0:14casey anthony and
0:15casey we talked earlier this morning and
0:17uh we're working a case looking for your
0:18daughter kaylee is that correct yes
0:20okay uh we came here to universal
0:21studios we're sitting in a little
0:23conference room
0:24you know obviously the door isn't locked
0:25we just closed it so we got a little bit
0:27of privacy and talk to you
0:28and a couple more questions came up and
0:31we need to ask you about
0:32uh remember how i opened this whole
0:35thing in the morning
0:36by saying that you know we need to get
0:37the complete truth and and the snowball
0:39effect and
0:40how it goes okay we're about
0:43halfway down that hill three quarters
0:44down the hill that's pretty big snowball
0:46which means that there's a lot of stuff
0:47going on right now
0:49and i can tell you uh just for certainty
0:51that
0:52everything you've told me so far has
0:53been a lie i i can tell you
0:55with a certainty and let me explain why
0:57since i left you this morning
0:59i've gone to every address that you've
1:00told me i've looked up every name i've
1:01talked to every person that you you want
1:03me to talk to or try to
1:05i've reached out i've talked to your
1:06ex-boyfriend talk to amy i've talked to
1:08tony
1:10i came over here i've already talked to
1:11all the employees i found out all these
1:13names that you've given me are people
1:14that either never worked here or have
1:15been fired here for a long time ago
1:17okay so where we are right now is
1:20in a position that doesn't look very
1:22good for you and this is going to be
1:23your your escape patch so to speak
1:25this is going to be the point where you
1:26stop all the lies and you stop all the
1:28fibs and you tell us exactly what's
1:30going on

1:34i know and you know that everything you
1:36told me is a lie correct
1:38not everything that i told you okay uh
1:41pretty much everything that you've told
1:42me
1:42including where kaylee is right now that
1:45i still

1:47and here's absolutely listen to me

1:51a combined experience in this room we
1:53all have about 30 years of doing this
1:54okay both myself and sergeant john allen
1:57worked for
1:58the homicide division for several years
1:59we we've dealt with several people
2:01we've all we've conducted thousands of
2:03interviews between the three of us
2:04and athletes got 20 years so just
2:06between the three of us we've got
2:07several years
2:08and i can tell you for a certainty that
2:09right now looking at you i know that
2:12everything that you've told me is a lie
2:13including the fact that you know your
2:16travel was not seen about a month ago
2:18and that you don't know where she is see
2:20i i am very confident
2:22just by having talked to you the short
2:23period of time that you know where she
2:24is i don't
2:26you you do and here's the thing we need
2:27to get past that because
2:29we could sit here and go back and forth
2:30all day long about i don't i do i don't
2:32i do
2:33it's pretty obvious that with everything
2:35that you've told us nothing has been
2:37true
2:38you know where she is now my question to
2:40you is
2:41is this we need to find haley i
2:44understand that right now
2:46katie may not be in very good shape you
2:50understand what i'm saying
2:51she may not be the way we are the way
2:54your family last remembers her
2:56we need to find out from you where
2:58kaylee is
2:59this this this right now is just this is
3:02going so far downhill and this has
3:03become such a mess

3:10sure i knew in any sense where she was
3:13this wouldn't have happened at all

