  9. 0:15It's a thank you card for letting me on the team.
  10. 0:18Oh!
  11. 0:20We are holding an open audition.
  12. 0:22We found a girl.
  13. 0:24Hello.
  14. 0:26Let me hear it for Candy Apples.
  15. 0:27Are we going to win?
  16. 0:28ALL: Yeah!
  17. 0:30ABBY LEE: Coming up on "Dance Moms."
  18. 0:31Do not embarrass me with Cathy.
  19. 0:33Do not embarrass me in New York.
  20. 0:35- Christi-- - Yes, I'm speaking.
  21. 0:36Look at me when you talk. Look at me when you talk.
  22. 0:38Excuse me?
  23. 0:39I'm looking you in the eye, bitch.
  24. 0:41ANTHONY: Step out of my face.
  25. 0:42You want to see me in your face?
  26. 0:44Tell her to ignore me because I don't say nothing to her.
  27. 0:47I'll kick you right in the [bleep]..
  28. 0:49KELLY: Paige?
  29. 0:50I didn't want my daughter being humiliated.
  30. 0:53And instead of it going away, she
  31. 0:55did it in front of an entire [bleep] live audience.
  32. 1:01THEME SONG: Get up, get on the floor.
  33. 1:05My world is with my girls, Livin' on the dance floor.
  34. 1:18Step back.
  35. 1:18[inaudible] should back up.
  36. 1:20Then the turns.
  37. 1:21Who backed up?
  38. 1:22This week, we're here in New York City
  39. 1:24and "The View" was amazing, but now I
  40. 1:27got to get back to business.
  41. 1:28We are attending the Masters of Dance,
  42. 1:32and I know that Cathy's going to be there,
  43. 1:34and she's gunning for our heads.
  44. 1:37I have solos going, plus a very controversial group number.
  45. 1:42Everybody is in the group routine.
  46. 1:44Asia, you will be performing a solo.
  47. 1:47[applause]
  48. 1:48I have another solo going to Chloe.
  49. 1:50[applause]
  50. 1:52Maddie, you will also be doing a solo.
  51. 1:55All right, listen up, girls.
  52. 1:56This is the way it's gonna go.
  53. 1:57"The View" today, although spectacular,
  54. 2:01took up a lot of our good time.
  55. 2:03So I'm gonna start with the solos.
  56. 2:06I need everybody to have their head on straight and ready
  57. 2:09for this competition.
  58. 2:17CHLOE: This week, I have a solo called "My Obsession,"
  59. 2:20and Miss Abby said it's kind of contemporary, kind of jazz
  60. 2:23a little bit.
  61. 2:25And she said the story is am I obsessed
  62. 2:27with winning, am I obsessed with dancing, am I obsessed--
  63. 2:31Like, what am I obsessed with?
  64. 2:32And what is your obsession?
  65. 2:34With dancing and trying my hardest and never giving up.
  66. 2:40CHRISTI: So, KRISTIE, how are you feeling after "The View?"
  67. 2:44The same.
  68. 2:45[laughs]
  69. 2:47Who's gonna be in the dance?
  70. 2:48ABBY LEE: You are gonna do the number.
  71. 2:51I don't know.
  72. 2:52I just think, you--
  73. 2:53You know what?
  74. 2:54You're the first to say I go from 0 to 60.
  75. 2:56And you're like, "Oh, well, whatever."
  76. 2:57KRISTIE: You know why?
  77. 2:59I expected more of a fiery reaction out of you.
  78. 3:00You know, I probably would have been more fiery if I
  79. 3:02didn't read it before it came.
  80. 3:05All right, that's hones.
  81. 3:06JILL: I think everybody kind of read it before you came.
  82. 3:08Oh, you did?
  83. 3:10The way it played out, it's like, I already knew, and so--
  84. 3:13CHRISTI: No, but don't you feel like a pawn?
  85. 3:14Like, that would make me mad. - Well, I-- That's what I said.
  86. 3:16I said I'm over the charade.
  87. 3:17See, if I had a kid that couldn't understand
  88. 3:21or wasn't mature enough to just whatever.
  89. 3:24It's like an audition.
  90. 3:25She's been in enough times, in auditions where that's
  91. 3:29why it doesn't affect her and she's not as sensitive to it.
  92. 3:31These moms today, you know, treated Asia and I as like,
  93. 3:34an outsider, and they didn't want Asia to dance.
  94. 3:37And you know what?
  95. 3:38I'm not intimidated.
  96. 3:39We're here to stay, and I've dealt
  97. 3:41with more difficult situations than Asia
  98. 3:43not being on that "View" stage.
  99. 3:49CATHY: OK, guys.
  100. 3:55So the group dance is going to be like the Day of the Dead
  101. 3:59and it's a celebration, even though death--
  102. 4:03which is not so much a celebration-- is going on.
  103. 4:06This drives me insane.
  104. 4:08What is-- is this--?
  105. 4:09Do you want it to be a fist?
  106. 4:10ANTHONY: A fist.
  107. 4:11This is not a fist, boys.
  108. 4:13This, to me, is weak, weak.
  109. 4:16Today is about nitpicking.
  110. 4:18Anthony is gonna get-- he's gonna get fired up today,
  111. 4:21because this number has so much potential.
  112. 4:24It's the love that's making us feel this way.
  113. 4:26This is all about making you amazing!
  114. 4:29ANTHONY: Foom, here, you chassé.
  115. 4:30Foom. No.
  116. 4:31CATHY: Big chassé.
  117. 4:32No, It's too small.
  118. 4:33You're like--
  119. 4:33CATHY: Big chassé.
  120. 4:34You have to from here.
  121. 4:35Look, let's go back down.
  122. 4:37Chassé.
  123. 4:38And then, look.
  124. 4:39This all-- Look at my--
  125. 4:42You have to watch and pay attention to detail.
  126. 4:44You stop and do everything way too fast.
