Camouflaged Maneuvers (Season 3, Episode 11) | Full Episode | Dance Moms — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Previously on Dance Moms. It's key
- 0:02dating. I mean someone to rub my feet.
- 0:06Replace us, that's fine. Chloe is
- 0:08suspended, so is her mother. And the
- 0:09duet will be Kendall and Nia. Where's
- 0:13Jill? Having a private with Kendall.
- 0:15Hey, I guess you didn't expect to see me
- 0:17up here, huh? Anything to move Kendall
- 0:20up that spot.
- 0:21feel like we're being a team.
- 0:22I think you two have a big hole to dig
- 0:24yourselves out of. I didn't do anything
- 0:25behind your back. I did it right in
- 0:27front of you and I did it to benefit my
- 0:29child.
- 0:30Coming up on Dance Moms. The name of the
- 0:32group routine is don't ask, just tell.
- 0:36If you want to be Maddie, then you need
- 0:37to get the face. That's it. Good, good,
- 0:39good. I was with some guy. Hello. You
- 0:41can have the first bite.
- 0:44I'm going to take Kenzie to the
- 0:45hospital. What do you mean the hospital?
- 0:47Did you witness Mackenzie doing
- 0:49cartwheels in here? Don't you lie to me.
- 0:51She is throwing her talent away. It's
- 0:54time
- 0:55to not be dancing anymore.
- 1:15Come on, girls. LET'S GO. COME ON, LET'S
- 1:17MOVE IT.
- 1:19Of course we have to talk about
- 1:21Bernardsville, New Jersey.
- 1:23Second. Second. Second.
- 1:26Second. Second place. Your dream will be
- 1:29my dream.
- 1:31Love is royal.
- 1:34Lifeline.
- 1:39The duet was stiff.
- 1:41It's okay. Everybody needs knocked down
- 1:43a few pegs.
- 1:45Even you, Maddie.
- 1:48Such is life.
- 1:49Normally when the kids get second place,
- 1:51she's screaming at them that they're the
- 1:53first to lose. So, there's definitely
- 1:55something up with her. So, let's talk
- 1:57about the group dance. You looked
- 2:00exquisite.
- 2:02But I didn't see a love story.
- 2:04Your dream will be
- 2:07Your dream will be
- 2:10If you want to be second, then you did a
- 2:13great job. If you want to win, you might
- 2:15have to go back to the basics.
- 2:17I'm not going to yell at you or scream
- 2:19at you or anything else. I'll just smile
- 2:21and be sweet and nice and
- 2:23you'll be second. You know, I don't
- 2:25trust this whole Abby's being so sweet
- 2:27thing. It's like look over here while I
- 2:29punch you from this side. This week we
- 2:31will be traveling to Minneapolis,
- 2:33Minnesota. We will attend Intensity
- 2:36Dance. We've been there before. We're
- 2:39going again. So, let's move on to the
- 2:41pyramid. First,
- 2:45Mackenzie.
- 2:4711 points between you
- 2:49and the next person.
- 2:5111 points.
- 2:53Next on the pyramid,
- 2:55Nia.
- 2:56You weren't feeling well.
- 2:58We can blame that. You know how to
- 2:59perform.
- 3:01But the legs get sloppy, the feet get
- 3:03sloppy, the arms get sloppy.
- 3:06Next I have
- 3:08Paige.
- 3:09Your arms
- 3:12out of control. I tell you, you still do
- 3:14it wrong.
- 3:16Next,
- 3:18Maddie.
- 3:19You did four turns in the corner.
- 3:22Stunning. And you bobble on
- 3:24simple, easy things.
- 3:31I threw you a lifeline. You must have
- 3:33missed it.
- 3:34Next,
- 3:36Kendall.
- 3:37Remember I told you before your mom
- 3:39could hurt you or she could help you.
- 3:42This week she helped you. Kendall is
- 3:44second on the pyramid this week, one
- 3:46spot away from Maddie. This is great.
- 3:48Only one spot away from the top and I'm
- 3:50not going to stop until she gets there.
- 3:52She wants you right on Maddie's heels,
- 3:55chomping at the bit. I think that's a
- 3:57good thing. That seems a little
- 3:58cutthroat, but teaches them. If dance
- 4:01competitions aren't cutthroat, I don't
- 4:03know what is. I'm quite taken by Abby
- 4:05praising Jill for using certain tactics
- 4:07to get Kendall ahead on a pyramid. I
- 4:09think they're cutthroat and I think
- 4:11they're devious. I'd rather have my kid
- 4:12low on the pyramid. And now, the top of
- 4:15the pyramid,
- 4:16Brooke.
- 4:20Brooke's at the top of the pyramid
- 4:21because she deserved to be there. Her
- 4:23solo was amazing. She was the leader in
- 4:25the group dance. Her parts with Maddie
- 4:28were amazing.
- 4:29She is on the top of the pyramid because
- 4:31she deserved it.
- 4:33And Brooke, don't forget, the person on
- 4:35top of the pyramid always has a target
- 4:37on their back. You're the one to knock
- 4:39down a peg.
- 4:42Yes.
- 4:43What about me? What about you?
- 4:46How come I'm not on the pyramid? You're
- 4:48on suspension.
- 4:51What this kid doesn't realize is that
- 4:53she's working harder now. She's starting
- 4:55to think, you know what? Maybe my mother
- 4:58crossed the line.
- 4:59I need to get back in Abby's good graces
- 5:02and the way to do that is to work hard
- 5:04in class.
- 5:06The name of the group routine
- 5:08is don't ask,
- 5:10just tell. Now, this is a term that was
- 5:13used in the military.
- 5:15And we're going to try to tell this
- 5:17story on stage.
- 5:18The theme of the group number this week
- 5:21is the former military policy don't ask,
- 5:24don't tell. Some brave hero fighting for
- 5:27our freedom
- 5:29could be just charged from the military
- 5:31just for being gay. But this is my take
- 5:33on it. I don't want any secrets or lies.
- 5:36I want these kids to be truthful with
- 5:38themselves. I want them to let it all
- 5:40out. I also have a few solos. The first
- 5:42will be Brooke.
- 5:46My next solo
- 5:48goes to Kendall.
- 5:52Maybe those PRIVATES OUT IN THE HALLWAY
- 5:53paid off.
- 5:56I have one more solo to give.
- 6:02Maddie,
- 6:04you will be performing Uphill Battle.
- 6:07And your battle is uphill.
- 6:08Don't settle for second.
- 6:11At this point, I'm going to dismiss you
- 6:13from pyramid. Please go ahead and exit
- 6:15the door.
- 6:16I would like you to sit in the den and
- 6:18warm up. Moms, I'd like you to take the
- 6:21place of your daughters.
- 6:23You don't like me to yell at your kids.
- 6:25You don't like me to raise my voice or
- 6:27to get angry or to be mean. If you think
- 6:30that being all nice and sweet is going
- 6:32to get your kids to the next level,
- 6:34you're dumber than I thought.
- 6:36If you're good with your kids being
- 6:37second, this is the wrong place for you.
- 6:40When they step out on stage, they need
- 6:43to be brilliant.
- 6:45And they're not.
- 6:46If your kids want to do this and want to
- 6:50succeed, they need to get back to the
- 6:52basics.
- 6:53They need to forget all the other things
- 6:55and they need to focus. I want them to
- 6:58be the best that they can be, but they
- 7:01have to want it, too.
- 7:03All right, you're dismissed. And tell
- 7:05them when they get back in here, they
- 7:07better be marching.
- 7:10Come here. Come here. Listen to me. You
- 7:12go in there and you be amazing.
- 7:14Okay? You make her see you because she
- 7:18can't help but look at you because
- 7:19you're so amazing.
- 7:20Okay.
- 7:22Watching Chloe raise her hand and ask
- 7:23Abby what about her on that pyramid is
- 7:26so hard for me. I give her a lot of
- 7:28credit for having the courage to stand
- 7:30up and say, "Don't forget about me."
- 7:37And halt, about face. You don't even
- 7:39know what that is.
- 7:41Boot camp, sit-ups, push-ups,
- 7:44conditioning. These kids need to start
- 7:47working again. They need to be sweating,
- 7:52bleeding, crying.
- 7:55They have to want it bad. I chose this
- 7:58routine because every single one of you
- 8:00has to get back to the basics. Where is
- 8:03the technique? Where is the love of
- 8:05dance? Where is the passion for
- 8:07performing?
- 8:12So, I went to the gym today and I stayed
- 8:13home all day and I was online all day
- 8:15looking for a place for Greg and I to go
- 8:17on a honeymoon. Wait, what?
- 8:19A yeah, yeah, just just a little one,
- 8:21you know. You're wearing a wedding band.
- 8:23Are you married?
- 8:25Melissa's wearing a wedding ring, but
- 8:26last time I checked, she's not married.
- 8:28You're not even supposed to have your
- 8:29wedding band on your finger.
- 8:31Are you going to get married soon?
- 8:33Yeah.
- 8:34Hmm.
- 8:35Are we invited? No, she already told us,
- 8:37remember? No, it's just going to be us.
- 8:39It's just going to be a really little
- 8:40wedding.
- 8:40You're not going to take your kids?
- 8:41not that many people. Just us.
- 8:43Can you not put Abby on the guest list?
- 8:46Can you imagine Abby at Melissa's
- 8:47wedding? I mean, really. I feel sorry
- 8:49for anyone who has to wrestle her for
- 8:51that bouquet. How can we help? Last time
- 8:53we tried to do something like a
- 8:54stripper, you weren't really all that
- 8:56interested.
- 8:57He had love handles.
- 8:58Can we take you dress shopping? I think
- 9:00that'd be so fun. The last time we took
- 9:02you dress shopping, Holly and I were the
- 9:04ones that tried on the wedding dresses.
- 9:06AND I'M NOT TRYING ANYTHING on this
- 9:07time.
- 9:09Girls, the name of this routine
- 9:11is don't ask, just tell. This is 2013.
- 9:16Be proud of yourself. You want to win
- 9:18the war, don't you?
- 9:19Let's get ready.
- 9:22We all know about the military reference
- 9:25don't ask, don't tell. But my take on
- 9:27that, I want everybody to tell. I want
- 9:31kids to be proud of who they are. I want
- 9:33everybody in this world to speak up and
- 9:35take a stand for themselves.
- 9:37So, we're entitling this routine don't
- 9:40ask, just tell.
- 9:42What story does that dance tell you
- 9:44right there? I think that Abby is
- 9:46showing her support to the gay
- 9:47community. Gay? I never got that out of
- 9:50this. Isn't it like don't ask, don't
- 9:51tell?
