  one. Yes. Downloading it and giving it back.
  773. 1:33:25Yeah. And then this one I think he only needs  one number off of. And that one you guys are
  774. 1:33:28picking everything. Okay. But we're keeping  this phone, right? Yeah. That's yours. Okay.
  775. 1:33:37All right. Let me go see if I can  transfer the contacts. You want the
  776. 1:33:40wall charger that goes up? Um, I'll  just put it here so I don't forget,
  777. 1:33:43but I don't need it right now. I will  be right back or in a little bit.
  778. 1:35:04I don't know what this is.
  779. 1:39:43Vicki. Hello. How are you doing? I'm all right.  I like your little blouse. It's adorable. Thank
  780. 1:39:51you. Thank you. So, let's take much time. I just  want to say hello. How you doing? All right.
  781. 1:40:03I don't believe you. I'm going to step I'm going  to step out. Okay. You I have that now. I have the
  782. 1:40:10lease. I'll give it to Hazel. Okay. Um did he get  your phones taken care of? I don't know. He took
  783. 1:40:17them both. He was going to try. I'll step out  for a few minutes. Give you guys a few seconds.
  784. 1:40:22All right. If you remember anything else,  we'll talk before you leave. All right. Um,
  785. 1:40:30Hazel said she knew that you had been fired,  so um, maybe get some advice on that, too,
  786. 1:40:36about potentially leaving here and starting  starting a new somewhere else. Probably is
  787. 1:40:42a good good thing, right? I'll be  back in a few. Okay. Thank you.
  788. 1:40:49So and Darkco finally to be at the company as  well. Yeah. Well, Anadarko just terminated my
  789. 1:40:57contract. I mean, I I don't blame them. That's  just not a good place to be. But they offered
  790. 1:41:03they were concerned and they offered to pay  for like a few weeks. Well, that's that is
  791. 1:41:11pretty generous. It was very generous.  And Tasman cut it off. They're just like,
  792. 1:41:15"We don't want to build a contractor if you're  not actually working." It's like I respect that,
  793. 1:41:21you know. I just I don't know. I think uh it's  kind of disappointing cuz they told me, you know,
  794. 1:41:29I informed them of the situation and then they  contacted me like a day later and they said,
  795. 1:41:35"Oh, you're good. Don't worry about it." And  they contacted me the day after and pretty
  796. 1:41:41much just let me go. want to just be honest.  They'd be giving you another another job or
  797. 1:41:48another appointment. They would have had to have  and I kind of had a solution for that situation,
  798. 1:41:54too, but they didn't seem like they were all about  it. So, I mean, it is what it is. I've only been
  799. 1:42:01working with them for like 4 months. They don't  really know me that well. That's Tasman. And so
  800. 1:42:07are they are they saying that your contract with  them is also terminated or that you just aren't
  801. 1:42:14working in a darko anymore and they'll find you  another position? They told me originally that if
  802. 1:42:20I wasn't going to work in Anadarko, they'd find  another place to put me and then they came back
  803. 1:42:24yesterday night and said since you're not we hired  you for the contract with Anadarko and since your
  804. 1:42:31contract with them was terminated, we're letting  you go. Okay. Did you call the person whose name
  805. 1:42:38that gave you it? No. I've spent all day trying  to do stuff with these guys, so I haven't had a
  806. 1:42:43chance. I think it might be helpful just to talk  to him and see what he has to say about it and see
  807. 1:42:50if there's any, you know, he'll probably ask you  what your contract with him was and ask you for
  808. 1:42:56some more details and see if there's any way  that legally he can help you out or if he can
  809. 1:43:02create some sort of mediation or something like  that. or at the very least negotiate a positive
  810. 1:43:08um referral to another agency or something.  I mean, they told me they'd give me that. He
  811. 1:43:13seemed really taken back when I asked him, but  I was like, "Can you at least give me a positive
  812. 1:43:17referral?" I mean, I did great work for those  guys. They're definitely going to miss me being
  813. 1:43:21on their team for sure. And he was like, "Yeah,  yeah, I'll do this." Okay. Man, I didn't really
  814. 1:43:30know what else to do. I just this is like one one  more thing on my plate right now. I'm just I don't
  815. 1:43:37know what to do. I don't think anybody's going  to hire me. Well, I think that right now what
  816. 1:43:44you need to worry about it sounds like you have  really good supportive family and people that
  817. 1:43:49are going to help you get through for a few weeks  while you're looking for work. So I think right
  818. 1:43:54now we need to just concentrate on getting your  lease situation worked out so that you don't have
  819. 1:43:59to worry about carrying two places and getting  everything worked out with victim comp so you can
  820. 1:44:06get started into some therapy. Yeah. I still just  thought they were going to hire me like since my
  821. 1:44:12name's in the media like why would you do that?  Well, it hasn't been yet. And it doesn't mean
  822. 1:44:20businesses won't necessarily the hiring agents  won't necessarily have watched the news or known
  823. 1:44:25to those things. And if they do, I think you can  just explain to them that you're doing everything
  824. 1:44:29you can to cooperate with law enforcement. You'll  do what you can to have it not impact your job.
  825. 1:44:35And you know your work at your work at both  incomplete you were prior to that is a good
  826. 1:44:42testament to what a good worker you are that  through all this you kept going to work. You kept
  827. 1:44:47doing your job. You were responsible towards your  agency. You informed them about what was going
  828. 1:44:52on. You did everything you needed to do. Still  don't think people are going to hire me. I have
  829. 1:44:58a feeling that trying to get by for the next like  five or 10 years is about to be a big problem.
  830. 1:45:05Okay. Well, I think that thinking that way  is going to be a little self-defeating. So,
  831. 1:45:12let's try to take care of what we can take care  of and try to build things up for you so that you
  832. 1:45:17have the most positive prospects for the future.  So, I mean, I just don't even know where to start.
  833. 1:45:24Like I have friends that can give me a referral.  But what I don't want to do is have my friends
  834. 1:45:28give me a referral and then they see the news and  then they are very taken back and I think some
  835. 1:45:35people would be kind of upset if I asked them for  a referral prior to the news breaking. You almost
  836. 1:45:42feel like waiting till it breaks to like try to  approach people. Well, I tried thinking about like
  837. 1:45:48a temporary agency or some place, you know, like  Kelly Girls. I mean, I know they don't pay well,
  838. 1:45:53but something like that. I know it's probably well  well below your skill level. I don't know. I'll
  839. 1:46:01probably go back to the oil field at some point.  Most of those people are much societal outcast,
  840. 1:46:08so it might work. Were you happy there? Huh? Were  you happy when you worked there? Sometimes. Yeah.
  841. 1:46:15Sometimes not. But it wouldn't be torture to  go back to that. No, it's all I know. Well,
  842. 1:46:23it's not like that fall back at least until  all this gets resolved a little bit. I mean,
  843. 1:46:27if people hire me, it's hard to get a job out  there and that's cuz I'm a woman. Yeah, I don't
  844. 1:46:34think you can do it. Well, you have a history  that shows otherwise and that goes a long way.
  845. 1:46:52So, I understand that I um Hent Quebec has given  has a copy of your lease. So, I'll talk with your
  846. 1:46:58landlord and see where we can get um as far as  getting you out of that. And then I have a list
  847. 1:47:06of finally I have a list of referrals for you  for therapists. Thank you. Did they approve it?