  127. 4:47CATHY: Victoria seems like she's a pretty well-rounded dancer.
  128. 4:51She takes corrections very well.
  129. 4:53She is not shirking or shunning to Anthony's sometimes brutal
  130. 4:59coaching.
  131. 5:00She's absolutely beautiful and she is completely
  132. 5:02portraying the role that we want her to for this group number.
  133. 5:12ABBY LEE: All right, listen to me.
  134. 5:14What I'm telling you about this number,
  135. 5:16it needs to make people feel something.
  136. 5:19And if you're not feeling it, they're not gonna feel it.
  137. 5:22If we tell a story, if those judges are in tears, Maddie,
  138. 5:26we need to make them feel something.
  139. 5:28And you don't know in who's life out there that's happened.
  140. 5:33The group number this week is called "Runaways."
  141. 5:36Lots of privileged children run away from home.
  142. 5:39It's a problem in society today.
  143. 5:41I feel this is getting the judges to feel something.
  144. 5:44Getting our audience to be moved in some way.
  145. 5:47If I can do it in an artistic way, in a respectful way,
  146. 5:50but I can make the judges see something and feel something
  147. 5:53and learn something, why not take the opportunity?
  148. 5:56Here.
  149. 5:59You're hand, and you look to them for help.
  150. 6:02Look to her for help.
  151. 6:04Uh-uh, turn your back on her.
  152. 6:06CHRISTI: Does anybody here--
  153. 6:07I know the answer used to be do we think Cathy's a threat,
  154. 6:10and it was always no.
  155. 6:12But now that she has these boys, and they beat us,
  156. 6:14do you think she's a threat? JILL: I do.
  157. 6:15I don't think Cathy's a threat.
  158. 6:16I think the boys are a threat.
  159. 6:18And it has been shown with a good choreographer, not Cathy,
  160. 6:21to beat our kids.
  161. 6:22So, yes, her boys--
  162. 6:24her team is a threat.
  163. 6:25She is no threat.
  164. 6:26It's temporary.
  165. 6:27I think the group that she had that danced and got the 300,
  166. 6:30I think that group is amazing and it's threatening.
  167. 6:32Right.
  168. 6:33But that number would not have been the same
  169. 6:36without Geno and with Jalen coming in and spinning
  170. 6:39on his head.
  171. 6:40Will spin for food, or, dance or whatever.
  172. 6:42Spinning on the head, I don't see him fitting in.
  173. 6:44Can he be put into a contemporary routine and it
  174. 6:47be just as good?
  175. 6:48No, I don't think so.
  176. 6:49Mm-mm.
  177. 6:51You're looking at your hands, like, I did this.
  178. 6:53Like, wipe your and take your hands and be, like.
  179. 6:58And then you are, like, take your hands
  180. 7:01and push them away from me, like, "get away."
  181. 7:04Go.
  182. 7:05Whack!
  183. 7:07Down, start to roll in pain, agony, and look at her like,
  184. 7:11help me.
  185. 7:12And you push her hands back.
  186. 7:14No, no, , no no, no.
  187. 7:20Yeah.
  188. 7:21JILL: She's the bad girl.
  189. 7:22Hey, it's a role.
  190. 7:23I don't care.
  191. 7:25I don't care, it's a role.
  192. 7:27You got to act, you got to act.
  193. 7:29Oh, I don't know.
  194. 7:30It's a little bit sensitive, wouldn't you say?
  195. 7:32No, but I-- you know what, I don't think that way.
  196. 7:34If she walks or Abby kicks her out, then that's on her.
  197. 7:37My kid has a voice.
  198. 7:38She can raise her-- she can speak for herself.
  199. 7:41But she's seven.
  200. 7:42She hasn't cried yet about the [bleep] that's been going on.
  201. 7:45But wait a minute.
  202. 7:46You just said that your kid doesn't cry.
  203. 7:47I think that it was put it out that she cried twice
  204. 7:49since she's been here, KRISTIE.
  205. 7:51When?
  206. 7:52Name one, about a dance.
  207. 7:53- Yeah, it was about a dance. - What about?
  208. 7:55What? - About the duet.
  209. 7:56No, she didn't cry after the duet.
  210. 7:58- Yes, she did. - I thought she did.
  211. 8:00KRISTIE: No, she didn't. - Holly?
  212. 8:01Apparently with Kristie, you can take away her daughter's
  213. 8:04role in dancing on a national television talk show,
  214. 8:07but don't you dare say that she cries.
  215. 8:09I think Jill saw her when she came out.
  216. 8:10Really?
  217. 8:11Really, Kristie.
  218. 8:12You can sit there and say, "Really, Jill?
  219. 8:14Really? Really?
  220. 8:15Yes! - Back up.
  221. 8:16No.
  222. 8:17After you ran in and saved her--
  223. 8:18Uh-huh?
  224. 8:19She said, "Oh, I was crying because I felt sad for Nia."
  225. 8:21No, no, she was not crying.
  226. 8:23She was crying, just face it.
  227. 8:24Don't sugarcoat it, Kristie.
  228. 8:26Don't put me in the same boat as you.
  229. 8:28My daughter wears her heart out on her sleeve.
  230. 8:31She doesn't have to go in the bathroom to cry--
  231. 8:33She didn't.
  232. 8:34--and pretend she didn't.
  233. 8:35Asia felt bad that Nia got yelled at.
  234. 8:38You just said Asia has a hard shell; she doesn't cry.
  235. 8:41She cries. - Give up.
  236. 8:42Give up.
  237. 8:43You're not getting to me.
  238. 8:44I'm not gonna give up because I was there.
  239. 8:46Give it up.
  240. 8:47You're raising your voice.
  241. 8:48I don't care.
  242. 8:49You're the one that says it never will happen.
  243. 8:51It already happened. - I didn't say never.
  244. 8:53I did not say never.
  245. 8:54I said that my daughter's strong enough to handle it.
