  1. 0:00So, if you heard people talking about
  2. 0:01the new chat GPT or chat GPT work, well,
  3. 0:04that's for a good reason. They reworked
  4. 0:06the entire product. It goes way deeper
  5. 0:09now. You can do so much more. You can
  6. 0:10have it work for you. And this video is
  7. 0:12going to explore exactly that. It's a
  8. 0:14complete beginners quick start tutorial
  9. 0:16for chat GPT work and you don't need any
  10. 0:18coding or technical knowledge
  11. 0:20whatsoever. By the end of this, you'll
  12. 0:21know exactly what chat GPT work is, how
  13. 0:23to find it, and how to give it your very
  14. 0:26first task where it actually does
  15. 0:27something for you, including the
  16. 0:28planning phase. And today, in just a few
  17. 0:30minutes, we'll be building a stunning
  18. 0:31website like this that is hosted on the
  19. 0:33web. And this idea can be transplanted
  20. 0:36into any other site or application that
  21. 0:39you want to make. It's really powerful
  22. 0:40and this particular thing works way
  23. 0:42better than what you could do with chatb
  24. 0:44before. So, here's the deal. Chatb work
  25. 0:46is a brand new mode inside of Chat GBT.
  26. 0:48basically toggle a switch up top and
  27. 0:50yeah, there it is. You can give it your
  28. 0:52very first task. The core difference is
  29. 0:54that this is actually expect to do work
  30. 0:56for you rather than with you. Normal
  31. 0:58chat GP, you put in a prompt, you get a
  32. 1:00result, you do something [music] with
  33. 1:01that. You have to copy paste, move into
  34. 1:03a different app. That's the core
  35. 1:05experience you've been used to for years
  36. 1:06now. Chat GPT work well, it does way
  37. 1:09more planning as it executes the task.
  38. 1:11Matter of fact, it creates these
  39. 1:12multi-step plans on the right side that
  40. 1:14you can see right here. And then the
  41. 1:16final result is something that you can
  42. 1:18use because it does it for you. It
  43. 1:20works, right? Whether that's a
  44. 1:21presentation, a website that is live or
  45. 1:24some other formats. Many people refer to
  46. 1:26this mode of working as agentic or chat
  47. 1:29work being really an agent that does
  48. 1:31work for you. But at the end of the day,
  49. 1:33it's just a fancy word for simple idea.
  50. 1:35Instead of you telling it what to do and
  51. 1:37then it helping you with the work, it
  52. 1:39does it. What we'll explore today is you
  53. 1:41describing an outcome and it goes out
  54. 1:44and does the plan and the build and
  55. 1:46yeah, you end up with, for example, a
  56. 1:48site that is live on the internet right
  57. 1:51now. All right, this is going to be a
  58. 1:52fun one and it's a pleasure to have you
  59. 1:54in class today. Always fun to switch up
  60. 1:56the studio a little bit. So, what do you
  61. 1:57need to get started and to complete this
  62. 1:58tutorial? Well, first of all, I do
  63. 2:01recommend a paid plan. Technically,
  64. 2:02Chachi Work is available on a free plan,
  65. 2:05but a lot of the features, especially
  66. 2:06the sites feature we'll be exploring
  67. 2:08today, where it just builds his full
  68. 2:09site for you, is gated behind the pro
  69. 2:12plan, which is $20 a month, which
  70. 2:14honestly for a website building and
  71. 2:16hosting service is a good deal. And on
  72. 2:18top of that, you obviously get to Chat
  73. 2:20GPT with all of its other functionality.
  74. 2:22Number two, well, you'll need some sort
  75. 2:24of computer, as I have right here, and a
  76. 2:26web browser, Chrome, Safari, whatever
  77. 2:28you've got. Heck, technically you could
  78. 2:30be on a phone, too, and do this. But
  79. 2:32number three is the most important one
  80. 2:33because you need an idea, something you
  81. 2:35want to build, whether it's a project, a
  82. 2:37business, or just rebuilding your
  83. 2:40personal website. If you don't have one,
  84. 2:41you can just follow along with the
  85. 2:42examples that I'm going to be using
  86. 2:44today. Okay, let's start. Activating
  87. 2:46work is about as easy as it gets. You
  88. 2:48have to chatb.com. You sign in. There's
  89. 2:50no installation process whatsoever. It's
  90. 2:53just there. And today we're talking
  91. 2:54about this work mode where you just flip
  92. 2:56this toggle up top. So, press that and
  93. 2:58we're in work mode already. It looks
  94. 3:00similar, but it behaves very
  95. 3:01differently. You'll see that in a
  96. 3:03second. But in order to do our demo
  97. 3:05today, I need you to meet somebody. Meet
  98. 3:07Dave. Dave just started a lawn care and
  99. 3:09landscaping business. He's good at the
  100. 3:11actual work, but he's got a problem. He
  101. 3:13has no website and no technical ability
  102. 3:16to build one. He doesn't want to pay
  103. 3:17somebody a few thousand bucks to build
  104. 3:19him a site, and he doesn't even want to
  105. 3:21use the no code builders where he has to
  106. 3:22drag things around and do all of that.