- 9:53What did you do?
- 9:55I Get on the floor. Give her the floor
- 9:57parts so she can get up with you.
- 10:02No, I took the side aerial out. Do the
- 10:04cartwheel step I can't spray. No,
- 10:06Gianna.
- 10:071 2 step together stand up. Yes?
- 10:12The hip hop number this week is really
- 10:13hard. Mackenzie's struggling a little
- 10:16bit.
- 10:17You know, but she looks adorable in it.
- 10:18Why did you do the leg thing that you
- 10:20can't do? I changed it cuz you couldn't
- 10:23do it. You better shape
- 10:26or ship out.
- 10:29You know, I still take great offense to
- 10:31Abby praising Jill. I don't think that
- 10:33was right. Nia and Kendall were both in
- 10:36the duet together yet one gets to move
- 10:39up the pyramid and one stays way at the
- 10:41bottom. But she even said she said
- 10:43sometimes your mother can hurt you but
- 10:44in this case your mother helped you.
- 10:45Yeah, that's exactly what she taught in
- 10:47there today.
- 10:48That's what she said. That's what she
- 10:49did. You moved up the pyramid because
- 10:51you snuck behind your friend's back and
- 10:53got a private to better yourself.
- 10:55I'm not a snake. I don't know. The last
- 10:57week was sneaky. Jill approaches life as
- 11:00a competition. So, I think if there's
- 11:02any opportunity for a child to move
- 11:04forward or advance, Jill's always
- 11:06strategizing for Kendall to move ahead.
- 11:08Holly, if you feel Nia needed help with
- 11:10something who am I to stop you from
- 11:13getting that help?
- 11:14Who am I to say you're sneaky?
- 11:15Did you invite Nia to be part of a
- 11:17private for the duet?
- 11:18funny it wasn't a private. I did invite
- 11:20Gia.
- 11:21This was about a duet, not having one
- 11:23child outshine another in the duet. It's
- 11:25not a solo.
- 11:26believe you're still stuck on this. I am
- 11:28not done. It's it's done. It's over.
- 11:31No, I'm entitled to have my opinion.
- 11:32And I'm entitled to my Why are you
- 11:34entitled Holly and not me? You're
- 11:35entitled to your wrong opinion. That's
- 11:37fine. Bam.
- 11:40I've nothing to hide. And all those moms
- 11:42know I'll do whatever it takes to get
- 11:44Kendall to the top of the pyramid. Okay,
- 11:47it's not a secret and it's not a lie.
- 11:49Deal with it.
- 11:59Do we have any um dates yet for our
- 12:01concert? Yeah, we have some dates we're
- 12:04trying to iron out the floor cuz I'm in
- 12:06a different place. So, it's like I have
- 12:08to bring the Marley
- 12:09yeah, hold on one second. She's right
- 12:11here. Abby. Who is it?
- 12:13Some guy. Hello. Oh, hi. How are you?
- 12:20Abby gets a phone call and she starts
- 12:23being really giddy and I don't know
- 12:25who's on the other line, but I know it's
- 12:26a guy.
- 12:27I know. How are you? She's giggly. And
- 12:31did you see how she acted when it's a
- 12:32guy like
- 12:35What is she doing on the phone? She
- 12:37always yells at us for even looking at
- 12:38our phones and she's down there blah
- 12:40blah blah. I hope she didn't lose my
- 12:41number.
- 12:42Whoever she's talking to she looks
- 12:43happy. Look at her. Maybe she called
- 12:45Jill's 900 number.
- 12:47Talk with it. If you notice I haven't
- 12:49had that in a while.
- 12:52No one is rehearsing. Not a solo is
- 12:54being rehearsed. Not a group dance is
- 12:56being rehearsed. It's like a total waste
- 12:58of time. These kids could be doing
- 12:59something. The girls should be running
- 13:01their solos. So, you're supposed to
- 13:03leave tomorrow but you're staying so we
- 13:05can go out. Well, that's nice. We want
- 13:07to know who she's
- 13:08talking to. I just want to tell you what
- 13:10happened. Her phone rings. Gia answers
- 13:12it
- 13:13and it's some man.
- 13:16I'm kind of excited for Abby. A guy
- 13:18would be great for her. Whatever keeps
- 13:20Abby happy is good for all of us. She's
- 13:23still talking.
- 13:24She walked She got up and left me in the
- 13:26dust. It's probably cuz it's the first
- 13:27boy who's ever called her.
- 13:28I might be a little rusty. I haven't
- 13:30been out in a while. I need a little
- 13:31hubba hubba. That's that's definitely
- 13:33right.
- 13:34I hope she goes on a date. Maybe she'll
- 13:35get laid so she's not so miserable.
- 13:37The kids are in the room ready for
- 13:39rehearsal and Abby's out there on the
- 13:41phone. She's always on them for not
- 13:43being prepared and here they are they're
- 13:45ready to rehearse and she's out there on
- 13:47the phone. Like get off the phone and
- 13:49practice what you preach.
- 13:56Oh god, MAKE ME PUKE.
- 14:00COME ON, LET'S GO FIND OUT WHO IT IS. I
- 14:02DON'T WANT TO KNOW who she was on the
- 14:03phone. You guys definitely could care
- 14:05less.
- 14:06I so don't want to know what's going on
- 14:08with Abby's love life. I mean talk about
- 14:09don't ask just tell. I don't want her to
- 14:11tell me anything because the images that
- 14:13come to mind are horrifying. Okay, well
- 14:15thank you for calling. I look forward to
- 14:17seeing you. WE'RE INVESTIGATING
- 14:20WHAT? WE LOVE HOW GIGGLY you were. Oh.
- 14:24We don't know she SEEMS SO HAPPY. WELL,
- 14:27YOU KNOW YOU TOOK me on that speed
- 14:28dating thing.
- 14:29No, no no no no. But when I left there
- 14:33I went the other way to get on the
- 14:35parkway to go home and I stopped at a
- 14:38the at a gas station and I met this guy
- 14:41that was standing there right next to me
- 14:42pumping gas. Did he offer to pump your
- 14:44gas? YES, HE DID.
- 14:47WELL, LET'S help Abby prepare for HER
- 14:49DATE. NO.
- 14:53OH, YOU CAN BE IN CHARGE of her clothes.
- 14:55And you can do her makeup. I can do her
- 14:56makeup. I can DO HER HAIR.
- 14:59IT'S LIKE MOE, LARRY, AND CURLY are
- 15:00going to help me. I don't think so.
- 15:02I'm going to go get my nails done.
- 15:04That's it.
- 15:05I'm not getting them done because I have
- 15:06a date. I'm getting them done because
- 15:08they need done. Okay, that's good. We
- 15:09can We can start with that. All right,
- 15:11that sounds like fun.
- 15:13Here you go.
- 15:14Here you go. These moms are ridiculous.
- 15:17I don't need nor do I want their help.
- 15:20I've been on plenty of dates before.
- 15:28Come on, Kendall. Get in here. Let's go.
- 15:31Don't look down at the floor when you
- 15:32walk around. Kendall's solo is entitled
- 15:35Secrets and Lies. Kendall, you need to
- 15:37tell that audience that you are keeping
- 15:40a big secret. Legs together. Your ankles
- 15:42are separated. I'm so excited that Abby
- 15:46is giving Kendall a solo this week.
- 15:47GET A PLIé IN THERE. YOU'RE NOT EVEN
- 15:49TURNED OUT.
- 15:50THE more opportunities this kid has the
- 15:53better she is going to be.
- 15:57Okay, there's You're just dead in the
- 15:58face. You're dead in the face. It's what
- 16:01you make it on the stage. You get out
- 16:02there and you look like some scared
- 16:03little kid
- 16:05not going to have too many more solos.
- 16:07I need to see this. If you want to be
- 16:10Maddie and your mother wants you to be
- 16:11Maddie, then you need to get the face.
- 16:13Each dancer has their own unique style.
- 16:17And I understand that Abby wants Kendall
- 16:20to dance like Maddie. I want Kendall to
- 16:22dance like Maddie. However, you don't
- 16:24want a canned presentation where every
- 16:26single kid looks exactly the same.
- 16:30Go.
- 16:37Come on, EVERYBODY. LET'S GO.
- 16:40GIRLS, LET'S GO. LET'S GO.
- 16:44I hurt my You hurt your foot?
- 16:49Where's my kids?
- 16:51Group rehearsal is starting again.
- 16:53Mackenzie is not in the rehearsal and I
- 16:56have to see what's going on. Kenz, I'm
- 16:57coming. What's wrong, honey?
- 17:00I think I should go home. Okay, but
- 17:02honey, but don't cry. Why are you
- 17:04crying? I don't want to let her down.
- 17:06Aw, honey, I know you don't. But you're
- 17:08not letting Miss Abby down. It'll let
- 17:09her down if you hurt it worse.
- 17:12And she understands that. So, how about
- 17:14we get some ice on it? It's okay, you
- 17:15just need to rest it. Mackenzie actually
- 17:18hurt her foot 2 weeks ago and she's been
- 17:20really, you know, limping and she's not
- 17:22doing well at all. How's your foot,
- 17:24honey?
- 17:25What happened?
- 17:27I'm so sad for Mackenzie because I think
- 17:29this dance probably the best dance that
- 17:32she's ever done. And she really shines
- 17:33in the dance. So, she's so
- 17:35broken-hearted.
- 17:36Yes?
- 17:38I just want to tell you this is
- 17:39Mackenzie's probably most favorite
- 17:40dance. She hurt her foot doing a back
- 17:43tuck on pointe, but it's not even
- 17:44swollen. I don't know what's really
- 17:46wrong with Mackenzie's foot. I kind of
- 17:48have to see how she's moving. Maybe it's
- 17:50all in her head. Maybe she just doesn't
- 17:52want to be in the group routine. Maybe
- 17:54she doesn't want to be the reason they
- 17:56don't win. Do you want to see what she
- 17:57can do and then
- 17:58So, she either needs to do it or she's
- 18:00out. I need to I need to work on it
- 18:02without her.
- 18:02Okay, got it.
- 18:04Miss Abby wants you to put your your
- 18:05boots on, Kenz. Just go in and see what
- 18:07you can do, okay? See try to do the
- 18:09dance. Okay? Why Why is she having
- 18:12Mackenzie do the dance if she's hurt?
- 18:15Face, Mackenzie. Face. And I think
- 18:17Melissa said no no she loves the dance.
- 18:19I love
- 18:21pointe numbers and that doesn't mean I
- 18:22can do them. Uh
- 18:25I don't know what's quite going on
- 18:26because like a second ago Mackenzie was
- 18:28crying that her foot hurt and now she's
- 18:30rehearsing with the group.