  246. 8:57OK, she didn't handle it the other night.
  247. 8:59So get it straight and don't get it twisted.
  248. 9:00And get your facts--
  249. 9:01It's not twisted.
  250. 9:02KRISTIE: Get your facts right.
  251. 9:03Get your facts right, Jill.
  252. 9:05I don't mind if my child cries, she's seven.
  253. 9:08she can cry all day [bleep] long.
  254. 9:10So [bleep] what?
  255. 9:11Who cares?
  256. 9:25MELISSA: So we're taking the kids ice-skating today,
  257. 9:28something fun for the kids.
  258. 9:31I don't think this is the best thing to do before a dance
  259. 9:34competition because Abby's going to freak out if she finds out.
  260. 9:37JILL: Here, here, here.
  261. 9:38Here's a two.
  262. 9:39Who's a two? MELISSA: That's Maddie.
  263. 9:40GIRL: Maddie.
  264. 9:41MELISSA: Maddie, put your skates on.
  265. 9:45I am your mother.
  266. 9:46Put your skates on.
  267. 9:48Do you know what this is about, Maddie?
  268. 9:49It's about fun.
  269. 9:50Have fun.
  270. 9:51Stop crying.
  271. 9:52CHRISTI: Maddie didn't want to ice-skate because she needs
  272. 9:55to be the best at everything she does.
  273. 9:57And clearly, she's not an Olympic gold medalist in figure
  274. 10:00skating, so she didn't want to skate.
  275. 10:04KENDALL: Asia, Asia, why aren't you going?
  276. 10:07KENDALL: Why? KRISTIE: OK.
  277. 10:09She's not allowed to. KENDALL: Why?
  278. 10:10KRISTIE: 'Cause she can't be hurt.
  279. 10:12CHRISTI: Well, nobody can be hurt.
  280. 10:13Well, I know.
  281. 10:14She's not going to do it.
  282. 10:16She knows why.
  283. 10:18Well, it's up to you.
  284. 10:19You let your kid skate if they want to.
  285. 10:24I'm not playing their game.
  286. 10:26I'm not playing their [bleep] game.
  287. 10:27You're not skating.
  288. 10:30Asia, you know why you can't skate.
  289. 10:33JILL: She was an ice-skater, for God's sake.
  290. 10:35MELISSA: I don't know why it's so important for Kristie
  291. 10:38to tell us that Asia never cries.
  292. 10:40Here's some tears now for Asia.
  293. 10:42I thought she didn't cry.
  294. 10:43MELISSA: Here, we have to hold hands.
  295. 10:44Oh, I'm not holding your hand, you're gonna pull me down.
  296. 10:47KELLY: [screams] Hold on!
  297. 10:48Aah!
  298. 10:49[bleep]
  299. 10:51Come on, I'll hold your hand, Maddie.
  300. 10:52JILL: Chloe, I can turn like you!
  301. 10:54MELISSA: Are you staying on the wall the whole time?
  302. 10:56Yeah. MELISSA: I think that's good.
  303. 10:58[laughs]
  304. 10:59Stand up!
  305. 11:00Come on.
  306. 11:01Hey, You're not gonna fall on the ice.
  307. 11:04MELISSA: I'm sorry, Your Highness.
  308. 11:05KELLY: Oh, right into the wall!
  309. 11:09[music playing]
  310. 11:18ANTHONY: Seven, eight.
  311. 11:19One, two, foom, foom, fah, hoom.
  312. 11:22Yup.
  313. 11:23And so, this is where you have to evoke that spirit,
  314. 11:25like the spell.
  315. 11:25Foom!
  316. 11:27CATHY: The name of the duet is "Illusions of Dance."
  317. 11:30And it's gonna be pretty magical.
  318. 11:32We have two magicians.
  319. 11:35One is very formally trained, and the other magician
  320. 11:39is a street magician.
  321. 11:41Boy, wouldn't it be nice if Anthony could just
  322. 11:43go "Hocus Pocus" and poof--
  323. 11:44Abby disappears?
  324. 11:46I could go like--
  325. 11:47Then, yeah, to go five, six, seven, eight, yes?
  326. 11:49Yeah.
  327. 11:50And Jalen, when you run back-- ANTHONY: And find each other.
  328. 11:52--make half circles with your feet.
  329. 11:54Yeah, so when you, when you fa-- roll on the floor--
  330. 11:55Half circles.
  331. 12:00Can you tell him what you need to tell him so I can continue?
  332. 12:05You're over there talking to him, Anthony.
  333. 12:07I'm not gonna just stand here and not help out.
  334. 12:09We're in a time crunch, OK?
  335. 12:11And I got where you're going.
  336. 12:12You don't know where I'm going.
  337. 12:13CATHY: That you're the artist.
  338. 12:14You don't know where I'm going.
  339. 12:15Can you just be quiet?
  340. 12:15No.
  341. 12:17ANTHONY: I'm giving them both a note to roll on the floor,
  342. 12:18and you're talking to him while I'm talking to him.
  343. 12:21Listen, if I'm gonna be able to step in to help out,
  344. 12:23that's what I'm gonna do.
  345. 12:24But you don't know what you're talking about.
  346. 12:25Oh, really?
  347. 12:26You don't know what you're talking about.
  348. 12:27Oh, really?
  349. 12:28I don't know what I'm talking about?
  350. 12:28Yes, really.
  351. 12:29If you're gonna give the note--
  352. 12:30ANTHONY: If you're gonna get in my face,
  353. 12:31step out of my my face.
  354. 12:31Step out of my face.
  355. 12:32You want to see me in your face?
  356. 12:34You will never be in my face.
  357. 12:35Then don't be condescending to me.
  358. 12:36- You will never be in my face. - Don't be condescending to me.
  359. 12:38- You will never be in my face. - OK.
  360. 12:40Then don't tell me not to get in your face
  361. 12:41if I'm not in your face.
