19. 0:53federal agent oh really you're driving
20. 0:55like that around here get your ass in my
21. 0:56car yeah we figured going through the
22. 0:59airports restricted airspace so they
23. 1:01can't
24. 1:02really can't ruin we thought that the
25. 1:04cars that were following us from my
26. 1:05attorney's office or media because there
27. 1:07was a media band that followed us and
28. 1:09another band that went with them so
29. 1:10we're thinking oh [ __ ] here we go
30. 1:13it's happened before it happens every
31. 1:16day
32. 1:18I'd like to make it stop happening to be
33. 1:20honest with you I would too
34. 1:25well
35. 1:26you know what I'll say today
36. 1:31I said it to your mom I've said it to
37. 1:33your dad I said it to your brother even
38. 1:42well that was one thing that they all
39. 1:43agreed upon was the fact that you've
40. 1:46extended you know your hand to help most
41. 1:49people have it

43. 1:54I was afraid that some of what I said to
44. 1:56them
45. 1:57probably offended them because I told
46. 1:58them that
47. 1:59if I find out something that you don't
48. 2:01want to hear I'm going to tell you
49. 2:03anyone it's not honestly they'll respect
50. 2:05that that's just you know the type of
51. 2:08people that they are in the same way
52. 2:10I know I know they are
53. 2:14when I end up on certain things they
54. 2:16don't want to hear and I understand that
55. 2:18yeah well it doesn't mean I'm gonna say
56. 2:20exactly when you have different beliefs
57. 2:22in somebody it is hard sometimes to hear
58. 2:24their opinion that's true that doesn't
59. 2:26mean that they don't respect your
60. 2:27opinion or the fact that you're coming
61. 2:29forward with what you think or what you
62. 2:31feel so
63. 2:33but to some extent it's comforting to
64. 2:36hear you say that because
65. 2:37it was never my intention to piss
66. 2:39anybody in your family off you know I'm
67. 2:41not in it to get a conviction I get
68. 2:42nothing out of it I get zero exactly you
69. 2:45have a job you're trying to do I found a
70. 2:48few and I
71. 2:49found a few and it sucks both ways yeah

73. 2:56it is what it is
74. 3:01where I get sideways sideways with
75. 3:04people
76. 3:05tends to be when attorneys get involved
77. 3:08I've heard most people say that they
78. 3:09don't like attorneys very much I have
79. 3:11many family members that are attorneys I
80. 3:13have no problems with attorneys
81. 3:15the problems with are at some point
82. 3:18we have to satisfy
83. 3:23and you know what so be it that's why I
84. 3:25told you in the car
85. 3:27you know if you tell me anything now
86. 3:28yeah I'll get up and say yep I heard it
87. 3:31and she's already invoked and we can't
88. 3:33use any of it
89. 3:35that's just the way it is that's all
90. 3:36that matters to me yeah and uh
91. 3:39you know
92. 3:40when we did did another case that I was
93. 3:43involved in
94. 3:45you know they lost a confession
95. 3:47and I sat there and I looked right at
96. 3:48the guys that we worked with I said
97. 3:49that's not what's important who cares
98. 3:51yeah we found her
99. 3:54we found her and he's going to get what
100. 3:55has come to him that's not my job you
101. 3:58know and and it works out in the end
102. 4:01and it works out in the end on all sides
103. 4:03to be honest with you it may not be
104. 4:06comfortable
105. 4:07for everybody yeah and there's I've done
106. 4:09things that I get caught for you're not
107. 4:12going to be comfortable I can tell you
108. 4:13that it's just the way life is
109. 4:16you know but it's not the end of the
110. 4:18road either
111. 4:19and that's what we have to keep in mind
112. 4:20it's not the end of the road
113. 4:23you know
114. 4:26just a random question
115. 4:28um are there cameras in all of the rooms
116. 4:29some freaking clue I've never been in
117. 4:32this part of the building my guess would
118. 4:34be yes

126. 4:53with melich and I forget who else in the
127. 4:55big interviews that were released to the
128. 4:57media and she was infuriated
129. 5:00you would think that that's something
130. 5:01that you know you should be told but you
131. 5:04don't have to be right
132. 5:07the law is the law yeah yeah and I will
133. 5:09play Within the rules of law okay
134. 5:12if it's a tool that's available to me
135. 5:14that I can use later to look back on it
136. 5:16see if I miss something or could I have
137. 5:18done something better
138. 5:19I'm going to take advantage of it yeah
139. 5:21exactly I would assume that this place
140. 5:22probably has one somewhere apparently
141. 5:25something that records audio so either
142. 5:27way

147. 5:40see my interviews with them those
148. 5:41haven't been released yet but they were
149. 5:43on video
150. 5:44well that's just part of the discoveries

