1. 0:02One of my most played pieces is Funk the String,  and I think it's the perfect start for my show.
2. 0:13I wrote the piece in order to show how you can be  virtuoso on the violin without too much effort.
3. 0:26I wrote the piece "Yeah" especially  for the show Chill and Thrill.
4. 0:33It's the perfect piece to introduce Lucy  Landymore, my fabulous partner on the vibrophone.
5. 0:44You can really evoke some beautiful Middle Eastern  sounds when improvising with the vibrophone.
6. 1:03In our show, Chill and Thrill, we sometimes  take turns to improvise during the pieces.
7. 1:15One of the challenges in our version  of Hava Nagila is improvising in seven.
8. 1:30I wrote "Flameco Fantasy" especially  for violin solo. But when you're playing
9. 1:35with a great percussionist like Lucy  Landmore, you have to make use of that.
10. 1:43For Aleksey's "Flamenco Fantasy",
11. 1:45I had the inspiration to add Cajon  to make it even more authentic.
12. 1:56My piece, "Golden Meadows", is definitely  the chill part of Chill and Thrill.
13. 2:19This piece is part of my healing series and  it was written to relax the body and mind
14. 2:25to change the pace of the show. My piece  Vibrant opens with a blues improvisation.
15. 2:41The twisting melodies and climbing cordal  phrases are inspired by the movement of ants.

17. 3:05combining different types of percussive violent
18. 3:07techniques together with funk music -  I think that's one of my specialtities.
19. 3:18People don't usually expect to hear  improvisation in a classical recital.
20. 3:26I guess it goes pretty wild at the end when  I start singing and playing at the same time.
21. 3:36But then again, the show  is called Chill and Thrill.
22. 3:47One of my favorite parts of Chill and Thrill is  switching between mallets and hand percussion.
23. 3:58In "Si Señor", I really get to feature Lucy  Landymore on several different instruments.
24. 4:10The violin accompanying a conga  solo is not heard very often.
25. 4:33and at the end of Chill and Thrill we have to have  a bit of pander combined with some Samba dancing.
