- 0:07believe it or not we all have the
- 0:09capacity to be leaders and to work
- 0:11towards a more just and fair world we
- 0:15may not realize it but much of what we
- 0:17do in our day to day lives has an impact
- 0:20on our brothers and sisters around the
- 0:22world the Catholic social teaching
- 0:25principle of solidarity teaches us that
- 0:28we should commit ourselves
- 0:29wholeheartedly to the good of all this
- 0:32is how we stand in solidarity with our
- 0:34one human family there are a number of
- 0:37ways we can do this but today let's
- 0:40think about leadership there are many
- 0:42different types of leadership from heads
- 0:44of companies to individuals making
- 0:46everyday decisions everything we do
- 0:49impacts on others can you name a leader
- 0:52of a big company or country and one
- 0:55leader in your community what influences
- 0:58the decisions they make
- 1:05at Caritas Australia we believe that
- 1:08like Maris deli we are all able to
- 1:11become just leaders by taking
- 1:13responsibility for our everyday
- 1:15decisions and actions that have an
- 1:17impact on other people and on creation
- 1:19we are living in solidarity in the
- 1:22favelas or slums in the city of Sao
- 1:24Paulo in Brazil young people like Maris
- 1:27tele
- 1:27receive leadership training from Caritas
- 1:29Australia's partner the movement for the

- 2:22just to say that I'm here with you and
- 2:25we're going to build a better future for
- 2:27us all imagine a world where everyone
- 2:32was adjust leader a world where each of
- 2:34us stands in solidarity with our one
- 2:36human family by making just decisions
- 2:39based on the good of all we sowed the
- 2:43seeds of hope and even though the seed
- 2:46that we plant is small the seed girls