  848. 1:47:13They haven't yet, but they said they should by the  end of the day or early tomorrow. They just have
  849. 1:47:18to go through a procedure. You know, it's it's  the government. Everything has a procedure. So,
  850. 1:47:24just going through the procedure, but you could  get started in the meantime calling the therapists
  851. 1:47:30and just doing little interviews with them. You  know, like we talked about, just making sure that
  852. 1:47:35it's somebody that you feel confident with and  that you feel comfortable you can say anything to.
  853. 1:47:43And then I would also ask them just because  I know you have hard time sleeping and I
  854. 1:47:47know that this bothers you all the time that  you could wake up in the middle of the night
  855. 1:47:54having some issues. You want to also talk to  therapist about what kind of after hours of
  856. 1:47:58support you could get. You know, do they  have a an emergency line or somebody that
  857. 1:48:03you can talk to if it is 4:00 in the morning  and you haven't been able to sleep all night?
  858. 1:48:13And if you need some help making those phone  calls, Bobby Joe and I can help you. Thank you.
  859. 1:48:22Okay.
  860. 1:48:26Doing anything you need to do every day. There's  nothing else to do. I know you're feeling pretty
  861. 1:48:30overwhelmed and it just seems like it's piling  up. Yeah. and you know that we are here for you.
  862. 1:48:40So you do have support. Yeah. The media came  into my house, left a letter like old crinkly
  863. 1:48:50envelope and a piece of journal paper that was  all crumpled handwritten and chicken scratch
  864. 1:48:56like oh I went to today's show you should call me.  It's like why would I do that in the first place?
  865. 1:49:04But even then, like the lack of professionalism  that my family is seeing from these news
  866. 1:49:09reporters is absolutely ridiculous. And  you're just ignoring them. Yeah. I mean,
  867. 1:49:15they don't have my phone number yet. They still  haven't found it. Well, that's good. And you're
  868. 1:49:19not at your home. No. And your dad's pretty  good about saying no and walking away. So,
  869. 1:49:25they're contacting everybody. I've had so many  people reach out to me. Media called me today.
  870. 1:49:34And you know, all they have to say is that they  don't know anything about it and they don't have
  871. 1:49:38any comment. I don't want to talk to you or  whatever. No comment or you don't know. And
  872. 1:49:44I was like, you don't have to talk to them. It's  like you don't have to call them back. You don't
  873. 1:49:48owe them anything. Like just send me love and  support. I haven't said anything else. I don't
  874. 1:49:54really know what else to say. No, that's good. But  I had to do it with a lot of people and it wasn't
  875. 1:49:58something I wanted to do. I was trying to avoid  that situation, but I've just been like inundated
  876. 1:50:03with phone calls and texts about it. So, I was  like, "All right, talked to my dad and I was like,
  877. 1:50:08"Do we do damage control on the rest of these  people so that they're prepared or not?" And
  878. 1:50:13he was just like, "Yeah, we'll do it." So,  I just called like my closest friends and
  879. 1:50:18I didn't say anything about the case or that I  was a witness. I just told him. It's like, "Hey,
  880. 1:50:23man. I need you to do this for me." Like,  me asking questions. Just tell no comment.
  881. 1:50:30Please take all the pictures that you have of  us off of social media. I love you and I'm safe.
  882. 1:50:37And I didn't break any laws. That's good.  Well, cuz they start freaking out. What did
  883. 1:50:42you do? And I'm like, no, it's okay. You just  help me, please. So, yeah, I'm so far. Well,
  884. 1:50:50we talked about that. How do you believe that your  friends and your family would at least for a while
  885. 1:50:55be supportive not knowing anything just knowing  that you needed their their love and support? I
  886. 1:50:59mean it's been 4 days that they've been searching  for me and they haven't found me yet. I'm sure
  887. 1:51:05they will eventually but I think 4 days is it's  not a bad start. I think you're right. And and
  888. 1:51:12they still haven't found my phone number. And you  do have a plan. Do you know you have the plan to
  889. 1:51:16just say no to hang up? Don't answer the door.  Don't answer the phone. You'll have caller ID
  890. 1:51:23so you know if it's your family or your friends  and you have a voicemail that you can they can
  891. 1:51:28leave a message and just say what they want if  it's family. Everybody else you can just ignore.
  892. 1:51:34You don't have any obligation to talk to any of  them. Right. That's pretty much where I was at.
  893. 1:51:46It's just like one task at a time every day. So,  but here and they got my phone. So, hopefully they
  894. 1:51:55can get what they need and good. Hopefully, it'll  help. I'm just trying to do everything I can,
  895. 1:52:01but at this point it's like I don't even know what  to do anymore. I like really want to just start
  896. 1:52:06taking care of myself and not everybody else  and feel like it's just not happening. Well,
  897. 1:52:12I think is that all you do have to do  right now is take care of yourself?
  898. 1:52:16There's really no one else that you have  to take care of right now. You know,
  899. 1:52:20let your friends, let your family take  care of you. Let them offer you support.
  900. 1:52:27You're doing everything that we've asked of you.
  901. 1:52:31And you just need to now take care of  yourself and get yourself through this
  902. 1:52:39and let your family support you and let  your friends support you. You don't have
  903. 1:52:43to take care of them. You've done what  you need to do for them. You've told them,
  904. 1:52:48"I'm in a situation which I just need you to  support me unconditionally support me." And that's
  905. 1:52:55all the taking care of them that you need to do  right now. There'll be plenty of time for the
  906. 1:52:58rest of your life to take care of people. Right  now, you just need people to take care of you.
  907. 1:53:08be nice.
  908. 1:53:13But I know I've asked you this before, but I'm  going to ask you again. Um, are you still feeling
  909. 1:53:20like you're not thinking at all about suicide or  hurting yourself? No, I'm not thinking about any
  910. 1:53:27of that. Okay, good. And you promise me you'll  let us know if you start thinking that way? I
  911. 1:53:33text you guys in the middle of the night every  time I'm stressing out. Okay. So, you will Okay.
  912. 1:53:44Okay. Cuz we want to be here to help you. We don't  want this to turn into another tragedy for you.
  913. 1:53:55Well, I didn't know what time you were coming  in today and I have another appointment that is
  914. 1:53:59coming in. So, I'm going to see what agent go back  is too. That's okay. So, the judge sitting in here
  915. 1:54:04all by herself. Okay. cuz it's not a pleasant  room to be hanging out. No, not at all. This is
  916. 1:54:10awkward. I have my phone. See, the phone's ringing  and I'll just sit here. But you don't need Well,
  917. 1:54:17actually, I don't have to go and find it. Where  are you? We're trying to get your phones to
  918. 1:54:20work. I know. But you don't remember your Google  account? I should to be honest with you. It's like
  919. 1:54:25programmed into my my the two places I use it all  the time and so I don't have to remember it. So,
  920. 1:54:32the only way to transfer your contacts from that  phone, from your iPhone to that phone, is with
  921. 1:54:37your Google account. I mean, if I need to, I know.  We're going to print your We downloaded them so we
  922. 1:54:45have the file available. We can print it for you.  Can we do that? That would be nice. But we can't
  923. 1:54:50we can't move them because that's okay. Your So,  your phone is essentially you won't be able to
  924. 1:54:55download apps or anything like that without your  Google account. Okay. So, but you do know it. I do
  925. 1:55:02it on my Google account. Yeah. No. If I did, then  we wouldn't be in this. But, you know, you do you
  926. 1:55:07have it somewhere else? Uh, yeah. I'm sure I could  like reset it and figure it out. Just making sure
  927. 1:55:12you have a phone that's going to be usable. Yeah.  I mean, I can make incoming and outgoing all of
  928. 1:55:17the site is all I really care about. So, he's  going to download the messages that um uploaded
  929. 1:55:27when you redid your phone. So that's taking it  shouldn't take too long. Yeah, there's not much on
  930. 1:55:34there. Yeah, it's pretty short. Should take just a  few minutes and then we're done. They're all like
  931. 1:55:39they're not even on the right date some of them.  It's really weird how they're timestamped. Okay.