154. 5:54I have loyalty to one person in every
155. 5:55one of these cases and it doesn't happen
156. 5:57to be anybody on the interview initially
157. 5:59understandable it's not a it's not a
158. 6:01slide on them
159. 6:06in many different positions
160. 6:10none of which are comfortable and those
161. 6:12things always get in the way that you
162. 6:13have on your brain on your hands

164. 6:17such are the rules that we work under
165. 6:18yeah

167. 6:23um I know this is a question that a lot
168. 6:25of people have asked the grand jury and
169. 6:27all that supposed to be secret but it
170. 6:29was released to the media right off the
171. 6:31bat my dad hadn't even been subpoenaed
172. 6:33and that was released
173. 6:37so I just think a lot of that's kind of
174. 6:38funny and the fact that they invited the
175. 6:40media in when they were releasing the
176. 6:42decision my mom had received a text
177. 6:44message from
178. 6:50we're thinking are you serious
179. 6:54there are
180. 6:56rules
181. 6:58I am quite sure
182. 7:01that one of the rules that was followed
183. 7:03was that when the decision to indict has
184. 7:06been made
185. 7:07um
186. 7:09that part of it is public yeah that
187. 7:11part's public and they can let the money
188. 7:12into the courtroom at that point yeah
189. 7:15I bet
190. 7:16this is just my bet I don't know what
191. 7:18the Florida rules are I have more
192. 7:19Federal stuff familiar with that yeah
193. 7:21but what I bet is that it was done under
194. 7:23seal and there were no names and no
195. 7:25official charges probably read aloud it
196. 7:28probably just was there's been a
197. 7:29diversity in the case
198. 7:30and that's it well when the media was
199. 7:32out there all day and they knew about
200. 7:34this a week ago that it was going to
201. 7:36happen but
202. 7:38kind of funny
203. 7:41and everything happens the happenings
204. 7:44are secret what takes place within the
205. 7:47room is secret yeah but as far as when
206. 7:50it actually is convened and you know
207. 7:51pulled together the witnesses and stuff
208. 7:53like that that's not also supposed to be
209. 7:54secret it depends on how they're
210. 7:56subpoenaed okay
211. 7:58if you're submitted under a regular
212. 7:59court order
213. 8:01his attorney so I'm not quite sure how
214. 8:03that came through yeah but if the
215. 8:05subpoena itself is just a regular person
216. 8:07that's public records yeah it doesn't
217. 8:10say what it's for it doesn't say what
218. 8:11case it's in it doesn't it just says
219. 8:13you're subpoenaed to appear before the
220. 8:14grand jury well with them announcing
221. 8:16that you know there's going to be a
222. 8:17Grandeur and obviously mining was thrown
223. 8:19out they knew who the grand jury was for
224. 8:23who threw your name out
225. 8:26um the media said that it was from an
226. 8:28inside source meeting in here
227. 8:31so that's where they all say it I can
228. 8:34tell you what I think is what I think of
229. 8:36people who leads up to the media I think
230. 8:38it's garbage yeah I agree
231. 8:41that doesn't make it any
232. 8:46less necessary
233. 8:48without them
234. 8:51I'll be quite honest without the media
235. 8:52we don't find a quarter of the kids that
236. 8:55we oh I think it helps the exposure has
237. 8:57helped bring in so many tips for my
238. 8:59daughter but at the same time whatever
239. 9:02what it creates is it creates a monster
240. 9:04that otherwise isn't necessary exactly
241. 9:06the tips are what the tips are
242. 9:09if it was a local media only
243. 9:12it would be much easier to work yeah
244. 9:14when you make it to National media then
245. 9:16you come up you get the Nancy Grace's
246. 9:18people get the tips also that come from
247. 9:21Hawaii that say I saw Kaylee
248. 9:24oh really
249. 9:25okay let me call the light and let me

251. 9:29those are what I consider local because
252. 9:32the local explanations are going to
253. 9:34cover that yeah it's continuous to the
254. 9:36State of Florida it's not when people
255. 9:37are only getting their information from
256. 9:39the Nancy Grace's or from Globe magazine
257. 9:42or people or you know stuff like that
258. 9:43are you kidding me well
259. 9:46I could say you will not see me trying
260. 9:48to be interviewed by yeah like people
261. 9:51are blow over anybody else once again

387. 16:49provide testimony to indict you to at
388. 16:51least
389. 16:52he's struggling with that yeah
390. 16:54and uh
391. 16:56and I felt bad if I want to be honest
392. 16:57with you I truly did well I haven't told
393. 16:59him last night I know he was subpoenaed
394. 17:01and under the law he had to answer
395. 17:03whatever questions were asked him I told
396. 17:05him to do what he had to do at that
397. 17:07point if he didn't he'd be held in
398. 17:09contempt of court
399. 17:11I don't want to see that happen so what
400. 17:13did he say
401. 17:14he just hugged me and told me that he
402. 17:16loved me and you know he was struggling
403. 17:18with it even last night so I think it
404. 17:20was probably emotional this morning yeah
405. 17:22I could see that with the little bit
406. 17:24that I saw from the media from the
407. 17:26pictures and
408. 17:28um the little bit of footage that they
409. 17:29have so you guys watching on TV now we
410. 17:32watched all of mine a little bit earlier