  107. 3:24So, he figured he tried building it
  108. 3:26himself with AI where he just says,
  109. 3:29"Well, this is my vision and it's
  110. 3:31supposed to do the work." That's the
  111. 3:33point of this feature. No, I need to let
  112. 3:35you in on a secret. Dave's not actually
  113. 3:37a real person.
  114. 3:39>> I don't know who you are.
  115. 3:41>> I know, right? We made him up for this
  116. 3:42demo, but Dave represents pretty much
  117. 3:44everybody who's getting started with
  118. 3:45chat work. Not a coder. He's a real
  119. 3:48thing. He wants to build and just needs
  120. 3:49someone to show him the ropes. And
  121. 3:51that's what we're doing here today. All
  122. 3:53right. So to give work a job, you just
  123. 3:55type what you want, just like with chat
  124. 3:57GPT. But hold on, do not hit send yet
  125. 3:59because there's one step right there
  126. 4:01that makes or breaks this whole thing.
  127. 4:02And I learned this the hard way so you
  128. 4:03don't have to. Before you send anything,
  129. 4:05you need to turn on the sides tool.
  130. 4:07Here's why this matters so much. Work
  131. 4:08can build all kinds of things.
  132. 4:10Documents, spreadsheets, presentation,
  133. 4:11reports, and more. A live website, it's
  134. 4:14a specific job, and it's handled with a
  135. 4:17specific tool. And that tool is called
  136. 4:18sites. And here's the trap I fell into.
  137. 4:20first thought you could just type like
  138. 4:22build me a website, hit send, and work
  139. 4:24would figure it out. It doesn't always
  140. 4:25do that. When I tried that, in some
  141. 4:26instances, Work didn't actually grab the
  142. 4:28sites tool. It just kind of winged it.
  143. 4:30One time it handed me a zip file.
  144. 4:32Another time a HTML page. It's the sites
  145. 4:35feature specifically that you want that
  146. 4:37hosted on the internet and just makes it
  147. 4:38complete. So, do yourself a favor and
  148. 4:40remove all doubt. Tell work exactly
  149. 4:42which tool to use before you hit send.
  150. 4:44So, for that, we'll go to the tool
  151. 4:46selection down here at the bottom. I'll
  152. 4:47press plus and by typing sites I'll just
  153. 4:50select it and it will always be creating
  154. 4:52a site and that's the story with work.
  155. 4:54There's a lot of these tools built into
  156. 4:55it and often times you have to select a
  157. 4:57specific thing to use it. It will try to
  158. 4:59use it automatically and that's how I do
  159. 5:01it. Little pro tip on the side. If you
  160. 5:02type slash you can access a whole bunch
  161. 5:04of other presets and tools in here.
  162. 5:07That's a different tutorial though.