  932. 1:55:44Like there's one on there on the 13th and I'm  like I'm pretty sure that that was a conversation
  933. 1:55:49between you and Chris. Yeah, but it was like not  that same day. The 13th was a Wednesday or the
  934. 1:55:5812th. I don't I don't know. All right. It's not  in the right spot. They're not in the right spot.
  935. 1:56:05Maybe the date on the phone's messed up. I don't  know. I'll look at the phone and we'll see. Well,
  936. 1:56:10it's out of order. Like, unless I'm confused, but  I'm pretty sure the last text on there between
  937. 1:56:15me and him was actually probably somewhere in the  middle of the text. So, when you say out of order,
  938. 1:56:22like like it's saying, "Oh, hey, this  happened on like Tuesday." But really,
  939. 1:56:28I'm like, I'm pretty sure that that happened  at a different point. Okay. All right. So,
  940. 1:56:33if it's critical, we'll talk about it. Um, I need  to look at the text first, though, before I know.
  941. 1:56:39Of course. Understood. You probably want to go.  Yes. You have your next client coming in. Thank
  942. 1:56:49you for your time. I appreciate that. Oh, yeah.  You're welcome. and I'll send you those therapists
  943. 1:56:54and then you know just get started and giving  them a call and seeing who you think is going
  944. 1:56:59to be a good fit for you. So at least we can have  it ready so the one who can come says yes you can
  945. 1:57:03get started right away. Thank you. And if you need  any help making those calls you start making them
  946. 1:57:09and realize you just can't do it on your own. Just  call either Joe or I can just um call with you and
  947. 1:57:15and be there with you while you make those calls.  Thanks. Okay. And if you want to try to give the
  948. 1:57:22guy from CDL a call and talk I will definitely  call him. That is on my priority list at this
  949. 1:57:28point. I just not on the top of it. Yeah. No, I  understand that. I understand. And I'm sure he'll
  950. 1:57:35say it depends on what your contract said. So if  you have your contract with them where your dad
  951. 1:57:40can get to it because it's probably at your house.  Um if you can have it where your dad can get to it
  952. 1:57:44or something to get for you to send to him, that  probably be really helpful. I have it. It's all
  953. 1:57:50remote. It's all electronic. Oh, okay. Everything.  I don't have to go back to the house at all. Okay,
  954. 1:57:54good. Good. Okay. Thank you so much, Hazel.  And call me and check me anytime. Okay. Okay.
  955. 1:58:02All right. I'm going to see where he's at. What  else? Anything else over here that you can think
  956. 1:58:10of or want to address or you remember? Sometimes  I feel like I remember stuff, but it's like vague,
  957. 1:58:17you know? Like I'm like I can't I don't know. I  don't And not everything's important, obviously.
  958. 1:58:24I know. I tried to get you to remember as much as  I could because a lot of the stuff that you have
  959. 1:58:30told me over the last couple conversations is is  relative and it's important. And I appreciate you
  960. 1:58:36going back and looking at uh calendars and doing  all that stuff, but stop thinking about this for
  961. 1:58:41a while. I think we've got the everything. I don't  think you can remember anything more. We've had a
  962. 1:58:48lot of conversations about this case. So, just  give yourself a break. Go have dinner with one
  963. 1:58:55of your friends and have a Nobody knows who you  are. Not yet. So, even better to make that happen.
  964. 1:59:04Whoever you trust in like Charlotte or whoever  your other friends are, go have a normal night
  965. 1:59:11and not sit at your house and dwell on this. It  might do you wonders. Okay. Are they going to post
  966. 1:59:20anything if they don't find out anything? Cuz I'm  just surprised they haven't yet about me. I mean,
  967. 1:59:27it's been 4 days. You know that they are dying  to find out who you are. I know. They haven't
  968. 1:59:33even reached my inner circle yet. That's  been four days. You got good friends. Yes,
  969. 1:59:38I do. So, be thankful for that. And I We've  We've had this conversation. Is it You know,
  970. 1:59:46you said you're thinking about going somewhere  else. Go. I don't know when I'm going to do that.
  971. 1:59:50And can you guys tell me with a name change?  Can you like do that? I'm serious. Please. So,
  972. 1:59:54I can't do anything for you. It that's a legal  process. It's um it's really not that difficult.
  973. 2:00:02Um, there's just paperwork that needs to be filled  out. Uh, I think your best bet would just be to
  974. 2:00:09call uh an maybe ask an attorney to help you with  that or seek advice from I don't even know who
  975. 2:00:17you'd call. Um, honestly, but people change their  name all the time when they get married. Uh, so
  976. 2:00:24it's probably the county clerk. Um, but it's going  to I think it would have to be at a state level to
  977. 2:00:29make a name change, but I don't know specifically  how to do that. I don't Does that like become
  978. 2:00:35public? Cuz that would defeat the purpose. I don't  know. Um, I know it can be done. I just don't know
  979. 2:00:41how to do it and I wouldn't even know who to reach  out. I mean, I could find out and let you know,
  980. 2:00:46but I don't know how to do it. Um, you know, like  the witness protection thing is very, very rare.
  981. 2:00:52I'm not expecting that. I he's not going anywhere.  He's not going to hurt you. All those things. So,
  982. 2:00:59no, I'm not expecting that. I just I don't even  know. Like sometimes I'm like I just want to do it
  983. 2:01:05now and I'm like why? Because if you go to another  state, I feel like it would defeat the purpose.
  984. 2:01:10You know, a part of me I just I keep getting  really scared that it's going to be really hard to
  985. 2:01:15find good employment for like a really long time.  Like years and years and years of my life. I feel
  986. 2:01:20like people are going to if you go to another  state, this is not headlines in that state.
  987. 2:01:25You realize that I mean I I Yeah, I do. And if I  do a background on you, you're a good employee.