- 18:32Watch your line. You're in a You're not
- 18:33in A WINDOW. YOU'RE RIGHT BEHIND MADDIE.
- 18:35GET THE WINDOW, KENDALL. BE SMARTER. SO,
- 18:38you guys
- 18:39we're going to have a little bridal
- 18:40shower
- 18:42for Melissa and take her dress shopping
- 18:44because she agreed. Last time we
- 18:46mentioned a ring we got a cease and
- 18:48desist. If we have a bridal shower we
- 18:49might get full on sued. No, I think it's
- 18:51different now. I'm sure. Did all the
- 18:53divorces go through?
- 18:56And I think she wants us to be a part of
- 18:57it now. Before maybe she didn't I don't
- 18:59I don't know. That's what we wanted to
- 19:01do last year with her and she wouldn't
- 19:03let us. She kind of
- 19:04was like back off. I think Melissa's in
- 19:06a better place with us now. She's
- 19:09letting some of her guards down and is
- 19:12actually opening up more.
- 19:14Okay, girls.
- 19:15You have one chance. That's the way it
- 19:18works. You all got lucky.
- 19:20Remember that.
- 19:22Do you think you can do the group dance?
- 19:24Cuz if you can't I need to take you out.
- 19:27No fooling around. No walking. No going
- 19:30to the mall walking on cement.
- 19:32If she's okay to dance she'll dance. If
- 19:34not, more work for you.
- 19:47Hi. I need to get my nails done.
- 19:50You getting them done for anything
- 19:51special? I don't know. I might have a
- 19:52date. Not sure. Oh. The only thing I do
- 19:55to pamper myself is my nails. That's it.
- 19:57Got to have them looking good.
- 19:58That's it. I don't get a lot of time
- 19:59away from the studio. So, if I see a
- 20:01chance to pamper myself, I take it.
- 20:04Yeah, isn't this great? This is great.
- 20:06are, the three blind mice. Hi.
- 20:09Are you having a little sip of wine?
- 20:11Jill, you know me. It's water. You
- 20:13should have This is relaxation. I know,
- 20:15but I have to go to the dance studio and
- 20:16deal with your children. You want me all
- 20:18liquored up? All the more reason. Be all
- 20:20liquored up. What you fail to realize is
- 20:22that you're usually not that happy at
- 20:23the studio. I'm not that happy cuz
- 20:25you're all there.
- 20:28Abby doesn't want to admit it, but she
- 20:30really needs our help. Oh, that might be
- 20:33nice, Abby. Jill, that looks Just bear
- 20:35with me. Jill, I got one thing going for
- 20:37me and it's cleavage.
- 20:39I'm not covering it up. She's trying to
- 20:41choke me to death. I'm 40-something
- 20:43years old. I can trust myself. You guys
- 20:45are making a big deal about this. It's
- 20:47just a little casual. I'm happy for you.
- 20:49still have dinner at the place. Now the
- 20:51moms want to live vicariously through me
- 20:54instead of their daughters. I mean, come
- 20:56on. Hasn't been that long since they've
- 20:58been on a date with their husbands?
- 20:59Well, this is like Abby's prom. I know.
- 21:02Oh, stop. You're ridiculous.
- 21:05Are you going to do something special
- 21:06with your hair?
- 21:08Like color it 50 shades of gray like
- 21:10you? I don't have gray hair.
- 21:12You know what? We're here to help Abby.
- 21:14It would be nice if she showed us a
- 21:16little gratitude. So, have you decided
- 21:18what you're wearing tonight?
- 21:19I'm going to wear a black shirt and I'm
- 21:20going to wear some rhinestone jewelry
- 21:21bling and I'm going to probably go to
- 21:23dinner and that's it. That sounds like
- 21:24what you wear to the dance studio.
- 21:26you going to do if he shows up with a
- 21:27baseball cap? He would He won't, Jill.
- 21:30He won't. He's cool. I keep telling you
- 21:32inside I'M LIKE A SIZE six Prada. You
- 21:34just don't get it. I like the LA guys.
- 21:36Like I like But I like the dumb jock
- 21:37guys, too, that have to go to the gym
- 21:39all the time and just
- 21:40So, he's not a dancer?
- 21:42know. I mean, that's a good question.
- 21:43I'll have to ask him. I forgot. I don't
- 21:45know.
- 21:46Put a ring on it.
- 21:51MAYBE IT'S THE SHIRT.
- 21:54JILL, there's people here. This is just
- 21:56all too much. My personal life is my
- 21:59personal life. They need to worry about
- 22:01their girls working their butts off for
- 22:03the hip-hop routine. We got to get
- 22:04going, Abby. I'm so sorry that
- 22:06interrupted. You had to watch Jill bump
- 22:08and grind and I love it. I thought that
- 22:10you do it. Bye, ladies. This is so
- 22:12beautiful. They really want to help you
- 22:14get ready. They're nuts.
- 22:25Then step through. Maddie's doing a new
- 22:27solo called uphill battle. This is a
- 22:29little different than what she usually
- 22:30does. It's hard-hitting. It's edgy. It's
- 22:33a little darker. Toes out there on that.
- 22:36I'm watching Maddie and her dance looks
- 22:38great. Lots of new things in her dance,
- 22:41which I think is great. Maddie looks on
- 22:43YouTube and you know, always wants to
- 22:45try something new.
- 22:46So, it's exciting.
- 22:49That's Maddie's going to go out on that
- 22:51stage and have to really be over the top
- 22:54with her emotional execution. It's like
- 22:56you're fighting an uphill battle.
- 22:58Get it?
- 22:59All right. I'll see you tomorrow.
- 23:01Bye.
- 23:08So,
- 23:08but what else are you wearing besides
- 23:09black? I thought you were going to wear
- 23:11a different color besides black. No.
- 23:13What about your neck? I've been teaching
- 23:14all day, Holly. I know, but I'm just
- 23:17going to grab something to eat. You look
- 23:18great. You need red red lipstick. Oh,
- 23:20red lipstick is good. You need red
- 23:21lipstick. Jill, I've been doing this a
- 23:23long time.
- 23:25Hello. Hi. Can I help you? Um I'm here
- 23:27for Abby. Pick up Abby. Okay, what's
- 23:29your name?
- 23:29Louis. Louis. Okay.
- 23:32Where did you get that? You're ruining
- 23:34your look. Oh my god.
- 23:39I have Tic Tacs. Just saying. I don't
- 23:40have the Tic Tacs. Maybe you can save it
- 23:42for later. You never know.
- 23:44It's the first date. I didn't RUN A
- 23:46CREDIT CHECK.
- 23:48YOU NEVER KNOW.
- 23:50THESE MOMS ARE MAKING such a big deal
- 23:52out of this. It's not the senior prom.
- 23:54It's dinner with some guy I'm probably
- 23:56never going to see again.
- 23:58Moms, calm down.
- 24:01A nice handshake or a kiss on the cheek
- 24:03is just fine. Did you put the odorant
- 24:05on?
- 24:06I don't sweat. I Listen.
- 24:10Your date IS HERE.
- 24:12WE'LL BE LIKE THE WELCOME WAGON.
- 24:15OH, HI.
- 24:17HELLO. Are you here to see Abby? Yes.
- 24:20Jill, so
- 24:21he's going to hate his jeans.
- 24:23Should I take them off? No, we don't
- 24:26I think you look really nice. It's the
- 24:28whole But I fell in the pothole in the
- 24:30parking lot. I like him already. So,
- 24:33like the story she told was amazing that
- 24:35you two just happened to be pumping gas
- 24:37Yeah, I helped her pump her gas.
- 24:40I'm very helpful. She likes helpers. She
- 24:42likes helpers. Oh, yes. She likes likes
- 24:44to snap her fingers and let people
- 24:46do everything for her. Oh, really? And
- 24:48she'll talk a lot about herself. I know.
- 24:51Pull out her chair at the restaurant.
- 24:54I always do that anyway. Okay, good.
- 24:56And she did that. Pull out her chair at
- 24:58the restaurant and be a gentleman. Yes.
- 24:59I would like that.
- 25:01I think he's all right. Okay, good. All
- 25:03right. I think he looks good. It was
- 25:04nice meeting I like you, too.
- 25:11We met him. Oh, you did? He's really
- 25:13sweet. Very stylish. He has a bow tie
- 25:15on. And he has a nice
- 25:17He's dressed? And he No jeans. Jeans?
- 25:19He's playing. He's clean.
- 25:22He's good. Did you make him cough, too?
- 25:24I went How tall is he? Not very tall.
- 25:27You might be taller. Oh, no.
- 25:29No, he's not that tall. Did you not see
- 25:31him in the car? He said, "Want some
- 25:33help? I'll take care of it." I said,
- 25:35"Fine." Oh.
- 25:36So, he wasn't like standing next to him.
- 25:39Louis, we forgot to ask. I think he's
- 25:40Italian. What would you say? Oh, I don't
- 25:42know. I think he's very excited about
- 25:44your date. Oh, well, it's just dinner,
- 25:46girls. So, have fun. Enjoy. And thank
- 25:49you.
- 25:50Hey, how you doing? Hello. Hello. Louis
- 25:53is not exactly as how I remember him.
- 25:55He's much uh more petite. You ready?
- 25:59Yeah, I am, but I You know what? I don't
- 26:00know where my purse is.
- 26:03Do you have it? Okay.
- 26:05It's hard. I've been teaching all day.
- 26:06Right on.
- 26:07All right. Where are we going? We're uh
- 26:09right down the road. Okay, cool. Thank
- 26:11you. See you, honey. Bye-bye.
- 26:14Bye-bye. Are your friends No, they're
- 26:15not my friends. They're my customers.
- 26:18Little kiss goodnight.
- 26:26So, have you been here before? No, but I
- 26:28did rent the whole joint out.
- 26:30What? Cuz I'm a sweetheart. Thank you.
- 26:33Well, that's nice. Good. Then we don't
- 26:36have to worry about being loud. Now, be
- 26:37as loud as you want.
- 26:39Hey, this is really nice. There's a
- 26:41candlelit table in the corner.
- 26:44I'm ready to be wined and dined. So,
- 26:46what uh
- 26:47what is your type of guy? What are you
- 26:48looking for? I want same type of guy
- 26:50everybody else is looking for. Oh.
- 26:53Somebody that's honest,
- 26:54makes an honest living, works hard at
- 26:56their job, passionate. So, you're not in
- 26:59a relationship right now, obviously.
- 27:01Well,
- 27:02kind of have a long distance. We all
- 27:04have a long distance. Mhm.