413. 17:37as possible at least with the internet I
414. 17:38can scroll through read what I want and
415. 17:40then just get rid of it that much faster
416. 17:42so
417. 17:47um I have been I mean this is something
418. 17:50honestly you've been preparing for from
419. 17:51the beginning just because of words that
420. 17:53were directly spoken from
421. 17:56Yuri knowledge and also from
422. 17:58Sergeant Allen they were saying that
423. 18:00this is what they were planning on doing
424. 18:02from the very beginning from that first
425. 18:04day so they wrote me off within the
426. 18:06first couple hours so I don't know if
427. 18:09that's true that was the direct words
428. 18:12that they pretty much gave to myself and
429. 18:14even they said that to my parents so I
430. 18:17mean I'm not trying to say something
431. 18:19derogatory towards someone but yeah okay
432. 18:22or just we're just talking okay we're
433. 18:25just chatting
434. 18:26so that was the only time we ever made
435. 18:28any effort to try to talk to me
436. 18:29one-on-one and no it's kind of difficult
437. 18:32it was kind of difficult considering
438. 18:34considering um obviously in light of
439. 18:36everything that's going on you've been
440. 18:38arrested for other things
441. 18:39makes it a little more difficult to sit
442. 18:42down and even talk to you it's not that
443. 18:44we haven't wanted to yeah pleasure I do
444. 18:46have counsel and that's something that
445. 18:49you know my attorney's always been a
446. 18:50phone call away
447. 18:51and it shouldn't have taken it getting
448. 18:53to this point you know three months in
449. 18:55first has your attorney ever told you
450. 18:58that we would like to speak to you and
451. 18:59we had agreed him and I together that we
452. 19:02would all sit down together him and I
453. 19:04and you guys and you know we entertain
454. 19:07whatever questions you have and
455. 19:09discussions
456. 19:13obviously we can't come to you and
457. 19:15yeah I understandably
458. 19:17I thought that you were aware that if
459. 19:19you wanted to talk to anybody that all
460. 19:22you got to do is simply ask yeah well
461. 19:25I know it goes both ways on that and I
462. 19:28guess it would have needed to come from
463. 19:29me I should have been the one to
464. 19:32I guess come forward with it but you
465. 19:34know we did open up that door to law
466. 19:37enforcement before when Sergeant Allen
467. 19:39was making a big deal saying well we
468. 19:41want to talk to her when can we talk to
469. 19:43her he's saying hold the doors open
470. 19:45I don't believe he ever told us the door
471. 19:48is open I mean well maybe not to you
472. 19:50directly but I know to Sergeant Allen I
473. 19:52was sitting there even one of the times
474. 19:53that he spoke with him
475. 19:55so I've heard the words come out of his
476. 19:57mouth even myself directed two other
477. 20:00people
478. 20:01that maybe didn't either relay the
479. 20:04message or took it a different way so I
480. 20:06don't know
481. 20:07I think the lack of communication has
482. 20:09put people in
483. 20:11opposite Corners when everybody has the
484. 20:15same goal is to find Kaylee
485. 20:17do you think the matter could have been
486. 20:19resolved a little differently
487. 20:21you think America and then resolved a
488. 20:23little differently
489. 20:24absolutely and a lot of different
490. 20:26aspects
491. 20:27and that's a conversation that I've had
492. 20:29not only with my attorney but
493. 20:32family
494. 20:33so I mean we all still feel I as a mom I
495. 20:38know in my gut there's the feeling is
496. 20:40apparent you know certain things about
497. 20:42your child you can feel that connection
498. 20:44and
499. 20:46I still have that feeling that presence
500. 20:49I know that she's alive
501. 20:51whether
502. 20:52you have a bucket load of evidence
503. 20:54downstairs that contradicts that and
504. 20:57says otherwise or
505. 20:58all you have is speculation
506. 21:01or or nothing at all I mean whatever it
507. 21:05is if there's still that chance with all
508. 21:06these tips that have come through I know
509. 21:07that it's been
510. 21:15I know that a lot of that is credited
511. 21:17but
512. 21:18and
513. 21:20as ever you know we had more than
514. 21:22speculation there's every tip in every
515. 21:24week followed up exactly yeah
516. 21:32a lot
517. 21:35oh and I said I said the same thing to
518. 21:38them that you know they said the word at
519. 21:39the end of a hallway and I'm thinking
520. 21:40we're done in the hallway and there's