  988. 2:01:36It doesn't come up that you dated Chris Watts and  you're involved in this case. It doesn't work that
  989. 2:01:41way. So, I wouldn't worry too much about that.  But I mean, I don't know. I just feel like this is
  990. 2:01:49just like one of those things that if it goes to  court, it's going to be like huge. Well, I mean,
  991. 2:01:56it's national right now, but it's not like, you  know, it's not the theater event that happened in
  992. 2:02:04Aurora 7 years ago, right? That everybody in the  world knew about. It's not that. So I certainly
  993. 2:02:11for you, you're under the microscope and you  you're feeling it and nothing can anybody can say
  994. 2:02:17can change that for you. So I get it, but I don't  I think you need to just step back for a minute,
  995. 2:02:26take a breath, figure out what you're going to  do. Obviously, you have some serious very serious
  996. 2:02:31decisions to make over the next, you know, couple  of months. I know. I'm trying to find out how to
  997. 2:02:38do all this without spending all my savings.  Just saving up for a house and I'm just like,
  998. 2:02:43damn it. At least you have savings to fall back  on, too. A lot of people can't say that. Yeah,
  999. 2:02:49that is true. Well, since they fired me, hopefully  get unemployment for a little while so I can like
1000. 2:02:54get my mind right and go to therapy and then go  back to work at that point cuz I am not ready. So,
1001. 2:03:02going back to work might be a good thing for you  though then, you know, sit and think about this
1002. 2:03:05every day. I don't know. I agree with that.  But finding a job is the big task. You know,
1003. 2:03:11that's why I told her, she's like, "Why don't  you reach out to some of your friends and see
1004. 2:03:13how I feel about a job?" It's like, "Well, they  don't they don't know who what's going on." No,
1005. 2:03:19they don't now. But what I don't want is  somebody to give me a reference and then
1006. 2:03:22they find out what's going on. I think that's  really disrespectful. I think you reach out
1007. 2:03:28specifically to an employer, not a person. Other  I don't know anything about the oil industry, but
1008. 2:03:36other companies like who you work for. I have this  skill and I'd like to come to work for you. Just
1009. 2:03:44thinking about it. I was thinking about reaching  out to some old employers. I've always been a
1010. 2:03:48really good employee to those people. Everybody  when I leave is pretty disappointed. This is
1011. 2:03:52the first time I've ever been terminated from a  job. So sometimes that can be tough to get over,
1012. 2:03:59too. It's hard. This was like the dream job. I  feel awful about all of this. It's like I wanted
1013. 2:04:05that for so long to get out of the oil field. I  was so tired of living on oil rigs. It's such a
1014. 2:04:10rough life. It's like I just want to be in the  office and work environmental for an oil company
1015. 2:04:15and I finally got it and all this happens. Well,  you have that skill set now so maybe you can move
1016. 2:04:21back. I hope so. We will see. Um I forgot what  else is Are you guys Am I in trouble cuz I deleted
1017. 2:04:31his text? You're not in trouble. I didn't know  what was going on at that point. So I know if is
1018. 2:04:39there does that cause question? Of course it does.  There is. But is it criminal? No. Is there concern
1019. 2:04:47that you're hiding something? Potentially. That's  why I want them or I wouldn't be asking for them.
1020. 2:04:52I know. And you've been you've been upfront with  me uh about everything. I don't have I don't have
1021. 2:04:59a concern that that you know you ever told Chris  I don't want you you know go kill your wife or
1022. 2:05:06get rid of your kids or I don't want to date you  if you have kids. None of those things ever came
1023. 2:05:11out of your mouth. We've talked about that. No.  So, but until those text messages that are deleted
1024. 2:05:19um are there, you know, and all that, it's just  speculation. But it it's kind of like why did you
1025. 2:05:26do that? And I get your excuse. I understand what  you're saying that on Tuesday you re realized who
1026. 2:05:32this man was and what he had done. You didn't  want him to be part of your life anymore. So
1027. 2:05:36you got rid of it. I didn't even want to see it  in my phone. It was like freaking me out cuz I
1028. 2:05:39remember I had like deleted them and then he sent  me another text and then I deleted that one too,
1029. 2:05:46right? Cuz I was like I don't want to deal with  this. By the way, when you're looking through
1030. 2:05:51those texts, look for his ABC phone for that  one conversation we had where he screenshotted
1031. 2:05:56me what he did on Monday. You remember that?  Mhm. Yeah. And you said that's his Antarctica
1032. 2:06:02phone. Uhhuh. Okay. And that should be the only  like recent like there's probably stuff if you
1033. 2:06:07guys are able to pull up from way way back that we  talked, but nothing. The thing we talked about was
1034. 2:06:13him proving that he went to the oil field that he  went to work that he went to work that morning at
1035. 2:06:18whatever site he was supposed to go to to check on  the So that'll be in there movies. Okay. Okay. Y
1036. 2:06:24All right. Um and then I don't know am I allowed  to like address my friends and tell them please
1037. 2:06:30no comment to the media? I mean I haven't anything  else. I would not talk with anybody about any of
1038. 2:06:37this case except I mean I know you've tal you need  to talk to a therapist and you need to talk I'm
1039. 2:06:42sure you talking to your dad to some extent person  not well when he's not in here for this I don't
1040. 2:06:49tell him about this I tell him I'm coming down  here but he doesn't need to know anymore he's so
1041. 2:06:53stressed you're an adult you made some decisions  that caught you in a bad situation but there's
1042. 2:07:00nothing wrong with you talking to somebody I just  wouldn't didn't go into details. No, I haven't
1043. 2:07:05even been telling people. I'm a witness for it.  Certainly your best I mean if I was you, I would
1044. 2:07:12be confiding at my best friend like, "Hey, this  is what's happening in my life and I need help."
1045. 2:07:18Is there anything wrong with that? No. I mean,  that's about as far as confiding has gone was me
1046. 2:07:23telling her about some guy that I was hanging out  with, but that was like way before any of this.
1047. 2:07:28Yeah. And you need support right now, too. So you  do there is no we're not you're not in trouble.
1048. 2:07:36There's no charges against you. You're simply a  witness. I just don't want to like get in trouble
1049. 2:07:40for like talking to like my dad or like being  their friend for hell. Well, I mean like well
1050. 2:07:47my dad already knows. You know what I'm saying?  There's nothing to get in trouble for. Okay. I
  1051. 2:07:51don't know how that works. That's why I'm asking.  I'm like I don't There's just one more thing I
1052. 2:07:55don't need on my plate cuz I Oh my god. you're  not you're not um in trouble and talking to your
1053. 2:08:01friends and family about what's going on isn't  going to get you in trouble. Okay. I don't even
1054. 2:08:05want to talk to my friends about it. I don't even  want anybody to know. I mean, they're going to
1055. 2:08:10find out, but I figure the reason that I think I'm  staking out from the media as long as I have been
1056. 2:08:18is because nobody knows anything. And cuz my inner  circle is really awesome. Maybe I don't know. Oh,
1057. 2:08:25they haven't even or they just because you're not  on social media at all. But I mean, I eliminated
1058. 2:08:32all of that. I've like even had the ability to  like go through. I went and found everybody I knew
1059. 2:08:37that had any public posts and it was just like  this needs to be cleared. It's all, right? So,
1060. 2:08:43you've made it very difficult for them to find  you. Do I think eventually that at some point they
1061. 2:08:48are going to find you? Sure. Of course. You think  they're going to find out where I'm staying at? I
1062. 2:08:52think that would be really tricky. I don't know.  You haven't even told me where you're staying. So,
1063. 2:08:56and I don't know how it's connected to you or your  family. So, I mean, if it's in your family's name,
1064. 2:09:02certainly it wouldn't be that hard to figure it  out. So, if that, you know, there's ways to find
1065. 2:09:10out where people are staying, but they're limited,  unless somebody somebody knows about this place
1066. 2:09:15that talks to them. Nobody. Nobody. All right. My  doesn't even know where I'm at. Um, let me check
1067. 2:09:22on this. Yeah. Let me check on this phone. Oh,  yeah. That's right. I was like, I'm ready to go.
1068. 2:09:27I know you're ready to go. So, he's printing  the your contacts. I'll be back in a minute.
1069. 2:11:30Okay, there's those. And he's still messing with  your phone. Give me Give me a few minutes. Okay.
1070. 2:11:38Yeah. Back in a minute. Did you sign this?  Yes, it should be. It's cool. All right. Do
1071. 2:11:45you want a copy of that? Not sure that  in a minute. You guys got this all up.