- 27:06It's good to have a long distance.
- 27:09It keeps it out there.
- 27:11So, I'm writing a book. You're writing a
- 27:12book? I am going to write a book. I'm
- 27:13writing a book. Oh, really? It's about
- 27:15relationships. I'm very good. I see I'm
- 27:18I'm on the verge of figuring women out.
- 27:30So, my book will help.
- 27:35I like a guy that can make me laugh.
- 27:37There's not enough laughter in my life.
- 27:39And frankly, I like to have fun.
- 27:42This is the chef's specialty. It's
- 27:44chocolate eruption. Eruption?
- 27:47Wow. One of my favorite words. It is.
- 27:50It's one of my 12 favorite words. Oh,
- 27:51really? What did you name them? Not on
- 27:53right now.
- 27:55Enjoy. Yeah, the first bite.
- 28:02Is that good?
- 28:06So, tell me about your dance background.
- 28:07Yeah, dance back I had a slight dance
- 28:09background. Tell me. Um
- 28:13Yeah.
- 28:14Yeah, I was a male stripper. No, you
- 28:16weren't. Yeah, for a little bit.
- 28:19They made me do it.
- 28:20Come on. Are we going to dance on this
- 28:22table? No, I am not dancing on this
- 28:23table. Why? I'll break it. Wuss.
- 28:26I am 180 lbs of twisted steel and sex
- 28:29appeal. This This table will crack.
- 28:32Twisted steel and sex appeal. I'm just
- 28:34saying.
- 28:43Hey, Abby. Hey.
- 28:47It's like the evil stepsisters. Holly,
- 28:50Melissa, and Jill are relentless. They
- 28:52want to know ALL ABOUT MY DATE. LADIES,
- 28:55none of your business. Okay, so tell us
- 28:57what happened on your Yeah, let us come
- 28:58in and check in. Normally, I would drive
- 29:00my own car, my own keys, my own
- 29:02transportation. He drove you. Just
- 29:05saying.
- 29:06Just saying. Was he smaller than you?
- 29:09Not even a
- 29:13Well, I'm glad you had fun. I'm glad
- 29:15Where did you go? What did you do? We
- 29:16went over to that uh Flowers in the
- 29:18Attic, that restaurant. Oh, that was so
- 29:20romantic. It It's charming. I don't I
- 29:22don't know.
- 29:25I'm not a big antique-y kind of girl. I
- 29:27like clean, modern. Yes, you do. You
- 29:30know. But it was very nice. He was funny
- 29:32and we I laughed. Aw, what was that? I I
- 29:37I haven't laughed in a long time and I
- 29:39really laughed. It was so funny. I think
- 29:41I was kind of laughing at him instead of
- 29:42with him, but you know.
- 29:45He thought that he was just hot stuff.
- 29:48He referred to himself as
- 29:50180 lbs of twisted steel and sex appeal.
- 29:55You know he's a former male stripper.
- 29:57Shut up.
- 29:58When I found out that he was a former
- 30:01professional dancer, I was like, "Who
- 30:03did you tour with? Celine Dion?"
- 30:06You know, come on. Do I see Louis in my
- 30:08future?
- 30:09I don't know. I need more laughter in my
- 30:11life. So, I might just keep him around.
- 30:14I'll tell you what. I didn't care if I
- 30:17ever saw another kid dance. I was so
- 30:19glad to get out of the studio last
- 30:21night.
- 30:22Let's just say I teach the girls almost
- 30:25everything.
- 30:27I
- 30:29love that.
- 30:32Okay.
- 30:33Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
- 30:42Hey Brooke, how you doing?
- 30:44Good. You're going to Minnesota.
- 30:46This is where the dance studios are that
- 30:48have 1,200 students, 2,000 students. So,
- 30:52you're going to be up against some
- 30:53pretty amazing kids. The name of your
- 30:55routine is arm yourself. They're not
- 30:57talking about your arms.
- 31:00They're talking about
- 31:01have your secret weapon.
- 31:03Know how to get out of a situation.
- 31:06Yes? So, let's see it.
- 31:11Brooke knows that she was born to be a
- 31:12dancer. She knows that she can do
- 31:15acrobatic tricks that not too many
- 31:16people can do.
- 31:18Roll forward and hold. Collapse, bend
- 31:22that knee, arch up.
- 31:24Hold.
- 31:25But I keep throwing her on top of that
- 31:26pyramid hoping someday she might just
- 31:29rise to the occasion.
- 31:40Okay Brooke, you're finished.
- 31:42Good work. I will see you tomorrow and
- 31:44we need to finish tomorrow
- 31:46cuz you only have two more days before
- 31:48you're in Minnesota against all those
- 31:50amazing kids. Be prepared. Arm yourself.
- 31:53Get it?
- 31:55The more information you have,
- 31:57the stronger you can be. Okay.
- 32:08I decided to get Kendall some new and
- 32:11improved headshots. Something maybe a
- 32:14little different and a little bit
- 32:15snappier than the others. I want
- 32:18something dynamic. I want something that
- 32:20jumps off that pyramid and says, "Here I
- 32:23am. I want to be number one." Yeah,
- 32:26that's right. I think you're pulling on
- 32:28my hair.
- 32:28Sorry. I know that Kendall gets a little
- 32:30uptight when I'm always fixing her hair.
- 32:32Could you shush, Mom? It's hard being
- 32:35beautiful. I want her to look her 100%
- 32:38best. It's my job as her mom to get in
- 32:40there and make sure that happens. That's
- 32:43good right there. That's it. Good, good.
- 32:45Turn your head a little bit. Perfect.
- 32:47What a great shot, Kendall. That's
- 32:48beautiful.
- 32:49You nailed it. I would love for other
- 32:51opportunities to come from this. I would
- 32:54love for her to show up in commercials,
- 32:56do some print work, anything. Does that
- 32:58look like a superstar to you?
- 33:00Be happy with that. That's it. Very
- 33:02nice. The sky's the limit and now is the
- 33:04time. I've got to take advantage of this
- 33:06beautiful little girl right now. Okay.
- 33:08Can I get one with Kendall? Can I get
- 33:10in?
- 33:10Sure, that'd be awesome.
- 33:11Go ahead, snuggle in there with her for
- 33:13one. That's very nice. Grab another.
- 33:15What a great shot. You're going to
- 33:16airbrush me, right? Uh-huh. One, two,
- 33:19three. Nicely done.
- 33:21Here, hop up one sec.
- 33:25That's it. Good. Good, good, good. Turn
- 33:27your head to your left one little notch.
- 33:29Very nice.
- 33:35Melissa, I'm excited and actually a
- 33:37little surprised that you agreed to do
- 33:38this.
- 33:39Why? Uh because last time we tried to
- 33:42take you to a wedding shop, you were
- 33:43like I was like
- 33:45a year ago. Don't speak to me about
- 33:46weddings and here's a letter for my
- 33:48attorney. It wasn't that long ago that
- 33:50just asking about Melissa's diamond on
- 33:53her hand, you know, resulted in us
- 33:55getting a letter threatening draconian
- 33:57legal action and now we want to take her
- 33:59to buy a dress? Like, are you ladies
- 34:02serious? We're friends now, so things
- 34:04are a little different. And it's Hey, I
- 34:06thought I was your friend then.
- 34:08You were my friend then. I'm inviting
- 34:10all the moms into my life a little more
- 34:12and, you know,
- 34:14we're kind of open books now. We tell
- 34:15each other everything.
- 34:23Oh, thank you.
- 34:26This is for you.
- 34:28Thank you. This is for you. I wanted
- 34:30Melissa to feel good about herself.
- 34:32There's no reason
- 34:34to hold grudges or be worried about
- 34:37secrets. Let's just put the past behind
- 34:40us and move forward and make this good.
- 34:47Jill is very competitive, even when it
- 34:49comes to a bridal shower. So, going to
- 34:52look at wedding dresses, who brings in
- 34:54the best desserts, who gets to help
- 34:56Melissa try on a gown, whose idea was
- 34:59it. Everything can be a competition, so
- 35:02I'm not surprised that Jill has this
- 35:03take-charge kind of attitude. Look at
- 35:06Holly.
- 35:07Aw.
- 35:08Aw, this is a pretty one. Aw, you're so
- 35:10thoughtful, Holly. It is Holly.
- 35:12That is beautiful.
- 35:16Is this Is this from Kristen?
- 35:17for me. Mhm, there's a little card in
- 35:19there. I wanted this. Aw, da-da.
- 35:21DA-DA. WAIT NOW, BUT YOU HAVE to take it
- 35:23out of the box and hold it up. I love
- 35:25it.
- 35:26This is from Jill. Aw.
- 35:29Aw.
- 35:30Thank you. I feel young.
- 35:33This is from Kelly. Aw, just married.
- 35:36Isn't that pretty? I got the one that
- 35:38said just married cuz I was confused cuz
- 35:40you wear your wedding band all the time.
- 35:41I wasn't sure if I missed the wedding or
- 35:43not.
- 35:46I don't know why Melissa is so
- 35:47secretive. You know, it's like she's
- 35:50afraid. Like, what are you afraid of,
- 35:52Melissa? Why won't you tell us? I like
- 35:54my ring. I think it's bad luck to wear
- 35:56the wedding band as you're trying on the
- 35:57dress. And that bottle just goes with
- 35:59it. It's your favorite wine. Oh, good.
- 36:01Thank you. If I did decide to have a
- 36:03wedding, it's just going to be very
- 36:04intimate and it's just going to be
- 36:06basically my family and I. Let's
- 36:08practice tossing the bouquet. Okay.
- 36:10Okay. Oh god. Come on. Jill will kill a
- 36:14to get that thing.
- 36:15Cuz it's all about the win.
- 36:17Well, put it this way. I could get it if
- 36:18I wanted it.
- 36:20We're a bunch of middle-aged women
- 36:22lunging for a bouquet. This could be
- 36:23potentially hazardous. Someone could
- 36:25BREAK A HIP.
- 36:31OH MY GOD.
- 36:33I THINK KELLY, HOLLY, AND I ARE HAVING A
- 36:34little too much fun at the bridal shop.
- 36:35If we keep going, I think we're all
- 36:37going to be trying on bride dresses.
- 36:39Do you have an idea as to what dress you
- 36:41want? I wanted kind of something simple.
- 36:44Um Something slim, something sexy,
- 36:46something a little bit Uh um Well, sexy.
- 36:48That's how you met him. Yeah, I like
- 36:50that.
- 36:50Uh with like cleavage at the bust here.
- 36:52We know he LIKES THAT.
