- 0:01ABBY LEE MILLER: Previously on "Dance Moms".
- 0:02So is Abby here?
- 0:03I don't know.
- 0:04ABBY LEE MILLER: Gianna.
- 0:05Abby.
- 0:06One, two, three, [inaudible].
- 0:09I texted her and she said that you
- 0:10will be fired from this dance studio
- 0:12if you choreograph that dance.
- 0:14I don't care where the [bleep] she works.
- 0:17She has made it clear she doesn't care
- 0:19about our kids or her team.
- 0:21Brooke, there's nothing we can do.
- 0:23Abby should have been here, but she wasn't.
- 0:26That was her choice.
- 0:28ABBY LEE MILLER: Coming up on "Dance Moms".
- 0:30So I did talk to Abby.
- 0:32We're definitely competing this weekend.
- 0:33CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: I need a dancer that can beat Chloe
- 0:36this weekend.
- 0:38Did Abby mention anything about nationals, Melissa,
- 0:40when you were there? ABBY LEE MILLER: Listen to me.
- 0:42I'm listening. You're the god.
- 0:44I know.
- 0:45You make a point to tell all of us.
- 0:46[bleep] you.
- 0:47CHRISTI LUKASIAK: Gianna, where's Abby?
- 0:48CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: So why have a choreographer when you have
- 0:51dance teachers?
- 0:52God, I hate this.
- 0:54I hate it.
- 0:55I hate it.
- 0:58[MUISC - NIKKO LOWE, "LIVING ON THE DANCE FLOOR"]
- 1:00NIKKO LOWE: (SINGING) Get up.
- 1:02Get on the floor.
- 1:04My world is with my girls.
- 1:07Living on the dance floor.
- 1:19Good morning.
- 1:20Hello.
- 1:21- Melissa? - Hi.
- 1:23Oh, hey.
- 1:23Don't you look fancy.
- 1:25I stopped at Abby's house before pyramid
- 1:27to see how she was doing.
- 1:29We have nationals in a few weeks and we need her back
- 1:31at the ALDC.
- 1:32Well, my mom's nurses come today.
- 1:35Oh, yeah.
- 1:36So when you look at her, you think she's healthy.
- 1:39She looks fine, but she's in so much pain.
- 1:42Don't cry.
- 1:43Don't cry.
- 1:44I know how much Abby loves her mom.
- 1:46And to put on this brave face is just crazy to me.
- 1:49And she's the one that needs to really have a big cry.
- 1:52I don't know if I'm going to be in pyramid today.
- 1:54Well, I have to tell you, this past weekend,
- 1:55I was sad you weren't there.
- 1:57Maddie needs you back this week.
- 1:59What Maddie needs and what Abby needs
- 2:01are two different things.
- 2:03My mother needs me more than Maddie does.
- 2:04Oh, yeah. But it's two weeks to nationals.
- 2:06I think you can rest assured with Maddie's record
- 2:08that she's going to be performing at nationals,
- 2:10Melissa. Don't worry about that.
- 2:12Melissa needs to understand, all that mama drama,
- 2:14it stresses me out.
- 2:16Now, as long as Kelly is at that dance studio causing
- 2:20everybody's stress, I don't need to be there.
- 2:23My mother comes first.
- 2:25When I'm upset, she's upset.
- 2:26And that's what you have to understand.
- 2:28I know. Are you kidding me?
- 2:29When I come home ranting and raving--
- 2:30I know.
- 2:31--about Paige or about this or about that,
- 2:33ruining the numbers and looking so bad.
- 2:35I can't take it.
- 2:37And you know how my mother feels about Kelly.
- 2:39Melissa, do you realize that when my dad was dying
- 2:44in intensive care, we kept my dad on life support
- 2:49during the entire recital.
- 2:52I never spoke to him again.
- 2:53I just need time and that's what I don't have.
- 3:03WOMAN: Hello.
- 3:04MELISSA ZIEGLER: Hi, guys.
- 3:06Can I sit there, Kendall?
- 3:07Honey, do you mind?
- 3:07CHRISTI LUKASIAK: Does anyone know
- 3:09if Abby is going to be here? - I don't think she's coming.
- 3:11She said that today, that she's staying with her mom.
- 3:13Does she know that today's the day we would normally
- 3:15do pyramid?
- 3:16I think it's really strange that Melissa's having
- 3:18secret meetings with Abby now.
- 3:20I mean, why wouldn't she have at least told
- 3:22the other moms she was going?
- 3:23I don't know if Abby really will even come back.
- 3:25Hey, guys.
- 3:27Girls, listen, can you guys just go to studio A
- 3:29and start stretching? HOLLY FRAZIER: Super.
- 3:31OK. - Go, go, go.
- 3:32I finally spoke to Abby and I'm in charge of the routines
- 3:34again this week.
- 3:35I hope I can pull off another win without her.
- 3:37So I did talk to Abby.
- 3:39We're definitely competing this weekend.
- 3:40WOMAN: OK.
- 3:41So do we know who's doing dances?
- 3:43Yes.
- 3:47Chloe solo.
- 3:48Oh, OK.
- 3:49Abby already knows that she's giving Maddie
- 3:51a solo at nationals but she isn't sure who else.