  1072. 2:16:50All
1073. 2:17:12right. One more question for you. Yeah. Um,  I have jury duty on September 17th. Is that
1074. 2:17:21something that I can do given the fact that I'm  like mid in this mess? Yep. Okay. So, just answer
1075. 2:17:28their question. They're going to ask you a bunch  of questions. Answer them truthfully. Um, yeah,
1076. 2:17:34I wouldn't I wouldn't avoid it, but I just didn't  know. Have you ever gone into juror duty? Uh,
1077. 2:17:40I was supposed to go once and they didn't need  me, but I just wanted to like double check.
1078. 2:17:44No, it has no branding on what's going on in this.  So, you're all right. I think you still can get
1079. 2:17:49your phone to download the restroom. Yeah, I leave  my stuff in here and back in here. Left again.
  1080. 2:20:30Thanks. Be right back.
  1081. 2:22:18Thanks, man. It's all right.
1082. 2:22:25just having a bad day. Okay. Can you show me  the messages that downloaded? I'm going to take
1083. 2:22:31photographs of them because the device that we  were using doesn't want to work. I don't know. Oh,
1084. 2:22:38for the messages that came from Chris that you  said showed up on the phone. Yeah. I don't think
1085. 2:22:46any of the ones from his anodoral phone came in,  but I don't know the number. Okay. I didn't see
1086. 2:22:50it. Maybe they can give me that number. Or we  can check that one, too. Um, I can probably get
1087. 2:22:55it real quick. Show me the ones that you think  came from him, though. And I show Yeah, I know.
1088. 2:23:01Just give me a sec. Boom. Right there. So, I I am  going to take photographs of these in lie of uh
1089. 2:23:10downloading it with You want me to just screenshot  them and send them? Well, but there's no way to
1090. 2:23:14do that. No, right here. This isn't hooked up to  Wi-Fi or anything, is it? No, but I'm saying Oh,
1091. 2:23:21I see what you're saying. It'll come in clearer or  you can watch me do it is what I'm saying. Well,
1092. 2:23:25if I shot them and then text them to you right  now. Yeah. Or you can email them to me. I'll
1093. 2:23:30just send them to you right now while we're here.  Okay, that's fine. Okay. You know, it's scary. I
1094. 2:23:35read this one. This is back in June 27th. This  is like when we first started talking and look
1095. 2:23:41at him. Loyal, truthful, dedicated, doesn't play  games. It just makes me so sad to read this and
1096. 2:23:49think like So, are these some of the ones that  you um deleted? I deleted everything that he sent
1097. 2:23:56me. But these are just old. Like look how old. And  was there any from those dates? Yes. So look like
1098. 2:24:03these 627 629 and these are old. And then they  seem to be see and then we're missing the second
1099. 2:24:13and the third. And then there's the fourth.  Okay. So, there's a lot of messages kind of,
1100. 2:24:19but then like Yeah. Then there's no fifth, sixth,  seventh, or eighth. And then there's the ninth,
1101. 2:24:23but it's only one text. And then the 17th,  one text. And you guys text how many times?
1102. 2:24:29All the time. I bet you guys have hundreds of  messages that you need to recover. But yes. So,
1103. 2:24:33here's the 11th. But look, there's only one  from the 11th. Can I just see what he says?
1104. 2:24:40And then the only text that I think might be  out of order might is the one at the very end.
1105. 2:24:51I just wish they were more complete. And  I don't understand why they're coming in
1106. 2:24:55in bits and pieces. Like what's causing that? So  the 10th Oh, you went to you went to the Rockies
1107. 2:25:01game. Yeah. Okay. I didn't see him that day. I was  with my friends, but I stayed with him that night.
  1108. 2:25:30Okay. So, this one's on Sunday night. Yeah,  that's at 4:07 p.m. What's he talking about?
1109. 2:25:38Pounded fruit. Is that you or him? That's him. Oh,  so he was talking about that that birthday party
1110. 2:25:44he was going to go to. Whoever was hosting it,  I don't remember. Like he told me the name once,
1111. 2:25:48but when I forgot, I don't even remember to  be honest with you. Like the only names that I
1112. 2:25:53remember very well is Nick and Mark. Those are the  only two that I could be like, "Oh, yeah." Like I
1113. 2:25:58could tell you like maybe a little people. Yeah.  Um but he went to the birthday party and he said,
1114. 2:26:06"Oh, this guy always barbecues." And then he was  saying, oh, he didn't barbecue. So he was saying
1115. 2:26:13he had fruit and asparagus. Um, yeah, didn't do  any smoked barbecue at that time. He did hot dogs.
1116. 2:26:18So he was saying he avoided that. He was like  trying to eat healthy. So this is the final one.
1117. 2:26:22This is the one. I don't know if this is in order.  I'm not sure exactly what this is referring to,
1118. 2:26:28but I think this one at the bottom, oh my god,  that's absolutely ridiculous. They would freak
1119. 2:26:33out. that. Do you remember when I told you like I  was always trying to like incorporate his kids and
1120. 2:26:39stuff? I mean, even if it wasn't like directly  like me and him, but just like I was always
1121. 2:26:43thinking of cute stuff when I'd see stuff and  I was like, "Oh my god, little girls would like
1122. 2:26:47that." I would show him. And I found this box  of Lucky Charms that was unicorn Lucky Charms,
1123. 2:26:56okay? And I thought they were really cute and I  texted it to him and I was like, "Do your little
1124. 2:27:01girls know about these because they're awesome."  them and I like little stuff like that. So that's
  1125. 2:27:07I don't think that that's the 13th because I don't  think I talked in that day. What day was the 13th?
1126. 2:27:12I can't remember. Monday. Was it Monday? I think I  got to look cuz I can't I think it Well, no. Well,
1127. 2:27:17then maybe these aren't in order. Monday was  the day I think that I sent that text. Yes,
1128. 2:27:21that's Monday morning at 2:44 p.m. So that's  an afternoon Monday. Does that sound right? I
1129. 2:27:29was at work when I texted it, too. So that fits.  Okay. So then it is in order. So it is in order
1130. 2:27:35and this makes sense cuz that's Sunday, right?  That's Sunday. Okay. So they're So they're in
1131. 2:27:40order. They're just ning. So he's he's basically  saying he's still at that barbecue. Barbecue.
1132. 2:27:48And that fits. Okay. Perfect. Okay. So So no.  So then this one is in the right place. I was
1133. 2:27:54thinking 8:13 was Tuesday and I'm like I don't  think you and I had very pleasant conversation
1134. 2:27:58on Tuesday. You want to screenshot all those to  me? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, let's start. And then
1135. 2:28:04how do you scream? I turn this off, but Oh, this  phone's so weird. You like ninja chop it. Oh,
1136. 2:28:12I think that worked. Okay, so that takes us down  to 629. So then I'm going to scroll up to 630.
1137. 2:28:21Ninja shop. Interesting. That's old old school. I  had to do a stop mission in my house last night.
1138. 2:28:30star. I did not like it. Like this is scary,  but it's cool. I got it. So I went to go back.
1139. 2:28:46Okay. So while you're doing that, let me ask  you about the text with you in Charlotte. Yes.