3:20caretaker or the nanny taking care of
3:22them it's not the truth because it went
3:24to the apartment complex there's no
3:25person that ever lived there by that
3:26name the apartment's been vacant since
3:28march
3:28the same apartment now the apartment
3:30that you pointed out to me the two-story
3:31apartment
3:32that's an old folks home it's right
3:33across the street from your
3:34ex-boyfriend's house who
3:35you never mentioned and you said you
3:37wrote the address down because it was
3:38across the street
3:39that's a lot because i've already talked
3:40to him and we've already been by the
3:42house and we've already you know
3:43looked at everything we need to look at
3:44over there everything you felt this is a
3:46lie
3:47well now there's a couple of ways that
3:49this goes right now
3:50we can you know we i've never met you
3:53before so i can look at you in one
3:54couple of ways
3:55i can look at you as a person who's
3:57scared who's concerned
3:59and who's kind of afraid of what's going
4:01to happen because of something bad that
4:02happened before
4:03or we can look at you as cold callous
4:07and a monster who doesn't care who's
4:09just trying to get away with something
4:10that that
4:11something bad that happened trying to
4:12cover it up it's going to be one of
4:14those two options
4:16now as for much of what i've already
4:18talked to you
4:19okay you seem like a very bright young
4:20lady you don't seem like someone who has
4:22no education
4:23all right now what we have to do is we
4:25have to determine which way is this
4:27going to go are you
4:28are you a person who who's scared about
4:30the consequences of what happened or are
4:32you scared about something that happened
4:34or are you are you really this cold
4:36callous person who doesn't care about
4:37what happened
4:38is it one of these two options i'm
4:40scared that i don't know where my
4:42daughter is
4:44i would not have put my entire face i
4:47want to ask you something
4:48yes sir like you said you you
4:51you you seem like a pretty bright person
4:52okay you're here willingly right you're
4:54here because you want
4:56you're here to try to help right oh
4:57absolutely your whole reason for talking
4:59to us
5:00is is to try to help right nobody's
5:02forced you to talk to us right
5:04you you once you want to you're here
5:06because you call them you want us to
5:08find your daughter right now let me let