  362. 12:44ABBY LEE: Asia, we're going to start with her.
  363. 12:46And you all are going to do 100 push-ups.
  364. 12:49She doesn't have to do the 100 push-ups 'cause she didn't
  365. 12:52ice-skate.
  366. 12:53You were selfish, you were naive,
  367. 12:58and you put this entire group in jeopardy.
  368. 13:00I found out the girls went ice-skating.
  369. 13:02The Abby Lee Dance Company contract is very specific.
  370. 13:05No ice-skating.
  371. 13:07These are things that protect your child,
  372. 13:10as well as the group and the choreography and all the money
  373. 13:14that's gone into doing a competition.
  374. 13:17You know, when somebody gets hurt,
  375. 13:19everybody else has to pay for it.
  376. 13:21(SINGING) Love cries.
  377. 13:23Asia has an amazing solo this week.
  378. 13:25It's called "The Robot."
  379. 13:27And it's going to be hard to keep her a little stiff,
  380. 13:30but we're gonna try.
  381. 13:32JILL: Look, all the girls are doing push-ups
  382. 13:34and Asia's running her solo.
  383. 13:35What's that about?
  384. 13:36Did the kids have a really good time?
  385. 13:37They did.
  386. 13:38They did. - That's all that matters.
  387. 13:39Sometimes they have to just be kids, like--
  388. 13:41Enjoy their childhood.
  389. 13:42For God's sake.
  390. 13:43KELLY: Abby's sitting here making these kids do push-ups
  391. 13:46because they went ice-skating.
  392. 13:47Abby, what did you do while the kids were ice-skating?
  393. 13:50Did you maybe go for dinner?
  394. 13:51Maybe you should be doing the sit-ups and the push-ups.
  395. 13:54I still stand.
  396. 13:55Asia knows, and she's not going ice-skate two days
  397. 13:58before competition because you can't be 100% sure an accident
  398. 14:02won't happen on the ice.
  399. 14:03That's not what you said yesterday.
  400. 14:04Well, I'm telling you now.
  401. 14:06After thinking about it, we have two days out for a show.
  402. 14:08You want to just take that chance?
  403. 14:09I don't, as a mother.
  404. 14:11My daughter's a dancer.
  405. 14:12Why are you getting all bent out of shape?
  406. 14:14Nobody's asked you.
  407. 14:15- Christi. - Yes, I'm speaking.
  408. 14:17Look at me when you talk. Look at me when you talk.
  409. 14:18Excuse me?
  410. 14:19Look at me when you talk! CHRISTI: Excuse me.
  411. 14:21Excuse me.
  412. 14:22I don't want to look at you when I talk!
  413. 14:23Well, then don't talk to me.
  414. 14:25Well, then don't talk to us.
  415. 14:26Nobody asked you! - I'm answering a question.
  416. 14:28Nobody asked you a question.
  417. 14:29Yes, you did.
  418. 14:30You just asked me a [bleep] question!
  419. 14:31You need to settle yourself down.
  420. 14:33KRISTIE: No, I don't. 'Cause guess what?
  421. 14:34CHRISTI: You need to settle yourself down.
  422. 14:35You look at me when you talk to me.
  423. 14:36Don't look at your phone.
  424. 14:37Look at me!
  425. 14:38Don't you tell me what to do!
  426. 14:39KRISTIE: I'm telling you what to do!
  427. 14:41It's important that if someone is gonna talk to me
  428. 14:43and ask me a question, is that they look me in the eye.
  429. 14:46Not ask me a question and look away and then make faces.
  430. 14:49It's disrespectful, and you're not
  431. 14:51gonna do it when you're talking to me.
  432. 14:52I'm sorry that you guys are miserable!
  433. 14:54We're not miserable. KRISTIE: You guys are miserable!
  434. 14:55Our kids are happy.
  435. 14:57Then look at me when you talk to me!
  436. 14:59I don't want to look at you when I talk to you!
  437. 15:02You guys are so caught up on, "Oh my, God,"
  438. 15:05complaining about every little [bleep] that happens.
  439. 15:08I don't know why you're being so emotional about this.
  440. 15:10Because Christi and Jill bring it up,
  441. 15:12and then Christi's over there, standing there, making faces
  442. 15:15like, "Oh, my God, I can't believe she's saying that.
  443. 15:17Oh my God." - I can't.
  444. 15:18But then you can't look me in the eye and then--
  445. 15:19I"m looking you in the eye, bitch.
  446. 15:21Bitch, let's go.
  447. 15:21Let's go.
  448. 15:22- I'm not that way. - Sit down.
  449. 15:24Exactly, so don't call me a bitch if you can't back it up!
  450. 15:25I"m not that way.
  451. 15:26Settle yourself down.
  452. 15:27Do not call me a bitch if you can't back it up.
  453. 15:30CHRISTI: I can back it up, but I don't fight like that.
  454. 15:32OK, then don't use those words towards me.
  455. 15:34I think Kristie is going to knock the other Christi out.
  456. 15:37And I'm just like, "Stay away.
  457. 15:38I don't fight I'm a lover, not a fighter."
  458. 15:40[chuckles]
  459. 15:41Watch your tongue!
  460. 15:42You need--
  461. 15:43- Watch your tongue! - Get your finger away from me.
  462. 15:45I'm telling you, watch your tongue.
  463. 15:46You call me a bitch one more time--
  464. 15:46What, are you gonna hit me?
  465. 15:48- Watch your tongue. - What, are you gonna hit me?
  466. 15:49Watch your tongue.
  467. 15:50CHRISTI: Are you going to hit me?
  468. 15:51- Watch your tongue. - You don't tell me what to do.
  469. 15:52What, are you gonna hit me?
  470. 15:53Watch your tongue.
  471. 15:55ABBY LEE: No, I love her.
  472. 15:56I hope she slaps her in the face.