- 3:53She wants me to work with Chloe on the lyrical piece, which
- 3:56is her best style.
- 3:57So Christi better not have any complaints.
- 3:59Group dance, I'm guessing with everyone.
- 4:02I haven't heard yet.
- 4:03OK.
- 4:04It's a dark contemporary routine.
- 4:05And no Maddie solo, but she said she wants
- 4:10to feature Maddie in the group. - OK.
- 4:12OK.
- 4:13And Asia and Kenzie duet.
- 4:15HOLLY FRAZIER: Oh, that'll be good.
- 4:18So that's only three numbers.
- 4:21I'm happy for the other girls this week,
- 4:23but I have to be honest, I'm really mad that Kendall doesn't
- 4:26have a solo this week.
- 4:27With only a few weeks till nationals, these solos
- 4:31are everything.
- 4:32And Kendall needs to prove to Abby that she can handle
- 4:34competing on a national level.
- 4:36And I don't know how she can do that with no solo and no Abby.
- 4:40Is she coming this weekend or ever?
- 4:42Or this week?
- 4:43Is she coming today?
- 4:45She didn't say she wasn't.
- 4:46You're just going to start rehearsal,
- 4:47no pyramid, no nothing.
- 4:49This was pyramid. WOMAN: Pyramid.
- 4:51Yay.
- 4:58CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: Hey, everybody.
- 4:59KIDS: Hi.
- 5:01It's nice to see my special teams and my special moms.
- 5:05And Zack, you're back.
- 5:07You know, that's kind of like the battle cry--
- 5:09Zack is back.
- 5:10Zack has been off working professionally
- 5:13and now he's back with our team.
- 5:15With him back, hopefully we can beat Abby.
- 5:18I'm not the least bit concerned that Anthony isn't here right
- 5:21now.
- 5:22I think he was an avalanche.
- 5:24He was a accident waiting to happen.
- 5:27Anthony has not produced a win for me in a while
- 5:30and I'm a little frustrated by that.
- 5:32So without Anthony being here, I feel as though I can focus more
- 5:36on nationals, which is right down the road.
- 5:38And I don't have to play referee between him
- 5:41and the parents and the stress level.
- 5:42You want to see me in your face?
- 5:44You will never be in my face.
- 5:46Let me go for where I'm going, please.
- 5:48CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: Your choreography is in jeopardy.
- 5:49He's a puppet.
- 5:50CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: He looks dumb.
- 5:51This is a puppet. CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: No.
- 5:52Yes.
- 5:53So last time that we competed, we did a seasons
- 5:58contemporary number and we got rained on.
- 6:07We didn't win.
- 6:08The last competition, we lost to Abby again.
- 6:13And with nationals not being but a few weeks away,
- 6:17it's essential that we have a good showing
- 6:19at this competition.
- 6:20Let's begin, starting with my bottom Apple, Zack.
- 6:26No surprises there.
- 6:28It's hard to be at the top when you aren't with us performing.
- 6:30You're wonderful.
- 6:31You can move up.
- 6:33Next, we have Mary.
- 6:38Mary struggled a little bit the last time that we saw you.
- 6:40We talked about her port de bras arms.
- 6:43Mary is a beautiful dancer and I
- 6:45think Kathy is crazy for putting her on the bottom of the Apple
- 6:48tree.
- 6:49It's an insult to the dance community.
- 6:50Everybody that sees Mary knows she's trained.
- 6:52She shouldn't be there.
- 6:53CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: Let's move on.
- 6:55Kaya, you're like in the middle.
- 6:58You can no longer be the one that's not professionally
- 7:01trained, be the one that doesn't have technical classes.
- 7:05Excuse me that I couldn't afford
- 7:07to put my daughter in $1,000 classes,
- 7:09but I've never used that as an excuse.
- 7:11I'll don't need excuses.
- 7:12Nicaya's the best.
- 7:13CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: Let's move on.
- 7:15OK.
- 7:16So Had, I'm being a little bit more aggressive this week.
- 7:19It's been a while since I've gotten a win.
- 7:21There's no room for error--
- 7:24none.
- 7:26I think Hadley should be at the top of the apple tree.
- 7:28I mean, she works the hardest, I work the hardest,
- 7:31and together, we should be rewarded.
- 7:33CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: It's easy to figure out
- 7:34that our leading man this week is Lucas.
- 7:37Lucas, being at the top makes you
- 7:40that guy who has to go into battle this week
- 7:43and lead your team.
- 7:45Nationals are approaching fast and I
- 7:46need to see who can lead me to a victory this week
- 7:49and at nationals.
- 7:51I'm hoping that Lucas is the guy that can do that.
- 7:53This week, we are going to Charleston, West Virginia
- 7:56for the Masters of Dance Competition.
- 7:58I know that the Abby Lee Dance Company will be
- 8:00at the competition this week.
- 8:02Our group dance is going to be Rise of the Phoenix.
- 8:05And I'm expecting you to just rise up on stage
- 8:08and just capitalize.
- 8:10I know first handedly, because I sold on social media
- 8:15and maybe some of you did as well, Chloe is doing a solo
- 8:19at the competition this week.
- 8:21I think that Chloe is not as strong as she used to be.
- 8:25I need a dancer that can beat Chloe this weekend.
- 8:28My solo is going to be given to Zack.