5:52understand how long that sounds
5:54no no no no here's the problem with that
5:56though here's the problem that okay
5:58um you can carry the weight of this
6:01around for a long time it's not going to
6:02get any easier okay
6:04what he's trying to tell you right now
6:05i'm going to tell you you know
6:07in the amount of time that i've done
6:09this almost 30 years now okay
6:12i've learned this people make mistakes
6:15everybody makes mistakes
6:16we every all the three of us have all
6:18made some mistake
6:19mistakes in our lives we've done some
6:21things we're not proud of okay
6:23but then there comes a point in time you
6:25either own up to it you say you're sorry
6:27you try to get past it or you lie about
6:30it you bury it you lie about it you bury
6:32it you lie about it you
6:33and it just never ever ever ever ever
6:36goes away
6:37okay that's it okay now
6:40you know you know i want you to stop and
6:43think about what's going on here okay
6:48at this point we can explain
6:51that you're afraid you know that you
6:53were
6:54ashamed of maybe something bad that
6:56happened you're afraid maybe what
6:57happened
6:58but now that we're giving you this
6:59opportunity and you continue to lie and
7:00you continue to lie
7:02then what happens at some point it
7:03becomes there's no excuse there's no
7:06reason there's no
7:07reasonable a reasonable person to look
7:09at us and go
7:10wow this is a person who really just
7:12doesn't care
7:14okay i mean i mean i mean think about
7:16what we've done so far okay
7:18you say you call us because you want our
7:21help
7:21he wants to find your daughter okay i'm
7:24calling you and i'm asking you for help
7:25i'm asking you to help me find my child
7:28that's been gone now for a month okay
7:30and to help
7:31you help me find the child what i've
7:33done to this point
7:34is i've given you a bunch of bad
7:36addresses to go look at addresses and
7:37people that don't exist okay
7:39then i take you to a place where i tell
7:41you that i work okay
7:43and i walk you past the security gate
7:45okay all the way to my office
7:46that i don't have okay
7:50you started getting a picture or just is
7:52this
7:53do you understand where we're headed
7:54here i understand okay now
7:56you know you're but by hiding this
8:00by burying this okay you are not going
8:02to get yourself
8:03to a better place okay what you're going
8:06to do is you're going to cause
8:07everybody else around you to suffer okay
8:10and then at some point this is going to
8:12come out it always does
8:14it always comes out okay now
8:17your best bet is to try to put this
8:19behind you as quickly as you can
8:21go to your parents and tell them you
8:23know some horrible accident whatever
8:24happened happened
8:26get it out in the open now okay instead
8:28of letting them worry
8:29worry and worry and worry okay how old
8:31are you
8:32at some point okay you're gonna want to
8:36to mend things with your family okay you
8:39let this drag out for another three days
8:41another
8:42week another two weeks okay you make us
8:45solve this some other way we'll solve it
8:47we'll always do
8:48okay okay i mean there's no point in
8:52coming forward to say oh my god
8:54this is what really happened once we
8:56figured it out okay
8:58you ever had anybody do anything wrong
8:59to you everybody hurt you in any way
9:01okay let me ask you a question when
9:03somebody's hurt you in the past
9:05and they've come to you and said i'm
9:06sorry okay i really
9:08i'm from the bottom of my heart i'm
9:10sorry for what happened
9:12do you forgive them what about somebody
9:14that does something to you and then
9:15their lies
9:16and lies lies lies and lies
9:20you forgive them it's a lot harder to
9:22use sometimes
9:23a lot harder too from the last time
9:26somebody hurts you over and over
9:27and lets you suffer for a period of time
9:30and and lied about it then you caught
9:32them
9:32okay well one thing once you caught them
9:35that apology
9:36didn't mean a hell of a lot did it okay
9:38all right
9:39right now your best bet is to just get
9:42it out in the open
9:43whatever happened and tell us now okay
9:46so we can we can kind of start getting
9:47passes
9:48try to help you explain okay because
9:50keep in mind you're talking to people
9:52there's nothing you're going to tell any
9:53of the three of us that's going to
9:54surprise us okay
9:56i had to sit down with with with mothers
9:58who
9:59rolled over their babies accidentally
10:01i've had to sit down with
10:02mothers whose kids have drowned in
10:05swimming pools i've had to sit down with
10:07mothers
10:07who had boyfriends who beat their kids
10:09to death uh
10:10you know who felt horrible about what
10:13happened and
10:14then tried not to go to them and help
10:15them try to explain to their families
10:17okay and then i've also had to
10:21deal with people who have done horrible
10:24unspeakable things of children
10:26and then lied about it and lied about it
10:28and lied about it okay
10:30and i'll bet you somewhere in there i've
10:32probably dealt with somebody who maybe
10:33made a mistake
10:34but continued to lie about it maybe they
10:36weren't such a bad person
10:38but maybe the whole world didn't see it
10:39that way maybe their family didn't see
10:41it away because they kept lying
10:43lying and lying and lie about it and
10:44then when it finally came in and in
10:46months down the road or
10:47you know days down the road when they
10:48finally decided to come forward okay
10:50people were past it you've told me that
10:52you've lied to me for the last time i
10:53don't
10:54listen what you have to say don't talk
10:55anymore okay
10:57you know we've we've had to you know you
10:59know we've had to go into court and try
11:00to help people explain
11:02situations and we've got to go into
11:03court times and say you know
11:05the person just never said they kept
11:07lying to us and kept lying to us and
11:08lying to us and lying to us okay
11:10we're all human beings okay you tell me
11:14i mean you know you're a smart person
11:17figure it out okay
11:18so far well the only thing that we can
11:20say for sure
11:21at this point okay is that you have lied
11:25to him
11:26about all these things you brought us
11:28here
11:29okay all right i want you to look at
11:32this from an outsider's perspective
11:34somebody somewhere down the road we have
11:35to decide you know
11:37how this all plays out what would you do
11:40how would you see that person how do you
11:42see that person differently you might
11:44see somebody
11:44maybe a young mother who made a mistake
11:46and you know maybe initially was afraid
11:48to tell the truth but at some point came
11:50forward and said
11:50horrible thing happened i'm sorry i feel
11:53terrible about it
11:54but i have to tell you the horrible
11:57thing that happened and
11:58this is the honest to god's truth of
12:00everything that i've said
12:01i do not know where she is the last
12:04person that i saw her with
12:05is zenith she's the last person that
12:08i've seen my daughter with and see here
12:09here's the problem
12:11i think sergeant alex started out trying
12:12to get to this is that we we know that's
12:14not the truth you know listen
12:18we know that that's not true that can't
12:19be the truth because if that were the
12:21truth
12:21everything you would have told us would
12:22have been on the money the addresses you
12:25would have taken this would have been
12:26on the money everything else would have
12:27matched if you had told us the truth
12:30we wouldn't be here at universal studios
12:32at a place that you've been fired since
12:342006
12:35with you trying to explain to us you
12:37know you have an office and and all that
12:38stuff
12:39who wouldn't be here so we know and this
12:42is the part
12:42we need to get past we we already know
12:44that you're not telling us the truth
12:45that you know what happened to kaylee
12:46you know where kali is
12:48but here's here's here's what we're
12:49trying to get by is that there's
12:51you're one you fall into one of two
12:53categories and now i'm sure he explained
12:54it and i explained it is that
12:56if this is something that an accident
12:58that happened and and
12:59no matter how you think people are going
13:02to look at you they're going to look at
13:03you a lot worse
13:04if they show if you continue showing
13:06that you're callous or not caring
13:08and that you just show complete
13:10dispassion and disregard for human life
13:12or they can look at you as someone that
13:14you know what i can understand i'm a
13:15young mother
13:16or she's a young mother first child
13:19something horrible happened
13:20she's thinking oh my god my life isn't
13:22going good right now i already know my
13:23life is struggling people don't see me
13:25in that great of a light i know i got
13:26problems at home and i've got problems
13:28with friends i know i got problems with
13:29work or lack of work
13:30all of a sudden something bad happens to
13:32my child and people are going to think
13:33i'm just a devil
13:35see there's a difference between this
13:37person who makes a mistake and says
13:39listen
13:39i'm i'm sorry this is the reason i i
13:42lied to you this is the reason i was
13:43scared
13:44compared to the person who might sit
13:45here and say i have no idea what you're
13:47talking about
13:49there's a big difference there and i can
13:51tell you now that everything you've told
13:52me is a lot everything that you've told
13:54me this morning from from
13:55from zany from the addresses from
13:57universal from all these people that
13:59you've talked to
13:59including people that you never told me
14:01their names and i found them and talked
14:02to them
14:03you know everything that you told me
14:05this morning is a lie every single thing
14:07that there's one of two options right
14:09now
14:10you need to tell me the truth and we can
14:13work with that
14:14or if you continue down this path and
14:16continue lying i can tell you that when
14:17this this snowball gets at the bottom of
14:19the hill
14:20the only person that's going to get hurt
14:21in it is you
14:23that's not true a lot of people around
14:25you will get hurt
14:26your parents people are hurting right
14:28now and you know what one person put