  473. 15:58CHRISTI: Why am I the one in trouble
  474. 16:00when this is going like this?
  475. 16:01Why are you so violent?
  476. 16:02I'm not violent.
  477. 16:03You just-- you just don't--
  478. 16:04you just don't know how to handle me.
  479. 16:06That's why.
  480. 16:07JILL: Kristie Ray is a time bomb.
  481. 16:09I have no idea what Kristie has in mind
  482. 16:12when she jumps out of her chair and gets in Christi's face.
  483. 16:17KRISTIE: Save it.
  484. 16:18Save it, Christi, save it.
  485. 16:19CHRISTI: You save it.
  486. 16:20Save it.
  487. 16:21Save it, OK?
  488. 16:23CHRISTI: You save it.
  489. 16:24Save it.
  490. 16:26I'm not looking way now, am I?
  491. 16:27Good.
  492. 16:28Now I taught you a lesson.
  493. 16:30You taught me how I don't want to behave.
  494. 16:32Save it.
  495. 16:33Sorry.
  496. 16:47ABBY LEE: Masters of Dance Arts is supposed
  497. 16:49to be a big competition.
  498. 16:50There's a lot of schools going, and they're good schools.
  499. 16:53And anytime Cathy shows up, it always puts me on edge.
  500. 16:56Ever since she has this "boys team," I'm a little nervous,
  501. 17:01'cause we all know the boys can beat the girls
  502. 17:04in a dance competition.
  503. 17:07[indistinct shouts]
  504. 17:08CHILD: Yeah!
  505. 17:10Do not acknowledge them.
  506. 17:12They don't exist.
  507. 17:15MELISSA: Where's Cathy?
  508. 17:18Vivi's always sick.
  509. 17:19Vivi's really sick?
  510. 17:21Cathy's not here at all?
  511. 17:22Cathy's not here.
  512. 17:25JILL: Our kids are here, Cathy's team is here.
  513. 17:27No Cathy.
  514. 17:28Hallelujah!
  515. 17:29There is a God.
  516. 17:31KELLY: Well, I heard that little girl with Cathy is from Larkin.
  517. 17:35ABBY LEE: She is.
  518. 17:36KELLY: So, is she good.
  519. 17:37ABBY LEE: I'm sure she's good.
  520. 17:38I mean, that studio's really good?
  521. 17:39ABBY LEE: Yes.
  522. 17:41Plus, I think she's actually a ballet student.
  523. 17:43We asked her if she was a ballet student.
  524. 17:44She looks like she she was more ballet.
  525. 17:46She said she was a ballerina.
  526. 17:47KELLY: Abby.
  527. 17:49Did Anthony come to do their group?
  528. 17:50Yeah You want to know the truth, what my real opinion is?
  529. 17:54Yes.
  530. 17:55I think he's wonderful, but he's the kind
  531. 17:57of choreographer-- they choreograph for themselves,
  532. 18:01and they want the kid to look like them.
  533. 18:04They don't choreograph for the kid, what the kid does well.
  534. 18:07There's a difference between being an amazing dancer
  535. 18:09and being an amazing choreographer.
  536. 18:11Right.
  537. 18:12That's why I win.
  538. 18:15ANTHONY: So when--
  539. 18:16I should probably, uh, start doing a little warm-up, too.
  540. 18:18Come here, Vice.
  541. 18:19Can you help her out, Ma?
  542. 18:20Aha!
  543. 18:22Doctor-- doctor's in the house.
  544. 18:24Oh, look at Little Oozy-woozy.
  545. 18:26[rhythmic grunting]
  546. 18:29Well, I can't see your face, dude.
  547. 18:30How do you feel, Victoria?
  548. 18:31- Good. - That's all?
  549. 18:33You gonna give me one word every time I ask you a question.
  550. 18:35- Excited! - Yeah?
  551. 18:36Very excited to dance on stage.
  552. 18:38Yeah, exactly.
  553. 18:38That's what I'm talking about.
  554. 18:40Five, six, seven, eight.
  555. 18:42Oh.
  556. 18:42Put an arm raise on that one.
  557. 18:45[music playing]
  558. 18:52JILL: So you guys think Cathy will show up?
  559. 18:54Oh, I think she's coming.
  560. 18:56I can't believe that she would leave her team high and dry,
  561. 18:59not even show up.
  562. 19:00Last time she was pretty smug.
  563. 19:01It's tough to get there it's harder to stay there.
  564. 19:03She's probably thinking-- HOLLY: No.
  565. 19:05I think she's pretty kind of confident.
  566. 19:06Just like that.
  567. 19:07She's pretty smug.
  568. 19:08She probably thinks she-- she doesn't need to be here
  569. 19:10because she has it all wrapped up.
  570. 19:13Yeah.
  571. 19:14Has anyone heard from Cathy?
  572. 19:17WOMAN: She's--
  573. 19:18Have you guys heard from Cathy?
  574. 19:19- Not yet. - No.
  575. 19:20Vivi's sick.
  576. 19:21You're going to be our fearless leader.
  577. 19:23WOMAN: Yeah.
  578. 19:24ANTHONY: Long as Abby don't come up in my face, you know?
  579. 19:26MAN: I got you. - Yeah, I know you do.
  580. 19:28Between you two.
  581. 19:28[laughter]
  582. 19:30Give me-- look at that, Wonder--
  583. 19:32Wonder Twins. Wonder Twins.
  584. 19:38ABBY LEE: Woo!
  585. 19:39CHRISTI: Oh, my.
  586. 19:40Kelly, she stole your "Jetsons" outfit.
  587. 19:42JILL: Looks like Buzz Lightyear.
  588. 19:43Let me see.
  589. 19:44JILL: That's Buzz Lightyear.
  590. 19:45We need to run her number.
  591. 19:47MELISSA: Run your number.
  592. 19:48ABBY LEE: Sickled feet!
  593. 19:50Four walks.