- 8:33[applause]
- 8:35I'm so happy to have a solo this week.
- 8:37I've beat Chloe in the past.
- 8:39And with Kathy doing my choreography this week,
- 8:41and there's no more fights with Anthony, I mean,
- 8:43I think I can pull out a win.
- 8:44CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: It's been a long day already.
- 8:46We need to work.
- 8:48GIANNA MARTELLO: Passe away.
- 8:51[MUSIC - REBEKAH WHITE, "I KNOW IT'S TOO LATE"]
- 8:55Chloe is doing a lyrical solo this week called Too Late.
- 8:57REBEKAH WHITE: (SINGING) Your face, it haunts me in the dark.
- 9:01I can't see just what you are.
- 9:03Nationals are only a few weeks away
- 9:05and Abby doesn't know if Chloe deserves a solo.
- 9:07She has to nail this routine this week.
- 9:09I don't know what we're going to do.
- 9:11I mean, doesn't Abby say, I'm watching you for nationals.
- 9:13I'm watching you. I'm watching you.
- 9:15But you're not watching anyone for nationals
- 9:17because you're not here.
- 9:18How many more weeks do we have before we go to nationals?
- 9:19Three weeks.
- 9:21It would be nice if she can make an informed decision based
- 9:22on things that she has observed.
- 9:24I think it's unfair that Abby determines who is going to get
- 9:27as at nationals based on the performances
- 9:29over the last few weeks.
- 9:30Abby isn't even here.
- 9:32The girls certainly aren't performing at their best,
- 9:34and things here are really chaotic.
- 9:38And then flip.
- 9:39Yes.
- 9:41That's it.
- 9:42Did Abby mention anything about nationals, Melissa,
- 9:44when you were there?
- 9:47Nationals-- I don't know.
- 9:48Did she?
- 9:50She's going to be performing at nationals, Melissa.
- 9:51Don't worry about that.
- 9:53She said that Maddie probably would have a solo at nationals.
- 9:59I mean, who--
- 10:00I don't know.
- 10:01So why do we sit here and pretend
- 10:02we want to go to nationals when these guys already know who's
- 10:04going to nationals. CHRISTI LUKASIAK: I don't know.
- 10:07I mean, really.
- 10:07She said probably.
- 10:09We all know that Maddie will have a solo at nationals
- 10:12and that's [bleep].
- 10:13Once again, Melissa has a secret meeting with Abby
- 10:16and secretly gets Maddie ahead and the rest of us
- 10:20are left in the dark.
- 10:21I'm not going to sit here pretend that my kid has
- 10:23a shot of having a solo at nationals when you know you're
- 10:26getting--
- 10:27WOMAN: I don't know-- wait, wait wait.
- 10:28JILL VERTES: Yes, you do.
- 10:35CHRISTI LUKASIAK: No, I am.
- 10:37I'm speaking for you, too.
- 10:38With Abby being MIA from the studio,
- 10:40the moms decided to take a little break,
- 10:42sneak away, get some lunch.
- 10:43Plus, we really need to celebrate Kelly's return,
- 10:46and now's as good of a time as ever.
- 10:48I'm just glad that you've rejoined the team.
- 10:50It's good to have you back. KELLY HYLAND: Thank you.
- 10:52CHRISTI LUKASIAK: I don't care what anyone says.
- 10:53I can take whatever Abby wants to dish out to me,
- 10:55I just don't want her to take it out on anybody else.
- 10:58I feel bad.
- 10:59Abby's not coming because my kids are here.
- 11:01If Abby's not going to be here because of my kids,
- 11:04I will leave because I'm not taking any training away
- 11:07from your kids.
- 11:08Here's what my problem is, she's going to come, when she
- 11:10does come back, with a list of excuses of why she wasn't
- 11:13there.
- 11:14And none of them are going to be good because they're all
- 11:15going to be a lie because we know why she wasn't there.
- 11:17She admitted that she was not coming back until my family was
- 11:22gone.
- 11:23HOLLY FRAZIER: Does anyone else worry
- 11:24about Abby fuming about Brooke doing a solo last week?
- 11:28I think she's going to be pissed off but I don't think--
- 11:31I think she's coming in guns blazing and we're all in her
- 11:34cross-hairs.
- 11:42Question, who wants Abby to be here today?
- 11:44Me.
- 11:46I'm ready for Abby to just randomly walk into rehearsal
- 11:48and be like, you're doing this wrong.
- 11:49You're doing this wrong.
- 11:51HOLLY FRAZIER: I think we're all waiting for that.
- 11:52See.
- 11:53Another day of rehearsal and Abby's not here again.
- 11:57I'm getting really worried.
- 11:58We really need her here right before nationals, no question
- 12:01about it.
- 12:02HOLLY FRAZIER: Hi.
- 12:03Ready girls?
- 12:04Let's go.
- 12:06Abby isn't here this week, but we need
- 12:07to keep things going as usual.
- 12:09The girls have a competition and they
- 12:11have to keep practicing their routines as if she were here.
- 12:13One, two, three, four, five, six.
- 12:17Do you guys think Abby's going to show up today?
- 12:20Wanting or needing Abby here is irrelevant.
- 12:21I think she should be here.
- 12:23I really think she should be here.