15:01at that apartment those stairs oh you
15:04just walked
15:05you dropped me walked her to the stairs
15:07that's where i've dropped her off
15:09a bunch of other times besides just that
15:12day
15:12okay when you dropped her off you you
15:14took her at that point
15:16zanny did she took her you left her you
15:18left her
15:19in zany's care on june the ninth
15:22okay so far that's right okay
15:27you first call the police about this
15:30when your mother and father
15:32okay uh actually you don't call the
15:34police to report your daughter nelson
15:36what happens is your parents find their
15:38car that's been sold
15:40for man scott and your parents ask you
15:41where your daughter is and you tell your
15:43daughter or your parents
15:45you haven't seen your daughter for over
15:46a month right that's true okay so i
15:49haven't told anything
15:50so so far i've been saying it's not true
15:51okay that's true okay
15:53sounds that's true sounds reasonable to
15:55you correct okay
15:57when the police do get involved okay
15:59when you're when your parents involve
16:00the police
16:01in an attempt to locate your child
16:03because they're worried
16:05the first thing you do okay is you lie
16:08to the detective whose job it is to try
16:10to find your daughter
16:11and get her back into safe hands okay
16:13you give him all kinds of bad addresses
16:15to look at right
16:16okay so far i'm on track right okay then
16:20you bring us out to universal where you
16:22say you work
16:23in an office to try to help find stuff
16:26that will help us find your daughter

16:31we walk all the way down the hall
16:32to where you tell us you don't really
16:34work here you don't have an office here

16:37so far everything i've said is true
16:38correct okay
16:40that sounds real with you okay i'm
16:42telling you this story i'm saying to you