  163. 5:08Okay, now we have site selected. Let's
  164. 5:10type. Now here's the deal. Most people
  165. 5:12go in and use it intuitively and they
  166. 5:15type in something like this. Here's what
  167. 5:16I need to build a website for my
  168. 5:18business. Include a homepage with a
  169. 5:19headline and a hero section, a services
  170. 5:21section, and a few more things on Dave's
  171. 5:24mind. This makes sense. And Dave would
  172. 5:26probably put some work into crafting
  173. 5:27this and being like, "Oh my god, that's
  174. 5:29a good prompt right there. It's going to
  175. 5:31get this done." But I want to teach you
  176. 5:32a simple concept right now, which I call
  177. 5:34the context sandwich. And it's like the
  178. 5:37quickest win that you can have. And it
  179. 5:39works with building sites as it does
  180. 5:41with most other prompts. The idea is
  181. 5:43what you asked here is well it's the
  182. 5:46task that you wanted to do. Now that is
  183. 5:48fantastic. That would be like the middle
  184. 5:50part of the sandwich. But what I need
  185. 5:51you to do now is sandwich it with two
  186. 5:54buns. On top you're going to share some
  187. 5:57information on you. In this case, it
  188. 5:59would be information on Dave. And then
  189. 6:00below you put in information on what
  190. 6:03good looks like. So this is very
  191. 6:05specific to, you know, what the website
  192. 6:07should include. But what does a good
  193. 6:09website in Dave's mind look like? Let's
  194. 6:11explore that. So, let's start with the
  195. 6:13first part where he just says, "I'm
  196. 6:14Dave. I own Dave's landscaping, local
  197. 6:17familyrun lawn care." And then a few
  198. 6:19more details on his journey with his
  199. 6:20landscaping business. Below, I'll hit
  200. 6:22shift enter twice. And we'll add well
  201. 6:25the most important piece that people
  202. 6:26miss. Here's what good looks like. Few
  203. 6:29objectives like clean, professional, the
  204. 6:31look should be green, outdoorsy. And
  205. 6:33then here in the end, Dave added a
  206. 6:35little sentence. Make it so customer can
  207. 6:37find what they need in seconds while
  208. 6:38thinking, "Wow, Dave has an impressive
  209. 6:41website." So, this is always going to be
  210. 6:43individual, but it's really about
  211. 6:45turning on your visionary mode and
  212. 6:46expressing what a good result would look
  213. 6:49like for you. I put the whole prompt in
  214. 6:50the description, but again, in the
  215. 6:51middle, you put the task above two,
  216. 6:53three sentences on who you are and below
  217. 6:56what good looks like. You could give
  218. 6:58examples. You could express your
  219. 6:59emotions. Heck, you could attach
  220. 7:01screenshots of other websites and that
  221. 7:03would describe what good looks like. Do
  222. 7:04not leave out this step. It makes all
  223. 7:06the difference in getting something
  224. 7:08really good right off the bat. All
  225. 7:10right, last thing before we hit send.
  226. 7:12You go into the model selector here, and
  227. 7:13I would just recommend cranking this as
  228. 7:15far as you can. I personally on a $200
  229. 7:17pro plan, so I could go all the way to
  230. 7:19extra high. And then in the advanced
  231. 7:21settings, I could go all the way to
  232. 7:23ultra. We're just going to stick with
  233. 7:25high now cuz that's going to be
  234. 7:26relatable for most people. And I'm going
  235. 7:28to send this prompt. Oh, by the way, if
  236. 7:30you're wondering about this little
  237. 7:31character, that's a new thing inside
  238. 7:32Chat GPT work. It just changes the
  239. 7:34default loading icon of chatt. I'm a
  240. 7:36fireball type of guy. Hey, if you find
  241. 7:38this intriguing, but you have a feeling
  242. 7:41that there must be more with chat work,
  243. 7:43you're right. There's so many use cases
  244. 7:44out there. So, what we did is we went
  245. 7:46out there and experimented a bunch and
  246. 7:48collected what people did on the
  247. 7:50internet and I created a document for
  248. 7:51you with some of my favorite use cases.
  249. 7:53Some of it is just insane and impressive
  250. 7:55like giving it your camera roll and it
  251. 7:57designing a custom wardrobe for you.
  252. 7:59Other stuff is acutely applicable to
  253. 8:01business use cases like building a site
  254. 8:03like this. All of it is in a PDF that
  255. 8:05you can get for free from the first link
  256. 8:07in the description below. So go check
  257. 8:09that out. Now let's move on with the
  258. 8:10tutorial. So let's look at what actually
  259. 8:12happens here because this is the crucial
  260. 8:14difference between chat work and the
  261. 8:16normal chatbt. First it'll start digging
  262. 8:18into its site building skills. It has a
  263. 8:20whole suite of tools to actually build
  264. 8:22your site and then any second it should
  265. 8:23start making a plan. So at certain
  266. 8:25points it might ask you for permission
  267. 8:27like right here. So a few things to note
  268. 8:29about the interface here. Work has the
  269. 8:30sidebar where you can see one the output
  270. 8:33the final result. So this is the site
  271. 8:35that is being built. Two the sub aents
  272. 8:37that work. Sometimes you're going to see
  273. 8:39like a designer or a agent doing a
  274. 8:41specific task. It's sort of just like a
  275. 8:43duplicate chat GPT doing a specific task
  276. 8:46for you. And the cool thing about sub
  277. 8:47agents is they can work in parallel. So
  278. 8:49it can get work done quicker and then it
  279. 8:51hands it off to each other. Just sort of
  280. 8:53keep an eye out for these and be like ah
  281. 8:54this thing did work for me. Great. In
  282. 8:56this case, it's a monitor checkpoint,
  283. 8:59which honestly I'm not even sure what
  284. 9:01that exactly means. And then the cloud
  285. 9:03browser is a preview of the site that is
  286. 9:05building right now. It seems like we
  287. 9:07already have a first version here. I'm
  288. 9:08going to just hit preview and see what
  289. 9:10happens. You see Dave's-Landscaping.ai
  290. 9:13advantage. GPB to the site. And this is
  291. 9:16our first version of the site. Ayard,
  292. 9:18you're proud to come home to look at
  293. 9:19that. It can just make images. It's chat
  294. 9:21GPD. It's best at making images. So, it
  295. 9:24just builds that capability into it. You
  296. 9:26have all of his different services. You
  297. 9:28have a get a quote button. The one thing
  298. 9:30I will say is this might take a few
  299. 9:32minutes. Heck, it's building an entire
  300. 9:34site. It's generating the images and
  301. 9:36it's just doing everything for you. I'm
  302. 9:37just commenting over it. And there it
  303. 9:39is. Without me clicking a single button.