- 36:54WOO.
- 36:55LET'S TRY THIS ONE ON. OKAY, here she
- 36:58comes.
- 37:00I don't like it, but I'm going to show
- 37:01you.
- 37:03It's not my It's not really what I'm
- 37:04looking for. Definitely going to need
- 37:06bigger than a six.
- 37:07Oh, that's pretty. That's pretty, too.
- 37:09It's pretty. I love the bottom. I love
- 37:13this dress.
- 37:14Pretty. You know what? Guess what color
- 37:15this comes in? What? Pink.
- 37:19Aw, that's pretty. I love that one, too.
- 37:21Yeah, that one's beautiful. I think that
- 37:24that dress would be amazing if you were
- 37:25like 23
- 37:28and a virgin.
- 37:31I think all of these dresses that
- 37:32Melissa's trying on are beautiful and
- 37:35they're very pure and I think when
- 37:37you're on your third marriage, I don't
- 37:39know if they're the appropriate choice.
- 37:41This is the skinniest mirror in all of
- 37:43America.
- 37:44ass down and I love that
- 37:46mirror. How do you like we have to
- 37:48invite ourselves to be part of her
- 37:50wedding party? Me of all people probably
- 37:52shouldn't be part of the wedding party.
- 37:54I don't really think I should
- 37:55considering that we usually fight like
- 37:57cats and dogs. Yeah, Abby's probably her
- 37:59maid of honor. Who's Abby?
- 38:00We won't have fun if Abby's there. No
- 38:03kidding. Melissa, you cannot invite
- 38:06Abby. It won't be fun. Hey, I'm naked.
- 38:09Oh, why are you naked? Are you wearing
- 38:12undies? Um just my Spanx. Well, you're
- 38:14ready one step ahead of Kelly.
- 38:18Going dress shopping with Melissa is
- 38:21really a turning point, I think, for all
- 38:23of us. The fact that we were there and
- 38:25we were able to share in her joy, that's
- 38:26huge.
- 38:30You're shut up, you lush.
- 38:36A few more drinks and I think Dr.
- 38:37Holly's going to be modeling, you know,
- 38:38wedding night lingerie.
- 38:43Oh, it's pretty. I love this dress.
- 38:46I'm sorry.
- 38:48It's done. It's done. Aw, it's done. I
- 38:51don't have the stress. Look how gorgeous
- 38:54this is. I I love this dress. You look
- 38:57like a princess. I just would love for
- 39:00Greg to see me in this dress. Well, he
- 39:02can't see you in this dress. It's bad
- 39:03luck.
- 39:03I meant when we're getting married.
- 39:05Aw.
- 39:07I feel fabulous in this dress and it was
- 39:09so sweet of the moms to take me dress
- 39:11shopping and I feel like a million
- 39:14bucks.
- 39:22Hi girls, how you doing?
- 39:24Good.
- 39:26I'm going to take Kenzie to the
- 39:27hospital, but I just wanted to drop
- 39:29Maddie off.
- 39:29What do you mean the hospital?
- 39:30Her foot is killing her. I thought you
- 39:32did the dance last night and it looked
- 39:33pretty good. Still bothering you?
- 39:37No, you need to get it looked at. Go to
- 39:38the hospital.
- 39:39It's going to be needles and all kind of
- 39:42stuff.
- 39:44Now I'm concerned that something might
- 39:45be broken in McKenzie's foot, so I'm
- 39:47going to leave Maddie here. I'm going to
- 39:49go take McKenzie to the hospital. Got
- 39:51it. I can't have a wounded soldier, can
- 39:53I?
- 39:55This is the ALDC.
- 40:01This is it. This is the last day.
- 40:03Tomorrow you're on a plane going to
- 40:04Minnesota. THIS IS ALL YOU GET, KID.
- 40:07You're going on that stage
- 40:09and Kendall be Chloe.
- 40:11She be Chloe? She can be you. Where is
- 40:13Melissa? Oh, she took McKenzie to the
- 40:15doctors. Oh, here. So she Is she not
- 40:18coming?
- 40:19Oh, you you're sliding right into her
- 40:20spot. No, just giving you a little
- 40:22wardrobe.
- 40:23God's sake, Jo. And I was just surprised
- 40:24because yesterday Melissa said she was
- 40:27fine and it wasn't that bad, so I was
- 40:28just
- 40:29her to do the group dance, remember?
- 40:30Exactly. So she's okay, she can do it. I
- 40:32didn't see anything. Nothing looked
- 40:34unusual during rehearsal. Everything
- 40:37looked fine. I didn't notice any injury
- 40:39or McKenzie getting hurt.
- 40:42Oh, Melissa's calling me. Hello.
- 40:45Hi. Hi.
- 40:47It's Abby.
- 40:48Can you pick Maddie up?
- 40:49Yeah. I thought she was okay.
- 40:52Well, I'm just worried that she won't be
- 40:55able to dance tonight. Yeah.
- 40:57Maddie says that Mom hurt Maddie and
- 40:59McKenzie when she fell and hurt her foot
- 41:01so bad.
- 41:03Oh.
- 41:03I'm just kind of worried that, you know,
- 41:05we were with Paige Yeah.
- 41:07and she's worried the same thing
- 41:10Well, it's not broken at all. Yeah.
- 41:12Yeah, Paige just
- 41:14didn't even cry. And it was broken.
- 41:16Yeah.
- 41:18No. All right. Well, tell her we're
- 41:19thinking of her. Okay. Thanks for taking
- 41:21Maddie. All right. And I'll just have
- 41:22her stay over.
- 41:24Okay. Thank you. Okay.
- 41:26All right. Talk to you later. Bye.
- 41:33SHOULDERS DOWN!
- 41:36I thought MELISSA LIKED THE BRIDAL
- 41:37SHOWER, didn't you guys? I do, too.
- 41:39Oh, I think she had a good time.
- 41:41I thought she had fun. Everybody likes
- 41:43that like that moment. Oh, yeah. Like
- 41:46you're like the We be men. But last year
- 41:49wasn't as much fun cuz she didn't try on
- 41:51any dresses. I mean, I tried on dresses
- 41:53even being engaged last year. Why does
- 41:55she wear her wedding band if she's not
- 41:58already married? I thought she was
- 41:59secretly married. Is that the secret
- 42:02you're trying to get out of her? You
- 42:03think she's married?
- 42:05I probably am the one who knows the
- 42:07least about Melissa's wedding details
- 42:09and I'd like to keep it that way because
- 42:10something says that she would sue me
- 42:12first.
- 42:17You need to make sure that you get still
- 42:22there's still a reaction there. It's
- 42:23like turn turn turn drop.
- 42:24It's never turn turn turn up fly drop.
- 42:29Up. Yes. Think. Okay? Have you heard
- 42:32from your mother?
- 42:34No, all I heard was she was taking
- 42:35McKenzie to the hospital. All right.
- 42:37Don't worry about your sister.
- 42:39It's not life or death. It's her foot.
- 42:41Worry about your feet. All right, get
- 42:43the group in here and get the boots on.
- 42:45Let's go.
- 42:46Do you think Kenzie can compete this
- 42:47weekend? What if she comes back with a
- 42:49boot? Paige still had to do a hip hop
- 42:51dance with a BOOT ON.
- 42:53REMEMBER?
- 42:55I FORGOT ABOUT THAT. She's shy. Well,
- 42:57the thing is with this hip hop dance,
- 42:59you have to be able to move really
- 43:01quickly and with confidence.
- 43:02Yeah, and she's got combat boots on. I'm
- 43:04not sure I recommend it whether it's
- 43:06broken or not.
- 43:07Absolutely. But that's why we wore
- 43:09combat boots in ours because
- 43:12Paige had the black boot on and it
- 43:13blended in.
- 43:15Hello.
- 43:17Okay, let's go. Let's go.
- 43:19This is the last day of rehearsal before
- 43:21competition. I need to get my girls
- 43:24ready to travel to Minnesota and go up
- 43:26against some of the best studios in the
- 43:29entire country.
- 43:31MORE FACIAL.
- 43:32COME ON, NIA.
- 43:35WE'RE DOING A HIP HOP number and that is
- 43:37well out of our comfort zone. So I need
- 43:40these girls to rise to the occasion and
- 43:42win. I just want to go over
- 43:45the story line here. You're
- 43:47my soldiers
- 43:49and it's called don't ask, just tell.
- 43:53And that's taken from the old slogan
- 43:55don't ask, don't tell. What What is I
- 43:57really don't know how to explain
- 43:59something like that.
- 44:00I don't think they really have a frame
- 44:01of reference.
- 44:03I think the kids really give a what the
- 44:04name of their dance is called. They just
- 44:06want to dance. Sometimes I think with
- 44:08the dance that they're doing it helps to
- 44:10understand the characters in the dance
- 44:12to really connect to that.
- 44:14But I would say that with this dance, I
- 44:15don't think
- 44:16that makes a difference. Gay military.
- 44:19So girls, don't ask, don't tell.
- 44:21Did anybody go home and talk to their
- 44:23mom about what that means? No?
- 44:25All right. I'm going to get your moms
- 44:26down here.
- 44:27Somewhere God is looking down going, "I
- 44:30made the right choice by not letting
- 44:31that woman be a mother."
- 44:33Follow us downstairs.
- 44:35I'm bringing my stuff.
- 44:35Okay, I'm going to take my purse. Head
- 44:37out. When I talked to the kids about the
- 44:39title of the routine, I just see blank
- 44:41faces staring back at me. They have no
- 44:44idea what I'm talking about and it's not
- 44:46my place to tell them.
- 44:48So I called the moms down because I want
- 44:50them to have a heart to heart with their
- 44:52kids and discuss some of this stuff. We
- 44:54live in a world where you should be free
- 44:57to love anybody you want. But just like
- 45:00the pyramid
- 45:01I'm dismissing the girls, not the moms.
- 45:03Go ahead and go. Thank you.
- 45:08This is the age they are better to be
- 45:11well educated
- 45:14and confident and comfortable talking
- 45:17about things. That's for you to discuss
- 45:19at home
- 45:20in your house.
- 45:22And I hope that you are respectful and
- 45:25open-minded. This is very much
- 45:29alive in the arts. Nia loved working
- 45:31with Shangela. Yes.
- 45:33I mean, that's as good as it gets, you
- 45:34know. Shangela is fabulous. Absolutely.
- 45:37Nia didn't even know that Shangela was a
- 45:38man for the longest time. Well, hi
- 45:41everyone.
- 45:42My name is Shangela. Did you explain
- 45:45what that is? We had to. I had to tell
- 45:47them. Absolutely.