- 12:24KELLY HYLAND: Maybe I should take a piece of my donut.
- 12:25Oh my god, we could leave a trail of hamburgers
- 12:28from the house to the studio if we want to get her back.
- 12:32That's perfect.
- 12:33We could it--
- 12:34a donut, a burger, a donut.
- 12:37Maybe a chicken nugget here or there.
- 12:39I am going to burn--
- 12:40at least you'll be next to me.
- 12:41I'll be right beside you.
- 12:48CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: So why don't we
- 12:50start to develop an opening.
- 12:52Five, six, seven, go.
- 12:54One, two, three, four, and give.
- 12:58The group number this week is called Phoenix Rising.
- 13:01And I think that is pretty appropriate
- 13:03because the last time we didn't win
- 13:05and we want to rise up out of the ashes to be victorious.
- 13:09Four and up, six, seven.
- 13:11OK.
- 13:12Don't move.
- 13:13Who needs Anthony anyhow?
- 13:15It's my dance studio and I'm perfectly capable of leading
- 13:18this team to victory.
- 13:19I'm feeling like that push, there's no resistance.
- 13:21Yeah.
- 13:22Get angry about it.
- 13:23That's Anthony's face.
- 13:25Push it down in the ground.
- 13:27With Anthony gone, this is my chance
- 13:29to step up and help this team.
- 13:31We spotlight the boys first and then we count the girls in.
- 13:35The girls might circle around the boys.
- 13:36Sure.
- 13:38I want this number to be perfect because nothing would
- 13:41make me happier than beating Abby after the way she's
- 13:44treated Hadley.
- 13:45Five, six, same thing.
- 13:47Hit, hit, back, front, and stop.
- 13:50So much better.
- 13:51Walk, walk, back, front, ball change.
- 13:53Lift, lift-- listen.
- 13:55OK, stop.
- 13:56The whole group gets to start over
- 13:58because I said we're moving on.
- 13:59Everyone heard that but one person.
- 14:02Make every move count.
- 14:04Ready?
- 14:06Five, six, seven, eight, walk, walk, back, front, ball change.
- 14:09I'm happy if Yvette wants to pitch in with group rehearsal
- 14:12but, ultimately, everybody on this team
- 14:14has to understand it's my dance studio
- 14:17and it's me who makes the final decisions.
- 14:21Reach, reach, up, down, one, two, three.
- 14:32GIANNA MARTELLO: Ready?
- 14:33Five, six, seven, eight.
- 14:35Go one, two, three, four.
- 14:38Cathy just announced online that her candy apples are going
- 14:41to be at the same competition as us.
- 14:43And with Abby being gone, you know, who's Cathy
- 14:45going to direct all of her psycho attention to?
- 14:47You know, Abby hasn't been here for a week and a half.
- 14:49I don't think seeing candy apples this weekend is
- 14:51necessarily going to like draw her back.
- 14:53At least when Abby's around, she takes the brunt of it.
- 14:56With her gone, it's all on the moms.
- 14:58She's not going to let us go to a competition
- 15:00without her being there when Cathy is going to be there.
- 15:02You know what Cathy does to her.
- 15:03Do you think Abby's going to protect us?
- 15:04She's afraid of a little purse for god's sake.
- 15:07Don't.
- 15:08JILL VERTES: Cathy, no one wants you here.
- 15:09Just shut your mouth.
- 15:10JILL VERTES: Shut your mouth. ABBY LEE MILLER: No.
- 15:12I didn't mean to do that.
- 15:13Know what?
- 15:14Because I didn't mean to do that either.
- 15:17GIANNA MARTELLO: Four, five, six, seven, pull, and walk.
- 15:22Hello.
- 15:22Hi.
- 15:25How's it going, ladies?
- 15:27HOLLY FRAZIER: She's back.
- 15:29It's just amazing to me how Abby can walk in a room
- 15:32and totally suck the life and the fun out of the room.
- 15:35HOLLY FRAZIER: She's back.
- 15:36KELLY HYLAND: They look scared.
- 15:39I don't know what she's going to do,
- 15:41and I think my kids are terrified.
- 15:47Hello.
- 15:48Hi.
- 15:50How's it going, ladies?
- 15:51HOLLY FRAZIER: She's back.
- 15:52Look who found the hamburger trail.
- 15:55When Abby walks in, everybody kind of froze a little bit.
- 15:59No one knew what to expect.
- 16:01She actually had a smile on her face,
- 16:04but that should have been the first tip off to us
- 16:07that something's going down.
- 16:09What are you two doing here?
- 16:11Thought you'd sneak in while I was away?
- 16:13KELLY HYLAND: Look at Brooke. She keeps moving back.
- 16:14You can feel the tension.
- 16:16You can cut it like a knife.
- 16:17These kids are thinking [bleep]..
- 16:19If you have to be here, you're going to work.
- 16:22You two will be doing solos every single week
- 16:25and you will have the exact same amount of time
- 16:27that Maddie has to learn them.
- 16:29I'm going to work their lazy butts so hard,
- 16:32they're going to wish they never walked back into this studio.
- 16:34[MUSIC - CARLIE DE BOER, "BLACK AND BLUE"]
- 16:36CARLIE DE BOER: (SINGING) No one says it'll be perfect.