16:44i dropped my child off five weeks ago
16:48at the babysitter's house she's just
16:51disappeared
16:53no i didn't call the police and tell
16:54them
16:56matter of fact i made some attempts to
16:58locate her on my own
17:00but i didn't really get the police
17:01involved or you know
17:03do anything like that okay and oh by the
17:07way
17:07um i got my mom and dad's car towed
17:11and then when my parents asked me what
17:13happened to my daughter i told my i've
17:14seen her in five weeks
17:16so they call the police okay now what i
17:18did is i lied to the police when they
17:19got there okay
17:20i told them a whole bunch of crap that
17:21didn't true gave him a bunch of bad
17:23addresses to look at
17:24where i know my daughter's not there and
17:27i did all this to try to help find my
17:28daughter it makes sense to you right
17:30that makes sense to you it makes sense
17:33to you
17:34that i'm trying to help the police find
17:36my daughter by giving a bunch of bad
17:38addresses
17:39that make sense to you
17:42that's what i said yes no no i'm asking
17:44you that makes sense to you
17:46my partner my attempt to help him find
17:49my child okay
17:50what i've done to try to help him find
17:52my child is i've given a whole bunch of
17:54addresses to go to that
17:56are bad addresses that's what i did to
17:58help him try to find my child
17:59that makes sense to you i took him to
18:01the last place
18:02that i've seen my daughter besides that
18:04i took
18:05them to other places that i could okay
18:08when you brought us here

18:12your office that was supposed to help
18:14us how because everything we're doing
18:16here is about finding your daughter okay

18:21coming here

20:45it's been at least 10 months okay he got
20:48fired in 2002 he hasn't been an employee
20:50here since 2002.

20:59that's exactly what she had told me

21:07dead

22:01both of my parents have seen it because
22:03my parents know that i've worked here i

22:18here in this building because

28:31he moved up to north carolina for a
28:32short time
28:34and moved down to jacksonville within
28:37the last
28:37three months when was the last time he
28:39spoke with him
28:41about a week and a half ago okay you

28:51you mentioned something uh before we
28:53went on tape about your cell phones
28:55yes i have two phones i just received
28:58a new phone through work through

29:02um the phone won't keep charged so
29:05i use my old phone that i actually had
29:07gotten again through universal for work
29:09okay did you lose a phone
29:13yes was that your personal phone it was
29:14my personal phone but i also use it for
29:16business
29:16okay what's your what's the number for

29:29and then that phone you're saying was
29:30the sim card and the sim card had the
29:32content actually
29:32the sim card is in my nokia phone but i
29:35know there's numbers saved to the cell

29:37so if we get the actual phone i know i
29:40have
29:40one other number for xanada and
29:44probably a number for jeff besides work
29:46numbers and
29:48but they're not in your sim card they're
29:49not saved on the sim card they're saved
29:51on the phone i've been trying to figure
29:52out
29:52on that new phone how to save numbers
29:54from the phone to the sim card
29:56and switch them back and forth so that
29:58way i have everything
29:59all in one piece okay so the phone where
30:02you have the number saved
30:04was lost yes i filed an incident report
30:07but how did you end up keeping the sim
30:08card
30:09i had taken it out i know i left the
30:11phone on my desk i'd switch the sim card
30:13back to my old phone
30:14because this was the phone that actually
30:16would keep charge
30:17i want to be able to have a working
30:19phone instead of having a phone that
30:21would only
30:23stay charged for about a half hour and
30:25then it would die and i can't make any
30:26more calls
30:27it's for me after you switch the sim
30:30card is when the phone went
30:31i left it i know i left it on my desk
30:33and i hadn't been
30:35at work for at least three or four days
30:37he said he made the report to
30:38universal yes with security nine years