- 45:49But I think
- 45:50had a great opportunity, thanks to you
- 45:52We explained it to the children and I
- 45:53explained it to Kelly.
- 45:55Abby keeps talking about acceptance and
- 45:57how we all need to be accepting. Well, I
- 45:59think Abby is the least accepting
- 46:01person, so maybe you ought to lead by
- 46:03example, Ab. Is that what the dance is
- 46:06about? Is having a voice and having
- 46:08strength and power? I was I I just
- 46:10Don't keep it a secret because secrets
- 46:12are lies.
- 46:14Tell the world
- 46:17and you'll feel that sense of freedom.
- 46:19So
- 46:20that's not the conversation I want to
- 46:21have with your daughters. I have enough
- 46:22trouble getting their legs straight and
- 46:24uh stretching their feet. That's a
- 46:26conversation that you all have to have
- 46:27with your daughters.
- 46:33Look at this.
- 46:36I'm going to wear this one. I'm going to
- 46:37wear the other hand.
- 46:39This is yours. No.
- 46:41What are you guys doing?
- 46:43We're just looking at the costumes.
- 46:44Yeah. So, do you know what this dance
- 46:47means?
- 46:48I don't really understand the dance.
- 46:49Well, it's it's talking about gay
- 46:51people, okay? And you guys, especially
- 46:54being in the dance world, there's a lot
- 46:56of boys that dance that are gay.
- 46:58And you never want to treat them
- 47:00differently. I mean, you can't help who
- 47:03you fall in love with.
- 47:04So, do you realize like what the don't
- 47:06ask, don't tell is? It's like if you're
- 47:08in the military and somebody they ask
- 47:10you, you you're not supposed to say
- 47:13whether you are or you aren't.
- 47:15What if you couldn't express how much
- 47:17you love dance? Wouldn't that make you
- 47:19feel bad?
- 47:21So, like that's why everybody should be
- 47:23able to express how they feel about
- 47:25anything or anyone. I just want you guys
- 47:28to grow up knowing it's
- 47:30everybody's choice
- 47:32to love who you want to love.
- 47:34So, you guys understand what this
- 47:35routine's about? Yes. Yeah.
- 47:38Are you guys okay with people being gay?
- 47:41A lot of gay people that I've met are a
- 47:42lot funnier and yeah, a lot more
- 47:45attractive. I think some of the best
- 47:47people in the world to be friends with
- 47:48are gay people.
- 47:49Okay.
- 47:50And anytime you guys want to talk about
- 47:53who you like, you can always talk to
- 47:54Mommy
- 47:55and Daddy.
- 47:56All right. I'm going to be like fast.
- 48:07Okay, Miss Maddie.
- 48:12Wonder how Kenzie is. Earlier Melissa
- 48:14took McKenzie to the hospital to get her
- 48:16foot checked out, so I have to drop
- 48:17Maddie off at home and plus I want to go
- 48:19in and see how McKenzie's foot is.
- 48:21I have a peanut for you. Hi. Hello. Hi,
- 48:25Mom.
- 48:26How is she?
- 48:28My goodness.
- 48:30They said they took X-rays and it's not
- 48:32broken or anything.
- 48:34She sprained it. They said 72 hours no
- 48:37dance.
- 48:39Sometimes a sprain is worse than a
- 48:40break. That's what everybody says to me.
- 48:42Oh my goodness. So, she has to just keep
- 48:45it elevated whenever she can and we have
- 48:47to ice it. You know that drill. Yeah.
- 48:51Did you tell Abby?
- 48:53Did we tell Abby yet?
- 48:55No, we haven't told Abby yet. I'm very
- 48:57brokenhearted for McKenzie because she
- 48:59always loves to be in the group dance
- 49:01and when she can hang with the girls
- 49:04you know
- 49:05it just makes it
- 49:06I don't know. I just want her to be
- 49:07happy and I'm so sad that she's not.
- 49:09Thanks for bringing Maddie home. Oh,
- 49:11you're welcome. We beat you. I know. We
- 49:13were at the hospital.
- 49:16We went in and out.
- 49:17I just don't know what to think about
- 49:18McKenzie's foot. I mean, 2 days ago she
- 49:20was jumping around the dance studio like
- 49:22a jumping bean and now she can't dance
- 49:24for 3 days and it's right before the
- 49:25competition. So, Kenz, what do you think
- 49:27about not being able to dance?
- 49:29Sad. Sad. You're sad?
- 49:34Yeah, you're not going to know what to
- 49:35do with yourself, huh? You're always
- 49:36dancing. But Mackenzie loves this dance
- 49:39so much.
- 49:40It was really hard for her at first.
- 49:42You know, but once she caught on, she
- 49:44really loved it.
- 49:46She likes hip-hop. Yeah. Our other girls
- 49:48McKenzie hate hip-hop. Mine probably
- 49:50wish they had the ace bandage on their
- 49:52foot so they didn't have to do this
- 49:54dance. Kenzie's actually really good in
- 49:56hip-hop, I think, for her, you know.
- 49:59Yeah.
- 49:59I know the other girls, none of the
- 50:00girls really like hip-hop.
- 50:03Just make sure you rest it so when you
- 50:04come back
- 50:05back
- 50:06it doesn't bother you again. I just
- 50:07think Mackenzie's a little intimidated
- 50:09by the hip-hop dance. I think that it's
- 50:11a difficult dance and I don't know, I
- 50:13feel like she bit off a little more than
- 50:14she can chew.
- 50:16Oh, it's crazy. So Kenzie, you going to
- 50:17come away with us at least to the
- 50:18competition?
- 50:21Cheer us on?
- 50:22Yeah.
- 50:23You can do the dance in your seat.
- 50:25The audience.
- 50:32March! March! Let's go!
- 50:40We're here at Intensity Dance in
- 50:42Minneapolis, Minnesota. Now, I brought
- 50:44my troops all the way here and they
- 50:47better be ready for battle. The Abby Lee
- 50:49Dance Company better dance with military
- 50:51precision because I will not accept
- 50:54anything less than first place.
- 51:04All right, now listen.
- 51:06You walked in and you walked at least 50
- 51:08ft in the hallway.
- 51:10If you can do that, you can dance.
- 51:13Your mother should have left you at
- 51:14home.
- 51:16Abby won't excuse a dancer from dancing
- 51:18unless you have a doctor's excuse.
- 51:20Mackenzie had to hand her a doctor's
- 51:21excuse saying she can't dance for at
- 51:23least 72 hours.
- 51:26Lo and behold, miraculously
- 51:30appears the doctor's note. So,
- 51:33you're going to get yourself in the
- 51:33audience, you're going to sit and you're
- 51:35going to put your leg up. If you keep it
- 51:37dangling down,
- 51:39it's going to swell.
- 51:40Hey, if you can't do the number, then
- 51:43you can't run around this auditorium all
- 51:44day long. You're going to sit and you're
- 51:46going to rest that foot so that you're
- 51:48better next week.
- 51:50What?
- 51:52Come here.
- 51:55When you asked if you can be back on the
- 51:56pyramid, what did she say?
- 51:59You have to show her
- 52:01like that you're improving and that
- 52:02you're working. It has nothing to do
- 52:04with me. I will do my best, but it has
- 52:05to come from you, okay? Okay. I pull
- 52:08Chloe aside and I tell her, you know,
- 52:10Chloe, you need to show Abby that you're
- 52:12committed to this. You know, she needs
- 52:13to be stretching. She needs to be
- 52:15running the dance. She needs to be
- 52:17showing Abby that she is taking the
- 52:19initiative to get back on that pyramid.
- 52:21Like if you want to be back on the
- 52:22pyramid, you have to do it. Okay. Okay?
- 52:26McKenzie,
- 52:28look what Miss Abby has for you. Until
- 52:30you have a clean bill of health, your
- 52:32butt is in this chair.
- 52:34Get in it.
- 52:35Come on. When Abby walks into that
- 52:37dressing room with the wheelchair and
- 52:39she's heading over to Mackenzie, I'm
- 52:41like, you got to be kidding me. You are
- 52:43not bringing a wheelchair for Mackenzie.
- 52:46Now, I don't want your arm sore.
- 52:48That's just a seat for you so that
- 52:50you're not standing.
- 53:05All right, Kendall, are you ready?
- 53:09Kendall!
- 53:12What did we talk about?
- 53:14My face. Your face. You just arched up,
- 53:17rolled up into that knee, nothing.
- 53:19Vanilla.
- 53:21Vanilla ice cream. There's 31 flavors
- 53:23and you're giving me vanilla. I don't
- 53:24want vanilla. I really like this
- 53:26choreography. It's contemporary. It's
- 53:29not quite as jazzy as she's done in the
- 53:31past and I know Kendall can nail this.
- 53:34Unfortunately, good is not going to win
- 53:36a war. Not against these enemies.
- 53:40Maddie, you ready?
- 53:43That was atrocious. This is an uphill
- 53:45battle.
- 53:46You're trying to get back on top of that
- 53:48pyramid. Neither one of the girls looks
- 53:50as sharp and as clean as I want them to.
- 53:54They need to get serious about this. I
- 53:56will not accept second place.
- 54:03Earlier in the week, Melissa said that
- 54:06Mackenzie didn't want to do the dance
- 54:07because she thought it was too hard. So,
- 54:09why can't you just say she doesn't want
- 54:10to do the dance? Maybe Mackenzie was
- 54:12intimidated by the hip-hop dance. Maybe
- 54:14she didn't want to just step up and say
- 54:15it's too hard for me and so maybe the
- 54:17ankle injury wasn't quite as bad as it
- 54:19was, but it was an out. She's been on it
- 54:22all day.
- 54:33I'm kind of nervous because first of
- 54:36all, I'm against Maddie.
- 54:38And second of all, there's a lot of good
- 54:40dancers here. All right, ladies and
- 54:42gentlemen, in the junior solo division,
- 54:44we have entry number nine. This kid is
- 54:46Kendall with Secrets and Lies. GO,
- 54:48KENDALL!
- 56:54KENDALL JUST PERFORMED AND SHE WAS GOOD.
- 56:56Good enough for first place?
- 56:59I don't think so.
- 57:00But I know that my best shot for first
- 57:02place is coming up next.
- 57:05All right, moving ahead just a little
- 57:06bit in your program to entry number 24,
- 57:09it is Maddie with Uphill Battle.
- 59:27Maddie danced flawless on stage. I
- 59:29thought she was great. She brought it.
- 59:31I was very proud of her.
- 59:34Good job,
- 59:35Kalani. You rocked it.
- 59:38Hey girls.
- 59:41Nice jobs.