- 16:42The routine Black and Blue is sending a strong message
- 16:47to the audience and the judges.
- 16:49I think that Maddie has the capability of executing all
- 16:54that emotion on stage to take us on this journey to tell us
- 16:58that she's been made fun of, that she's been ridiculed.
- 17:01Arms are in the middle of body.
- 17:05That grand jete is bad.
- 17:07Feet pointed underneath you.
- 17:09You're sickling your right foot in the attitude turn.
- 17:16Come down.
- 17:17All of us?
- 17:18JILL VERTES: Everybody.
- 17:19Right now, I want to speak to the moms.
- 17:22Hello.
- 17:23JILL VERTES: Welcome back.
- 17:24You say welcome back like I haven't been here.
- 17:27You haven't been here.
- 17:28Wow.
- 17:29Where in the world were you, then?
- 17:31I was at Star Power judging.
- 17:33That was 10 days ago.
- 17:34That was over a week ago, over a weekend and a week.
- 17:37You don't want to know where I am.
- 17:39These moms have some nerve.
- 17:41They want to know where I was and what I was doing
- 17:44and who I was with.
- 17:45Excuse me.
- 17:47It's none of your business.
- 17:48What does it matter?
- 17:49You guys are not Abby's keeper.
- 17:51Just like she's not mine.
- 17:52So when I wasn't here, it was none of her business
- 17:55where I was.
- 17:55Why are you here?
- 17:57Because I'm part of the team.
- 17:59Why would you have the audacity
- 18:00to walk back into a building with all these people
- 18:04that heard you and your ugly, pathetic mouth?
- 18:07Suddenly you're back in here and your kids want to be here.
- 18:10Their mother broke the Abby Lee Dance Company contract.
- 18:13And so did Abby Lee Miller when she said in her contract
- 18:17she will provide a nourishing healthy environment.
- 18:22Why do you all let her just keep talking and talking
- 18:24and talking? She barely speaks English.
- 18:26Because they agree with everything I'm saying.
- 18:28Oh, they do?
- 18:29Melissa, you agree with her?
- 18:30No.
- 18:31Absolutely not.
- 18:33I don't fight their battles.
- 18:34They know where I stand and I made it clear.
- 18:36Why do you laugh?
- 18:37Because if it wasn't for all of us--
- 18:39if it weren't for all of us--
- 18:41ABBY LEE MILLER: Christi, to me. - I'm listening.
- 18:43You're the god.
- 18:44I know.
- 18:45[bleep] you.
- 18:47When Christi opens up that beak,
- 18:50she sounds like a drunken sailor.
- 18:53Every four letter word just rolls right out of her mouth.
- 18:56So I'm going to start rehearsal with Asia and Mackenzie
- 19:01and you guys can all figure out if Brooke and Paige are
- 19:04the best two suitors for the team.
- 19:06You set people up to look bad to make one look good.
- 19:09If I could wave a magic wand, Kelly,
- 19:11and make your two kids, 5 foot 8 and brilliant, I would.
- 19:16But I don't have that magic wand.
- 19:17KELLY HYLAND: Yeah.
- 19:18I'd like to do it to you, too. ABBY LEE MILLER: Right.
- 19:20Wouldn't that be nice?
- 19:21Wouldn't that be nice?
- 19:22I'd make you 5 foot 8 and 100 pounds
- 19:24so you'd stop being so horribly mean inside.
- 19:26Make it happen.
- 19:28Abby's really pushing me with the comments about my kids,
- 19:30but she better watch herself because I'll
- 19:32do a lot more than just tap her with my purse.
- 19:37Let's do this.
- 19:38This is the last day of rehearsal.
- 19:40You need to tell the story that you're being rescued.
- 19:44Tell the story.
- 19:52My solo this week is called Rescue.
- 19:54And I'm really excited because Cathy is helping me out with it
- 19:57and I think I can beat Chloe.
- 19:59Now that Anthony is gone, I'm really excited that I
- 20:02get to come out of my shell.
- 20:03So I feel like I'm dancing better than I ever have before.
- 20:08[applause]
- 20:13YVETTE WALTS: Yes.
- 20:14BRIGETTE TRIANA: Good job.
- 20:15It's your time to shine.
- 20:17You're getting to go out and do a solo
- 20:19and feel great about yourself because you have
- 20:22so much greatness within you.
- 20:24Dance for the cause, not the applause.
- 20:28OK, girls.
- 20:29I want to see it.
- 20:30Mackenzie and Asia have a killer duet.
- 20:33It's called We Hit Harder and they hit it pretty hard.
- 20:38This is going to be a competition
- 20:40within a competition.
- 20:41Not only is the duet going up against all the other duets,
- 20:45but the dancers are going up against each other.
- 20:47[MUSIC - JOY CHARITY ENRIQUEZ, "WE HIT HARDER"]
- 20:49ABBY LEE MILLER: Mackenzie, your acting skills are horrible.
- 20:52Why do you take the easy way out?
- 20:55I want to see your reaction like, oh no, you didn't just
- 20:57touch me on the nose.
- 20:58Mackenzie, no answer?
- 21:00Just like your mother, you're going to not say anything?
- 21:02I think Abby's picking on Mackenzie
- 21:04because nationals is just right around the corner
- 21:06and she really wants Mackenzie to compete.
