Can Ai crash Minecraft's Biggest Economy, the DonutSMP — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00This is Minecraft's biggest server, and
- 0:01it's only about one thing, money. An
- 0:03in-game economy built around selling and
- 0:05buying from other people, just like real
- 0:06life. If AI is so powerful, can it build
- 0:08an algorithm that breaks in-game
- 0:10economy, or will it end up broke and
- 0:11potentially banned? Let's find out. All
- 0:13right, you guys are probably wondering
- 0:14how I'm going to do this. It's all going
- 0:15to come down to arbitrage. Now, here's
- 0:18an example. Many players make money by
- 0:19finding good deals on the auction house
- 0:20and reselling it at a higher price,
- 0:22making an instant profit. But this takes
- 0:24a lot of awareness on which items to
- 0:25actually buy and sell. And if you make a
- 0:27mistake, you can lose a lot of money.
- 0:28So, if an algorithm could detect these
- 0:30deals mathematically with data and
- 0:32execute these trades, it would be
- 0:33broken. And it should be possible. Well,
- 0:35there's only one way to find out. So,
- 0:36let's just start by asking a to make the
- 0:38base of the mod before we go into the
- 0:40algorithm. But look how detailed this
- 0:41is. There's no data yet, but it's going
- 0:42to calculate fair prices when it's
- 0:44listed and liquidity so we know if an
- 0:46item has demand. We can also blacklist
- 0:48items. Oh my gosh. And this is what the
- 0:51click is going to look like. This is
- 0:52perfect. It's organized. This is going
- 0:54to be how we control the algorithm
- 0:55inside the game. All right, it's been a
- 0:57couple minutes and looks like Chachi is
- 0:58running a test run. Yes. Okay, there we
- 1:00go. Launched the mod perfectly. All
- 1:02right, let's see what it did.
- 1:03Interesting. I'm not sure about you
- 1:04guys. This looks pretty good. We even
- 1:05have a chart to track profit. Oh my,
- 1:07this is where the opportunities are
- 1:08going to be listed. But as you guys can
- 1:09see, these prices are completely wrong.
- 1:11Yeah, I would go broke with these
- 1:12prices. But step one is done. I'm very
- 1:14happy about it. We now need to work on
- 1:15the most important part, the algorithm.
- 1:18And for this, we're going to need the
- 1:19donut S&P API. Now, this is the most
- 1:21important part because the API provides
- 1:22all the data for the auction house, new
- 1:24listings, quantity, and at what price a
- 1:25listing is bought and sold. And this is
- 1:27how the AI will gather the data and
- 1:28provide opportunities that actually has
- 1:30demand. I have no idea if AI can do
- 1:31this. There are over a thousand items on
- 1:33the Dona SMP, and I'm asking it to do
- 1:35statistical calculations for every
- 1:36single one of those items. All right,
- 1:38there's actually no problems with the
- 1:39API. It's actually possible. So, I
- 1:41should just be able to type in slash a
- 1:43Wait, no, no. Does the server not have
- 1:44individual API keys? All right, this
- 1:46Redditor saved my life. He said that
- 1:47slash API is only available for
- 1:49subscriptions. Thank you to whoever this
- 1:50guy is. Okay, there we go. Now we can do
- 1:52slash API. Now we're almost in stage
- 1:54one, but since there's so many items in
- 1:55the Don SMP, I want to first experiment
- 1:57with various stable items, ores, blocks,
- 1:59and food. This is because sometimes
- 2:00items can drop by 50% in 1 hour, and
- 2:03that could destroy all my profits. The
- 2:05Don SMP is not a normal economy. There
- 2:07we go. Now, the algorithm is only
- 2:08calculating for very stable items. Stage
- 2:10one is done, but now we have to do stage
- 2:12two. The algorithm has to use past data
- 2:14to create a fair resell value. This is
- 2:16because some players overpay for items