1140. 2:28:53You talk about children and he's got his own kids  and that makes you kind of uncomfortable because
1141. 2:29:01you'd like to have your own family. Put that in  context for me. Does that is that a fair statement
1142. 2:29:07the way I'm saying it? I mean, I guess that was  never anything I like said to him though. Okay,
1143. 2:29:13that's what I want to know. Did you ever say  anything to him about like Never ever anything
1144. 2:29:20about his kids being a problem? anything about  his wife being a problem? Never. Never. I always
1145. 2:29:26try to be so inclusive with them. And even  when her was her when I was talking to her,
1146. 2:29:30it wasn't that his kids were an issue.  It was just this man already has a life.
1147. 2:29:40Should I go build my own? You know, was somebody  who hasn't done that yet. And then she was the one
1148. 2:29:45that was saying, you know, I was engaged once and  it didn't work and now I'm engaged again and she's
1149. 2:29:52trying to tell me like it doesn't matter. Like I'm  on my second time of going through this and she's
1150. 2:29:59like, I love this man very very much. And she  was saying like he's not going to love you less
1151. 2:30:06because he's already been through marriage once  and been separated and already had kids. like he's
1152. 2:30:14not going to Those reference were never made to  him though about children. Never. So Charlotte,
1153. 2:30:20that's who you were talking with. Yes. Did you  one time tell me Charlotte's a lesbian? No, she's
1154. 2:30:25engaged. Okay. You were you talking about one of  your friends that might have been a lesbian at
1155. 2:30:32some point? That's not the case. I don't think so.  I don't You You never said that about any of your
1156. 2:30:40friends that I inquired about. I don't think so.  Okay. So, I don't think that was I think on the
1157. 2:30:45first day we talked with your dad there, we had  I inquired about Charlotte. Um, yeah, you asked
1158. 2:30:52me about Charlotte and EH Harmony and I'm like,  what's on my text? And I was like, what is he
1159. 2:30:56talking about? And I couldn't find it. So, I was  wondering if maybe somebody like reference both of
1160. 2:31:01those two but not in together. Okay. I'm wondering  if that's where that came from. So, Charlotte is
1161. 2:31:07your friend. She's your closest friend. Y you guys  have this conversation, but it never went anywhere
1162. 2:31:12besides her and you. He never never mentioned  it to Chris. He never said anything about your
1163. 2:31:18kids or his kids, pardon me, damaging your guy's  relationship. No. Or nothing like that. Never. And
1164. 2:31:27I mean, and even in that, it wasn't like I I never  said his kids were a problem. It was just like he
1165. 2:31:32already has a life. Like I don't know about that.  So, in light of what's occurred though, what I'm
1166. 2:31:39trying to make sure is that there was never a  conversation that you guys had that he might have
1167. 2:31:44thought that you um were saying, "I can't be with  you if you have kids." I wouldn't I wouldn't be
1168. 2:31:53with him if I couldn't. Okay? So, I'm just making  100% sure that those I promise you like I really
1169. 2:32:01want you guys to pull these texts because all the  stuff I've been telling you will like sync up.
1170. 2:32:07And I hope we I haven't been very lucky with your  phones yet. They've been nothing but a pain. So,
1171. 2:32:13this one's coming with you. Okay. I think I know  this is a task. I'm going to Some of these might
1172. 2:32:19be duplicates, but whatever. I'm going to send  these to you. Um, no. That was kind of something
1173. 2:32:25between me and her. And it wasn't even really the  kids. It was that like he'd already been married
1174. 2:32:29before. And I was just like, I don't know if I  like am in a long-term relationship with this
1175. 2:32:34guy. Is that something he would eventually want?  Cuz that's something like I would eventually want,
1176. 2:32:39you know? I just So, your concern was more about  his prior marriage than his children. I guess I
1177. 2:32:47wasn't honestly I wasn't really that worried about  him at that time. Like if you read the majority of
1178. 2:32:52those texts, like it's very very flattering to  him and all the many things that I have to say
1179. 2:32:56about him. It was just that I wasn't like 100%  committed to him yet. I mean, I was monogamous
1180. 2:33:02with him. I wasn't seeing any other men, but  I wasn't like, "Hey, this is the guy I want
1181. 2:33:08to spend the rest of my life with." And part of  the reason that I was uncertain, I mean, yeah,
1182. 2:33:13he'd already built a life, but honestly, like, he  wasn't out of the marriage that he was already in,
1183. 2:33:21right? So, I mean, I'm not going to go tell the  whole world like, "Hey, I've got this guy and,
1184. 2:33:27you know, I'm going to take in his kids and we're  going to do this and we're going to do that." And
1185. 2:33:31it wasn't because I had any problems with them.  It's just he was very Okay. Um, I know the context
1186. 2:33:42of that text now, like looking at it looks so  bad. You have to look at it from the perspective
1187. 2:33:47that I'm looking at it. Yeah. And how it could  be misconstrued or made out to sound something
1188. 2:33:53another way. That's why I wanted to give you the  opportunity to say what it really means. Okay. No,
1189. 2:33:58I don't mean any harm towards those kids. I always  thought they were so cute when he showed me those
1190. 2:34:03pictures. He was all about them, you know. And not  only that, but it's like once you guys get those
1191. 2:34:07texts, you will see like there's not very much  mention of his children. And if there is mention
1192. 2:34:13of his children, it's always like cute stuff where  it's like, hey, you should show them this or hey,
1193. 2:34:19this apartment's great for them or you know,  what do you think of bunk beds? And you know,
1194. 2:34:23like they those little girls like reminded me of  me and my little sister. They're like the same
1195. 2:34:28age. Yeah. I mean, like it was so cute. like he  would call his little daughter, the younger one,
1196. 2:34:35CZ, call her Rampage. He's like, "She's wild."  And it used to just make me smile because my
1197. 2:34:42little sister was totally rampage. And it just  was kind of like spot on, you know? And so like
1198. 2:34:53it just kind of made me think like, okay, these  guys are going through a divorce at the same age
1199. 2:34:58that I was at when my parents went through a  divorce. It's like, how did I handle that? You
1200. 2:35:02know, and I tell him like, you know, this is what  happened when my parents separated and we were
1201. 2:35:06this old and just try to like give him a reference  because I gave a damn, right? Okay. Um I mean,
1202. 2:35:15but just because I I care about the him and I  care about his kids and and all of that doesn't
1203. 2:35:21mean that I'm ready to turn around and like  does he ever say anything like that? Like,
1204. 2:35:26do I have to get rid of my kids or do I, you  know, this shocked me just as much as I think
1205. 2:35:33it shocked the rest of the world? All of it. Like,  he lied so much. Now I go back and think about all
1206. 2:35:40this [ __ ] now. Like, it's lies. Everything  that they knew about him was lies. I mean,
1207. 2:35:45his friends let him stay the night at their  house. He even fooled them. It's not just
1208. 2:35:49me. He lied to everybody. He had all of you  fooled. And everybody stood up for him. His
1209. 2:35:56friends stood up for him. I really thought she  left. I was like, "Let her [ __ ] go." You know,
1210. 2:36:03she'll come back in a day. She'll be all right.  Let her cool down. She'll be here. It'll be okay.