- 21:10What you guys did out there, it
- 21:12could have been somewhere else.
- 21:14We know why she's mad.
- 21:16You're backing up Kelly, who is your friend.
- 21:18But at the of the day, you guys have
- 21:19to deal with what Abby is going to choose to do because you
- 21:22guys decided that.
- 21:23Oh my gosh.
- 21:24So you're blaming all this on me?
- 21:26No I'm stating a fact on what Abby is saying.
- 21:29So once again, I'm the [bleep]..
- 21:31I was the [bleep] and everybody blamed it on me.
- 21:38Once again, I'm the [bleep] because I'm torturing
- 21:42everybody's kids again.
- 21:44Once again, let's do this.
- 21:45Screw you, Kristie.
- 21:46You're brand new here.
- 21:47My kids have been dancing here since they were two.
- 21:49It's just a mess.
- 21:51We're not even cohesive as a group
- 21:52to make sure the girls are going to do well.
- 21:56It's really hard to watch people that I care about,
- 21:59people that I'm friends with, and see them tear each other
- 22:03apart.
- 22:03We're in big trouble.
- 22:05[MUSIC - JOY CHARITY ENRIQUEZ, "WE HIT HARDER"]
- 22:06JOY CHARITY ENRIQUEZ: (SINGING) Y'all hit hard, we hit harder.
- 22:06Harder.
- 22:07Y'all hit hard, we hit harder.
- 22:09Y'all hit hard, we hit harder. ABBY LEE MILLER: Kick her.
- 22:12Down. Over.
- 22:15Grab her.
- 22:16Take her up.
- 22:17Hold onto her.
- 22:18Turn around.
- 22:19Put her down.
- 22:20You plié.
- 22:22I only intend to enter one child in the mini division
- 22:25at nationals.
- 22:27It looks like it's going to be Asia.
- 22:29Mackenzie better step it up if she plans on having
- 22:32as many crowns as Maddie does.
- 22:34Mackenzie, there's people in life like Asia.
- 22:36They're going to put you in the corner
- 22:38and no one's ever going to look at you.
- 22:40Got it?
- 22:42All right.
- 22:42You guys are finished.
- 22:43Thank you.
- 22:44ABBY LEE MILLER: Thank you.
- 22:52We're on our way to Charleston, West Virginia
- 22:53to attend the Masters of Dance Arts Competition.
- 22:56And these girls, they better put their best foot forward
- 22:59because I am focused on who I'm picking for nationals.
- 23:05Melissa, I have Mackenzie's costume here.
- 23:08And here is Asia's, Kristie.
- 23:13They were kind of quickie, last minute,
- 23:14but they'll be cute on stage. They'll be sassy.
- 23:16Yeah. OK.
- 23:17So I told the girls in class, the wicked witch of the west
- 23:21will be there, and that's not me.
- 23:23Fun, fun, fun.
- 23:27[cheering]
- 23:30Candy, candy, candy.
- 23:41WOMAN: Yeah.
- 23:42They cheer for us, not for Cathy.
- 23:46Excuse me.
- 23:47Sorry, sorry.
- 23:48Excuse me.
- 23:49Don't touch me.
- 23:49Don't touch me.
- 23:50Don't touch her.
- 23:51Don't touch her.
- 23:52[interposing voices]
- 23:53Don't touch me.
- 24:05I mean, who acts like that when you walk into a dance
- 24:07competition?
- 24:09How's your striped socks and black shoes, hag?
- 24:11She always comes up with names.
- 24:12That's a good one.
- 24:14Gianna, where's Abby?
- 24:16GIANNA MARTELLO: I think she was running late this morning.
- 24:18I don't know.
- 24:19Abby's not here again.
- 24:21She was on the bus yesterday.
- 24:22We're at competition and she's nowhere to be found.
- 24:25[inaudible]
- 24:27[phone ringing]
- 24:29Yeah.
- 24:30Hi, Ab.
- 24:31Are you coming?
- 24:32ABBY LEE MILLER: No.
- 24:33I've got to go.
- 24:34She hung up.
- 24:36What is her excuse this time because it's not me.
- 24:38I think the writing is on the wall with Abby.
- 24:40She does not want to be here with these kids.
- 24:42But right now.
- 24:44The task at hand is to beat these rotten apples.
- 24:46KELLY HYLAND: Oh, look how cute.
- 24:49HOLLY FRAZIER: Oh, oh, I love that.
- 24:52That's pretty.
- 24:53Oh, you look beautiful.
- 24:56So where's the beluga?
- 24:57That's what I want to know.
- 24:58She might not be here.
- 24:59Let's hope.
- 25:00Let's hope she's not.
- 25:02Well guys, listen, I think we have to get Zack warmed up.
- 25:05I'm going to take care of stretching Lucas out.
- 25:07You continue to stretch Zack out.
- 25:09Thank you.
- 25:10Stop out of your hips now.
- 25:11You remember yesterday?
- 25:12Good.
- 25:15Zack's solo is amazing.
- 25:16And I'm so happy that Yvette has stepped up
- 25:19and helped out with the choreography.
- 25:21It's sure to be a win for us.
- 25:23All right, you guys, we did it last week, we can do it again.