- 2:17and some underpay. And this isn't real
- 2:19life money, so an accurate average is
- 2:21really difficult to find. I'm checking
- 2:22the code base and there are conditionals
- 2:24for listing opportunity. This is really
- 2:25good. Yep. Yep. Yep. As you guys can
- 2:26see, price calculations are based off
- 2:28completed sales. So, if one price is
- 2:30like 25% completed sales and another
- 2:32price has 75% completed sales, the
- 2:34average will be between these two. The
- 2:36only reason this is possible is that the
- 2:37Don SMP actually has a really active
- 2:39economy. Like without players buying and
- 2:41selling quickly, this would not be
- 2:42possible. And now Chad is making the
- 2:44logic for the profit calculations. We're
- 2:4670% there. This is going to be so
- 2:48awkward if I lose all my money. All
- 2:49right, we're in the last sector risk
- 2:50analysis. And this is so I don't buy
- 2:52items that are outrageously high is like
- 2:54a lot of people troll unless items are
- 2:56extremely high for no reason because
- 2:58they just hope that someone just buys
- 2:59it. We are finally done. Oh my, look at
- 3:02all those changes. Holy But
- 3:04seriously, we have live data
- 3:06calculations and Chad GP has already
- 3:08done test. So it's already stable. API
- 3:10connected. No errors. All right, let's
- 3:12see the opportunities. Okay, you know
- 3:14what? That's It's fine. You know, it's
- 3:16probably calculating right now. Let's
- 3:17just give it a second.
- 3:18>> 10 minutes later.
- 3:19>> What is happening? Oh, no. There has to
- 3:21be a bug somewhere. Wait, I'm a vibe
- 3:23corder. I can't handle bugs. No, no, no.
- 3:24Looking at the restrictions, I believe
- 3:25the competence level is way too high.
- 3:27Let's just lower this and pray it works.
- 3:29All right, it's done, bro. I'm so
- 3:31nervous. Okay, please, please tell me
- 3:32this fixed it. Yes, opportunity found.
- 3:36Boom. Maka locka. Yo, this is crazy. No.
- 3:38Are these accurate listings? Wait, 64
- 3:41redstone. Oh my gosh, we just did it. We
- 3:43just did it. Hold on. If it lists us on
- 3:45the calculated price, are people going
- 3:46to buy? I think another opportunity was
- 3:48the ender pearls. Oh my, it's right as
- 3:50well. The API is fully connected and the
- 3:52algorithm is receiving the data. Let's
- 3:54list the pearls as well. This doesn't
- 3:56work if the sell price is not calculated
- 3:57well. So, this could still be wrong. No,
- 3:59it's right. Less than 30 seconds and we
- 4:01have sold the pearls already for 9K
- 4:03instant like 8K profit. And my first one
- 4:05got bought as well. Oh my, the listings
- 4:07are right. The data is correct. Okay, I
- 4:09need to calm down. We still need to
- 4:11automate this, but this should be too
- 4:12hard. If you guys didn't know, the don
- 4:14has commands that allows players to
- 4:15instantly list and buy an item. We just
- 4:16need to give the algorithm the commands
- 4:18and when it detects opportunity, it
- 4:19should be able to do it just instantly.
- 4:20I don't know what to say. But guys,
- 4:22should this be banned? Because
- 4:23technically in real life with real
- 4:24money, this is not banable. It has come
- 4:26such a long way though. The codebase
- 4:27actually looks organized, which I don't
- 4:29know how that's possible because this
- 4:30was completely vibe coded. Looks like
- 4:32the automation is done. It even added
- 4:33different settings. I don't know if this
- 4:34is going to get me banned though. This
- 4:36is kind of scaring me. You know what?
- 4:37Let's just risk it. All right, I'm not
- 4:39banned just yet. Okay, the did add the
- 4:42settings. Okay, now we can just paste
- 4:43the commands. And there we go. We can
- 4:45find the exact item instantly. It's like
- 4:47much quicker. Now, the problem is we got
- 4:48commands, but it's still not automated.