31:09half two years that she started watching

31:11i had another friend watch kaylee that i
31:14i've known since middle school when she
31:16went back to school
31:18i was looking for a new nanny jeff
31:20offered to have
31:21zenai to watch both kids she agreed and
31:24it kind of went from there
31:26before zenith started watching over your
31:28child who was a who was the nanny her
31:30name is lauren
31:32gibbs g-i-b-b-s and when did lauren stop
31:35watching
31:36uh your job
31:44maybe april of 2006.
31:49okay and right in april 2006 roughly as
31:52ones that i started watching over
31:54how would you normally drop off or how
31:55would you normally do the exchange with
31:57your challenge tonight would you drop
31:58the child off would she meet you
31:59somewhere
32:00i would usually drop her off for a few
32:02months
32:04we would go over to jeff's house he
32:05lived over in avalon park
32:08that was a couple years ago almost a
32:11couple years ago
32:12and you would go to joe's house why to
32:14drop off kaylie
32:16that's where zanaya would go to watch
32:17both of the kids okay it was in
32:19a nice centralized area he had a decent
32:22sized house
32:23it was good room for the two of them
32:25then i started bringing kaylee over to
32:27zanaya's apartment
32:28how long were you using or were you
32:30going to senator's apartment how
32:32when did you start taking haley
32:35um
32:38i guess maybe the end of 2006 beginning
32:40of 2007.
32:42so since the end of 2006 beginning of 07
32:46he started taking kayleigh to zaneta's
32:48house on sawgrass
32:50she had an apartment on
32:54i guess it's considered glenwood but
32:56it's off of bumby
32:57and robinson close to downtown
33:01she lived there for quite a few months
33:04and moved over to sawgrass just recently
33:07this year
33:10yeah the house on bumby do you remember
33:12the address remember where it's at
33:13i know it's off of glenwood i don't
33:15remember the
33:16apartment number offhand i do not
33:20and how long would you say you dropped
33:22the child off there from the beginning
33:23of
33:24end of oh six speaking about seven to
33:27um
33:32you got six seven months so maybe the
33:35middle of 2007.
33:38so she moved into sawgrass about the
33:39middle of 07.
33:41she's been at that apartment in sawgrass
33:44for about the last
33:45three or four months she'd lived with
33:47her mom for a little bit
33:49where's her mom live she lived off of
33:51michigan do you know where the house is
33:53um it's not a very well marked
33:57neighborhood
33:57it crosses just over a conway it's one
34:00of the big stretches of neighborhoods
34:01had you dropped the child off there
34:03before yes if you had to find the place
34:05would you be able to find
34:06it most likely yes i think i'd remember
34:08the house okay so she was living off of
34:10glenwood then moved into her mom's house
34:11somewhere off of michigan
34:13and then moved in and then saw grass so
34:15songwrister four months ago
34:16off of glenwood until mid-007
34:20in mom's house
34:24her mom wasn't living there at the time
34:26her mom had gotten
34:28another place with her sister
34:31but she was staying over at the house
34:34and moved in with
34:35the two girls that are referenced in the
34:37pages
34:39she was living with these two girls that
34:40saw grass yes okay
34:43go back to your statement you dropped
34:44off your uh you dropped off kaylee
34:46on june 9th and
34:50walk me through you dropped her off to
34:51go to work okay get off of work and
34:53go from there i got off of work
34:57left universal driving back to pick up
34:59kaylee like a normal day and i show up
35:02to the apartment
35:03knock on the door nobody answers so
35:07he calls another cell phone and it's out
35:10of service
35:12it says that the no the phone is no
35:13longer in service excuse me
35:16so i sit down on the steps and wait for
35:19a little bit
35:20to see if maybe it was just a fluke if
35:23something happened
35:25and time passed
35:28i didn't hear from anyone no one showed
35:30up to the house so i went
35:32over to jay blanchard park and checked a
35:34couple other places where
35:35maybe possibly they would have gone a
35:37couple stores
35:39just regular places that i noticed in
35:41either shops at and she's taking kaylee
35:44before and
35:47after about seven o'clock when i still
35:49hadn't heard anything
35:51i was getting pretty upset pretty
35:53frantic and i went to
35:55a neutral place
35:58didn't really want to come home i wasn't
35:59sure what i'd say about not knowing
36:01where kaylee was
36:02still hoping that i would get a call or
36:05you know find out that kaylee was coming
36:07back so that i could go get her
36:09and i ended up going to my boyfriend
36:12anthony's house
36:13who lives in a sutton place
36:17did you talk to anthony about what
36:20happened with kelly
36:21no i didn't know had anything ever seen
36:22kaylee before yes he had
36:28can you talk to anyone about kaylee
36:31about aaron silva kelly
36:32or about that she's missing a couple
36:35people
36:35a couple mutual friends who did you talk
36:37to about um i talked to

36:42i also attempted to contact
36:46zenitha's mother and never received a
36:48call back from her
36:49he knows that i was his mother's name um

37:00you know telephone frozen at his mom i
37:02do not know do you have any of these
37:03numbers protein into your sim card that