- 25:26Chloe, Asia, Kenzie, it's kind of on you right now.
- 25:30Are we ready?
- 25:31All right.
- 25:32Let's go.
- 25:33[music playing]
- 25:44Oh, and by the way, Melissa, I have had no face lift.
- 25:48Why would you say that?
- 25:49[interposing voices] Shut-- why do you always
- 25:51have to interrupt?
- 25:52You are the rudest person in the world.
- 25:53- But was she talking to you? - Shut your mouth.
- 25:54Shut your mouth.
- 25:56I'm going to take my bra off and show her
- 25:57how my boobs are still perky.
- 25:59She said I needed a lift.
- 26:01Who is that white-faced bag to tell anybody about anything?
- 26:06ANNOUNCER: All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 26:08no we're ready in the mini duet trio division.
- 26:10Mackenzie and Asia have a dance battle.
- 26:13I'm worried that Asia is going to overshadow Mackenzie
- 26:16in the duet and she might not be able to dance at nationals.
- 26:20ANNOUNCER: This is entry number eight, Asia and Mackenzie
- 26:23with "We Hit Harder".
- 26:24[applause]
- 26:26[MUISC - JOY CHARITY ENRIQUEZ, "WE HIT HARDER"]
- 26:36JOY CHARITY ENRIQUEZ: (SINGING) Go ahead and take me down.
- 26:39Gonna spin their heads right round round.
- 26:42We gonna chew them up and spit them out, y'all.
- 26:44We gonna show them what this team is all about.
- 26:47We're gonna sock it to them in the worst way.
- 26:49We came to steal your fame and take your name.
- 26:52We came to steal your fame and take your name.
- 26:55We came to steal your fame and take your name.
- 26:58You take the left.
- 26:59You take the right.
- 27:01You take the middle.
- 27:02I got the back.
- 27:04You take the left.
- 27:05You take the right.
- 27:06You take the middle.
- 27:08I got the back.
- 27:09Now, on the count of three, go ahead and attack the enemy.
- 27:12On the count of three, go ahead and attack the enemies.
- 27:151, 2, 3, 3.
- 27:171, 2, 3, 3.
- 27:25Break.
- 27:26[applause]
- 27:31They did it.
- 27:32That was good.
- 27:33Oh, I loved it.
- 27:37I think the duet was amazing.
- 27:39The girls were flawless.
- 27:40But I think Asia dominated that routine.
- 27:43Abby would be proud.
- 27:45I feel incredible before Zack stepping out.
- 27:48I think Zack's ready to beat Chloe.
- 27:50He's done it before and he can do it again.
- 27:52ANNOUNCER: All right.
- 27:53Up next in the junior solo division,
- 27:54this is entry number 23, Zack with "The Rescue".
- 27:57[applause]
- 27:58[MUSIC - TIM BESAMUSCA, "THE ROAD"]
- 28:58[applause]
- 29:04Zack's solo was fabulous.
- 29:06He was breathtaking.
- 29:08He held the audience and he delivered.
- 29:14I know that, for once, Chloe's not
- 29:16nervous to dance because Abby's not here.
- 29:18She's 25 times more confident than she ever
- 29:20is because her dance teacher didn't tell her
- 29:22she sucked right before she went on stage.
- 29:24It's a winning day for Chloe no matter where she places.
- 29:27ANNOUNCER: All right.
- 29:28Next to the junior solo division,
- 29:30we have entry number 22.
- 29:32This is Chloe with "I Know it's Too Late".
- 29:33[applause]
- 29:39Go Chloe.
- 29:43[MUSIC - REBEKAH WHITE, "I KNOW IT'S TOO LATE"]
- 29:50REBEKAH WHITE: (SINGING) Your face, it haunts me in the dark.
- 29:54I can't see just what you are.
- 29:59So torn apart.
- 30:04I'm so possessed with this obsession.
- 30:11There's no turning back.
- 30:16I know it's too late.
- 30:19So I'll sit here and wait.
- 30:23Not alarmed by my fate.
- 30:26And I must embrace, wish I could be like you because I cannot
- 30:34undo.
- 30:36I did it all for you.
- 30:46I know it's too late.
- 30:51[applause]
- 30:57I think Chloe deserves a solo at nationals because she went
- 30:59out there and she killed that solo.
- 31:01And I don't think she could've danced better.
- 31:03[cheering]
- 31:07Abby would've been so proud of you.
- 31:08She would.
- 31:10I'm very proud of you.
- 31:11And the judges were smiling.
- 31:12Good.
- 31:13Good.
- 31:14CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: Yeah, Zack.
- 31:18How did you feel about that?
- 31:19Good.
- 31:20It was amazing.
- 31:27HOLLY FRAZIER: Don't we go this way?
- 31:28YVETTE WALTS: Leave it on the dance floor.
- 31:30Leave it on the dance floor, kids.
- 31:31How many of you are dance teachers here?
- 31:33I am.
- 31:34So why have a choreographer when you have dance teachers?
- 31:36Well, we found out that we don't need one now.
- 31:38Actually, Cathy did all choreography.
- 31:45I cannot believe that Gina D told the ALDC team that I had
- 31:49nothing to do with this dance routine.
- 31:51I'm done.
- 31:52I'm done.
- 31:59YVETTE WALTS: God, you make me so mad.