1211. 2:36:07You know, like, how do we convince? Like,  I think she's just upset. And then and then
1212. 2:36:18never would I guess. I mean, even now when  I go back through this stuff that I'm like,
1213. 2:36:24it doesn't make sense, you know, or it like seems  a little off, that stuff still doesn't send a red
1214. 2:36:31flag to me like, hey, this guy's going to murder  his family. Sure. I don't think there was any You
1215. 2:36:37didn't have any indication. And by all account,  doesn't seem like anybody did. No, I just like,
1216. 2:36:45you know, sometimes I like try not to think what  that man is thinking cuz like you don't know,
1217. 2:36:50you know, but it's like how long has his brain  been like shifting to this par this paradigm shift
1218. 2:36:59where he feels the need to do this. It's like  I just don't believe that it's something that
1219. 2:37:05just happens in a day or two days. I don't think  it happens in two months. I think that this is
1220. 2:37:12something that takes a very very long time to  develop and I don't Right. So that scares you
1221. 2:37:20when you look back at it. Yeah. Because I like  I think about it and I'm like he could have had
1222. 2:37:26that capacity to do that whether I was in his  life or not. He could have had the capacity to
1223. 2:37:33do that. Maybe not even just to them. It could  have been me. It could have been our co-workers.
1224. 2:37:40I mean, the more I think about it, I mean,  I think I think a lot of people are going to
1225. 2:37:48probably assume that I was the catalyst for  his movement, but I don't think, you know,
1226. 2:37:55not me like instructing him, but him deciding  to do that because he had me in his life and
1227. 2:38:02because he was so like infatuated with what we  had going on. But, you know, like I try to put
1228. 2:38:11the the reason to it at the end. Like, why would  you wipe out your family to be with me? Like,
1229. 2:38:18it doesn't it doesn't like compute. It's like,  how would that go? Like, hey, my family just
1230. 2:38:26disappeared. And you think that I'm going to just  not be concerned about that? And not only that,
1231. 2:38:35like he was so about those little girls and I  always try to like push him to do that. Like I
1232. 2:38:41told you, like there'd be days where where like  he would want to come over my house after work.
1233. 2:38:46I'd be like, "No, go hang out with your kids. Your  kids are home." Like that was me. It wasn't even
1234. 2:38:52him. That was me pushing that. And he would go  do it, you know? And he spent time with them,
1235. 2:38:57but he was never like, "Oh, I don't want to hang  out with them." He'd just be like, "Can I see you
1236. 2:39:00for a few hours?" And I'm like, if your kids are  awake, go hang out with your kids, you know, if
1237. 2:39:05they're asleep and you want to talk, you call me,  but don't do that while they're up. Like, spend
1238. 2:39:09time with them. And and I just, oh my god. And  that that that is the part that I have like the
1239. 2:39:16hardest part swallowing where it's like, why would  you take them out to spend time with me? like
1240. 2:39:30it doesn't fit. It doesn't fit at all. Mhm. You  know, I But you said he was infatuated with you.
1241. 2:39:45But even then, if he's so all about me and  I support him being with his kids, you would
1242. 2:39:53think that he would want to do what would make  me happy. It's a good point. And so maybe what
1243. 2:40:06would make me happy was him hanging out with his  kids. It was his kids. It's in texts. It's in
  1244. 2:40:13phone conversations. I mean, so that's what you're  saying that doesn't we'll look at it. It doesn't
1245. 2:40:18I that one particular context in that just it's  so open kind of the interpretation and whether or
1246. 2:40:26not you said it. That's why I wanted to address it  in particular. Okay. Okay. Yeah. There's nothing
1247. 2:40:30like that in our text. I can tell you that  right now. Never. Did you send those? Yeah,
1248. 2:40:34we working on it. I'm sorry. How'd you ever get  any work done? You get sidetracked. I actually got
1249. 2:40:42a lot of work done. I'm just teasing you. It was  a lot easier in the oil field than it was in the
1250. 2:40:47other field. So 871956998 I am. Okay. I just want  to make sure. Yeah. Don't send those to anybody
1251. 2:40:57else, please. Let's see how many I can do at a  time. Screenshot. You probably send them all.
1252. 2:41:15How about email? If you emailed it, could you  select each one and attach it to the email? I
1253. 2:41:20mean, I just want to do it here at like in  its entirety. Okay. That's right. You don't
1254. 2:41:26have Wi-Fi on the phone, right? No, I don't have  anything on here. I'm okay. I think this is this
1255. 2:41:35could be a slow process here, but bear with me.  Yeah. I don't know. Sometimes we just feel like
1256. 2:41:44some sometimes I legitimately think that that  man's cheese was sliding off of his cracker
1257. 2:41:50long before I came into his life. Have you stayed  away from the media the last couple of days? Yeah,
1258. 2:41:59I guess they know where I live. I like I mean  know what they're reporting about him or the
1259. 2:42:04case? No. So, you've been watching that kind of.  I I thought So, you you saw a video of him like
1260. 2:42:15talking about relationships? Oh, I don't really  I can't even like bring myself to like watch most
1261. 2:42:21of that stuff. I will like scroll through the  headlines if they look different than what I
1262. 2:42:30uh previously like knew about the investigation.  Kind of looking for my name so that I know when it
1263. 2:42:40happened so that I can deal with that. But other  than that, no, I don't um I never actually watch
1264. 2:42:52that video. Okay. I don't want to like have a hard  time like looking at him now. It's kind of same
1265. 2:42:58thing like when I deleted the text like I saw his  mug shot and I like looked at it the first time
1266. 2:43:04I saw it and it scared me and now when I see  it I just like move past it because I find it
1267. 2:43:18to be I don't get it. Did I just say I  don't know how to work this new phone now
  1268. 2:43:31attached.
1269. 2:43:34One I think some of these are  repeats. I'm sorry. It's okay.
1270. 2:43:38Okay. As long as I have them all,  that'll be great. I think you do.
1271. 2:43:47You look like you've been drinking way  too much coffee. cuz I'm shaky. Yeah,
1272. 2:43:52I think it's the sleep loss 812. They're coming.  You don't have the one at the very bottom and I'll
1273. 2:44:00pick you back. Oh, you do. No, you don't.  No, you don't. You're missing the last one.
1274. 2:44:09Send me the last one and then we'll send you out  of here. And then don't think about this stuff
1275. 2:44:14for a while. I'm trying so much easier. When I'm  done with your phone, um, I'll get this back to
1276. 2:44:22you. I mean, if you guys need to keep it, just  No, we won't need to keep it because what it's
1277. 2:44:25going to do, if I take everything, then it's just  easy. I get it back to you. Okay. So, the examiner
1278. 2:44:32that's going to look at it, uh, she comes back  in early next week. Um, and I'll try to corral
1279. 2:44:38her to do that as early as possible so we can  download your phone and get it returned to you.
1280. 2:44:58All right. This phone is so different than  an iPhone. Totally different than an iPhone.
1281. 2:45:04I know that. It's just been a long time.  It's been years and years since actually
1282. 2:45:11has this phone. Oh, let me go see if I  can find his in darker number real quick,
1283. 2:45:15too. I'll be right back. Totally  forgot about that. Right back.
  1284. 2:45:54That's so nice.
  1285. 2:50:13Okay. 720.
1286. 2:50:19You just reading those. I've been  all Look for his own darko stuff. So,
1287. 2:50:25we need to get out of here. Chris,
1288. 2:50:39what is it? My handwriting 390. Let's  start. I just read and you all of those.
1289. 2:50:47It's fine. Tuesday. So, that would have been  on the 12th or the 13th. One day was Monday.
1290. 2:50:55Um 11th was Saturday. So the 13th would have  been Monday. Okay. So what about on the 13th?
1291. 2:51:04That was the day that I don't see it. I  see one of my contractors and I see him.
1292. 2:51:16I don't see him in here. I won't stop. It's  okay. So you guys need to say it this time.