  594. 19:51Careful!
  595. 19:54Keep your ankles together.
  596. 19:55You look pigeon toed when you're doing that.
  597. 19:56Are we ready to go? You two ready to go?
  598. 19:58JILL: Yeah.
  599. 19:59ABBY LEE: The solos are up first.
  600. 20:01If they let the wicked witch's boys get to them,
  601. 20:05they're going to crack under the pressure.
  602. 20:07And the Abby Lee Dance Company doesn't crack.
  603. 20:11You understand that the judges have seen a whole bunch
  604. 20:13of stuff-- maybe some great, maybe some not so great.
  605. 20:16All right?
  606. 20:17So you come out doing something exciting.
  607. 20:19You wake them up.
  608. 20:20But it has to be done well.
  609. 20:22Yes?
  610. 20:24You know what your mistakes are.
  611. 20:26You know what you do wrong.
  612. 20:27I don't need to remind you of them.
  613. 20:29Just don't regret the performance.
  614. 20:32Come off saying, "That was the best I could have done today."
  615. 20:35MELISSA: Abby puts Maddie and Chloe against each other,
  616. 20:37again.
  617. 20:38It's a good competition, though.
  618. 20:40They really make each other work harder.
  619. 20:43Chloe definitely can beat Maddie.
  620. 20:44Maddie can definitely be Chloe any week.
  621. 20:46It goes both ways.
  622. 20:47All right. Come on, girls!
  623. 20:48This is it!

  630. 21:02Please welcome Asia, performing "The Robot."
  631. 21:04[cheering and applause]
  632. 21:11[music playing]
  633. 21:12(SINGING) Love crimes.
  634. 21:15Love crimes.
  635. 21:16Love crimes.
  636. 21:17Love crimes.

  641. 21:46Getting a little crazy.
  642. 21:47Lying, not at all.
  643. 21:50If I show my feelings, I'll have to break the law.
  644. 21:54Love crimes.
  645. 21:56I have to say something.
  646. 21:58If love is illegal, guess I'm guilty of love crimes.
  647. 22:04Am I the only one dealing with the feeling,
  648. 22:08having all this fun?
  649. 22:10Love crimes.
  650. 22:17[cheering and applause]
  651. 22:22ABBY LEE: Even though Asia was portraying a robot,
  652. 22:25there was nothing mechanical going on.
  653. 22:28Her face was all human.
  654. 22:31She brought that robot to life.
  655. 22:35Wait, Asia.
  656. 22:36Asia.
  657. 22:39It's really good to turn on.

  726. 26:38I'm still here to hide all your fears.
  727. 26:43Oh, yeah.
  728. 26:57[cheering and applause]
  729. 27:00[music playing]
  730. 27:09[cheering and applause]
  731. 27:13ABBY LEE: Zack did well.
  732. 27:14I really didn't get the routine.
  733. 27:16I don't know if he was saving somebody's life
  734. 27:18or he decided that he was a doctor but he was dying, too.
  735. 27:24I don't know. ANNOUNCER: All right.
  736. 27:25We're good to go with act number 46.
  737. 27:27This is a Junior Open Duet.
  738. 27:29Please welcome "Illusions of the Dance."
  739. 27:31[cheering and applause]
  740. 27:36[music playing]
  741. 28:00[cheering and applause]
  742. 28:11[music playing]
  743. 28:23His legs are amazing.
  744. 28:26He's amazing.
  745. 28:36[cheering and applause]
  746. 28:41ANNOUNCER: And that was act number 46, "Illusion
  747. 28:44of the Dance."
  748. 28:47ABBY LEE: I don't think it really was a duet.
  749. 28:49It was really two solos, side by side.
  750. 28:52Clearly, that little head spinner
  751. 28:55is not on the same level as Nick.
  752. 28:57Nick should have been doing a solo.
  753. 28:59[music playing]
  754. 29:01CATHY: Hey.
  755. 29:01Nice job, Ab.
  756. 29:03Could be a big sweep this week.
  757. 29:06Did you bring your broom?
  758. 29:07Fly in on your broom?
  759. 29:10[cheering and applause]
  760. 29:15All right.
  761. 29:16We're playing the music.
  762. 29:17Run it in your head.
  763. 29:18Whoa.
  764. 29:19You OK?
  765. 29:21This is a really important number for me.
  766. 29:23And I want not only my kids to learn a lesson,
  767. 29:27but maybe to teach the people in the audience a lesson.
  768. 29:30I want you up so high on those feet.
  769. 29:32Yes!
  770. 29:33Big, dramatic boom!
  771. 29:34Bah!
  772. 29:35And I want to beat Cathy, too.
  773. 29:38And a number like this can do it.
  774. 29:40Hey.
  775. 29:41So we're getting makeup done.
  776. 29:43Oh, my gosh.
  777. 29:45Haunting.
  778. 29:46[laughs] Oh, Brandon!
  779. 29:48Oh, my goodness!
  780. 29:50I think that this number has the total package.
  781. 29:53We've got fabulous costumes that Anthony has went all out on.
  782. 29:57I think that the choreography is fresh.
  783. 30:00Oh, my gosh!
  784. 30:01She looks like a KISS girl!
  785. 30:03[laughter]
  786. 30:04Oh, my gosh.
  787. 30:05MAN: Gina Simmons!
  788. 30:05That is awesome.
  789. 30:07Yup, it's brilliant.
  790. 30:08ANTHONY: Now let's run this number.
  791. 30:09Come on.
  792. 30:10Let's run-- let's run it, real fast.
  793. 30:12Stronger, guys.
  794. 30:14Watch that curtain, that you don't fall.
  795. 30:16I definitely think that we stand a huge chance
  796. 30:19to beat Abby Lee Dance Company.
  797. 30:21All right, guys, we got to go.
  798. 30:22We got to go.
  799. 30:23We're good. We're good.
  800. 30:24Hey.