- 32:01CHRISTI LUKASIAK: Yvette, you can sit with us if you'd like.
- 32:04I'll even let you sit by me because this is ridiculous.
- 32:07God, I hate this.
- 32:09I hate it.
- 32:11I hate it.
- 32:21Why did she say Cathy first?
- 32:23What [bleep] thing did Cathy do?
- 32:24Cathy didn't spend a second on this routine.
- 32:27OK.
- 32:28I feel so pushed aside.
- 32:30I feel like Gina just gave Cathy all the credit
- 32:33and I got no respect.
- 32:35HOLLY FRAZIER: Well, that was a lively bunch.
- 32:37KELLY HYLAND: I'm confused.
- 32:38HOLLY FRAZIER: Well, I think the issue was Yvette
- 32:40did the choreography and Cathy said she did the choreography.
- 32:45It sounded like Yvette did it and Cathy took the credit
- 32:47for it.
- 32:48This is so embarrassing because our enemy
- 32:51is seeing us fall apart right before we go on.
- 32:54I wish Yvette would have just kept it together
- 32:56and not shown our weakness to everyone.
- 32:59I don't know, this crazy train.
- 33:04Why did she do-- why did Gina do that?
- 33:07Why would you do that?
- 33:08She did say your name.
- 33:09Because I even said to her to say your name first.
- 33:11You want to know why I walked away too soon?
- 33:13I get worked up.
- 33:14You know why?
- 33:15Because it's a piece of me that's on stage
- 33:17because I'm so passionate.
- 33:19That hurts my feelings.
- 33:21I thought by getting rid of Anthony
- 33:23that I would be getting rid of the drama but boy was I wrong.
- 33:26I've traded in yelling for tears.
- 33:29I don't have time to waste on a grown woman crying.
- 33:34I have better things to worry about and that's beating ALDC.
- 33:39YVETTE WALTS: Let's go kick their ass.
- 33:41CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: Yvette, we can't walk in here crying.
- 33:43YVETTE WALTS: I know.
- 33:44ANNOUNCER: All right.
- 33:45Next up in the junior small group division,
- 33:47this is entry number 39 entitled "Phoenix Rising".
- 33:51[applause]
- 34:00[MUSIC - TWO STEPS FROM HELL,
- 34:02"LORD OF DEATH"]
- 34:45[applause]
- 34:52The group "Phoenix Rising" did well.
- 34:56I feel that they definitely should win top overall.
- 35:02ANNOUNCER: Up next in the junior small group division,
- 35:05this is entry number 38 entitled "Black and Blue".
- 35:08[applause]
- 35:11[MUSIC - CARLIE DE BOER, "BLACK AND BLUE"]
- 35:18CARLIE DE BOER: (SINGING) No one said it'll be perfect.
- 35:29Hush, hush, hush, hush now.
- 35:34Hush, hush.
- 35:40It's only a bruise.
- 35:49Maybe it'll all work out in the end.
- 36:02[applause]
- 36:08Our girls are flawless in the group dance.
- 36:11And the group that candy Apple has--
- 36:14I think this is definitely a win for us.
- 36:16ANNOUNCER: All right.
- 36:17We are going to get right into our judges awards.
- 36:19Moving into the elite mini duo trio division, in second place
- 36:24was act number seven, "Too Many Fish".
- 36:30And your highest scoring elite mini duo trio is
- 36:34act number eight, "We Hit Harder".
- 36:36[applause]
- 36:38I think the girls did amazing together.
- 36:40Their timing was on.
- 36:42But I think Asia was held back in this duet with Mackenzie.
- 36:45ANNOUNCER: The top 10 highest scoring routines.
- 36:47Moving along is the elite junior solo division of competition.
- 36:53In third place, act number 14, "Via de la Rosa".

- 37:03is Zack with act number 23, "The Rescue".

- 37:14with a score of 277.4 points, is Chloe with that number 42,
- 37:20"It's Too Late".
- 37:21[applause]
- 37:28I don't know if I had ever been happier,
- 37:30even when she won nationals.
- 37:32For whatever reason, this one meant so much more to me.
- 37:37ANNOUNCER: And moving on to our elite junior small group,
- 37:40in third place was number 34, "Freedom.

- 37:55number 38, "Black and Blue".
- 37:56[applause]
- 38:03I'm so thrilled that the group feels won again without Abby.
- 38:06We don't need you, Abby.
- 38:07We do better without you.
- 38:09Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 38:13ANNOUNCER: All right, guys, you all can take a bow.
- 38:18Well, that was disappointing.
- 38:19I think that was a bunch of BS.
- 38:22Hello.
- 38:25Here.
- 38:26You know what, Yvette?
- 38:27You better take this poncho because any minute now Jill's
- 38:30probably going to throw water.
- 38:31HOLLY FRAZIER: We don't have any drinks.
- 38:32We don't have any drinks.
- 38:33So from me to you.
- 38:35I want to know who carries a poncho in their faux handbag,
- 38:37Cathy.
- 38:38CATHY NESBITT-STEIN: I'm leaving.
- 38:40I'm not going to listen to big [bleep]..
- 38:43All I'm saying, ladies, is that I'm sorry,
- 38:46Zack is amazing, Chloe's better, technically.