1293. 2:51:25I'm so sorry. I really like I didn't know.  It's fine. Don't beat up yourself about it.
1294. 2:51:32We've already been through this 10 times.  It is what it is. Is there any older ones
1295. 2:51:37potentially from a dark phone? That's  a possibility. Is there a way to search
1296. 2:51:41those? I don't. Can you go and maybe I'll  test? I haven't used this phone in years.
1297. 2:51:52search. Cool. Yay. 720. It's going to be like  that's everybody. Nope. Okay. None on your
1298. 2:52:03phone. Okay. I tried. How about in your call  log? That was text messages. In your call log,
1299. 2:52:11did you ever converse with him on that phone?  I mean, this phone's for you. Uh, but I don't
1300. 2:52:15think Oh, but it's downloading all sorts of  stuff. How about you look at your call log and
1301. 2:52:20just see? Let's see. Let's see if it's down.  Nope. 11:02 2016. Okay. And then all of these
1302. 2:52:29are These are all 2016. So, it didn't update the  call. All it did was today once I got the phone.
1303. 2:52:39Okay. Is that a Samsung Galaxy? Yeah. I just  thought it was so weird all those messages
1304. 2:52:45started showing up and I was like, please have  all of them. You sir would have been really nice,
1305. 2:52:50wouldn't it? I could have just given you. It  would have made my life way too easy. All right,
1306. 2:52:55you ready to get out of here? I am. All right,  take your stuff. I will call you. Probably won't
1307. 2:53:08be next week. I'm going to be busy all next  week. I'll be going. So, I'll call you the
1308. 2:53:11week after about when your phone's done. Um, and  I'll get that back to you. And then at that time,
1309. 2:53:19if there's anything new, we can talk about it  then. You think he's going to take this all
1310. 2:53:24the way to trial? I do. Right now. Have they  gotten a discovery yet? No, they have some
1311. 2:53:33stuff. Do you think that's going to change when  they get them? Do they know that I'm like one of
1312. 2:53:39your witnesses? They Yeah. I mean, they have  to know. Do they know what you said yet? No.
1313. 2:54:31past three months, I barely slept because I've  been going through a lot of different emotions
1314. 2:54:36because I did I did not see this coming. You went  from being my brother, my sister's protector,
1315. 2:54:43one of the most loved people in my family to  someone I will spend the rest of my life trying
1316. 2:54:47to understand. What gave you the right to put  your hands on a woman, let alone my best friend,
1317. 2:54:52my beloved sister, your daughters, and your son?  Why weren't they enough for you? In the blink of
1318. 2:54:59an eye, you took away my whole world. The people  that mattered to me the most. Everything in my
1319. 2:55:04life, I loved your children. They trusted you.  They loved you. They looked up to you because you
1320. 2:55:10promised to keep them safe. Instead, you turned  on your family. My blood is boiling as I write
1321. 2:55:16these last words because they are the last you  will ever hear from me. I can't even think of the
1322. 2:55:21right words to describe the betrayal and the hate  I feel. And to be honest, you aren't even worth
1323. 2:55:25the time and effort it takes to put my pen to this  paper. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't
1324. 2:55:31cry for my family. They were my whole world. All  I do is ask myself why. Why would you do this?
1325. 2:55:37You don't deserve to be called a man. What kind  of person slaughters the people that love them
1326. 2:55:41the most? Did you really think you would get  away with this? Did you really think that this
1327. 2:55:46was your best option? To throw away your family  like they were garbage? They deserve better and
1328. 2:55:51you know it. I hope you spend the rest of your  life staring at the ceiling every night being
1329. 2:55:55haunted by what you've done. None of us deserved  this. Hearing my mother and father cry themselves
1330. 2:56:01to sleep in this hotel room causes me anguish that  is beyond words. I can't describe how this feels,
1331. 2:56:08how badly my heart is breaking for my poor  parents. We trusted you. You have taken away
1332. 2:56:12my family from this earth, but you can never take  them from my heart. You took away my privilege of
1333. 2:56:18being an uncle to the most precious little  girls I've ever known. I will never hear the
1334. 2:56:22words Uncle Frankie again, but you will never be  called dad again either. You'll never be able to
1335. 2:56:28put your hands on another woman, let alone my  best friend, my beloved sister, and your son.
1336. 2:56:33I just can't comprehend how they weren't enough  for you. Shannan, Bella, and Cece loved you more
1337. 2:56:38than anyone. You were their hero. How could you  destroy the people who loved them the most? I
1338. 2:56:43pray that you never have a moment's peace or a  good night's rest in the cage you'll spend every
1339. 2:56:47day of your life in. A cage you are privileged  to live in because my family isn't evil like
1340. 2:56:52you. We beg the district attorney to spare  your life despite because despite everything,
1341. 2:56:57we believe that no one has the right to take the  life of another. even even someone like you. I
1342. 2:57:04feel sorry for your family. I know the pain that  they must feel knowing that they can't hug you
1343. 2:57:08because that's how my mother, father, and I feel  every time we cry for our family. Nothing hurts
1344. 2:57:13more than watching or hearing my family weep for  their loved ones. I just wish that I could tell
1345. 2:57:18that that you would tell the truth, but I know  that that is asking for more than you are capable
1346. 2:57:22of. I stayed up all night writing this statement.  I don't sleep because of you. My life will never
1347. 2:57:28be the same because of you. But at least my  conscience is clear. I get to live free, but I
1348. 2:57:33can't say the same for you. I haven't slept in two  days because I've been anxiously waiting for this
1349. 2:57:38moment. The moment I get to tell you how I feel,  how this has affected my family and I. My family
1350. 2:57:44and I can finally grieve after today. If anything,  we will come out of this stronger today than we
1351. 2:57:49were before. And we will continue to pray for  your family. Sincerely, Frankie Rousk. Thank you.
1352. 2:58:01I wanted to say thank you for this  moment. I want to take a moment to
1353. 2:58:05thank everyone who has prayed for our  beloved family who had sent gifts,
1354. 2:58:10cards to us from all over the world. I know God  will put the evil people where they need to be.
1355. 2:58:16I also want to take the time to thank the town  of Frederick, um, Gley, uh, FBI, the DA's office,
1356. 2:58:25the CBI for exceptional work. We thank Nicole,  um, Atkinson, um, Shannon's neighbor, Nathan,
1357. 2:58:34and his family. Um, to me, they're our heroes.  They really, they really are. God bless.
1358. 2:58:41Um, God makes no mistakes on who he puts in  your life. Marriage is about love, trust,
1359. 2:58:49and friendship and unity. We marry for sickness  and health to death to us part. Our daughter
1360. 2:58:55Shannon loved you with all of her heart. Your  children loved you to the moon and back. Shannon's
1361. 2:59:02family was her world. Shannon put a crown on  your head. But unfortunately, the day that you
1362. 2:59:10took their life, God removed that crown. We loved  you like a son. We trusted you. Your faithful wife
1363. 2:59:18trusted you. Your children adored you and they  also trusted you. Your daughter, Bella Marie,
1364. 2:59:26sang a song proudly. And I don't know if you got  to see it, but it was, "Daddy, you're my hero."
1365. 2:59:34I have no idea who gave you  the right to take their lives,
1366. 2:59:44but I know God and his mighty angels were  there at that moment to bring them home to
1367. 2:59:51paradise. God gives us free will. So, not  only did you take the family of four, you