  801. 30:25Let's get in one more pep talk, guys.
  802. 30:26Come on.
  803. 30:27Hey, hey, hey, come on. CATHY: You're good.
  804. 30:28Got to do this.
  805. 30:29ABBY LEE: Girls, "The Last Text"--
  806. 30:31everybody got chills.
  807. 30:33When we heard the crash, we knew we had a winner on our hands.
  808. 30:36The schools talked to you about it.
  809. 30:38"Runaways"-- yes?
  810. 30:41You all are aware of this.
  811. 30:43Let's make them all aware.
  812. 30:45A teacher's success is based solely
  813. 30:48on the success of her students.
  814. 30:52Cathy doesn't have any success.
  815. 30:54ANNOUNCER: Next to the stage is act number 51.
  816. 30:55This is a Junior Open Small Group.
  817. 30:57Put your hands together for "Dia de los Muertos."
  818. 31:00[applause]
  819. 31:13[somber music]
  820. 32:08[cheering and applause]
  821. 32:13ANNOUNCER: And that was number 51, "Dia de los Muertos."
  822. 32:17MELISSA: I'm so nervous about the group dance.
  823. 32:19The girls have a ton of pressure because Cathy and her boys
  824. 32:22are here.
  825. 32:24The group dance is the most important thing,
  826. 32:26and this has to go well.
  827. 32:28ANNOUNCER: All right.
  828. 32:29Next to the stage is act number 50.
  829. 32:38All right.
  830. 32:39Next to the stage is act number 50.
  831. 32:42This is a Junior Open Small Group.
  832. 32:43Put your hands together for act number 50.
  833. 32:45[cheering and applause]
  834. 32:55[music playing]
  835. 33:15What did you say?
  836. 33:16The kid in the red--
  837. 33:17red pants did know what they were doing?
  838. 33:20CATHY: I wasn't-- no, that's Paige.
  839. 33:22Paige generally doesn't know what she's doing.
  840. 33:25MELISSA: I'm watching the number,
  841. 33:27and Anthony and Cathy are talking bad about Paige.
  842. 33:31I mean, loud.
  843. 33:33I could hear it, and it was really ticking me off.
  844. 33:36It's obvious you put your best dancer out in front.
  845. 33:39So you watch the back line.
  846. 33:57[cheering and applause]
  847. 34:06[chatter]
  848. 34:11ABBY LEE: I summoned Paige down off the stage.
  849. 34:20I thought that if Paige stood up to them and looked at this man
  850. 34:23and said, "If you have something to say, say it to my face,"
  851. 34:27that he would rationally, as a grown adult, say,
  852. 34:30"Oh, honey, I'm sorry.
  853. 34:31I won't say anything else."
  854. 34:33I really did.
  855. 34:34But it didn't look like it.
  856. 34:35I guess because you were close to the wing,
  857. 34:37it looked like you were, you know, about to hit the wing.
  858. 34:39So it showed on your face.
  859. 34:40And, I mean-- ABBY LEE: Uh-uh.
  860. 34:42Uh-uh.
  861. 34:43KELLY: You're not her dance teacher,
  862. 34:44so don't give her critiques.
  863. 34:44ANTHONY: I'm not her dance teacher.
  864. 34:45That's why I didn't give her any.
  865. 34:47Leave her alone. CATHY: But you know what?
  866. 34:48Paige, please go up on the thing.
  867. 34:48ABBY LEE: Yeah, but you haven't--
  868. 34:49He's rude.
  869. 34:50ABBY LEE: You've been ripping on her since you sat down.
  870. 34:51So what?
  871. 34:52CATHY: But he was talking to me, not you.
  872. 34:53- Don't rip on my daughter. - I'm giving her critiques.
  873. 34:54She's 11 years old. ANTHONY: I'm not.
  874. 34:55She does it enough.
  875. 34:56She does it enough.
  876. 34:57Yeah, well, I pay her for her critiquing--
  877. 34:57ANTHONY: Good. Good.
  878. 34:58And you should-- - --not you.
  879. 34:59Maybe you should get a refund.
  880. 35:01Maybe you should get a refund because those knees were bent
  881. 35:01and she missed many a steps.
  882. 35:02Yeah?
  883. 35:03Well, at least my daughter can get out there and dance.
  884. 35:04Your daughter can't.
  885. 35:05She's sick every week.
  886. 35:06PAIGE: I didn't really care that he was giving me corrections
  887. 35:09because I like getting crutches from other people
  888. 35:11because it makes you a better dancer.
  889. 35:13I just didn't like that he did it
  890. 35:14in front of the whole audience because it kind of got
  891. 35:16me embarrassed.
  892. 35:18It's was only the truth, Abby.
  893. 35:19That's all I was-- you know, I'm not--
  894. 35:20I'm not saying and it's not nothing against you.
  895. 35:22You know what?
  896. 35:23Let's call Katy Perry and see what she has to say about you.
  897. 35:25I quit. That's what happened.
  898. 35:26- [laughs] - I quit.
  899. 35:27Yeah, or got fired. Figure it out.
  900. 35:28Never. CATHY: Oh, right.
  901. 35:29ANTHONY: I've never, ever got-- never, ever
  902. 35:30got fired from a job.
  903. 35:31Check my resume, boo.
  904. 35:32That's why I continue to work.
  905. 35:34I continue to work.
  906. 35:36KELLY: Cathy, you talk about kids.
  907. 35:38We never talk mean about your kids, ever.
  908. 35:40WOMAN: You talked about Vivi.
  909. 35:41You guys critiqued the whole thing.
  910. 35:42Because she said something about my kid.
  911. 35:44Was sitting there talking about Vivi-Anne?
  912. 35:46No, I wasn't.
  913. 35:47No, she didn't-- no one said anything about your kid.
  914. 35:48Abby called her off the stage.
  915. 35:49Because you're talking about her.