- 4:50I still have to like press each
- 4:51individual button. Say this is pretty
- 4:52good, but we got to make the algorithm
- 4:54do the entire thing. All right, so this
- 4:55should be the final test. A should just
- 4:56be able to like use a commands and
- 4:58automatically find the listing. But
- 5:00guys, let me know if I should release
- 5:00this open source because one way this
- 5:02algorithm can actually get really good
- 5:04is with more data. like players with
- 5:06real experience and how the Don SMP
- 5:07works can make this really good. The
- 5:09real question is if Chad GMD can
- 5:11actually make this automated SMP
- 5:13probably has an anti-che to prevent
- 5:14this. Oh, we're about to find out. No,
- 5:16it's already done. Let's see if the
- 5:17antiche actually catches me. Hey,
- 5:18there's automation tab. Okay, we have a
- 5:21lot of settings here. Let's just turn on
- 5:22the authorized auto um and just see what
- 5:25it does. Is it doing in the background?
- 5:27I can't really see what it's doing.
- 5:28Auction. Okay, there's nothing in here.
- 5:30No, no, no, no, no, no. Wait, wait, what
- 5:33happens if I press run? No. Oh my gosh.
- 5:36The MC actually got it. This is actually
- 5:37my worst nightmare. This means one
- 5:39thing. We have to manually parse each
- 5:40item. Okay. I dreaded this, guys. It
- 5:42appears we have to parse each individual
- 5:44listing on the auction house. Oh my
- 5:46gosh. Ultimately, the Anachi got us. The
- 5:49Anachi got us. Okay. I can't believe it.
- 5:51But this has to work. This like the only
- 5:53other method. Okay, it's done. It's time
- 5:55to see if I'm screwed or not. I'm so
- 5:57nervous. We have to put in the driver
- 5:59this time, not the automatic. Oh my.
- 6:00Let's see if it starts listing. Come on.
- 6:02Please, man. The algorithm is not
- 6:03opening the auction house. This is not
- 6:05looking good. Is this the NH? I really
- 6:07can't tell. I'm not sure if the NH is
- 6:09like blocking the requests. Wait, no.
- 6:11Hold on. The balcony is actually listing
- 6:13it. Oh my gosh. Let's go. Now, we have
- 6:16to see if this block can actually earn
- 6:17any money or if we get banned. This is
- 6:19what it all comes down to. I'm going to
- 6:21run it for an hour and let's see what
- 6:22happens. And we're going to start at $2
- 6:24million.
- 6:4530 minutes in and it's still listing the
- 6:46items. Let's go.
- 7:04So, I accidentally AFKed for like 6
- 7:06hours, but in those 6 hours, the
- 7:08algorithm made $2.3 million. And looks
- 7:11like we stole some items from the
- 7:12auction house, so potentially even more.
- 7:14In my opinion, that is a win. All right,
- 7:15so I know some of you guys will say the
- 7:16algorithm made no money, and there's way
- 7:18easier ways to make money. And fishing
- 7:20is apparently the current meta. So, I'm
- 7:21going to show you guys the difference
- 7:22with a max rod and bait for his
- 7:24autofish.
- 7:40Okay, so AFK for 1 hour. I know it's not
- 7:42the same time, but my inventory kind of
- 7:44got really full, but hold on. There's
- 7:45actually some really good items here.
- 7:46Wait, damn. What the This actually worth
- 7:47a lot. All right, let's list all this
- 7:49and see what the comparison is. So,
- 7:51after selling everything, we made about
- 7:521.5 mil. All right, maybe there are
- 7:54actually better ways to make money, but
- 7:55that doesn't mean this algorithm cannot
- 7:57be improved. So, I'm going to release
- 7:58this in the edition server open source
- 8:00when the video drops so you guys can
- 8:01improve it yourself. And please comment
- 8:03any suggestions if you have them. Also,
- 8:04if you want to see more Don SMP content,
- 8:06check out my second channel as I'll be
- 8:07posting more updates. Thanks for
- 8:09watching and see you guys next time.