- 59:43Good. Nice work. Good job. So Kendall,
- 59:47what did you think? I thought I did
- 59:49good. You thought you did good? Yes.
- 59:51Just good enough?
- 59:53So why didn't you do great?
- 59:57I really thought she did a nice job.
- 59:59Abby always wants more. If she wants
- 1:00:01more, we'll have to try to give her
- 1:00:03more.
- 1:00:04But I was very pleased with it. Kalani,
- 1:00:06did you feel like you made it up the
- 1:00:08hill? Do you feel like that was the
- 1:00:10performance that's going to do it?
- 1:00:12Right. Okay. Good.
- 1:00:20Brooke.
- 1:00:22Keep doing what you're doing.
- 1:00:23What?
- 1:00:26Mackenzie, I'm going to go take you to
- 1:00:27the audience.
- 1:00:29I think it's rude that Abby ran
- 1:00:31everybody's dances but Brooke's. Watch
- 1:00:33her do her dance for God's sake.
- 1:00:35If you want Brooke to be a leader and
- 1:00:36you want her to act like she cares, then
- 1:00:38maybe you should act like you care.
- 1:00:48Wasn't it nice for Abby to come in? But
- 1:00:50she left and didn't run Brooke's solo.
- 1:00:54I don't know.
- 1:00:56It would be nice if her dance teacher
- 1:00:57was
- 1:00:58a cheerleader for her, maybe.
- 1:01:01Just saying. Abby wants Brooke to care
- 1:01:03about dance, but how is she supposed to
- 1:01:05care about it when her dance teacher
- 1:01:07doesn't even give a about her?
- 1:01:09Abby wants her to like want it so much.
- 1:01:12But how can she want it when her teacher
- 1:01:14doesn't want it for her?
- 1:01:17She's out here this entire time doing it
- 1:01:19by herself. She didn't look at her
- 1:01:20costume. She didn't tell her how to wear
- 1:01:21her hair. She didn't tell her nothing.
- 1:01:24But she did that one.
- 1:01:27But watch her do her dance for God's
- 1:01:29sake. If Brooke doesn't do well on this
- 1:01:31solo, I'm blaming it all on Abby. I
- 1:01:33don't know how Abby expects her to do
- 1:01:35well when she doesn't pay any attention
- 1:01:36to her. You know guys, I have to use the
- 1:01:38restroom real quick. Excuse me.
- 1:01:44So, what kinds of secrets and lies do
- 1:01:46you think that one's keeping?
- 1:01:48a secret, apparently.
- 1:01:50Abby, hold up. I want to show you
- 1:01:52something I had done for Kendall. I had
- 1:01:54some new headshots taken.
- 1:01:55Okay. Because Woo! That's beautiful.
- 1:01:59See, that's what I think of Kendall when
- 1:02:01I look at her. She's a gorgeous child.
- 1:02:03I'd love to take advantage of that. Now,
- 1:02:06while she's young. For the pyramid or at
- 1:02:08the studio? I love that. I think it's
- 1:02:10gorgeous. Can we use one of these for
- 1:02:12the pyramid? Oh, yes.
- 1:02:13Let's do new pyramid shot. Jill wants
- 1:02:15her kid on top.
- 1:02:17And she'll do anything to get her there.
- 1:02:20Be careful what you wish for, Jill.
- 1:02:24Melissa.
- 1:02:26Mackenzie.
- 1:02:28Was running around here doing
- 1:02:29cartwheels. She was using her wheelchair
- 1:02:32as a prop. I was yelling at her all day.
- 1:02:34You said earlier in the week Mackenzie
- 1:02:36thought the dance was too hard.
- 1:02:38Mackenzie loved this dance, Christi. She
- 1:02:39told me she was so she cried when she
- 1:02:41got home because she loved this dance so
- 1:02:44much. She's hurt. She's not lying. My
- 1:02:46child is not lying. I promise you.
- 1:02:48Earlier today, when Abby wasn't in the
- 1:02:50room, we saw Mackenzie doing cartwheels.
- 1:02:53I think she just doesn't want to be in
- 1:02:54the group dance and Melissa's covering
- 1:02:56for her. And you have to see our point
- 1:02:58that we're saying.
- 1:02:59I do, but my daughter is hurt.
- 1:03:00She was completely running around here
- 1:03:02that entire time.
- 1:03:03No, the doctor did not say for her not
- 1:03:05to walk, not to dance for 72 hours.
- 1:03:10She's not supposed to walk on her foot.
- 1:03:12She probably shouldn't be doing
- 1:03:12cartwheels, either. My God! I didn't
- 1:03:15make her do it.
- 1:03:16Fake.
- 1:03:20I don't want you to think I'm picking on
- 1:03:21Mackenzie. Whatever.
- 1:03:24I already told you. I don't need to
- 1:03:25explain.
- 1:03:35All right, moving ahead just a little
- 1:03:36bit in your program to entry number 424,
- 1:03:39Brooke with Arm Yourself.
- 1:04:42Good job.
- 1:05:50I think Brooke did really well in her
- 1:05:52dance considering she didn't have a
- 1:05:53dance teacher run it with her. I think
- 1:05:55that if Abby would have been in the
- 1:05:57dressing room and ran the solo with her,
- 1:05:59Brooke wouldn't have been out of step. I
- 1:06:01thought Brooke did really good. Yeah,
- 1:06:03she did well. Beautiful.
- 1:06:04I know one thing. I don't want to hear
- 1:06:05one thing from Abby.
- 1:06:07What?
- 1:06:07Like one correction. Because she wasn't
- 1:06:09in here to run her dance with her. You
- 1:06:10know what? If you can't give her the
- 1:06:11corrections before she goes on stage,
- 1:06:13then don't give her any. She spent no
- 1:06:15time with her. She never looked at her
- 1:06:16costume once. She never looked at her
- 1:06:18makeup. She never told her how to wear
- 1:06:20her hair. Nothing. Never watched her do
- 1:06:22a thing.
- 1:06:23She did it on her own. And I'm proud of
- 1:06:25her.
- 1:06:29You were
- 1:06:30amazing.
- 1:06:31Good job, Brooke. I loved it.
- 1:06:34Beautiful, girlfriend. I don't think you
- 1:06:36could have done it any better.
- 1:06:39And you know what? You got no help.
- 1:06:41Does that bother you that Abby doesn't
- 1:06:42help you?
- 1:06:43She was yelling at me.
- 1:06:45No matter how you score,
- 1:06:47I was proud of you.
- 1:06:49Thank you. I think Brooke showed a lot
- 1:06:51of maturity by doing this all on her
- 1:06:54own. She did it without a dance teacher.
- 1:06:59All right, Brooke. Nice job. Thank you.
- 1:07:02How did it feel?
- 1:07:04Pretty good. Pretty good?
- 1:07:07So, do you think it could have been
- 1:07:08better?
- 1:07:10You do?
- 1:07:12Why didn't you do your best?
- 1:07:14Well, I got stuck on my one turn. Like
- 1:07:17on the floor, like On the arabesque?
- 1:07:19Yes. Brooke did well with her solo, but
- 1:07:22I think she could have done a whole lot
- 1:07:24better. If Brooke would realize that she
- 1:07:26was put on this earth to dance,
- 1:07:28maybe she would work harder. Maybe she
- 1:07:30would be more passionate.
- 1:07:34What's the matter? Why are you sitting
- 1:07:35there sulking?
- 1:07:37Maybe if her dance teacher was in here
- 1:07:38running it with her before she went out
- 1:07:39on stage, she She did it. It was great.
- 1:07:41I said it was great.
- 1:07:43Brooke, if you keep running it and
- 1:07:44running it and running it, your back's
- 1:07:45going to hurt.
- 1:07:46You're the major here or the colonel or
- 1:07:48whatever it is. You need to be the the,
- 1:07:51you know, seniority
- 1:07:53up the ladder.
- 1:07:53She isn't treated like with seniority.
- 1:07:56I treat her like a 14-year-old.
- 1:07:58I have a bunch of 14-year-olds at home
- 1:08:00ready to do their dances and nobody's
- 1:08:01there running them with them. Yeah, and
- 1:08:03you haven't run hers with her for the
- 1:08:04last two weeks or last two solos. I
- 1:08:06expect you to remember. It's a 2-minute
- 1:08:08solo.
- 1:08:09You need to remember it.
- 1:08:11Brooke is 14 years old. It's time for
- 1:08:14her to be independent. If she was in an
- 1:08:16audition, would she have her dance
- 1:08:18teacher there to run the numbers with
- 1:08:19her 10 minutes before she goes on? Uh,
- 1:08:22no. Brooke, it's time to grow up.
- 1:08:24What about you, Mackenzie? How's the
- 1:08:26foot? She just told me it felt a little
- 1:08:27better. It did feel a little better?
- 1:08:30She's resting a little bit. But it's
- 1:08:31Resting? What are you resting from? All
- 1:08:33the cartwheels you were doing?
- 1:08:36Come on. My eyes and ears are
- 1:08:39everywhere. Did Mackenzie really think
- 1:08:41that she was going to do cartwheels and
- 1:08:43I wouldn't know about it? Mackenzie, if
- 1:08:45you're faking that injury, there's going
- 1:08:47to be huge repercussions. She was
- 1:08:49hopping. Oh, Melissa. She was. I was
- 1:08:51watching her, Kel.
- 1:08:52Melissa, don't lie for your kids.
- 1:08:54I'm not. I'm not.
- 1:08:55enough for yourself as it is. Without
- 1:08:57lying for her. I was watching her. I
- 1:09:00think Melissa is covering for Mackenzie.
- 1:09:02They both need to just fess up and get
- 1:09:03their punishment over with already. I
- 1:09:05told her to sit down a hundred times.
- 1:09:07She said, "I'm not on my foot, Mom."
- 1:09:09Melissa, did your mom and dad TAKE A
- 1:09:11HUNDRED TIMES TO TELL YOU THE same
- 1:09:13thing?
- 1:09:13Never. But you're letting her run you.
- 1:09:18Well, if you can do cartwheels and you
- 1:09:19can do this and you can do that, you can
- 1:09:21do the dance for a while. I wasn't on my
- 1:09:24foot. You weren't on your foot?
- 1:09:26I don't want to be lied to. You skipped
- 1:09:28down the hallway, you walked down the
- 1:09:29hallway. People heard you say it didn't
- 1:09:31hurt anymore.
- 1:09:33Let's all learn this lesson. You're
- 1:09:34injured, you're staying home. I don't I
- 1:09:37need that like a hole in the head.