  916. 35:51I wasn't talking about her. I was--
  917. 35:52Yes, you were.
  918. 35:53I said she was lurking on the fence, which is true.
  919. 35:55She was lurking.
  920. 35:56All right, look--
  921. 35:58this is a dance competition. .
  922. 35:59This is my livelihood you either need to leave the premises
  923. 36:03or you need to act like a lady and a gentleman.
  924. 36:05I've had it. Enough!
  925. 36:06[applause]
  926. 36:07You know what then, Abby?
  927. 36:08What are you talking about?
  928. 36:09MELISSA: When you mess with one of our team members,
  929. 36:12it really makes me angry.
  930. 36:13We protect one another.
  931. 36:15And I'm telling you, she's sticking up for Paige.
  932. 36:17All right.
  933. 36:19Ladies and gentlemen, I think we're ready to begin awards.
  934. 36:20[cheering and applause]
  935. 36:21In the Mini Solo Division of competition,

  940. 36:33Hailey, with act number seven, "Make it Fierce."
  941. 36:35[cheering and applause]

  946. 36:49KRISTIE: Asia gets the first place overall and the Judges
  947. 36:51Choice Award.
  948. 36:53So, moms, I know you don't want us here.
  949. 36:55You say that Asia is this and Asia is that.
  950. 36:57But right now we're leaving New York and we're winners.
  951. 37:02All right.
  952. 37:03We're moving into our Elite Junior Solo
  953. 37:05Division of competition.
  954. 37:06Ladies and gentlemen, there was a tie for second place.
  955. 37:09At Masters of Dance, ties are broken by the technique score.
  956. 37:12So with that, third place, with a score of 278.6 points
  957. 37:17is Miss Chloe with act number 39, "My Obsession."
  958. 37:20[cheering and applause]

  962. 37:32[cheering and applause]
  963. 37:36ABBY LEE: So we have a tie, but they give Chloe third and Zack
  964. 37:38second.
  965. 37:39They use the technical score to break the tie.
  966. 37:44So showmanship, choreography, presentation, technique.
  967. 37:50Come on, Chloe, what about your technique?
  968. 37:52ANNOUNCER: And your highest scoring

  995. 39:04Goodness prevails.
  996. 39:06ABBY LEE: It kills me that Cathy beat me.
  997. 39:09But I have to put it all into perspective.
  998. 39:11Cathy didn't beat me.
  999. 39:12One little girl that she stole, three boys
1000. 39:15from around the country and a guest choreographer beat me.
  1001. 39:19That, I could handle.
1002. 39:20I thought the group dance was good.
  1003. 39:24I-- I really did.
1004. 39:25I just wish we wouldn't have screamed and yelled at the end.
  1005. 39:27I regret that.
1006. 39:28Do you think everybody was together in the group dance?
  1007. 39:30No. I thought Asia was a hot mess.
  1008. 39:31She was ridiculous.
  1009. 39:33Choreography is here.
1010. 39:35When it moves this way, whoever is on this end
1011. 39:38ends up in the middle.
  1012. 39:39KRISTIE: Well, Abby--
  1013. 39:40Asia was in the wings, .
1014. 39:41On the right Asia ruined the group dance.
1015. 39:46However, I don't know where those judges were looking,
  1016. 39:48and I don't know what they saw.
1017. 39:52CATHY: Hey, Ab, how you doing?
1018. 39:54Big one for the Apples this week, huh?
  1019. 39:57Get ready.
  1020. 39:58Guess what, Abby?
1021. 40:00Everybody knows who Candy Apples is.
  1022. 40:02And you know what?
1023. 40:03You're going to go down every week.
  1024. 40:05Because you know why?
1025. 40:06You're not only rude to people, you're rude to children.
1026. 40:11You did that to poor Paige.
1027. 40:13Don't put your hands on your waist at me and look pitiful.
  1028. 40:15You set that up.
  1029. 40:16You're rude and you're going down.
1030. 40:19Nobody cares about Abby Lee anymore.
  1031. 40:21[cheering and applause]
  1032. 40:23BOY: Apple Core!
  1033. 40:24Apple Core!
  1034. 40:25Apple Core!
1035. 40:27ABBY LEE: Cathy was victorious this time, I'll give her that.
1036. 40:29But it didn't have anything to do with her skills.
1037. 40:32Cathy had nothing to do with that number.
1038. 40:36Cathy, it's not going to happen again.
1039. 40:39I just did want to say one thing.
1040. 40:41I want you all to know--
1041. 40:42I don't want you to hear rumors and blah, blah, blah.
1042. 40:45But I am looking for property in LA.
1043. 40:49I'll be doing that next week.
1044. 40:50MELISSA: What-- for-- to buy a studio?
  1045. 40:52Yes.
  1046. 40:53Does that mean you're moving?
1047. 40:58ABBY LEE (VOICEOVER): Next on "Dance Moms"--
1048. 41:00ABBY LEE: Brooke, these people are
  1049. 41:02serious about their dancing.
1050. 41:03Don't be the weakest link.
1051. 41:04You're full of [bleep],, Kelly, and you know it.
1052. 41:06KELLY: Oh, well, maybe you should get [bleep]..
  1053. 41:08[bleep] you, Kelly.
  1054. 41:09[bleep] you.
  1055. 41:11ABBY LEE: You're skinny, you're blonde, you're pretty.
1056. 41:13You're telling me nobody at school hates you?
  1057. 41:16Wake up.
1058. 41:17MAN: You don't have to baby these boys.
1059. 41:18A little physical exercise don't hurt them at all.
  1060. 41:21- I'm taking care-- - Come here.
  1061. 41:21Come here. Come here.
  1062. 41:22Don't-- don't--
  1063. 41:24Shut up!
1064. 41:25What the [bleep] does it have to do with Jill?
1065. 41:27What is wrong with you?
  1066. 41:28I hope they lose.
  1067. 41:31[audio out]