  304. 9:40It did all of this, right? So, I'll just
  305. 9:42go ahead and click here. Or I could also
  306. 9:46click the site at the bottom. And here's
  307. 9:47the full website. Oh my god, look.
  308. 9:49Custom images. We looked at it as it was
  309. 9:51being built, but a this is gorgeous. We
  310. 9:54have fake before after pictures. Hey,
  311. 9:56you could always upload your own images
  312. 9:57and add them in here, right? The real
  313. 9:59ones. Also, I don't understand how this
  314. 10:01is a before after. But I think you see
  315. 10:03the point. This is pretty complete with
  316. 10:05a contact form at the bottom. If I click
  317. 10:07the get a free quote button, I could
  318. 10:09type stuff in here, select a service,
  319. 10:13and then even send a request. And then
  320. 10:15now, if I'm kind of curious where do the
  321. 10:18requests go, I could ask and keep
  322. 10:20talking to it. Just like with everything
  323. 10:21else on the site, I could just massage
  324. 10:24things in by talking to it. But as you
  325. 10:26can see, this is pretty complete. It
  326. 10:28wrote the copy. It made the images. It
  327. 10:30did the layout. And it does look
  328. 10:32impressive. When I talked to it about
  329. 10:34connecting it to something, it tells me
  330. 10:36what to do. I could connect it to a lead
  331. 10:37database or my email address and then
  332. 10:39route these things. And as per usual
  333. 10:41with AI, you can just talk it into
  334. 10:43changing or making anything work in
  335. 10:45here. that this is a usable site that if
  336. 10:48I wanted well I could fully download or
  337. 10:50I could just use it as is. Here's a few
  338. 10:53recommendations on things you could do
  339. 10:55once you have your site. You could say
  340. 10:56something like, "Hey, the header
  341. 10:58background make it dark forest green
  342. 11:00instead of the current green." Or you
  343. 11:02could take a screenshot of that exact
  344. 11:04element, give that to chat GPT and then
  345. 11:07tell it, "Hey, remove this element
  346. 11:09completely." And it will do that. Or you
  347. 11:11could say something like, "Hey, add a
  348. 11:13contact form." or hey, the contact form
  349. 11:15is at the bottom of the page, move it
  350. 11:16higher up and work will go back in and
  351. 11:19make all of these changes to your live
  352. 11:21site. So, even if the first draft
  353. 11:22doesn't get you all the way there, don't
  354. 11:24give up. Keep talking to it. And if
  355. 11:25complaints come up, just type them out
  356. 11:27and hit enter. See what happens. And
  357. 11:29before I let you go, here's some honest
  358. 11:30notes on my experience with this tool.
  359. 11:32One, this sites feature might not be
  360. 11:34available everywhere at launch. It's
  361. 11:36brand new and notably, if you live in
  362. 11:38the EU, Switzerland, or the UK, these
  363. 11:40things tend to arrive a few weeks later.
  364. 11:42And two, this one is for everybody. Work
  365. 11:44runs on a usage allowance. If you're a
  366. 11:46normal person building a site and making
  367. 11:48some edits, you'll be fine. But if you
  368. 11:50go on an all day building spree, you
  369. 11:52could hit the limit and then you'll have
  370. 11:54to wait or top up your account with