- 1:09:39I need to get to the bottom of this foot
- 1:09:40thing. McKenzie and Melissa, their
- 1:09:43stories just aren't adding up. There's
- 1:09:45one way to find out what's really going
- 1:09:46on. Interrogation tactics. Brooke,
- 1:09:50I want YOU TO LINE EVERYBODY UP
- 1:09:53right here.
- 1:09:54Facing that way.
- 1:09:56Come on, let's go.
- 1:09:59Maddie, yes, ma'am.
- 1:10:01Did McKenzie go to the hospital when she
- 1:10:03left dance class?
- 1:10:04Yes, ma'am.
- 1:10:08Nia, yes, ma'am.
- 1:10:10Did you witness
- 1:10:12McKenzie doing cartwheels in here?
- 1:10:14I didn't see her do a cartwheel. Don't
- 1:10:17you lie to me. I just saw her walk. You
- 1:10:19saw her walk. Did she limp? Yeah.
- 1:10:23She doesn't have a broken foot. It's a
- 1:10:25sprained ankle. You can walk on a
- 1:10:27sprained ankle. Did anybody else witness
- 1:10:31McKenzie out of the chair doing a trick
- 1:10:36or upside down?
- 1:10:39Finally, the truth comes out. I knew
- 1:10:42these kids would crack under pressure.
- 1:10:44McKenzie, I'm not very happy.
- 1:10:46You're playing around and making a joke
- 1:10:47of it. I don't want to wounded soldier.
- 1:10:50Paige was in a cast for weeks.
- 1:10:55Want to get better and you want to be
- 1:10:56okay for Monday? You stay off it.
- 1:11:01Soldier, you save those tears for the
- 1:11:03pillow.
- 1:11:04We don't have time for tears.
- 1:11:16Do we all know what we're doing? Legs
- 1:11:17straight, feet pointed, shoulders down,
- 1:11:20TIMING, FACIAL EXPRESSIONS.
- 1:11:24Before I deploy my troops, they need to
- 1:11:26get this choreography down pat.
- 1:11:29Windows, Chloe.
- 1:11:30This thing with Chloe has gone on long
- 1:11:32enough. Now, she hasn't been on the
- 1:11:34pyramid since her suspension.
- 1:11:36I want to talk to Chloe. I want to make
- 1:11:38sure she knows where she stands with me.
- 1:11:43Come here.
- 1:11:44I'm going to be watching you
- 1:11:46during this number. Yes. And this whole
- 1:11:48thing is about don't ask, just tell. You
- 1:11:51need to start speaking up for yourself.
- 1:11:53Yes?
- 1:11:54I've had issues with your mother in the
- 1:11:56past. My issue with you is that you
- 1:11:58don't speak up and tell your mother,
- 1:12:00that's not right. We should not be doing
- 1:12:02that. That's against my contract. You
- 1:12:05need to speak up. Understand? That's why
- 1:12:08I'm disappointed in you. And if you walk
- 1:12:11into that studio and you can't look
- 1:12:13every instructor, including myself, in
- 1:12:15the eye because you have some secret
- 1:12:18that's going on and your mother says,
- 1:12:20"Don't say anything about that." That's
- 1:12:21a lie. Understand?
- 1:12:24Chloe and I have made a commitment to
- 1:12:25this team. Chloe is a national title
- 1:12:27winner. I have signed Abby's contracts.
- 1:12:30Like, we are clearly here. Let's move
- 1:12:32forward, put her back on the pyramid,
- 1:12:34let the kid dance, and let's move on.
- 1:12:37SOLDIERS, ARE YOU READY? YES, MA'AM.
- 1:12:40THE LAST TIME YOU DID A HIP-HOP DANCE IT
- 1:12:42WAS EMBARRASSING.
- 1:12:44This time IT'S NOT GOING TO BE
- 1:12:45EMBARRASSING. This is it. My troops are
- 1:12:48ready to go into battle. This hip-hop
- 1:12:50number is ready to step on stage and I
- 1:12:53need the ALDC army
- 1:12:56victorious.
- 1:12:58This is war.
- 1:13:05All right, here we go in the junior
- 1:13:07small group division. This is entry
- 1:13:09number 84 with don't ask, just tell.
- 1:15:02That was
- 1:15:03entry number 84 with don't ask,
- 1:15:05just tell.
- 1:15:06They were delightful to watch. They were
- 1:15:09not the least bit embarrassed,
- 1:15:11intimidated, offered on stage. I mean,
- 1:15:13it wasn't perfect. No, I think everyone
- 1:15:16made a mistake. Was it seamless? Was it
- 1:15:18flawless? No. Nope. Nope. Nope. It
- 1:15:20wasn't any of those things, but it sure
- 1:15:22was entertaining.
- 1:15:34Get up. Let's go. Line up.
- 1:15:37Come on. Let's go.
- 1:15:40Line up. Line up. Line up. Let's go.
- 1:15:42I don't know why everybody's so happy
- 1:15:44and cheerful. I saw a ton of mistakes
- 1:15:46out there. And this is my army. If you
- 1:15:49mess up, there will be consequences.
- 1:15:53Face me.
- 1:15:56Nia.
- 1:15:57Brooke and Nia.
- 1:15:58What mistake did you make? I
- 1:16:00accidentally twisted the wrong way. So,
- 1:16:04what do we do for that mistake?
- 1:16:06I'm not your dance teacher.
- 1:16:0920 push-ups.
- 1:16:12Next, Kendall.
- 1:16:14What mistake did you make? I needed to
- 1:16:16work more on my face and my spacing. You
- 1:16:20were chosen and you were put in that
- 1:16:21spot next to Maddie.
- 1:16:23You get on stage and you choke.
- 1:16:27Drop and give me 20.
- 1:16:28Maddie, what did you do wrong in the
- 1:16:30dance?
- 1:16:31I accidentally like
- 1:16:34I was like skipping up like that. Drop
- 1:16:37and give me 20.
- 1:16:40Tell me what you did wrong.
- 1:16:42I used my hands wrong.
- 1:16:44Drop and give me 20.
- 1:16:50Paige.
- 1:16:52Drop and give me 20.

- 1:19:38Who was that?
- 1:19:40And in 6th We finished in 7th.
- 1:19:42Um, I thought that was pretty good
- 1:19:44because I didn't think we would be in
- 1:19:45the top 10. Very well done, 7th place.
- 1:19:47The Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 1:19:49Congratulations. 6th place. Abby's
- 1:19:51probably not going to be happy about 7th
- 1:19:53place for this group dance.
- 1:19:55I don't know what she's going to make
- 1:19:56them do.
- 1:19:58Maybe boot camp again this week.
- 1:19:59No, I don't want it.
- 1:20:01I got to look back here.
- 1:20:02god, I have both of them.
- 1:20:03are still I'm like, "Where are THEIR
- 1:20:04COSTUMES?"
- 1:20:06GOOD JOB, GIRLS. HEY, YOU did hip hop
- 1:20:08and you made the top of the pyramid.
- 1:20:10What's up, girl?
- 1:20:12I'm happy. Really proud of you. You
- 1:20:13should be really proud of yourself.
- 1:20:19Oh, she surrendered.
- 1:20:23It's not funny. I'm surrendering.
- 1:20:26Yeah.
- 1:20:28I'm waving the white flag because I
- 1:20:29surrender. I give up. I am sick and
- 1:20:32tired of fighting with these miserable
- 1:20:34women to get their kids to the next
- 1:20:37level. What place? 7th.
- 1:20:407th?
- 1:20:42Maddie, 2nd?
- 1:20:44I thought you were great. I thought you
- 1:20:45were wonderful. I thought the kid was
- 1:20:46sloppy and a mess. Kendall, outstanding
- 1:20:49being
- 1:20:50in 4th overall. Maddie, she's chomping
- 1:20:53at your heels.
- 1:20:54Figure out if you want more.
- 1:20:57What about you?
- 1:20:592nd place. Just think if you worked this
- 1:21:03much harder.
- 1:21:04Chloe, I THOUGHT YOU LOOKED GOOD. You
- 1:21:06just shake your head and spot down on
- 1:21:07the ground from time to time. And you
- 1:21:09will work on that. Yes.
- 1:21:11You guys should have turned around in
- 1:21:13that line and attacked those judges.
- 1:21:17Personally, I don't know what Abby's so
- 1:21:18upset about. I mean, it's a hip hop
- 1:21:20number and hip hop is not exactly our
- 1:21:22forte. So, little piece of advice, Abby,
- 1:21:25if you want the girls to win, how about
- 1:21:27giving them choreography and a routine
- 1:21:30that they're good at?
- 1:21:31SOLDIERS, YOU ARE DISCHARGED. GO. OUT.
- 1:21:35I don't want to see you.
- 1:21:38Remember at the pyramid how I sent the
- 1:21:40girls out because I wanted to talk to
- 1:21:42all of you. You don't like me yelling at
- 1:21:43your kids.
- 1:21:44There was not one thing that I said that
- 1:21:46they didn't need to hear. Melissa,
- 1:21:49that kid should have won. She should
- 1:21:50have been 10 points above.
- 1:21:52You need to sit down with that kid and
- 1:21:55you need to figure out what we're doing
- 1:21:58cuz she could have just won that whole
- 1:22:00entire thing. She is throwing her talent
- 1:22:03away. And if she's in pain and she
- 1:22:06physically cannot do it, Kelly,
- 1:22:10it's time
- 1:22:11to not be dancing anymore.
- 1:22:137th overall high score? That doesn't
- 1:22:15sound like an overall high score to me.
- 1:22:17We went from 2nd all the way down to
- 1:22:197th. That's abysmal. There is something
- 1:22:22broken in the ALDC and I need to fix it
- 1:22:25and fix it quick.
- 1:22:28I will see you Monday and I'll tell you
- 1:22:29what.
- 1:22:31The kids need to be in class, ready to
- 1:22:33go at 5:30.
- 1:22:41Next on Dance Moms, the group routine is
- 1:22:43about Rosa Parks. Mackenzie, do you know
- 1:22:46what being benched is?
- 1:22:48I'm the only one who gets in trouble for
- 1:22:50wanting something for my child.
- 1:22:51of us do crazy stuff. DO SOMETHING WITH
- 1:22:53THAT FACE!
- 1:22:54WHAT'S THE status with Rosa Parks?
- 1:22:58We won last time. Remember that.
- 1:23:00men in their lives. They need men. Do
- 1:23:01you like affection? Who said they saw
- 1:23:03Cathy with a bodyguard?
- 1:23:05Maybe if we throw a stick, she'll leave.
- 1:23:07I'm not the one that fell down the ugly
- 1:23:09tree and got hit by every branch.