37:05kept into your other phone no i do not
37:08how long did you have this old phone
37:11i've had the nokia for
37:14almost a full year okay so after a full
37:17year of dealing with zenita and having a
37:18babysit
37:19and you don't push numbers back and
37:20forth so neither's number has changed a
37:22couple different times she switched
37:24services between
37:25having sprint and having 18 t or
37:28singular
37:29what about jeffrey you've known him for
37:30at least four years
37:32his numbers changed a couple different
37:33times from when he moved from orlando
37:36up to north carolina and back down to
37:38jacksonville
37:39i know i do have a current number for
37:41him
37:42how would you get that number if we can
37:45find that other phone or i might have it
37:47online i may be able to access it off
37:50the internet

37:59she's one of my co-workers at universal

39:11heard about my nanny or talked to her

39:17the only two people that i specifically
39:19told
39:20were jeff and juliet and you don't have
39:22a number for juliet
39:26not off hand no i do not it's on your
39:28phone
39:29it might be online it's definitely
39:31online i know it's on one of our old
39:33worksheets
39:34um her old number which could still be
39:37active
39:37i'm not sure if it is but i know she
39:39does have a new number which i just
39:40programmed
39:41into that when was the last time you
39:43talked to julia
39:46about three weeks ago shortly after this
39:48happened
39:49so you talked to her after she left
39:59what's the reason uh i asked you this
40:00before i ask you to show the record
40:02what's the reason you didn't call the
40:03police before

40:06grandparents or your parents
40:08asked you about the child and they were
40:10concerned didn't get an answer to where

40:19think that i could handle this myself

40:26i was scared that something would happen
40:27to her if i did notify
40:29the authorities or got the media
40:31involved or my parents which i know

40:37the fear of the unknown fear of the
40:39potential of
40:41kaley getting hurt of not seeing my
40:43daughter again
40:45actually i actually said beyonce before
40:47we went on tape and i'll ask you again
40:49just to make sure we're clear
40:52is there anything about this story that
40:53you're telling me it is untrue or is
40:55there anything that you want to change
40:56or divert from what you've already told
40:58me
40:58no sir um did you cause an andrew to
41:01your child
41:01kaylee no sir did you hurt kaylee or
41:04leave her somewhere and you're worried
41:05that
41:05if we find that out that people don't
41:07look at you a wrong way no sir

41:12child without your permission
41:13hasn't returned the last person that
41:15i've seen with my daughter yes
41:17where did zaneta does she have another
41:19job besides watching children
41:21she has the seasonal id for universal
41:25however the only job that i know that
41:27she's had
41:28for the last few years she's been a
41:29nanny
41:31so seasonal employee at universal
41:37when was the last time she worked at
41:38universal do you know i have no idea
41:46does uh kelly take any medications she
41:48had suffered from any conditions any
41:50mental conditions that we need to know
41:51not at all um
41:56it was brought up before about taking
41:58some money from some people
42:00and i want to make sure i get it on tape
42:01uh do you have any problems with drugs
42:03or narcotics either prescription
42:05products or drugs cocaine ecstasy
42:07meth anything like that have you ever
42:09been um
42:10have you ever been ever been committed
42:12for thoughts of suicide have you ever
42:14been on lakeside anything like that

42:18is there any underlying cause too why is
42:21an idol of taking your job
42:23no nothing that should make any
42:25statements to you
42:26about only how much she loves kaylee and
42:28how great of a kid she is
42:31and have you talked and when you talk to
42:32jeffrey afterwards i'm assuming that
42:34jeffrey's child is still with him
42:36his child is still with him okay he said
42:38tonight i had family up in
42:40new england up in new york yes she has
42:42family
42:43down south her mother and her sister her
42:46brother's
42:47in new york she's originally from new
42:49york and where's down south
42:51um miami area where she originally from
42:55new york oh she born and raised in new
42:59york she had family outside of the
43:00country or
43:01i don't know as far as i know she pretty
43:04much grew up there
43:05moved down here went to the university
43:06of florida she puerto rican is dominican
43:09is she white
43:09she's mixed she's black and puerto rican
43:15and you know what her birthday is or
43:17what her birthday is since september
43:19that's all i can remember at the moment
43:25if um when we finish this if you
43:28would you'd be willing to drive with me
43:30to show me where her mom is and the
43:32apartment that you used to drop her off
43:33at

44:04like a small little beauty mark
44:09nobody else
